My name is Jeff Lawson, I am the president of Lawson Family Plumbing. I has been a plumber for most of my adult life. My hobbies are plumbing and staying away from crack (plumbers crack) but seriously I like to go fishing, prospecting for gold, camping, and most importantly hang out with my family. I was born in Dayton Ohio and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I live in the East Valley with my wonderful wife and our two beautiful daughters ages 16 and 18.

A representative came to my house to give me a free quote for replacing a 1970s shower insert with a bathtub. The guy was very professional and efficient. He also asked about a water softener, which we don't currently have, but it was plumbed for one a long time ago (and we removed a very old non-functional water softener when I bought the house last year). He got all the information he needed and sent me a quote from his van immediately after the appointment.
The quote was $3000 to remove the insert & install a bathtub & move the drain (labor only, no tub or fixtures included, no drywall repair or anything).
The quote for the water softener was also $3000, which I believe included the water softener & labor to to replace the existing drain and old plumbing. These quotes seemed high so I am still shopping around. However, I have no doubt that this is a great company that does quality work.
We called Lawson Family Plumbing to come out to check on something that we thought was a plumbing issue. Tony came out and assessed the issue and confirmed the work could be done thru our home warranty. The initial service call was of no charge and he was friendly and professional. If we ever have plumbing issues we will definitely give this company a call.

I had my toilet removed for new flooring, so I just needed it reset. Harley showed up, apologized for being late, and proceeded to give me a price. To set my toilet was $506, and he used parts I had, that were left by the flooring company.
So, this highly over inflated price was for his time. Just his labor to remove and replace 3 parts, clean up under the base, hook up the water, set the toilet and caulk. I had 2 other quotes for $159 and $185, but went with Lawson. I'm not sure why, except he was here and I wanted it done or maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. Had I been strong enough to pick up and carry my toilet, I could have set it myself. Extremely overrated and over inflated. I gave 2 stars because my toilet is in.
I called Lawson to fix my outside faucet. It was for the house and sprinkler and one other valve. He did a great job, even when the temperature over 100 in summer and having the sun beat on him. He was a super nice young man. Yes, I would call them again. a very far price even my son was very empress with the work and will call them if he has problem.

Priced out water softeners and got 3 bids. Lawson was most price competitive and used copper pipes not plastic to attach the water softener to my existing pipes. Nick answered all my questions - actually had plumbing experience from having worked on new home construction. In terms of price and service, Lawson is the best!

We've used their services twice now; a couple of months ago to replace a leaking kitchen sink faucet and today to replace a toilet. Both jobs were done properly, promptly and quickly. As promised, all plumbers who visited wore their masks, as did we.
Came and fixed our leak, even added some caulking at no charge! Dilan was efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly.
James was fantastic! Our garbage disposal wasn't working. He had it reset and unclogged in a jiffy and it was free of charge! I was so surprised. James was polite and informative. I will definitely be using this company for my future plumbing needs. Highly recommend. :)

Called in last night(1030pm) for emergency plumbing services and was assured that someone would be coming out last night for the repair. Was waiting up all night for a call that never happened.

The owner, Jeff, contacted me almost immediately after I submitted my review and was extremely apologetic. He explained that he was investigating what had happened and was going to work with Old Republic and me to fix the situation. He had a team out by 10 and we now have a working water heater! The team was super nice and did great work. Jeff was great to work with and I can now see why his company gets good reviews. Thank you for the great communication and responsibility!
We were assigned this company by Old Republic Home Warranty because we had a water heater that wasn't working. They had a technician come out the following day. He took one look at the water heater and said it needed to be replaced. He followed that up by saying that he wouldn't be able to do it and it would take two people to remove it and another company would need to be assigned by Old Republic. He was literally in my house for less than five minutes and it was obvious from his demeanor that he didn't want to be there. When I followed up with Old Republic, they told me that he had reported that our water heater was 75 gallons (it was only 50) and used that as his justification for why he couldn't take the job.
After moving to Chandler 10years ago, I am so glad I've found a reputable company to service all my plumbing needs. They have replaced my water heater (on a short notice, the owner came on a Sat). That was my first experience with them! Awesome service and left the place super clean! Since then I've called them with other problems, most recently a leaking shower. Tony came out on time and did an amazing job! Their prices are very competitive and they always show up super professional and friendly. They don't mind answering any questions you have and also try to educate you. Again, with so many plumbing companies out there, this company is top notch and the best!!!! You will not be disappointed!

I am so thankful that Lawson Plumbing's Daylon Allred came out and repaired the leaking bathroom faucets. These are high end faucets that we had installed about 6 years ago. Daylon ordered the correct ceramic cartridges for them...., was able to open them up, even with all mineral buildup they had internally. He successfully fixed the faucets in both bathrooms, and then installed an outside pressure regulator to get our water pressure correct. Thank you again, Daylon the faucets are good as new again.
I just hate hiring professionals to do a job because I just feel like I'm going to get a high bill for POOR labor ... HOWEVER, the Lawson Family Plumbing was a welcome change for me ... the plumber, Paul, listened to me and explained in detail what would need done and what didn't need to be done ... then he told me exactly what the cost would be to the penny ... Paul completed each task and I inspected his work and it was done perfectly ... Everything was done completely and thoroughly with no exceptions ... the price was more than fair (Thank You) and the work Paul did was Grade A First Class all the way, Paul was great, Thank you Sir ... To be honest the Lawson Family Plumbing is my go to plumbing company now ... their pricing is extremely fair and the quality of work is above reproach ... Prompt response, scheduled to arrive at 8:00 the following morning and techs arrived on time. We were having problems with our water heater, only to learn there had been a fire within the safety valves. The techs showed us the damage and quoted us to remove the old unit and replace with a higher efficiency model. Within hours of arrival the old unit was removed and hauled away and the new unit was installed along with a new line to replace the previous flex line that did not meet code requirements. Excellent customer service, knowledge and response time.

Michael showed up professional and ready, right at the agreed upon time. It felt like I was inviting an old family friend over to help me with my plumbing. He quickly solved my problem, assured me that if I had anymore problems I could give them a call (so they could further investigate), checked my water pressure and was gone. Lawson Family Plumbing came to our home to replace our hot water heater and install a Grundfos recirculating unit. Kevin was fast, courteous, and professional. We have used Lawson Family Plumbing in the past and have always had a good experience.

We had a tub spout and the stem was damaged. Larson came out and did a great job fixing the spout connection.
Later not related to the spout that fixed, we experience a water leak. We called them out to trouble shoot. They did and they corrected a shower stem and installed a new one - $199. They did a great job on the shower stem.
They warned at the time that there could be additional issues and recommended accessing the back through the drywall in the adjacent bedroom - $300 more for a total of $499.
My issue is the plumber appeared to be very impatient and rushed and didn't even bother to test out the first fix.
Bottom line - I replaced the bathtub drain and installed a new cartridge - I tested and no more leaking.
I will not be calling Larson for any plumbing services ever again. In my opinion their pricing is outrageous.

Mike was very knowledgeable and polite. He installed our RO system and fixed a leaky faucet in our master bath. The installation went great. He gave us great recommendations on how to move forward with a new water softener. I will use him again.
We came home from vacation to a stream of water running through our garage. We called Lawson at 9:50 p.m. and the said they would have someone out Saturday morning between 8 and 11. They called at 7:50 a.m. to say they were on the way and by 8:15 Kevin was at work. He was prompt, friendly and professional and took care of replacing the hot water heater quickly. We were back in business with hot water in less than two hours. He even had a recommendation for help with the water damage repair. Great service. I would definitly use them again.

I was very impressed with John, he was not only very professional he was able to fix the problem that I had caused by trying to fix the problem myself in a short period of time.
I will be recommending Lawson Family Plumbing to all my family and friends.
Great service from Tanner. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time, wearing a mask. Our toilet was lose and bolts would not tighten it. After removing the toilet Tanner found the toilet had been leaking and that caused the metal ring to rust and disintegrate. He at first though we would have to replace the flange, which was expensive. However he was able to get the ring off and chip away the concrete that was causing the ring to not sit correctly, which is what caused the leak in the first place. (It had been like that since house of we built!) Saved us several hundred dollars by not needing to replace the flange. Really appreciate the effort and honest work. He could have just as easily replaced the flange to charge the higher amount. Installed new toilet correctly. Did a great job cleaning up before he left.
We had a leaking sink as well as a bad garbage disposal, Joe showed up early and took the time to explain and show me exactly what the problem was . He was friendly, professional and finished the job quickly .
Lawson's saved the day! A lesser plumber botched a job. Lawson's repair was for a fraction of the price and they did the job quickly by arriving onsite. Will do business with Lawson's again.

As a first time homeowner, my first plumbing problem in my house was scary and stressful. I took to yelp to look for recommendations on which of the many plumbing companies would be most affordable and trustworthy. Lawson Family Plumbing lives up to their 5 star review!
From the first call, the ladies at the front desk put me at ease with their cheerfulness and flexibility with my schedule. I did have to wait a few days for someone to come out but luckily my toilets were still flushing.
Kevin, the technician, ended up coming to my house a total of 3 times. The first time was to unclog my main sewer line. He pulled up a bunch of roots that had infiltrated the line. I was able to use the yelp/Groupon deal which helped ease the cost of that first experience. He let me know he would need to come out again to camera the line to see exactly where the roots causing my problem were and that the main sewer line would ultimately need to be dug up and have a section replaced.
He came a second time to run the camera and found the spot that was causing all my problems. He emailed me a video of what they found. I didn't look at it until the day before he came out a third time but found it was not the video of my pipe. I mentioned it and he said he'd follow up and have someone send me the correct video. Not a big deal to me, but would like to have it on hand.
At this point, I already felt like I had spent an arm and a leg on the process so far. When he gave me the quote for the final step, which was to dig out the section and replace it, I was in tears. This quote included a discount associated with the previous work from the camera.
I'd much rather spend $1600 on a Hawaiian vacation or literally anything else but the tube that transport poop out of my house... but it needed to be done. Just to be in the safe side, I asked a few friends familiar with plumbing work if this quote was unreasonable. They both said it was a really good price for the amount of work it would take to access the area. One of them even suggested i ask if they would offer a discount if we dug the area out ourselves. I contacted the company and said they would be willing to offer a discount if we dug the hole ourselves.
It was a TON of work and literally took about 10 hours of intense digging to access the area. Digging out the area ourselves saved us half of the original quote. This was hard, intense labor that would be worth 100% of the hundreds of dollars they were going to charge us had we not been willing or able to do the work ourselves.
I am so grateful to Lawson Family Plumbing for their honesty, trustworthiness and professionalism. They were accommodating with my schedule and budget and completed the job with the highest quality work. I will be using this company again in the future and will be referring them to friends and family. Thanks again for everything!
I was having a tree removed from my front yard on a Saturday morning and the tree crew mistakenly broke the MAIN water line with their tractor. We were able to shut the water off at the meter. Hence, my family no longer had running water.
Lawson Family Plumbing was at my house within 20 minutes of my call and provided immediate temporary repairs to get my water back on for my children.
Lawson knew they had me over a barrel yet provided the repairs at a very reasonable price.
Update: The plumber from Lawson (Logan) is a true professional. The temporary repairs Logan provided was to hook-up a heavy duty line into my house to cover me for the weekend. Logan just dropped by today (Thursday) to check on the repairs. I had money-in-hand to pay for the temporary weekend repairs he provided. Logan refused to take my money. His primary concern was that my water was up and running with a new hard line. CLASS ACT!!

Tony is the man! Came to see our (pretty gnarly) plumbing situation, got us a very fair quote, and was back a couple days later to do the work. It was a pretty big job and Tony did a great job of keeping me informed and walking me through what he was doing, and he was friendly and knowledgeable. Lawson family was able to get out the same day to take a look at the problems we were having. My technician Mark quickly took care of the issue for us. He was very professional and polite. When you have to call a plumber, you know you are already having a bad day. We had an issue with our shower not turning off and had to turn the water off to our whole house until it could be fixed. Our home warranty company couldn't get someone out for almost a week and that wasn't going to work... I found Lawson Family Plumbing on Yelp and called them because of their great rating. They were able to come out that same day and took great care of us. The technician was friendly and knowledgable. He went out to buy the part he needed and came back to fix it quickly. He turned our day around and we are grateful. We love using family owned small businesses when we can and this one is a true gem.
We had an iron hose stuck to the spigot in the backyard that wouldn't budge even after an hour of trying to unscrew it myself. I didn't want to break the pipe attached, thinking that the entire spigot unit probably has to be sawed off and replaced, so I called up Lawson Family Plumbing and quickly got an appointment for the next day with David. He came out on time, was very professional and courteous, quickly trying a few things and then was able to get the hose unstuck and screwed out within 10 minutes; and he did not charge me for the work! I definitely recommend them and will use them the next time I require any kind of plumbing work around the house. Thank you David!
UPDATE: Monday (7-25) Mike from Quality Control reached out to me and Lawson Plumbing has decided to refund us the total amount of our water bill. My family and I thank the company for coming to this decision.
This company is great. I called them on a Monday at 8 am with a small leak in my RO filter and they had someone out to me by 9:30. They quickly found the issue and had it fixed in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. I'd highly recommend them if you need quick and reliable service.

The water suddenly opened like a cloud burst from the ceiling. Luckily, I had called Option One who showed up to help. We had a drain clog a few months ago with Matt coming to save the day, so I knew to call Option One again! Matt is so calm and helpful- explaining what's going on and needs to be fixed. Matt and Robert just turned the water back on, and we're good to go! Matt with Option One is the best!

We have used them several times in the last few months and each time a different tech came out. There were all professional, prompt, efficient and nice. The receptionists are professional and nice too! The quote let us know how much the job was going to cost before they started.
Tony, the last tech that came out told me everything he was doing step-by-step.. He did a neat job and was methodical about his work and I can say that about the other techs as well. Unfortunately I don't remember their names.
MY ONLY CONCERN is Lawson Family Plumbing will grow too big and they'll lose that personal touch of customer service. If that happens, I will have to find another plumbing company.

Lawson Family Plumbing is an awesome company - and in particular, Jason.
We cannot say enough about Jason's skill and integrity, he is truly a master at his craft.
We had them come out to clear a drainage problem we had in both our bathrooms. Because our home is almost 60 years old, it has no clean-outs, and none were ever installed. Therefore, Jason had to run his auger down the vent from the rooftop.
With the help of a drain-camera, Jason found that many pieces of PVC pipe had been cut off (at some time before we bought the house), and carelessly/wrecklessly/maliciously dropped down the rooftop sewer vent. We had no idea that PVC was sitting at the bottom of our drain line. With Jason's masterful insight, wizardry and tenacity he made it possible to fish-out the offending PVC. One piece of PVC was around 8' long and another was 2' long. For the life of me I do not understand why 'anyone' would throw PVC pipe down their rooftop-sewer-vent, but some simpleton did.
Anyway, long story short....
We will unhesitatingly refer anyone who asks us, Hire Lawson Family Plumbing and have your plumbing problems resolved now!
I wound up changing out my sink, faucet and garbage disposal. I got everything installed myself but wanted a plumber to come out and change out my old corrugated supply lines to quarter turn ball valves. Also since I was going from a two drain to a single drain sink with an off center drain, the waste line needed to be redone.
The repairman arrived right on time, was friendly, and was done pretty quickly. Everything worked great right away and the price was less than I was bracing myself for which is always a good thing. I would definitely recommend this company.
Update 9-2018 I needed my washer water lines fixed up. The shut off valves that were installed when the house was built back in '96 were a joke. I called on a Thursday night, and I was their first appointment at 8 on Friday. Sean came out and had to cut into the dry wall to get access to the pipes. He did the work quickly and he did a really good job patching up the hole. I was worried what it would look like, but it's perfectly fine. He installed modern valves that you can actually turn with your hand. The old valves had a metal flag with two legs connecting them to the valve. I had to use pliers to open and close the valves and they were never perfectly shut off. Will definitely call them future work. They are great!

I have hired many plumbers and contractor's and this outfit ranks among the best imho. Had my faucet replaced and toilet reset. Not a big job but some folks can make a big production out of nothing. Not Lawson's - they kept it simple and quick! They use only best materials and do clean work. Jeff P was efficient, thorough and friendly. Lawsons is easy to do business with. Reasonable charges and punctual! They are my go-to plumbers from now on.
From start to finish, we had a great experience. Our tech, Jeff, first showed up the same day we had called for an estimate as he had a local cancellation. Jeff was very professional and knowledgeable. We showed Jeff what was to be done at that time. A few days later, Jeff sent a revised estimate as we had an issue come up and wanted to make sure we were comparing the same thing amongst estimates. Through out the process, I consulted with Jeff, who exhibited great communication skills, a sign of great customer service. When everything was all said and done, we chose Lawson Family Plumbing for our home improvement project as they had the balance of fair pricing, great communication skills, and could do the project when it was convenient for us. That service was performed on June 15. Jeff called 30 minutes prior to arriving for the appointment, along with his assistant. We showed them all of the parts we supplied and they verified we had everything intact. Our project was completed in approximately 2 hours. The quality of the workmanship was great. We had an iron hose stuck to the spigot in the backyard that wouldn't budge even after an hour of trying to unscrew it myself. I didn't want to break the pipe attached, thinking that the entire spigot unit probably has to be sawed off and replaced, so I called up Lawson Family Plumbing and quickly got an appointment for the next day with David. He came out on time, was very professional and courteous, quickly trying a few things and then was able to get the hose unstuck and screwed out within 10 minutes; and he did not charge me for the work! I definitely recommend them and will use them the next time I require any kind of plumbing work around the house. Thank you David!

I contacted Lawson Family Plumbing regarding replacing a broken shutoff valve on my outside water inlet pipe. I also had a leak that I needed to track down. Robert came out and gave me an estimate on replacing the valve. He also explained the process of tracking down the leak after the valve was replaced. Robert came out on time to complete the repair. Due to his explination of tracking down the leak, I was able to find it. The repair price was very fair and Robert did a great job! Based upon my interaction with Robert and Lawson Family Plumbing, they will be my go to in the event I need plumbing services again!
As a first time homeowner, my first plumbing problem in my house was scary and stressful. I took to yelp to look for recommendations on which of the many plumbing companies would be most affordable and trustworthy. Lawson Family Plumbing lives up to their 5 star review!
From the first call, the ladies at the front desk put me at ease with their cheerfulness and flexibility with my schedule. I did have to wait a few days for someone to come out but luckily my toilets were still flushing.
Kevin, the technician, ended up coming to my house a total of 3 times. The first time was to unclog my main sewer line. He pulled up a bunch of roots that had infiltrated the line. I was able to use the yelp/Groupon deal which helped ease the cost of that first experience. He let me know he would need to come out again to camera the line to see exactly where the roots causing my problem were and that the main sewer line would ultimately need to be dug up and have a section replaced.
He came a second time to run the camera and found the spot that was causing all my problems. He emailed me a video of what they found. I didn't look at it until the day before he came out a third time but found it was not the video of my pipe. I mentioned it and he said he'd follow up and have someone send me the correct video. Not a big deal to me, but would like to have it on hand.
At this point, I already felt like I had spent an arm and a leg on the process so far. When he gave me the quote for the final step, which was to dig out the section and replace it, I was in tears. This quote included a discount associated with the previous work from the camera.
I'd much rather spend $1600 on a Hawaiian vacation or literally anything else but the tube that transport poop out of my house... but it needed to be done. Just to be in the safe side, I asked a few friends familiar with plumbing work if this quote was unreasonable. They both said it was a really good price for the amount of work it would take to access the area. One of them even suggested i ask if they would offer a discount if we dug the area out ourselves. I contacted the company and said they would be willing to offer a discount if we dug the hole ourselves.
It was a TON of work and literally took about 10 hours of intense digging to access the area. Digging out the area ourselves saved us half of the original quote. This was hard, intense labor that would be worth 100% of the hundreds of dollars they were going to charge us had we not been willing or able to do the work ourselves.
I am so grateful to Lawson Family Plumbing for their honesty, trustworthiness and professionalism. They were accommodating with my schedule and budget and completed the job with the highest quality work. I will be using this company again in the future and will be referring them to friends and family. Thanks again for everything!

Gotta tell you, I have found success in using YELP reviews to help with how/who to call on home services. I have a basement (yes in AZ) and my sewage ejection pump alarm went off...I shut down all bathroom use in basement and called Lawson.
They said, we can send someone out, with NO SERVICE CALL FEE! Not only did they send someone out the next morning, Joe, their supervisor came out, as he is very versed with sewage ejectors.
Joe was patient and focused with his questions. In the end, Joe simply said, it's running fine. Alarm may had gone off due to the float getting stuck...
Most importantly, Joe provided advice that I wouldn't of thought about (home warranty, Joe, home warranty, do you remember?!!)
Any ways of you need a plumber, call Lawson Family Plumbing. Solid referral from me! Thanks Joe and Lawson family for giving me plumber confidence.

Sewage water started coming up through the pipes into our bathtubs and our toilets started gurgling on Christmas Eve, of course. Not the best holiday experience. Did I mention I just had surgery three days prior? I knew we'd never get anyone out on Christmas Eve or Christmas but started researching different companies for quality work. We called Lawson Family Plumbing on the 26th and Austin came out within 6 hours. He unclogged our pipes but that was just a quick fix. The original plumbing company that put our sewer lines in did very poor and sloppy work. The pipes were angled up instead of down and couplers were put on upside down causing bellies in the lines. They came out on the 28th and marked the area, showed my husband the problems, and made a video of the issues. Austin also moved all the rocks out of the way. Very nice of him. It was a huge job. SRP, Town of Gilbert, SWG and the cable company had to come out and mark their lines on the 29th. Four hardworking men started trenching on the 30th at 6am and stayed until it was done at 1 am. They came out again the next morning to clean up and move all the rock back. You always hear people complaining about the high prices plumbers charge for their work but believe me these guys earned every cent. They are honest, hardworking and very nice people. I highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing.

My overall interaction with this company was pretty good. My hot water heater was leaking and I called Lawson Family Plumbing out to assess the issue. They sent Tony out who assessed my issue and said that I needed a new hot water heater. I got a price from him.
He also showed me that there was water damage underneath my hot water heater and that probably needed to be taken care of. I believe he drained the tank, shut off the hot water heater, and I thought him do everything, but there was one thing I did not see him do, which was flip a metal thing at the top of my hot water heater.
He also turned off the water to my hot water heater, which I knew he did, but I didn't know doing so would not allow me to get any water whatsoever to my bathrooms. I couldn't have that. So I turned back on the water to the hot water heater and him flipping the metal switch at the top caused the water to come out of the side of the house.
We ended up in a short amount of time getting a lot of water to the side of our house so I turned off the water to the hot water heater again and called Lawson Plumbing, actually called and texted Tony. The office called me back to schedule for Tony to come back out.
I think it was maybe a couple hours later, Tony walked me on the phone to flip that metal thing back up, turn back on the water so I could have water to my bathrooms. He never came back out. He told me that the water would no longer drain out to my side yard, but it my hot water heater would still be leaking.
It's not a huge deal that he didn't tell me that he flipped that metal thing, but not having any water to my bathrooms wasn't good, so that's why a 4 star instead of 5 star.
Unfortunately, I learned that my home warranty used another plumbing company instead, so I did not use Lawson Family Plumbing. But if I had to, I would probably go with these guys.
There was not cost to give me a quote on the work that needed to be done.

UPDATE----- YELP works for those owners/manager/executives that care. I posted a comment/review with a one star rating due to the issues stated below. The owner was aware that there were issues but thought they had been taken care of. Unfortunately they hadn't and there wasn't much follow up until I posted the review. I immediately received a call from Jeff Lawson with an apology and willingness to make it right. They had a technician back out to fix what issues hadn't already been taken care of by our team. Jeff is very concerned with the quality of work and how his technicians represent the company. I am pleased to say they continue to work hard to repair the issues and my confidence in their company. Because of this I am updating my rating to 4 stars. As with any company it is difficult to control and oversee all employees and their work. I am chalking this up to a one time bad experience which will hopefully never happen again. Jeff---thank you for the continual follow up, please continue to care about your company, its quality of work and the way your technician represent the company.
Had them come out to quote work to reroute some water lines, install a hot water heater and tie into an RO system. I spoke with the plumber and approved the price and project. Project got completed but not without several issues. They forgot to mention that they would have to cut into the drywall to add support for the water heater but would not repair the drywall. Found this out after I had accepted the quote the same day they were supposed to do the work. Water lines from the RO system to the water heater were run in poly, the were mounted but crooked and not running straight. A few extra pipe clamps would have gone a long way. They also pulled out ceiling tiles to mount the water heater. Mounted it so high that the ceiling tile wouldn't fit back in and never put the other ones back. They couldn't even take the time to cut one ceiling tile so that the ceiling grid was closed up. The final straw was when they left a pile of insulation in the hallway where they had been working on rerouting the water lines. A message was sent to the plumber about the issues. I did receive a voicemail from the owner on over the weekend asking about the issues, but by that time we'd already hired a handyman to come in and clean up their mess. It is amazing what people will try to get away with when they think nobody is looking. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive when it comes to cost but the quality of work definitely leaves something to be desired. Other than one voicemail, no additional follow up was ever done. Pretty disappointing!
Waking up to a puddle in your yard and side walk is never a good feeling. Called on a Sunday to get some information and the lady who answered waa polite and empathic to my situation I was surprised they had appointments on the same day. The repair men came explained what they were going to do and gave a rough estimate which according to online was less than we found. They went got the part and said they would come the following day to fill the hole. They were professional and kept their word and filled the hole they even swept the side walk they are my new plumbers

When you have to call a plumber, you know you are already having a bad day. We had an issue with our shower not turning off and had to turn the water off to our whole house until it could be fixed. Our home warranty company couldn't get someone out for almost a week and that wasn't going to work... I found Lawson Family Plumbing on Yelp and called them because of their great rating. They were able to come out that same day and took great care of us. The technician was friendly and knowledgable. He went out to buy the part he needed and came back to fix it quickly. I woke up with no hot water, then called Lawson's Family Plumbing because they are a local, small business and talked to a REAL person who scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Kevin arrived at the scheduled time then checked the hot water tank and found that the heating elements were not working. He replaced the heating elements and voila... hot water again. I asked if the incoming water valve needed to be replaced because it had some corrosion around it but Kevin said that it is normal for Arizona with its hard water. He said it didn't need to be replaced. Kevin was very professional and honest. I would highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs.
Horrible service. Hired them to fix a few minor things at my rental property and they charged my wife $700. A few days later the toilets they supposedly fixed wouldn't work. We called and left 5 messages without a return call. Renters were appropriately going nuts ... called ASAP today and they were out in 30 minutes and fixed all the mistakes Lawson had made. I am disputing the charges now ... pathetic. Maybe I was just unlucky as other rating seemed very positive which led to my decision. From now on I only call google guaranteed providers.

Lawson Family Plumbing is an awesome company - and in particular, Jason.
We cannot say enough about Jason's skill and integrity, he is truly a master at his craft.
We had them come out to clear a drainage problem we had in both our bathrooms. Because our home is almost 60 years old, it has no clean-outs, and none were ever installed. Therefore, Jason had to run his auger down the vent from the rooftop.
With the help of a drain-camera, Jason found that many pieces of PVC pipe had been cut off (at some time before we bought the house), and carelessly/wrecklessly/maliciously dropped down the rooftop sewer vent. We had no idea that PVC was sitting at the bottom of our drain line. With Jason's masterful insight, wizardry and tenacity he made it possible to fish-out the offending PVC. One piece of PVC was around 8' long and another was 2' long. For the life of me I do not understand why 'anyone' would throw PVC pipe down their rooftop-sewer-vent, but some simpleton did.
Anyway, long story short....
We will unhesitatingly refer anyone who asks us, Hire Lawson Family Plumbing and have your plumbing problems resolved now!
The water suddenly opened like a cloud burst from the ceiling. Luckily, I had called Option One who showed up to help. We had a drain clog a few months ago with Matt coming to save the day, so I knew to call Option One again! Matt is so calm and helpful- explaining what's going on and needs to be fixed. Matt and Robert just turned the water back on, and we're good to go! Matt with Option One is the best!
Finding the right plumber in the sea of contractors that is Arizona is never easy. NO NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER.

Excellent! I had my water heater leave a lake in my garage. So I called my home warranty company and they dispatched out to Lawson Family Plumbing. I'm thrilled they did! They communicated throughout the process. When I had a question they answered it-no question too dumb! We decided to upgrade to a tankless water heater and it was installed the next day. James and his co worker were fantastic!! Punctual and so friendly--- highly recommend using Lawson Family Plumbing!
Tanner with Lawson Family Plumbing was totally awesome. He wore his mask at all times and booties when he first got here.!! After that, he just work his mask but his shoes were clean so I did not press it. He was very professional and accommodating. He even let me watch what he was doing to clean the drains out. Contacted the company (via Yelp) and got a response within minutes. Called and received an appointment (non emergency issue) within 48 hours. Our sump pump recently died on us which--as anyone with a sump pump can tell you--is not a fun or pleasant problem to have. We called Lawson at 9am. They had a guy at our house within 90 minutes. By mid-afternoon, the old pump was hauled off and the new one was chugging along like a champion. This is the fifth or sixth time that Lawson came through for us with flying colors.
The plumber who helped us today--Robbie--was one of the best we've ever had. Professional, knowledgeable, and very, very good at keeping us in the loop. We never had to wonder what he was doing or why because he explained everything in layman's terms, and was crystal-clear about all our available options. Even better, he made a simple adjustment to the sump pump well that removed the ever-present stink of sewage from the pump room, which was an unexpected bonus. We couldn't be happier with his service.
Finally, Robby was great about wearing a mask and keeping socially distant while in our house, a very smart precaution for him as well as the rest of us. Bottom line: Lawson has nothing but the very best pros working for them. They'll be the first company we call the next time something goes wrong with our plumbing.

I am very impressed with Lawson Family Plumbing. We discovered a leak in our dining room ceiling and wall, below our master bathroom. Kenneth came right out and found the problem and fixed it quickly. He was polite, professional, and showed up on time. The leak was not easy to locate due to the location within the wall and ceiling, below and behind our upstairs bathroom sink. Kenneth even went up into the second floor attic to inspect the vent pipe and ensure the leak was not in the roof. He spent over an hour finding the problem and did not charge us anything for his time. He communicated clearly what the problem was, gave us a very fair estimate and fixed the leak on the spot. It appeared to a challenging repair due to the limited work space and multiple structural obstacles he had to work around. Despite that, Kenneth solved the problem quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Lawson to anyone needing plumbing work.

Thought I had an issue with the water heater, so I decided to give Lawson a call. Ken came over to the house to check the system and found it to be functioning ok and even educated me in some of the things in regards to water heaters and the associated plumbing. I never realized that our system had a tempering valve, which is apparently a requirement since about 2016 for new installations. It requires the temp setting on the water heater to be dialed up more than what I was used to, and it then regulates the temperature output into the hot water line. It basically allows the 50 gallon tank to act like an 80 gallon tank...learned something new! After throughly checking out our perceived issue, I was all prepared to pay up for his time, but I was told that there was to be no charge for this visit. Wow!! That's good value and then some! If you're looking for friendly, courteous service from the office to the techs, please give them a call. They just added another loyal customer to their list.
Had a kitchen sink drain that was stopped. Called on a Sunday was able to get service the same day with no extra charge. Friendly helpful staff thank you.
Called Lawson and set up an appointment to have my outside fountain snaked. After arranging my Saturday around the appointment, they showed up and said we dont do fountains. I asked why would you schedule appt then? No good answer. They have done it in the past as ive used them for years. Guy also told me they've never serviced my house ( they have for over 15 years). Very poor customer service and communication
Lawson's saved the day! A lesser plumber botched a job. Lawson's repair was for a fraction of the price and they did the job quickly by arriving onsite. Will do business with Lawson's again.
I contacted Lawson Family Plumbing about replacing all of my under-sink shut off valves. They were kind and courteous when I called to schedule and they showed up on time and even offered to wear booties when they came to the door. I really appreciated that. I thought the price was fair. Highly recommend.

I had a leak from an upstairs shower that seeped down to the first floor ceiling and possibly down the first floor wall. I called Lawson Family Plumbing based on what seemed like legit Yelp reviews.
They answered the phone right away. No message with, We'll call you back when we have time. Then they scheduled someone for later that day!
Daryl came and what a nice man. Down to business but just really genuine and no b.s. Luckily he was there before the restoration company the insurance company sent out left. Daryl took about 5 ten minutes to inspect the shower, took a hard look. He then acquiesced to my request he huddle with the restoration guys and he said, I don't think this is a plumbing problem. I think the water is getting through the cracks of the tile joints. That was exactly the opinion of the other company.
I was so grateful he didn't just try to make money and ask for permission to start removing tiles, etc. not only was he honest, but he and Lawson Family Plumbing did not even charge a fee!!!! EVERYBODY charges an outlandish service fee even if they don't do anything!
Do yourself a favor. USE THESE GUYS!

Lawson Plumbing were great to deal with. Professional, on time, polite. They were easy to get a hold of on the phone and always provided a response to either questions or sending someone to work on my house. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
We came home from vacation to a stream of water running through our garage. We called Lawson at 9:50 p.m. and the said they would have someone out Saturday morning between 8 and 11. They called at 7:50 a.m. to say they were on the way and by 8:15 Kevin was at work. He was prompt, friendly and professional and took care of replacing the hot water heater quickly. We were back in business with hot water in less than two hours. He even had a recommendation for help with the water damage repair. Great service. I would definitly use them again.
I called Lawson Family Plumbing, searching for someone to replace my reverse osmosis filters.
I was promised a time slot, and Kenneth arrived within the window of the appointment.
The company I used previously used (I won't name) would send a technician, and he would constantly huff and grumble in an irritating way.
Kenneth arrived with a positive attitude, not one audible grunt or complaining through his teeth.
Move out of the way previous company. I'll be using Lawson Family Plumbing from now on.

I had an issue with my water softener, an older unit that is no longer made. A few service providers I contacted told me straight away to just replace the water softener. Kenneth, from Lawson Family Plumbing, provided a no-cost inspection of the unit and he said that I can get the unit repaired if I was able to get some replacement parts.
I was able to get parts from another service provider and Kenneth repaired the water softener on the next day.
I totally recommend Lawson for their integrity, no sales pressure, and professionalism.

I was very impressed with John, he was not only very professional he was able to fix the problem that I had caused by trying to fix the problem myself in a short period of time.

I have been using Lawson for many years, even been recommended and used by family and friends. Technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. I also like they do not use pressure or fear tactics to sell - They show and explain best option, leave the final decision to you. I was having a tree removed from my front yard on a Saturday morning and the tree crew mistakenly broke the MAIN water line with their tractor. We were able to shut the water off at the meter. Hence, my family no longer had running water.
Lawson Family Plumbing was at my house within 20 minutes of my call and provided immediate temporary repairs to get my water back on for my children.
Lawson knew they had me over a barrel yet provided the repairs at a very reasonable price.
Update: The plumber from Lawson (Logan) is a true professional. The temporary repairs Logan provided was to hook-up a heavy duty line into my house to cover me for the weekend. Logan just dropped by today (Thursday) to check on the repairs. I had money-in-hand to pay for the temporary weekend repairs he provided. Logan refused to take my money. His primary concern was that my water was up and running with a new hard line. CLASS ACT!!
Look no further. These guys are honest, sincere, and trustworthy. They have my business for life!
I wound up changing out my sink, faucet and garbage disposal. I got everything installed myself but wanted a plumber to come out and change out my old corrugated supply lines to quarter turn ball valves. Also since I was going from a two drain to a single drain sink with an off center drain, the waste line needed to be redone.
The repairman arrived right on time, was friendly, and was done pretty quickly. Everything worked great right away and the price was less than I was bracing myself for which is always a good thing. I would definitely recommend this company.
Update 9-2018 I needed my washer water lines fixed up. The shut off valves that were installed when the house was built back in '96 were a joke. I called on a Thursday night, and I was their first appointment at 8 on Friday. Sean came out and had to cut into the dry wall to get access to the pipes. He did the work quickly and he did a really good job patching up the hole. I was worried what it would look like, but it's perfectly fine. He installed modern valves that you can actually turn with your hand. The old valves had a metal flag with two legs connecting them to the valve. I had to use pliers to open and close the valves and they were never perfectly shut off. Will definitely call them future work. They are great!

Kevin came outdoor how to diagnose a possible leak underneath our concrete slab. Investigate the situation, and determined there was no leak. He did not charge to diagnose the problem, and he was very nice. They seem like a great company, and I will definitely use them again in the future.
If you're looking for a locally owned family run business, choose Lawson. They worked with my schedule to come out the same day. It took a few days to fix the leaking shower however Darrel fixed it and it is no longer leaking buckets. He was also able to remove the corroded shower head so that I could thoroughly clean the build up off before we used the shower again. I will mention that since I had never actually paid for plumbing before, that I was shocked at how expensive a project could run. After speaking with Jeff, he explained that compared to National companies that charge upwards of $300-$400 per hour, that they are competitively priced at roughly $125 per hour. It was important for me to find a local company that is licensed and bonded and fully understand that they charge more, because in most cases they know more. Jeff also explained that their techs specialize and are trained on plumbing going back 100+ years so that they can easily identify and tackle the issue. His office gals were great - they called to follow up after the service and actually listened to feedback. Overall, besides not being able to use my shower for two days, it was a nice experience.

Excellent! I had my water heater leave a lake in my garage. So I called my home warranty company and they dispatched out to Lawson Family Plumbing. I'm thrilled they did! They communicated throughout the process. When I had a question they answered it-no question too dumb! We decided to upgrade to a tankless water heater and it was installed the next day. James and his co worker were fantastic!! Punctual and so friendly--- highly recommend using Lawson Family Plumbing!
Thank you to Joe, I'm able to use my disposal after two weeks. Previously called another plumbing company that canceled, then rescheduled for over five days later then never showed. He was courteous and friendly!

5-Star and then some*.
Called Lawson Family Plumbing for quote on tankless hot water after seeing so many 5-star reviews on Yelp. Had already gotten phone estimate from another 5-star Family plumbing firm in same area. Lawson's estimate was ~20% lower because their guy VOLUNTEERED to suggest that they could use an adapter if our gasline was less than 3/4 diameter instead of re-piping system with larger pipe, plus they sent a guy out for the estimate (other outfit declined to do that due to COVID). I called other Family to see if they could reduce price by using an adapter and they said no. Lawson's plumber (Jason) did great job last Friday w/the install: careful, efficient, complete, and left garage cleaner than when he arrived.
*But wait...for the and then some: Saturday morn the shower temp was not staying as warm as w/the old tank we had just removed, and I was having buyer's remorse. Called Jason and he arrived at the house 15 minutes(!) later (did I mention this was a Saturday?). Checked it out, explained intricate software regulation involved w/tankless system, suggested a slightly lower temp setting, and left saying see how it goes and let us know; we want you to be satisfied. Have now tested it under many circumstances and it's working just fine. Great experience. BTW, the original gasline diam turned out to be 1, i.e., even more than the minimum needed for tankless.

Lawson just left and they did a great job removing an old hose bib and replacing it. They also gave me some free advice on a master bath toilet. Can't beat free. They were very fast and cost efficient.

This is the only plumbing company I use. Honest straight forward approach. Today Nick came out today and simply tightened the leaking faucet. Recommend replacement in the future with an explanation to help me understand the value.

Spent Saturday afternoon trying to fix a rusted cap that the builder had installed on the outside house spicket. Couldn't quite get it soldered correctly and had a leak. With the main water line to the house turned off, we needed someone out on a Sunday. Called a couple other plumbers who couldn't come until Monday. Got a hold of Melinda at Lawson and she had technician David out within 30 mins. David showed up and not only fixed the solder issue in 10 mins, but also talked me through why we had an issue. To make it even better, he only charged me their standard trip charge even though it was a Sunday. My whole experience was fantastic and I would recommend Lawson to anyone who needs a professional plumber. Thanks Lawson!
Horrible service. Hired them to fix a few minor things at my rental property and they charged my wife $700. A few days later the toilets they supposedly fixed wouldn't work. We called and left 5 messages without a return call. Renters were appropriately going nuts ... called ASAP today and they were out in 30 minutes and fixed all the mistakes Lawson had made. I am disputing the charges now ... pathetic. Maybe I was just unlucky as other rating seemed very positive which led to my decision. From now on I only call google guaranteed providers.
Great service from Tanner. He called ahead to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time, wearing a mask. Our toilet was lose and bolts would not tighten it. After removing the toilet Tanner found the toilet had been leaking and that caused the metal ring to rust and disintegrate. He at first though we would have to replace the flange, which was expensive. However he was able to get the ring off and chip away the concrete that was causing the ring to not sit correctly, which is what caused the leak in the first place. (It had been like that since house of we built!) Saved us several hundred dollars by not needing to replace the flange. Really appreciate the effort and honest work. He could have just as easily replaced the flange to charge the higher amount. Installed new toilet correctly. Did a great job cleaning up before he left.

Too expensive. Their price was considerably more than a competitor. They would not quote anything over the phone but insisted on seeing the problem. All I needed was a wax ring. An easy fix, but they tried to sell me a new toilet. I did not use their service because the price quoted was twice the quote I received elsewhere.

Mr. Lawson himself reached out to me and I am completely confident that the issue will be resolved to a solution that is fair to both the company as well as myself. I had a leaky water pipe in my laundry room area. The plumber was prompt, and competent. He thoroughly cleaned up the area at the conclusion of the job. I had a question about the charges and the manager responded quickly and to my satisfaction. Their exemplary YELP ratings are no fluke. Fair and honest.
Robbie from Lawson Family Plumbing helped us to repair a broken main water line. The work was challenging and required to install a whole new line around a tree. The work was done well, communication was good as well as punctuality. He made a great effort to avoid damaging some pavers and leave things as they were before. I recommend the service and will call them again any time. Robbie was very nice and helpful during the whole process.

Jason from the company called me and we spoke extensively about this and he apologized for Darryl's behavior. His phone call meant a lot to me for him to take the time with me to address this. I will definitely give Lawson Family Plumbing another try if we have anymore plumbing needs. Thank You Jason, your phone call to me went a long way.
We had a problem with our Water Heater shutting off and having to re-light the pilot light since the igniter was not working. Called our Home Warranty and they had Lawson Family Plumbing come out and Darryl was the technician. You can tell from the beginning he had a twinge of an attitude. He never introduced himself to us at all and proceeded to look at our water heater. He never touched the water heater at all, he never said anything to us about what might be the problem, he just told us he would be right back and was at his truck for about a half hour. He comes back and proceeds to tell us that our claim was denied with our Home warranty because we tampered with our water heater. Well we had to remove a cover in order to light the pilot light since the igniter was not working in order to get hot water and I guess that's what he considered tampered with because we did not put the cover back since we did not want to have to constantly take off that cover to light it. I called our Home Warranty immediately and they proceed to tell me that did not deny it, the technician just said he could not find nothing wrong with the water heater and that we just needed to clean the dust around the water heater and it should be good to go. Well needless to say I was a little confused on why Darryl had a different reason to us then what he actually told the Home Warranty place. He never said anything about the dust. He could of went about this differently and explain things so much better then he did. Needless to say after he left the water heater did not work and we could not even light the pilot light. We then called the Home Warranty and had another plumbing company come out the next day, mind you without any hot water that night because Darryl could not find anything wrong. 4 Fathers Plumbing comes out and they find that our Thermocoupler needed replacing. They replaced it and our water heater was working once again. I am sorry but the way Darryl conducted himself was not professional at all and we would never use this company. I don't know if he had a bad day but I am sorry that is no excuse

We had a complex job involving a leak in the yard that ended up requiring rerouting our water from the main to the house due to tree roots ruining the original line. Lawson came out promptly, worked with us to coordinate with the city to open the main valve, gave us a temporary line so we could have water overnight, and came back right away to finish the job. They did fantastic work and you'd never know they had to dig up the front yard to do it! They have our highest recommendation.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Lawson Family Plumbing. They are professional, have excellent customer service, and are quickly responsive. A while back we had them install two new toilets. We had issues with one of the toilets and they came back several times at no charge to help problem-solve the issues. A couple of days ago we noticed what we thought was a leak in our master bath shower and Lawson Family Plumbing came to diagnose the issue. They diagnosed the issue quickly and provided suggestions to us for how to fix what is going on, even though the solution does not include needing plumbing services. We highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing!

I contacted Lawson Family Plumbing regarding replacing a broken shutoff valve on my outside water inlet pipe. I also had a leak that I needed to track down. Robert came out and gave me an estimate on replacing the valve. He also explained the process of tracking down the leak after the valve was replaced. Robert came out on time to complete the repair. Due to his explination of tracking down the leak, I was able to find it. The repair price was very fair and Robert did a great job! Based upon my interaction with Robert and Lawson Family Plumbing, they will be my go to in the event I need plumbing services again!

Prompt response, scheduled to arrive at 8:00 the following morning and techs arrived on time. We were having problems with our water heater, only to learn there had been a fire within the safety valves. The techs showed us the damage and quoted us to remove the old unit and replace with a higher efficiency model. Within hours of arrival the old unit was removed and hauled away and the new unit was installed along with a new line to replace the previous flex line that did not meet code requirements. I am so thankful that Lawson Plumbing's Daylon Allred came out and repaired the leaking bathroom faucets. These are high end faucets that we had installed about 6 years ago. Daylon ordered the correct ceramic cartridges for them...., was able to open them up, even with all mineral buildup they had internally. He successfully fixed the faucets in both bathrooms, and then installed an outside pressure regulator to get our water pressure correct. Thank you again, Daylon the faucets are good as new again.

Michael showed up professional and ready, right at the agreed upon time. It felt like I was inviting an old family friend over to help me with my plumbing. He quickly solved my problem, assured me that if I had anymore problems I could give them a call (so they could further investigate), checked my water pressure and was gone. Waking up to a puddle in your yard and side walk is never a good feeling. Called on a Sunday to get some information and the lady who answered waa polite and empathic to my situation I was surprised they had appointments on the same day. The repair men came explained what they were going to do and gave a rough estimate which according to online was less than we found. They went got the part and said they would come the following day to fill the hole. They were professional and kept their word and filled the hole they even swept the side walk they are my new plumbers
Mike was very knowledgeable and polite. He installed our RO system and fixed a leaky faucet in our master bath. The installation went great. He gave us great recommendations on how to move forward with a new water softener. I will use him again.
I had a leaky water pipe in my laundry room area. The plumber was prompt, and competent. He thoroughly cleaned up the area at the conclusion of the job. I had a question about the charges and the manager responded quickly and to my satisfaction. Their exemplary YELP ratings are no fluke. Fair and honest.
This company is great. I called them on a Monday at 8 am with a small leak in my RO filter and they had someone out to me by 9:30. They quickly found the issue and had it fixed in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. I'd highly recommend them if you need quick and reliable service.
Can't express the appreciation we have for Kevin and Darryl who came out and helped us with our leak. We had a foundation leak and the contractor for the warranty company wanted to jack hammer our foundation just to find the leak. Kevin and Darryl were able to find it and fix it without damaging our foundation and the work completed was several hundred less than their initial quote.. They prepared us for the worse and gave us the best, all within 2 days over the Christmas holidays saving us a thousands of dollars and a lot of headache. Contractor for the warranty company had us wait almost a week for someone to come out just to reschedule to try to find the leak for 3 days later. We would still be without hot water today if it weren't for Kevin and Darryl. Can't thank them enough for all their help and patience with us and all of our questions.

Today is the day I sever ties. I was told by dispatch that work would be done today we can do that, when in fact a technician came to quote me. I had cleared my schedule and allotted for the cost. The technician, came in, took pictures, and went to his truck for 40 minutes before I received a call from dispatch that the work was getting scheduled for the following day with a technician and a manager. The managers explained on the phone that there is always a quote first and the work done later, but another company came on short notice after I called them, gave me a lower estimate, and warrantees their work for 2 years vs 30 days that Lawson does, and finished in less time than Lawson quoted for more work (angle stop needed replacing, new company saw that need and took care of it). Bye, Lawson.
I have had Lawson Family plumbing out to my home on a couple occasions for various issues. This truly is a family oriented business. Dillion as the other techs were on-time, excellent communicators and fixed the issues very quickly.

Too expensive. Their price was considerably more than a competitor. They would not quote anything over the phone but insisted on seeing the problem. All I needed was a wax ring. An easy fix, but they tried to sell me a new toilet. I did not use their service because the price quoted was twice the quote I received elsewhere.
Best plumbing service I have found. They are very quick to respond. They came out same day to look at my issue, and within two days it was fixed. Joe was extremely helpful, polite and fast. He walked me through the repairs and replaced everything in under two hours. Joe-thank you!

We are remodeling our guest bath.
I had a prompt estimate by a knowledgeable person. The estimate included tub install, rough-in for new faucets, moving a toilet and demo. I decided to handle the demo myself (sigh...triumph of hope over experience, but I got it done).
There was no issue with removing it from the quote. The office staff was great in setting up the work schedule. The team came as planned, did the job and left our home neat and tidy...in-spite of having to jack-hammer the floor etc. The plumbing work seems great.
I'll use them again. They may not be the cheapest, but they come on time, do the work as estimated and leave the job clean and neat. Those are all important qualities to me.

Priced out water softeners and got 3 bids. Lawson was most price competitive and used copper pipes not plastic to attach the water softener to my existing pipes. Nick answered all my questions - actually had plumbing experience from having worked on new home construction. In terms of price and service, Lawson is the best!

Although oddly, my first review seems to have disappeared from the list, I am upgrading to 4 stars.
The owner, Jeff, immediately contacted me after my initial review to see if he could investigate what happened and make it right. There seems to have been some miscommunication, possibly on both sides, since the technician stated he had called me back twice but I never received any message on the voicemail - or from a family member - so I gave benefit of the doubt. He offered to still do the work that they bid.
Their bid was the lowest, and the plumber was very nice and pleasant when he came out to inspect the job. We will be considering them again for future work when needed. I really appreciated the effort Jeff took to try to correct the situation and keep a customer.
I just hate hiring professionals to do a job because I just feel like I'm going to get a high bill for POOR labor ... HOWEVER, the Lawson Family Plumbing was a welcome change for me ... the plumber, Paul, listened to me and explained in detail what would need done and what didn't need to be done ... then he told me exactly what the cost would be to the penny ... Paul completed each task and I inspected his work and it was done perfectly ... Everything was done completely and thoroughly with no exceptions ... the price was more than fair (Thank You) and the work Paul did was Grade A First Class all the way, Paul was great, Thank you Sir ... To be honest the Lawson Family Plumbing is my go to plumbing company now ... their pricing is extremely fair and the quality of work is above reproach ... I had a bad water heater and also a softener that needed replacing. They came within a day of my call both times, came by to give me a quote and had the replacement part installed within 2 hours. Very responsive, very professional very knowledgeable. Nick did a great job explaining everything he was doing or going to do, and how much it would be before he started. Very clean work as well. Highly recommend them.

I woke up with no hot water, then called Lawson's Family Plumbing because they are a local, small business and talked to a REAL person who scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Kevin arrived at the scheduled time then checked the hot water tank and found that the heating elements were not working. He replaced the heating elements and voila... hot water again. I asked if the incoming water valve needed to be replaced because it had some corrosion around it but Kevin said that it is normal for Arizona with its hard water. He said it didn't need to be replaced. Kevin was very professional and honest. I would highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs.

About five days ago, I looked down and realized that a small amount of water kept pooling underneath the edge of my vanity. I thought that I had just washed my face too much, and that the water on the floor had simply dripped off of my arm and elbow when I stood up to dry my face off. Turns out that our floating vanity had a leak at the very back of it, and the water was running underneath the drawers to the front and then down onto the ground. My husband called Lawson Plumbing, as they had previously helped us with a situation involving our water heater. We were very impressed with their services then. And we were just as impressed with their services this time.
On this appointment, Cody showed up toward the beginning of the window of time for our appointment. After thoroughly checking out the situation on the sink, he informed me that he could repair it and not replace it, which would save us money. He gave us an estimate on the repair and promptly started working. He realized about halfway through that he did not have the part to fix the situation, so he left to grab one and returned quickly. When he was finished repairing the problem, he advised me he had been wrong about the estimate he gave to me. Without me even asking, he adjusted the price down so that it was closer to the original estimate. He was polite, thorough, and honest. Cody did a great job.

I have been using Lawson for many years, even been recommended and used by family and friends. Technicians are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile. I also like they do not use pressure or fear tactics to sell - They show and explain best option, leave the final decision to you. Simply OUTSTANDING!! Nick just left. My family expected the worst case scenario when we lost water pressure. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared every step. Eventually, he diagnosed what was a very, for him, simple fix. He checked the quality of my water and found lots of calcium build up. He made sure there was none before leaving. Our water softener system quit working. I called Lawson plumbing as they installed the system and we had used them in the past with no issues. This time they said the sensor had gone bad. The person said if the part was in stock with their part supplier it would be a couple of days. If it had to be ordered it would probably be a couple of weeks. In either case someone would contact me to let me know the status. I called twice over the next two weeks and they didn't know what was going on but would check and contact me. I also filled out the online contact form. No one ever called me. I called today to cancel the job and I will find someone else to fix it.
Received a phone call from the company and they came right out and fixed the problem. Not sure where the communication failure took place but all is fixed now.

Great company! Very honest, ethical and responsive. Wouldn't use any other plumbers! These plumbers are wonderful and take pride in their work. Always on time and won't steer you wrong. Trust their word on all things plumbing!
My overall interaction with this company was pretty good. My hot water heater was leaking and I called Lawson Family Plumbing out to assess the issue. They sent Tony out who assessed my issue and said that I needed a new hot water heater. I got a price from him.
He also showed me that there was water damage underneath my hot water heater and that probably needed to be taken care of. I believe he drained the tank, shut off the hot water heater, and I thought him do everything, but there was one thing I did not see him do, which was flip a metal thing at the top of my hot water heater.
He also turned off the water to my hot water heater, which I knew he did, but I didn't know doing so would not allow me to get any water whatsoever to my bathrooms. I couldn't have that. So I turned back on the water to the hot water heater and him flipping the metal switch at the top caused the water to come out of the side of the house.
We ended up in a short amount of time getting a lot of water to the side of our house so I turned off the water to the hot water heater again and called Lawson Plumbing, actually called and texted Tony. The office called me back to schedule for Tony to come back out.
I think it was maybe a couple hours later, Tony walked me on the phone to flip that metal thing back up, turn back on the water so I could have water to my bathrooms. He never came back out. He told me that the water would no longer drain out to my side yard, but it my hot water heater would still be leaking.
It's not a huge deal that he didn't tell me that he flipped that metal thing, but not having any water to my bathrooms wasn't good, so that's why a 4 star instead of 5 star.
Unfortunately, I learned that my home warranty used another plumbing company instead, so I did not use Lawson Family Plumbing. But if I had to, I would probably go with these guys.
There was not cost to give me a quote on the work that needed to be done.

We have yet to use this business, but we're SO grateful when one of your plumbers stopped to jump our car this am. I'm sure they have busy schedules and he was so helpful in our time of need (almost in the middle Of the intersection). I wish I would have gotten his name, but we will be using your business with our next plumbing needs thanks to this employee!
I recently started what I thought was a quick water hose valve replacement, I quickly started having issues. I called a few 24 hr plumbers and all told me not having running water isn't an emergency and wouldn't come out. Matt answered when I called and was at my house in 20 minutes. Jake Morris is an outstanding plumber and very knowledgeable. He doesn't try to convince you to pay for unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend asking for him personally.
I contacted Lawson Family Plumbing about replacing all of my under-sink shut off valves. They were kind and courteous when I called to schedule and they showed up on time and even offered to wear booties when they came to the door. I really appreciated that. I thought the price was fair. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for a locally owned family run business, choose Lawson. They worked with my schedule to come out the same day. It took a few days to fix the leaking shower however Darrel fixed it and it is no longer leaking buckets. He was also able to remove the corroded shower head so that I could thoroughly clean the build up off before we used the shower again. I will mention that since I had never actually paid for plumbing before, that I was shocked at how expensive a project could run. After speaking with Jeff, he explained that compared to National companies that charge upwards of $300-$400 per hour, that they are competitively priced at roughly $125 per hour. It was important for me to find a local company that is licensed and bonded and fully understand that they charge more, because in most cases they know more. Jeff also explained that their techs specialize and are trained on plumbing going back 100+ years so that they can easily identify and tackle the issue. His office gals were great - they called to follow up after the service and actually listened to feedback. Overall, besides not being able to use my shower for two days, it was a nice experience.

Our sump pump recently died on us which--as anyone with a sump pump can tell you--is not a fun or pleasant problem to have. We called Lawson at 9am. They had a guy at our house within 90 minutes. By mid-afternoon, the old pump was hauled off and the new one was chugging along like a champion. This is the fifth or sixth time that Lawson came through for us with flying colors.
The plumber who helped us today--Robbie--was one of the best we've ever had. Professional, knowledgeable, and very, very good at keeping us in the loop. We never had to wonder what he was doing or why because he explained everything in layman's terms, and was crystal-clear about all our available options. Even better, he made a simple adjustment to the sump pump well that removed the ever-present stink of sewage from the pump room, which was an unexpected bonus. We couldn't be happier with his service.
Finally, Robby was great about wearing a mask and keeping socially distant while in our house, a very smart precaution for him as well as the rest of us. Bottom line: Lawson has nothing but the very best pros working for them. They'll be the first company we call the next time something goes wrong with our plumbing.

After that, he just work his mask but his shoes were clean so I did not press it. He was very professional and accommodating. He even let me watch what he was doing to clean the drains out. We have used them several times in the last few months and each time a different tech came out. There were all professional, prompt, efficient and nice. The receptionists are professional and nice too! The quote let us know how much the job was going to cost before they started.
Tony, the last tech that came out told me everything he was doing step-by-step.. He did a neat job and was methodical about his work and I can say that about the other techs as well. Unfortunately I don't remember their names.
MY ONLY CONCERN is Lawson Family Plumbing will grow too big and they'll lose that personal touch of customer service. If that happens, I will have to find another plumbing company.

I had a leak from an upstairs shower that seeped down to the first floor ceiling and possibly down the first floor wall. I called Lawson Family Plumbing based on what seemed like legit Yelp reviews.
They answered the phone right away. No message with, We'll call you back when we have time. Then they scheduled someone for later that day!
Daryl came and what a nice man. Down to business but just really genuine and no b.s. Luckily he was there before the restoration company the insurance company sent out left. Daryl took about 5 ten minutes to inspect the shower, took a hard look. He then acquiesced to my request he huddle with the restoration guys and he said, I don't think this is a plumbing problem. I think the water is getting through the cracks of the tile joints. That was exactly the opinion of the other company.
I was so grateful he didn't just try to make money and ask for permission to start removing tiles, etc. not only was he honest, but he and Lawson Family Plumbing did not even charge a fee!!!! EVERYBODY charges an outlandish service fee even if they don't do anything!
Do yourself a favor. USE THESE GUYS!

This was my second interaction with Lawson. The first time was a blind call on my behalf and was in ever lucky. The insides of my toilet needed to be replaced and they did a great job. They also advised me that something is was doing wrong in using chlorine tablets contributed to my problem. I also had them look at a sink that needed attention too. Well they did an excellent job on that too. There was also a calcium deposit in the sink that I had no idea how to get rid of and again the technician told me how to get rid of it. I tried his suggestion and to my delight it totally took care of the problem. Lawson is the best it is the only plumbing organization i will use. The second time I called was I saw a post on FB regarding having your hot water heater flushed and they had a coupon on Angies list. The service is normally $99 but with the coupon $59 so called they came out did the work took all of 30 minutes. One of the most refreshing part of this call was they found no problem and did not try to sell me anything . Sorry for being so long but didn't know I could post here so just giving Lawson their proper due.

I recently started what I thought was a quick water hose valve replacement, I quickly started having issues. I called a few 24 hr plumbers and all told me not having running water isn't an emergency and wouldn't come out. Matt answered when I called and was at my house in 20 minutes. He even gave me a few pointers when doing a repair like this in the future. Thanks Matt

I requested service for a leak in front of my house, that connects the water main to sprinkler irrigation system. From initial call, technician showed up an hour early. He diagnosed that current part (leaking installation) was not installed and proper per city code spec, and advised a backflow preventer be installed. The work was conducted in a professional and timely manner.
This was my second interaction with Lawson. The first time was a blind call on my behalf and was in ever lucky. The insides of my toilet needed to be replaced and they did a great job. They also advised me that something is was doing wrong in using chlorine tablets contributed to my problem. I also had them look at a sink that needed attention too. Well they did an excellent job on that too. There was also a calcium deposit in the sink that I had no idea how to get rid of and again the technician told me how to get rid of it. I tried his suggestion and to my delight it totally took care of the problem. Lawson is the best it is the only plumbing organization i will use. The second time I called was I saw a post on FB regarding having your hot water heater flushed and they had a coupon on Angies list. The service is normally $99 but with the coupon $59 so called they came out did the work took all of 30 minutes. One of the most refreshing part of this call was they found no problem and did not try to sell me anything . Sorry for being so long but didn't know I could post here so just giving Lawson their proper due.

Great company! Very honest, ethical and responsive. Wouldn't use any other plumbers! These plumbers are wonderful and take pride in their work. Always on time and won't steer you wrong. Trust their word on all things plumbing!

I had my toilet removed for new flooring, so I just needed it reset. Harley showed up, apologized for being late, and proceeded to give me a price. To set my toilet was $506, and he used parts I had, that were left by the flooring company.
So, this highly over inflated price was for his time. Just his labor to remove and replace 3 parts, clean up under the base, hook up the water, set the toilet and caulk. I had 2 other quotes for $159 and $185, but went with Lawson. I'm not sure why, except he was here and I wanted it done or maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment. Had I been strong enough to pick up and carry my toilet, I could have set it myself. Extremely overrated and over inflated. I gave 2 stars because my toilet is in.
Jake was a great plumber! He came out to house very quick and gave us our estimate. He was very thorough and knew right away what was wrong. They only the hire the best and the price is very fair! We will definitely use them for all our plumbing needs.
My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Lawson Family Plumbing. They are professional, have excellent customer service, and are quickly responsive. A while back we had them install two new toilets. We had issues with one of the toilets and they came back several times at no charge to help problem-solve the issues. A couple of days ago we noticed what we thought was a leak in our master bath shower and Lawson Family Plumbing came to diagnose the issue. They diagnosed the issue quickly and provided suggestions to us for how to fix what is going on, even though the solution does not include needing plumbing services. We highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this company is. They just do it right, they don't charge you if they don't have to. They take their time. Overall incredible experience and I would highly recommend.
This is the only plumbing company I use. Honest straight forward approach. Today Nick came out today and simply tightened the leaking faucet. Recommend replacement in the future with an explanation to help me understand the value.
Appreciate the honesty and integrity every time they come for service.

I call 6 AM told them I had a problem I had somebody out here by 8:30 AM for an out for better service Craig was very good very formal would definitely recommend Lawson Family. . Very happy with Lawson. Plumbing Craig show me what the problem is and what needed to be done to fix it I was very happy with the work he did not even tell that my property was touched I like to thank Craig and Larson plumbing doing a good job thx
I called Lawson to fix my outside faucet. It was for the house and sprinkler and one other valve. He did a great job, even when the temperature over 100 in summer and having the sun beat on him. He was a super nice young man. Yes, I would call them again. a very far price even my son was very empress with the work and will call them if he has problem.

Thought I had an issue with the water heater, so I decided to give Lawson a call. Ken came over to the house to check the system and found it to be functioning ok and even educated me in some of the things in regards to water heaters and the associated plumbing. I never realized that our system had a tempering valve, which is apparently a requirement since about 2016 for new installations. It requires the temp setting on the water heater to be dialed up more than what I was used to, and it then regulates the temperature output into the hot water line. It basically allows the 50 gallon tank to act like an 80 gallon tank...learned something new! After throughly checking out our perceived issue, I was all prepared to pay up for his time, but I was told that there was to be no charge for this visit. Wow!! That's good value and then some! If you're looking for friendly, courteous service from the office to the techs, please give them a call. They just added another loyal customer to their list.
I called Lawson Family Plumbing, searching for someone to replace my reverse osmosis filters.
I was promised a time slot, and Kenneth arrived within the window of the appointment.
The company I used previously used (I won't name) would send a technician, and he would constantly huff and grumble in an irritating way.
Kenneth arrived with a positive attitude, not one audible grunt or complaining through his teeth.
Move out of the way previous company. I'll be using Lawson Family Plumbing from now on.
Rip off - $483 to replace a single bath shower cartridge. Make sure to get full estimate before calling these guys.

Gotta tell you, I have found success in using YELP reviews to help with how/who to call on home services. I have a basement (yes in AZ) and my sewage ejection pump alarm went off...I shut down all bathroom use in basement and called Lawson.
They said, we can send someone out, with NO SERVICE CALL FEE! Not only did they send someone out the next morning, Joe, their supervisor came out, as he is very versed with sewage ejectors.
Joe was patient and focused with his questions. In the end, Joe simply said, it's running fine. Alarm may had gone off due to the float getting stuck...
Most importantly, Joe provided advice that I wouldn't of thought about (home warranty, Joe, home warranty, do you remember?!!)
Any ways of you need a plumber, call Lawson Family Plumbing. Solid referral from me! Thanks Joe and Lawson family for giving me plumber confidence.

UPDATE----- YELP works for those owners/manager/executives that care. I posted a comment/review with a one star rating due to the issues stated below. The owner was aware that there were issues but thought they had been taken care of. Unfortunately they hadn't and there wasn't much follow up until I posted the review. I immediately received a call from Jeff Lawson with an apology and willingness to make it right. They had a technician back out to fix what issues hadn't already been taken care of by our team. Jeff is very concerned with the quality of work and how his technicians represent the company. I am pleased to say they continue to work hard to repair the issues and my confidence in their company. Because of this I am updating my rating to 4 stars. As with any company it is difficult to control and oversee all employees and their work. I am chalking this up to a one time bad experience which will hopefully never happen again. Jeff---thank you for the continual follow up, please continue to care about your company, its quality of work and the way your technician represent the company.
Had them come out to quote work to reroute some water lines, install a hot water heater and tie into an RO system. I spoke with the plumber and approved the price and project. Project got completed but not without several issues. They forgot to mention that they would have to cut into the drywall to add support for the water heater but would not repair the drywall. Found this out after I had accepted the quote the same day they were supposed to do the work. Water lines from the RO system to the water heater were run in poly, the were mounted but crooked and not running straight. A few extra pipe clamps would have gone a long way. They also pulled out ceiling tiles to mount the water heater. Mounted it so high that the ceiling tile wouldn't fit back in and never put the other ones back. They couldn't even take the time to cut one ceiling tile so that the ceiling grid was closed up. The final straw was when they left a pile of insulation in the hallway where they had been working on rerouting the water lines. A message was sent to the plumber about the issues. I did receive a voicemail from the owner on over the weekend asking about the issues, but by that time we'd already hired a handyman to come in and clean up their mess. It is amazing what people will try to get away with when they think nobody is looking. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive when it comes to cost but the quality of work definitely leaves something to be desired. Other than one voicemail, no additional follow up was ever done. Pretty disappointing!
Reliable expertise and they don't price gouge. Professional and courteous. Love them.

A representative came to my house to give me a free quote for replacing a 1970s shower insert with a bathtub. The guy was very professional and efficient. He also asked about a water softener, which we don't currently have, but it was plumbed for one a long time ago (and we removed a very old non-functional water softener when I bought the house last year). He got all the information he needed and sent me a quote from his van immediately after the appointment.
The quote was $3000 to remove the insert & install a bathtub & move the drain (labor only, no tub or fixtures included, no drywall repair or anything).
The quote for the water softener was also $3000, which I believe included the water softener & labor to to replace the existing drain and old plumbing. These quotes seemed high so I am still shopping around. However, I have no doubt that this is a great company that does quality work.

Our water softener system quit working. I called Lawson plumbing as they installed the system and we had used them in the past with no issues. This time they said the sensor had gone bad. The person said if the part was in stock with their part supplier it would be a couple of days. If it had to be ordered it would probably be a couple of weeks. In either case someone would contact me to let me know the status. I called twice over the next two weeks and they didn't know what was going on but would check and contact me. I also filled out the online contact form. No one ever called me. I called today to cancel the job and I will find someone else to fix it.
Received a phone call from the company and they came right out and fixed the problem. Not sure where the communication failure took place but all is fixed now.
We needed assistance with a leak on a Sunday night. The Response was very quick and greatly appreciated. HIghly recommend!
I am very impressed with Lawson Family Plumbing. We discovered a leak in our dining room ceiling and wall, below our master bathroom. Kenneth came right out and found the problem and fixed it quickly. He was polite, professional, and showed up on time. The leak was not easy to locate due to the location within the wall and ceiling, below and behind our upstairs bathroom sink. Kenneth even went up into the second floor attic to inspect the vent pipe and ensure the leak was not in the roof. He spent over an hour finding the problem and did not charge us anything for his time. He communicated clearly what the problem was, gave us a very fair estimate and fixed the leak on the spot. It appeared to a challenging repair due to the limited work space and multiple structural obstacles he had to work around. Despite that, Kenneth solved the problem quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Lawson to anyone needing plumbing work.

I have hired many plumbers and contractor's and this outfit ranks among the best imho. Had my faucet replaced and toilet reset. Not a big job but some folks can make a big production out of nothing. Not Lawson's - they kept it simple and quick! They use only best materials and do clean work. Jeff P was efficient, thorough and friendly. Lawsons is easy to do business with. Reasonable charges and punctual! They are my go-to plumbers from now on.

Although oddly, my first review seems to have disappeared from the list, I am upgrading to 4 stars.
The owner, Jeff, immediately contacted me after my initial review to see if he could investigate what happened and make it right. There seems to have been some miscommunication, possibly on both sides, since the technician stated he had called me back twice but I never received any message on the voicemail - or from a family member - so I gave benefit of the doubt. He offered to still do the work that they bid.
Their bid was the lowest, and the plumber was very nice and pleasant when he came out to inspect the job. We will be considering them again for future work when needed. I really appreciated the effort Jeff took to try to correct the situation and keep a customer.
Had a kitchen sink drain that was stopped. Called on a Sunday was able to get service the same day with no extra charge. Friendly helpful staff thank you.

We are remodeling our guest bath.
I had a prompt estimate by a knowledgeable person. The estimate included tub install, rough-in for new faucets, moving a toilet and demo. I decided to handle the demo myself (sigh...triumph of hope over experience, but I got it done).
There was no issue with removing it from the quote. The office staff was great in setting up the work schedule. The team came as planned, did the job and left our home neat and tidy...in-spite of having to jack-hammer the floor etc. The plumbing work seems great.
I'll use them again. They may not be the cheapest, but they come on time, do the work as estimated and leave the job clean and neat. Those are all important qualities to me.

Contacted the company (via Yelp) and got a response within minutes. Called and received an appointment (non emergency issue) within 48 hours. Darrell showed up ahead of time (after calling ahead) and diagnosed and repaired my issue within an hour. I am very impressed with this company and now have no reason to research plumbers again. Hopefully, Darrell will be the technician to show since he was very professional and personable.
We had a complex job involving a leak in the yard that ended up requiring rerouting our water from the main to the house due to tree roots ruining the original line. Lawson came out promptly, worked with us to coordinate with the city to open the main valve, gave us a temporary line so we could have water overnight, and came back right away to finish the job. They did fantastic work and you'd never know they had to dig up the front yard to do it! They have our highest recommendation.
