I had a grease clog in the kitchen branch to the main. It happened on a holiday and I was lucky Vic was available to come out in 30 minutes. 5 Star experience with Vic.

We have a dual flush toilet that had a fill valve replaced incorrectly by a handyman. The toilet wouldn't flush completely and would run longer than it should after a flush. Lesson learned; call a plumber for toilet repairs.

Enter Vic.

We selected him based on many outstanding reviews on multiple websites. He quickly replied to a voicemail and asked for a photo and video of the flush issue. Vic quoted a fair estimate, and told us he'd work us in as quickly as possible -- within a day or two.

An hour later he called back to say he could come by same day on his way to another job nearby. He arrived on time, diagnosed the problem with the toilet quickly, and made the appropriate adjustments.

Vic is personable and professional. He's the kind of plumber whose contact information you want to have saved in your phone.

Today was the 2nd time we've used Vic's Handy Plumbing. The first time was a bit over a year ago when our kitchen sink was clogged. We have very old pipes and our landlord just doesn't care. He came out, climbed on our dangerous roof to get his snake down the pipes to unclog. He explained what we could do to prevent this in the future and we haven't had any problems with that sink since!

Fast forward to 2 days ago, yet another clog we couldn't troubleshoot ourselves in our bathroom sink. We even invested in a decent snake and couldn't do it ourselves. Vic showed up 4 hours after I called, snaked the line, checked for leaks and let us know what we could do with that sink to prevent toothpaste buildup in these old pipes, etc.

I trust this guy, and he's super friendly. Prices seem to be comparable to other places and honestly, I'd pick him over all of them in a heartbeat.

Noticed a leak on the floor by the base of the toilet. Thought I needed a new toilet so I called Victor to see if I needed to go buy a toilet and if he can install it. After describing my issue, he said my the wax seal was probably worn. When he said the wax seal was worn, I thought he was talking about the caulking around the base and I was like that's not gonna fix the leak under the toilet!? I guess the wax seal is the ring that the toilet sits on? Victor came and took the toilet out and replaced the wax seal and put the toilet back on. He flushed the toilet a few times to make sure there was no leak. He cleaned up all the working area. He's a small business owner and I highly recommend him (at least for toilet related needs from my experience).

Vic installed a clean out and snakes our home twice trying to clear a drain. When this didn't work, Vic and Giovanni (a plumber associate) contacted Crowne Plumbing, as a last resort to perform a Hydro Flush on my sewer line. This didn't work either.

Perplexed but not giving up, Vic was instrumental in explaining to a City sewer worker that something else was going on in that their was no evidence of a broken pipe and that the City of San Jose needed to find out the root cause of this sewer blockage. I checked with Vic repeatedly on the phone as helped guide me through my dealings with City of San Jose.

Lo and behold, while installing a new primary sewer line the City failed to connect my lateral line to the primary sewer line. After digging up the street, reconnecting my sewer line and repaving the street, I now have sanitation services.

My family uses Vic. He is honest, reliable and hardworking-You couldn't ask for more in a plumber.

I had leaky faucets on both bathrooms. Vic was recommended by one of my neighbors in the community so I decided to give him a call and scheduled for the service. The cold water washing machine valve was leaking & I called Vic's Handy Plumbing for a repair. He was able to do some initial pricing and troubleshooting over the phone with pictures. Vic's Handy Plumbing was awesome from the very first call. Scheduling an appointment was easy and the plumber arrived earlier than he said he would. I had an issue with my toilet and I could not figure out what the problem was. The plumber inspected it and within no time he had noticed where the problem was. After the walk through, he quoted a price that was a little bit lower than what I had planned to use and I was really glad that I reached out to them. He was very knowledgeable and did the work very quickly on that very day and left everything very neat. It was great to work with him and did an awesome job! Vic is THE best! I called him to help fix my toilet, which was leaking from the base in all different directions. Vic came the next day and installed a new wax seal, along with screwing the toilet properly into the flange. I also love that he wore a face mask and shoe covers when he arrived.

The visit itself cost $200, plus $10 for parts. He accepts cash, check, and Zelle (amongst other options) for payment. Vic provides exceptional service and great value -- I've saved his number for all of my future plumbing needs!

Our toilet was leaking from the base. Vic replaced the wax gasket in less than an hour and fixed the leak. He was professional and courteous.

Especially important to us because we have an immunocompromised household member, Vic wore a mask the entire time, is vaccinated, and was happy to take a COVID test (negative result).

Vic responded immediately to my urgent need to address the fact that sewage water backed up into the tub and toilet of the first floor bathroom, and overflowed to the floor. He explained that there were tree roots that had entered the sewage pipe causing the backup. He reamed out the pipe and addressed the issue very quickly. I did not previously ask for an estimate as it was an emergency situation. Professional, courteous, and thorough. I will hire him again.

Updating my prior one star review with updated information. Also read the not recommended one which is similar to my experience.

Vic attempted to repair my bathroom sink which needed a new drain and stopper. I now know there is no record of Vic being licensed as a plumber. His work product leaked - he didn't catch the leaks, I did. He tried to leave twice, each time with the pipes leaking from different areas. He said it's just a small leak as if it's ok to leave water soaking the inside of a bathroom cabinet and elsewhere.

He hollered at me to pay him immediately after I simply said to wait overnight and see if his two leaks were actually fixed. They weren't. I felt scared as he is a big guy at least 2-3x my size. He videotaped me driving away, I felt he was trying to block me from leaving, and then posted his Karen rant. I had to block him from texting me after a barrage of demands and insults, including questioning my profession and telling me I was not actually in that profession. I received dozens of invoices sent to my email along with commentary calling me an ugly B****.

I had to have a real licensed plumber come and redo the work. He removed what Vic had done and put in the proper product. Vic didn't even use the correct type of pipe, for a plumbing service!! He didn't install his product correctly either, and jammed a bunch of plumbers putty to try to stop one of the leaks. The real plumber explained exactly how Vic had messed things up.

Vic's response says it all. He can't respond to the facts because they are what they are, and only attack me as a female. When I discovered his leaks and asked him to fix them, his response was to accuse me of never hiring a plumber before and not trusting him. Rather than deal with the leaks, he also called me just a stressed out mom.

I managed to get him out of the house and into the driveway. He then blocked my driveway with his van, and I had to call the town police to ask them to come get him to move. I was legit scared he would do something to my property or try to intimidate me again as there was no reason for him to sit there. Luckily he did finally drive away so I could cancel the call.

Note all of this scary behavior was in response to my saying I would give it overnight to see if the leaks were fixed before I paid his invoice.

Vic was awesome! We had a sink which was clogged. We live in a townhome with close-fitting pipes and joints which are not easy to clean. Prior to Vic, another plumber inspected the clogging and could not fix it.

Vic was able to snake through the drain quickly. He realized what went wrong with the other plumber - was able to adjust and remove the clogs. He was in and out of house quick and did good reliable work.

I would recommend Vic for any plumbing needs.

I consider myself a decent DIYer for plumbing. Have replaced several garbage disposals, installed R/O system, and replaced countless faucets (24 years in same house need to change up things sometimes) but in this case I could not replace a leaky bathroom faucet due to a nut and piping that needed to be cut off. Vic spent 30 minutes replacing the faucet of which about 10 minutes was removing the old fixture and nut.

He was on time, courteous and efficient. As others said, he is on speed dial should we need a plumber again. Highly recommend

A month ago I had a shower tub leak and I called Vic to have an inspection and repair. Vic and his crew were super responsive and friendly. They went down to the crawl space and located the leak. They repaired it quickly - it was late afternoon, well passed their business hour but when they found out a component was missing, they drove to the nearby home depot to buy it instead of asking me to wait until the next day. The original leaking pipe was not installed properly and took a big effort to remove, but Vic removed it with minimal damage to the tub. He even offered to remove a metal sheet that was a trip hazard after they finished the repair.

Their quote was on the pricier side but their services worth every penny. I'll definitely recommend them if you need a plumbing job done.

Vic just finished snaking our sewer line for us in order to solve a bad (to us) back up. We didn't realize we had a problem until water started coming out of the bottom of our toilet....apparently that happens when the pressure from a sewer clog gets to be too much. Not knowing what to do, I searched for a plumber in my area. Vic's Handy Plumbing came up and I made a quick call. Despite it being a holiday, he picked up and was working. He was able to diagnose the issue from talking with me over the phone and said he'd be over in an hour. Vic came by and quickly snaked our sewer line. I was very satisfied with the service provided by Vic. I needed someone to flush my gas water heater and adjust the faucets in my downstairs bathroom so I called VIc (I had previously used him - based on his excellent Yelp reviews - to replace my toilet flush). Vic said he would be able to visit me sometime the next morning and sure enough he gave me a call the next morning to give me an hour's notice of his arrival which I very much appreciated. He was very respectful of my property - wearing shoe covers and taking care not to have any water drip from the hose pipe that he used to flush my water heater. I particularly appreciate Vic taking the time to look at my faucets (which have rusted badly and need replacing) and make the necessary quick fix adjustments. Vic is a a great guy and I would highly recommend that you give him a try.

Vic was quite responsive and helpful to my minor plumbing problem - unlike several other plumbers I had called - over the phone he walked me through what he thought might be going on and even how I needed to work with my condo association to get prepared for the repair (our assoc. needs several days of notice to shut water off in a building, etc.) I had not even contemplated any of that. On the day, he was on time and very efficient. He had to wait, unfortunately, for the water to be shut off (even though we had scheduled it to be at the hour he was to arrive) but did so with patience and good will. The fix was quick and painless.

I used Vic's services for replacing all the valves in my apartment. He responded pretty quickly on Yelp to all my messages and it was easy to get a quote and book an appointment.
When the day of the first appointment came, an emergency came up and Vic called me early in the day to let me know about it and ask me how do I want to proceed with our job. I chose to postpone the work for later the same day, but the way that day went was not too satisfactory to me (there was a 3 way sync between me, Vic and the guy who was supposed to perform the service which did not go that smooth), so I let Vic know that I was not too happy about it. He owned-up to it and offered to do the work himself at a later time we convened to.
When that day arrived, he was at my home on time and he did a great job. Overall I am really satisfied and I will definitely contact Vic for any future plumbing job I might have.

Our toilet is original to our place which means it is easily approaching 20 years old. What started as a weak flush escalated into a perpetually running toilet as the toilet could not quite fill itself to the point to tell the pump to stop filling it with water as the flap at the bottom had eroded. We tried our YouTube meets Amazon wizardry to try to replace the flap but our toilet was too old and it failed epically. We called a competitor who came out and diagnosed our toilet as being too old and quoted us an installation price that was fast approaching four figures -- not including the cost of the toilet! Keep in mind we were just asking for a standard toilet replacement, not a bidet or anything fancy.

I called around and reached Vic and was able to explain my situation as well as provide photos of the toilet. He asked about the valve as well and I sent him a picture of that as well and recommended that it may need to be replaced as well. He was reasonable and was able to come quickly. Vic even offered to pick up the toilet for us, which was a great help and timesaver (toilets are REALLY heavy btw).

The day arrives and Vic arrives on time and ready to roll when we realized the waterline was not shut off (even though the HOA implied this would be part of the process...). After confirming the location of the pipes in the building (unlabeled, mind you), Vic was able to turn off the waterline and completed the service in under 2 hours. He replaced the toilet as well as updated the valve so in the future we wouldn't have to involve the HOA to turn off the water supply.

It was barely 11 am when he finished and I while I had steeled myself for a daylong ordeal he was already done -- new toilet installed, old toilet removed, all the social distancing protocols (masks, gloves, booties to cover his shoes) followed to a T. Thank you, Vic, for bringing a newfound quiet that we didn't even realize we were missing as well as a new toilet!

Wouldn't recommend this plumber. Vic's came out, inspected my clogged toilet and fixed it, so I thought. About an hour or two later the toilet wasn't working again. We had scheduled Vic's Plumbing to come out and take care of another issue before we knew he never fixed the first problem. Vic's never showed up for the second appointment. Oh and did I say he charged me $175 to fix a problem he didn't actually fix. Gave Vic's one star because he was prompt with calling back to schedule and did show up for the first scheduled appointment on time but other than that a no go company for me.

- Victor asked helpful questions over the phone, correctly assessed the problem and explained it to me (mainline clog backing up tubs and toilets in a 66 year old Eichler with no easily accessible clean-outs)
- Reasonable pricing estimate provided up-front; the estimate was what I ended up paying in the end
- Carlos came over within the hour. It was a nasty clog and it took him over an hour to clean it up, but he was relentless and professional
- Carlos stuck around and got me to confirm everything was working fine, even though it was late in the day

We initially called Vic to help with a clogged toilet that we have been having issues and just couldn't unclog with a plunger. Then I started piling on some additional issues we had with the glug glug noise in the pipes we would hear in the kitchen every time we ran the washing machine. Vic ended up using a snake to clear the toilet and also doing a line cleanout both from the roof and directly through the sewer line. All the work was completed in about an hour. Had the parents over for Thanksgiving and the toilets back up. Not fun. Vic was able to come within 45 minutes, snake the drain all the way to the street and knock out the clog. Once again ! VIC came to the rescue. My kitchen line was blocked up. He was able to make it out within the hour. Snaked the line. Within 30 minutes I was back in service. This is an update for Vic as another job well done! We had a massive clog the week of Christmas that was backing up our master bath shower and toilet. Kitchen sink was not draining well, a problem that we have had before most likely because we use the garbage disposal for everything. Anyway, knowing the holidays are around the corner and would hate for this to become a bigger problem I gave Vic a call. I'm often suspicious when I see a long line of 5-star reviews, but after what I experienced today, I'm joining that line! I came home from a trip to find my dishwasher and kitchen floor flooded, and the water pressure in the entire house was inconsistent.

I called Vic at 7AM, and he managed to squeeze me into his morning schedule the same day. The problem turned out to be a combination of issues, all of which he solved within an hour!

Not only am I completely satisfied with Vic's service, but his price was very reasonable as well.

Are there any negatives? Sure. He doesn't accept credit cards, and he doesn't have a website.

I don't want to sound too much like a TV ad, but if you're looking for a professional, reasonably-price plumber, give Vic a try.

We have used Vic twice, as we were quite satisfied from our previous service call.

Vic was responsive, answered our call right away, and showed up on time. With our more recent call, our bathtub would not stop running. He talked us through how to shut off the water to our house, then he had asked us to text photos and when he arrived he diagnosed the problem AND had the needed part already on his truck. The price was fair and the service excellent.

Vic is the best. I had a kitchen sink clog that 4 tries with a 50' snake could not clear through the p-trap line. He ended up going up to the roof and using a 75' snake cleared the clog through the air pipe. I could not believe the smell that clearing that kitchen sewer line created in the house... but that is what 24 years of gunk in the sewer line can cause.
Vic was patient and persistent. He was great to work with, and patiently answered my all my questions and explained what he is doing. He also advised me how to avoid any future clogs and how to freshen the smell.

Vic was quick to respond when I called, gave a reasonable quote over the phone and was able to come to my house in less than an hour. It was a quick job to unclog the drain in my bathroom sink using a snake. My sink is missing the stopper because it broke a few months ago and he suggested I buy a cheap mesh sink strainer at Home Depot instead of buying a new faucet since the faucet is still in good condition.

I asked him to take a look at my other bathroom that had a very slight drain problem and he fixed that too using a Zip-It, which he also suggested I buy to save me a plumber visit. When he went to his van to get the Zip-It, he said he had a present for me and gave me his extra sink strainer. He didn't charge me extra for the strainer or for fixing the other sink (it was only a very minor clog, but other plumbers might've charged me).

I really appreciated that he was giving me suggestions to help me fix the problems myself and save money, even if it means cutting down on his business. I will definitely call Vic if I have any plumbing issues in the future. Such a nice and honest guy!

There's absolutely no way these drones of 5 star reviews were real. I would look at the ones that aren't 5 stars. I came to write this review because ive never experienced worse service. Victor never removed the clog, but the water did flow down and we payed full plus tip thinking nothing of it. Later that day that clog readjusted itself and our pipes were backed up again. So we called vic and asked him to please come back. How he responded was disgusting. I told you not to pour anymore grease down that drain. Did you? Blaming me for a bad job. And he followed that with i can come and fix it again, for half price more! And not wanting to call another plumber we agreed. Stuffing that pipe because of the smell of sewage was filling the room and he played phone tag. No im busy. Maybe tomorrow. Sorry couldnt make it. No response for a week! We payed a new plumber. He was APPALLED that victor didnt give ANY kind of warranty. If i were you i would go with patterson. It was only 5 dollars more. If you can see this vic i demand my refund!

The main sewer was clogged and yucky stuff overflowed into the tub & shower. I called Vic early this AM and he was able to accommodate me on the same day. Vic arrived as promised.

I explained to Vic the problem. He told me what he would do. Vic snaked out 1 of 2 clean out in front of the house. After running the sink, shower, laundry sink and flushing the toilets Vic showed me how the water was flowing through the mainline with little to no problem. He believed that any clogs occurred between my pipe to the street side had since cleared, but doesn't doubt there was a stoppage somewhere.

Vic gave me instructions on some preventive measures for the future. He was very professional / courteous and seems to know what he's doing. Vic guaranteed his work and said should there be any issues he would come back and snake our pipe at no charge. What I found assuring was his commitment and his warranty for his work. Honest and reliable.

Major props to Vic - he bailed us out (fortunately, not literally!).

Last night, the Moen-type regulator gave way on our shower at like 9:30pm, and the water couldn't be shut off. There was no way we could sort it ourselves, so I just got on Yelp late last night and spammed a few places. Vic was one of these.

Vic was awesome, and his assistant Carlos, he was straight forward and gave me a very inexpensive quote compared to others, of course I went for it. I found the clean out myself but it had a weird 'y' connection to the clean out. The clean out section was facing the street. I attempted to clean out the drain using a hand held drain snake but failed to find the clog. Because of the 'y' section, one end did not go the direction of the house. So that's when I called Vic. He saw the weird configuration to the 'y' section and gave me the option of going through the roof vent from the main bathroom since we couldn't find the main clean out facing the house. He retrieved his portable drain snake, got on the roof, went through the toilet vent, and in minutes got the clog cleared out. He showed me the roots that were stuck to the end of the drain snake, All took maybe 30 minutes. Yes, both had masks on when they arrived.

Vic has come out to my house a number of times. He has always provided great service and he is my go-to plumber. We had what seemed to be a simple faucet leak turn into a nightmare. My HOA could not turn off the water to my unit due to their own master line issues. They had to ultimately turn off the water to the entire complex. Vic patiently waited and worked quickly to get water going back to the other units. When it turned out the faucet I purchased was not the correct one he rushed out to a specialty store and purchased the correct part (which was even cheaper than the part I bought).

He recently came out for a sink repair. We agreed on a price. He then discovered an additional leak and offered to remove the soap dispenser which we didn't use. The soap dispenser took significant extra time because of its location. He used a number of new parts to complete these additional repairs and even cleared out a developing clog he found while making these additional repairs. After all this additional work was done and new parts were installed, he still gave me the SAME quote.

I messaged Vic to help me replace a toilet for better handicap access after my go to plumber ignored my call because the job was too small. Byeeee old plumber.
Vic responded in a timely manner , gave me a pretty accurate estimate and showed up as agreed upon. He and Carlos did an amazing job replacing the toilet. He took the extra time to carefully remove the old one and made sure the new one was positioned correctly. He even installed an additional wax ring for correct height and seal. I asked him about a leaky faucet in the garage and he kindly fixed it at no charge.
What made me respect him even more as a professional was he took the extra time to be thorough- test flushing the toilet with some toilet paper when he noticed the unusual waste water drainage pattern -turns out it works fine and was just unique to the toilet brand.

Which is fine but I made the mistake of accepting his quote at face value without sending him a picture.. this was a first for me.. so when he did show up , he ended up charging me almost twice as much for installing a new toilet.. the additional pricing was for a new shut off valve ( including the valve) and the fact that my toilet seat had a bidet too! Regardless I wouldn't expect these items to increase the cost from $255 to eventually costing me $400 dollars ! The work he did seems fine ( no issues) but overall it was a 3 star experience for me!

Victor and Carlos saved me today! Yesterday, my laundry room sink backed up to the brim of the sink when the p-trap blew and all that water came pouring out. My house is 50 years old - you can imagine I've experienced more than a few plumbers. None is better than Vic. His approach is conscientious, practical and knowledgeable - keeping the customers needs in mind always. Throw in Vic's pleasant, down-to-earth personality and I found a winner! The dishwasher air gap was overflowing into the sink and leaking underneath. It is really crowded under my sink with a disposal, R/o unit, and Water filtration. Expert troubleshooting led to discovery the dishwasher hose was kinked and new Bosch dishwasher was pushing out more pressure than the previous Miele combined with cramped quarters led to the overflow leak problem. Vic deftly rearranged the air gap and soap dispenser on top of the sink to provide more hose room underneath, modified the air gap fittings and hose for a tight fit and adjusted the drain hose to prevent further kinking. He did not leave until he felt satisfied he had fixed the problem! That's what I call stellar customer service.

Vic was so so great! One of the best professionals I've worked with. I contacted him in the morning about a broken tub handle that required an immediate fix. Vic is the best! This morning the main sewer line was clogged at my moms house. I freaked out, we had water pouring out of toilets and the shower as well. Had about 2 inches of water in each bathroom and was running around trying to contain all the water. I quickly yelped a plumber and chose Vic based on reviews. I called two other places before him and they both went straight to voicemail. I was trying reach who ever was closest but couldn't reach anyone. Sen an RFQ and he responded within 5 minutes. He was congenial on the phone and after several minutes his suggestion to replace rather than repair my toilet was very well understood. Vic has installed two low flush toilets at my house within the last 6 months. One of the toilets was a skirted toilet and it was a more complex installation than most toilets.

Vic is very knowledgeable about plumbing and explained to me what he was doing in a way that a non-plumber could understand. He believes in doing the job right so that other problems are not created in the future.

Called Vic based on the stellar Yelp reviews. Was not disappointed! He answered quickly and was able to work with my schedule (next day). Had a main line clog which backed up both tubs in a 66 year old Eichler with no clean out. One tub had been slow draining for over 20 years...just lived with it. However, when the other tub started to slow drain and also affect the toilet flushing, could not live with it anymore. Vic worked on both tubs at the source of the clogs and also snaked from a vent at the roof of the house to 75 feet to clear the drains. Everything drains great now and the toilet flushes normally. Service charge was more than fair. Vic wore a mask at all times and used shoe coverings when entering the house...very reassuring during this pandemic. It is easy to say to support local independent businesses, but Vic gives good reason to with honest work from an honorable man.

Victor deserves a full 5-star review, as he was the second plumber I asked to check my under sink pipes and garbage disposal for leaks, as the first plumber never did appear when their office said they would. We called Vic's Handy Plumbing this morning at about 7:30AM because both of our bathrooms were totally backed up. Victor Barajas arrived less than an hour after calling him and went right to work. He had to snake out the main line from a roof vent since a proper cleanout had not been installed when the house was built 50 years ago. He had the line clear in less than an hour for a very reasonable price.
I had called one of those corporate professional plumbers who had indicated that they were not allowed to go on the roof and would have to install a cleanout for more than $1000 in a couple of days to get the water running down the drain again.
Victor really understands the necessity of having a working toilet in the house.

I'm a new homeowner, so when anything breaks, I freak out because I have no handymen on call or any go-to people for home repair issues. So when my garbage disposal broke, I went straight to Yelp, determined to do my due diligence and make the best choice. Vic was actually the first call I made in my quote gathering, and something about his warm demeanor on the phone was so genuine and helpful that I thought I'd give him a shot.
Not only did he squeeze me in the next day (a Saturday) on Labor Day weekend, but he explained very clearly and thoroughly the process of replacing my garbage disposal and the associated fees. As with getting car maintenance done and choosing a mechanic, I was worried a plumber would try to bamboozle me in some way. Vic was definitely not about that. He was about keeping his word and being honest and reliable.
He came on time, shook my hand, handed me his business card, and put on protective shoe booties before he entered my home. He communicated with me throughout the whole repair process and took just as long as he said he would and no longer. I like that I can get some rough estimate via Yelp from victor. He is pretty responsive. Answered all my questions professionally. Estimate via text/Yelp save everyone time, instead of calling multiple plumbers and scheduling to meet each of them just to get estimate.
I have procrastinated long enough on all the plumbing issues. So, I asked him to help fix everything all in once. Toilets, valves, kitchen faucet and bath faucet. He also offered to help pick up the items at Home Depot.
He offered very reasonable price. Will sure call him again for any future help needed.

Found a small leak, texted a photo, got instant reply saying he'd call soon. He called 1 hour later with his quote, came in person a few hours later to see what parts he'd need, and confirmed a time to fix the leak the following morning. Came right on time the next morning. Not only fixed the leak, but also took steps to prevent the leak from recurring (waiting an extra 30 minutes for glue to dry, putting supports around the pipe, cutting tree roots, etc.). He also turned on the water and left, so that we'd use it for a few hours to make sure the leak was really fixed, before he returned to back-fill all the dirt. Answered all questions thoroughly, gave useful tips for the future, and even fixed a small completely separate issue without charging extra. Definitely 5 stars.

I had a backed up sewer main (emergency as no water in my house was able to be drained) and called a 5 Star Plumber I found on Yelp, they were completely booked but gave me Vic's number on the off chance he was free. Best thing they could have done. He was just finishing another job and was able to get over to me and fixed the issue within the hour. He explained what happened and how he resolved the issue. You know that feeling when you have a plumbing problem, and despite your best efforts to deal with it you realize you need a professional, and that's when the sense of dread really hits you...because historically finding a plumber who is available and good has been the emotional equivalent of hitting your head against the wall over and over?

Or is that just me?

Well, it isn't me anymore, because this morning I called Vic's Handy Plumbing. Vic said he could arrive in half an hour - and he did! He had covers to put over the soles of his shoes so he wouldn't track anything into the house. He quickly unclogged our bathtub drain, gave us tips on how to avoid similar problems in the future, and carefully cleaned the area he worked in. Plus he was such a nice and polite man.

Obviously I hope I won't need a plumber any time soon, but knowing I can call Vic means if I need plumbing repair I won't have to worry about finding an excellent plumber!

He was able to fit me into his schedule the next day (again, it was a long weekend), and did a thorough job diagnosing the issue we had (clogged kitchen sink), and getting it fixed. Vic responded quickly to my call, communicated with me about the appointment when an emergency required his rescheduling, and he showed up on time, wearing mask and gloves. We had a toilet that was leaking when flushed (disgusting). Because we have another bathroom to use, this did not feel like an emergency to us. He went about cleaning up the mess with great care, sanitized the entire area, and replaced the failed wax o-ring. The part itself is very inexpensive and replacing it would have been an easy fix for a handyman. However, despite what initially felt like a lot of money for the job, I feel like he earned every penny of it given the nature of the problem. I did not check his price against anyone else. A small thing - I would have expected him to bring his own paper towels and plastic garbage bags rather than my supplying them. Not a big deal. I would call Vic again in a minute if/when another plumbing problem arises.

I highly recommend Victor. I had a leaking shower faucet and based on the yelp reviews decided to call Victor. Well it turned out that the cartridge assembly for the shower faucet was completely corroded and it was going to be a much more difficult job than expected. Victor went above and beyond to still get it fixed during his visit. He got my shower fixed despite a more difficult job and was he was extremely professional throughout the job. I plan to have him replace my other shower and sink faucets in the near future.

After reading the rave reviews of this company, I called Vic to replace the wax ring of a leaky toilet. I described the job and asked him for a quote. He quoted a very reasonable price on the phone. It's rare for plumbers to give a quote on the phone, let alone a competitive quote. They typically come over and evaluate the job before quoting a price. They don't even give a price range on the phone. And they charge for the estimate, ranging from $69 to a few hundred dollars depending on the job. Their quotes are typically exorbitant. If you don't like their price, you'll end up paying for the estimate and be back on square one. Anyway, Vic came over the next morning and took care of the job. His attitude, thoroughness and professionalism are exceptional. Going forward, Vic will be my first choice for all our plumbing work.

We had a clog in the kitchen sink (only) and tried snaking it and using Liquid Plumber to try and solve the problem ourselves - neither worked. I called Vic and he was available that same day. He arrived promptly, was courteous, professional and diagnosed the problem right away. After clearing it, he gave instructions as to how to avoid this in the future. I would absolutely hire him again!

I had a leak under the sink of the kitchen and called Vic. He asked me to take a video to see how to address this. Over the phone, he said it was an easy fix and told me to try and clear the main line with instructions of how to do that. I fixed it myself after talking to him! No business ever does that. Most would come in and charge 200 bucks for a 5 min job. I trust their service and will call them first if I have any plumbing issues.

I can not say enough good things about Vic's Handy Plumbing! Vic is the only plumber I will be using from now on. As a realtor, I have encountered lots of workmen, and Vic is the *best*. Late last night, my husband tried to fix our slow shower drip, and after his fix, it turned into a rapid drip that quickly filled bucket after bucket of water. I was very concerned and didn't want to waste the water. This morning at 7am, I frantically Yelped out requests. Vic responded lighting fast (within 10 minutes), asked me to send a pic of the problem, then quoted me a *very* reasonable price. I accepted. He was able to come today (same day service, wow!), worked quickly, showed up on time, and now my shower looks great with nice new handles and a faucet which do what they're supposed to do. He left the job site clean, and was polite to boot. Vic is an honest, professional, and high quality plumber. Thank you so much, Vic! I will be referring all my clients to you from now on.

Vic saved my day today. I had a clog in the main line and the plumber from home warranty caused a horrible overflow. (I think if I post the overflow picture I will get my Yelp account banned.) The home warranty plumber just left the mess behind saying that a cleanout to be installed. I called Vic and he said that was BS and he can fix it using just a snake. He was able to come out in an hour at 6pm (I had to pay a lot more of course) and got everything taken care of. He even cleaned and bleached everything. Vic was professional, quick, and friendly. Definitely recommend.

I found Victor on Yelp and when I requested for the quote, he was very quick in responding, provided with the quote and came by my house the next day. He was very punctual and arrived exactly at the scheduled time (called me 30 mins in advance confirming that he was on the way). It was really appreciated since it was on a working day and I had to come from my office to take care of my plumbing issue. He did a great job de-clogging the disposer in the kitchen sink, replacing the disposer (I wanted a new one) and installing new faucet. Repeat customer! I'm really bad about writing reviews, but Vic's work prompted me to follow through. First time around, he replaced a leaking toilet shut-off valve, and fixed the wobble on the toilet itself. Today, he cleaned out a clogged drain. The guy knows his stuff. He responded to each inquiry ridiculously fast, requested pictures to get a better understanding of what the problem was, and quoted accordingly. Reasonable rates, courteous and professional. It is sometimes difficult to decide who to call for competent work. With so many choices I picked Vic because I figured his name is on his company, so his reputation is on line. I called Vic because we were having water drainage issues with kitchen and laundry tub. He showed up on-time and worked through a perplexing problem requiring snaking multiple drains due to the existing additions on our house. This required Vic to spend more time than expected, but he was determined to solve our stopped laundry tub drain problem. During this, Vic was balancing other customers that were requesting his service. He never lost his patience and everyone was happy (I always lose my patience when attempting plumbing!). His prices are fair, he will complete the job, and great customer service. I highly recommend Vic and will use him for my future plumbing needs.

I called another plumbing company and set up an appointment Friday morning 9am to fix my clogged kitchen sink. When Friday 9am became 12pm then 3pm and still no plumber in sight, I called Vic who came by the next day. The original plumbing company did not send anyone and despite my repeated phone calls, no one called me back. Vic replaced my exterior pipe access to make it easier to open and proceeded to unclog my sink in less than an hour. He explained each step, was friendly and neat. I would call Vic quickly next time to avoid hassle!

Called within a minute after requesting a quote and so punctual he gives the exact time instead of a time bracket. He arrived before the time he promised and unclogged the main sewer line through the cleanout. He's friendly, wasn't in a rush to finish up and leave ASAP and charged the quoted price. He cleaned up the scene (outdoors) so you don't have to worry about it. He's been in the business for a while and recently started his own business. I would definitely recommend him.

vic is awesome - he quoted me a price to replace my tenant's garbage disposal - but when he came he was able to fix the current one - he saved me the cost of the new garbage disposal and even charged me less than his original quote for the labor - on top of that, he fixed my tub filler for me which had a broken diverter during the same visit

I contacted Vic via Yelp and asked him for a quote (drain pipe was clogged): he responded fast via Yelp-Email, asked for some clarifications, proposed a fixed price, and settled with me on an appointment next day. So far, so good. Next day, the bummer: Vic didn't show up and also didn't contacted me / my spouse via cell phone (I had shared a number with him). When I called, he first didn't understand the context but later called back, apologized (too many clients), and explained that he prefers to use text for making appointments and that Yelp didn't work for him. Well, why didn't he tell me that in the first place? Anyway, Vic was insisting of showing up the next day and I decided to give him a second chance. He did offer me a discount as part of his I will make up for it package. Once we switched to text, he showed up as promised, and was able to fix my problem. He explained well what he was doing and why and I learned something about the different pipe materials that should ideally be used in a house along the way. He seems to be competent and I kept his business card for my next clogged pipe. And he ended up giving me a discount. Lesson learned: if you want to do business with Vic, make sure that you use your cell phones' text app for the appointment part.
