I was doing a remodel on my kitchen and needed additional outlets with GFCI/AFCI protection installed in a difficult position. I also needed to upgrade my oven from an old 30 amp circuit to a new 40 amp circuit, and needed a new 40 amp circuit for an induction cooktop. Needless to say, this was all something beyond the abilities of a DIYer.
Johnny Electric was able to answer all my questions regarding the National Electric Code, and installed all of the above at a reasonable price. They were professional and courteous, and even came back when two of the outlets weren't functioning as expected.
Honestly, I thought this would be like going to the dentist or a car dealership, but this was actually a good and smooth experience. If you're in the Irvine area, I highly recommend Johnny Electric.
Highly recommend Johnny Electric. Small family run business. We needed some cameras hooked up which is essentially like hooking up 110v floodlights. Most vendors I met charged a markup but they were the only vendor that said power is power.
Why I recommend them: 1) They are honest 2) They are communicative. 3) They are efficient. 4) They are free of any drama.
I worked with many disappointing vendors, it hertz thinking about them. That's the end of my review, sorry I'm coming up short.
It is true what they say. Johnny Electric is THAT good.
Michael came and replaced a four year old NEMA outlet that had become a fire danger. He arrived promptly and finished the job quickly. And checked to make sure the panel and breaker were not damaged or in need of replacement.
We also tried to have a new switch installed for a combo ceiling light/fan but it turned out the switch was incompatible since the fan was stuck on one speed rather than variable. I was impressed that rather than winging it he recognized the problem, called in to get advice, explained the problem to me and then reinstalled the original switch after fixing the prior installer's mistakes without additional charges. He also cleaned up before leaving.
That should end the review. But it turns out this particular lifetime warranty NEMA outlet may get installed upside down and they promptly sent Michael out to fix it.
I was particularly impressed with Michael's professionalism, pleasant demeanor and respect for my property.

Johnny was on point with our initial EV outlet inquiry and detailed pricing straight away. He was competitive with excellent communication which made our decision easy. Scheduling was convenient and Chris (installer) texted arrival updates from previous job (it's weird to point out such obvious details but good grief these day it stands out, especially for people working in our homes). Chris and Ryan showed up outlined the work and did an amazing job. Everything was perfect and they did an exceptional clean up of all the bits and pieces. Finally work was documented with a warranty.

I highly recommend Johnny Electric! I've used them twice to install ceiling fans, one recently installed in my living room's vaulted ceiling. They are very professional and do top notch work. Jesse was totally confident, competent and efficient accessing power and installing. After the installation I needed dry wall repair and asked for a recommendation. Baldo Garcia did a fantastic job with the drywall repairs and texturing (from a 12' ladder). Baldo, as well, is a total pro.
Johnny team installed EV charger at my place two weeks ago, they found a pathway from upstairs across the attic down to the garage. They did an excellent job and answered all of my questions. I will going back Johnny Electric for services in the future.

We wanted to get our ceiling fan and dining light replaced. Our local community group recommended them. They were quick to response to our inquiry. Set an appointment. During the day of appointment, they sent a text to verify. Sent a text 30 min before arriving. Did an excellent job with both items. Jesse was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend.
The following review is for service provided for my mom who does not use social media, but wanted to be sure to share her positive experience.
Initially there was some confusion with scheduling but other than that I was pleased.
I'd like to give Chris the credit. He was great! He was professional , explained everything. He also returned quickly to double check something for me at no fee.

I am happy to say I have found my go to electrician. I needed a pendant installed on an outdoor deck with stucco ceiling. I just texted them a picture of the location where I wanted the pendant installed. They were able to give me a quote the same day. The whole process was seamless. Easy scheduling, they texted to confirm our appointment. Chris was on time and very professional. I am a perfectionist and I believe he did an amazing job. It was a pleasure working with Chris. Top quality! It's so difficult to find a reliable and friendly electrician. I needed to update the amp at my warehouse and I searched high and low for an electrician to come out to my shop. Johnny was not only responsive but gave me a fast , fair quote and besides that guaranteed his work which you won't find in this field. Don't take the cheap stupid route of finding a random handyman , hire a pro like Johnny and get it done right the first time around. They are legit the best. Thanks for everything.
So I thought I was an electrician, decided to install a timer switch for outdoor lights. Things did work out as expected. Fortunately I had the good sense to call JohnnyElectric. Michael the electrician showed up on time, analyzed the problem, taught me a few things while he professionally solved the problem.
Based on my experience, I would strongly suggest that DIY when it comes electricity is not a good idea. Calling JohnnyElectric is a good idea.
Needed and EV 240 volt installed and after calling several people for quotes, JE was the best price and called me back promptly. Jed came and did such a great job that I had him install a couple other outlets too. He was very nice and professional. I will be calling them again in the future for any electrical needs!

Had some electrical issues on a Saturday called them in morning and was able to speak with someone immediately and get them scheduled to come out later afternoon. Both electricians were very prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. They explained issues, fixed them, and made suggestions, which I appreciated. I never felt pressured to take one of their suggestions, which would've cost me more. Would highly recommend for your electrical needs!

I highly recommend Johnny Electric. Their electrician was very professional and quick. He installed an eyeball LED can light in our living room and two outdoor lights for me at a fair price. He provided some helpful lighting advice and fixed a light bulb in my wet bar at no charge.
A very solid business. I'm very happy with outdoor outlet that was installed. Now I can charge my EV on the garage driveway instead of inside. Rick came early and left within 30min.
Johnny gave me a quote that was 50% lower than all the other electricians.
I already recommended him to others.
My GFI outlet in my kitchen didn't work properly and caused some outlets to not have power. I texted Johhny Electric and they were able to send someone out the same day. The repaired the issue and even identified an issue with my breaker. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely use Johnny Electric again.
Johnny is fantastic, quick reply, got my jobs settled over text. I know enough about electric to get myself in trouble, and he offered some advice and basically diagnosed and fixed my problem over text message. I hired Johnny Electric to fix some wiring issues that a handyman wired incorrectly. Johnny's worker was courteous and professional. He fixed the issue quickly without leaving any mess behind. Worked with Johnny Electric to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet to support EV charging. My place already had the conduit and junction box installed so all they needed to do was run wire and add a breaker. Simple work and very reasonable prices.
My city requires a licensed electrician perform load calculations for any EV charging installation and these folks were happy to help complete the paperwork.
This review is a long time coming... I reached out to Johnny Electric back in December 2022 to add a circuit to our panel because we added a plug-in hot tub in the summer and then started experiencing issues with the circuit breaker because of a hair dryer being on the same circuit... Johnny was quick to respond to my request and scheduled a weekend visit to assess my needs. He provided a quote at that visit and had his guys out there within 2 weeks. His crew was awesome. I even added another circuit for future use. All work was done professionally and I have had no issues over the past 3 months. I highly recommend Johnny Electric!
Called Johnny Electric and received the best quote of the 3 companies I contacted. They also best the best smut in for for 100 amp panel EV charger install. Jed was the electrician who completed the service. He was fast, efficient and he knew exactly what Johnny recommended for initial call. I'd highly recommend this company.
I can't say enough good things about Johnny Electric. This man has been an electrical contractor for decades and is one of those rare individuals that has an extremely solid technical foundation to his profession, and is entirely ethical and fair in his pricing, and has a team that is both skilled and works quickly.
His team has been in my home on three occasions. In fact, where he really shined was when he was willing to ask a crew to come in on their day off (one of whom was his son) to take advantage of the presence of some scaffolding in my home to hang a chandelier. Had he not been willing to make the attempt to have a crew come in, the scaffolding would have been removed and I would have incurred a significantly higher cost to complete the job. Notwithstanding the fact that I paid a premium rate to have a crew come in on their day off, they completed an extremely technically challenging job perfectly.
I found out that most electricians are not willing to have a crew go up on scaffolding, but these folks are professional, experienced, were able to work safely, and complete the job flawlessly. Professionals like these men are rare indeed in my experience.
His crew has been in my home three times and likely will be here again in the near future. If you want professionals in your home and not wannabes, call him

Chris is awesome! He listened to me describing the situation and immediately was able to pinpoint the root cause. BAM!! Found the shorted aluminum wires (1970 house) down stream of the circuit breaker.
I found Johnny Electric through a referral from a close friend. The rave review and high marks he gave them proved to completely on point.
I needed Johnny to relocate and upgrade my original 1963 100 AMP panel to a new 200 AMP panel. In addition, I wanted to get a Level 2 electric vehicle charger installed in my garage as well as some socket and switch upgrades throughout my home.
The Johnny called me very quickly after I left the first message for him. We discussed the scope of the job I needed done. He came out the very next day for a site walk and to provide me an estimate. The man is extremely knowledgeable, detailed and likeable. He made good recommendations that made sense and explained everything so there would be no surprises.
Johnny called me 2 days before the scheduled work to confirm we were still good for the scheduled date for work to begin. He again confirmed that there was a lot to be done, that we would be without power all day but assured me that we would have power on before they left. We already owned an electric generator so the down time was manageable.
On the day of work, they called to let us know their ETA, which was appreciated. Johnny and his whole crew showed up on time. Johnny and I walked the job through with his crew so everyone was on the same page. They then got right to work. There was a lot to be done and they were efficient. You could tell they were a good, cohesive team that worked well together. Everybody was in good spirits which tells you they like their job and like where they work. There was good humored heckling going on which was a crack up to experience.
It was a big job and they were on-site for over 9 hours hours, but got everything done. They left no debris or trash anywhere. Johnny was meticulous in his quality assurance checks and reviewed all the work they had done at the end of the day.
I've attached some pictures of the new 200 AMP Panel in its finished state as well as the L2 EV charger installed. We couldn't be happier.
I give high praise and 5 stars to Johnny Electric and his crew. Professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and punctual. They get my highest recommendation. If you go with Johnny, you're making the right call.

These guys are awesome! Johnny came out when he said he would. Gave me a great quote. Set up an appointment. When the appointment came, they ran late, but when I called, Johnny picked up right away and let me know they were running late and would give me a call. Jesse called as stated. Jesse was friendly and super fast. They got it done in less than an hour. And they did everything they said they would do. They kept the price they quoted me and they tested it for me. Johnny Electric was very responsive and was clear about pricing. I don't have electric work done often as a caveat but my quote was exactly what I was charged for installing 4 ring cameras.
Wanted to say Jesse and Michael were super kind, efficient, informative. Hope to request their services in the future.
I've tried contacting Johnny Electric for the past couple of weeks and have yet to receive a response beyond a price. I called several times and texted during business hours as well.
Went with a different company who actually responded instead.
Johnny Electric was quick to respond and in scheduling. Their technician came in and out efficiently and did stellar work. They have great communication and will not hesitate to call again.
Diagnostic on issue is excellent. Well hire them again if future electric issue arises.

Johnny Electric did the job I requested. I needed to have a ring camera wired into the garage and it was a good job. I had questions about some outlets and the technician looked at the outlets and answered the questions. He also replaced an outlet that was loose. The tech was on time and efficient.
The only thing unsettling was the price. It was 298 for the 1 camera and outlet change which would be fine except I know a house who had 2 cameras wired in along with other things around the house and their total cost was around 350 with Johnny Electric. Not sure if I was ripped off or not?

Installed a Tesla level 2 wall charger for me. Wired into my existing fuse box. Great service. Very responsive and professional. Highly recommend.
Fast, responsive, and friendly! Their prices are also fair. They helped me troubleshoot our grill area lighting, which we've tried multiple times with different electricians to fix, only to have the wire keep tripping after a few days. Johnny is the only one that was able to properly diagnose the issue and fix it. They also helped install two outdoor chandeliers and did a great job. I'm so glad I found them & will definitely reach out for future electrical needs!
The electricians from Johnny Electric have been to my home 3 times for different lighting projects! Each time Chris & Jedidiah, have been amazing. They know what their doing, and get it done. They are super neat . When they are done, you never know they were there... except for the beautiful lighting they installed!

This is a very reliable company. I called them as my outdoor outlets were not working. Chris came on time, he immediately figured out the problem. Fixed the outlets and multiple other electric things in the yard that I asked him to check on. Very professional, reliable and fair price .

They came for a sub panel replacement but ended up doing a lot more. They installed new recessed lights, retrofitted old, installed ceiling fans, new switches and outlets. All of the work was done well. They were super friendly and efficient. Great price and up front pricing.
Today was the second time I had Johnny Electric out to upgrade my breakers in my panel. One of my breakers would trip every so often during high load. During the first visit, the 15amp breaker was swapped out for a 20amp breaker. This is a great solution to reduce/eliminate the trips. On the second visit, I had the remaining 15amp breakers swapped out for 20amp breakers.

Johnny answered my initial phone call himself. When I gave him my address, he mentioned he knew exactly where I was because he did original wiring in this condominium complex.
I was given a same day appointment, which was quite impressive, and three hour appointment time window. The technician called a half early to say he'd be arriving right at the beginning of the given time window. Again, impressive.
Technician was so professional but also friendly and courteous. He quickly identified the issue at hand and resolved it for me. The pricing was fair to my knowledge. I would not only utilize their services again, I also would also recommend them to friends, family and the Yelp community.
Great service, good communication and good value. Most important thing is they get the job done. Highly recommended.
We've used Johnny Electric before and they were fantastic, so when we had a ballast go out at our business, we knew who to call.
At first, the part needed for our job was out of stock but they kept me in the loop until it arrived (which only ended up being a couple days delayed anyway). Jed came out and was friendly, quick and got the job done.

Johnny's team arrived on time this morning and gave me a call when they were on the way. The boys are very nice and professional, installed chandelier fast and adjusted the height in the hallway. Also the price is reasonable and beats all other quotes. I'm super happy and will definitely call again for future needs.
Really great job installing my new Tesla Wall Charger. He completed it in less than 40 minutes. Best quote out of all the other quotes. Very clean and fast paced and also wore a mask for COVID. I will use these guys again Chris did a great job installing!

It took awhile to get an appointment but I can see why they're so busy and it was definitely worth the wait. They tied 6 brand new recessed can lights into an existing can light in our living room and replaced half a dozen more. They also replaced a broken outdoor outlet with a new one and installed a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. They came with a friendly crew and they got all the work done in just a couple hours. They were neat and cleaned everything up before they left. They did an excellent job at a very fair price and I would highly recommend them!

Great service! I called on Saturday morning with a light switch problem. Jed came out and solved the problem and had it fixed by 1:00. Fair price and very easy for us. I'll definitely use them again if needed.
I contracted Johnny Electric for a GFCI outlet in our water room for a bidet. We worked out a plan over Yelp messages and they were ready to come by and install the outlet in the same day. My electrician arrived at the time they said they would. On further inspection, my electrician found an electricity source even closer to my water room which reduced my estimated costs and the amount of work (drywall repair, snaking cables, etc...). I was very satisfied with their installation.
Super happy with my advice. Had a ceiling fan installed and everything went as planned. Chris was pleasant and cleaned up very well afterwards too. No surprises just great service. Will definitely use them again for electrical needs!

We used their service for a level 2 installation for our electric car and could not have been happier with the service. They were promptly, responsive and the install went smoothly. We were trying to troubleshoot why my car had a slower charge and Johnny electric actually called me back a few days later to help troubleshoot. This issue was related to the car charger and they went the extra mile to make sure things worked correctly. Many thanks to them and I am happy to support a local business.
I got the two new bidet and needed two electrical outlets.
Johnny Electric gave me a great deal, two outlets for $250 and if I paid in cash he gave me a 10% discount. This was the cheapest price I was quoted compared to other electric companies.
The two gentlemen that showed up to do the service were very nice and wore PPE and kept a social distance. They finished within an hour and did a great job where no dry wall needed to be fixed.
Overall I'm loving my new bidets and everything works perfectly.
Needed to have some findings resolved following our buyer's home inspection and these guys made the process easy as could be.
Quote provided at the beginning was prompt, clear and very competitive. Communication felt a little slow once I confirmed I wanted to book an appointment, but that's only because they were so quick to respond during quoting. I still got a response within a couple hours and had an appointment booked two days out.
On the day of the appointment, I received a call about three hours ahead of my window saying they were ahead of schedule - great! Once at my home I walked through the items needing to be resolved - several GFCIs needing attention, doubled splices at the sub panel, and a few outlets that just wouldn't work. After the walkthrough, he gave a time estimate of about two hours and away he went. Then just about two hours later, the work was complete! Everything checked off the list and price matched what was quoted ahead of time.
These guys know what they are doing and offer a great service. I look forward to working with Johnny Electric again!

Excellent communication and fantastic service. I needed 3 outlets installed for 3 bidets. All 3 outlets are gfi outlets and looks great. No patchwork needed to be done. Chris installed 240V for Tesla and new outlets in my new home. Excellent detailed communication, super prompt answers to text and great workmanship. No holes in the walls, damage or problems.
Builder insisted that the 240V be installed in the front of the garage - Chris recommended doing it below the panel in the back which is where I wanted it to begin with. Worked like a charm and is closer to the charging port. I was worried about all kinds of holes in the dry wall to install plugs in the WC and drawer but everything was done without any drilling and the plugs including inside the drawer for phone chargers look like they were built in during construction.
I don't have anything thing to compare the costs, but in my opinion it was extremely reasonable and inexpensive for the time spent and the workmanship.
Finally I'm so happy to find an excellent reliable electrician for the future. Please, please hire them for anything you need done.

Had two fans installed in the upstairs bedrooms. He installed the electrical outlets into the ceilings and put the fans together and installed them. Great job! They're awesome and he cleaned up and protected the furniture in the bedrooms with plastic. Don't hesitate to use this company you won't be disappointed . He charged me $195 per fan which is reasonable since no fixture existed prior in the ceiling.
Had a faulty GFCI that didn't trip and ended up melting/burning the GFCI, the box and wires. Jesse and his assistant (didn't get his name) worked around some obstacles to get to undamaged wiring and relocated the box. They didn't cut up the drywall, so I only have the original hole to patch up, which makes it easier for me. He called 30 minutes prior to arriving and they were done in no time. Even though we were their last job late on a Friday, he thoroughly answered all of my questions and explained what likely happened.

Installed an electric car charger and I paid an additional fee for a load assessment, so I could pull permits.
The owner was supposed to do the load assessment and never did. Emailed, called, raised it through Yelp. No response.
Very disappointing for a so called well rated business.
The electrician showed up on the dot, was very friendly and did a great and efficient job installing 2 ceiling fans. We have several other fixtures we need installed in the near future, and we will definitely be calling Johnny Electric again.

I had called Powell Electric to repair wiring on chandelier, replace dimmer switch, and replace light socket in bathroom fixture--they quoted me $1,075.00 to do wiring, $500.00 to replace dimmer switch and $400-500 to replace socket--REALLY?? Incredibly ridiculous for sure! I promptly sent them away and contacted Johnny Electric. Spoke with the owner Johnny of course--he was super nice and was able to fit me in early the next day--The electrician Chris was exactly on time, super cordial and professional, and he took care of everything in LESS THAN 1 HOUR!! And how much?? It was less than $200.00 plus parts.....Stay away from Powell Electric and I HIGHLY recommend Johnny Electric.
Johnny communicated promptly, the team showed up in time, they worked swiftly and answered all of my questions, they completed the job a lot sooner than expected, they cleaned up, and the price was fair. I'm keeping them on my favorites list for future jobs, I won't need to bid again, I'll just go straight to them.
Team was very responsive and I liked them so much I had them come twice! The first time it was to get power to an outlet above the fireplace that was specifically set up to mount a tv, and didn't work. The second time was to install a ceiling fan. Both times, they were timely, professional, and not cost prohibitive. I would use them again and again.

We needed a number of electrical outlets replaced throughout the house. A representative from Johnny Electric responded quickly to our request for service. The repair person arrived on time and did an excellent job of replacing the electrical outlets. I felt the amount charged was quite fair.
My electrical issue wasn't the easiest to solve. Not having an attic made things even trickier. I thought we'dhave to start ripping out walls. But the electrician Chris managed to figure out the issue within the hour and had our lights working perfectly. All walls intact. Courteous and professional service. He even managed to answer a few extra technical questions I had about the fan install I was in the process of doing. Also, communication from first contact to scheduling was a breeze and all through chat. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

I needed an EV charge port install. There are some excellent electricians out there but I went with Johnny bc his quote was slightly lower and he was able to schedule me quickly and w flexibility. You know what was even better? Jed came out and completed the job within 30 minutes! He communicated 45 min before arriving, he cleaned up after himself, he explained some questions I had. I was looking to get a 240v outlet installed for my Tesla and wasn't sure where to start. Found Johnny through recommdations on Yelp. He knew exactly what I needed, asked for photos and provided a quick quote the same day. His team showed up within hours and and had the Nema 14-50 installed faster than I can tie my shoes (almost). His crew was professional and fast. After I picked up my car, I had some confusion about charging speeds, texted him and he replied within minutes and educated me on how it worked. Well done! My property manager sent a vendor and said the electric circuit breaker subpanel needs to be replaced. I asked Johnny Electric to come to the property for inspection and quote. Johnny responded quckly but needs to wait for two weeks for the appointment because they are booked. They came and said the subpanel does not need to be replaced and suggested some alternatives which is much less expensive. I truely appreciate their professionalism and honesty.
First experience was great - the job was done quickly and efficiently. The second experience was terrible - called, scheduled, and then they totally backed out of the date we scheduled with ridiculous excuses and clearly lying for no reason. Weird.
Jesse and a crew member showed up at the scheduled time and installed GFI outlets for our 2 bidets and replaced an under cabinet light fixture all for a very great price. Will definitely reach out to them again for future electrical needs.
I had them install some can lights, pendant lights and some other miscellaneous changes with minimal drywall impact.
A team of three electricians showed up on time and did a great job in about a half a day.

THANK YOU, JOHNNY ELECTRIC! Best service ever Almost got bilked for $12,000 from large unscrupulous electric company who did NOTHING to fix my issue!! Called Johnny Electric after hunting and getting a recommendation from a neighbor.
Spoke directly with owner. He was compassionate, timely, more than reasonable fee. Two servicemen came to our home. Masked for covid-safety, of course. Polite, excellent communication skills, extremely competent...and fixed our problem!! They guarantee their work. So-oo thankful!! Thank the Good Lord for competent HONEST repairmen!!! Cannot say enough. Will def use them again for some other work I know I should also do.
Needed a 14-50 outlet installed for my EV charger and Chris installed it within an hour and was very professional. Very reasonable prices compared to other electricians in the area I highly recommend them. They take card payment as well! The price they quote you is also out the door pricing.

Had a partial power outage at the house today. Tried all the usual DIY options to know avail. Called Johnny Electric and they sent out Jed within the hour. I recently moved and needed a charging station for my Tesla Model S. Johhny and his crew did my old home so I reached out to them again for my current home. As before 5 stars for price and clean install...no conduits (metal tubing). I now have two Tesla's (MS and Roadster) and had Johnny install 3 charging stations for me!
I had the guys come out from Johnnie electric today to install a Sense.com meter on my main panel. They were great! Courteous, prompt, and great problem solver's. I would definitely not hesitate to call Johnnie electric again. Thank you guys!
I have used Johnny and several of his team members on many projects from exterior landscaping both standard and low voltage to interior complicated new wire runs through the attic and everything comes out PERFECT every time.
He stands behind his work and even though we made changes throughout the process ... he accommodated them all and I was pleased with all of the work and would highly recommend him and his team on any electrical project that you want done right the first time.
I have had him also work on my mother's and sisters house... and they were pleased as well.

I contacted 5 different electricians to get a quote on a 240v outlet install in my garage. 2 didn't get back to me at all, 2 scheduled appointments a couple weeks out, and Johnny Electric got back to me the same day saying that he had a cancellation and he could get there in the afternoon.
Johnny looked at my panels and said the install would be quick and painless. He explained the process and scheduled the follow up on the spot for the very next day. No upsell. Just a straight forward (and reasonable) quote. Jesse and two of his guys came out the next day and were done within an hour. All the guys were extremely pleasant and easy to chat with.
These guys have been fantastic. They call right before leaving and were all very responsive to texts. I originally was going to have them handle the permit until the wife decided to do it on her own and they were pleasant in taking my cancellation to that part of the job as well.
This was a fantastic experience. For the record, still haven't even heard back from a couple other electricians...
Tough review for me to write, good guys, but the final job fell short of what was expected in several ways. Scheduled an appointment, they came out and completed half the work and said they would have to schedule another appointment as they were 'out of time' and had to go to another appointment. Never heard back from them and had to proactively call them 2 weeks later to get back on the books for an appointment. They came out and did the remaining work, but it fell short again. Hired them to run wires behind a wall and fix lights in my backyard, on the former, they created an opening in the wall, but I could not feed the wires from one opening to the other, so this was really of no help to me. Regarding lights, they fixed the electrical outlet that was bad but the lights still did not come on, so to me the problem is still not fixed (I would have gladly paid for additional work to get the lights fixed as a working outlet is nice, but does me no good if the job ask is not completed). Spoke with owner, nice guy, and admitted they are in a good position with lots of work, but that means that I as the customer get shafted having to have work broken up into multiple appointments, workers that scramble on my job, leave it incomplete, and move to the next job so they can accrue as many customers/clients as possible. Owner said 2 weeks ago when I spoke with him he'd have the workers come back out to at least fix the wall space so I can run the lines behind the wall, but still have not heard from them. Finally, while not too big of a deal, they leave a mess behind and don't move furniture, etc back in place- I was left to do all of that. Again, not a big deal, but adds to my perception of sloppy work. I'm a business owner/CEO myself - I get the value of having a lot of work and many clients, but I even more so value the quality over the quantity. Unfortunately, cannot recommend them and would not use them again. Would have gladly paid additional money for the extra steps to have a thorough job and this off my plate, but I'm still dealing with the issues for which I called them.
First to respond to several RFQs that Yelp sent out for me. Reasonable charges compared to others. Showed up on time, and good skilled in completion of job. I recommend Johnny.
I contacted several different electricians for a fairly complicated 50' run in my house across two stories.
One didn't want to do it, the others gave similar quotes but did not seem a professional as Johnny.
They came out, did the job with a team of 5 with a very clean install and just a few small holes. Far fewer than the worst case scenario they described.
This work was for my EV and looks and works wonderfully. They also helped me with the permit process which was painless. Would recommend.
I'm glad I chose Johnny Electric for my last job. I needed a new (second) meter panel installed at my house, so that I could get SCE's special EV rate to charge my car. This involved lots of coordination with SCE, as SCE's crew had to get scheduled, spot the meter, disconnect my service, make some of the connections themselves, install the meter and turn the service back on. Johnny endured all the curveballs that the planners at SCE threw at him, had to reschedule multiple times, special order parts, and eventually complete the job in almost half the time he would have had because SCE showed up late and unprepared.
The one improvement would be if the crew had actually cleaned up when they were done, or tried to keep the area clean while working. My other feedback is I wish they actually asked me where I wanted the junction box (not directly on the stud, of course) and the new outlet (4 feet off the ground, not 1), and let me choose an industrial-grade outlet instead of the $9 kind.
Overall I'm happy with Johnny Electric and would definitely recommend.

A long overdue review for Johnny Electric and his son Jessie. We have used Johnny Electric for all of our electrical issues. They do great work and are reasonable and responsive. And, they show up!
I should add that they also stand behind their work. We were selling our house and the buyers had a question about the wiring for the microwave that Johnny had done during a remodel several years back. He remembered the work and wrote up an email that alleviated the buyers' concerns.

My interaction started with Johnny who gave me the quotes and details of the job. He was by far the fastest to respond and the most professional. When I was ready to make the appointment his office handled the details very professionally. Then came the day of my EV install. The electrician was simply wonderful and very knowledgeable and before I knew it he was done. Overall excellent experience. I'm glad I found this company. I had can lights installed in my kitchen and one had what appears to be a nail head pop through the drywall. On Monday I called to ask if I could pound the head back in and not do any damage to the electrical or the light can. I was told to text a picture, which I did. On Wednesday I sent an email because I had gotten no response. I got an email response from Chelsea stating she would resend the picture to the owner. It's Friday afternoon and I've gotten no response.
Obviously, I won't be using Johnny electric again for my home or business and I won't be recommending the company either.

The company was extremely responsive over texts and scheduling the appointment was simple and easy. I work with a lot of commercial electricians and wish those companies could all be as professional and responsive as Johnny Electric. The installation went well.
I've had Johnny and his team out to my house in Laguna Hills several times. I've always been impressed with how friendly and helpful they are. Johnny has always answered the phone or gotten back to me within minutes to schedule an appointment. This last service call involved running a 20 amp line about 5 feet and replacing a breaker 15 amp breaker box switch w/ 20 amp. The price quote was $250, which was reasonable. However, after Chris (who works with Johnny) completed the work, he talked to Johnny and it was decided that it didn't take the amount of time originally estimated, and thus only charged me $189. It's rare when a plumber or electrician presents you a bill that's substantially less than the original quote - that's honesty! I've happily referred Johnny's team to a number of neighbors.

Used them twice so far, once to repair a broken outlet and remove old fire alarms at our house, and another to repair/replace old fixtures at a rental property. Service was solid both times, would use again, and recommend.
These folks fit me into cancellation in their schedule and managed to save me when the first electrician ran out of time and couldn't come back for weeks. We wanted to install to ceiling fans in our upstairs bedroom but were concerned about the difficulty with pitched ceilings. Almost 10 years ago, we used Johnny Electric for an electrical problem. It took me awhile to locate the paperwork but I was adamant that I would only feel comfortable if Johnny Electric did the installation. I called and spoke to Johnny directly. He gave great advice to assist me in the purchasing of the fans. Additionally, he assured me that he and his employees follow covid protocols to keep themselves and their customers safe. We made an appointment for the installation -- which due to supply chain issues, I had to reschedule. On the day of the appointment, Jed called before to confirm that he was on his way. Jed did an excellent job. He made sure to lay down protective plastic to protect our furniture and rugs. His installation was perfect!!! This is the second review I am writing for Johnny Electric (previous review was in 2013). The company is still as great as it was when I wrote the last review. Johnny Electric is not only professional and experts in their field, but their prices are incredibly reasonable. There simply aren't sufficient words to describe the stellar work and service provided by Johnny Electric!!!!

Over the years I have used the services of many electricians. Some good and some not so much..... These guys are the real deal. The Johnny Electric team was responsive and very knowledgable. I had them install an 84 fan in the living room of my Laguna Niguel home which has 18' ceilings. No problem. They came prepared, assembled the fan and had it up and running in no time. Cleaned up all the mess from the install and it was a done deal. The way it should be. Great guys and very friendly and accommodating. Had them come back the next day for something I had forgotten. No charge. Wow! Highly recommend them. Definitely use them again.
He was very professional, wearing a mask for safety. He fixed our issue quickly and made it over to our home the next day, despite having a busy schedule. Was very honest about the lack of a need for additional parts, which kept costs down. Highly recommend using him, as I'll be doing so in the future!
They helped with a chandelier installation for a 20 ft ceiling and got in and out in just over a hour. This includes time for us trying to figure out what height we wanted. Very nice and cordial but also knowledgeable and meticulous in their work. Great experience!

I have a 240 V 50 amp outlet for Tesla installed in my garage. The inspector felt my 125 amp panel may need to be upgraded to 200 amp or give him an electrical calculation to satisfy the increased load. Two electricians came to my house and gave estimate for upgrading, $4,000+. Johnny came on appointed time but I was not home. Fortunately the panel is outside and he could inspect, in good detail. Later, over the phone, he asked me the reason for upgrading and other questions regarding appliance usage in the house, e.g. gas or electric cooktop, dryer, yes or no pool, compactor .....etc. He was able to complete the calculation and emailed the result to me. This was done after 5:30. The inspector signed off my permit the next day, based on the calculation.
What a relief for me! Money and hassle of upgrading.
In this interface, he keeps his time(to my house), courteous and willing to talk to customer(me), and offers help without compensation.
Johnny was easy to communicate with and all was arranged online. The price was very fair and Chris, the electrician who came, was terrific! He worked quietly and quickly, but made sure we had our questions answered and our concerns addressed. Highly recommend!

Called 3 electricians on a Saturday to get an estimate. Johnny was the only one who answered the phone. The others never even called back. He came out to the house in 10 minutes like he said he would fixed the circuit breaker as discussed. He was prompt & professional. Johhny is the best! Luckily we found him here on Yelp. We needed a new Tesla charger line put in. Had one for our Volt already. Johnny (the owner) was here to do the work. He noticed some things done poorly by another previous installer and corrected those problems too. He is the real deal and an honest guy. Johhny Electric should be #1 on yelp. I hope my comment will help bowsers who are looking for a good electrician. I had about 5 small jobs at my house. Although Johnny's Electric's quotes weren't impressive when I got other quotes, I decided to go with them because their rates at Yelp was high. It turned out that they staff up with 2 or 3 guys and compete the jobs in a short period of time. So the hourly rate may be slightly higher but they were soooo quick and I ended up saving money. Of course, their knowledge and experience supported their quick performance.
One of issues I had was Ring Doorbell Pro installation. Jessie at Johnny's Electric suspected the device was defect but I had to listen to Ring customer service reps. I realized that was a mistake. It seemed that they were following their training manuals. They made us change the transformer and other unheard tasks but it didn't work. This is a reason why some electricians refuse to install Ring products.
Jessie was very patient with me and the customer service reps. Jessie explained well respectfully when I asked him his opinion. In the end, I changed it to Ring Doorbell 2 and he installed it quickly.
My experience with the Ring customer service made me realize how honest and knowledgeable Jessie was. I found a good electrician whom I can rely on in the future.

We needed our ceiling fan pole shortened, so I sent messages to a bunch of electricians on yelp. Not only did this company reply quickly to my yelp message, but they were drastically better priced than other companies. We set up the appointment via messenger, they called when they were on their way, and the two technicians finished the job quickly and with quality! Would recommend to family and friends.
We've used Johnny Electric twice now - - and both times, their service was excellent. Super friendly, prompt and professional. The price for service was also very reasonable. We will be using them again for a few other electrical needs we have as we slowly remodel areas of the home. We highly recommend them.

Johnny Electric sent Jessie and his co worker to my house to fix an electric socket and to put in a switch for an attic fan. I had all my electric sockets rewired correctly when I moved in. It is amazing how builders and past home owners can wire incorrectly, but I forgot the one in the garage for the electric garage door. Johnny Electric not only rewired the socket to work right, but they gave me a screw for the 'missing screw' that kept the light fixture in place and helped by replacing the light bulbs as well.
The attic fan switch, something they can install to make your house nice and cool in the summer and to help free your house from neighbor's BBQs, fire places and tobacco smells, was not that simple to install. I had my attic fan put in by a great air conditioning company to operate with a thermostat. Jessie configured the switches correctly and cut the dry wall and mounted the switches and the switch plate perfectly. No need for touch up paint; perfect.
Johnny Electric is a great company. They are conscientious, professional, hard working, intelligent and moral. Nothing was stolen nor broken during their work, but the improvement to my house was profound. These are nice people you can trust. I needed a good company because I do not go up to my attic very often and I needed a company I could trust to do work that is fire safe. THEY ARE GREAT.
My three light switches went bad. Chris the electrician came out. He was very professional wearing PPE during Covid 19 time. He was friendly quick and on time. The price was very affordable even though two of the switches I bought were wrong and I had to use theirs. I would highly recommend them. We recently contacted Johnny Electric for various electrical jobs around our house. He and his worker came to our home to see what needed to be done and were on time. They provided me an estimate and were very professional. I looked at various electrical companies and decided on Johnny Electric because of the outstanding customer service and friendly manner of every employee. Johnny and a 3 man crew came out the next week and completed a ceiling fan installation, 2 Ring security camera installations, front porch light replacement, troubleshot our rear patio light, and installed an outlet to our rear patio. Eric came by today to install a 240V 14-50 NEMA in my garage today. I texted him photos of my electrical panel before he came by, and he told me what would be needed and gave me an exact quote for the job. I scheduled with him on the phone to come between 1-4pm, and 30 minutes before he came, he gave me a call and told me he was on his way.

I had been a returning client with this company for several years even though their prices were considerably higher than other electricians. The last time that I contacted them, they placed some fixtures in my home that did not match the other ones, and they had not bothered to ask me before placing them if i was OK with them using different fixtures. When I complained and asked that they be changed to match the rest of the house, I was blacklisted by the owner. He literally sent a text to his office and included me, saying that I have been blacklisted - just because I wanted the new fixtures in my home to match the old ones. After so many years of being their client, I could not believe that we were treated this way. The girl that answers the phone also has a horrible attitude. We paid a new electrician half the price to come and replace their fixtures and could not be happier. Definitely don't recommend this company.
I am shocked that this company- in response to my review - has decided to accuse me of refusing to pay. I have the check that was cashed for the work completed correctly . It is sad that you have to resort to lies - you used to be such a good company. I don't know what has happened there that you guys have resorted to accusations rather than standing by your work. But I am happy to say I have found an honest good electrician and do not regret leaving your company. I hope others have the sense to do so as well.

I needed to have a 220V outlet installed in my garage and contacted Johnny Electric for an estimate. A lady answered the phone and told me that Johnny would get back to me that evening. Sure enough, Johnny emailed me with a detailed estimate of a couple of options. I asked him a couple of questions and he replied the same day. This is refreshing as most other electricians do not respond in a timely manner.
I didn't get to use Johnny Electric as his earliest available appointment was later than I'd have liked. But for my next project, Johnny Electric would be on top of my list.

Called these guy to install a 240v outlet in my garage for it EV. These guys had the best price out of all the people I called by more than 60%! They came and even went above and beyond by rearranging space in my breaker panel. Normally miss electricians would charge for that. I've already recommend this electrician to two of my friends getting their EVs.
Johnny, I did call you one more time and it worked out great! You actually had an opening same day. Your guys came out on time and we're super quick and clean and great! If it was not for the referral from a friend I probably would not have called again. I am glad I did however. Thanks for doing such a great job and bring professional. We called 8:30am in the morning and they came before noon. They gave us a 2 hour window, and Johnny called us 30 minutes before so we would be home, which was really nice as we got to run errands nearby. We have over 10 recessed lights in our home, and some worked, some didn't. The switches were broken upstairs and downstairs. It was kind of a mess. Johnny and Chris got to work, and they were done in 20 minutes! They even had a small vacuum and vacuumed the debris and dust off of the counters after they were done. It was really easy and painless for us. And we used the yelp coupon and got 30 dollars off. Its a family run business. 5 stars on yelp!!! Thank you!

Found this company through Amazon Service. They had both high reviews on Yelp and Amazon so decided to give them a go. Jesse was our electrician and he was very punctual, professional, and got our Level 2 EV charging station installed with no problems or issues. He installed, mounted, and setup all the necessary wiring in under 1.5 hours. All at a great price as well! I looked at several other high rated companies and I chose them due to their prompt replies, straightforward estimates, and their past reviews regarding charger installs.
I would definitely recommend them and will hire them again for my future electrical needs.

This was four months ago and Johnny helped us install another charger for my new Chevy bolt. This time his son and crew came and they were easy to work with. They were on time and did the work as promised. This is their fifth or sixth job for me and second car charger install at my house. The first one was for my Tesla. I go to Johnny and his team for all my electric needs.
I wish to extend my utmost gratitude to Johnny Electric. A colleague of mine recommended Mr. Electric's services when I was in need of assistance with an important project. I was greeted by a Miss Chelsea, who responded to my telegraph with haste and was most kind and helpful in addressing my queries. Johnny appeared promptly at the agreed upon hour and with his skill and knowledge of alternating current, my experiment in electro-mechanical oscillation was a complete near-success. The experiment went slightly awry and caused a moderate seismic event resulting in a few deaths, however this was due to my own miscalculations and not Johnny's work. I will certainly be enlisting his help again when I re-attempt the experiment with a larger oscillator, and will also be recommending him to my colleague Thomas.
First time I needed an electrician and so I searched yelp for a licensed one in my area. Johnny's Electric was available in a reasonable amount of time to change the breakers in the fuse box. He was right on time as promised and even called ahead a couple of times. Once when he left another job and a second time when he was almost at my home. I found this company through Amazon, and I am so glad that I did. The first technician that came out, Jesse, arrived promptly, worked diligently, and was very professional. The price charged was fair and reasonable. He brought all of the necessary parts (thus saving me the confusion and headache of buying myself at Home Depot!), and answered all of my questions and concerns.
I called to schedule some additional work this past Wednesday, October 19. They gave me an appointment for October 21. The morning of my appointment, they called to tell me my technician called in sick. Instead of rescheduling, the owner of the company came out himself to finish the work that I needed done! I was really impressed by this. He arrived right on time and finished everything that I needed done. Timely, efficient, and reasonably priced.

Johnny Be Good! I called Johnny to install a new 240V EV outlet for my Tesla. Johnny called back promptly and gave me a detailed estimate over the phone. Price was very fair.
I had called three other guys. One didn't return my call, one came to my house but never followed up with an estimate and the third gave me an estimate that seemed a bit inflated. I scheduled with Johnny's for a Friday. He sent his two guys Don and Jessie who came at the time they promised. Both were pros and knocked it out in two hours flat.
I would highly recommend these guys.
Johnny Electric was the only company to actually respond to me! His guys came and brought an LED motion detector for our driveway. This detector supposedly will last for years, no bulb change. It was installed and works well. I'm sure if there's any problems with it, Johnny will take care of it. For all our electric needs, we will call upon Johnny
Johnny Electric was great installing the EV outlet in my garage. They did a really good job and explain everything up front. It only took about 20 minutes and they cleanup the area afterwards. Also their price was the most reasonable of all the quotes. As a follow up when the city permit inspector came to my home and had some questions they actually answered the phone when I called and got the approval easily. I wanted to like this company but they just didn't fix the issue at hand. We have blinking recessed CFL lights that literally (strobe) in our home in Woodbury. Johnny said that the ballasts were bad so he replaced two of them. Total cost $139 labor and $78 parts. After he changed them they still blinked. Called back to tell him and he wanted to charge me $89 to come look at it even when the receipts says 90 day parts labor warranty He still wanted to charge me even the the issue wasn't fixed. He recommended changing them to LED recessed lights but wouldn't give a big discount considering he charged us for parts and labor and didn't resolve the issue.
Turns out our neighbor said that they blink when they get too hot which is a safety measure. It does it in a lot of the woodbury homes and CFL lights. Wouldn't you think an electrician would know that? Anyway...like I said the guy was friendly...just didn't fix the issue. Now we're down $217 bucks with lights that still strobe. How annoying.
I called Johnny Electric...and not only did he answer his phone, he squeezed me in for a same day service call which avoided escrow from being held up! He fixed the problem with a service call fee...cleaned out the panel/breakers and was out within the hour! Great customer service, price, and quality. Can't go wrong here...

Unfortunately my experience with Johnny Electric was bad. For my two hour scheduled window appointment he called just prior to reschedule. He picked a new date and time then was a no show after I made arrangements to be home again. No call and no follow up.
Johnny is awesome! I found them through Amazon Home Services. They're always on time, are awesome people, and go above and beyond. I've had them install two chandeliers and have a third appointment with them to come back to install a ceiling fan for us. The first time he installed a chandelier for us, he came with another person, and they were both just great people. He even helped me figure out the optimal hanging height (to see through the window from outside) and fixed the issue with our switch, since it was supposed to be a stairway chandelier light and needed to be accessible at the bottom and top of the stairs. He just installed another chandelier light for me this morning, and was both on time and super quick. It's always a pleasure dealing with Johnny and his staff -- he now has to come back to install a ceiling fan for me, since it didn't ship on time for my appointment this morning. Boo.
The only downside currently is that he is extremely busy. I'm okay waiting since I know he does quality work, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're looking to have something done in the immediate future... like, tomorrow. Because it probably won't happen, haha. Highly recommend!

We wanted to get two ceiling fans installed and Johnny was the least expensive among the 5 that we receive quotes from. Our fans are controlled by remote controls so we did not need the fans to be connected to a wall switch. All of the electricians that we called charged between $235 and $300 to have ceiling fans installed regardless of whether we needed the fan controlled by a wall switch, whereas Johnny charged about $80-90 less than other electricians if we did not need the wall switch control.
On the day of our appointment, we received a call to advise that they were able to see us about 2 hours early, which is always a nice bonus. Don was able to get both of our fans in and he even set up our remote controls for us, all in about 3 hours. He also gave us estimates for some additional work that we wanted done around the house, all of which were reasonably priced.
Don also did his work neatly - he put down plastic sheeting so that he would not track dirt, and he cleaned up all of the drywall that had to be cut in order to install the fans.
It's only been a few days but the addition of the ceiling fans are a nice addition, especially with summer just around the corner. If we need to have more fans installed in the future (or if we need an electrician), we will definitely consider Johnny Electric.
We highly recommend using Johnny's Electric! Johnny and his son are extremely knowledgeable and the work is of the highest quality. Prices are reasonable. We are so happy to have found them!
Used Johnny in the past several times without problem. My mother needed work in her kitchen and I called Johnny. He met me there and did the install, 3 days later the lights quit working. My mother called and left him a message with no call back. I called 2 times a few days later and he still has not returned my call. I guess I shouldn't have said the lights quit working! I will never use him again!
Johnny and his team were prompt, responsive, reasonably priced and did a FANTASTIC job! We had a bit of a challenging electrical job in our backyard and his team took care of everything! I'd absolutely use them again and highly recommend them!
Great job in diagnosing an electrical short coming from a old security system line, Johnny and team came in on short notice and helped accommodate my schedule and did the job well at a reasonable price. And they honored their yelp deal too! Can't ask for much more! Good job guys!
This review is long overdue because they installed a chandelier for me in September, it is now December and I've moved out of their service area. I found Johnny from Lowe's professional referral program. They did a great job fixing a tricky electrical issue in my kids bedroom. Don seems to have more knowledge with smart switches than the other people who came. It took 2 visits as I didn't have the right switches to fix the job correctly and they had to be ordered straight from the smart switch source. Not their fault. Don told me exactly what to order and he was correct. When he returned he was able to fix the issue. He is smart and is able to correct issues that 2 other electrical companies were not able to figure out. In the end cost me a pretty penny to have electrical in the kids room but worth the money. I will most definitely call Johnny's Electrical for my next electrical issue. And I've already recommended them to friends.
Upon initial work I would have given them 5 stars, however, getting them to help me since their initial work has been futile and annoying. I originally had 2 guys come out for a full day and do about $2000 worth of work on our new house. They did a great job and I was very happy about it. A month or two went by and the light they fixed above our front gate stopped working, so I thought I'd have Johnny come back and check it out and potentially do a few small things inside as well. An email and 2 phone calls later and I finally go a hold of him. He came out and said he would give me a quote to fix it, fix the backyard garden lights that were improperly installed by someone else and hook up a light switch for us. After contacting MULTIPLE times in the last few months they kept telling me that he forgot to send the quote and he will, I have yet to receive anything from them or a response at all and it's been about 3 months since he came by. I suppose if it's just a few hundred dollars of work it's not worth his effort but I would have preferred being told that instead of just being blown off. Since then our front of the house light which he fixed and has LEDs that should last a very long time is no longer working (it is on a timer). Unfortunately I suppose I will have to call and pay someone else to look at it since the chance I can get anyone at Johnny Electric to care about it is slim to none. It's unfortunate that this is how they chose to treat a very good paying client and very disappointing.

Great electricians. Was able to schedule an appointment on the same day and they called ahead to let us know when they'd arrive. Answered all of my questions and was prompt in finishing up all the work, including some additional work that was not initially discussed, all within the assigned hour. Prompt, fast, excellent work and great customer service. Already scheduled another appointment to do some more electrical work that I've been neglecting to get done. Highly recommended.
I give Johnny Electric a 3 star despite not using his services. I called to make an appointment and the person that answered the phone scheduled me for the following week with Johnny. On the day before the appointment, a person called me to confirm the appointment. On the day of the appointment, Johnny called me and told me he was on his way. Great!!! So far so good.
Johnny came to my house, took photos of the kitchen (doing kitchen remodel and needed to re-route and add electrical wiring through the kitchen and add recess lighting throughout the first floor), discussed the scope of the project, and told me he would have an estimate ready by Thursday morning. I called Johnny on Thursday afternoon to see the status of the estimate and, apologetically, he told me he was backed up and would have it to me by Friday morning. To my dismay, I have yet to receive an estimate. It's too bad since Johnny appeared friendly and knowledgeable.
I have used several electricians 6-7 times in the past few years and these guys rate at the top. Very nice, professional and quote accurately. Reasonably priced for the work they do. Definitely use them again.
Previous owner of our house had done some sketchy wiring in the garage for lights and garage door opener. Jessie and his partner from Johnny Electric came out today and re-wired in about 2.5 hours as per estimate. Showed up on time (actually a bit early), completed job as quoted. Over the years I've used Johnny Electric on all my home electrical problems. I've had Johnny and Don do all of the following with great results: hanging ceiling fans, mount TVs, and install both indoor and outdoor outlets. When I decide to redo my backyard lighting and power, I'm calling these guys. Great work, on-time, and at reasonable prices!

Just got my Leviton EV charger installed today. Jesse the tech arrived within the 2 hour window and had the courtesy to let me know 30 minutes before that he's on his way. He and his companion (SORRY I FORGOT YOUR NAME) did an excellent and a very clean job. Overall I'm very happy and satisfied with the service. Will definitely use johnny electric for my electrical needs again.
These guys are the real deal. On time and clean work. I am sure if you shop around you can find someone cheaper but I wouldn't want just anyone but Johnny or his son Jesse work on my electrical stuff. They put in great LED recessed lights all over my house, media boxes for my hanging TVs so the wires don't show and pendant lights over my dining table. And for the amount of work the charge was very reasonable. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
These guys charged a full $130 to come to my place and flip a switch on the lamp. Took 30 seconds, and they said they had no choice but to charge full price. I called the owner Johnny and told him that's unfair and bad business. After 15 minutes of back and forth, he said he would send me check for $50.

Couldn't be happier with the service and the results to have to ceiling fans installed. Johnny was incredibly nice and helpful on the phone. Very straightforward with prices and what they can do. I called around and everyone else couldn't give me a price without thinking about it for a minute and then throwing in the well depending in what I may find once I get there. Could be higher.
Don came in to install and he was great. Polite and professional!
My only tip for customers is to ask questions as nothing should be assumed. I asked mid service if the fan would be connected to the switch but hesitated assuming that was a given. It is not. They would've installed for a manual turn on and off (pull chain). It cost extra but overall was still a reasonable price so no point deductions there. Next tip- don't forget to use the Yelp coupon! I forgot despite getting the referral from yelp! Duh
Looking to install a 240volt outlet for EV charger. Weary about hiring people for home improvements, so picked based on reviews. Emailed Johnny and he was able to quote me a reasonable price range. His guys came out within the hour of the appointment ready to go. Don and Jesse were nice and polite electricians who finished the job real quick! Tested the outlet voltage for me. And they were on their way.. I think I could have done this but I dont want to take hours OR die from being electrocuted haha the price was just right for the job. In the end it should save me time and money when I start charging the car! Give these guys a call for your electrical needs, they are good at it.

Have used Johnny twice since my initial review and both times I was satisfied. The 2nd time Johnny saved me money by getting a new motor for the bathroom ceiling fan, instead of getting a whole new unit. The 3rd time Johnny and Jesse swapped out a hard-wired ceiling fixture in a 14-foot ceiling. I could probably get someone cheaper but I like having someone who is licensed, reliable and professional. He called to update his estimated arrival time, which was earlier than scheduled. They use a tarp as needed and clean up after themselves.
I just called to see if there was any availability for a service appointment this weekend. He said the first available appointment would be December 20!

I was able to make an appointment for the next day for a small job. They called ahead with plenty of notice and were on time which was much appreciated. They were professional from first call to finished service. Identified and replaced a bad GFI, called my client with the details and got his credit card info over the phone, and I was on my way. I will definitely call them again next time I need an electrician. Don did a great job.

Johnny Electric was very helpful in diagnosing a problem with a circuit in our house. We have had multiple outages and issues with the same circuit over the last year or so. Turned out that when we changed out all the outlets in the house a few years ago, the guy that did it didn't properly tighten down the wiring on the outlets (major fire hazard!). Johnny was able to diagnose the problem (after 2 other electricians have been out here over the last year to fix the ongoing issues) and properly fix the problem. Cost us a bit, but the effort was well worth it. Highly recommend them.

This is a review regarding Johnny Electric. After receiving many quotes from other electricians, Johnny electric was right there with the lowest quotes. What made the final decision was the information that he provided to me. Johnny was very knowledgeable and his team was very professional. While other electricians kept telling me how they had to damage our walls for the install, Johnny's team came and said that there was no need to damage the walls. Makes you kind of wonder about the companies out there, looking for the easy way out and charging you for it! I cannot say enough about Johnny and his team. I will be calling them from now on if I need any electrical work done.

I had some problems with the lights in our yard and bought the yelp coupon for Johnny Electric but changed my mind and cancelled and to asked another contractor to come and fix it because of a supposedly lower initial estimate. well they couldn't fix the problem and I was still charged. Need it done quickly, safely, and afford ably? Here ya go! Called them to move and improve a kitchen outlet and do some work on some outdoor flood lights. He came exactly when promised, had all the tools and equipment to do these projects as well as a coupla more I thought of once he got here (ceiling fan, lights in living room, etc.). Yay!

Johnny himself provided me the service to fix beeping noise from smoke alarms (I thought that the noise from chime bell... wrong) after checking electronic wires from every smoke alarms. He also replaced the AC outlets, which had tripping problems for months. He was very kind, fast, and gave me the great deal on service costs (with a nice pen with flash and pointer as a gift too :-)). He came to my home sharply on time, and I am very satisifed with his service quality and kindness. I will definitely use his service again. I also used the coupon from Yelp~!

Looking for a honest and good electrician is like looking for a good mechanic! After all the reviews I called on Friday evening and to my surprise there is an opening for the next day from 10am-12. I needed a 240v outlet for my new beloved GM Volt. I was asked to sent pics of my panel and the plug of my charge cord. Don showed up at 10:30am finished the job in 30min and left everything spotless and working like a charm. Pricing was fair, on the low end if you get the Yelp coupon. Makes me wonder why I waited so long to get a 240v outlet installed... mostly anxiety about cost and getting ripped off I guess. The boss even called 5min after the tech left to ask how everything went. Will definitely called them back for a few ceiling fans and hopefully my Tesla next year. I called Johnny Electric on a Saturday morning after realizing that we had a burning smell coming from the breaker box in the garage. Several of the breakers were hot to the touch. They came out within 2 hours to repair some broken breakers and tested everything to make sure it was completely fixed. I was incredibly pleased at how fast, accurate, and reasonable they were. Fantastic professionals!!! I will definitely call them for any future electrical needs and refer them to all of my friends. Thank you for fixing a scary problem for us so quickly!!!

I was referred to Johnny Electric by a friend in real estate some 15 years ago and I haven't used anyone else since! They are always on time, treat your home with care and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. I've used them for everything from hanging chandeliers; outdoor outlets; breaker issues; and everything in between. Very reasonable priced and just great guys. I'm a client for life.
Don from Johnny Electric was on time, courteous and friendly and fixed my problem in about 10 minutes flat! The problem had been created by miswiring by a prior electrician during a remodel. Nice to know there are still good guys out there.
Best electrician ever. My sister is in hospice and there is a lot of hospital equipment involved and the outlet that her breathing machine, hospital bed and lamps were connected to went out on Christmas eve day!!! Johnny electric cam to my house to replace a circuit breaker. I waited a while to post a review to make sure everything worked, and it does!
Like all electricians, the minimum charge is for one hour of labor. Since my house is 40 years old, he said he would recommend changing all the circuit breakers, in addition to the one that didn't work any more. Since the additional cost would be for parts only, and he could finish the job within the hour, I decided that would be a wise thing to do. When he finished a bit before the hour as up, he also replaced a receptacle in my garage for just $5, the cost of the part. He accepted the coupon with no problem.
He did run a little late, or I would have given him a perfect 5. I wish I could give 4 and a half. I would definitely call him again for other electrical work.
Ceiling fan and electrical box installed. They were quick, and very polite. Price was great and arrived on schedule. Will call again for my next electrical need.
An honest electrician! I had an electrical issue in all outlets I my kitchen that was effecting my fridge. Johnny told me to plug the fridge into an outlet in the garage. It worked and saved me paying a hefty premium on a Sunday evening visit. Johnny squeezed me in the next day and quickly fixed the problem....educating me along the way.

Called Johnny Electric to install recessed lightning in five different rooms. Every time that I called him, he answered the phone personally. Johnny said that the work was going to take two days to complete. Work didn't start at the scheduled time, but he did call to inform me that he had trouble finding my home on the GPS. Johnny and Jessie stayed late to complete all the installation of recessed lighting in one day. They were very professional and courteous. The work area was very clean and tidy. Just recently moved into a new house with a gas hookup for the dryer -- of course my dryer requires an electric hookup! I called almost a dozen electricians within the area for a preliminary quote to install a 240 volt/30amp....to my surprise, the quotes ranged from $225 up to $1200! Johnny was at the low range of this quote so I initially felt a little apprehension considering him to do the work; for such a low price comparatively, I wasn't confident that I was making the right decision. However, Johnny amongst all the electricians I called was the only person who patiently listened and asked questions then explained to me in lay terms exactly what he would need to do. The lack of condescension (as received by other electricians over the phone) was an added bonus! He and one of his electricians, Don, came right on time, and got the job done quickly, efficiently and neatly! I am thrilled to have found a professional, personable, and affordable electrician that I know will be my permanent go-to-electrician. Thanks Johnny and Don!

Their rates were reasonable, they did everything in 1 day, and always arrived on time between the original quote and installation day. We went back and forth with various options, and each time Johnny provided revised quotes, answered all our calls, and was very patient with us. To top it off, we had 1 fan that wasn't working, and we asked them to come back and take a look. We realized that WE had made the error when we installed the wrong kind of switch (we upgraded to a fancy one on our own) but they fixed it and did it at no charge- even though it was our fault. This is excellent customer service, and I will be recommending Johnny and his team to anyone who needs electric work!
I've used them for 3 jobs (aluminum wiring pig tailing, installing electrical boxes, attic re-wiring up to code) and every time they're delivered exactly as promised. Prior to having them start the first job I bid them against 4 other electricians. Their pricing was slightly higher than the lowest bid but they are far more professional and worth the extra piece of mind knowing that I'm working with a trustworthy electrician who can get the job done as promised.

We used Johnny Electric to update all our fixtures and outlets in our newly purchased home...a two day job. They were recommended by the realtors, but we went out and got 3 estimates anyway. Johnny's prices were a little cheaper than the others, but his friendliness and easygoing personality during the estimate process made it an easy choice for us No regrets. Johnny and his guys were professional, showed up on time, and did a great job. 3 of the outlets for whatever reason did stop working within a year, and we are having them come out again to work on it...they told us no charge if it was something they did incorrectly the first time. That is nice...knowing that they do back up their work.
We needed to put recessed lighting throughout our new house, and I researched several electricians. The prices of Johnny Electric were within the range of other electricians, but slightly cheaper. They came over and finished the job quickly, and were extremely nice and professional. We decided to use them again to hook up cable and electricity in our living room, and their quote again beat their competitors. Johnny Electric also gives a specific time when they will show up as opposed to a large window of time, which makes it very convenient. We highly recommend them.

I found them on yelp and decided to have them work on ceiling fans installation in our new home because their reviews were pretty good.
The actual installation went well. They showed up in time and finished their work as scheduled. However, one of the fans they installed started turning on itself 1 month after the installation. I called them and told them about it, and they were nice enough to come again to take a look. This guy (one of Johnny's crews) told me that the cause of the problem would probably be the remote control's frequency being the same as our next-door neighbor's, even though I live in a house, not a condo or shared-wall-town house. That is when I found out that the switches on the wall I asked them to be hard-wired was not hard-wired. (not to the ceiling fan/light) The fancy looking switches on the wall was just a remote control installed on the wall. I told him that I had wanted them to be hard-wired, but he said that most people don't want any holes on the walls when hard-wired and that is why they usually do just remote control. I understand some people (or many people) don't want to have a hole to have it hard-wired. However, I wanted it to be hard-wired. I never asked them to put a remote control on the wall. It would have been nicer if they had asked me whether I wanted the switches to be hard-wired or just be remote control before doing so.
Anyway, after the guy came to fix the problem (frequency problem), another ceiling fan they installed in the other room started to have the same problem. This time, too, they came to our house to change the frequency of the remote for us. However, it didn't fix the problem, so I called them again and told them about it, but they said that it would probably be the ceiling fan, not the remote that has the problem, and after that, Johnny told me that he would be calling me back, but he never did.
So, I had to call another electrician and had him change the frequency again. This fixed the problem. The ceiling fan is working fine now for the last one month, so it was NOT the ceiling fan that had the problem.
I appreciate that they came twice to try to fix the problem, but I wished they had returned my call when I had the same problem again right after (like 10 minutes after) their second visit.

Made an appointment and Johnny showed up on time. He was able to troubleshoot the problem quickly and recommend the appropriate solution. There were no unnecessary charges or tricks to rack up the fees: very honest and great quality work. I would not trust any other electrician to work on my house. Johnny be good!
This is the second time we have called Johnny Electric and again he was quick to respond, showed up on time. He and Jesse then returned 2 days later to add the 210 line. Price is great, work done is great.
I needed to put a ceiling fan in my extra room and also correct the wiring on another one. Johnny always answered his phone and helped me with a quote and changing my service time around for me...very accommodating. They did a great job, explained everything to me, and came in lower than the other companies I called (and some didn't even return the calls). Usually can do the job that week...

We had multiple lights in my parents house that would not light up: two downstairs and one upstairs. We called multiple electricians based on Yelp reviews. Johnny Electric gave us the lowest quote. We scheduled him for the morning of the Christmas Eve. Johnny and Scott showed up on time and did the job quickly and professionally. They took off their shoes and only put their shoes on the tarp that they brought in themselves. In an hour and half, he repaired all three lights as well as rewirde the ceiling fan to ensure it's safe. I mentioned about Yelp and he gave us a discount right on the spot. We couldn't be happier with Johnny's service. He is definitely our electrician of choice for the future.
Johnny Electric deserves the highest praise possible. Over the years, we have had ongoing problems with our Cox cable wiring--a wire in the wall actually broke apart when a Cox technician was yet again trouble-shooting. Several electricians we called weren't knowledgeable enough or weren't interested in even coming out as the wiring went through an attic. Johnny came to our house for an estimate--arriving on time on the pre-arranged date. He relieved all our anxiety over the complexity of the problem and assured us it could be resolved. He also made a suggestion on how to improve our signal by installing an electrical outlet in the attic and relocating the booster. Johnny and Jessie showed up to do the work on time. They were very professional and did excellent work. Another one of Johnny's workers, Don, also showed up at the end. All three of them were courteous and conscious of avoiding doing damage or spreading dirt (they were in a dirty attic and also had to bring tall ladders upstairs and around corners). After they completed laying new wire--without cutting open walls as others suggested--there was still a problem with our signal. Johnny called Cox and spent time (which he didn't charge for ) trying to resolve the issue and ultimately arranged for Cox to come out immediately. Johnny agreed to hold off depositing our check to see the outcome with Cox. The Cox technician --as Johnny assured us they would-- resolved the remaining issues. The worker from Cox indicated that Johnny's work was well done and professional. His work was not the cause of the signal problem. I would highly recommend Johnny Electric. Johnny and his workers are professional, knowledgeable and honest. The rates are very reasonable. It should be noted that per prior agreement, Cox was reimbursing us for the costs of laying new wire behind the walls. Johnny knew about this but didn't take advantage by charging a higher rate. Please note this is only the second review I have ever posted--the other being on Trip Advisor for a resort in Thailand that went beyond all expectations in aiding us in an emergency.
