Brandon began working for his father's residential electrical construction company at the age of 14 during the summers in between school. After college, Brandon received sales experience working for a company distributing architectural products. In July of 2009, Brandon acquired his C-10 electrical license, established Armor Electric and began building relationships with both property management companies, commercial tenants, and residential clients. Randy, the owner came by to see why my Tesla was charging at only 7 miles an hour instead of 30. Randy quickly discovered that the charger box was unplugged from the cord by about half. He immediately noticed that the T on the Tesla charger box was red instead of green. He was here less than 10 minutes and charged nothing because he fixed it so quickly and easily. I would not hesitate to use this company for any electrical needs.

Just hired Randy and his team again for a small job. Didn't bother calling anyone else.
Came early, protected the house and work areas and cleaned up after...I mean really cleaned up. The entire neighborhood. An Orkin employee must have left their binder on the roof and left paper scattered on our street. The foreman (Junior) helped me pick it up without even asking.

A little over a month ago I contacted
Armor Electric for an estimate and I talked to Randy and he was very upfront with me about his company availability and the cost that it would cost. Since we were not in a hurry for this particular project we scheduled it. Randy and I stayed in contact with each other to see if we could arrange something if it came up. On the day of our appointment Randy called me to inform me what time and who was coming to our house. The electrician came and executed the job he was hired to do and also he did go over the scope and the best way to achieve what we wanted.
Randy, Junior and Charles is a great team. Randy was personable, honest and professional. Tons of knowledge on what works and wouldn't work when you want electrical work done. Excellent pricing and quick to respond.
Junior and Charles were patient, master's at their craft and did an amazing job. Both were down to earth and can easily strike a long conversation. Went above and beyond and cleaned up the work after they were done and showed up half hour ahead of the scheduled start time.
Hired Randy and team to install a ton of LED recessed lights, backyard flood lights, patio ceiling fan, replace two hanging lights, pendant lights and more. Everything came out perfect and job well done. They asked lots of questions to ensure we were happy with the placements and provided their recommendation. They did such a great job the first time and returned for a second job and another planned for the fall.
On another note, day 2 on the job and I caught Covid and subsequently my wife and kids caught it so we had to delay the work until we were fully recovered and they were patient, understanding and flexible to work around their busy schedule to complete the work.

Shopped around and Randy had the best price around for a main electrical panel upgrade. The only company that actually came out in person for an estimate. They upgraded our main panel and installed an EV charger and a few extra electrical outlets. Happy with all the work they did. Thanks Randy and Junior.

It is incredibly difficult to find a reliable, truthful electrician and it feels like it got ten times harder since COVID. Fortunately, I found Armor Electric. I 100% recommend Randy and his team to everyone and anyone looking for a skilled electrician. They put in a 240v plug for our electric stove and one in the garage for the electric car. The plug in the kitchen was brand new so they did all the wiring from the main box to the kitchen. The work is beautiful. The plug in the garage was from an existing old plug in the laundry room. They upgraded it to the correct plug for free so we wouldn't have to use a converter.
This work took about 4.5 hours. And best of all they were able to schedule is within 2 weeks, which is exactly out time frame.
I'm super happy with their work and professionalism.
Randy is so professional. He showed up when he said that he would and was very punctual. He operates Armor Electric with integrity. He came out and emailed me a written estimate for all that we wanted. Hie workers did an excellent job and we'll definitely use Armor Electric again!!!
Although this review is 1 1/2 months late, I wanted to praise Randy and his team at Armor Electric for a job well done and great experience overall.
I hired AE to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage. From the moment I reached out, Randy was courteous and responsive. Even though I sent him a video of my breaker and location of install, Randy came out to my house to assess the situation and explain what his team would need to do. He was the only company that went out of his way to come out in person. After getting a few other quotes, I decided on AE. The only drawback I'd call out is that they're booked solid. So the next availability they had was about a month out. This was ok with me since my install wasn't urgent.
The day before the installation Randy reached out to confirm the time they'd be arriving. The day of, installation went smoothly. Randy's team was respectful and meticulous with their work. After a few hours the job was completed and it came out exactly as we planned. I would absolutely recommend and use AE for any future electrical projects!
We used Armor Electric just before the holidays as half the power to our home had gone out and it didn't appear to be a fuse or breaker issue. Armor sent Junior over to our a house a few days before Christmas which in itself was a relief to not have to go through the holidays with no power. Junior was amazing and thoroughly worked on identifying what was causing the power failure. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, the electrician was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. Where I'm sure other electricians would have given up, Junior went above and beyond to identify and find a hidden electrical box in our wall from the previous owner, which we did not know was there, and which was causing the issue and a safety concern. Junior's attention to detail was impressive and he made sure to thoroughly explain any potential issues and provide solutions. Junior was prompt and respectful of our home, and left the work area clean and tidy. I highly recommend this electrician to anyone in need of electrical services. They truly exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be using them again in the future. And special thank you to Junior who saved Christmas ;)

Worked with Randy to set up appointment and discuss the issues we were experiencing. The guys showed up on time, quickly troubleshooted and fixed our issues. Pricing up front and fair with no shenanigans.
Second time we have used them and they did a great job both times. Very professional, prompt and knowledgeable. I thought the prices were very reasonable and would definitely recommend them for any work you need done.
Outstanding team! Couldn't be happier with the results. They added a couple of outlets, fixed some light switches, and helped with some other electrical issues we were having. If you want it done right the first time choose these guys.

Can't recommend this company enough. First of all, the owners are second/third generation electricians. Randy, who's dad was an electrician back in the 60's was very responsive when I requested a quote. Randy answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns, especially when another local electrician told me the job couldn't be done due to my electric panel's age and number of breakers. Junior and Jesse showed up for the job on time, were professional and did an outstanding job installing my Tesla charger. Pricing was more than fair and I couldn't be happier with the install. I will definitely be using Armor for any future projects.

Straight up a pleasure to work Randy - no up selling and genuinely wanted to help. I needed a repair on my old house built in 1930 so providing a quote unseen is a challenge, but Randy reassured that he felt comfortable that it could be done within my budget. I called Randy at Armor Electric because I had used them once before for a minor issue and they were great. This time I needed a new electric outlet put in for a new range that I had purchased. Junior arrived right on time and was able to install the outlet in a short time and kept the cost down. I was very pleased. Unfortunately we had to have him back to move it down when it turned out the specs on the range were incorrect. Junior was pleasant as always. My husband talked to Randy and they worked out a fair price for the adjustment. I would highly recommend them for prompt, professional and friendly service.

We received great customer service. Needed to replace 30 year old built in smoke detectors. They arrived on time and were very professional. They quickly replaced all the original detectors and tested everything to ensure proper operation. Would definitely recommend Armor Electric for any electrical repair

Armor Electric is the go to place for any electrical project. I needed an EV outlet installed, but my electrical panel was on the opposite side of my home. They provided expert advice on how to achieve the line run. Randy and crew (Junior and Jesse) are knowledgable, reliable, personable and reputable. A job well done. Thank you so much!
They installed a charger for our plug-in hybrid. They were professional, courteous and reliable. They worked within a quick turnaround during a Pandemic surge and helped facilitate quick permit approvals. Their communication was excellent, I always knew what was happening and when. Their pricing was competitive. Their knowledge and the quality of their work is This Old House level. Simply, a great experience. I would definitely hire them again.
If you need to convert to 240 volts to install EV charger, no need to waste your time calling around (like I did) and just call the father and son outfit at Armor. My job was a little more tricky because my breaker was upstairs and they had to snake the wires through walls and feed it downstairs to the garage. They also did a very nice job cutting out the drywall and providing the pieces for me to use later to repatch.
The installation of the EV charger and outlet box was phenomenal. They used a leveler to make sure that the outlet box was aligned to the wall and on the EV charger to make sure it was perfectly aligned to the outlet box. I'm sure most electricians may have eyeballed it and said good enough but these guys made sure it was precise. I really appreciated the level of detail in their workmanship...and it really showed throughout the installation process.
And even before starting the job when they came out for the estimate, they helped me figure out my load calculation so that I had enough watts/amps. This helped me to identify whether I should purchase a 24 amp or 40 amp charger. To save money, they recommended that I go to Fullerton city hall myself and apply for the permit. Because I had already done the load calculation, it was super easy to go to the city and apply for the permit.
Again, great workmanship, super friendly, and really helpful to someone like me that had no clue how to get an EV charger installed. I totally recommend to anyone looking to convert to 240 volts to install an EV charger.

Brandon and Randy came out to install a Tesla Wall Connector and 2 x NEMA 14-50 outlets. I chose them because they are licensed and insured and provide help in getting city permits. I didn't want to take a chance of not being covered by my insurance in the event that an accident occurs and wanted everything to be properly documented.
Randy helped with the planning based on my needs and the install day went smooth because of that. I wanted the option to charge two vehicles outside and have the peace of mind that the chargers are in a safe place to avoid tampering and environments damage.
Their work is clean, no short cuts, and all quality parts were used. They took the time to go over the plans before starting and they were very patient in answering questions. They were open to changes and creative in coming up with solutions to meet my needs.

We were given Armor Electrics information from our neighbor who has done so many projects over the last 10 years with them. Our neighbors went on and on and on about how incredible this team was and every word was true. We had called a few other companies and had horrible experiences so we were looking for someone we could trust. We needed our old 1962 100 Amp power box replaced and a brand new 200 Amp put in on a new wall. That means all of the wires needed to be moved... needless to say - A LOT of work. Randy and his team made us feel confident and they got the job done like PROS. My husband and I are both working long hours from home and they got the job done without disrupting our jobs or our power! We are blown away by how fast and efficient they were. The two men Craig and Jr who were here were incredible! They were so professional and they show up on time - they are the nicest guys and went above and beyond with their woJust like our neighbor we will be using them for all of our electrical projects immediately! They are now going to install new can lights and dimmers and switches all over the house. Do NOT WASTE your time calling any other companies!!! We did!!! We shopped around - we wasted so much time!!! Needing to find an Electrician to do a big job at my daughter's new house, I searched the internet. Armor Electric was one of the local companies I called for an estimate. Randy was responsive to my request for a quote, prompt to our appointment time, friendly, very knowledgeable and competitively priced. Given the size of our job, I corresponded a lot with Randy prior to the job even starting. He was always available to answer my questions and suggestions options. When the 4 day job started, I met Junior who was equally as accommodating and knowledgeable, not to mention doing top notch work. These guys are great! Randy came out as I was looking to get a generator switch installed on the house. They offer a great service and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend them and will be going to them for future electrical needs!
We finally decided to have all those electrical issues around the house taken care of. Called Armor Electric and Randy made an appointment to stop by and look at our project. He gave me a very reasonable detailed quote and we scheduled the work. I was telling Randy that are double oven stopped working and the appliance repair man said we needed a new one as it would throw the circuit breaker when we would turn it on. Randy suggested he open the electrical connection in the cabinet to see if that was an issue and sure enough the connections that were made by the installer over 10 years ago had come loose and nearly started a fire. Randy grabbed his tool bag and in 10 minutes had the connections back up to par and the oven now works like new. Heck that saved us nearly $3000 not to mention waiting several months for a new oven because of the pandemic. Junior and his apprentice Jesse arrive right on time and got to work. We had a new timer box installed for our Christmas lights, a new exhaust fan installed in the bathroom and several outlets replaced around the house that were just worn out. We had a newer smart TV rehung in our guestroom and best of all a new 75 Roku TV hung in our patio YEAH! They installed a heavy duty bracket to the exterior wall that I ordered and an outlet there to plug the TV and Dish receiver into ( by the way dish makes a wireless connection to a TV for our hopper system that we are using). It was one long day but those hard-working guys got it finished.

Bought my Tesla 3 on 23rd of December ,2018 for taking advantage of the full 7500 tax rebate program. I was in need for an level 2 charging station in my garage, my house locate right in the middle of Orange and LA county. Brandon and his father Randy showed up on time, give me estimation over Yelp, and I posted a video showing what I want to get done, where I want the charger install.
Everything was smooth, on top of that, for the same jobs 4 months down the road, which was only a couple of days ago, I needed to grab some paper work from them for EV charger rebate and Randy provided all necessary paperwork for applying southern California Edison EV charger rebate program, they know the drill and I was able to get 500 dollars back!
Highly recommend, other electricians would over charge you because you drive an EV, not this father and son duo! They are honest and responsive, will do business again.

The Electrician arrived on time. He was kind, courteous and attentive to my parents. The job seemed to go smoothly. He did a good job. I scheduled the service on behalf of my parents. We had multiple outlets replaced, multiple hard wired smoke and CO2 detectors replaced, as well as one new ceiling fan installed.
I had Armor Electric come out to install a level 2 EV charger in my garage. From the initial quote and communication via yelp and text messages were smooth and professional. They were quick to respond to questions and flexible in my requests throughout the appointment and installation process. They were even generous enough to install and hang my level 2 charger. Installation was clean and overall satisfied with the work done!

Don't do it. Stop. Seriously. I did exactly what ur doing. Felt the way you're feeling. One, is there a company out there I can trust. Two, can I trust that these 5 star reviews are real.
Welp. They are. Damn Skippy. Without hesitation.
I reached out to the owner Brandon who was straight forward right away, said they were booked but would make an appointment for me as soon as possible convenient for both of us. For a minute, I thought he was using that Jedi mind trick, like a restaurant with a long line out front. Nope, his field manager Randy came to our home, early, assessed our problem and explained the whole process, from permits to completion. No upsell, no salesman bs, just great customer service.
But the work was even better. Junior, his lead guy/project mgr. was TOP notch. Fast, neat, efficient, took the time to explain WHY it happened, steps to avoid in the future, answered questions about future projects without, again, ANY upsell. And the work was even praised by the inspector.
They are great at what they do.
Long review but my peace of mind was worth the time.

Armor did a great job in 2017 fixing an electrical issue at home. This year (12/2018), I called on them again but this time to install a 240v line to my garage for EV charging.

I had to get the work permitted to satisfy the electric company rebate requirements. Randy walked me through the process, reviewed my docs and was very supportive.

I recently purchased a Tesla and needed the 14-50 outlet. I have asked and compared a lot of Electricians. I asked around not only the price but also about permit and other questions. Brandon was really patient and explained all the questions I have. His price is reasonable. The day of the installation he was on time. Good service and friendly workers. I had an outlet overheat and needed an electrician to come and remove and replace it safely. Armor was busy during the holidays, but they were over with a week or so to do the work. They were on time, and helpful. I would recommend their company and would use for other electrical work at our house.
Upfront and professional every step of the way. They exceeded my expectations of the work I wanted to get done. No hidden or misc fees. I'm beyond happy, my wife is happy... cause happy wife happy life right? I highly recommend to anyone needing work done, Brandon and Randy were just great from start to finish.
Randy came out and gave us an on-site estimate for the job. We wanted two carriage lights installed on the front of our garage and that required running conduits from the breaker box to a junction box, a timer and then to the lights. Randy scheduled two electricians to handle the job and they accomplished it as scheduled and at the price quoted. The timer turned out to have a hiccup in it and Randy was great about getting a replacement installed immediately. I would definitely use Armor Electric again and refer them to others.
We finally decided to put a ventilation fan in our master bathroom. Armor Electric was quick to respond and reasonably priced. The electrician that came out a few days later was very friendly, clean, wore a mask (COVID), and did a great job installing out new fan. No more looking into steamy mirrors!

Had these guys out to install a 240v receptacle and car charger. I was very pleased. These guys are honest, clean, and very competitive. This is a great team. They are professional, clean and respectful of your property. They were here for 3 days doing outside lighting and garage lights. When they were done there were a few things they were unable to do and a few things that were added. Randy is so honest he actually lowered the price from our original quote. You don't get that kind of customer service anymore! It's great to know there are still honest, hardworking people out there and I'm happy to endorse them.
Armor Electric did a great job at our home in September 2018. They replaced outlets, installed recessed LED lighting, installed ceiling fans including some new installations, and replaced exhaust fans in our restrooms. They did a great job! They were clean, on schedule and a pleasure to have in our home. I will and have recommended them to neighbors and friends & family and I will use them again in a heartbeat.

The project turned out great and I added them to my list of of companies to work with again in the future. In 2015 I wanted to add some exterior lighting in my back yard and needed some additional plugs added in the Eve's and a new switch added in the home to control, again their price was reasonable, their work was exceptional and I was very happy with the end result. Most recently I started on a kitchen and bathroom remodel and I wanted to add some new can lighting and additional plugs in both areas. Brandon came out and suggested LED cans in the kitchen and retrofitted a few others to match the LED we were putting in. In the kitchen I had an issue where we always had to unplug the coffee pot or the toaster to plug our phones in and Brandon immediately said he had a great solve for my problem, a plug with two USB ports and two regular plugs! I now have the brightest kitchen and bath with the best technology and couldn't be happier with my experience over the years. I highly recommend Armor electric to anyone who has future electric needs!

I priced about 6 companies total (yes I go a bit overboard, but I'm a analyst) but armor was the only one that showed up on time and gave me a great price for the work I needed. While doing the job they found that the previous owner had done some work that was very dangerous and could have started a fire. They fixed the wiring for free! Was very impressed with them and will definitely use them again.
For a summary of the work they performed- They replaced my recessed florescent lights in my kitchen with led can lights, put in 3 ceiling fans, and retrofitted my can lights in my living room with LED bulbs.

I highly recommend using Armor Electric. Brandon and Randy are the nicest, finest men you will ever meet. I showed Brandon the two areas of repair that I needed fixed. One repair area was the wiring to an attic fan . The second location was a GFI that is located under an outdoor BBQ. This GFI was in a difficult location and controlled four other receptacles. This J-box was a wiring mess. These locations were two very difficult places to gain access.
Brandon sized up the two problems and can up with an efficient plan. He made sure that the work was done quickly and correctly so to economize the labor charge. I noticed that he was working in my best interest and not trying to lengthen the time on location. I liked that a lot.
Brandon and Randy gave me an appointment within two days and were on time. I am sure they would have come sooner if either of my jobs were pressing. But I only asked that they schedule a day that was convenient, time was not as important for these issues. They only charged me the price of a service call. Nice Job!

Finally got fed up with Randy's unproffessionalism. If you can't fix something, it's normal to move on to a more experienced tradesmen. Also, if you don't like bad reviews, be better.

Really great service. Gregory showed up on time, was very knowledgeable, and very efficient. Highly recommend them for any job big or small.
We called armor electric to upgrade our panel along with adding a sub panel in the garage. Nice clean work. We called them again when we had to move a ceiling fixture that was on a 16' ceiling. Again great clean work. We will call the, again if we ever need an electrician.

Armor Electric did a wonderful job installing 3 ceiling fans in our vaulted ceilings. They were accommodating to our schedule and great to work with. They were able to install the fans with minimal dry wall damage to the ceilings only. I would definitely recommend them!
This is a great, family owned and operated company. We have used them several times and have been VERY happy!! The come early or on-time, they are friendly, take care with the project and clean up after.

I initially contacted Armor through a bidding system offered by Yelp. They contacted me immediately and offered a fair price to install a 240v outlet for my new car. They set an appointment for 10:30 the next morning, they showed up at 10:20 and was prepared to work. The price they charged was as quoted, they left a clean and professional job. I was so impressed I brought them back for an electrical problem where the lights would flicker in my house. They diagnosed on the spot and repaired the problem several days later when I returned form the holidays. Again, they were professional, on time, well priced, courteous. They are the best I have seen in the electrical field, I would gladly use them again. I have since referred them to 2 friends.

I had messaged for a quote to change a 240v outlet to a 120v after converting an electric range to a gas range. The quote was in line with most other electricians in the area, but they offered an appointment the day before we were set to move into the house. The initial appointment was set up, but was cancelled approximately two hours before the appointed time. They managed to squeeze us in the following Monday, and they completed the job as requested, but I'm still not very pleased that there was no concession made from missing the initial appointment.
Randy and his team were fantastic. Highly knowledgeable, honest, and works with you and your budget to get everything you need. Highly recommended.
We want to give high praise to Brandon and his services. Randi returned our phone call on a Saturday morning within one hour of leaving a message. We scheduled an appointment for Monday at noon and everything worked as planned. Brandon called indicating he was on his way so that my husband could come home from work at that time. He was able to resolve our issue within one hour and fifteen minutes.

I'm very happy I chose Armor Electric after searching online and checking their website. Randy & Brandon are a family run business for 3 generations so I knew they had to be honest & reliable to be around so long and I wanted someone local.
Randy arrived on time and I told him my problems and he set to work fixing things and explaining what was wrong. After working on the circuit breaker he came inside to fix a ceiling fan and was able to diagnose the problem and fix it quickly. When the job was done I knew I made the right choice with Armor Electric. The price was fair and Randy (the dad) was honest and knowledgeable and courteous.
