If I could give 0 stars, I would. The review here goes out to the service tech, Damian, and their customer support rep, Kate. Enjoy.
We own a small fitness studio in SoMa, San Francisco. We had an emergency main line plumbing leak issue come up on a Saturday, so I called a few options and 24/7 came out to check the problem. After first telling me it was going to cost over $700 to even diagnose the issue (pull up toilet and put camera in main line), we were able to negotiate it down to $500. Annoying, but not a day-ruiner. After about an hour, Damian comes back with the camera and starts investigating the issue.
After pinpointing exactly where the main line pipe was cracked, he told us the repair would cost around $3,800 if we did it during the day, or $5,000+ for an evening repair. His exact words were, We are a 1-stop shop! We do the concrete excavation and filling; we do everything. I let him know we have classes during the day, and we NEVER cancel them (they are our bread and butter, and the reason we can eat and live in San Francisco). Because the issue was critical, I made certain the company could start work on the following Monday (we decided to go the day route, because an evening fix wasn't guaranteed until Wed or Thurs). And, because Damian and his customer support personally guaranteed the work would start on Monday, we canceled 5 classes for the day (over $1,000 in lost revenue). That's how important this fix was to us.
On Sunday (the next day), I received a call from Damian around 8:30am asking if he could come out again with his boss to confirm the scope of work etc. I said of course, no problem. I met with both Damian and his boss that afternoon, they confirmed the work and said, We'll see you tomorrow morning at 8:30am! Excellent, right?
Now it's Monday. I receive a call from Kate, their customer support rep, 30 minutes before the work was scheduled to start, notifying me the work could NOT start until our floor was removed and that we should seek out a contractor to do that. Remember, we had already canceled 5 classes, lost over a $1,000 in revenue, and she called me 30 MINUTES before the work was scheduled to start. She told me her boss gave her this instruction (the same boss who I saw the day prior). I asked to speak to the boss, she said no. I tried contacting Damian, no response.
I was absolutely livid.
A week later, we finally get a trusted plumber to complete the work for us, when we discovered it wasn't the main line pipe at all. In fact, it was only the toilet line. To be honest, I understand these issues are hard to diagnose, but having no integrity and screwing over a small business owner? That's not hard to diagnose at all.
So disappointed.
