Critter Tech is a family owned business. As a relatively young company, we strive to be the best. Critter Tech was formed by professional, licensed technicians that have spent years in the industry working side by side with a former scientist from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). As years passed, it became obvious that the rodent and pest populations were only getting worse and there was a demand for an innovative approach to an old and ongoing problem. It was apparent that not only was there a need for professionals with knowledge of rodents and pests, but a diverse background in the construction industry as well, which plays a vital role in the successful remedy and resolution of infestation issues. Whether you have one rodent or hundreds, we have plenty of techniques and strategies that were created and executed with outstanding results.

Absolutely Fantastic, worth every penny. I would not hesitate to hire this company again!
We had been dealing with a vermin problem in the wall of our bathroom for about 6 months and had gone through 3 different exterminators trying to get rid of them. We've endured the sounds of them at night, the smell of them rotting in the wall (we were told the poison prevented them from smelling as the decomposed-wrong). The plague of flies that comes after there death. etc...
Scott came out and walked the property, the day after making the initial call, looking for evidence of where they were entering. Within 30 minutes he had diagnosed the problem and stated you have a hole in your vent pipe in the bathroom wall. Before tearing out the wall he suggested doing a smoke test.
Two days latter his team was at the house doing the smoke test and verified there was a hole in the vent pipe. They then began to open up the wall and did so in such a way that every bit of trim/decorative board could be reused.
And there it was, the hole in the pipe they were coming through. Cleaned out the dead rats in the wall. The nest they had made and got rid of the odor. Absolutely fantastic and my only complaint was I wish I had found them earlier.
Critter Tech is without a doubt, the very best service in Arizona! We live in Scottsdale and California and I am petrified of scorpions and snakes. I let Scott know my fears from the get go and he has made sure my fears would not be enhanced by seeing those horrific creatures in my home. A few weeks ago, we had an issue with a squirrel getting into the house through the pipes and once again, Scott to the rescue. He is always so thorough and positive. Above all he is very patient with my overwhelming fear of any type of critter. He is truly the best! Don't waste your time going to anyone else. Critter Tech is simply the very best!
I was chatting with a friend recently and recommended that she give Critter Tech a call. We had their service for a number of years, until we moved and they did a fantastic job keeping the house free of pests. Every few weeks, they came out and sprayed the house and yard. There was never any chemical odor, just the results of having no crawling things that the desert climate is known for. Anyway, I recommend this company for their good service, and having a house that didn't have pests. They sprayed for fleas, scorpions, sewer roaches and spiders and we had none of them. I'm happy to recommend this company to my friends, they do what you hire them to do.

Although all reviews are for rodent exclusion, and business description states they do rodent work, they apparently no longer do this type of work.
Ok so I hesitated posting this due to the somewhat embarrassing subject matter. But I decided to do so not only for fellow Yelpers but also for the guys at Critter Tech. We had rats in our yard. :( First time since we've lived here in the past 10 years. I'm guessing they made their way from our neighbors roof as I know they've had issues. Whatever the case, we ended up with rats! First I dumped a couple hundred bucks into various rat extermination products from Home Depot. None worked. So after a lot of research and checking reviews, I decided to give CT a shot. They've been awesome and their service works!! Whatever they use in those boxes, the rats love it and the few times we've seen rats, they're short lived. Literally. Thank you Critter Tech!
I called and requested Critter Tech to come out and help me seal up my house to keep mice out. Within a week Jason came ON TIME and walked inside and out searching for entrances. He was very knowledgeable and completely honest on what needed to be done. I really appreciated his tips and tutorial on the safe way to set a trap. I will absolutely call on Critter Tech when the need arises.
I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review on these guys. Have had them out to my historic home for sewer roaches (gross) and they are outstanding! I've had incredible customer service from the booking to the tech. Latest tech (Scott) was awesome!! Would highly recommend.
I've been using these guys for over a year to deal with continual squirrel problems. They ALWAYS call me back and setup an appointment at a reasonable time. The techs are professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. It has been a battle dealing with this issue but they definitely stay committed to doing what it takes. I really couldn't ask more from a company. Thank you Critter Tech.
I hired Critter Tech, and did not get the standard of service others received. We were left with three holes in the wall, which did not address the actual problem.
That said, they contacted me to fix the wall and have made a sincere effort to rectify the situation. They'll be by shortly to finish up painting. I appreciate the efforts they've made to make things right.
Awesome company. I'm always amazed and surprised to meet small businesses who are honest with integrity these days. I had a dead something trapped in my master closet (I have experience from previous house) but before I had it done, Critter Ridder did a comprehensive attic and exterior inspection to find the problem. He was professional, punctual, knowledgeable and honest. I've dealt with so many shady technicians who are just salesmen in dirty uniforms; but not Critter Ridder. He wrote up his estimate, explained it in detail and gave me to option to either proceed with the house proofing or take my time and decide on my own time. Zero pressure. Zero gimmick. I told him I need to think before making a decision and he said alright!. None of those but if you sign up TODAY you save $ sale pitches..
I will most likely go ahead with them but couldn't' wait to write a review to praise the good honest work this company does. I will followup with an update once we're done with the proofing process.
We have been using Critter Tech for YEARS. Initially we hired them to trap disgusting roof rats. They solved that problem like champs! Then we had a wood pecker. Critter Tech to the rescue! When we started chatting further they told me about their pest control! I left Sexton after being a regular for 10 years and I wouldn't look back! I have had Critter Tech treat my houses for over 7 years and never ONCE have I regretted it! They are honest, professional, on time, friendly, efficient and AFFORDABLE! Pests of any kind are no issue for them! (And NO I wasn't solicited to write this review. I was looking up their contact info for another friend and noticed I haven't shared my honest feedback to the people!!! Just CALL THEM, you will NOT be disappointed!)
Ran in to a couple of there techs on the road. I was given some cards to call in for service. I called in for service and the customer service rep stated he could not service me due to my location. I live probably 25 mins from there shop. Craziest thing I ever heard. My zip is 85302 and there 85032
Critter Ridder did a great job in helping us solve a tough problem with roof rats. The rats initially got into the attic, then a crawl space, and eventually the house. I set a bunch of traps myself, but the problem wasn't getting solved.
Critter Ridder quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and found how the rats were getting into the house. They were also very prompt and great to work with. My significant other said I've never met anyone who knows so much about rats! They placed the traps in the right places and sealed everything up. It's now been nearly a month with no rats, and we are very happy about that.
There was a misunderstanding re: inspection and billing policy i spoke with them and they were very fair and reasonable. Jason was quite thorough and excellent when he came to inspect our pack rat problem i highly recommend Critter Tech!

We recently moved into an old home last winter and have been battling a roof rat problem since day one. (We could also see that previous owners had traps and equipment they left us, so who knows how long this has really been going on.) Originally, we were working with a previous company who did fantastic work, but we were ultimately stumped at how they were still getting into the wall in one part of the house. That company referred us to Critter Tech and they were able to come out to the house only a few days later. They sent Jason out to look at the house and upon further inspection he was able to locate the exact problem. He was quick, efficient and cleaned up is work space after. Needless to say he solved our roof rat mystery in about 20 minutes and we couldn't be more thrilled. These guys really are pro's and I would recommend them to anyone!!
Wow. these people Ty and Destine saved a bird trapped 20 feet in my chimney. They worked for over an hour and delivered a live bird and then secured the opening so it never happens again. Can not say enough about critter Tech.
I was battling rats in my attic since we bought this house, almost 2 years ago. Arcadia is roof rat central in Phoenix, so I was about accept our cohabitants forever. After an unsuccessful attempt from those guys that drive the mouse car (you know who you are), I finally called Critter Ridder. After 10 minutes of the free inspection, they knew what the problem was. The 'other guys' quoted me $1200 with NO guaranty, but Critter Ridder fixed my attic rat problem with one visit, for $200. If you have roof rats in Phoenix, don't call anyone but Critter Ridder.
CritterTech is an amazing company! We called one day for a roof rat problem and Jason showed up the next morning at 7:30 am. (He showed up when he said he would which is uncommon in today's service world!) Within 20 minutes, he had identified the source of the problem and set away to remediate the source. Within one hour of his arrival, Jason reviewed the work that had been done, found the source, repaired the open pipe, located and removed the decaying rat, and cleaned up the work area. Unbelievable!! And the price he charged was incredibly reasonable. He is extremely knowledgeable about roof rats and very logical and efficient in his problem solving. Hats off to Critter Tech and Jason!
So I thought I rented the perfect house. A very cute/old farm house in the historical district. Then I discovered the place had roaches/ratts.....Big time, and the land lord wasn't willing to do anything about it. I thought I was gonna have to back out. Then a neighbor recommended Critter Ridder of AZ. I now sleep better for it. They were on time, very professional, and half the price I expected to pay. This house is livable again thanks to these guys. No BS, No up selling. Awesome.
Emailed them because we have heard scratching noises in a wall in our house. They called back, asked for my zip code, then told me that they don't come out for rats. I asked him how he knew they were rats without looking. He attempted to make assumptions. I clarified that they would not come out to look, even though I have seen their trucks in my neighborhood. He stated that they only come out for gophers. What an intellectual conversation!

I have a flat roof, therefore, no attic space. I heard activity in my master bathroom around the vents; it worked it's way around to the front of the house and decided it liked it there best. I had recommended this company to a neighbor of mine, who was completely satisfied with them. I would have used them initially as well except the cost he told me they ended up spending was around $650!! WHOA!! And double WHOA!! That included, I understand, trapping, smoking ($250), eradicating, repairing the drywall that had to be cut and painting. So I went with another company initially. That company set bait stations, which to me meant the animal could eat the poison and go somewhere to die. UGHHH!! if that somewhere to die location happened to be in my ceiling area. (Remember the flat roof??) I had a problem a few years ago where a couple of dead rats fell down my dryer vent. I covered all of the vents on my roof -- except one that was hard to get the hood off; therefore, I didn't cover it. Fast forward a couple of years and I hear the activity mentioned above. I did the bait stations a few days and decided it was for the birds and I bit the bullet and called CritterTech. Jason, one of the owners came out. Looked at my vents. Set a few traps around the vents at no cost. He told me I could check the traps myself and reset them or the company could do it, which I gather they only come out once or twice a week. Maybe once? I figured I was going to check them once or twice a day so I'd do it myself. I did that for a couple of weeks and I could still hear something. I called and had them do the smoke test. Scott, the co-owner, and his sidekick came out. Luckily, there were no breaches so it was a matter of resetting the traps and being patient. I was patient and my patience paid off. I hear nothing now -- knock on wood big time!!! -- so I covered the one remaining uncovered vent and hope never to have that problem again. And, yes, I caught a total of five or six rats, but who's counting. Being a Realtor, I am called on to refer vendors. Will I be recommending CritterTech again? You betcha. In fact, I had referred them to check on a house I had listed where I could hear activity in the ceiling.
Had a great experience with Scott and Jason from Critter Ridder. I have had previous problems with rats in both my attics. I heard noises in my bedroom. I called Scott the next day. He sent Jason out to inspect my house. He found no signs of rodent activity. He explaned everything in a easy to understand way. Jason did not charge me for the inspection. As a business owner for over 30 years. I can appreciate Scott and Jasons professionalism. I would definitely recomend Critter Ridder.
This guy is amazing. We figured we had a rat when we saw chewed plastic crates in our garage. Jason came out (at the agreed-upon time), looked all around and told us it was probably just a single rat who got into our garage and couldn't get out. Even pointed out the little rat footprints in dust in the garage. He put down 2 traps baited with peanut butter and told us to keep checking them. A few days later we found our huge gangster rat dead in one of the traps. 6 months later and Jason was correct, it seems to have been just the one rat (knock on wood). Jason didn't even charge us for the service. I've recommended Critter Tech to everyone who mentions they might have roof rats, top notch business.
Jason from critter tech came out this morning to help us with a roof rat problem. He was on time and extremely nice and personable, explained everything so I could understand. He did a very thorough inspection of our home, and found an entry point that we were unaware of and had not expected. Since my husband is a plumbing contractor, there are certain things he can do himself without having to call a professional, and Jason was very forthcoming about this, giving us advice and not trying to upsell us services we did not need. We were very grateful for this and would absolutely recommend them and use them again. Thanks Jason and critter tech!

Having a rat show up in your house is an unnerving and upsetting experience. After some investigation, including on Yelp, we chose CritterTech and we are SO GLAD we did. They are an amazing company in every way. They are totally professional; their knowledge of rats and rat behavior is impressive; they are punctual at every turn, and perhaps most important, they are thorough and thoroughly dedicated to ridding the house of the infestation. When one sees what they do, how they go about doing it, and the extensiveness of their efforts and concern, it is surprising how reasonable their fees are. The whole undertaking (of getting rid of the rat, sealing the house, and determining points of egress and ingress) cost far less than what we had imagined. We thoroughly recommend them.
I couldn't recommend this place to anyone. The receptionist was rude and frankly I'd use use stronger language in private. Ignorant of nearly anything I asked and when I requested a supervisor I was hung up on. Use Az Pest Squad. Much better service.
We were lucky enough to have Chad Little come out and get to work. This isn't a padded review..I don't know these guys.. and don't post a ton of reviews.. in fact this might be my first. Being from the East coast... I've got this thing about scorpions. For whatever reason I think of them like burglars... because if you've ever had someone break into your house you'll know that it jacks up your comfort from then on .. for a while. Same with me and the scorps. So these guys had a nice web site.. I gave them points for their playful business name...and they seemed to have everything I needed in terms of services.
Chad came out.. for a blacklight service..where they hunt the little jerks with a blacklight... and make them go away. Scheduled for 8:30 he called me at 7:30 hoping to come and get started on treating the place. My questions was won't that scare them all off and not let you catch them all when it DOES get dark he answers.. no actually its better this way because the pesticides make them uncomfortable where they lay and even if they weren't in the mood to come out and play, they would be now.
He talked about using 5 different pesticides..time released and from what I know about laying chemicals he did everything right.
He found a couple dead scorpions.. a couple of black widows.. and then in the final hour (big property) he found one alive and kept it in a glass collection jar.
He came and showed it to me, like it was no big deal and his body language towards the things taught me that my nervousness about them and around them isn't all that warranted. He collects them (in a non creepy/nerdy way; thinks their bad ass looking etc)
All things said and done, he gave me tonsss of insider trader info on how to keep them away in the future with bug lights, and why and when they'd stick around. I think a couple hundred bux for peace of mind and more importantly, being able to view scorpions in a different way.. not as malicious pests but as bad ass little independent creatures just trying to survive, is well well worth it. Critter Ridders, confirmed a bunch, gave a nice invoice at the time of the service, a digital copy after. They are excellent and I will be using them for monthly treatments moving forward.
I had the unfortunate experience of seeing a rat disappear behind my refrigerator so I started setting traps back there myself.. Over the next few days, I realized I needed professional extermination. These rats were primarily in my outside laundry room but had worked their way into my kitchen. Gross. I called a few exterminators and even got a quote from a large local chain. They wanted a small fortune. So I turned to Yelp for help... That's where I found Critter Ridder. I am so glad I did. Jason came out to the house immediately and looked at what I had done so far and helped me set some traps. HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR HIS VISIT. After a few days of watching - and emptying - the traps, I realized I needed to bring Jason's guys out to the house again to do a smoke test on my pipes and have them professionally seal my home. Jake and his crew came out a few days later, did the smoke test and set some more traps. They were nice enough to let me check the traps myself, rather than sending their guys out, and gave me a huge discount for taking care of that part of the extermination myself. After a few weeks of rat catching, the traps remained empty. Then Jake and his guys came out again a sealed up my house so no more rats could get in. I really liked working with this company. They were professional, on time, and did a great job helping me with my infestation. Everyone from the first visit with Jason, to the subsequent visits from Jake, phone time with Scott or Jennifer was always a pleasant experience. When I got the final invoice along with a two year warranty, I noticed that CR had given me another discount. These guys are GREAT. I will use them from now on for all my extermination needs.
Critter Ridder did an excellent job for us on a tough problem. A squirrel had gotten into one of our interiror walls and died there, causing an awful smell in the house. We called Critter Ridder and they came out within hours. They found the squirrel using a tiny video camera attached to a long scope and removed it quickly. The smell immediately went away. Critter Ridder then came back out and sealed up the house so that no more rodents could get in the walls. They were fast, professional and very reasonably priced. Critter Ridder is a great company.
