Arizona Maintenance Service

I hired AZ Maintenance Service for some drywall work and couldn't have been more satisfied. The job was an insurance claim so I couldn't commit to the job until the quote was accepted by the insurance adjuster which exceeded the 30-day period of the quote, but they still honored the original quote. Patrick was the contractor who did the job and he is an artist with drywall. Very professional, very skilled, and very considerate. I had to stop him from cleaning up a mess left by my kids. The experience and communication was exceptional and I have been referring them to anyone who has asked me for any handyman job. You can't go wrong with them.

I initially found it amusing that their tagline was we fix everything in your home except your relationships. But after trying them out and having great experiences with several of their guys and someone that always answers the phone they really set themselves apart from other Handyman companies I've used.

Before I owned my own Handyman Business, we used Arizona Maintenance Service.
Since we had to close our business, we are back to using AZ maintenance. Janine is amazing!  Great communication.

We hired Arizona Maintenance Services to fix and finish a flooring job we had started. although the job presented more issues than originally known, Patrick did a fantastic job! We could not be happier with how great the floor looks. Patrick was super friendly and knowledgeable and we would highly recommend Arizona Maintenance Services.

I recently had Arizona Maintenance install a faucet,  remove can light, move light box, move wires to new location, fill old can light hole, texture and paint ceiling and hung chandelier. Glenn did a fabulous job. You cannot even tell where the repair was made in the ceiling. I would highly recommend AZ MAINTENANCE.

Well done when the second carpenter Nathan came out to fix and finish the closet the way it was supposed to be done.  This company is very accommodating and does not waste time in getting jobs done no matter what.  I do recommend Nathan a very good handyman.

Still waiting to hear back from this company. I reached out several times, but I did not get any reply. I'm sure they are great, but I did not get to see their work.

Mike and his team did an amazing job extending unused floor-space, to make an office for us in our condo. They also added LED lighting to our home and did an excellent job. On top of that, the team was even able to add a baby-gate, as well as attaching a shelf to a wall for us. Besides the superb work, everyone was commutative, neat and meticulous. We will not hesitate to use Arizona Maintenance Service in the future!

I had Arizona Maintenance Service come for the first time.  They removed my shutters to accommodate a new window installation the next day and then replaced them the day after the window was placed.  I worked with Jesus who was just a delight with a great personality.  He was timely, very neat with his work and respectful of my property.  He was extremely competent and I really cannot say enough about him and the organization of the company!  Highly recommend. Bam!  This company nailed it!  Patrick was awesome!  The whole company was so helpful start to finish!  100% hiring these guys again on another property!  Completely repaid some water damage and a leaky shower door.  Patrick totally did what he said he could do.  Also, he finished a tad early!  See you all on pur next property.

I was able to schedule a repairman within a week from my call.  Jesse arrived on time and provided a reasonable estimate for my job of recalibrating my shower cartridges, repairing my shower door and floor molding.  I highly recommend them.

John was great! Helped me design a project and completed it beautifully. Very professional, arrived on time, no surprises, and a really nice guy.

Amazing service and great value. Pat treated our home like it was his own. We had two TVs mounted and a dryer exhaust installed in our laundry room. I will be calling back for future projects.

Okay, so not only did Jesse show up on time (like, the EARLY end of the two hour window I was given), but when I told him I wanted him to do a TOTALLY different job than what I'd called him for, he didn't bat an eye.  He fixed 4 doors in just over an hour, charged me what felt like a VERY fair rate, and was respectful, courteous, and COVID-19 aware/safe.  

And then, just when I sat down to write this, he knocked at my door to come back in and caulk something he'd forgotten while he was in the throes of door-fixing.  He came back.  Do you know how awesome that is?

Seriously, I will not hesitate to call the folx here in the future, especially if they send me Jesse!

I requested a bid to replace 3 shelves in the garage and remove and dispose of some ceiling drywall.  They sent the bid for over $600 for the shelving.  Are you kidding?  If you're going to gouge somebody make sure they don't know what's involved.  I sent a request back requesting what their hourly rate is and if they were going to take the damaged drywall to the dump for the price they quoted.  They didn't specify that detail in their proposal.   I never got a response.  Bottom line is they weren't interested in the job so they jacked the price up.  Just say that you're not interested.  Now, I'll never call this outfit again.

This company and employees have the worst customer service. Because we have jobs and work, we couldn't meet them for an estimate until after 3. So after getting the attitude from them they schedule an appointment 3 weeks later. The day comes and of course there is no call and nobody showed up. The next day, 2 hours after I've left for work, a man shows up  at the door. My wife is getting ready to go to work and this person gets his arrogant attitude with her. She tells him he needs to call and talk to me. Well of course as this company operates, there is no call, there is no text message, there is nothing except this email yesterday afternoon saying the service is complete and please leave us a review. Really? You lying, arrogant, rude people  want a review. Well here you go.

They completely refuse to give a quote over email or the phone, but will only tell you in person (even if it's a basic faucet replacement). That way you can't comparison shop for the best deal. It's manipulative and shady.

Arizona Maintenance Service was AWESOME!! John S. came do some work for us and was very personal and knowledgable about many subjects and on his job. Very friendly and upbeat. Made a very comfortable impression. We will definitely call on him again if we need anything done!

If I could put a negative star rating I would. So unprofessional and lack of customer service between the owner and one of his employees. I was quoted a 1 week remodel that went into a 3 week process & wasn't even completed. my bathroom was/is left a mess and the answer was hire someone else to fix our mess. I was even referred to this company because of their excellent work on a previous remodel they did but NEVER again

Nathan did a wonderful job with my to do list. He assembled a desk, and a few other small jobs. Nathan was on time, very pleasant and professional.
I would highly recommend him as well as this company.

Mounted grab bars in my bath and did a quick, reasonable and secure job.  Very satisfied.

I called John at Arizona Maintenance Service last week to get an estimate to have my back fence painted and a stucco repair on my roof.  John scheduled Patrick to come to my home and give an estimate a few days later.

Patrick arrived as scheduled and carefully evaluated the two projects explaining what would be done and how the work would be performed.  He was extremely knowledgeable, confident in what he was explaining, and made me very comfortable that had the expertise to do the work.

The job was scheduled for the following week (today, 10/22/2020) and Patrick was on time and immediately began to do the work.  It quickly became obvious that Patrick is very experienced and knows exactly what he is doing.  His professionalism, attitude, and the energetic way he approached the work was exceptional.  He answered all of my many questions without hesitation and, after the job was completed, walked me through each part of the work to ensure that I was totally satisfied - which I was!

Arizona Maintenance Service is a well run company and Patrick, in particular, is an exceedingly talented and very experienced craftsman. The high ratings and reviews the company enjoys are well deserved.  I will be using them, and specifically Patrick, in the future for home projects I cannot do myself.

Great service and easy communication. They expertly installed a VERY heavy basketball hoop for my husband's birthday into a stucco wall. I was nervous, but ended up being very impressed. They did this months ago and I waited to see how it held up and it's been great so far. They were very thoughtful about ensuring safety and longevity. Not cheap, but reasonably priced for the work....which these days, pretty much comes out to a deal.

We had tv's a pictures to hang in a new home. Jesse came and got some of the old tv's off the wall and then said he needed different wall mounts for 2 of the tv's I told him I would go get them and he said no I can. He never mentioned that there is a 20% markup and that we would pay hourly while he was gone for 2 hours, I guess getting lunch. On the invoice we received had just a grand total of $950.00 for 6 hours of work. Crazy and insane. I will never use this company for anything. For lack of communication, slow worker, and did not multitask at all. So he couldn't talk and work. This is deplorable was to conduct business. I called the office and she didn't help at all. She just said she would have Jesse call me and he adjusted the bill by $30.00. Terrible practices for a business. Live and learn I guess. Hire at your own risk as you have been forewarned.

I requested a quote for some drywall work. The owner rearranged his schedule so someone could come out and look at it for an estimate. At first I was impressed that he would do that, but then no show. No call. No text. If my job isn't important, fine. Just be up front an either tell me you'll have to put it off to another date, or tactfully tell me you have bigger fish to fry. Not impressed.

I called the office and made an appointment for someone to come pour a shower pan.  They sent someone out to measure and I scheduled the appointment.  I took a day off from work to be home for the person to come do the work.  He was 2 hours late.  He came to the house and looked around and said he needed to go to Home Depot.  He then called me from Home Depot to tell me that the pan was not in and that the only size they had was bigger than what I wanted but that was gonna cost $200 more.  I met him at Home Depot where I discovered that my order to have a shower pan poured had somehow been changed to them ordering a pre-fab fiberglass pan.  I explained that that was not what I had requested and that we are going to tile the shower therefore I cannot use a prefab pan.

The man went out to his truck and called his office who then said that they could do what I asked but that it would be the following week before they could do it.  I explained that was unacceptable as I had someone else coming to hang concrete board the very next day based on my appointment with them to have the pan done.

They finally agreed after quite of bit of arguing that they would do the work on Saturday the way I had originally requested.

Now comes Saturday and my appointment was at 8:00.  At 8:30 I get a call from the worker saying that he had overslept but that he would come.  3 hours later he arrived.

Now the pan is in and it seems to be a good.  When the tech left he had me sign something saying the work was done and advised I would receive an email w/ a link to pay.  Sure enough, Monday morning I received a link w/ a bill marked Past Due.  I called the Manager John and asked why my invoice was marked past due.  He stated that is just their system.  I also asked if he had received my message about the tech being 3 hours last on Saturday and he said yes... Sorry about that.  That was it.

They screwed up my original order; Their tech was 2 hours late the first time; I lost a day of work because they screwed up the ticket and could not do the work they were supposed to do on the day they had it scheduled; rescheduled and the guy was 3 hours late and then I got a past due invoice and the best I could get was a sorry about that.

Be cautious using this company.  The end result was pretty good but getting there was a real headache and they take no responsibilities for their mistakes!

John Surakus is the best handy man in the valley! He fixed everything in my house perfectly and efficiently and at a great price. He fixed everything while my wife was working at home and she said she had a blast having john over. He's the best 10/10!

We had several touch up jobs to complete after a larger remodeling project and John and Jesse helped us get it all done! John was available right away to provide a quote - he was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy going - no pushy sales to make you feel like they want to do more than you need.  I like that they charge by the hour rather than per item so its not a nickel and dime approach.  Jesse showed up right on time - the quality of work was great and it was done in the amount of time they quoted.  We will have them back for the next project!

John S came to our home and took care of our list of needed maintenance items. He worked methodically through the list and did an excellent job with each of the items. We will gladly refer John and Arizona Maintenance Service in the future!

Efficient, quick, friendly. Price was very reasonable. Work was clean.

Our kitchen sink had dropped, and I had been told that by two plumbers that didn't really offer a solution.  John came in and figured out how to put braces in the cabinet to secure the sink without having to remove the granite.  Not only did he do a great job, it was a breath of fresh air to see him clean up after the job.  Highly recommend!

Jeffrey was wonderful! So friendly and fixed my disposal very quickly. I really appreciate him coming on a Saturday. You guys are the best!

We had Jessee out to do a few projects on our new home. He was great to work with! He was very nice and knowledgeable and got the jobs done in a timely manner. We highly recommend him!

John replaced our commercial doors at our office. He did a great job, but more than that, it was a pleasure to work with someone that had a great work ethic, communicated and was an all around nice person. We will always use him going forward.

AMS recommended by our plumber, as we needed some drywall repair and grout repair. Very happy with the work performed and price was fair. Person that did the work (John Surakus) also provided very helpful suggestions on professionals for other tasks that weren't typical handyman jobs.

Stanley was knowledgeable and didn't beat around the bush. Pricing was decent, communication was a little slow. But in the end the project was completed in a timely manner. Will definitely use again!

Since buying a home here in Phoenix 8 years ago I've struggled to find a reputable handyman service. I finally tried AZ Maintenance & my search is over.
Knowledgeable & reputable, accommodating with scheduling, prompt, & professional. AZ Maintenance is the total package.
I had Stanley come to do a fairly difficult installation. He took his time,  saw it through to completion & the billing was very fair.
It's a great relief now to know whenever I have a need AZ Maintenance is just a call away. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a job done right.

I asked Patrick to replace my doggie door flaps and replace my doorbell. He said the doorbell was a process of elimination and was going to be expensive - okay that's plausible. But he said he couldn't get the old flaps off of the doggie door without disassembling the frame, which was going to be pricey. I know you don't have to take the frame apart to replace the flaps. I've replaced those exact flaps on another door before. You take the screws out and you pull the flap down. Maybe trying to take me for a ride? He left and I did the work myself, while holding my 4mo old baby. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Having 12 foot ceilings makes it necessary to hire someone with a tall ladder to change bulbs. That was accomplished. But moving all the furniture to accommodate the ladder made it necessary to put it back together again. Not done!  And very expensive for a few minutes of work.  And arrived late to boot. Would never recommend this company.

Well I'll let the photos talk. I could have done better I thought I was hiring a pro... I had 3 wall mounted TVs that needed holes patched. This should not have been hard. This is the most pathetic attempt I've seen. I seriously have done better in high school.

John Surakus came out to repair a crack in my wall.  He made it look brand new!  He was very pleasant, took his time to make sure that the job was done properly.  I will definitely call Arizona Maintenance Service for any future needs that I may have.

Two Thumbs up! Great service they took care of my water heater & checked my AC I have had no problems since they came out! The price was lower than what I was expecting so I am very happy customer!!

I have used this company a few times. Excellent service, on time, and great work. Most recently Eric Smith one of there techs replaced my garage door plastic that goes across on the bottom and replaced the sink cabinet. Very professional and clean work. Highly recommend this business!

Eric was on time. He removed some drywall and installed a double door. He was courteous and did a great job with clean up. The job came in on budget and he even finished sooner than expected! Would highly recommend Eric and this company!

Called them for a quote.  They scheduled appointment to come out with a 2 hour window.  After about 30 minutes, they called to say they were running late by 1-2 hours.  I asked if they could show up at the end of 2 hours because I had to leave and come back.  They told me no problem.  Got back as scheduled, and they never showed up or bothered to call me again.  With this customer service, not interested.

Joel was a great maintenance man. They bailed me out of a real bind finishing some last minute maintenance work so I could close escrow. I highly recommend Joel, as well as his company. After being stuffed by someone else, their rates a reasonable and the work is done in a timely professional manner!  Thanks Joel!!!

Fantastic service, I highly recommend them! We needed an assortment of work done around the house, ranging from kitchen plumbing to putting up closet shelving. Patrick came over, did a great job with everything, and the price was fair. He was also super nice and fun to talk to.

Service was fast and our service provider, Patrick D., was amazing. On time, incredibly friendly, very very good at making me feel comfortable and happy with the money I was spending. I had multiple items to have hung on super high walls and not only did he do it with a smile, but perfectly centered and level every time. Will be requesting him again when needed.

Eric Smith from Arizona Maintenance just finished a drywall job on my kitchen ceiling and I couldn't be more pleased!! He arrived on time, completed the job quickly and cleaned to the point you can't even tell he was doing drywall in my kitchen. He did such a great job no one would ever be able to tell there was a hole there. I would highly recommend AZM to anyone seeking home maintenance service!

GREAT service!  had a repair needed quickly on my shower that broke (and wouldn't stop running!) and they came out this morning quickly and got it repaired fast!  Very reasonable pricing and professional and knowledgeable service tech!

Cannot say enough good things about the service provided to us by Lee of Arizona Maintenance Services. We had water damage on our walls from a leak in our roof that was repaired efficiently as well as neatly by Lee. You can't even tell where the repair was done, it blended in so well, and there is nothing for me to clean up as he took care of everything. Not only a really nice and pleasant guy, his professionalism is outstanding.  I recommend the services by this company to anyone needing repairs!

Set appointment a week ago for them to give me estimate on fence repair.  Waited from 8am-9am as scheduled, no one showed.  Reached company after 11. They sent someone over. He did good repair work at a reasonable market price. My advice is call day before appointment and remind them, other than that company was readonable, easy to work with and they did a good job repairing my wooden fence. Repair man also offered me advice on how to maintain the wood for years to come. Great value from him mostly.

I cannot believe this place has this many 5 star reviews after what we just went through.  
We got the estimate done, Patrick did seem nice, he took the measurements of the doors we needed to swap out, had a plan, and we scheduled it for later in the week.  The day of service I guess Patrick was out of town, so they sent some other guy.  Part of the estimate was to remove an old mattress which the new guy said he could not do, then he spent 2 hrs at home depot when at the time of the estimate they had the measurements of the doors to fix.  Mind you this is not a difficult job, just 2 pre-fab doors needed to be cut and hung, and a hole in the wall to fix. I could do it myself if I had time.  After the extended home depot trip, he tries to do one of the doors, apparently not able to do it, and leaves.  Leaving with one messed up new door, one new door, the hole in the wall did not get repaired, he decided this simple job was too difficult and left, all the while having a horrible attitude from the beginning.  All this was done while my wife had to deal with this incompetent handyman while I was at work.
Update: once I got home I got to see the mess first hand. The one thing he actually did attempt to fix was a drawer, fell apart the moment I touched it, so I got the 2 part resin out and did it right, not the wood glue he used.
Second update:  The Handy man was running too late so we asked to reschedule to which the lady on the other end stated they would not be able to do this job after we wasted 3 days of our lives waiting for these people to do this SIMPLE job... pathetic.
