Pure Power

As a part of a large outdoor remodel, Pure Power was responsible for all of the electrical work including installation of a Bluetooth-controlled HPC fire pit with emergency stop switch, multiple outdoor outlets, and multiple Bluetooth-controlled color light fixtures including wall sconces and ceiling flush mounts (18 feet high).

Pure Power also has great design sense and provided recommendations on placement. Work was of the highest quality and completed very quickly. Pricing is reasonable. Karlin is very thoughtful and a great communicator.

Pure Power will always be my go-to electrician going forward. I'm so glad my general contractor strongly recommended Pure Power as their primary electrician.

Today I called Karlin at Pure Power to find out if or when we could have someone install a smart switch for my back porch light. He was able to fit me into the schedule. When he came out, he listened to what I needed, and then got right to work. My switch is now up and running g without troubles. While he was here, I asked him to look at this bathroom remodel. He gave me some advise on one thing, and then gave me. Quote for the other. I'm please with the level of service we received today. Thank you Karlin.

In 2018, Karlin installed two AFCI/GFCI circuit breakers that I had previously purchased, for $203.50 per his estimate. This seemed reasonable to me. He acted professionally, and he even let me watch him install the new breakers.

My only minor concern is he only hand tightened the screws good and tight, instead of tightening them according to the 36(inch pounds) specification that was written on the breaker installation instructions, and on the new breakers themselves, when he installed the new breakers. Karlin said that this is the common practice among electricians and that very few, if any, bother to follow the inch pound torque standard when tightening circuit breakers. Also, it would have required use of a special expensive inch pound torque wrench that must undergo annual inspection and certification. (What a pay cut! Ouch!)

These facts for now allay my concern enough that I can see myself hiring this firm again to do electrical work for me in the future. I say this especially since Karlin was an easy person to work with.

Karlin has helped us out on a number of projects and he is outstanding, very knowledgeable and very honest.  We would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Two of our heaters stopped working right as the temperature dropped. Most electricians were booking six weeks out, but Karlin made time at the end of his day to come help us out. That's great service right there. Now we don't have to worry about being cold until December. Bravo - well done.

Karlin came in and fixed my dangerous, outdated electrical panel. He also gave me a good deal installing a generator outlet while he was in there. Really nice guy, fast, and responsive. Have him coming out to install some can lights soon as well. I recommend him to everyone.

Update: Had Karlin install 20 LED can lights. Did it in a day and did an excellent job.

Karlin answered the phone and was at my house within the hour, presumably to replace a blown circuit in my garage. Needless to say, not a blown circuit. He found the problem right away, and we were back in business within two minutes. He is the electrician I will call when the next issue comes up. He has a standard hourly rate that he tells you upfront... worth it for prompt and professional service. Thank you Karlin... you are the best!

I was probably over-dramatic, but I found some wiring issues in my house that I was concerned would cause a fire. I called Karlin and he responded to me within hours and was able to meet me a few days after I contacted him! He looked at my house and reassured me that things were okay and patched up any hazards I had. I really appreciate his communication, calmness and most of all, his sense of urgency to help me. I will stick with him from now on and I highly recommend this company!

A huge thank you to Karlin, I was trying to solve an GFCI electrical issue myself for a few days now. I finally gave up and called Karlin:-) After I had explained the situation he asked a few questions and told me that a neutral down the line of the GFCI was loose. After a few hours of checking all the outlets and some additional socket upgrades we now have power to the upstairs!

What a great guy. I called him for electrical trip issue..explained him what was happening. ..he advised what could be the problem..vola...i did what he said... dumb as me it was just bulb issue....
Without much of hassel he was open for help over the phone. Hard to find someone like him...next real issue im sure im not going to go to any other electrician than him.

Karlin was very prompt to respond to questions online and provide quick quote with no frills or add-ons. He was able to come install 240v for my new electric brew system in the garage. He showed up a bit early, was courteous and finished in under 30min. The price was the same as discussed in email. Other companies were quoting a lot of weird add-on fees, slow to respond to email queries, and could not do the work for 2+ weeks. I would definitely use Pure Power again for any electrical work.

Karlin was great.  He was prompt, his bid was detailed and was flexible with changes I needed.  In particular Karlin and his wife went above and beyond with a ceiling fan we had him install.  This was a vaulted great room which required an extra tall ladder, in addition we thought we could just install it on the sloped ceiling but the slope was too great which required him to basically install it twice.  In addition we needed a long pole for the fan that was not with the fixture our ordered (my fault) and his wife ran out to get the part we needed.

I had him run some network cables, speaker cables, add a couple of circuits, hand a ceiling light, put in a 50 amp EV plug and wire for a generator switch.

I have no reservations about recommending him to friends

Had a bit of an urgent issue and spent some time leaving messages hoping for a quick call back. When I called Pure Power the call was answered live and I was able to arrange for a service call immediately. The work was done well and the cost was reasonable.  I get that it's not always feasible to pick up calls but in this instance it made all the difference. I will certainly use Pure Power again.

Really great work that was not only fast but also very clean.  New outlets were installed (two 240v lines, one 120v line, new breakers) so well it looks like it was part of the original construction.  Very professional and great communication explaining all work needed beforehand and the results afterward.  

Good price and even though the scope of the work grew a little once he came onsite the price did not change.  I will definitely be using them again.

Had Karlin hook up our new spa, and he was able to do it for an extremely reasonable price, all while working within our restrictive timetable. He was flexible and easy to work with, and he did a very professional job. I would definitely use him again for another project.

Karlin gave me a quote over the phone to replace a bathroom fan/light (that I purchased) and to add an additional can light in my shower.  He & Joe showed up at the scheduled time, had the job done within 1 hour 15 minutes and honored the quote.  They were very courteous and left no mess behind.  The work was excellent.  

This is the company you want to do your electrical work.

Well, this was unexpected. I wanted piece of mind that a newly installed used hot tub was wired correctly because the GFI breaker kept tripping. I was reluctant to call an electrician based on fear of being taken advantaged of; also trying to coordinate appointment.

I was pleasantly surprised when I called and spoke with Karlin. He was professional, knowledgeable and was able to respond within a couple hours. Decent rate too. He corrected a minor mistake and went a few steps beyond to ensure everything was ok.

If I have electrical needs in the future, I will call him.

We had an issue that didn't look real healthy break out in the house.  We called Pure, and Karlin came out faster than I would have expected.  He explained the situation, made the corrections, totally cleaned up the aftermath of the situation, and left everything cleaner and tidier than when he arrived, and faster than I had imagined.  His price was reasonable for the prompt service, and professional treatment.  Pure will be my first call if I'm in the need for electrical services again.

No call no show.

Scheduled him to come out for a bid on a Monday. He emailed me to confirm the Friday before our scheduled appointment, then when Monday rolled around he never showed up. Never contacted me to reschedule. I waited more than 2 hours for him.

We hired Karlin at Pure Power to install 7 can lights into our formerly dark living room. He was able to meet with us for an estimate very quickly after we contacted him. The estimate was substantially lower than another company we had asked for a quote in the past.

On the work day, after a quick consultation on the exact placement of the lights, Karlin worked quickly and tirelessly and had everything complete by lunchtime. The inspector came a few days later. I was very impressed with how quickly and neatly everything was done.

Karlin was really flexible and able to work by our schedule, none of this 4-hour window non-sense you get at a lot of the big companies.  I would definitely hire him again.

Karlin was able to fix our timer switch with only a couple days notice. I tried to install it myself but between the timer switch and the 3 way light switch, I messed it all up. Karlin was done within an hour and we have had no problems with the timer switch. This work was done a little over a week ago. I recommend him as he was on time, professional and efficient.

While getting ready to sell my condo, my building inspector discovered a problem with my electrical panel. I contacted Karlin, who answered his phone, and explained the situation. He asked me a few questions and requested photographs so he could properly understand.  I texted the photographs to him, and he responded very quickly letting me know that he could do the work later that same day and gave me the price via text. He kept me abreast of his schedule and contacted me when he was on his way. Once he arrived, he brought in all the parts he needed and fixed the problem very quickly.  He gave me several options for payment, and I chose Venmo.  I later decided I needed to get an invoice from him, and he sent one quickly upon request via email. The entire experience with Karlin was pleasant, quick and easy.  I will remember him for any of my future electrical needs.

I had forgotten to review Karlin after he worked on my property last year.  He's a professional and dedicated electrician.  He's busy and with good reason.  HIs prices are fair and he's honest, a rare combination.

I have nothing but gratefulness towards Karlin. I tried replacing the ceiling light in our washer/dryer unit, but with a condo having aluminium wires built in the 70s, it's hard! On top of that, the wires had no insulation anymore and it completely switched off electricity going to my living room! The situation was just beyond my expections.

I called Karlin the next day and he was prompt in replying. To my surprise, Karlin actually agreed to come by in the event around 6 or 6:30, which was already after hours. Karlin confirmed that the wiring was very bad, so he spent half an hour and fixed the problems. Both me and my wife are very thankful for his professionalism and prompt response.

I would definitely recommend Karlin to anyone who needs electrical work done.

I contacted Karlin to install a GFI outlet to hook up electrical for an outdoor fountain and lights.  He recommended adding a new circuit for the outlet and did a very good, quality job.  However, I question whether the new circuit was necessary for two low voltage items versus tapping into an existing circuit.  It cost me a pretty penny for this job and I'm disappointed that he didn't give me any options that would have been less expensive.  Plus, he added an indoor switch for the outlet but didn't bother to ask us how we were going to use it so it can function properly.  At the price he charged, I expected more engagement from him.

Ok, I have next to no experience with electricity.  I mean I'm pretty used to just flipping a switch and viola!  I also equated hiring an electrician with going to the dentist:  not something I want to do.  I had to though.  When I called Karlin I asked a few dumb questions.  I'm ok with that though because remember I know zippo about zaps.  But he was very nice on the phone.  He agreed to make one last stop for the day and I'm really glad he did.  He was very thorough and completed the job in no time!  Very painlessly too!!  I would call him again without hesitation.

The lights over the front desk at my office failed suddenly.  I called and the owner of pure energy came over the next day. He tacked my problem onto the end of what I'm sure was already a long day.  I now have light and I know who to call when electrical problems occur.

Had a connection problem with my Family room and nook lights from a switch that went bad. These are the most utilized lights on the house. So I had a sense of urgency to get this problem resolved. Karlin came to the rescue as I saw positive reviews from other Yelpers.  And I must say he's the real deal. Of all the electricians I queried, he was the only one willing to come to my rescue that day.  He came with a big smile and took care of my problem in about a half hour.  The rest of the time we just chit chatted about our families, which was great.  Very personable and he really cares about quality work.  Will definitely use him again if needed!

Karlin has been great since we started working with him. We've had him carry out a few relatively small jobs such as installing outdoor power outlets but what will keep us coming back is his willingness to help us out with smaller, and sometimes pretty innocuous questions and even false alarms, as we were new to the area and not familiar with electrical setup here versus where we used to live. Most recently he called out at short notice on a Saturday to check something out for us which ended up to be an issue on the utilities side, but it was his willingness to call on a day when he was supposed to be closed that was so great. Will be using him for all our electrical needs, big and small, in the future.

I called Karlin to schedule an appointment to fix an outside outlet that wasn't live anymore. He was able to come the same day. He corrected the problem in 30 minutes and charged the quoted price over the phone. He is honest and I would hire him again.
