I reached out to AMS Electric via Yelp. Right away I could see that Brenda from AMS was very responsive in her communications with me. She responded to my messages either later in the day or first thing the next morning.

Andrew was the electrician that came out for my service appointment from AMS. Andrew was courteous and through in his work. He addressed the issue that we were having with an outside electrical outlet and was able to explain the causes of the issues that we were having.

He took the time to make sure his work was done well & I am confident that all of the issues that we were experiencing have been resolved.

With summer here our household had portable ac units operating. With all the other devices and electronics running in the house at the same time breakers were tripping constantly. Being a first time home owner I didn't want to be ruining the house and not know. I used the service on Yelp! Which allowed me to state my issue and have different providers reach out. An agent with ANS messaged me the next day to schedule an appointment for later in the week. When the electrician showed up promptly at the beginning of the window stated, I explained the problem and he explained what was likely the cause. He only charged for the service call and was very friendly. If electrical needs arise in the future I know which company I will be reaching out to.

I emailed AMS electric about a dishwasher electrical problem and they quickly scheduled me for a visit the next day. I forgot to tell them that I lived in an apartment and parking was tricky so they were not able to take a look. However, the receptionist was very kind and informed me that they probably could not service the issue anyways because of state licensing. She referred me to a commercial electric company and stepped me through what the process would be.

AMS Electric was so incredibly kind and gracious to schedule me in today. I shut off my breakers for heat after smelling melted plastic at the thermostat and saw the electrical melted through the wire casing. I didn't want to turn anything back on unless it was safe. I called around various places but many were booked or couldn't guarantee service with a minimum $195 troubleshooting fee. I left a message with AMS but was not sure they would get back to me.

Brenda called me back right away. Despite having everyone scheduled out, hearing I had lost my heat with the safety concerns over melted electrical, Brenda contacted the owner Aaron who agreed to come out today to help me. Aaron was very courteous, responsive, and professional. He came prepared with a spare thermostat, even though I had already purchased one. His work was professional and he made sure things were installed level.

The price for the same day service was very reasonable. $99 service entrance fee + repair time.

Would highly recommend this company! They look out for their community and were very kind to fit me in under the circumstances on dhort notice. Very grateful to Brenda and Aaron today! Definitely have peace of mind and restored heat.

Wow, I'm impressed! AMS was responsive over Yelp. I first had them out in the fall of 2021 to do some minor work (hanging a hardwired fixture, changing some light switches, and a few other odds and ends) and had a great experience. I called AMS again in 2022 when it was time to upgrade my electric service and install a new panel. They handled all of the work (permits, installation, and service upgrade) quickly and efficiently.

I remain impressed with their work, and will happily have them back out in the future! Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend AMS enough! We needed to replace our electrical panel a couple months ago. AMS electric came out right away to check out our old panel and put in temporary fix until we could coordinate with city to shut off power. They are very professional, reasonably priced, responsive and do great work. We will definitely be using them for our electrical needs in future.

Unbelievably, after they said I guess we won't do the work in Yelp messages, they had the gall to call me to confirm the appointment. Sorry, already found someone else who understands how to run a business.

My house had three bedrooms with switches that controlled outlets - I wanted the outlets wired so they were always on and the existing switches changed to control new ceiling lights - AMS knew exactly what they were doing, gave a good quote, scheduled quickly and turned up on-time. These guys are super nice and wonderful to work with. We had them added recessed lighting to our upstairs bedrooms, dimmer switches, install a new outlet in the upstairs hallway, fix a flickering issue in the downstairs dayroom, and update the breaker box. All work was done on time and the quality of work was outstanding.

Our kitchen lightswitch had started snapping and causing the light to flicker when turned on. Our daughters room occasionally had the lightswitch snap when turned on, but not consistently.
Aaron was great! He got it fixed on the same day as our estimate video chat. The fixes were quick, reasonable, and got a weight off our shoulders.

One of our circuit breakers had failed and we lost power to our furnace and refrigerator. Arrived a little late but was very professional, diagnosed the problem, suggested options. They replaced the circuit breaker in the main panel and re routed some of the wiring to spread the load. We added a surge protector as they recommended. The repair was more expensive than I had estimated but they did a good job.

These folks were the first to respond to an automated yelp broadcast for help. They were able to troubleshoot a heated floor problem for me quickly and also buy the replacement part locally. Great service and would love to use them again if availability doesn't become a problem given how booked they can be for weeks at a time.

We had AMS out to diagnose and fix a 220v dryer outlet that had lost power. AMS showed up the very next day, on time, and diagnosed the problem (a bad load shedding circuit board from an external generator connection). A bit later in the day, they returned with a replacement part and completed the repair. I couldn't be happier with the service that Kenan and the gentleman helping him provided. The cost was reasonable, they were friendly and respectful, and did a great job. We'll definitely look them up again if we need an electrician. Thanks guys!

I wanted to upgrade my electrical panel so I reached out and scheduled a virtual estimate. For the first time the person called about 20 min late. I missed it and we rescheduled to another date. No one reached out on the scheduled time so I had to reschedule for the third time. No call, no message from the company on the scheduled time again. Will definitely pass this company as they seem disorganized and do not respect other people's time.

I recently had an EV Charger and a generator panel installed by AMS. They came highly recommended by my realtor.

Aaron was wonderful and helpful when getting an initial plan setup and a quote ready. The quote was very fair.

On install day, Ryan came right on time and was very professional and made sure to ask every question to verify the exact details of where to install things. His attention to detail shows in the work which looks great.

I can wholeheartedly recommend AMS Electric, they are responsive and do great work for a fair price.

We had AMS do a panel upgrade from 100amp to a 250amp panel. Also added a EV charger for my car and had a generator interconnect installed. One more last minute item was a hot tub circuit for the future. They were great. They all were clean and safe with full PPE. I enjoyed the team and would call them back any time.

Five of our electric outlets were failing one by one. I called AMS and was able to schedule someone to come out within a few days. The scheduler was very courteous and helpful. Then Ryan was able to diagnose the problem and did a very thorough job fixing all the outlets, even including one outdoor GFI one with a cover. We're very thankful for having working outlets again. I've heard that you can wait for a long time before you can get someone to come out, but we were pleasantly surprised how quickly they sent someone out. Instead of an hourly rate, they also have one set price per item so there are no surprises when you get the bill.

The company was really responsive. The technician came on time. However it took him 2 hours to fix a simple leaking problem and costed more than $700. The owner just replied my review and asked me whether there was any misunderstandings. There is not. The technician showed me that the faucet leaking due to a broken rubber ring. That's it!

My experience with AMS electric has been great. Great quality, outstanding service and fair price. That's a great value given the high demand of this type of services. We asked them to upgrade the panel, meter, and add an ev circuit as well as a transfer switch for a back up generator. Aaron provided great advice before even signing any paperwork. Then the day that we scheduled they came on time, super professionals and never heard any complain about any previous work done by someone else or unexpected issues. And the price as originally discussed (so no surprises there which is great and not always the case with this type of work.

Aaron and his AMS team were amazing to work with.
All Covid-19 operating guidelines were met during an intense one day project with a respectful team of 5. I am a pretty picky customer, and I didn't feel like I was. . 100-amp sub-panel, 240v outlet, and (3) 6000W Bromic heaters were installed to perfection. Aaron came to our home to do an estimate. He was detailed in his recommendations and the pricing was extremely fair for the work that was completed. I made some changes mid-course and price adjustments were again very honest and I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Rare in today's volatile market in Seattle. I would absolutely recommend Aaron in his team to anyone I know and would definitely use him again. Plan early, he is busy!!!

We had a main breaker go out on an older panel and they came out the following day and couldn't have been more professional. We had Seatown come out prior and they indicated that we needed a whole new panel as the main breaker part wasn't no longer made, they were quoting us $7000 of course wanting to sell us the most expensive panel. When Aaron came out, he took the time to find us a replacement breaker and indicated that the panel did not need to be replaced! That is the service all consumers want, someone that goes out of their way to help the customer.
You can guarantee that any electrical needs we will have in the future will go to AMS and we will be referring them to family & friends.

I researched a lot of electricians and after meeting with Aaron, I was confident that his team would provide the best service. I was not disappointed. They were both professional and polite while they moved around my property fixing all the issues we had discovered during the inspection of our new home. It is never easy having contractors moving around your house while you are trying to go about your day, but they were so clean and respectful that It wasn't disruptive at all. I would highly recommend the to anyone for any of their electrical needs. I had a list from installing chandeliers to new electrical panels and they exceeded all of my expectations.

I read the all-star reviews here and decided to go with AMS for my light fixture problem. I'm going to leave my honest review here for a different perspective:
1. It's not free evaluation. There's $109 (incl. tax) diagnostics fee. Once the scheduling was done, AMS was no longer responsive to my message. Were I to learn from them I needed to have the new light fixture ready, it could have been fixed on the same day as the diagnostics was done. But no, nothing was fixed on that day, and I waited two days for another quote, which was a separate cost from the diagnostics fee.
2. For this light fixture issue Aaron identified, it was basically to replace part of the burnt wire, and install the new light fixture I bought. The quote was $500 before tax. I know it's a rip-off because I ended up getting it fixed with another electrician for literally 1/3 of the price. The lesson learned is to not trust yelp reviews too much, and make sure to get multiple quotes and solutions for comparison.

Addressing AMS's reply:
Interestingly it was never mentioned to me at the diagnostics time that extensive rewiring is required to bring it up to code. In fact according to Aaron it was a pretty straightforward fix, so I was surprised to find out how much it would cost by their estimate and started asking around.
On the flip side, I guess it was possible for Aaron to go home, ponder for two days, and come up with a more complicated fix for my light fixture issue without taking any pictures onsite. I'll just let people decide for themselves.

I called scheduled an appointment to provide some electrical work on a recent house purchase. I was able to make an appointment for first thing in the morning the very next day - awesome!

The appointment was for 8am and I first texted to let him know that I would be running 10 mins late. I called after I didn't hear back and no answer. He never showed up, nor texted, nor called back. Totally stood me up. Very unprofessional - who has an hour to stand around and wait for people when communication is so easy these days?!

AMS responded with the appropriate questions and a very reasonable quote to replace/update my 70s breaker panel and bring it all up to code. I received 4 quotes, two of which gave simply hourly prices, and one that insisted on visiting me and discussing options, which was more than double that of AMS. I felt they were professional throughout, forgiving for a bit of a late payment, the work was great, they worse masks and slippers, they cleaned up after themselves, and labelled all breakers at the end. They also accommodated external painters requiring power throughout the day. In the end they apologized for running a little late (it wasn't late) so all in all a great experience dealing with Aaron, Kenan, and Shannon. Would definitely hire again.

Great service! Ryan came out to fix an outdoor outlet and help figure out what this random cord was that was sticking out the side of our house. Outstanding service at a fair price.

I found AMS Electric on Angie's List and am glad I chose them. (I'd considered finding some random person off CraigsList, to save money, but I'm glad I didn't do that.)

Aaron Smith is the owner of AMS Electric and he does a great job. Good service, good information, prompt, efficient use of his iPhone/SMS/email (amselectric at comcast dot net), candid, courteous, helpful, etc.

A+ all around. Highly recommended. I will absolutely hire him again.

Aaron and his team did an amazing job of installing five large light fixtures. The job took about 2 hours extra because of the complexity, but he did not charge extra and was very detailed in his work. He was a pleasure to work with. It was a bit difficult to schedule the appointment, but his work quality is superb and he takes the time to explain every detail before, during and after. I would definitely engage him again for any electrical work needed.

I've had many contractors and subs do work over the past 3 homes I've owned. I'm pretty knowledgeable in regards to construction and electrical, but not an expert. I hired AMS last month to trouble shoot some things, re-wire some outlets, hang lighting fixtures, move outlets, etc. They did an amazing job. They were on time, on budget, very experienced, and fast. I was very pleased with the work they did. The owner even came out to help one of his employees! We were moving an outlet that required one person to go below the house and one stay above. He volunteered to go under the house. I asked the worker why he didn't go under instead of his boss. He said, that's just the type of guy he is. I was surprised he chose to go into a very closed in and confined crawl space and the employee stay up stairs. That may not seem like a big deal, but I believe it speaks highly of the leadership of the company. I would have stayed on the main floor and let the employee do the dirty work! They were very courteous and clean. As far as price, they were much cheaper than any electrician I've had in the past...but the quality was great. I would 100% hire them again and would not hesitate referring them to family or friends :)
