Save Home Heat Electrician
This company is too expensive.  $225 to connect a new battery (I provided) for my back up sump pump and take away the old battery.   The job would take 5 or 10 minutes (I've had it done before).

Blue Sky Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Electrician
Below are the details of my experience working with Blue Sky in repair and maintenance of a boiler system:

9/21/2020: Tech visits to address lack of heating function to boiler, adjusts valve. I pay $59 for trip fee.

10/26/2020: Tech revisits as any issue that was present on 9/21 was not addressed or diagnosed properly. I pay $747.86, including an unauthorized charge of $149 to join the Blue Sky Family Plan. Tech runs full diagnosis and cleans, provides no warranty for work completed and tries upsell me on a wireless thermostat for $748.47.

11/1/2020: The problem has still not been fixed as the boiler is not providing hot water or adequate heating. I contact Blue Sky and as there is no warranty on the work completed they attempt to charge me a $95 trip fee for an outside of business hour appointment the following day, despite that fact that this would be a third trip from one of their technicians in less than 45 days.

For someone on the Family Plan I would expect a bit more willingness to be reasonable. I spent $552 in servicing a boiler that less than a week later was still not operating properly. This company not only is expensive but they could not complete the job and were unwilling to stand by the quality of work done by their technicians. I will never work with them again.

Cooper Heating & Cooling Electrician
We have been using Cooper for the last 13 years and have continued to receive excellent service. They are an honest company with integrity that really does care about the customer. The technicians that recently came out to do our repair were awesome, just like all the other technicians who came out in the past.
All I can say is it's nice to rely on a company that one can trust to do the job right at a fair price.

Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating & Electric Electrician
For me, Personally, this has been one of the worst experiences with a service company, ever.  Because I allowed this assault not only on my  wallet, but my psyche as well.  By not getting more quotes, and written quotes, I have had restless nights and down days since, trying to figure out why I didn't stand up for myself.  You should seriously avoid Tipping Hat for your project, or at least get several quotes and opinions, as there are several honest, qualified companies out there, I've since learned.
I had an exterior faucet head that apparently froze over winter.  To reach it they would have to cut about a 1 ft. square hole in the basement ceiling just below where the faucet entered the house, and cut the copper pipe to remove old one, then solder in the new faucet head. (this was in the 6-8 space between the first level floor and the basement ceiling).  I heard the man say $400 for the work.  Two guys came to do the work, one held the vacuum while the other cut the drywall, and he was there to help align the pipe when the other was outside inserting the new one.  They were done in an hour and twenty mins.  When they told me it was $1400 I called the guy who gave the quote, he said he had said $1400, I must have heard wrong. He said the guys have to be paid before they can leave, I'm old and didn't want the confrontation.  When I questioned the obscene cost, he said it was based on industry standard for that job not time spent there.   I did get a couple quotes after the fact and got a $200-$350 from the two other companies. They are clearly taking advantage of the unsuspecting and elderly.

Plumbline Services Electrician
I have never left a negative review before but was so disappointed I created an account just to warn people about this company.

I called them because I heard their radio commercial advertising a $39 AC tune-up.  This was a scam.  The $39 was just the service fee to have technician come out and look at the system(which I was not told until the end of the service call).

I was impressed by their exceptional customer service over the phone and the technician they sent was very nice.  However, the technician ran through a list of things wrong with the unit and then quoted me $1800-2700 to fix the AC and $4800-7800 to replace it.  He also said I should replace the furnace and quoted $7800-16,800 to do both.

I called my home inspector and asked him for an HVAC recommendation.  I called this other company and a technician came out and ran diagnostics.  He found the only issue was a low freon level. He recharged the system and now it runs great!!! This only cost $175.

I am pretty convinced that Plumbline Services is running a scam and would not recommend them at all!

AAA Service Plumbing, Heating & Electric Electrician
This was seriously such a ridiculous experience. My boyfriend and I run an air bnb out of our basement and one of the guests told us we had a slow draining sink. I googled and saw this company had a 79 special so we went for it. After the tech, not plumber, tech, was here for 3 hours he told us he couldn't fix the drain but fixed the slow draining shower. Next thing we know, our sink is now leaking and BAD, with a new guest checking in at 3 that day. So now I call them and demand someone come out to fix it, having to stay another day at home from work, he comes and says he fixed the leak. Two days later we are leaking again. Another tech comes out checks it out and says he has to send a real plumber to solve it. So now the 4th guy comes and another day home from work, they say pipes need to be replaced and it will be $1100 but they will do it for 800 if we do it right then and there. YEAH RIGHT. Meanwhile they charged us the $79 two different times because of the techs they sent out for their own mistakes.

Flash forward to now. We had been managing the leak with a bowl that we swap out in between guests and ask them not to run water. We contacted Tyco plumbing and they did everything for $620 and everything is good as new and was handled properly in ONE DAY! I'm telling you, don't waste your time for a cheap fix it will just cause more trouble than it's worth.
