Cooper Heating & Cooling

Denver CO

Description

Cooper Heating & Cooling was founded in Arvada in 1978 by Gary Cooper. We are proud to be one of Colorado's largest residential HVAC companies. Cooper Heating & Cooling was the first company in Colorado to begin the practice of sealing duct joints with Mastic, a putty-like paste. This prevents air leakage. The technique is now an industry standard. Sealing duct joints with Mastic has been incorporated into the building codes for many of the Metro-area building departments. Cooper Heating & Cooling introduced the first HEPA air filtration system in the Denver and Colorado Springs area almost 20 years ago.

Our furnace is almost 30 and the AC is 22 years old. When we moved in, we knew we'd have to have them both replaced. Our first step was just getting a quote. Joshua was prompt, answered all my questions, listened to my stories and helped me pick the most cost effective solution for our house. A real bonus, he did NOT try to upsell any products or recommend the most expensive equipment available. I truly appreciate his honesty in his presentation.

We will have the installers out in the new equipment in about a week.

I've considered Cooper Heating & Cooling my go to company for many years.  Their guys are always knowledgeable & very nice.  Today Darian was not an exception.  He arrived on time, explained what he needed to do & went to work immediately.  He even found a minute to pet my not always friendly dog.
He explained exactly what was wrong with my air conditioner & what he needed to do to fix it.  I appreciate the work, honesty & integrity Darian & Cooper give me.

Darian then explained what I needed to do for future maintenance on my furnaces & air conditioning units & helped me set up the appropriate appointments.

As a person who as always relied on others to handle house maintenance & must now do it myself I appreciate the help & advice I got from Darian.

I can't recommend Cooper enough! I had them update our electrical panel and not only was the quote lower than expected, they completed the service quickly and efficiently! I will continue to use them for all the services needed.

We had no air conditioning, just like a lot of folks turning their AC on for the first time this year.  I was able to call and schedule an appointment for the same day. Juahita was super friendly on the phone.  Joe was the technician sent out to diagnose, and he arrived in his scheduled window.  It didn't take him very long to find that some wire tubing had corroded in the sun and that lead to a short between some wires. He told us what he could to do fix it, how long it would take, and how much it would cost.  The repair might seem a bit expensive, a $119 charge to come diagnose the problem, 1 hour labor at $328 and $50 in parts, but we have cool air in our house without having to wait several days.  Joe was great, thorough, competent and friendly.  I hope I don't have to call Cooper again, but I will the next time I need AC service.

They are responsive for service calls, but the service people take 2-3 visits to diagnose an issue and resolve. I installed unit in Jan hoping it avoid the summer heat and it's miserable hot and still not working!

We had an exceptional experience with Cooper Heating & Cooling! They installed a new a/c and furnace plus a whole-house fan in the attic. The initial consultation was very thorough, and their recommendations for our home were detailed and thoughtful. Installation of the outside a/c unit involved moving the new unit to a different spot because the previous unit was blocking the electric meter. Everyone who was involved in the installation process was very professional and respectful of our home, and they explained everything really thoroughly. We could not be happier with our experience!

Buyer Beware! Company is very shady and does not honor information on a recorded line. Clearly played recorded conversation with customer service agent that check up was included and that I already paid for it. Manager would charge me, but kindly gave me a discount. Twice , manager would not honor what was told to me by their employees.
New furnace and AC unit were installed in May 2022. After installation, it did not pass city inspection. I was told it would be one full day to install both, it took two days. The installers left two large holes in drywall in basement and living room. They told me I would have to fix the holes. Employees were disrespectful to my property and left messes for me to clean up. I would not recommend them, but unfortunately Costco uses them as the third party. Customer service is lacking in all departments.

Replaced an 18 year old water. Aaron and Paul were professional, courteous, and did a good job. Casey also came out the next day when I noticed a strange vibration when the water was running. He made some adjustments to the pressure regulator to make it disappear,  but warned me that it was probably getting close to end-of-life. Very helpful. I would recommend Cooper Heating.

Update 2 weeks later: the supervisor and the manager called me and both spoke with me on the phone to better understand my concerns. This doesnt necessarily change my initial experience but at least i know they cared enough to look into this.

We purchased not one but two systems(furnace and AC) from this company for our 2 homes. Our 5 year old AC started acting funny and we called this company to service it. The coils were dirty and the technician cleaned them for an outrageous price of $479. It was high, but we were hoping he knew what he was doing and that would fix the ac. At the end he said that our compressor gave out and he quoted $3.5K to fix the ac. Luckily we didnt believe him and invited a second company. The replaced sensor (?) and topped of refrigerant cheaper than the cleaning service by this company and now we have a working AC. Needless to say we will never call this company again and would they should be ashamed scamming their customers like this.

Just had my a/c, furnace and humidifier replaced on yesterday, therefore I can only reply to the customer service which was...excellent!
Terry came and expertly measured and answered all of my questions. Once I made my decision I was immediately allowed to pick my date of installation. He along with the installers were very respectful and mindful of my home.  Cleanup was quick and all old machines were taken for recycling with them. All in all I was pleased with all of the services provided by Cooper Heating & Cooling through Costco. Pamela

What a wonderful experience we just had with Cooper Heating & Cooling. We had the great privilege of working with Jason our sales rep and then the installers were Matt, Dustin, and Jamison as they installed our new unit and our all-house fan. The level of professionalism, communication, transparency, fairness, support, and experience was top notch. So impressed with every step of the way with this company. They have us for life as customers. Thank you, Cooper Heating & Cooling, for taking such good care of us.

We purchased a new home last month and learned that we needed a gas hookup for our dryer shortly before move in. I reached out to Cooper H&C and was impressed from the start. The super-friendly office staff was able to get me an appointment right away.
Our plumber apprentice, Aaron Chavez, was very professional and courteous. He provided a quote the same afternoon and the price was fair.
Work completed, inspected and operational in a week.

Very happy with Cooper and Aaron!

------ UPDATE 5-23-23 ------
Since my original post, the company did take notice and contact me to address my concerns. I'll give them credit for that. It's a shame the process worked out like it did, but at least they're listening.

------ ORIGINAL POST ------
On their website, Cooper claims to be a company that values being accurate with expectations and deliver what is promised. I'm sad to say they miss the mark in a major way.

We've spent probably $40K with Cooper on three big HVAC projects. On the most recent a/c project, their sales person provided us an estimate that listed three separate rebates for a total of $2500. However, when the project was complete, we only received $2000 in rebates. When I asked the sales person about this, he acknowledged this was his miscommunication, but would not honor the additional $500. I even have an email exchange between us where I ask him to verify all three of those rebates will happen, and he wrote me back to confirm we'd receive the incentives.

To have them NOT value us as customers or the expectations they clearly set is just sad. I go into every working relationship like this trusting that the person on the other side is trustworthy and dependable. The sales person even acknowledged that this was his miscommunication and the company still won't fulfill the expectations they created.

Cooper Heating and cooling just installed a 4ton heat pump at our home.  They did a great job, very professional and conscientious crew of mechanical and electrical technicians.   Installed and working in two days.  System so far is working great, looks good and will be a great Heating and cooling system for our home.   We love our baseboard hot water heat system, but with this we have no ductwork for a traditional A/C system.  The heat pump will efficiently cool our home, as well as help offset out winter heating bills.  We highly recommend Cooper Heating and Plumbing if your in the market for a heat pump system.

Cooper installed a new HVAC and humidifier. There were about 5 techs over 2 days that were all excellent.
They sent another tech Spencer out to double check the factory settings and adjust to better serve our home size, etc.
Spencer also followed up and adjusted the humidifier and added a drip pan.
He was very accomplished and made a few suggestions to further the life of our system. We are very pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and communication to us as the install progressed. Dillon made sure we understood our new equipmentvand answered all of our questions before leaving. We highly recommend Cooper Heating.

We chose Cooper when looking for a new furnace, A/C and house fan.  While they were not the cheapest, Cooper was not the most expensive, and the service from quote through install was stellar.  The crews performing the work were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and timely.  They did a great job, cleaned up after themselves and everything is running well! In addition to all that, the Costco Shop Card is an added bonus!

Cooper installed a new electrical panel and heat pump. They were very professional, reliable, and have had great follow up. In fact they found two problems equated to prior contractors. One was electrical and the other had to do with our air intake to our furnace. Both were dangerous and Cooper fixed them without any additional cost to us. I highly recommend Cooper heating and air conditioning.

I found Cooper heating through Costco. It's really a great program and Costco does a lot of due diligence before you get to be one of their referred companies. In addition, you earn a Costco shop card, which is worth 10% of the cost of your purchase. Yes 10% of the cost of our heat pump. The shop card can be used by other large items. such is a solar panels. In addition, you get 2% of the cost as a year-end cash bonus if you're using a Costco executive membership.

Requested an inspection of my furnace and HVAC unit, I must have missed the cost of 159.00 each, previously payed 90 for both, now 288 for both, because I missed the quiet word each on the phone call, technician was nice young man guess they did a fine job, here maybe 30 minutes and gone 288 dollars later, definitely use competitor next year, they have become to expensive.

Buyer beware.

We called Cooper on Friday morning to say we had issues with our furnace. Per Cooper there is a $119 trip fee.  A tech arrived a couple of hours later and stated that there are no free estimates (so what is the trip charge for?) and he would be charging us $328/hour just to diagnose the problem. A half hour later he was done and said the estimate would be emailed shortly. He said that several parts would be needed to be replaced and it would be expensive. He said he couldn't get the furnace to fire up and thus left us without heat. Jump forward to late afternoon and we had not received the estimate so we called the office to verify our email info was correct. The operator confirmed this. Well, this is mid December and now late on Friday and we had no working furnace as the tech had shut it off - in other words we now needed service ASAP. We ended up calling another company who fixed the problem a couple of hours later without adding a bunch of extras that Cooper said were necessary (note that we asked the other company about some of these items that Cooper had mentioned and that tech told us these were not needed).

I called Cooper today and spoke with a service manager who reluctantly agreed to a full refund after a bit of discussion.

In short, Cooper is a business to avoid. I initially called them due to so many positive reviews. Perhaps we just drew the unlucky short straw and our situation was an anomaly but I would never use these folks again. BTW it's now Monday afternoon and we still never received any estimate.

I am extremely disappointed in our communication with Cooper Heating. I called today (it's currently 5 degrees outside) and needed an emergency hvac tech to look at our furnace. We called back several times throughout the afternoon to try and get an update on where the technician was at. They waited until 8:30 pm on a Sunday to tell me they weren't going to make it out. I shared several times that we have a newborn baby and our home was continuing to lose heat (currently 50 degrees). I'm incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication and over promising on a frigid cold Colorado night.

Dwayne is a Master Electrician and his assistant Destiny were at my house all day because a few problems led to many other problems.  My home is ten years old now and was purchased from a builder based in Europe and was poorly constructed.  What is scary was all the brownish outlets and behind the wall melted outlets and switches that have no known connections, ceiling fans that were not wired correctly and not secured properly. They figured out the wrong labeling and relabeled my breaker box correctly.  Dwayne is wonderful in explaining how home power works and he called me as soon as he saw a issue and before he took anything completely apart to showed me so I could see and understand it for myself.  They were a pleasure to have in my home.  Now I understand the different power levels and what is safe vs not safe to plug into an outlet or within a grouping of outlet's.  I also know that if I smell smoke it's to be looked for and not disregarded. Dwayne noticed a damaged part and went the extra mile to come back the next day and replace it for one that wasn't damaged.  Cooper is the most credible Company who hires and train's honest and quality minded people.  Now that I have found them I want call anyone else to help me with my homes issues.  Everyone I have seen and talked to have been very professional and knowledgeable.
Thank you all very much!

My technician Cade came early and spent quite a long tome reviewing my HVAC system. My system is 21 years old and I was looking for replacement. I had 2 other bids so I knew what competitive range would be. As I got Cooper Heating and Cooling contact via my Costco membership, I was able to receive 15 % back via a Costco cash card plus a 500$ rebate from Xcel. These two benefits plus better warranties made the price as good as any I had received with better products also being provided. We talked through my cooling problems in the upstairs as well as whether a humidifier would really be needed in the crawl space. Cade was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Cooper also offered a 12 month no interest payment option which I was happy to use as these systems cost quite a bit. I was able to schedule the install very quickly- it will be installed in the next two weeks. I highly recommend Cade and this company.

As a newer home owner, the team at Cooper was the first Denver HVAC company (out of 6) I've talked to that gave me legitimate solutions at a reasonable price. Project Manager Il Yim answered all my questions for three hours the first day, and offered great rebate solutions. Since our initial meeting, he was quick to call, text, or email me back when I had questions. His team works with Xcel Energy to ensure customers get the best rebates possible - and they do all the rebate paperwork for you (Most companies don't do this). Day of installation, his team (Matthew and Kevin) worked efficiently and critically, taking into account the best setup for our home, and our existing duct work. They also found MANY shortcuts that other HVAC professionals got away with in years past (in terms of proper HVAC installation, unit compatibility, energy deficiency areas, unnecessary add-ons, and so on). They were also careful to ensure that their installation passes all city inspection tests. My new unit is now more efficient, more safe, and more customized to our comfort needs. As far as the aesthetics of the installation, they reconfigured all the pipes, vents, tubes, and wiring to make sure it wasn't as clunky and obnoxious as before. This a 5-star HVAC team and a world-class home comforts company.

Our furnace was no longer blowing hot air.  Cooper's diagnostic fee was higher than other compaines we found online, but everyone else was booked out 2 weeks and we couldn't be left with a broken furnace for that amount of time given the cold weather forecast.  When I called and spoke with the scheduler, I asked how much the fee would be to have a technician out.  I was told the fee would be $119.00 and then the technician would provide an estimate for repairs.

The technician arrived at our house and after 1.5 hours he told us it was really difficulty to diagnose, but he had found the problem.   The issue was due to faulty high pressure limit switch.  I had researched the issue extensively the previous day and found the furnace was throwing a 31 code.  This code could mean a few different things, but the first thing that shows up when you google the error code is that the switch is likely the issue.  How it took a trained technician 1.5 hours to diagnose a faulty switch is beyond me, espically when the furnace is proving you with the diagnostic code and a faulty switch is listed as a likley cause.

The technician then presented us with a bill for $447.00.   I was confused and asked what the invoice was for. The technician states the amount was for the service fee plus his additional time  diagnosing the problem. He stated the diagnostic fee ($119.00) only includes 30 minutes and the additional $328.00 fee is for the additional hour he spent diagnosing the problem.   I explained that no fees beyond the initial $119.00 were discussed when I had called Cooper to schedule the inspection.  The technician said I would have to speak with the office.

Cooper's website states they have Clear, Up-front pricing on all services.  This was anything but the case with the invoice we were provided and after an unpleasant heated conversation with the billing manager where I explained over and over again that we were not informed of any other fees beyond the initial $119.00 discussed, my bill was finally reduced to the $119.00.

Regarding the estimate to repair the furnace, we were presented with a quote for  $1,380.00. This included replacement of the high pressure switch as well as replacement of the inducer motor that the technician said was on the verge of failing.  Cooper's website includes a page called Cooper Clear Pricing that talks about how their pricing is transparent and they will provide you with Complete transparency into how the job is priced--we'll provide a breakdown of the cost.  Our estimate breakdown included the following items with absolutely no further detail on the price of the components or the breakout for the amount of time required in the labor charge to replace the components:

-3 hours labor charge
-Misc. Material charge.

Instead of hiring Cooper to replace the damaged switch, I ordered the replacement switch online. It took 15 minutes to remove the old switch and replace it with the new one.  The furnace fired right up and is working fine.   As for the inducer motor, if and when it fails it's not something that should take more than an hour to replace.  How Cooper arrived at 3 hours of labor for the switch and motor is unclear.

Cooper Heating & Cooling just completed my furnace replacement and adding central air to my home in Parker Co. The first day was removal of the old furnace and installing the new one. Every thing went smoothly and quickly! Cooper had five technicians here! The furnace was installed and working when they left for the day! The next day two  techs returned and installed the ac unit. The installation is clean and neat, with a lot of attention to detail! We could not be happier!

This is the second time I have used Cooper and each time had positive experiences. Only problem is that they are so busy I had to book ahead one month.  I hope that this issue will be resolved soon.

When Cooper was not available I had to call another company ( not Cooper) that found problem after problem with the AC and continued to inflate the charges. Ultimately I rejected their service and waited for Cooper.

As suspected Cooper did eval and found no problems I was charged only service fee and labor.  A reduction of nearly $3,000.00 from the other company's  proposal.  Be careful!

Couldn't say enough good things about David (plumber) and his team! Very professional and knowledgeable about the hot water heater we had installed. The team found a broken sewer pipe and stopped the installation and fixed an additional issue. They explained how to keep the hot water heater from building too much sediment and how to make it last longer. Very impressed!

We initially contacted Costco member services for a quote for a new air conditioning and furnace replacement. Through Costco, we were connected and contacted by Cooper Heating & Cooling. Of the different companies we contacted, they were the fastest at getting someone to come out for an estimate. Blaine was very professional, not only in communication with us, but also in throughly going over all of the information and different products we could pick from. Additionally, contacting him with any additional questions or concerns was great.

We scheduled our service and Cooper H&C had clear communication on when it was happening as well as texting us the names and pictures of the technicians who would be coming to our home. Chandler and Conner showed up in the timeframe as promised. They were very professional and worked on this big project for us. We were told it's an all day project of about 8 hours. It was! These two worked diligently and kept all the work spaces clean. They laid down protective tarps and were respectful of our space and home. We didn't feel like we had to pick up or clean anything after they left.

If you're looking for a company to help with heating or cooling, Cooper Heating & Cooling is wonderful! Great communication and customer service all around. They really work well as a team and getting things taken care of! We're loving our new units and nice cold ac!

Alejandro tried a dozen different overrides to diagnose the problem and reached out to other senior techs in the company to ensure the accuracy of the diagnosis! Very professional and clearly communicated problems and solutions. I highly recommend Cooper Heating!

Overall an okay experience but wish they had been more proactive in fixing an issue. I had ac installed on an old house and the sealing from the duct and coil was severely lacking. I was cooling my crawl space, no joke. I called after installation to let cooper heating and cooling know. A tech was sent out and 'addressed' the issue. No fault to the tech- he was great and fixed up a couple of another things as well. I did not inspect the work as the inspector was gonna give a good look over a few days later. It was interesting to watch even the inspector simply glance over the work. Had I not been there he wouldn't of even waited for the unit to turn on to then still see a major leak on the same connection point that wasn't sealed properly. I had to point it out... anyways. Then another tech was sent out to address the same issue who told me the previous tech left notes saying he thinks he'll need to come back out.

Communication is huge, and a great company IMO is one that has the best interest of the consumer.

Always do your own 'inspection' after work is done on your house. And ensure the company addresses it to your satisfaction. Cooper and heating did come through in the end and had very friendly employees but would have liked a more practice approach.

We recently purchased an older home in Arvada. It has great bones, but it definitely needs some updating. We have grand plans to do some renovation but the older electrical panel and 100A service was holding us back. Caleb from Cooper Heating and Cooling was able to give us a speedy estimate and get us on the schedule before we moved in, and our technician Dwayne did a beautiful job installing the new panel and bringing us up to code!

Dylan Andrews of Cooper Heating and Cooling and his team installed two furnaces and two air conditioners in my home this week.
Dylan is highly skilled, knowledgeable and professional. He lead a courteous, hard working team including Tyler, Joshua, Willie. The whole team was efficient and detail oriented.
I am totally satisfied with the workmanship and product. I highly recommend Cooper Heating and Cooling, and Dylan and his team in particular.

On time, respectful, thorough and knowledgeable.  Installed our new Navien boiler system and have had no issues.  The price was the price, no unexpected hidden side charges.  For boiler needs going forward, they are the only name to know.

I just had our unit installed in January and it went out on a Sunday. I called the number 3 times expecting atleast an on call technician to respond. No. I called on Monday, 3 times, no response. I emailed Thomas who I communicated with on my install. I had no issues contacting him during the whole install. A simple call back would have eased my frustration on being out of state and away from my family. Thank you Thomas and COOPER for making me and my family feel like just a number on your books. I thought Costco did business with reputable companies. You've proved me wrong!

Cooper Heating and Cooling installed a new HVAC system to replace our 29 year old one. Customer service was excellent! All teams were professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and very caring and communicative. The technicians that worked on the initial install, Luis and his team were 10 star worthy!! They dealt with challenges and provided options and fixes. They called in other people in the company to review all the options first. They made every aspect of the install easy for us. The units (at least heating) are working well. They've come out to make some adjustments and again, were thorough and stayed with the issue until it was resolved. This is my first ever review I've left because I have not been impressed like this ever before!

We had a flood due to their incorrect installation and had to tear out drywall.  They came to repair their faulty work, and now they want to charge us for their faulty installation - even though we now have mold and over $2,000 worth of damages due to drywall and painting and mold!!!

We had such a bad experience with our last two companies. The Cooler Comapny caused over $50,000 damage to our home and the Comapny we had come fix those issues just ripped us off and took advantage of our insurance money.
We found Cooper and won't be leaving them any time soon. They treat us with respect, they stand behind their work and their prices are fair.

My whole experience with Cooper was great! Josh was my comfort rep and explained all the options to guide me to making the best decision for a new furnace and adding A/C to my older home. Tyler, Dillon and Dakota greeted me with smiles and worked hard all day to bring the job to fruition. Paul was my electrician and he swooped in to bring in the power. There were a few more guys that came and went and everyone was professional, easy going and worked like a hive of bees on a mission. It was fun to hear them interacting and enjoying their work together.
It was a really big decision to give my home this upgrade and I am extremely satisfied with the process. Another thing that I really liked was the communication I received thru the day regarding the status of different technicians and their ETA via text. That's a nice touch!
I would highly recommend Cooper to anyone...Thanks for your stellar level of service and communication.

We have been nursing our AC and furnace for several years now. In spring of 2022, furnace just stopped working one chilly morning.  We decided it would be best to get updated so we did not have problems in the winter. Worked w Costco to find Cooper Heating and Cooling.  Process was super easy.  All of the folks from Cooper were on time, super polite,  very thorough in their explanations of what was happening when, and very protective of our flooring and furnace room.
I thought replacing the furnace and AC would take 2 days. Nope. Cooper was in and out in 4.5 hours. Workmanship was high quality.  Our new systems do not sound like a spaceship racketing up for take off like our 22 year old AC system did. New systems so quite and efficient!
Really glad we worked w Cooper.  Highly recommend their team and product.

we used Cooper to install furnace and AC early 2019. In one of the properties, piping was not installed correctly and water accumulated in the pipe. This led to the complete shut down of the AC unit in summer 2022. I called another HVAC company to correct the problem. This HVAC corrected the problem but told me the root cause was the installation problem. I called Cooper Heating & Cooling about the installation problem, their technician came out and said there is not problem with the installation because it passed the county inspection.  In addition, they charged me the service call, which I believed to be unfair as they were supposed to come out assessing and correcting their installation problem.

Cooper replaced my furnace and A/C.  First of all, a big shout out to Riley, Sr. Project Manager.... Riley came out and gave me an honest evaluation and walked me through the procedure.  Dan and Dakota were prompt and got busy immediately.  Dan is awesome....incredibly courteous and patiently understanding when I had several questions!  The guys worked right through the day, and honestly, the work was completed and the entire area cleaned up so fast!  Dan then took the time to show me important sections of both pieces and to answer a few more questions. The new furnace is humming along nicely, providing lots of heat.  And a definite bonus....  it is very quiet compared to the loud blower sound of the old furnace.  I can recommend Cooper without reservation. Their customer service is honest and professional.  Thank you so much, Cooper!

Well these guys showed up at the time they said no issues there.  I had a mini-split A/C that was producing an Error code that indicated it had a refrigerant leak that I had looked up myself in the Service Manual which I told the technician that came to do the inspection.  After performing the inspection the tech indicated that the Refrigerant line flarings were not done correctly so the unit was leaking refrigerant.  I asked him how long it would take to fix and responded about 2hours and 2 lbs of Freon.  I then asked the cost to repair and it was over $700!!!  I asked him why it was so high and after muttering some things about Freon is $25/lb I asked him what the 'labor rate was'.  He had to look it up and then replied $268/hr.

I was absolutely shocked at this labor rate.  I said that is more than what a lot of lawyers and doctors charger per hour and he agreed it was a crazy hourly rate.  I then told him I refused the repairs as I know I can find someone to cut some refrigerant lines and redo the flare joints for less than $268/hr.

After telling the tech I refused the repairs he got rather irritated as if he expected me to just pay the crazy rate and be fine with it.

Will know to ask companies like these what their hourly rate is before I send out a technician again.

Regards,
Frank

We had preventative maintenance done on our furnace and AC in July. After rescheduling the April appointment at least twice we got an appointment in the summer. (For some reason, every time we scheduled it rained - and I didn't even wash my car!)

Jonathan Jaramillo came out to do the work. Cooper had to reschedule his visit 8 am for the 10 am - 12 pm window that day. Mr. Jaramillo arrived at 11 am. I had heard at our last service that the furnace's heating function could not be tested because it would be too hot outside in summer  for the test to be reliable. (The temperature was predicted to be 97 degrees F the day of service)

I had to leave for an appointment at noon, so I didn't get the final analysis of what he found. But the AC is still functioning, so I guess all was well. I did get a cooling inspection report, but no explanation in the recommendations or notes section about what he found or what the various colors meant in his observations. (I assume that a green bar = good but don't know what the silver bar means.)

I've had Cooper out before, and they've been thorough and good communicators, but this is a very busy time of year for them. Try to schedule preventative maintenance for the spring or fall - if the weather will cooperate.

When I had the AC unit installed last year the service was amazing!  The crew was extremely nice, professional, and helped to educate me on different aspects of the unit.
A year later and I felt I wasn't getting enough air flow through my vents so I called Cooper back up.  I told them my wife was 9 months pregnant and delivering in 2 days.  They sent someone out within a couple hours.  They sent AC guy by the name of Jason Berg.  He was amazing.  He easily repaired the problem and saved my extremely pregnant wife from having to suffer in a 95 degree house.  He told me what had occurred and how to prevent it in the future.  Nowadays I'm not usually impressed with companies quality of work, but this company is spot on!

Called on Saturday morning for an outlet popping the breaker. A little expensive for emergency call out but everyone else was unavailable till Monday. Andrew was very professional. Showed up in about 20 minutes. He identified the breaker was bad and the outlet needed replaced. He replaced the bad breaker with a regular one to get us by until I pick up the one I want. Colorado heat has been hard for us this summer and our AC unit decided to take a turn for the worst. We called through Costco and got referred to Cooper Heating and Plumbing for a free estimate and quote. They were able to get us scheduled within days and Caleb was prompt and courteous. He explained what each measurement meant and what things to look out for and he also took his time to ensure I understood what he was talking about as I am not an AC expert. He took his time to do his due diligence to make sure I wasn't going with more than we needed for the AC to be replaced and like I said, answered my 1000 questions I had and took the time to thoroughly explain. The quote is very reasonable as well and they aren't trying to nickel and dime anyone which is great. Caleb - you are great and thank you for taking the time to explain what each cost meant and the different options to present to us to have us review!

we purchased an HVAC System from Coopers last year. It has been wonderful - surpassed our expectations.  So we had the warranty maintenance 1yr last Friday. It appeared to us after the maintenance that the system was not operating properly. Coopers has been great they sent the original tech back - still we were not happy. They then sent a more senior tech out. Both Techs were excellent. After going thru all the data it would appear that it is our thermostat that is causing issues.  We kept our old thermostat when we installed the new system.  Many thanks to both Techs and Coopers for listening to us, troubleshooting the problem and giving excellent service even when we were wrong. We recommend this company and thank them.

The service technicians that installed our new water heater were very good. However, I was very disappointed in the price that was charged. Knowing that we needed a new water heater because we had no hot water, we were charged an extreme price that felt like price gouging. We used Cooper in 2010 to replace our air conditioning and heating systems. They were very good and reasonably priced. I now made an appointment with Cooper to come out to check our heating system but will cancel that visit due to the extreme cost they charged us for the water heater. There are many other heating & cooling companies out there that I will use next time.

We bought a Lennox AC and furnace 2.5 years ago for about $13,500.
All was fine (we have done all their required maintenance) till the AC quit working correctly earlier this summer.
We contacted Cooper and at first they told us 10 days before someone could come out, but they ended up coming sooner and we were charged for the visit (both units are still under warranty). They determined the AC Unit is leaking Freon; so we wait another week and we're asked to pay $1700 for a Freon test to see where it is leaking. We complain about the high cost (unit is 2.5 years old), and they lower the test cost to $325.
They do the test and determine the unit has lost over 40% of Freon and is also leaking oil. It's been over 2.5 weeks since that test was performed.
We call every day to see when it's going to get fixed and are promised we will get a call back to schedule the repair and so far nothing. Not a single return phone call to date.
We bought the Lennox units through Cooper and a program at Costco. Since it's been over a month, we are going to contact Costco and file a complaint, as well as Lennox directly.
We are not feeling too positive about Cooper at the moment. My husband has tried to reach an owner or general manager with no luck. The service manager is well aware of the issue but won't return our calls. We are so frustrated.
Meanwhile outdoor temps are in the high 90s. We are sorry we chose them and are not too pleased that our Lennox unit is not working correctly after 2.5 years. It was just serviced 2 months ago and we were told everything was great. We sure wouldn't recommend Cooper now. Not sure how this is going to get resolved but we are tired of calling and waiting. Starting the complaint process as of August 1, 2022.

This is purely based on the gentleman who came out to give estimate on work. His name was Jason. He did an amazing job explaining what the issues were. What needed to be done, what alternatives I had in moving forward to fix the Hvac problems. Unfortunately it's not going to be cheap, but cheaper than replacing the entire unit. I feel pretty good about moving forward with the work.

Weekend arrived, I identified urgent need to replace two! failed sump pumps.  Called around, and no other plumbing service provider (called several) was available to help me out over the weekend, but Cooper.  I scheduled late on a Friday for Saturday service, and between project coordinator Carey, and plumber David, their support of my need was tremendous.  They were capable, affable, trustworthy, prompt, and professional.  I'd highly recommend Cooper (and specifically these two guys) for plumbing services: they'll definitely be my first call for any plumbing services in the future, especially for urgent needs.

I initially called the HVAC company who had last worked on my furnace. The person who answered their phones said, they couldn't help me until the next day and they hadn't even installed my furnace! That was true. However, I had bought a $13,000 heat pump and they had worked on my furnace when they installed the heat pump. Yes, you can see where this is going. Goodbye, unnamed HVAC company with a bad attitude phone rep!

The temperature in my house was 39 degrees and I'd been displaced from the Marshall Fires, so I was lucky to catch it. I needed an HVAC technician quick!

I quickly read the positive reviews about Cooper. I called and had a great experience with their phone representative! She sent Eric out to my house. He was 50+ miles away on another job, and arrived very quickly. He was able to troubleshoot and resolve the situation. The house is warming up and no frozen pipes (so far!) I'm thrilled with Cooper and will be a loyal client for years to come. Thank you!!!

After making the big decision to replace the 25 yr old furnace in our older home, I set up an appointment thru Costco for a new one as well as adding A/C for the first time (we also have an evaporative cooler). From start to finish, we were very happy with the experience with Cooper!  I wasn't even out the door of Costco before I had a confirmed text for the initial appointment and the communication continued just like that all the way thru the process. We got a quote with various options suitable for our home size and got on the calendar for install right away.  On the day of installation, our primary install duo were onsite for 12 hrs to complete the job (!!), along with the electrical team popping in at just the right time to complete their portion. We had a complication as is the case in many older homes, but we got to a reasonable solution quickly. We are still wrapping up a few details (e.g., final inspection) but at this point, we are confident that all will end well, given the history to this point. One tip is to be sure that what is listed for follow up on the electronic job report is everything you want, as this becomes the book of record for next steps (we had to make an addition that didn't get on there initially and it took a few calls to do that).  This entire process was a LOT better than I expected and I definitely recommend Cooper. They are now our go-to team of professionals. Excellent service, excellent communication.

Cooper heating and cooling provided outstanding service today. I was unhappy that it took six days for them to schedule my appointment but once the technician arrived things began getting better and cooler very quickly. In addition to providing the repairs necessary and the cleaning and checking of everything the technician showed me how to do this type of repair myself should it ever occur again and provided me pictures and helped me write down the instructions so that if this problem occurs again I have a way to fix it without calling them automatically. They had done the original installation and it was very good but this need for service caught me by surprise however they did a great job fixing the problem. Expensive but worth it.

I reached out to 5 companies to install air conditioning.  Plumbline told me they couldn't do it without installing a new furnace also ($16,000) Swan was a no call no show, Tipping hat had a quote that I accepted and one hour before the installation told me the $8,000 unit I selected wasn't available, but for $13,000 they could install air conditioning in 2 days.  Applewood Plumbing charged $29 to give me a $13,000 estimate.  Then came Cooper Heating & Cooling.

They are FANTASTIC!!!!!   First they showed up for an estimate and guess what?   It was REASONABLE!  I could afford it.  Next they made sure I knew they pulled a permit!  Courteous.  Then they came to do the install.  Perfectly professional.  Last the inspector came and told me the work was perfectly done.  There are NO ISSUES!!!!.  I love this company and I will use them for all my HVAC needs in the future.

I had the pleasure of working with James from Cooper Heating & Cooling. I'm a DIY'er but electrical work is something I'm still getting a feel for. I was looking to have a 20 amp circuit installed and was not comfortable doing the electrical panel work. James came over and I started asking all types of questions due to my interest in electrical work. Not only was he extremely friendly, but he actually welcomed the barrage of questions. We put together a plan, and I asked if I could do some of the work for the experience. He was completely open to that idea and said he would inspect everything I did to make sure it was up to code.

When the day of the install came, James let me watch all of his work, answer all my questions along the way, and then inspected the part of the install I was handling. We made a great team, it was an incredible learning experience and the new circuit install is beautiful. I really wish I could have more experiences like this as it's a wonderful way to learn, participate in the improvements of my home and accomplish projects that are outside of my comfort zone.

I would absolutely hire Cooper Heating & Cooling again. Thanks for the great experience James!

I am not sure if was the product (Lennox) or the installation (Cooper), but all the coolant drained out of my residential air conditioner last summer (at the time it was two years old).  The tech said the caps were bad causing the leak.  So, this spring I got hit with a very hefty bill for labor and coolant replacement (not covered in the warranty).  So far, I am very unimpressed with Cooper H&C's air conditioner.  I have to assume you can find better quality elsewhere.

Jason came out to review what our hearing and AC  needs would be for a home our size, and proposed a mid-range Lennox system that was very cost competitive vs. other quotes, with equal or superior features.  He did not try to up-sell us for a system that exceeded our needs.

Also, thumbs up to Dillon Mc Curry and his associates Dillion and David who did an outstanding job in decommissioning the existing system (which was also installed by Cooper 16 years ago) and expeditiously installed the new furnace, AC, Air purification and humidifier system in less than two days.

Very clean and thorough work.

Cooper had put in our air conditioner through Costco's few years ago. Two years ago, they had to replace the compressor. Again, there was an issue with the A/C. Due to the pandemic and lack of enough employees, our day was scheduled out nearly two months. However, Cooper kept in touch with us and let us know when our tech would be out. We had confirmation via text of the appointment and the tech's arrival and the tech phoned when he was on his way. Joe, the tech, who arrived on the early side of the two-hour time frame we were given, was polite, clean, nice and competent.. He found a leak in the compressor and was able to repair it. We were charged only the service fee, since the compressor was less than two years old...which we felt, was the right thing to do.

Cooper did a great job fixing our very complex issue. I tried everything I could to fix our AC and couldn't pin the problem. Turns out Cooper has better brains and expertise than me and many forums online. Carrie was great on the phone. Very responsive, informative, and helpful--right to the point. Everyone else in the office was helpful and kind as well. Fred did an amazing job, was kind, respectful, on-time, communicative, and fixed our issue (even a full motherboard and thermostat replacement). They worked with us on the pricing and our house is cool again. We are thankful to God for Cooper.

In January of 2020 Cooper sold us and installed a Daiken HVAC unit. Later that summer the unit stopped working in the heat of summer. It took days and multiple service calls to finally fix the unit. Two years later the unit had another failure. I called and was told it would be about 3 weeks before they could get out there. I called back weekly to move up the appointment. I explained this was a unit they installed a little over two and a half years ago and this was the second major incident. They eventually made it out replaced another part which was under warranty and charged me a trip service fee. I called the customer service manager and the maintenance manager to complain about being charged a fee to service a unit which had broken down twice. All I received was excuses about sometimes these parts wear out (in two years) and It doesn't look like you bought our maintenance service to check on the brand new unit. In my experience over many years with Cooper and multiple households is when you need them you won't be able to count on them.

Cooper did a great job with the removal and instillation of a new water heater and the main water shut off valve. We had an estimate from them and applewood and ended up picking them because applewood was twice as expensive. They were reasonably priced and quick. Within a week of choosing them, we had our tank installed. They did a great job with also taking the covid measures seriously. The installer wore a mask the whole time and was by himself.

We bought our furnace/ac through Costco and Cooper Heating is the company that services Costco customers. We have had our Lennox high-efficiency unit for four years, now, without any kind of problem in all that time. We have it serviced every year and have been fortunate to have Barrington Jennings performing that service. He takes great pride in his own professionalism as well as in the high ethical atmosphere he finds at Cooper Heating. His work is impeccable and he always spends extra time to offer hints on how to make better use of our system. We couldn't be happier!!

I was starting to have some small issues with my 24 year old furnaces so I decided before they failed have them replaced. I contacted Costco and Cooper Heating and Cooling called me. They sent out an agent. He was very thorough and gave me an estimate to replace my furnaces and AC units. I also got other bids but Cooper was better prepared and worked with me on the estimate. On November 17th, 2022 Cooper put in a new furnace and AC unit. They also replaced my thermostat with a smart unit. It showed that the CO2 was high. I called Cooper Saturday Morning November 19th, and a tech came out that afternoon. Everything was okay. On November 29th, they sent a quality  control person to check the HVAC to make sure everything was done properly. They also sent a Lone Tree inspector and he gave the installation a passing grade. These guys know what they are doing. Everyone was professional and friendly with a can do attitude. The paper work was button down and there were no surprises. I highly recommend Cooper if you have, Heating or Cooling issues.

The electrician, Duane, was prompt, professional and pleasant. He estimated an hour of work to see determine what the issue was after I explained how the issue occurred. He correctly diagnosed that the double 14/3 wiring involved 3-way switches as well as single pole wiring that enabled constantly hot power to the living room outlets. I learned an expensive lesson on how I should take a photo of the wiring before disconnecting the switches so that I can reconnect the wiring correctly next time. I am very satisfied with the service he provided, but was surprised at the rate of $347 for an hour of work involved in reconnecting wiring with 3-way electrical switches and constant power to other outlets in the room. Thank you, Duane, for a job well done.

He let us know he was on his way, and got to the heart of our AC issue immediately.  He explained in all the detail I could handle the several ways I could maintain my system. In March of 2020, we purchased two HVAC systems (furnaces and AC units) from Cooper Heating and Cooling, through Costco. The installation was done on time, and we were satisfied with the Cooper crew who worked with us. The equipment worked flawlessly until it was time to schedule a yearly maintenance appointment with Cooper, this April (2021).

During the April 2 maintenance appointment, the Cooper tech serviced our furnaces, but at the end of the appointment, told us we would need to reschedule the AC maintenance when the weather was warmer (it was over 70 degrees during the service window), which we did, for early June.

When hot weather arrived in early June, we discovered that our upstairs AC unit no longer cooled - prior to the April appointment, both AC units functioned perfectly. Since our AC maintenance appointment was less than a week out, we decided to live with a hot upstairs for a few nights.

Then Cooper called and left a message, asking us to move our upcoming maintenance appointment earlier in the day. Since we planned to be out during the proposed time window, we did not call back and agree to the change.

On the day of our original appointment, the Cooper technician showed up for the early time slot that we had not agreed to. I got home for the original, later appointment window to find voice messages from Cooper, letting us know they were here while we were gone.

I called Cooper to get an explanation. It would have been OK if Cooper's customer service representative (CSR) apologized and fixed the problem. But instead, she proceeded to lay responsibility on us for not being home during the time window they rescheduled without our permission.

It took me 10 minutes to get Cooper's CSR to understand that, since we were at our house during the appointment window set 2 months prior and had not agreed to the proposed schedule change, we met our part of the bargain. And it was unreasonable to expect us to now reschedule at Cooper's convenience, with a dead AC unit, during a time when Cooper's service techs were fully booked.

I gave Cooper's CSR a chance to do the right thing and send a tech out today, the day of the original appointment. But Cooper refused to do that, even though the schedule mess was of their making. Cooper advertises 24/7 emergency service. But it's clear from our experience that AC outages combined with schedule errors caused by their own actions do not constitute emergencies, in Cooper's eyes.

Customer service that is dictated without customer agreement is dictatorial and non-consensual. Cooper's customer service lapse in this instance is inexcusable, something we have never experienced before with any service organization. We will follow up with Cooper and Costco to make sure they understand how Cooper bungled our service appointment, attempted to lay the blame on us, then failed to provide a timely remedy for the problem they caused in the first place.

I had another company come out to diagnose my AC unit that was not blowing cold air. I was looking for a second opinion and contacted Cooper to schedule a tech to come out and run a diagnostic, as well as potentially compete for the business to either a) repair the system or b) replace it.

Apparently they either don't hire enough techs or they just don't care enough, as their next availability was over a month out. Really? A month away? Who is going to wait a month during summer for a company to come out just to assess the system? I could understand if we were scheduling something like the actual repair or a new install, but to do a diagnostic and potentially earn new business? Cooper must be doing really well right now.

Fishy company--don't be fooled by the jesus fish all over everything! I went through costco for a new furnace and AC and it's broken multiple times, and the company has found reasons as to where it's not covered by warranty each time. It's less than two years old and I'm looking at $1500 in maintenance so far. Its either a faulty product or a faulty install. Suuuuuper sketchy operation.

The only reason this is four stars, and not five, is because I called for service on Sunday and their first available appointment wasn't until Wednesday.

Our furnace would not turn on when I tried to turn it on last Sunday. It was the first time turning it on for the season. I tried resetting it myself, but that didn't work.

C. Pratt was the technician that came out and was able to get the furnace going again. He was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient.

After calling two other companies we'd used in the past who could come for 2 days or didn't return our calls when our heat went out Dec 26th..... we have found our new HVAC, Plumbing, and Electric company.

I cannot recommend Cooper Heating and Cooling. We only used them because they were the installer for Costco. They installed our unit but said that they could not complete the job due to a materials shortage due to COVID 19. They explicitly said it would not pass the City and County of Denver's inspection/permit sign off.

However, I am now repeatedly getting an email from them to sign off that the work is complete. I have responded for the 3rd time today that it is not complete but the previous two responses have gone unanswered.   They are trying to get me to sign off before the work is complete by saying I'll get my Costco rebate faster. That a deceitful ploy. Finish the job!!! Here is a copy of the email:

The only good thing about this company is that they sell Lennox equipment. Their service department is terrible. Late, missed appointments, last-minute reschedules, etc.
Follow-up is non-existent. I had to push them to complete inspections with the county, and have been waiting 9 months for AC check so  I can get my rebates. Not that check-up is being rescheduled the day of the original appointment (that I had to remind them of in the first place).
Being affiliated with Costco as a promotional dealer does not mean that they are a good organization.

We had a leaking outdoor faucet that has needed to be upgraded for a number of years but I had always put it off. It finally got to the point where we needed someone to replace it and put in a shut-off valve to keep it from freezing. Cooper responded immediately with their very best guy who came out three days later. It took him about half the time estimated and it was a perfect job. We'll definitely call them again for any plumbing issues and would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services in our area. Great company!

Feedback on furnace installation 11/12/21:
Gholam/Keith were cordial and polite but I do not believe the quality of the installation was up to par with my previous installation.
I asked Gholam several questions when he arrived but I am nor sure that he understood me and I couldn't fully understand him. It was not until Keith arrived an hour or so later that I could communicate with them. Keith later had to instruct Gholam how to take the readings and fill out the form to assure the furnace was working properly. (Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the installation)
During the installation they accidentally knocked over a can of PVC adhesive and some got on the carpet in the immediate area of the furnace. They did not apologize but made a half hearted attempt to get the glue out of the carpet. After they left I worked for about an hour to remove the glue and got as much out as I could but the stain will always be there. Accidents happen and I understand but they should have apologized and let me know they did the best they could but could not remove the remainder of the glue.
Went to my office and found my work computers were down. I finally figured out that the guys had plugged in an oven to prepare lunch on my porch and it probably blew the breaker. Minor inconvenience once I found the tripped breaker but since their oven probably turned off in the middle of heating their lunch, they should have known they blew the breaker and made an attempt to turn it back on.
A guy appeared to drill hole for venting in my home but scratched his head and left as he was not needed (vent hole was already there). Electrician appeared but had nothing to do as electrical was all modified and checked at my last installation. He scratched his head also and left. Found out that I was charged $300 in my quote to have the electricians come out and do nothing. Poor communication by the installers!
Installation was on a Friday. Took a shower Saturday morning and water was not as hot as it usually is. Shower was ice cold on Sunday. Went to the basement and found the controls on both water heaters turned to pilot only and not turned on. They obviously shut down the water heaters and failed to relight them properly.
I tried to ask your guys some questions about the filter system that they were putting in but did not have my questions answered to my satisfaction. In fact I was given 3 different answers by 3 different people on what filter to use to give sufficient filtration without damaging the furnace system.
City inspector was out and told me that the clamp for a peetrap cleaning was placed so that it was inaccessible for clean-out but he would not write up a citation for it because the intent was there. I called Cooper several times to have this remedied but my calls were ignored until I contacted Costco about this. Finally got someone to come out and repair deficiencies almost one month later!

Cooper replaced my furnace and installed a new air conditioner. After they left, my hot water heater no longer worked. I called Monday morning (a holiday but someone answered and said they would get back to me). I didn't get  a return call until Tuesday morning and was told they couldn't come out until Thursday afternoon, despite the fact that they have technicians on call 24-7 for emergencies. A friend said he would look at it for me to see if it was something simple. It was; the installers turned off my pilot light on the hot water heater and didn't turn it back on before they left. For that simple error, I could have been without hot water for almost a week. I was then on hold for 30 minutes just to cancel the Cooper visit.

While the installers were very nice and friendly, their attention to detail was sorely lacking in many areas in addition to the pilot light.

My unit did not pass the city inspection because of a seemingly simple error. That means I have to be home two more times for Cooper to come out and fix it and for the inspectors to come back out to re-inspect.

The installers would have forgotten their drill but for the fact that I saw it as they were leaving. When an installer came back out because my AC wasn't cooling down my master bedroom, he forgot to put the cover back on my AC when he left.

All of these simple errors make me question whether other aspects of my system were done well and if I will have future problems as a result of lack of attention to detail.

Be careful when you use this company for annual furnace and air-conditioning inspection.  The quality of their work is good, but their method of ensuring a customer is charged correctly is extremely poor and frustrating.  I had this company install my furnace and air conditioning units  four years ago and they did a fine job, except they installed the wrong furnace( a less expensive one).  I give them credit as they did discover it, but treated it as a usual business situation.. Now the reason for this review today is after the installation, I have purchased each year their GREEN CLUB MAINTENANCE PLAN without fail.  So this week with there furnace inspection, their employee stated we did not have the plan and we must pay the $129 inspection fee immediately.  Which we did as we had no choice.  It was stated they they searched for proof that we had paid for the GREEN CLUB MAINTENANCE PLAN and found no record of it. I called their office in Broomfield and they assured me I had the GREEN CLUB MAINTENANCE PLAN and it was paid in full.  So now I have to take my time to negotiate my refund between Broomfield location and Colorado Springs. It appears to me that this company is not in sync with their outlying satellite offices. Thus the turmoil of dealing with Cooper and their payment system results in my one star rating.

We engaged with this company for a new HVAC system via Costco.  They did a great job.  Since we were doing some additional remodeling we used their plumbing and electrical services.  Big mistake.  The technicians they have sent, including supervisors, have been subpar and less than knowledgeable.  Instead of doing things right, they seem to head in the direction of what is easier.  They have damaged our home, inside and out.  They keep promising to make things right, but at what cost?  My husband and I are both busy professionals and can't just be home when they get around to coming out here.  I kid you not, we've had to have them back over a dozen times to correct the work of one job, and it's still not resolved.  Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We asked for an estimate through COSTCO and as Cooper is their installer they sent Jason Smith.  He was very thorough, polite, measured the house, calculated his estimate and explained it to us.  He answered all questions and offered good additional information.
We have not yet chosen Cooper as their / COSTCO estimate was considerably higher than other contractors even with rebates and a costco gift card.  If we take their estimate, I will have been well informed prior to the work based on Jason's visit. This may be the one time COSTCO is overpriced with their products and services. Jason gets 5 stars, Cooper / COSTCO gets the 4 stars.

Mick, the man who came for the project estimate was impressive; very pleasant and knowledgeable. Their bid, with all the CostCo discounts, was also the cheapest among the 4 I got. But, he failed to follow through, when he said he would, on a couple questions I had. Consequently, I chose Rabbit Heating/Air, and could not be happier with the service and quality of their work. We bought our house last year and knew it was time to invest in a new a/c when we found out the old unit didn't have a condensation pump. We decided to go with Lennox based on reputation, and Costco offered a great service through Cooper. Reza and Gholam did an amazing job and walked us through the entire installation. They were efficient and completed the job in less than 8 hours. They even added a concrete slab under the a/c unit since it was previously sitting on loose rock. The electrician who came out before them informed us of incorrect work that had previously done, and set us up with a new outdoor panel. We went with these guys in May 2019 to install our hot water heater that we got through Costco. They were quick, got the proper permits (which doesn't always happen with other companies), and did a great job. We love the new heater. We had an issue this week with a rotten egg smell coming from the heater. A tech came out -- usually a $129 service fee but they waived that since we had some corrosion (which they fixed) on the top copper pipes connecting to the unit. Apparently there are some chemicals in the water causing the rotten egg smell. Haven't had the issue since and we don't smell it in any of our pipes. Going to do a flush of the tank soon though - they also walked us through how to do that, which was very nice.

The AC unit went out in the townhouse and Cooper Heating and Air was my third quote to replace the AC and furnace. The installers came and were clean and appropriate and able to install the units over the course of the day and by 5 pm we had cool air with the correct sized units to cool and heat the home! The new digital controller is nice too! Being that they partner with Costco who has backed every purchase I have ever made it gave me that extra sense of security. The appointment started off with a text message and email with a link to the technician's (Greg) GPS location on a map and an estimate of his arrival. This was super helpful because I was working from home and I could prepare and react to his exact arrival time. I have an older system that isn't cooling well and Greg patiently and clearly walked me through what he was doing to inspect and evaluate it. He taught me a lot about how airflow and temperature transfer works, and made me feel comfortable with making informed decisions about the remediation options. He was also great with my dogs. Thanks Greg!

We bought our new AC from Cooper a few years ago and have been pleased with it. Last week, it wouldn't come on, so we scheduled a service visit. They sent out a technician who quickly diagnosed the issue and only charged us a nominal service fee. So glad that it was a simple fix that didn't cost anything but our time.

The people at Cooper have been great to work with and are very responsive. I highly recommend them.

I asked for a quote on electrical service upgrade and HVAC installation. They quoted me for a smaller panel than I requested, and their A/C estimate was MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH as other quotes I've received. They also tried to hard-sell me a new furnace and water heater, even though there's nothing wrong with my existing units. If you even get one other quote, you'll see that these guys are trying to get you to pay way too much.

We worked with Cesar, Brett, Diego & Ivan on our furnace & air installation. They were all extremely courteous & there work was exemplary.  They were very careful about distancing, covered floors & when they were done, you would have never known they had been here. We highly recommend the Green Team & would refer them to anyone.

Do not use Cooper Heating and Cooling unless you want to get overcharged. Their service fees are astronomical. Cooper services came to my house twice to look at the same issue and charged me $400 to tell me that furnace is broken and I need to buy a replacement valve for almost $1,000 on top of that the second time they came. I called them twice to contest the fees and they were constantly making excuses that they have to pay for insurance and truck, gas etc. I will never use this company again. They do not care about their customers, just want to make quick money.

Jim Daniels was unbelievably professional and Covid cautious.  He reviewed my issue, explained what would need to be done, and gave me an estimate on the spot.  I am just waiting to hear from one more place, but I am guessing I will go with Jim bc he was so wonderful.

The HVAC team was EXCELLENT!  The Plumbing team was awful.  They did refund my money for both service calls.  Hard to believe the different teams are part of the same company.   Plumbing guy was asleep in his van.  Arrived with the wrong part.  Walked in with his fly open and his hat on sideways.  No company uniform.  Didn't have a wrench?  He used mine and didn't return it.   Asked to have the water pressure checked.  Didn't have a pressure gauge.  Van was a disaster.  Walked in, no booties, left tracks all over the floor, oil on the door handles.  Smelled like smoke.  Went to get a new part and returned an hour later.  Still couldn't figure it out.  Sent another Plumbing person out to check it with a gauge.  Tracked dirt all along the floor again, ugh.  Need I say more?

I save my yelping for companies that really impress me and such is the case here.

Last week, a water leak in our furnace/water heater room caused serious damage to our furnace. Cooper was one of three bids I accepted and the company we chose based on a number of factors, including promptness, expertise, guidance and cost. After considering the high cost of repair and safety, we decided to replace our furnace with a Lennox.  It was efficiently installed the following day by a professional and courteous team who clearly were experts in their field. It is worth noting that one of the bids I took, the highest by the way, told me that if they sent their own electrician it would add more than $750 to their estimate. My response.....whaaattt???

We are so very pleased we have discovered Cooper! Everyone from the sales team to the install team to the office has been nothing but responsive and a pleasure to work with.  You really get the sense they care and take pride in providing excellent service at a fair price. They will be our go to for all our heating, cooling and electrical needs from now on.

I have had Cooper Heating and Cooling in my home 3 times now. My home was built in 2013 and I don't think the systems have been maintained. I am so thankful to know everything is in good working order now. Regular checks and maintenance are really important to me. Matthew Carpenter was professional and followed great business practices, explaining everything in advance AND reiterating when we settled up. Very personable man and the service technician with him was also great. I feel I have established a connection for my air and heat needs. I haven't lived here long, so those like me know how hard it is to establish these kind of relationships.

Cooper was out yesterday to install our new HVAC system which includes a power humidifier. The installation went smoothly; they were in and out in about 7 hours with all of the work done to completion.

Everything was installed as we specified, including relocating the furnace back farther in the room, and putting the AC unit in a particular spot. The work was done cleanly and professionally! Jesse and Mohammed walked us through everything and made sure we knew what we needed to know. Alex did a fine job on the electrical and walked us through his work too. We were very pleased with the installation overall.

We already have the smart thermostat configured with schedules and it's super easy to use from our phones.

Also, Kacie was excellent as our comfort advisor when we signed on, and made suggestions that no other companies bothered with.

Cooper's team was amazing. I received a response back within 10 minutes of submitting a request and Liz was able to schedule a same day appointment. Eric notified me when he'd be arriving and arrived within that time frame even with all the snow. He was immediately able to identify the problem and fixed it within the hour. Price was as quoted as well. I will be using them for future servicing and/or repairs.

We used Cooper Heating & Cooling through Costco to Install central air conditioning in our home. From our initial estimate through the day of the install (and even after), Cooper has been wonderful to work with. Their prices seem to be right in line with the other estimates we received, but the customer service was light years ahead of the other vendors we spoke with, which is why we ultimately went with Cooper.

Our sales rep William, along with our installers Reza and Gholam worked together to provide a creative solution to cool our home. We have an older home with lots of character, so it required a bit of creative thinking to figure out how to properly install central AC (other vendors have told us it was not doable). Throughout the process, William went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The installers showed up on time and were courteous and professional. These guys do what they say they are going to do, which isn't the case for a lot of the other companies in this space. In my experience, their great reputation is well-earned.

I decided upon using Cooper as they were the company recommended by Costco for a Lennox Air Conditioner install. We have been homeowners for over 40 years and have never worked with a more professional company. Their work is top notch and in addition, they identified a few issues with the initial install of our heater by the builder and they repaired them and prevented any further damage to our heater from a poor install. I plan to sign up with Cooper for the bi-annual plan to ensure my heater and air conditioner last for many years to come. The installers knew their business quite well!

AC installed in May. Over 15 techs in 8-10 visits and we have no AC and now a new born in the house. 0 communication from techs back and rarely follow up after being promised. We trusted them because they were through Costco but DO NOT EVEN CALL THEM FOR AN ESTIMATE. We are now waiting to see if they will give us a refund since they have a Money back guarantee. Will need to find a real company to fix this disaster and maybe get AC for our new born.

We purchased a furnace, humidifier, and AC from Cooper heating and cooling. They installed all appliances approximately 3 years ago. Their technicians are fabulous but policies are simply complicated and expensive. Their mark up on appliances are typically 200% - we just had to replace a 3 year old condensator pump as it was out of warranty after just 2 years - it cost almost 350 dollars but when we searched online it can be purchased for 45 dollars from Home Depot
Furnace Warranties are only valid based on yearly inspections which may be typical but that information wasn't provided to us - but its in the small print. Plus trip charges if service is required of 129 dollars.
The tech that did the work was very professional and provided tips that should ensure the pump  doesn't break after just a couple of years.
And if it does - well we wont be calling Cooper.

Purchased HVAC (Furnace, air conditioner, humidifier) through Costco.  Units were installed by Cooper HVAC.  No issues with installation, and prices very reasonable and fair.

My sole gripe is with their prepaid annual maintenance plans. They seem like a good deal offering reasonable savings.  But buyer beware, they are not refundable, and are not transferrable.

Perhaps this is industry standard, I don't know.  However, I purchased a1 yr maintenance plan in Aug, 2018 when the units were installed.  In Aug 2019, they cam out and serviced the units and did a good job.  I was pleased.  So I purchased another annual service plan for 2020 expecting to have them service my HVAC units again n Aug 2020. The trouble is, things change, and we moved away in March 2020 well ahead of the prepaid planned service in Aug 2020.

I contacted Cooper and requested a refund to which they informed me that all prepaid yearly service agreements are neither refundable nor transferable.  Sure enough, right there in the Disclosure section of the Annual Maintenance Agreement, it states that Maintenance Agreements are not refundable or transferable.  Shame on me for not fully reading the agreement.  So I am simply out of luck, and out $228.

I just want the buyer to beware while the savings associated with a Cooper Annual Maintenance Agreement may be an incentive to purchase, PLEASE READ THE DISCLOSURE as it states that these agreements are not refundable, not transferrable.

Expensive lesson learned!!!

Awful.  We depended on them twice in one week.  We should have learned after they cancelled on us the first time (no bad weather, just an emergency) but when they rescheduled and apologized we gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled them again.  They again cancelled, so now we have to wait to get true professionals to our home to do the job.  Do not hire them!!!!  It's a waste of your time.

So I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my whole house fan wasn't blowing anymore. I tried it with the furnace and air conditioning and nothing was working. I got online and looked at Angie's List reviews and picked Rocky Mtn Climate because of their reviews. They came and diagnosed a few days later, and told me it would be about 2,000 to replace my variable speed blower. I called Cooper Heating and Cooling who I had used years ago for my parents and had been very pleased. I was told it could only cost 1500 for the same job. They were professional, gave great advice, and I saved 500. I wish I had just gone with them initially. They did a great job and now I have heat again just before the cold weather slams us.

Got a new furnace through Cooper and they did a good job from the sales visit to install.  Several issues were found with our existing venting, which meant removing some drywall to address, and they handled the situation well.  Great communication and impacts minimized.

With cash or Costco discount their prices were inline with the other good reputation options around here.  Happy to recommend Cooper.

In 2015, I was planning to put in a new furnace and get AC for the first time.  I was at Costco where I learned of Cooper.  Costco had taken a few years and lots of time to find a company behind whom they could put their support, and that was Cooper.

From the time the salesperson came to give me a quote, through installation, and maintenance (check ups) since then, not to mention calling on them for a plumbing problem in March of this year, they have been outstanding professionals.  The entire HVAC system was installed in May 2015.  I received a discount from them, a 2% return on my purchases through Costco, and a rebate from Xcel.

It gives me such peace of mind to know I have a company I can trust for my heating and cooling, plumbing, and electrical needs.  I highly recommend Cooper for all of their services.

We had Cooper install our AC a few years back and they did a great job then, so when we lost our heat overnight we felt comfortable having them come for the repair.  Called in the morning and technician Cesar arrived later in the afternoon.  He was extremely professional and diagnosed the problem quickly.  We were afraid our 15 plus year old furnace would need replaced but a new ignitor put us back in business.  Cesar even advised us of an online coupon for $50 off the repair! I have had my HVAC system up and running for about 1.5 years now. I did join the Cooper Green team to make sure I got my yearly service. I have been impressed by the techs that I have interacted with.

Recently, the thermostat that was 1.5 years old would not connect to my home WiFi. I reset routers, reconnected, etc, all to no avail. I called Cooper to schedule a sercice call. The dispatcher did say that there wa a $129 service fee that the tech would waive if it was warranty work. Tech arrived, did his own trouble shooting, said he needed to replace the thermostat and that wasa covered by warrranty. They still charged the $129 service fee, even though it was warranty work. Keep in mind if you had several issues in a year, all covered by warranty, they would still charge you $129 per visit. That is a bad business model and I will be canceling my Green team membership and will find another Lennox dealer that has a less petty business model.

Called for a heating related service and needed a very small plumbing issue resolved. I'm told that heating tech is not capable of plumbing issues. Btw, plumbing issue is as simple as sweating a solder joint on a copper line. They had to send plumber out and he wouldn't repair, only replace hose bib and line connection. Now I've paid for 2 house calls and additional charge for more work. Cooper may be Colorado's larger company but do yourself a favor and hire the small business guy that's not worried about making excuses about being sued for working at your home. Thanks for the 10 minute lawyer talk!! BS!

Cooper sent out their finest (former Marine Cesar Rodriguez, and yes I thanked him for serving our Great Country), with over 19 years of experience in fixing heating and cooling systems. He went right to work after listening to my home's cooling issues, and knew exactly what the problem was. He spent over two hours at my home doing diagnostics and testing to fix the problem. My home apparently had installation issues, and the 'zones' on the upper level were not programmed correctly. And since we had the machine on such a low temperature, we ran out of coolant. Let me point out my mistakes so the reader can understand and prevent them as well. I had called several other companies who checked out the machine in the course of almost 3 years, even the one who had originally installed it. They do not understand how to program different zones and they also charge a ridiculous fee to check the output and pressure from your home's vents. However, Cooper Cooling and Heating do this test automatically when they provide a service call. Let me show you the difference. Other companies will charge anywhere from $150-180 for a service call plus $250 to check the vents. Cooper charged me $129.00 for a service call, which includes checking all the vents output. Obviously programming the zones and adding the coolant were extra, but shouldn't every air conditioning company know how to do this? Especially if they are Lenox specialists? Please take my advice and only call Cooper Heating and Air conditioning. They are the most professional, their staff the most experienced, and they are the most reliable. Even when my furnace shut down in the winter, they checked it out and guaranteed to return free of charge if it happened again (within a certain time frame of course.)
They are also available 24 hours a day. In a heat wave of 100 degrees they saved our lives, and they can save yours too.

Cooper is my favorite heating and ac company. They arrive in a timely manner and wear a mask and feet coverings. They are thorough in the annual furnace maintenance and even take pictures so I can see the conditions inside the system from year to year. Santosh came out to tune up and diagnose my AC unit. The problem usually happens at the end of the day but I made the mistake of scheduling in the morning, so he wasn't able to hear the noise I called about, but he gave me a few suggestions on what the problems could be and how we could fix them. I'd had the capacitor replaced less than a month ago but he pointed out a different capacitor that may be a better fit for the need. Prompt and honest service, just what I was hoping for.

I interviewed and received proposals from 4 heating and cooling companies to replace our failing 18 year old system (AC, Furnace and Thermostat).  Will Babin (with Cooper) came to our home, listened to our needs, spent 2 hours measuring our home square footage, our window sizes and orientations and determined the best new Lennox system to meet our objectives.
Cooper's prices were competitive with the other proposals I received; however, I was most impressed with Will's knowledge, expertise, and recommendations to solve our cooling deficiencies.  The decision to go with Cooper was an easy choice to make.
Matt Stadelman was the foreman on installation day.  All new equipment installations and duct modifications were conducted in one day.  Matt's professionalism, equipment knowledge and craftsmanship were very impressive.  I also appreciated Matt's time to explain the operational highlights of our new system.  County Mechanical and Electrical inspections followed soon thereafter, with passage of both.  I even received unsolicited comments from the inspectors such as:  a professional job done right the first time and Cooper is a great company and has been around for quite some time.
Everyone I met with, or had telephone discussion with from Cooper, were courteous, professional and sincerely helpful.  Our new system works wonderfully and we couldn't be happier.  Thanks everyone at Cooper Heating and Cooling!!

Rep tried to upsell me everywhere, I was lied to about a few things including the condition of my furnace and the thermostat offered. They charged on average 800 to 1k more than other hvac companies, and botched the install.  My furnace stopped working randomly and after calling home warranty for 3 visits we found out the problem was caused by a horrible ac install, and found out they hid problems such as freezing lines (due to improperly installed connections to coil) without telling me. I ended up paying 100 bucks for home warranty to take a look due completely to their horrible install since they held the possibility of a 129 dollar charge in front of me if it turned out it wasn't an ac problem. They did the wiring improperly, lied about checking the coil, mixed up the coil vapor/liquid line inputs, hid a freezing problem (that happened because of the improper install in the first place), gave me the cheapest crappiest thermostat compared to literally ever other hvav company and forgot to install the backplate, forgot about 1lb of refrigerant because of the freezing problem they tried to cover up, all while charging a premium.

Note this could be just one bad install experience, and I am calling to see if they will hold to their customer service guarentee and fix this as well as refund me the cost of my home warranty visit that was completely due to their failed install, if they do this I will happily increase the rating due to good customer service, but as of now I feel scammed, ripped off, and now stuck with a half working ac.

Wow I just got off the phone. Excited about their ability to come out today. She told me there was a 150 fee to come out which I was ok with but she said that the technician can either waive the fee or not but it is up to the technician. I wanted to use their services but the fact that if I wanted to have it fixed there is the chance that the technician can choose not to honor the waver and charge me plus the cost to fix the hot water heater.

At first, I had Will Vest come to my home to evaluate my current A/C and Furnace. They were very old (39yrs old!) Will did not try to hard sell me. He advised me of my options and thoroughly explained how the systems work and the cons of having an older system, he did however note that my system was still functioning.  We decided to wait to buy a new system, but this summer the A/C went out, we had it repaired, and it went out again.....We knew it was time to call Will again and have a new system put in.  Will was very professional and answered ALL the questions I had, Then he scheduled my install. Tyler and his crew came out on time to install my new system.  They were extremely professional, kind and thorough.  We were not inconvenienced and they worked hard to get the job done in one day. They made a special note to lay down floor coverings to keep our floors from getting dirty or scratched, after they were done they made sure to go over everything with us.  I can not recommend Will and Tyler with Cooper enough.  Thanks for a great new system! We love it!

Very disappointed in this company.  I have had them out at least three times for the same issue.

Last it snowed (of course) and the furnace would not light again!  I called them for service as they advertise that there is no extra charge for 24/7 emergency services.  The first thing they told me was they couldn't guarantee a time which was ok as I didn't have an appt. but they would charge a $183.00 special charge to come out today.

I asked why as this was opposite of what they advertised.  They said this was a special circumstance.  So I don't know why my emergency was somehow a special circumstance or why any emergency would be.  I cancelled my request and went with another company that did guarantee a time slot and only an $80 service call.,

I gave Cooper a number of opportunities to get it right and they never did.  I will no longer offer them my business.

They had some trouble with the install and had to move the location of my thermostat and cut several holes in the walls and ceilings around my house,  which I did not approve. I'm not happy about that, but then they told me another company would call me to set up an appointment to come fix the holes, and they still haven't called me, 3 weeks after install. The thermostat they supplied does not work as expected either.

I also had a bit of trouble with the salesman they sent. He was late several times, and lost several key pieces of paperwork, including the check I gave him and the measurements he took of my furnace. He gave us the wrong quote on the price and also pointed out the wrong location where the AC unit would be placed. When I balked about the price being higher than what I was quoted, he was nice enough to upgrade us to a better unit, so I can't complain about the price. I also got a good rebate, about 15%, from Costco for going through them, which is a very nice perk. The price was great, but I'm just not sure I can recommend Cooper.

High prices of $625 and hour and Costco deal is a joke. I asked the representative at Costco the price for install of a whole house humidifier.
I was told I had to set up an appointment for them to come look at the furnace and they could give me a quote at that time. I set up the appointment a week out.  I was also told I would get a Costco discount.  At the time I was waiting for the technician to show up I got a phone call stating that this is not an issue that a technician is required to come out to my house for and he would give me a quote for a whole house humidifier over the phone. ( I had arranged my day to be home for this appointment and the company had a week to figure that out and could have called me earlier).  I explained I had a whole house humidifier that no longer works so the electric and water is already to the unit, It just needs to be swapped out.  I was told there is only one price for the job which was $3200.  I confirmed with him that the unit itself is $700 from my previous research which he confirmed.  I was told the typical install time is 4 hours.  Obviously will not need all that time if they are not running water and electric lines to the unit. With a typical install they would be making $625 hour.  I asked if my Costco discount is included and what that discount is, he replied $10 and that he included it.  So I guess non-Costco members pay $3210?  I told him I had a cheaper quote of $2700 he said they had been really slow so he would ask his supervisor if he could match that and call me right back.  He never called me back.  I have since then called Nytech in Castle Rock and they have given me a quote for $2200 this is not discounted due to having a previous unit.   Very poor costumer service and outrageous charges by Cooper Heating and Cooling.

I've had a half a dozen estimates and Stephen with Cooper was the most professional of all of them. He's a clean-cut will spoken person and his presentation was spot on.  I was really impressed by his recap text message afterwards.

Costco connected me to Cooper and they were able came on my day off (Tuesday). Got a new furnace installed with everything explained to me. Very happy with the new furnace my house is warmer than before on the few chilly mornings we had so far and the circulate fan feature is making the whole house have an even temperature. I also had the electrician put in a new outlet so I could move the freezer.

We recently had a air conditioner replaced by Cooper, using their Costco relationship. The process could not have gone better.  We had used them 8 years ago to replace our furnace.  From the estimating process, which was a thorough 2 hour analysis of what we needed, to the install, by Chris and Aireus, it went well. At first glance Chris & Aireus were neat in appearance and very professional. They got right to work and were very good and explaining the process and answering any questions that I had.  It took about 5-6 hours and when they were done, the house was just as clean as when they got here.  I highly recommend Cooper.

We have a massive remodel project underway, and after starting some of the electric and plumbing work ourselves, we knew we needed to call in the professionals. We have had the pleasure of working with several different Cooper teams including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC guys, and I have to say, we will never use anyone else! They are all experienced professionals who took our every concern and request into consideration, went above and beyond at every turn, and made our vision come true! We highly recommend the Cooper Green Team to everyone for their heating/cooling, plumbing, and electrical needs. Shout out to everyone who worked on this project including Caleb Hughes, Joel Morton, Jason Bixler, Kevin Isbel, Andy Hoke, Brett Maytubby, and Robbie Maestas. Hands down, you guys are the best!

Set up appointment for Tuesday and they called in the morning and said they couldn't make it.due to emergencies. (I had taken day off work for that).

Set up another appointment for 4 pm on Thursday and they called at 9 am and said they can't do it today either due to the number of appointments.

Have used them in the past with good results, but not this week!

We needed a new furnace/water heater so I had 3 companies come out to bid the work. From the start I loved the sales person from Cooper, Terry - he was honest, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions - a true gentleman. Plus the company got great reviews on our neighborhood website. I thought their prices were going to be higher than the others but with Terry working hard to get me the best rebates and discounts, the price came in lower than the others. The installers were extremely professional and courteous as well. A great experience from start to finish without breaking the bank! Kudos to quality service across the board from Cooper!!

Our hot water heater started leaking this past weekend. We have previous experience with Cooper Heating & Cooling in servicing  our heating and air conditioning system. One call to their 24/7 service on Sunday morning enabled us to arrange for a replacement water heater on Monday morning. The installers were prompt and very courteous. They made sure everything was completed as specified. We had hot water again before  lunchtime. I will be recommending Cooper Heating & Cooling to our friends and family.

We decided to replace our aging furnace this fall, and add an air conditioner. Cooper came in near the least expensive, but not quite, so we initially hired a different company. That other company could not figure out how to run the PVC exhaust for the high efficiency furnace and asked us to consider a new 80% furnace instead. We called Cooper back and they came back on site with an install tech to verify that they could indeed run the exhaust. They even came down in price to within spitting distance of what the other company's negotiated price. The installers were punctual and got the whole system installed in 1 day as promised and we are very happy with the new system. I had some questions about the work done to the electrical panel and they scheduled for the electrician to come out and take a look, just like everyone else from Cooper he was super friendly and informative and answered all of my questions. Everyone I dealt with was professional, friendly, and competent, and I will definitely use them for any future HVAC work that I need.

This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.  A year ago I called them up to see if they fixed swamp coolers.  They said yes.  I told the woman on the phone that I was most likely going to need part of the 1/4 copper tube replaced.

The tech shows up a few days later and we get on the roof so I can show him what is happening.  He tells me this is the first swamp cooler he has ever seen.  That's right, the tech they sent to fix my swamp cooler had never actually seen one.  I mean I can't even begin to say how ridiculous this is.  Then when he agrees with me that some of the 1/4 copper pipe needs to be replaced he tells me that he didn't bring any.  I straight up told the woman on the phone that I would need to replace this and her tech didn't even put any in his truck.  So he had to drive back to the warehouse and get some.

After he got back and patched up the pipe the drain valve was leaking.  He just looks at me and says well I guess you are gonna have to go down to Home Depot and get a replacement for that and fix it.  He didn't even carry a $2 part to complete the job and then told me to fix it myself.  What an absolute joke.

That happened a year ago and I got over it.  But then a year later almost to the date I start getting calls and emails saying that the original charge never went through and that I owed them almost $300.  When I call them up to ask why it had taken them a year to let me know all they could say was that their system had problems and the man on the phone had said they were getting a lot calls asking about this same thing and he had no answer.  You would think that if a lot of people were calling about this issue you would have a better answer than Our system had problems.  But clearly that was asking too much of this company.  Definitely in the top 5 worst customer service experiences of my life.  This is a prime example of a larger company that doesn't care about it's customers and only the almighty dollar.  Do yourself a favor and small local shop.  Most of them know how to treat their customers.

Avoid this company by all means. Customer service is their last priority. I have never been so dissatisfied not only with the service, but also with the scheduling. They make you jump through hoops and run up ladders just to schedule an appointment with an tech who will arrive and not know what to do. If you want a company with superior service in Boulder try Barday Heating and Plumbing or Ajax A/C and Heating.

We've had a few different people from Cooper's come to our house in the last 2 months to work on our Lennox heating/air conditioning unit while we've gone through a remodel and every single person who came to our home as well as the people we spoke to on the phone were extremely professional and really kind and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure things were connected and set up properly and even helped to reprogram our unit as well as changing out air filter for no charge because they noticed it was dirty. They always put paper booties over their shoes before coming inside and wiping down and cleaning off any surface they used in our home.

We have had our unit for almost 2 years but during the remodel the system broke down due to some electrical work. They came out 2 times to check on the unit before they were finally able to turn it back on during the 3rd visit (we had to wait for the dust to settle before it could be safely turned on). They were very careful not to do anything too soon that would end up requiring us to pay for repairs and were really honest; not trying to rip us off at all. In fact they waived all of their service charges because of some misunderstandings regarding whether our warranty covered all the work or not and they went above and beyond in helping to explain how the unit works and what kinds of things could cause us to damage it. They could not have been more professional and friendly, we are really pleased and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Very thorough.  Very very thorough.

It took four visits before our installation to check and double check to make sure the AC would fit in our basement.  They did an amazing job on the install.  Stayed on schedule, and cleaned up on their way out.  These guys are very knowledgable about their products and worked with us to make the installation process clean and quick.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is because of the many hours in prep work, but I suppose it was worth it in the end.

These guys are great at what they do.

I would have given them one star however I take some responsibility for not shopping around more. The first thing you should know is that they charge $260 an hour. Yup that's right that's $530K annually if you work a 40 hour week. Granted you have to deduct insurance, payroll taxes and other expenses, but still pretty hefty.  When I questioned this (after the work was done) I was told its because they do quality work. I did question the $130 they charged to install a fan switch that was battery operated, that's right you remove the wall switch and replace it with a battery operated switch, pop in the battery and install with two screw. They did reduce this cost to $65. I had 5 (or so I thought) bathroom fan switches converted to timers at $65 each. Went to clean the bathroom off the spare bedroom a few weeks later and found the uninstalled timer sitting on the counter. This is what you get for $260 an hour

Beware! this company only wants to relieve you of as much of your money as possible! they overcharged me by at least $100.00 on a simple air conditioner checkup  and thermostat install. Also had them give me a estimate on some pretty simple household electrical work. I was quoted $3700.00! I then got a second quote from another company for $550.00. I will never use them again,

I have worked with Cooper for years and they installed our furnace, air conditioner, humidifier, and electronic air cleaner, about 4 years ago. Excellent service to this point. I had a seasonal furnace inspection and at that time, I told the tech that the humidifier was not working and suspected the solenoid. To fix the solenoid, required the shutoff valve to the hot water tank to be turned off. That shutoff valve was installed more recently by Cooper. When the tech tried to replace the solenoid, hot water sprayed under pressure even though the valve was in the off position. It sprayed all over the drywall and floor soaking the adjacent carpet. The tech then indicated the valve failed and indicated a senior tech would need to come out to repair and the office should call to schedule. After waiting a few days with no call form the office, I reached out to schedule the next repair visit. Cooper sent another HVAC tech out and he indicated that it appeared that the solenoid for the humidifier failed, and that the Cooper installed water valve was not shutting off and would not allow a solenoid repair. The tech indicated that a Cooper plumber would need to come out to repair the valve before a Cooper HVAC tech could repair the solenoid to fix the humidifier. When Cooper did not call to follow up, I called about 10 days later, and Cooper indicated that there would be a service call for the plumber to come out, plus repair charges. I indicated that the root cause of the issue was a valve that Cooper installed, and I asked if I would also need to pay a service call when the HVAC tech would then come out after the plumber to fix the $10 solenoid part. The scheduler indicated after 3 periods of being on extended hold, that she would need to speak with the Plumbing Manager and would call me back after the weekend. Well its Wednesday, and no call from the Cooper office. After numerous calls to schedule and periods of being on hold, dealing with multiple departments within Cooper to get a simple solenoid fixed for a humidifier, it was surprising that this was not handled better. After having multiple systems, including the at fault water valve and humidifier installed by Cooper, I would have thought the customer service and follow up would have been better. I asked on the last call to speak with a manager directly but the scheduler, after periods of being put on hold, indicated they were not available. Not sure why we ended up with me writing this less than favorable review, but from my perspective, customer service is lacking in the areas of follow up. From techs to schedulers, and especially managers. Disappointing for a previous customer who purchased those systems from Cooper directly.

Just had a great experience with Cooper today. I had then come out to inspect my ac and furnace and clean my ac evap coils. The tech, Arnold was nice knowledgeable and friendly. He worked really hard to clean some really nasty evap coils. Now my ac is running great!

The price was fair and they were able to come out the same day I contacted them. I really appreciate their friendly service and will definitely use them again. (4 stars cause I don't read 5 star reviews, and I hope people read this)

Really great job!

We nursed our approximately 60 year old Lennox furnace until it couldn't run another mile, or even another minute. After taking 3 bids from independent contractors and then Louisa remembered that we'd picked up HVAC literature at Costco. She contacted them and they sent Cooper HVAC to inspect and make a bid. We chose to purchase another Lennox through Costco. Their contract with Cooper HVAC was handled quickly and professionally. The next day a team of 5 showed up to make the necessary repairs to the electrical and removal of the old furnace. We could not be more pleased with their professionalism, courtesy and how quickly they had us back into full house heating mode with minimal inconvenience to us. We had the use of a temporary heater, but there's nothing like the real thing. As you may know, I am a Realtor and I am looking forward to recommending Cooper HVAC!

STAY AWAY from Cooper Green team!! We had our ac go out...which they installed. After 4 hours the tech said we need a new conpressor because the outdoor screen had pine dust on it. The charge for labor would be $3000 plus parts because the warranty would be voided  due to the pine dust.  They called to set up the appt and we said we wanted a second opinion...with that the manager said if we wanted to go ahead it would be $1250 INCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR. Upon scheduling another Lennox repairman the problem was diagnosed...the expansion valve was stuck...a $80 part. So learn from others and STAY AWAY from the Cooper Green team!! They don't even deserve 1 star

We have been using Cooper for several year. They did a fabulous job at our previous house. Their technicians were knowledgeable and helpful. We felt it was a company we could trust.  After a recent move, we called them for a furnace cleaning and inspection, plus possibly installing a whole house humidifier. The technician they sent this time kept trying to sell us more expensive items--a $3500 humidifier vs. $1000, a $500 air filter system vs. no system and just a plain filter. He kept telling us how wonderful the new/more expensive items were and how he used the same in his own house, even after we told him we couldn't afford the items at this point. This is not the Cooper we used to know. We're very disappointed in the direction Cooper is going now. We'll think twice about contacting them in the future.

This review is specifically for Chris (one of their sales reps).  Of all the companies I received bids from, Chris was the one rep who was 100% honest through the process, never pushing systems we did not need.  Even though he is on commission (common with all sales reps), he saw the limitations of our ductwork and recommended we downgrade the system I initially inquired about because our ducts would not support it.  There are about 15 sales reps at this company so I can not speak to the quality of the other reps but I would highly recommend anyone work with Chris!

We were very disappointed with our installation of a new furnace and AC. A few of the reasons we were not happy customers:
1. They send out someone to provide and estimate and either the person did not properly scope the work OR the people they sent out did not know what they were doing.
2. We waited 3 weeks for our appointment and were told it would take a day. After the day was done we were told that it was not going to be finished and the office would call to schedule other people to come out first thing the next morning.
3. We did not hear from the office so called around noon and the person on the other end said that it looked like our project was 100% done and they were not informed it was not completed. They scheduled the repair for 6 days out.
4. We get a call later that day and then they move the completion date out further than the 6 days. If I don't finish my work at the end of the day I either work late OR finish it the next day. It baffles me how companies think they can treat customers this way.
5. We ordered a humidifier which on the second visit they told us they could not install because our crawl space needed insulation. The tech also told us he never had installed one of these in a crawl space before. If they had told us that a) when they scoped the initial work or b) when they finished the first day of work we could have had insulation installed in the crawl space.
6. No one once apologized for the delays or not being able to complete the work they committed to doing.

Very pleased with the salesman, Curt, who came to our home on time, was professional, courteous and answered all of our questions. He was also very prompt in returning calls. The front desk staff was courteous as well, and I booked with Cooper after meeting with several different businesses based on this show of professionalism, despite their bid being higher than others.

I was very disappointed, however, that the install crew did not display that the professionalism displayed by sales/staffing team. Not even close! I originally wrote a long and detailed review citing several disrespectful remarks, unprofessional behavior and difficult demands made by the install crew that made install day absolute misery. I was VERY DISSATISFIED with their performance and the ultimatums given to me in my own home. HOWEVER, I reached out to Daniel at Cooper's a few days later (after cooling down), and he kindly listened to my review and assured me that of the two crew members, one had just been let go and one just put in his two weeks notice. This eliminated my fear of having to deal with these men again for future maintenance or repairs, and stopped me from reporting them to the BBB (yes, it was that bad). I am glad that the unprofessional employees are moving on, but it does not take away the absolutely miserable experience we had in our home.

I feel a professional install crew would have earned five stars, but given our awful 9-hour install day, I am providing three. I will leave this review with Costco as well.

I have been using Cooper for nearly 20 years and for the first time disappointed but not all their fault.  Rheem water heaters are distributed and sold by Cooper and also Rheem has chosen to sell their water heaters thru Home Depot.  My water heater purchased thru Home Depot needed the Gas valve controller unit replaced.  A as I did not have time to fix it myself called Cooper.  Because I purchased this unit thru Home Depot there was a problem servicing it.  They insisted that the unit is much lower quality than the one they sell.  I'll address this below.

I knew if I wanted the warranty to cover the part I need to go directly to Rheem, either hire Cooper or put it in myself.  In this case as I understand from service man that either no part was available or they did not know the correct part for the ECO model.

When I finally called Rheem to order the part I asked if I could upgrade the part to the professional model and was told they are the same part (the controller has been upgraded for both units - my water heater 2 years old).

The water heater from Home Depot starts with ECO (stands for economy-ECORHE50).  Professional model RHE50.  Reading the material on the two models there is for all intents no difference between the Professional RHE50( rheem.com/product/reside… ) and the Ecomomy ECORHE50 ( homedepot.com/catalog/pd… ).  Do a side by side comparison.  I can say it is unlikely a manufacturer would would actually do other than a label change.  I worked for Stanley in the 1970's and we sold a good better best garage door openers.  Good advertised with a 1/3 HP and the better and best models with a 1/2 hp.  The reality, all 3 had a 1/2 hp motor.

I write only to say if you purchase a water heater from home Depot do not expect service from a Cooper.  My disappointment was quite self induced.  It is annoying that we have to watch politicians fight, now the plumbers and the retailers.  It cost me $129 service call to clarify this lesson.  Service man did say they would return and install the part for no additional service charge.

I called them this morning, 7/1, to see if a repair person could come out to help me with my AC unit.  The woman on the phone was nice enough, but said it would be 7/29 before they could make it because she has emergency appointments that come first.  I explained that I guess mine would qualify as one of these as much as anyone's because my AC is unusable until it's serviced because it is making a very loud noise that is driving my neighbor crazy.  That didn't change my date any sooner.

So I said, you know that will be fine-- let's do 7/29.  Then, AFTER getting all my personal information, she proceeds to tell me there is a $99 trip charge that doesn't apply toward any of the work or anything... just $99 just to come onsite... and I live just right down the road.  At this point I start realizing this is a rip-off.  I won't be using them for anything further.  I can understand coming out and including the cost of their time in the price of the work-- but to charge $99 up front, right down the street, without even having looked at it-- I'm not paying that for some guy to potentially come out and then say this is old, you need to buy a new one... $99 please.

Do not use this company if your time is valuable (which I would assume is everyone). My husband and I both have busy jobs and when our AC stopped working we suffered through this early season heat for a couple of weeks in order to find a date one of us could work from home and have someone come out. Fast forward to that day and they didn't show up! I called an hour before the allotted window was over and they said the technician had an emergency but no one called (which likely would have allowed me to get another service out for this date). Now I have no idea when we will be able to have someone out again and meanwhile my husband is sleeping horribly. The customer service agent described this as inconvenient. No this is unacceptable customer service and we will never be using this service again and I suggest you don't either.

Even though it has been more than a year that Cooper installed new cooling and heating systems at my home and did a good job, it is just now that I feel compelled to write a review.
One of their employees came to do the annual inspection, his name is Alex and I couldn't be more pleased with the service he provided. What a professional, knowledgeable young man! He is great asset for this company. He educated me on how to care for the humidifier and showed me some things I didn't know about my AC unit; overall a great experience.
I should mention that the other team members I had previously dealt with; from the sales person to the installers and others that had come before to service my equipment, all have been very professional, always left the work area clean and wore shoe covers at all time while inside my home.
For all these reasons I totally recommend this company. The also do plumbing and electrical and I won't hesitate to call them when I need those kind of services, I know I can trust them to do an excellent job.

If I could give this company a zero, I would.
They misdiagnosed a problem, replaced a unit and the problem persisted, so there was no evidence it was the unit itself. Phone calls were never returned, employees changed their stories, basically it was a nightmare for six months. Costco employs these folks as their Hvac contractors, but you do not have to use them to buy from Costco. Don't use them unless you want the worst customer service possible.

All the power in half of our basement apartment went out on a Sunday afternoon. I called Cooper and within an hour Kevin was out to our house. It took him about a half hour to identify one of our switch boxes in the bathroom was fried (literally fried) and replace it. He was super friendly and even put little booties on in the house. Definitely would call again for electrical issues as they were great on a Sunday even!

My experience with Cooper Heating was not good.  I called on a Friday morning about a hot water heater repair/ likely replacement, and was given a late pm appointment. When I asked about being left without hot water over the weekend, I was told that they have a fully stocked truck so they could take care of it that day.  I was also told that the $129 service charge could be applied to the installation.  Instead they came out, told me there were no parts for that model, they couldn't get the current one re-lit, and that I should call the office on Monday to schedule an installation that they quoted at $1998 for a 40 gallon tank separate from the service call!  So I basically wasted $129, and ended up getting someone a lot cheaper to come out on Saturday for the installation.

I have a complicate feeling about Cooper Heating & Cooling.

Recently I changed my gas oven to electrical. So I have two electricians from Cooper helped me to install the wires in my property. I have very positive impression about the two electricians. One is very professional and the other is very friendly. They finished their work quickly and they collaborated well. They also answered my questions with patience.

I also dealt with the gas person. I asked to the gas person to seal my gas. The gas person told me that it would take them 1 hour to finish the work and quoted the price over $100. Later I asked another gas person from another company came. He sealed the gas in 1 minute and charged me nothing. It is possible that the gas person in Cooper planed to do a better and more complicate job so the charge can be high. However I am quite doubtful about it. Also the gas person in Cooper kept asking me to buy the expensive membership which was very annoying.

Very happy to give these folks five stars. I purchased a new furnace and humidifier sixteen months ago to replace a twenty year old system that was absolute junk. The young tech who installed the system (in less than a day) was a mechanical genius!  He not only installed everything correctly the first time, but pulled out and replaced piping and ductwork that had also been poorly configured. The result was a lot more space in a very cramped furnace room and the new configuration allows me to quickly change the filter without lying on my back with my feet in the air. Not one single problem with the unit in almost a year and a half!

Other than the private plumber and private electrician I use, I hate, HATE, dealing with contractors. That is until Cooper Heating and Cooling came along.  Cooper was by far the best I have ever dealt with.  Their salesman, Jake, was a delight to deal with.  The installation team of Juan and Omar were fantastic. This company is top notch.  I found them through Costco, and am so very happy I did.  I have nothing but high accolades and great praise for this company.  We installed the top of the line Lennox 96% efficient furnace and top AC unit.  Best decision we made was was Cooper; 2nd best Lennox system.

Everyone I interacted with from Cooper was nice and answered questions I had. However, my overall experience wasn't great and I would have chosen one of the other companies I had looked into if I could do it over again.

The first sales guy that came out gave me a quote and I decided to go forward with the install less than a week later. Sales guy #1 apparently quit the company by that point and sales guy #2 comes out. I set everything up with him, then never saw him again.

Installer #1 comes out with the electrician about a week later. Apparently sales guy #2 didn't include some of the items needed so they sounded frustrated with him. 6 hour later installer #1 requests help and ends up waiting around for 3 hours when no one else from Cooper came out to help him.

I had to set up another appointment and take work off to try and finish things. Installer #2 and #3 come out about a week later and were never told from installer #1 that they needed a drill to get through a wall. They can't do anything and leave.

I had to set up a 3rd installation appointment to try and finish things. Installers #2 and #3 are back out with their contractor that does drilling and get everything working (from what I can tell).

A bunch of small things that were promised never got installed. Some ceiling holes were never covered back up. Doors and closet shelves were torn down but never put back up. A wifi thermostat was promised but the first one installer #1 tried was broken. I asked the other installers about it but it never got resolved.

As I mentioned, everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, but the company seems to lack organization. For paying thousands of dollars I was hoping to have everything taken care of and I feel like it wasn't.

Edit 4-15-2014, looks like I have to fax in another form because they lost it the first time.

Cooper heating and cooling did a great job. I hired them through Costco, and would hire again! Workers were courteous and professional, the job was done above and beyond what I asked, and my consultant, Niklas, was great as well!  I would definitely go with Cooper again.

We have had problems every year with our Cooper install.  We call for someone to fix it and they say the next emergency appt is a week out if they even call back.  The unit constantly stops working when we need it most and cooper is unable to provide reasonable support.  Stay Away!

I can personally recommend these guys as the best heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical contractors on the front range. They take their time to plan the job correctly, to install the job correctly and will keep coming back until the the customer is satisfied. The whole team is committed to customer service and pricing is competitive - even though their expertise is probably worth more.

We had these guys install a new super high efficiency Lennox furnace and humidification system.

The salesman was nice and knowledgeable about the product.  The deal via Costco was great.  The installers were fast and professional.

No funny stories or crazy events - just a good deal well installed.

They installed 2 cooling units for us this summer. Seemed to do a good job, but now we are having trouble with one of them. My husband has called a few times to have them come look at it, and nobody will call us back.
We also wanted them to look at a unit at our office, and again, nobody would call us back so we took our business elsewhere. Point being, they don't seem to call paying customers back, so beware....

Don't bother making an appointment with these guys, they won't show up. They were over an hour late the first time, then called and said they weren't coming but they gave me a quote over the phone without seeing my house-very odd. The quote had a range of $1,200, so it was useless. The second time around they called and left a voicemail that was just 100% static, so when I called in the middle of my 2 hour window they said it was too late to come. I told them when I made the appointment to just show up and I'll be there, they agreed to do that and then couldn't be bothered to keep an appointment. I'm glad I learned what a terrible company this is, with god awful customer service, before I allowed them to do anything in my house. I know that they wouldn't have done a good job based on the fact they can't follow simple things like being on time and actually showing up.

I don't know about the HVAC service, but the driver couldn't be bothered to move over on 287 this morning.  There was nobody in the right lane and 324-WUM just hung out in the left lane while I had to wait for him to drive by.  If they provide as rude of a service experience I wouldn't want to deal with them.

We had two Lennox heat pumps and a humidification system install in March of 2016.

A problem came up with one of the units a week ago.  Brent B. came out on a warranty call the next day and immediately diagnosed the problems. Parts were ordered and installed by Brent the following Saturday.  He did a great job providing this warranty service. I would recommend Cooper Heating and Cooling for new installations, replacement systems, and service.

Recently had a furnace installed, sales person was fine, followed up and was professional.  We did go through Costco and are waiting for the rebate check, very good experience.
The two man crew was here right on time with all the necessary equipment for the entire project, very clean during the entire process.  Took just over five hours.
After four competitive bids they were in the middle, Lenox furnace.
Best of luck

I've had them install 1 AC/Furnaces in my home, and used them for installs of AC/Furnaces in 2 in rentals I manage.  The installers are great.  They are on time, clean, professional, respectful - I don't have enough good things to say about them.

But, not everyone gets everything right.  They glued down the safety switch on my home AC.  Water kept leaking onto my floor.  Since my water heater was right next to the AC/furnace, I thought the water heater went out and bought a new one.  Then it happened again.  I thought I bought a faulty water heater and replaced it again.  It wasn't until the 3rd time I realized the water wasn't coming from the water heater, but the AC!  They came out and fixed it no charge.

That was at the end of last summer.  This year, summer just started.  I went to turn on the AC, temp reading 77.  I turned it to cool until 73.  Nothing.  I turned it down lower.  Nothing.

I called Cooper and they are trying to send someone out as quick as possible.  BUT, they want to charge me a trip charge.  I'm not convinced that this isn't an installation/unit issue.  They installed it 2 years ago, and since it's brand new should be working fine.

I've also had major issues with one of the ladies in the office.  I finally went to the owner about her.  She was in charge of inspections, but now she seems to be in charge of Costco rebate cash cards.  She is completely incompetent and never gets back to you.

And the saga continues.  Another installation, and now the AC is condensing onto the floor, and through the ceiling to the unit below.  I'm not paying for it this time.  I called last night at 10pm to have someone come out this morning.  I called this morning at 8:30am to double check.  Turns out, they didn't have me on the schedule - not even a record of me.  What?  The lady the night before took ALL of my information.

So, I get to wait around all day?  Seriously?

I cannot stress enough how unpleasant it has been working with Cooper Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical. While there are too many specific complaints to list here, I have found errors and omissions in the billing process to be extremely frustrating and having three separate appointments, each requiring two hour window of time, to conduct a simple energy audit to be inappropriate. I chose to work with this company because of the cash back offered by Costco but I regret the choice despite of the cash back and do not plan on using this company again.

If you employ this company, look over your contract carefully. And check your work order against the contract, or you won't get what you paid for. Avoid this company that has poor customer service and leaves it's customers on the hook and without heat. Some of their crews know what they are doing, like the crew that installed my attic furnace and AC. Had a different experience with the crew who installed my basement furnace and AC. The main furnace is still not operational 3 days after the installation, and the company is in no hurry to get back and finish the job. Meanwhile, our family is freezing and turning on the oven for heat. The company has poor customer service, and doesn't have enough people to finish the job they started because their crews are on other projects. I think they should finish their current project before going on to new ones. Meanwhile, I've had to call 3 times to get them to schedule time to come back and finish the furnace/AC install they've left incomplete! And every time I call, the company asks me what still needs to be done! Really! The techs who left the job incomplete said they put in detailed notes. I engaged this company through Costco, and thought that would be a guarantee. Not true! If you buy from Cooper, you are buying a problem!

Don't go with Cooper Heating and Cooling. They came out in February, completed a full site evaluation and quoted us around $6000 including the crane to put the unit on our roof. When they came to do the work they said getting a ladder up to our second story was too dangerous. So, we played phone tag for two more months trying to get an answer from them on next steps. They then said we need to pay another $2500 for scaffolding. We told them the install was included in our quote and so they responded they wouldn't do it. Funny enough, we are having other electrical work done today and they have a ladder safely in the exact location that Cooper refused. Additionally, we have to go through Costco to get the $6000 we paid them four months ago. We also have to start from scratch again to find another company while temps are quickly heating up. I wish we would have known Cooper was a bait-and-switch company.

Great sales person, Justine. Listened to our concerns and was knowledgeable and helpful. Installers stumbled a bit, finally have system running well. Good men. Electricians were fast and effective. I shared our concerns of plumbing work with Cooper rep. Usual we try to please everyone story, yet no desire to remedy what we believe to be shoddy plumbing work.
We like the heat, expect to appreciate the AC and have a system that will last a long time.  If feel better if we would have seen a remedy to alter plumbing issue.

Cooper did quality work and there was an added bonus you can get cash back, savings, and financing through Costco. Our sales rep was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. HOWEVER, their scheduling system needs a complete overhaul. They didn't allocate enough resources or time to complete our job. Instead of returning the next day to finish we were rescheduled 2 days later. When that day came, they were 3 hours late due to be delayed on another job which leads me to believe they also weren't resourced for that job either. I had to call them about every 45 minutes for updates. No one proactively reached out to me. I wanted to like them, but they really had poor communication and a bad business model to continue to take on new jobs without finishing what they started..

Called Cooper to fix a small leak within my furnace and they arrived in less than 2 hours.  That's awesome service!  Sam was friendly, professional, and explained what he would be looking for.  When he opened the furnace, he saw the problem right away, and told me not to worry about a thing, it's a quick fix and everything is under warranty.  He even wiped the whole unit down afterwards because it was pretty dusty from nearby construction in the basement.  I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.  Also, all the phone people I spoke with were friendly and had a great sense of humor when I was trying to explain my issues.

Saved by Cooper again... I am so stupid. I think I can fix stuff in my house just because I used to own a bike shop and work on bikes and then got into computers fixing them and network systems. Well a house is not the same I am finding out. It may seem simple and normally it should be but dealing with things where I over think everything is not good for home repair. There is a right way and a wrong way and this is the second time in 3 months I have done it the wrong way. This time was more expensive but there was an expensive part on my heater that I broke. Cooper was here less than an our after I called and the tech had the part in his van. Replaced it and all is good now.

The headaches and repeated calls to Cooper and visits to my home by their crew were wearing and time consuming, but Cooper's support staff on the other end of the phone call were extremely helpful. They got me to the people that could help get the proper work done so that I could pass inspection and be satisfied with my purchase.

If you do go with Cooper, do yourself a favor and ask for Jason the master plumber and Zach the technician who does the work right the first time.

I did have to follow up on a credit I was promised but never received and also rebates which had not been sent into the utility company on my behalf--even months after installation.

I've used Cooper Heating and Cooling as my go to repair and installation service for greater than 10 years. They have always been responsive, professional and delivered a great product.  I wish that I could continue my great review but... The last 2 times that I used Cooper, I was very disappointed in the quality of their work as well as their customer service.  I'll spare you the details, but I believe they need to put the customer first back into their mission statement.

This is a review for William B who gave us a bid from Cooper. When our furnace died we called Cooper on black Friday and William came out within hours. He was extremely knowledgeable and walking my wife and I through a number of different furnace options. Unlike a few of the other companies I had bid the furnace, Cooper did a load calculation for the heat needed for our exact house. I ended up not going with Cooper but only because I was able to get a really good deal through my company. That said, my wife and I felt very comfortable with Cooper. William wasn't pushy and even though Cooper came in a bit higher than the other bid we almost went with them anyway just because of how thorough he was. We originally heard about Cooper through Costco so you know they have to be good if Costco will partner with them.

Horrible customer service. They will come out quickly for a sales call but when you try to book a maintenance appointment expect it to be two months out even when you pay for their green service package. Icing on the cake is they will give away your appointment the day of when you don't respond quickly to their vm that they can sent someone to your home asap. Not their fault they call an hour before your appointment window and you're not home yet. We all have time to sit around all day in case Cooper Heating wants to arrive early.

Over Christmas my furnace broke where I learned it was beyond repair. Cooper Heating and Cooling was able to come out and give me estimates on replacing my furnace and add A/C. They went throughout my house measuring windows to make sure that the furnace would be the correct size, no other company had done this! On the day of install 2 HVAC installers and 2 Electricians came to make sure everything was installed correctly. I am very pleased with the whole process, and would recommend Cooper to my friends and family.

We have been using Cooper for the last 13 years and have continued to receive excellent service. They are an honest company with integrity that really does care about the customer. The technicians that recently came out to do our repair were awesome, just like all the other technicians who came out in the past.

We loved them at the beginning of the process of purchasing and installing a new furnace and air conditioner.  The technicians are great.  The problem starts when the salesrep tells you the Excel and Costco rebates ($1400) are coming in 6 - 8 weeks.  I'm thinking 6 - 8 weeks from installation but it's apparently 6 - 8 weeks after they get around to submitting paperwork.  We're going on the 8th week after installation and I've been told they have just recently submitted necessary forms.  So now we're looking at possibly four months after installation.

We didn't need the a/c until last week and when it started up, it sounded like something's banging inside.  I called Monday for an appointment to have it check and took Friday off from work with an 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. window.  Sat around waiting, at 11 got a call that my window was now 12 - 2 p.m.  Since I figured this would be done by 1 p.m., I had made another appointment in Parker at 2 p.m.  I told them I couldn't wait and cancelled.  Well, I decided better and called back in five minutes and was told my appointment was now gone and they would try and fit me in sometime, no window.  I told them I couldn't sit around all day waiting.  Oh well, looks like it's back to Done Plumbing and Heating.

Had a new hot water heater installed.  I felt like I was dealing with a car dealer the whole time.  Their quoted price included a furnace tuneup that was essentially worthless as they were really only doing an inspection and no real maintenance of the unit.  The day after the installation, I smelled a faint gas leak in the mechanical room and had to call them back to fix it.  They came quickly and found and fixed the leak, but a competent company would have done a leak check when they completed the installation.  I just realized today (more than 5 weeks later) that the building permit they said they would get never materialized.  I have seen no evidence that they even purchased one (It was supposed to come in the mail) and there has been no city inspection of the installation. I was and am still quite disappointed with the company overall and will steer clear of them in the future

Very disappointed in the Salesman, Will Babin.    Will only wanted to ride his Costco affiliation to get the business and did not want to respond to questions.  Quote was reasonable but not the best. I explained that to him and he just wanted to say how Cooper was the best and we should just do business with them because of their Costco affiliation.   He did not want to negotiate or answer technical questions my husband had.   Yesterday he told me to just take my business elsewhere.   What kind of salesman is that?    One that only wants easy sales, not to work or earn your business.

Sadly, since my last review, things have been exhausting. While the team and Cooper are so friendly, the product has been terrible so far. They're here again as I type, for the 4th day in a row, to try to fix things and I'm still hopeful they will, but we're tired. The heat hasn't worked, Cooper has called early both days this weekend (they do have 24 hour service which is great, but they call at 7am to confirm - not tons of fun on the weekend), the noises in the pipes (clanging and banging at all hours of the night) has kept us up when the heat was on, the zones were connected incorrectly, so the thermostat for one zone is actually controlling a different zone, etc.

This was supposed to be a fun weekend - friends in town one night, kids away the second night. Instead, we're exhausted and had no time to relax. Not the end of the world, but not a fun experience, either.

Please get this right, Cooper!

Old review:

If I could give this team 6 stars, I would. Just one caveat: they're not finished yet, so I can't rate the finished product, but I felt compelled to post about their professionalism so far. We've had a nightmare summer after entirely remodeling our new house, and we were dreading the boiler replacement after reading so many horrible experiences online.

We chose Cooper after getting quotes from 4 other HVAC companies because Cooper is backed by Costco and we've seen the documentaries about the standards Costco adopts for its suppliers. From the first contact, Cooper has followed up when they said they would, and has proactively kept us informed about the process.

The boiler install started today when a team of 5 men showed up, put on their boot covers without me asking, looked me in the eye, and got to work. They laid drop cloths and worked harder than I've seen any contractor work all summer. This team was a well oiled machine. They were so quiet (well, besides the obvious noise from removing the old boiler) and they just kept working. When I stopped in to ask questions, they were respectful and seemed not at all bothered by my interruptions.

I threw a wrench in the plans by asking them to replace the water tank at the same time. They promised me they could do it, and still get us hot water by this evening. We left at 5:45pm and they were still working (I felt comfortable enough to leave them in my home without anyone here). Imagine our surprise when we came home at 8pm and they were still working. They said that they'd promised us hot water tonight.

Each time I went into see how things were going, one member of the team was cleaning up. Can you imagine: contractors who clean up after themselves? I haven't seen it all summer. They told me that their goal is to leave the house cleaner than it was when they began. I mean, my parents taught me that lesson, but from an HVAC company? Impressive.

The team is coming back tomorrow to finish up and I hope, hope, hope that everything goes smoothly. We've had so many problems on this remodel that I'm just a bit skeptical. But, I have no reason, based on the experience so far to think that the job will be any less than well done.

It's so nice to see a company that takes the time to hire and train respectful and competent people and it's been a happy surprise so far! Way to go, Cooper!

Great Experience in an emergency situation! Our furnace went out during single digit temps and over a foot of snow.  Sam drove all the way from Ft. We had a heat pump/air conditioning installed almost 2 years ago through Costco.  They did a nice job on the installation.  An humidifier was to be included.  They forgot the unit and had someone else come out to install it.   Even with the humidifier there was still a lot of static.  A couple of days ago we noticed the water from the humidifier was constantly running.  We called a local company to check it out.  Apparently the humidifier was never installed correctly.  It needed several parts in the furnace to make it work.   After $$$ later the humidifier is now up and running.

Second issue we had with Cooper is that we called them about hooking up the solar ready heat pump that they installed to solar panels.  An appointment was made.  The morning of the appointment we received a call that they do not install solar panels.   Why did the person who made the appointment not know that?  BTW-their website indicated they do solar.

We had a pipe break during the last cold snap and we had just gone under contract on our house. All other emergency plumbers we called were booked for the next 3 days, but Cooper could come out within 12 hours. Brian was not only quick and professional, but made me feel better about the whole situation and that it wasn't my fault (even a master plumber has had a pipe break!). When the pipe was fixed, the shower still wouldn't stop running, so he came back and fixed it quickly as well and offered a free plumbing inspection once we're in our new house. We will be using these people for many years!

We set up an appointment for an inspection through Costco after we saw a special they were running.  We have had several different HVAC companies perform inspections for us in the past and knew what they had each done.  Aireus Chavez was our technician, and while his schedule had him running a bit behind for the day, he was courteous enough to give us a call several times to update us on his ETA (great communication from the start!).  Upon arrival, Aireus was very professional, friendly, and respectful of our home (we have a toddler, so it's always nice when a company uses shoe covers and you don't need to have an uncomfortable conversation about shoes on the floors).  Above all, Aireus showed a great knowledge and skill level in his work, and it was obvious he really takes his job seriously and cares about the well-being of customers.  He was so thorough and really did a quality inspection compared to what we had seen done in the past.  Wow, what a refreshing experience in this day and age when good customer service seems to have gone by the wayside.  We are more than impressed with the level of service and expertise we received, and will be using Cooper Heating & Cooling (with a request for Aireus) for all of our future needs.  Thank you!

Idiots.  That's all I can say about these guys.  I bought a home where they did the chiller installation on the roof, and they're the only authorized service agent in the area for that brand of equipment.

That's a shame, because this is about the most inept set of HVAC folks I've ever had to work with.

Despite being the _original_ installers on the house, and having serviced it now for more than four years, they will _routinely_ show up with a truck that fails to have a tall enough ladder to get on the roof of the house, necessitating another trip out and more wasted time.

Despite assuring me they're properly winterizing my evap unit on the roof, every year, there's been a part that's been damaged/broken/needing repair, despite having been working 100% when it was put away.

This year, they never actually managed to get the unit to work all summer long.  Waiting on parts, was what I heard time and time again.

The solenoid valve that controls my chiller water was broken for almost an entire summer, and they insisted it was normal, until I tracked down the unit manufacturer and talked to the engineers and found out that no, it should not be running all the time supplying water to the cooler and draining constantly.

To add insult to injury, despite having a different mailing address than the house itself, and ASKING them each time to please make sure the bill goes to the correct location, the stupid billing people at the company screw it up EVERY time.

If there was an alternative provider in Denver who would work on the brand of equipment that's installed at my house there, I would use them in a heartbeat.

Avoid these guys if you can.  Never have I worked with such an inept team of time wasters.  They're super nice folks as people - friendly as can be - but the most incompetent HVAC team I've ever managed to deal with in 20+ years of home ownership.

We had AC installed last year. It took 3 months to pass inspection and the technician did not know what he was doing, almost started a fire in our basement. To remedy our dissatisfaction they gave us free maintenance. When attempting to receive our AC service this summer they have cancelled our appointment twice after we made arrangements to be off from work. I would highly recommend finding another company to do any work.

Summer of 2013  I had Cooper install a new furnace and AC.  The products are on the high end and work well.  We had somewhat of a nightmare getting the installation as they didn't finish when they said they would and then it was days before they came back (and then were there from 2 p.m. until midnight!)  To make amends they promised a free spring cleaning of the AC unit.  I scheduled it for early June. They have rescheduled me twice now, half way into the scheduled appointment time- after I have arranged my schedule and stayed home during their 2 hour window!  And this to make up for their poor service during installation! Way to perform, Cooper!

Being a first time homeowner dropped $10k+ on a new furnace, AC and water heater, I was disappointed with the Cooper experience. It all started with (and perhaps is rooted in) a poor installation team. My first impression after they completed was that they were messy. They left scrap parts and pieces in the various areas they were working. They even left a 4 ft length of PVC and a tool. And areas they removed insulation I had to request they cover it back up. However, the evidence of a poor install was only evidenced later (more to come). Oddly, the installers were not able to wire a simple plug to my humidifier, but they were able to wire a new outlet. As a result, I needed to schedule a follow up for an electrician to come out and do the plug. Not anyone's fault, the on demand water heater was to be installed the same day but could not because the gas line was not large enough. As a result, a plumber needed to stop by on a different day to evaluate the gas situation. In the mean time, the plug was added to the humidifier and I used my furnace. That is, until I noticed the fan running but no heat. So I called Cooper to come back out. The installers wired the humidifier wrong causing the circuit board to burn out and trip the breaker on the furnace. Heat was fixed, but now I needed to get the humidifier repaired. So the Cooper crew came out to finally install the water heater and circuit board. Everything seemingly went swimmingly. Until that afternoon, when I turned on the AC, I noticed the AC was not working (this was the first warm day to run it). I immediately called Cooper who sent out yet another tech. Once again, the original installers incorrectly wired up the AC unit preventing it from running. Now that everything works, we are happy. Well, not yet. I noticed the smell of gas outside the vents on my house. Xcel came out today and said they detected a small gas leak coming from the furnace outside the house. Oh boy. What was to be a day, has taken about 4 weeks and 5 different techs stopping by to get the job done.

We just had a Cooper replace our furnace and install a new AC. Josh was a great sales rep that came to our house and made sure we were getting the correct units for what we were looking for and at a competitive price. The installers were very good and respectable and the electricians who put in our new box did an amazing job. They were on time and answered all our questions. You can tell they care!

I recently wrote a not so favorable review for this business but that was based on a service I had over a year ago. I had them come and fix a few problems on Sat. and it was such a different experience this time.  They really worked with me and had a lot of good ideas. I was impressed that they got a currier to bring the parts to my house and even got an electrician to come on a Sat.!!! There was a follow up call on the service, which had not happened before. Would recommend and use again!

Called company and told them we believed the ignitor switch went out on the furnace and they showed up promptly and was at our home 15 mins total.  He placed a voltage reader and said yes you are right it is the ignitor switch.  Plugged in the new one and charged 314.00.  Asked him several times the breakdown on the part price but said it was figured in with the labor.  We had already researched the part and it was 24.95 to order one.  Diagnostic and labor for 15 mins over 275.00 seems to be overpriced.  On the other hand he was friendly and polite.

This was a very large purchase for our household, so my expectations were high.  I replaced my heater, AC, and hot water heater.  This was the best customer service experience I have had in a very long time.

Drew, the gentlemen who came out to quote the solution for Cooper was on time, knowledgeable, and really helped me find the right solution for my house.

Zach, Rob, and Dan came out to install the solution this week and did a fantastic job.  The first thing that Zach did was walk me through the entire project and tell me what his crew was going to do.  It was exactly what Drew and I discussed during the quoting process.  Zach didn't miss one detail.  They immediately got to work laying down tarps to keep everything clean and removed all of the old equipment.  They didn't even leave a sheet metal screw behind when they were done.  I was also very happy with the new installations once they were done.  Zach, Rob, and Dan then all walked me through the house showing me what they had completed, showed me how to program the new thermostat, and made recommendations on maintaining my new equipment.  You could tell that they were proud of their craftsmanship.  They weren't in a hurry to get out the door after a long day of work, rather, they were concerned with completing the job according to standards that Cooper obviously maintains.

What a great team!  What a great buying experience!  I highly recommend them.

Came home from a trip to find my furnace not working and my house at 55 degrees.  It was 7pm on Monday night. I called Cooper Heating and had a repairman there by 10 pm . He repaired my furnace , thankfully he had the part with him .  I had heat restored by 11! Cole was the technician, he was very professional and did a great job!  I will definitely call Cooper Heating whenever I need help.

We had a great experience with the Cooper team. Doug - site inspector/estimator - was polite, thorough and knowledgeable. The installation team was tidy, quick and the installation is awesome. AND they came in below the original estimate when the project got opened up and they could really see what they were doing. I'm definitely recommending to friends.

I did not end up using Cooper Heating and Cooling but I will say that we had a great experience with them. Terry, was they salesmen who came out to our house and gave us an estimate. He was very passionate about his job and explained everything to us very thoroughly. We never felt any pressure from him regarding what type of equipment we should get. I spoke to Terry a couple times after he came to the house and he was very considerate and very professional when I told him we chose someone else. We were referred to Cooper by a neighbor and I would recommend them to anyone out there needing HVAC help.

After having a pipe break with water everywhere, I was assured they would be over within 1 1/2 hours.  3 hours later and still nobody has shown up.  When I call the answering service, they said they will have someone call me immediately.  30 minutes later and no call.  Call them again and they seem shocked that nobody has called me back.  I'm told again that they will have someone call me.  30 minutes later, no call, so I call back again.  This is repeated another 30 minutes later when I finally ask if they are simply leaving messages for someone or are they actually talking with the person who is supposed to call me back?  I am told that they actually talked to Kristen and she knows that I have been calling.

How can you trust a company that not only doesn't show up when you have an emergency like a broken pipe, but they don't even have the integrity to answer your calls, apologize for not showing up, and try to somehow make the situation right? I would definitely never call them again, and I recommend that you find someone else.

Look at the Judy W. review.  Even though she gave them 4 stars (after reading the review, I have no idea why she did that), according to her, even when they do show up, they don't honor what they told her and she say describes a type of repairman that I wouldn't want at my house.  Save yourself the hassle and use another company.

***UPDATE***

The next morning Cooper Heating called to send out a technician.  Given what occurred the previous night, I was not inclined to have them come out.  Then Nate got involved and assured me he would look into what had happened and asked if I would be open to letting them come out.  He said he would wave the fee to show up and we would talk after again the technician takes a look.  I agreed.  After the technician got there, Nate told me they would make the repair at no charge.  The technician was professional and took care of the pipe.  He even insulated the pipe for me so this wouldn't happen again.  Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you handle them that counts.  I could not have asked for more than the way Nate handled the situation.  I would definitely use them again.  Thanks for everything, Nate.

They replaced the furnace and water heater in our 1974 townhouse. We hired them through Costco and qualified for rebates which we received timely. The installers were quick, professional, and took the time to explain things. Unfortunately, the door to the furnace room would not close completely due to the size of the furnace. Cooper paid for us to replace the door with a sliding door. I would definitely recommend them.

If this company is good I wouldn't know it. I made an appointment 8 days out for the following Friday afternoon. A rep called Friday morning to cancel because all technicians were sent to a more important customer who had an emergency. I was offered a weekend appt - highly inconvenient with only 24 hours notice to change my plans - but rescheduled my service for that Sunday morning. Rep called AGAIN on Saturday afternoon to CANCEL THE SUNDAY APPOINTMENT (a family emergency this time), suggesting a tech could come by that same afternoon, between 2pm and 5pm. Uhhh, really? (Kinda a big window) I ask - I would have to leave at 5pm for an appt...if the tech shows up at 5, what do I do? Or at 4 and he's not finished? He'll come back to finish the service. (Thanks, but no. I also ask - And how am I being compensated for this added inconvenience, AGAIN? $30 bucks off. Wow, blow me over.

I know stuff happens but 1) TWO cancellations? 2) I have to ASK for compensation instead of it being offered? (Hey Coopers, read The Nordstrom's Way)

Ya know when you just a get a bad feeling about a business? That's what I got and ran like hell. I'll call Sears.

When our air conditioner stopped working recently, they were the only company to answer their phone on the weekend so we could set up an appointment to have it looked at.

Charles was friendly, knowledgeable and was straight to the point that we needed a new air conditioning and heating system. Since, it has been so hot out recently, he called his home office from our living room and was able to have a sales person come out to our house the next day.

Drew (sales person) was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional while taking his measurements of our home, observing the space available for the new system and presenting our options. We were a little tough on him since we know nothing about this industry, brands, and had read a couple of negative reviews of their company on YELP. He addressed all our concerns with honesty and frankness that were very much appreciated. He explained what we needed and also what we didn't need, but with our lack of knowledge we told him we wanted to call a couple other companies in the area for bids first. He was very professional about that and understood our position. After calling several other companies only 1 of which even answered the phone and finding out that they were at least 3 weeks out on installations, we called Drew back to see what he could do. He said there had been an opening for the installation crew and that he could have our system installed the very NEXT day! We told him that sounded great. He then called later in the evening to let us know that the system we had agreed to purchase was actually not in stock, but instead of making us wait, he upgraded our system at no additional cost so that we could still have it installed next day.

The installation crew (Derock, Dustin, Andre, and 2 other guys) showed up at our house at 9:30am the next day and were by far the most professional group of people I have ever had working in my home. Although, young looking, Derock the head installer was extremely professional and knowledgeable. All of them were respectful, professional, and as unobtrusive to me and my one year old son throughout the day as possible. They were also very conscientious about keeping the door to our basement closed after each time they had to go thru it in order to keep my one year old from falling down the stairs. They cleaned up every mess they made in doing their work and honestly left the utility room in our basement cleaner than when they arrived. They worked so hard all day! I was very impressed. They even replaced the baby gate they had removed in order to move equipment without any prompting from me. I was even more impressed at the end of their very long day (after 7pm) that Derock took the time to explain how the new system worked, how to keep it maintained, and all the bells and whistles on our new thermostat. He even offered to come back out and explain it all again to my husband since he was out of town.

I don't usually write reviews but this company really went above and beyond for our family. And with their 24 hour service line (answered by an actual person), 2 year parts and installation warranty, 10 year equipment warranty, and service plan that includes free maintenance during the first year, they have earned customers for life. Thanks guys!!

I can not tell you how impressed I was with Cooper.  We used Cooper to replace the Evaporative Cooler on our roof and install a new water heater.  From the estimate, to the work being done, to the followup after, I was so impressed with the level of customer service and knowledge of everyone I came in contact with.  They went out of there way to make sure that all work was completed properly even if that meant more work on their end.  Its rare these days to feel like a company really values your business, but Cooper achieved that.  I would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

All I can say is buyer beware.  I went with Cooper due to their affiliation with Costco.  I asked for a quote to replace my two 4 ton air conditioners and furnaces..  There quote was generic without specifying the size units they were offering to supply. They just showed 2 of the same model. However, their work order stated that they were going to replace existing units.  During installation, I noticed one unit was much smaller than the other even though the two they removed were the same size.  I called my salesman to voice my concern and he said he thought a smaller unit would work fine.  I considered this to be deceptive trade practices.  They never informed me that they were going to install a unit with smaller capacity than what they removed.  They gave me every excuse in the world trying to convince me to accept the smaller unit, ie my ductwork would not accommodate the larger unit.  For 25 years, the ducts were fine handling the larger unit. After threatening to get my attorney and the consumer frauds division involved, they agreed to exchange it for the correct size.  Even though they were aware of the situation, when I disputed the charge with my credit card company, they responded that everything was installed properly and there were no problems. I would rather give a company I could trust my business.

There is definately a reason they have so many poor ratings.  I called for a furnace repair in the evening because their ad said they didn't charge extra for after hours calls.  Being held hostage on a cold evening I paid the bill that wasn't itemized at all.  I called the next day to go over the bill.  The very first thing the guy said was well it was 9:30 at night.  When I reminded him of his no charges for after hours calls  the conversation turned quickly to it is what it is.  I knew the problem and told the technician exactly what was needed before he arrived.  264.00 for fifteen min and a 17.00 part.
I am a long time COSTCO member and will be forwarding this to them as well

I normally don't put out 5 stars, but i have to in this case.  My wife insisted that we take the advise of another company and install a high efficiency boiler.  It wasn't really necessary but we did it.  The 'green' company did it wrong.  Well, they installed the boiler correctly, but the bleed valve was closed.  For three winters, the pipes banged keeping the toddler and the mom up at nights.  I have had this house for awhile and have used a number of companies trying to find someone honest.  My go to company was bought out and the new owners are sleazy. The independent guy had great reviews but he couldn't get it done and the pipes kept banging. 3 opinions later, the problem was still not fixed.  Perusing Yelp, I saw Cooper was loosely affiliated with Costco, so I thought we'd give it a shot.  Cooper sent over Arnold.  He quietly stepped into the boiler room, flipped on his mega flashlight, and diagnosed the issue in less that 5 minutes. I would have been pissed at wasting 100s of dollars with other companies but Arnold was calm and thorough.  He adjusted the culprit valve and one other temperature setting on the boiler to ensure there wasn't a problem.  This took him all of 10 minutes.  Arnold then hung out for another 30 minutes waiting for the boiler to cycle several times and get noisy.  Well, he fixed it.  Two little cold spells and the wife and little one never woke up to banging pipes.  Cooper is now my go to company for heating and cooling.  I hate throwing money away to bad service repair. Thanks Arnold for maintaining my marital bliss.

I had an A/C System that Cooper installed this July.  Quality work and we were pleased.  We had a leak that appeared from under a wall in the basement.  I thought it was a connection to the main drain from an upstairs shower.  Cooper sent a plumber to check it out.  Unfortunately I wasn't here, but the guy could not have spent more than 5 minutes looking and his verdict was multiple leaks under the basement floor.  He request we remove the drywall because it was full of asbestos.  I thought I better get another estimate for a job this large. Well the problem was the shower upstairs had some leakage around the base and the wall.  50 cents worth of caulk fixed it.  The correct diagnosis cost $44 and he spent 30 minutes being sure.  Cooper charged $99 for 5 minutes and a half assed evaluation.  Lesson is get more than one opinion and not every Plumbing / AC/ Heating company is good in all facets of the job.  5 stars for A/C System and 1 star for plumber

Overall I am very pleased with the work Cooper did. I had a new furnace and hot water heater installed. The furnace technician, Jason, was amazing! He knew so much and went over and above the required work to be done. He was very friendly and made me feel good about the work completed. The hot water heater guy came in from another department, he did not install it correctly, the second tech they sent from this department did an even worse job. Eventually, Jason the furnace guy had to come fix the hot water heater install. I don't recommend the plumbing group, but the furnace guy was amazing!

Coopers installed a new A/C and replaced our heater this summer. They were not the lowest bid but provided the best service and installation anyone could expect. The install was perfect - they went out of their way to install the new A/C without requiring a single sheetrock repair and left the job site as if they had never been there - except for the fact that our house is perfectly cooled.  The best of the best....

The system was sold quite easily , but then comes the installation.   They installed two new air conditioners and an attic fan and did not verify that they were working properly  before they left.  They came back and then left again not letting us know when it would be completed.  Then inspection failed.   Now for more waiting.   Lets hope I can actually get to someone who can the work done.  SO far, they just pass the buck!

We called Cooper H&C when our upstairs furnace wasn't working....just before a snowstorm. They came right out, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. I had them come out the next week to clean both of our furnaces (over 20 year old furnaces) and change the return filters. A few months later our downstairs furnace stopped working overnight, and the whole basement smelled like gas in the morning. I called them and they said they could come out during the afternoon. With 5 kids at home, while my husband was at work, I was really nervous that something could blow up, so I let them know that I was going to leave the home, and I would return when they called to let me know they were on their way. Well, Mike, the service manager, had someone out within the hour. They diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. Each of the three service guys who came out were professional, courteous, and prompt. While I hope that I don't have to call them again, I will definitely call them for service in the future.

I scheduled 4 appointments and had to call 3 times to see if they were coming.  I had to reschedule 2 of the appointments because they would not be able to get to my house as promised.  When the tech arrived, I was told the bearings were going out of my motor and I would need a new air conditioner  I bought a new air conditioner from them without a second opinion.  I called on a Thurs to insure that they we were coming on Sat as scheduled.  They said they would be there at 8 am on Sat.  At 8:30 am I called and they said I wasn't scheduled until that Monday.  I requested my money back and received it.  I had another company come over after this fiasco, and was informed that there was nothing wrong with my air conditioner.  My experience with this company was very unfavorable.

This company came recommended by an energy auditor, but after not showing up for our first appointment, and then rescheduling and again failing to show up (or bother to call the second time), I was told after calling them that it's not unusual for their techs to miss the two hour window they give you. They did apologize for not calling to tell me they were running late. Nonetheless, we can not spare a third wasted day waiting and wondering when and if they will show up. We will be finding another company to work with.

The guys from Cooper showed up on time and serviced our furnace as promised. They noted that the damper to our humidifier was closed and should be opened for optimum performance in the winter. They did not push unnecessary repairs. It was a great deal too as we had a coupon. I'll be contacting them again next year for a tune up.

Had to install a new furnace, when it dies it dies, and of course you're in a panic mode!  Called Costco, as I'd remembered seeing the overall guy in the ads (turns out it's a Lennox ad.)  Called Costco's vendor number and within 15 minutes had a call from Cooper.  The estimator came out that day and did a very thorough estimate, and even loaned me space heaters to make it through the night for the install the next morning. I did get another estimate from a second company which was less thorough (they didn't even measure or count vents) and more expensive.  So I went with  Cooper and the Costco rebates.  The installers called in the morning to say they were on the way and were courteous and did a great job.  I had them install a new furnace and added A/C which I did not have in the house.  They did a great job.  Over and above, I'd say.

I have been in Commercial const. for over 30 yrs as a business owner.  They responded to a commercial construction problem on a Saturday with promptness and good communication.  I was VERY glad that the service Tech didn't try to up sell me on additional work.  I have stopped using companies that have their employees try to up sell other items or services.  I NEVER trust these companies.  Sometimes Managers think that a quick up sale is profitable, however, when the consumer realizes that they didn't need the work, they (and I) will warn everyone we know!  Relationships are longer that quick sales quota's.

Would not recommend.  What should have been a simple $85 swamp cooler start-up has turned into ongoing maintenance that has already cost over $300 plus an outrageous water bill.  The person who referred these guys ended up having a similar problem.  They just needed a start-up and ended up with an over $300 plumbing charge...the plumber was recommended by Cooper.

We woke up Monday morning, Jan 14, 2013, to a very cold house. The furnace and the thermostat were operating intermittently. I placed a call to Cooper Heating & Cooling and was advised that a Service Tech would be available between 2:00 and &6:00 PM, Brad showed up by  about 2:30 PM and had the problem diagnosed  and a part ordered by about 3:15 PM. He advised that the part was available across town and Cooper heating & Cooling had a service that would pick up the part and deliver it to the work site. We waited until about 5:00 PM when he received a call that the supply source had closed and he could not complete the repair that night. We had to spend another cold, miserable because your delivery service did not check the closing time of the supply source.
You came very close to losing a long time customer last night. Your reputation was only saved by your competent Service Techs, Brad and David who completed the job this morning and got our furnace running again.
I would STRONGLY recommend that your delivery service be made aware of their responsibility to check the closing times of you supply sources as this has a serious impact on your customers.

Sincerely
Bill Henwood

This company is a disaster. I used them for a new furnace and air conditioner because they had a deal through Costco. The installation was not at all what was promised, took way longer than was promised and took several visits to even get working. After that, I had some one come over to give me an estimate to install a humidifier. The estimate was way higher than other companies and all the guy did was try to sell me other services and equipment. Needless to say I did not use them to install the humidifier. Most recently, I had someone come over to look at my system for possible zoning (given that the new HVAC system they sold me does not adequately cool or heat the second floor) and the guy told me he would email me with a quote for zoning or other possible solutions to my problem. It has been several weeks since he was here and I have not  heard anything from him ( he apparently is the service manager so what does that tell you).  I would definitely not recommend this company and would be very happy to hear of any good responsible responsive HVAC companies in Denver because my experiences have been really bad.

Amazing experience.  I called Cooper H&A at 6pm last night when I discovered that my AC wasn't working.  Daily temps in Boulder this week have been in the mid-90s and I didn't want to be without AC.  I was connected with a service tech named Dan Jones.  He walked me through the problem on the phone and told me what steps I could take to fix the problem myself.  He gave me his cell number, as I needed to call him back the next morning.  The next day, he spent another 20 minutes on the phone with me.  My system was fixed and I didn't have to pay for a service call....everything was free!  He was a very trustworthy and knowledgeable technician.  Me being a female with no HVAC knowledge, he could have taken advantage of the situation, come to my house, and stuck me with a big bill. It's so nice to know there are folks out there that aren't looking just to make a buck.  I highly recommend Cooper Heating and Air.

We bought a Lennox furnace and air conditioner from Cooper thru Costco. We needed the a/c and decided to upgrade the furnace to high efficiency unit. The salesman Tony was nice and set us up for the install. The first thing on the date of instal was the start time. They told me 9 am. When I called at nine they said they were just leaving the ship due to a meeting. Well when they left that night job unfin ished it was 8:30pm . I say unfinished because we also bought a humidifier unit they couldn't make fit.  They uninstall job they did was poor to put it nicely. Exposed pipes in the garage and basement looked very cheap and hastily done. Though it took all day. This was unacceptable and they didn't even install the humidifier. When I called the office to reschedule an appointment to fix the situation I got a no show, followed by a call by me on the day of the reschedule, because no one showed up well after the scheduled time, 2 hours later they showed up t review the install.  To make a very long story shorter. Finally got the install completed after many calls to and no calls from Cooper. Also this whole experience not one call from Tony the salesman. He got paid and he was done. This was the Broomfield office. I would be very hesitant to go through Costco and their contractors again. Definitely would not use this Cooper location.
