Best Water Heater Repair in Denver CO
We called Bob due to some funky electric stuff happening in our house with our breakers, turned out it was just a button on a plug that he shelled me find over the phone. He could have so easily said he needed to come and see it, and charged us $250. But instead talked us through our issue over a few phone calls during his busy day. I'm so grateful. We have absolutely saved his information in case do need an electrician to come to our home, because you can tell he's the real deal. Integrity Electric and Home Improvement was an apt name for a fella with much integrity.

Needed a new sink and an overflow put in my kitchen so I went ahead and looked up faucet installation in my area. Went forth and picked this company and everything turned out perfect and I was very pleased with the professionalism and how smooth the process went. I've had pretty bad experiences and I will be recommending my girlfriends to this company for any kind of handyman interior & exterior projects! Thank you again so much J&D Home Services and Repair.

I'm so mad at these guys.
My friend's water heater went out. I know nothing about water heaters, but I can figure out how things work. After less than an hour of troubleshooting, I was pretty sure the control board was bad and needed to be replaced. I told my friend this but she wanted to go ahead and have it serviced by a professional.
My friend then brought in some monkey from Blue Sky - their technician - who SHOULD be trained to fix a water heater and therefore should be capable of diagnosing the issue in the same time or less than an untrained person. 9 hours later, after a bill MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE COST OF A NEW heater, the guy finally figured out the problem. And also charged my friend $150 to pick up the part.
Absolute rip off. Waste of over a thousand dollars. Unskilled person can do the job better. That is all.

We needed our furnace evaluated for a noise it was making. The repairman, Eric, ran diagnostics and found a small part in need of replacement. He was able to fix it immediately for a reasonable charge. We appreciated the prompt service, professional and thorough evaluation, and reasonable cost. We will definitely call Cooper in the spring to make sure our air conditioner is in top order, and we recommend Cooper to friends and neighbors.

We had an AC problem, blowing but not cold air, we needed serious help with a pregnant wife in the heat of the summer. They were very busy and could only schedule about a week and a half out. Once the repair man arrived, he looked at it for all of 10 minutes, then all I heard about was how expensive of a fix this was going to be and how knowledgeable and qualified he was. Gave me a quote for $2600, and I told him thanks but no thanks. Two days later, I had another reputable company come look at it for a second opinion, after 30 minutes of work and a simple $200 fix, we had a fully functioning AC and haven't had a problem since. I question the knowledge and training of these repair folks and why they would need to give an absurd quote to just about replace the entire system.

Last year on the coldest two weeks of the year I called Fix it 24/7 to fix my heater because it stopped working and they showed up within a hour and told me my Trane heater was too old to get parts for! But said he would make a call to find a new gas valve and he said your in luck I found one! And would be back tomorrow to repair my furnace and he did, then after the repair told me I have good news and I have bad what would I like to hear first? I told him lay it on me. He said the good is your unit is now working the bad is you need a new unit and the good also we can apply the $1000 bill to a new unit. I asked how much for a new unit he said $17000 I said I will have to think about it. The unit stopped working two days later so I called a Trane Technician and he came out and said your unit is not obsolete and also said that he changed out a good value. He put old value back on and cleaned the flame sensor and and the unit started working again! And the Trane Technician didn't change me a dime to fix! Fix it 24/7 is a scam just trying to sell everyone a new unit wether you need it or not. There a total rip off. I called Fix it 24/7 back to complain they said that they would rectify the situation and make it right. That was also a lie I will never use Fix it 24 7 again. Please be careful of them!

RIP OFF - SO EXPENSIVE COMPARED TO OTHER QUOTES!!! I don't get how this company remains in business other than by paying top dollar for ads with money they overcharge customers. Their prices should be illegal they're so freakin' expensive at 2-3x more compared to several other plumbing companies we contacted for estimates (both large and small).
For example:
- $450 to briefly remove and install a new wax seal (approx $5) under toilet vs. $150 average price (approx 30 - 45 min time)
- $250 to replace an older toilet shutoff valve (approx $7.50) in the process of replacing the wax seal and removing the toilet vs. No Additional Charge (approx 15 min time)
- Minimum of $1500 to cut into drywall to access/repair leaky joint in wall behind toilet vs. $500-$650 (approx 1-1.5 hr and $5 part)
- $1200 to install a mainline water pressure regulator vs. $400 - $600. (approx 1.5 hour + less than $100 part).
- $12,000 to add an air conditioner compressor to a compatible furnance/central ducts vs. $5000 - $7000
Other plumbers shook their head in disgust when hearing what we were quoted since they feel Applewood gives them all a bad name. And before we could even mention their name when saying how much more the other company was... they all guessed correctly it was Applewood w/o our mention.
On a positive note: the booking and communication process was very good; the plumbers were clean, friendly, highly knowledgeable and did good work; and they had good availability (including after business hours). However, the plumbers have no say in what to charge and defer to a HUGE bible of an Applewood book that has a flat rate for every single repair under the sun, including situations where both repairs are part of the same project and only add a few minutes extra time. I actually felt bad for them having to give me the flat-rate quotes as they seemed a bit uncomfortable doing so, and again, props to the quality of work but it was no different than the other plumbers we used at a fraction of costs.
If hosting a big Xmas dinner and suddenly the sh*tters full w/no other plumbers available in a pinch you'll be excused for calling Applewood. But you have zero excuse for calling them otherwise unless perhaps you're a masochistic. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED... BEWARE!!!

Rip off. Very disappointed in the office. When I made the reservice appt, I talked to a gentleman. He was friendly and helpful. This was a re-service for a drain they had come out to clean out. The first guy didn't clear the clog 100%. The first tech sold me some drain cleaner to help with the drain. I have been using it, but it wasn't working. When I called to make another appointment, I let the gentleman know about the first time and he said it wouldn't be any charge. When the techs show up and finally clear the drain, they charge me another 79.00. I talk to Pam in the office and she basically tells me too bad, I didn't call in enough time and she did not honor what the gentleman told me about no charge.

I ended up not using them because they couldn't even return a phone call. I finally got a hold of their service and she took down my information and the type of work I needed. She said they would call me back - they didn't. Very bad customer service.

DO NOT USE. They quoted us $26,000 for a job another company did for $4,000. They are a bunch of salespeople that claim they're master plumbers. Pay a little extra for a sewer line clean. Don't be tempted by the cheap sewer cleaning. They will get their line stuck and threaten to charge you $500 to cut it and leave it. Other companies don't do that.
