Where do I begin! This was such a refreshingly pleasant experience. Tim was on time, friendly, honest and best of all explained things in a way you can understand.

We bought a house that was flipped about a year ago and in our contract the electrical was all supposed to be brought up to code, obviously it wasn't.  Tim fixed it all perfectly and went above and beyond to wright a report for us to take to the seller.

You really don't need to look anywhere else.  Give this family owned company your business.  They deserve it and they will get the job done right, right on time and on budget.

I'll start with the good before I get to the bad. I moved into my new home about 6+ months ago and was referred to this electrician by a Team Dave Logan booklet that was sent to my house in the mail. Within the booklet, there was a coupon for $50 off any electrical service and Free Estimates! Seemed like a good start, so I called Williams & Sons.

Tim Williams (owner) is very friendly and generally is a good communicator. He was punctual during the initial assessment and his team was on time the following day to commence work. Tim's assessment determined that replacing two circuit breakers should do the trick. Tim assures me that these circuit breakers are $85/each and that it should be a quick and inexpensive job. Here is where things go wrong...

1. I call Tim after the two circuit breakers have been replaced, noting that there was no statement of work provided to me and I never received any type of $ estimate prior to work commencing. I shared my concern with Tim that I did not want to receive any kind of surprise invoice. He assured me it wouldn't be that bad and he was surprised that there was never an estimate provided to me.
2. Within the hour of my concerned phone call, he sends me an invoice for $650 for a job that could have taken his 2-person team about ~30 mins. Within this invoice, Tim tries to charge me $140 for his initial assessment (lasted 10 mins) and another $340 for labor which was never discussed or agreed-upon.
3. Thankfully, Tim was understanding in coming to a more reasonable price, and reduced the bill down to $350 after providing him the free estimate / $50 off coupon.
4. Fast forward 1 month. The problem persists and the replacement of the circuit breakers did not remedy the issue at all. I texted Tim to ask him if he could come by to re-assess the situation since the invoice clearly states that their work is covered by a 1 Year Guarantee. Tim ignores my first text. The next day I text him again to which his response is Sorry, I don't have anyone who can help you. My team is spread too thin. Uh, what? So much for the guarantee?

To me, this job felt like a quick grab and dash. $350 down the drain. Avoid.

We were scammed! Let me start with the positive. We had Williams and Sons run a line for a new hot tub. They were great! The let us know the cost up front, showed up in a timely manner and worked most of the day to get the job done. We were so happy with them that we called them back when we were having a fuse issue that kept causing our dishwasher to lose power. This time, they weren't very responsive. After we were able to get them to set a time to come, they were almost an hour late. When David came, he knew what the issue was right away. He said he needed to go get a fuse because it was one they didn't carry. He did that and came back and installed it quickly. We have absolutely no issue with the work itself, but the bill Tim sent over was outrageous! He charged for drive time to and from our house, He charged for time when no one was working and their hourly rate of $180 is what you would charge as a lawyer (and even that is done in 15 minute increments). We feel like we were scammed! Had we known their business practices and their hourly rate up front (neither of which was part of their first service call), we would have definitely gone a different way! As a small business owner, myself, these shady business practices give us all a bad name!

I found Williams and Sons on Yelp and called them to fix an electrical issue at my place. They were one of the only companies I called that was able to help within a 24 hour period, which was a must given that the electrical issue was a fire hazard. When they arrived I was super impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable they were. They diagnosed my problem immediately and fixed it within a couple of hours. Their prices seem very reasonable and you could tell they were efficient at getting their work done. I will definitely use them again in the future!

Due to a recent late-May snowstorm, a neighbor's tree branch came crashing down, not only taking out his power but damaging our power lines as well; our service was connected to a common utility pole in the alley.  The impact was so severe that it actually bent the top of the pole (like a bow) enough to yank our lines (and supporting cable braid) out from the main electrical mast (steel pipe) on the roof.  In the process, the sudden strain also bent the mast itself--which had to be replaced along with our entire electrical service entrance panel.

Tim (owner Williams and Sons Electric) promptly showed up on the morning after our initial phone contact, with a reasonable estimate.  We found him to be beyond friendly and helpful, from our first meeting throughout completion of the job.  Tim's excellent work ethic, quality of work and professionalism spoke for itself:

Punctual--set timeline expectations and followed up as promised.

Thorough--paid attention to every little detail and replaced a couple of items that weren't in his quote...for no extra charge.  Tim and his son, David, even relocated and re-secured a cable TV line that was coming loose as a result of the storm.  They also removed an old phone line that was no longer in use (I needed this done anyway because it was in the way of a future deck awning installation).

Overall, the work performed was professional, tidy, and I could not imagine a better, more qualified electrical contractor for the job.  Highly recommended!

Tim and David are amazing.  They were very quick to give me a quote, prompt to work, and completed everything in a timely fashion.  A detailed written quote was given, as well as different options for completing the work.  They listened to my needs and offered suggestions without being pushy or making me feel like they were trying to upsell me.  Some things took a bit more time/materials than they expected, and I was given a new quote with the exact changes and the reasons for them.  The work was completed to a standard which far exceeded my expectations.  I will absolutely use these folks again for all my future electrical needs.

Friendly and fast response time. Came out and gave me a quote but was a little more on the pricey side.

Excellent job done on time and on budget. I can't say enough about Williams & Sons Electric and the high quality of work and expertise shown. Working with Tim and Jamie was an absolute pleasure. We needed a main panel reorganized, new sub panels installed and several new circuits run. I don't post many reviews but my experience with Williams & Sons warrants a review as anyone looking for fair, friendly, honest and masterful electricians should call Williams & Sons first.

I ended up not using them because they couldn't even return a phone call.  I finally got a hold of their service and she took down my information and the type of work I needed. She said they would call me back - they didn't. Very bad customer service.

We are absolutely thrilled with the work that Tim did.  He was professional, curious, and quick to arrive and we will definitely be using this business for our future electrical needs.  As a real estate professional I come across many contractors and this one is fantastic.
