We have a house we once lived in and now rent out.  The last tenants were there for 10 years, and when they moved, there were 10 years' worth of things that needed to be fixed or upgraded.  Smoke alarms.  Old paint.  A couple light switches that no longer worked.  An interior wall covered with 1970's vintage wood shingles.  An old stove.  A bathtub with a rust spot that had leaked and been patched three or four times during the prior tenancy.  

I called several contractor/handyman types, each of whom offered to fix one or two things, but couldn't handle others.  Then I called Handyman Helpers.  They sent Vince to look at the house.  

We walked through the house and made a complete list.  The things Vince couldn't do (fabricating a replacement window, for instance, and replacing some worn carpet), he told me who I could call to get them done.  The others, he asked me if I wanted to buy the materials myself to save money (I agreed) and he gave me a complete list of stuff to buy at Lowe's and/or Home Depot (primer, paint, rollers, light switches, fixtures, etc).  Then he (and his team) did the work.  Throughout the process, Vince was available to answer questions and solve problems, even when he was working other jobs in the neighborhood concurrently.  

I would (and intend in the near future) to use him again for another project.  The folks he referred to me for various parts of the job were unfailingly professional and skillful at what they did, and the end result was exactly what I needed.

A++++ Javier contacted me almost immediately and suggested he will send his electrician Freddy to replace the light fixtures I needed changed. Javier is super friendly and extremely quick. Freddy came over and installed my new light fixtures and he did an awesome job at it. Freddy too is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Overall a very quick and smooth experience. Great price!

I had a new house breaker panel put in, and Daniel the electrician was a pro. Patient and methodical, he took a mess of wiring we inherited and turned it into a great looking new panel. Daniel took the time to walk me through the process, and was always receptive when I had questions. He stayed until not only the work was done, but completed to my satisfaction.

I recently hired Dave the Handyman to install a large, exterior Coolaroo roller shade for a window since my back room gets very hot in the summer.

Communication was done via Yelp message with type of project, sending a pic of the item and then pricing provided. I didn't check with other like businesses as I felt the price was in the range and wanted to have it installed sooner as it's been hot!

We did have a miscommunication on the initial date but set up a date/time the next week. He was professional and arrived on time, which I appreciate. The shade was quickly installed with him checking with me on the location, how far out etc. and done in an hour.

I would definitely not hesitate to call/Yelp message him again for other projects.

Bedr and Rabah were fantastic. I felt guilty having them come out downtown during peak rush hour, but it was the only time I could make it work!

I needed to find someone to mount a 4'x8' painting on my wall because I certainly wasn't going to do it! Bedr and Rabah were professional, courteous, and extremely mindful of how we wanted it to be mounted. They even called us over to see an inscription on the back that the artist had written to us before it was going to be impossible to see!

I'm always a little weary letting strangers into my home, especially during COVID. But while these two always had their masks on, their kind demeanor definitely put me at ease.

We have hired Wisdom to do both a bathroom remodel and a kitchen remodel at our home in the Balboa Terrace neighborhood  of SF over the last several years and on both projects, they did an outstanding job. Overpriced!  I called them because I was getting whiffs of gas around my stove.  Brook the technician came and checked things out.  He was nice and professional enough.  Turns out there was a small leak in the pipe which was in the crawl space of the house.  I asked him to take a picture of the problem area, which he did.  I asked him which part of the connection was leaking, he couldn't be specific, said the whole connection apparatus was leaking and needs replaced.  I agreed to have it fixed since I was not going to ignore a gas leak.  He priced it out to $540.  He came the next day after ordering the part (which cost $170) and was there for all of 30 minutes.  I was not able to see the invoice until after he emailed it to me.  The invoice itemizes 3 labor hours at $190/hr.  I called to ask if this was standard pricing procedure as the the repair only took 1/2 hour.  I got a message back that a standard gas line repair was actually $909 but the technician knew that the repair was not going to be that time-consuming so the labor was already reduced!  Beware, this is a flat-pricing company, not your traditional labor and materials company.

Ted was fantastic - professional, courteous, kind and did excellent work! He installed a new faucet and repaired a broken window expertly and quickly, and was able to accommodate my schedule, despite contacting him on short notice. I'll absolutely be calling him again! Highly recommended.

Hired Norman to fix a nagging door that would not close.  Norman was very professional.  He explained everything that he was going to do.  We had other problems as well.  Although those were not part of the project, Norman provided advice on how to fix them.
