Best Fluorescent Light Installa… in San Francisco CA

I have been using Fearghal for my electrical work for the past few years.  He is very fast, reasonably priced, and also a super friendly, helpful guy.  On one visit, I swear he knocked about 7 items off of my to-do list in about an hour, from hanging a heavy chandelier single-handedly to figuring out why a light, doorbell, etc didn't work and fixing them.  And the last time I saw him, I spotted a leak, and he diagnosed it and was able to get a tile guy to my house ASAP and fix it over a holiday weekend -- not usually in an electrician's job description, but that's the kind of guy he is.  Total lifesaver.

John ANSWERED the phone which none of the others did. He came in a timely manner on short notice and offered a really professional and concise evaluation of three problems we had. He fixed it and was on his way. Easy to do business with and very respectful. We will use him again.

Long overdue review for Natalie. She is amazing! She has done a couple projects at our place and is efficient, professional, reasonably priced, etc. She has converted 2 prong outlets to 3 prong, put in new outlets altogether, added lighting outside, and created dim lighting in our bedrooms. Highly recommend working with her for your electrical needs.

Edgar is very nice! He is very reasonable. He did the recess lightings on 3 of our rooms. He was fast and efficient! Would total recommend him!

Had an issue at my house and it turned out to be a problem with PG&E but the owner Lucas was very helpful and able to troubleshoot with me on FaceTime the day after Christmas so that is much appreciated. His guidance helped me fix the issue fast and save me some grief, time and money. I highly recommend Fitch Electric.

What can I say about BV Electric. They are simply the best. I have used Boris Vidas for over 10 years now for various electrical jobs at two of my apartment buildings. Boris and his crew are dependable, and HONEST. I will say that I have used other companies when Boris moved away for a while. What a disappointment most of them were.

Valary Gores of Advanced Electrical was an amazing electrician.  My review is based on this story:

I found a free hot tub on Craigslist last week, and I had no idea if it worked or not.  He took the time to double check that, came out first to make sure the conditions were right to wire it; he listened to my concerns about cost, aesthetics and more.  Then it gets more interesting.  He emailed me what I thought was a quote for the job, which was unbelievably cheap, so I was thrilled.  The day before he came out, he called to double check and resent the full quote.  I was so bummed to learn that it was triple what I had thought because of my error, not his - he had sent the cost of materials first.

 I was too busy to notice and did not double check. Instead of defending his quote, etc.  his communication was amazing; he focused on what should we do now.  We worked out a mid-point price, and he and his staff did the entire job in one day.  I came home from work, thinking like most jobs on my house, that it would be a mess around here.

Instead, I found he had cleaned, and filled the tub and it was heating for my first hot tub.  He also easily explained electrical safety issues which are important for me.  My son was thrilled and ran to get his swim suit.  What really blew me away was his humility regarding the miscommunication, and the aesthetic considerations of running the pipes just under my biggest plants and around so that no view in the garden was obscured.  I have never had service like that.  Highly recommended.

Kevin was so awesome. At a time when all other electricians said we are booked for weeks, Kevin called and said I'll squeeze you in and showed up on a Saturday morning and solved the problem, which happened to be identifying and turning off an energy diverter placed by my upstairs neighbor and landlady. I'd recommend him to anyone

Our fridge outlet kept tripping so we reached out to Edward and he was able to come out the next day! He quickly diagnosed the problem and luckily had the tools on hand to be able to fix right away. He's super affordable and I will be sure to save his number for the next time I have an electrical problem with my house.

RB Electric is a wonderful family electrical business - hire them!

My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and we needed all new electrical. Our house is very old, from 1926 so it's cloth and tube.

We spoke with several companies and decided to go with RB Electic. The owner, Rigo, came out and walked us through what we needed. He is a pleasure to work with - clearly an expert at his craft and eager to provide a really good experience for us. We found his prices to be reasonable given the complexity of the work.

Rigo and his crew showed up on time and were ready to get started. Our job took an entire day and he had all of the materials (boxes, switches, etc) ready to go with him. They removed all of the old electrical and replaced it with new wiring and the correct boxes for the oven and fan hood. They worked very hard all day long and ask me a few questions along the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.

I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. Rigo and his crew are by far the best electricians I've ever worked with and we'll be hiring them again in the future. I highly recommend getting a quote from RB Electric and considering them for your electrical needs.

Michael is my go to electrician.  He has helped me clean up a wiring nightmare in a condo, which had switches mixed and hazardous wiring in the outlets.  Then I needed help with an older single family home and he upgraded all the outlets, checked the switches, and installed an outdoor motion activated floodlight for me.  He is quick to respond and is always on time.  Most recently, I needed to get an electrical issue resolved before a tenant moved in and Michael was quick to respond, troubleshoot the issue, and resolve it.

We set up an appointment then he totally ghosted me. No explanations, no note of cancellation. Just stopped communicating.

Our 1st meeting was fantastic. Electrician, Daniel Watts did a walk through, brought ideas and estimated quotes for our guest shed project. He was very friendly and left a positive impression.  Our 2nd meeting was also good....he started project but could not finish as he stated he was unaware sheetrock had to be installed. So, he had to wait until our sheetrock contractor could start/finish before he could finish. I kept him posted on progress of sheetrock contractor, but then he wanted to charge me an inconvenience fee, all of a sudden, to finish his part as he had other projects on the calendar. After review of terms of contract, there was never a mention of this type of fee and I also found emails and Yelp messages that he was made aware of sheetrock needing to be done, so we straightened everything out. But during our final visit, there was definitely a change of attitude, and my positive impression from our initial visit turned into an okay impression as his positive energy somehow disappeared. Lesson learned: Constant communication is always key when dealing with any contractors.

I used Alley Electric to install recessed lighting in my living room.   I was impressed by their efficiency and professionalism.   I thought the job might take all day, but they were done in about 4 hours leaving the place just as clean and tidy as when they started.

We had great success working with Phils Electric Co. The communication was quick straight from the initial Yelp project creation. Phil came the next day to review our old San Francisco 1957 home with a messed-up electric situation.
Phil is a very experienced engineer who has ideas and solutions for pretty much any problem you could have in your garage. He also knows the code and the local permit regulations well to offer the best strategy to finish the project quickly.
We had a non-trivial layout in the garage. Our water hose faucet was just 5 inches away from the panel. Phil and his partner Anthony were limited in the ways where the panel could be moved. So they offered a thinking out of the box solution to move the faucet away from the panel instead (it should be 36 away per code). Phil has plumbing skills as well and he quickly built a copper pipe extension and installed a new faucet in no time. As a result, our home was upgraded to have 125 amp service (new wire in the existing conduit), the proper grounding implemented (two 8 feet rods), the aux panel added for the future expansion, and the Tesla Wall Charger was installed. All this for less than two days.
As a homeowner who is curious about how things work and has the will to maintain my property, I was fascinated with Phil's wisdom and great experience. He gave me all the expertise on electrical, common risks, and general perspectives. So not only the work was done, but I feel confident that I can do some minor electrical improvements myself now as well.

Came to my house on 24 hours notice, diagnosed an issue, gave me a good referral - did not charge a dime.  Mike is solid.
