Best A/C Installation in Philadelphia PA
I Have used Gen 3 three times and I highly recommend them. They are helpful at solving problems. They are honest. The last guy told me I didn't need anything. My hairdryer was blowing fuses. Dave has been to my house twice. Once to wire a doorbell and today to add several outlets to turn my dining room into a hospital room for me to recuperate after surgery. I need outlets for medical equipment, like an electric hospital bed, a breathing machine , a heating pad and the usual stuff, a phone charger, a lamp, etc.
He came up with a plan to place receptacles where I can reach the ones I will need access to regularly near my hand while I am in bed and to hide the one time plugins on the baseboard. He cleaned up well and completed the work in a timely way. I paid for emergency service, but it was refunded because I spent over the required amount. Great staff!

This review is late but just a couple of quick comments about Greg and his work. Back in July, I called Greg on a whim while looking up electricians on a Google search. From the moment I called and spoke with him and explained the work we needed completed, I genuinely liked him. He was very knowledgeable. Setting up the appointment was easy and he came out to install a new electrical box for our new washer/dryer hook-up. He even offered to replace our original box and the wiring that came with. My husband and I couldn't be happier with his work and detail. We plan on calling Greg for our other jobs throughout our fixer-upper.

I highly recommend Lauterborn Electric. They helped put the finishing touches on our home by installing a ceiling fan in our living area, a funky industrial light fixture over our kitchen island, a stunning chandelier over our dinning room table and a new light fixture outside in our patio. Thanks to their personal, care and touch; our home finally feels like home sweet home.

These guys are great! They've done multiple jobs for my home and business. They are friendly and reasonably priced. Definitely my go-to for any electrical work!

Buckle up - long review incoming.
Had JDV out to do an estimate - Mike arrived promptly, was professional and courteous, and provided information throughout his time here. However, that is where the positive part ends.
After performing the estimate. Mike sat down with me and presented two packages - one for 16000 dollars and another for 3200. The lesser estimate was to replace outlets and replace expired hardwired smoke/CO detectors. These detectors go from anywhere between 40-55 dollars (retail, not wholesale) depending on the brand, with labor being roughly 1 hour to replace all necessary components (there were 8). JDV wanted 3200 Dollars to replace those and roughly 25 outlets (only 1 of those being GFI) inside of the home. This is a total of about 4 hours' worth of work (generously and assuming brittle wiring (which I likely have).
That was bad enough.
The higher (and considerably more insane) estimate - 16k - included a panel replacement - a 50-foot junction box run to replace an old fuse sub-panel, (5 breakers total) - run a grounding wire, and do the aforementioned work contained in the smaller estimate. He also noted, corrosion (nothing reaching the buss bar or any corrosion besides humidity (a flex seal fix) - and explained that I would need a new panel and new fireguard breakers.
Please keep in mind - an 80 slot 200 amp panel is 130 dollars at home depot (with standard GE breakers - which are fine of course). Additional breakers as needed are cheap and effective. Additionally, it is noted on the estimate that if any fireguard panels actually trip - it is roughly 400 dollars (per breaker!) for them to fix that issue. Using that math - JDV wanted roughly 8 THOUSAND dollars (conservative) in labor to perform the panel/breaker change)
He also pushed a whole house surge protector (I run UPS on all of my electronics already) - and their service plan which includes yearly inspections.
When I asked him to provide a breakdown for parts and labor - Mike explained that JDV does not provide that and that the estimates include cost of doing business, and of course their 3-year warranty (keep in mind most products serviced come with their own manufacturer's warranty. Please keep in mind that they only warranty their service (Ie. Actual work) for one year.
I believe my internal thought process was that I could BECOME an electrician AND perform the work for about the cost of the estimate. I believe what I actually asked is do people actually pay you those prices?
I have owned multiple houses and have has almost all of the work done described in the estimate on one property or another. I have never encountered an estimate even in the realm of what JDV quoted me. His reticence to break down the estimate further cemented my skepticism.
I am sure the work is top-notch based on reviews and how thorough the inspection was. I was floored by his pricing. I called another electrician with similarly strong reviews - and provided him with the breakdown of what JDV quoted me. For the SAME work minus the service plan or whole house surge protector - I was quoted a respectable 2300 dollars. Same warranty, same service window.
The moral of the story - ask for a breakdown of services, and please make sure you do your homework before agreeing to pay that type of pricing. There are much more reasonable estimates to be had.

My husband and I were suffering from an electrical emergency that was increasing in severity as days went on, impacting electricity to certain parts of our house, including my precious central air. On Saturday morning at 1 a.m. I sent out a call via Yelp for assistance from area Electricians. iTech was first to respond and set up a time to visit the next afternoon. They were quick to diagnose the issue and straightforward when it came to pricing, honoring the Yelp referral discount referenced on their page. They returned on Monday to complete the job at the beginning of the window of when they said they would be there - no waiting! They even beat me home! They worked quickly, quietly and efficiently and the job was completed within the estimated amount of time, as well and the issue that was effecting our house has been solved. As someone who is always nervous about picking someone to work on their house and someone who is very conscious about value, I was delighted by the work they did and would absolutely recommend them to a friend or a neighbor. Thank you!

They grounded and updated the whole house in 2 days. Now we're safe thanks to FMJ. They are nice and reliable as well.

I contacted GE Electrical Services after a bad electrician wired my house completely wrong. Edmond gave me a fair price to correct all the issue. His team does not cut corners and they make sure everything was up to code. Communication was good. I will be calling them for all my future projects.

Very professional, knowledgeable, and handy. Affordable and well worth the money. CJ is so warm and charming. He came to check out the circuit breaker, his original job for coming to my home. Well I had a ring nest doorbell that had been sitting on my table for almost a year and CJ was more than happy to oblige me. Thank you CJ, you're the best. Will definitely be acquiring services from here on out. Gotta give a shout out to Pops as well. My motto now is One and Dunn!!!

PG came out to restore power to our doorbell. They replaced the transformer quickly and without issue. They were right on time, professional, and did good work at a good price. Also good communication

The electrician was absolutely wonderful. They came out as quickly as possible. My only complaint would be the high cost of the service call. It might have been a bit too high. However, I would use this company again. The service was great! Thank you.

Andi came out to install an outdoor light, and find the route of a problem with some old wiring. Both tasks completed successfully. He did a third while on location when asked. The company was very quick to respond to initial email and they set up a very quick appointment. Andi was very knowledgeable and extremely efficient. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Requested a quote and installation for recessed lights and ceiling fans in multiple rooms in my house. Quoted price was very reasonable and they worked with us to discuss options, expectations, and supplies. Communication was excellent and when they were running a little behind due to other jobs, they reached out to us to keep us aware of their status. They finished within the expected timeframe and were extremely courteous. For future electrical work, I'll be reaching out to these guys.

I recently purchased a washer and dryer that were set to be delivered to my new home on Saturday. On Wednesday I realized that I did not have an outlet to put the washer on. I called Strickland Electric and told him what my situation was. He came out that same day to give me an estimate. The price was $25 cheaper than another estimate I received and he agreed to do the work before the washer and dryer were set to arrive. He arrived within the time frame he set and started right to work. He cleaned up his work area when done. Last he showed me how to turn the socket on and off and explained instances where it would turn off on its own. He was very polite and professional. Strickland Electric is going to be my go-to electrician from now on.

Stahl Electric was outstanding. We hired them to install ceiling fans, new lighting, update old outlets, an electric-car-charger, and various other things. They were fast, reliable, professional, respectful, and really just wonderful all around. Can't say enough good stuff about them. Will definitely be hiring them again for any electrical work down the road.

I bought a house 5 years ago and we have always been hesitate to call an electrician since we thought it was going to cost a lot with all the projects we had. I messaged Alba Electric and within 10 minutes got a response and he was on my way to give me a quote for our dishwasher not working (outlet was out) and splitting the wires for the fan and the light. He gave me a very reasonable quote. The whole process from me sending a message on yelp to him walking out the door only took 2 hours and he's such a sweetheart! Found my go to guy for my electrical needs! He knows what he's talking about so message him!!

The best electricians in South Jersey. Very professional and honest. They have done work at our old house. We now live out of State and they help with our electrical needs at rental properties. A top notch service that I can always count on! Thank you MP Electric.
