Bob and Team were great. Prompt communication and super friendly. I had to get an gfci outlet installed and they came on time and briefly explained what they had to do. They also took the time to go over a few quotes with me.

I want to do additional work with them so book with them fast because they seem to getting jobs constantly.

Everything you want in an electrician - skill, experience, reliability, attention to detail, reasonable prices. I've used Joel at least 4 times so far and will continue to do so until they outlaw electricity or electricians.

I had been saving up a bunch of work for Joel this year. Gave him the laundry list and scheduled a day for him and Jay to swing by. They had already done the kitchen reno, a bunch of smart lighting and controls, and camera installations for us last year.

This year it was ceiling fans, additional smart lighting controls, new lighting fixtures, and to troubleshoot a problematic camera.

Not only was the work done efficiently, but the new lighting fixtures look like they were always there. He also considered the camera troubleshooting warranty work although it turned out to be a manufacturer issue to their satisfaction. Above and beyond.

As long as Joel is in business, we'll continue to use him for our electrical needs.

Joel is very cool. Very professional. Reasonably priced and he knows what he's doing. I highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Joel.  We had two separate jobs a week apart.  Both were done very well and he even saved me money with recommendations.  Joel is very pleasant to work with and I would definitely hire him again.

Joel and his team are highly knowledgeable, communicative, respectful, and price their work competitively. They even offered ways to reduce the cost of our job. We had them install a 240v outlet in the garage for an EV charger, a 240v forced air heater in the basement, along with a couple other smaller jobs. They identified and fixed an unrelated safety issue with our electrical panel while they were at it. Working with them has been one of the most pleasant contractor experiences in years. Our experience with Joel and Aratech was fantastic! Joel was prompt and was efficient with his time. Our kitchen now has recessed lighting and our dining room have the chandelier. Joel is great to work with. We have now had him out for 2 different visits for various electrical fixes and projects. He fixed a bunch of issues that came up on our home inspection for our new home. He added an electric outlet so we could hook up an electric dryer. Today we had him out to install some new lighting in our living room that has 18 foot ceilings. He does great work at a fair price. He is also great with communication and is quick to answer any questions. We will for sure be calling him again!

I had a situation where my garage refrigerator stopped working all of a sudden and various outlets including the one for my sump pump and basement refrigerator stopped functioning as well. Could not figure it out so I searched for an electrician with great Yelp reviews to make an appointment. The Yelp reviews for Joel with Aratech Electrical Services seemed to stand out from the rest. I called around 8pm on Thursday expecting voice mail, however Joel answered the phone. I described my problem and he took his time to carefully explain what probably occurred and what to do to resolve the issue.
I searched all over for any GFCI outlets to reset but could not find any.
Finally remembered that the sump pump GFCI outlet was covered with a multi outlet cover and was able to reset the GFCI outlet and everything was working immediately! He certainly could have made a service call and charged me for something that I was able to remedy following his directions.
Hats off to Joel and Aratech for honesty and truly caring about people!!

I just moved into the Furlong area from Manhattan. Don't know anyone here. I looked up reviews of various electricians but they were either expensive or had bad reviews. One fellow from another company came out and gave me a high estimate. I was looking for someone to put in two receptacles on its own 15 amp breaker in the basement and run a Cat 6 ethernet line there as well.  Plus change the ends of three phone connectors in my home to Ethernet as Cat 5E wiring was already in place.

After getting some high prices I finally found Joel who owns Aratechservices.  He didn't have any reviews on Yelp (though there were some hidden reviews blocked by their bot) but he did have some on Google. They were all good. So I called Joel and he talked with me for a bit, not making me feel rushed. I explained to him what I wanted to do. Being in the IT business I had some ideas what this should cost. He said best for him to come out, see everything to give a more accurate estimate. We made an appointment a few days later and he arrived exactly on time.  Went over some different plans, he listened to my thoughts and he had some good ideas as well and I was happy to the costs involved.  But he said he would send over an estimate that evening so I could see the prices for everything.

Sure enough that estimate arrived by evening and it was professionally displayed with every line item detailed and the plan explained. There was a place where I could modify the plan or accept as is. I chose to modify slightly our idea and he agreed and kept it at the same price even though it required some more time on his behalf.

Joel arrived couple days later with his assistant Tim and immediately began running the electrical line to the basement. I was right away impressed as his assistant held a vacuum to collect all the debris! They routed the line through conduit that was the shortest and cleanest route they could find. Had to cut a square into the basement ceiling for access. Then they ran the CAT 6. Same attention to detail to drop it down. Capped it off with a two gang plate with two receptacles and an ethernet jack.  While he was doing this part he said he could easily install two electrical receptacles in the garage that could be handy in the future. At NO additional cost. I said sure lets do it and was very happy about that.

Joel then moved on to the router side where we were going to take three ethernet outputs and run it to Verizon punch down block so I could get ethernet in the three other rooms. But then we had a thought. Since he just provided two ac receptacles near the Verizon box how about we put a 5 port ethernet switch right inside and then we only need one ethernet coming out of the router. I had a few switches being in the computer business. This would cut down running two other lines and make the whole thing easier. Joel agreed and now we had a better setup. After this was completed he terminated the three phone lines with ethernet jacks and we tested all of them by doing a speed test. Sure enough I was getting 1 Gig to all locations as I have 1 Gig coming from the Fios router.  He also had his voltage/electrical meter on the new ac line the whole time testing as well.

At this point everything was done other then cleanup.  I noticed Tim was no longer around. The only thing I was concerned about was that square hole in the basement ceiling. Was he going to cover that?  I didn't say anything to Joel to see what would happen. Then I mentioned Where is Tim? Is he all done as I wanted to say goodbye and thank him with a tip.  That's when Joel said he sent him to Home Depot as he did not have a cover for the basement ceiling. Sure enough Tim arrived back ten minutes later with the cover and they installed it.  As they were leaving (after 5 hours of solid work) I asked Joel about payment and he said he would send the bill electronically and I could pay using Paypal. He must have been busy that night or tired as I didn't receive until the next night.  To cap it all off he actually reduced the price of the original estimate. Since we changed the plan by putting in the switch he didn't need as many parts and time to complete the job. He passed those savings on to me and I immediately sent payment!

All in all I am extremely satisfied with the work Joel and Tim from Aratechservices performed. They are super professional. Highly recommend for any electrical needs!!

Excellent service experience with Joel and Aratech Services.  We had 3 hard wired smoke detectors replaced and an outlet installed.  From my initial call to set up the appointment to the final installation, everything was perfect.  Joel and his assistant were professional and personable.  Work was done quickly and neatly.  Joel proactively explained the safety features of the new outlets and ensured that we had directions for the new smoke detectors.  Before leaving he took the time to answer and questions and explain the bill.  I definitely recommend Joel and Aratech Services.

Joel was great.  Had an issue with lights on my deck.  I thought it might be the transformer but decided to wait and let Joel figure it out.  Just a short, no new transformer needed.  His fee was less than a new transformer I was ready to buy.  Thanks Joel.

UPDATE 8/24: We recently moved into our new home and we reached out to Joel with questions regarding LED, outdoor lighting not working, breaker boxes that we didn't know what purpose they served, some lighting that was flickering and switch plates on the wall that were hot to the touch.  Joel was quick and knowledgeable to figure out exactly what needed to be done to fix the issues.  He was able to answer every question we had and even took care of some of our issues right on the spot.  He then provided fair, itemized estimates for the other jobs that we wanted him to take care of. Great service!!

We had Joel come out to help us with a broken GFI outlet on the outside of our home.   He was so knowledgeable and friendly.  He explained what was wrong and how it needed to be fixed.  The price was very reasonable as well.  I recommend this company to anyone looking to have electrical work done, whether an urgent repair or if you are looking to do some upgrades.

The owner Joel is professional and friendly. Prices quoted were great and With no extra charges. He gave a couple different quotes for so we could choose which fix we wanted to do. We upped the electrical service coming into the house instead of just repairing the problem. So in the future we can add ac. Cleaned up after the job and made new labels for every circuit after he verified each one was what the label said. I highly recommend Aratech services. Will hire again if needed.

Requested a quote and installation for recessed lights and ceiling fans in multiple rooms in my house. Quoted price was very reasonable and they worked with us to discuss options, expectations, and supplies. Communication was excellent and when they were running a little behind due to other jobs, they reached out to us to keep us aware of their status. They finished within the expected timeframe and were extremely courteous. For future electrical work, I'll be reaching out to these guys.
