Gaston from Nair came at very short notice on a Friday evening and fixed a replacement light-switch/socket that I had screwed up bringing down all the power in my apartment...  He was nice, fixed the problem, only charged me the basic (minimum) call-out fee in total and happily applied the 15% discount which i advertised on yelp.  Thank you!

These guys are the real deal. We had a tight deadline because of undue pressure from another contractor and luckily Ilya was able to accommodate us last fall.  The communication was great! Having worked with several contractors, I found Ilya and his team to be very transparent, honest, and skilled. We had a panel replaced and lights installed over concrete and the result was wonderful. Needed an electrician last minute for a neon chandelier install for one of our clients because our initial electrician backed out last minute. Usually when we mention high voltage or neon most electricians would back away but after talking to Avi over the phone about the process and materials we would need he hopped on the job! Jason was on time and resolved my electrical outlet and connected electrical problems right away.  While at my house he fixed a couple of other electrical issues without any incremental charges.  Both Jason and Stephen are professional and take pride in their work.  I would highly recommend using them.

Background:
I live in a 2-bedroom, 3yr-old condo in Park Slope. The fuse to a room that houses our washer & dryer, water heater and boiler/hvac kept blowing out last week (3x in 7-day span). Called Gambi after reading some of the positive reviews on Yelp and because he was local to the neighborhood. Called around 5pm, and he said he'd be over w/in 2 hours, arrived at 6:30pm. Fast.

Once he came over, he took a look at the fuse in the fuse box. He said it was likely a blown fuse that should be replaced. But he said it could also be, in some cases, the way the 3 power outlets were connected and spliced in the room; and that he'd like to make sure, otherwise I'd be calling again in a few weeks.

He checked the first 2 outlets in the room and saw they were without power, but the 3rd outlet in the room was essentially inaccessible, behind a stacked washer/dryer unit that was REALLY REALLY hard to reach. In fact, washer & dryer unit was in this room so tight that we've always wondered how it ever got installed in the first place. Eugene said in order to really be sure what the root of the electrical problem was, he'd need to check the outlet; so had to move the top dryer half of the unit. The man climbed a ladder, slid into the narrowest, dustiest of spaces between the dryer and ceiling to unplug the unit, turn off the gas valve.

Then we spent an hour slowly, meticulously removing the unit. Sweat, dust, strength, geometry, patience - he used all in good measure. Went to his truck 3 different times to get the right tools to unhook the gas tube, disconnect the vent, etc. Finally got the unit down, and he checked the outlet. Unfortunately, it wasn't the source of the problem - but I respect that he needed to check it to make sure. He did say the power outlet was the wrong kind - a ground wire outlet (the kind with the reset buttons you see in bathrooms), but essentially inaccessible and unnecessary. So he changed that, re-checked the wiring in the wall. Said now we wouldn't ever have to worry about the wiring in that room again. He then changed the fuse in the fuse box that he suspected was the source of the problem in the first place.

He spent another 30 minutes carefully re-installing the dryer unit and putting things back as they were (he climbed back into the narrow space to re-attach the gas valve, plug and vent. Tested the gas valve seal with soapy water to make sure it was re-attached sans leakage). He even thoroughly vacuumed the fuse box that was filled with wood dust and debris, the sloppy aftermath of lazy contractors - and the suspected source of our blown fuse, he said.

He charged me simply for the 1 1/2 hours of his time, at the rate he initially quoted me on the phone. Didn't even charge me for the new fuse he used to replace the blown one.

And beyond all that - Eugene was totally a chill, pleasant dude the whole time. Great to talk to. Explained what he was doing as he was going through everything. Never once said anything negative or sideways or expressed impatience or that passive aggressive heavy sighing bullshit.

Conclusion:
This is the kind of experience you just don't think exists anymore. The thoroughness, the desire to work at the problem until it's fixed. The helpful disposition. The straight-forwardness. The helpfulness. It was like having your expert handyman uncle or something coming over to fix something you know nothing about.

Highly recommend calling Eugene/Gambi if you ever need an electrician.

Away on vacation, pipes burst... a wonderful neighbor went to my home, turned off the main water value / firemen turned off circuit breakers... now what?
I called Ian (from Scotties Electric). He was unbelievable, immediately he found a Plumber ( i had called many with no luck)... Ian went to my home to meet the plumber who repaired the pipes, and Ian restored my electric, heat, etc... my home would have been seriously damaged had it not been for Ian.

Don't recommend. He was like you didn't pay me from three years ago. I said why didn't you say anything? Nothing. Slightly aggressive and annoying. I would hire someone else.

Casey analyzed my electrical problems thoroughly and efficiently and proposed a great solution at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend his work product and professionalism!

Tony was GREAT! I highly recommend this company! They scheduled me in right away! Mingy sent me the necessary proof of insurance and license within MINUTES.

Tony and his team went above and beyond to make sure I got my plumbing fixed. The toilet I ordered from the manufacturer was broken when we opened the box and Tony went around Manhattan and got me another toilet same day!

We needed a GFCI outlet replaced and Moheb was extremely responsive in our communication, was cost competitive and, most importantly, did a high quality job very quickly. He was right on time the day of the job, communicative via text, and in and out in less than 30 minutes. Added benefit is he gave some pointers on a change to our electrical panel we could make long-term to save on electricity costs (just advice, did not push any unwanted services or anything).

Would highly recommend him to anyone who needs electrical work.

We had an urgent and complicated problem in our kitchen.

We tried two other electrical companies before calling Konstantinos and none of them were able to identify or fix the problem. One of them even claimed that with his 40 years of experience, this is something not fixable.

Konstantinos came on the same day he received our call. He spent a lot of time troubleshooting the problem and explain to us what he's doing and what kind of problem he is trying to find/rule out.

I'm happy to report that the issue is finally fixed.

I highly recommend Konstantinos. I would definitely call him again if I need an electrician again in the future.

He came provide a good estimate started right away finished less than hour.  I had my range hood replaced and also these new hood needed a three prong outlet.  He removed and replaced my range hood.  Added the new outlet instead of the old range hood connection.   He also cleaned up after he was done.

Called them at 7am. Came at 8am. They fixed an important issue for us immediately. Service man was friendly and nice. Highly recommend

This guy does all wrong wrong . You will need to hire someone to rd do everything .

I hired him for two projects to change all sub panels . He couldn't even wire the breakers properly .

He also plays a game gives you a price n then says o this is extra .

You clearly know what you need to get the job done . But he will leave things out so he can bill you more

Be aware . Stay clear you will have to do double work
