Best Sconce Light Installation in Los Angeles CA
Had an excellent experience with Alex & Alex last weekend. I reached the younger Alex early Saturday afternoon to see if they might be available to fix a wiring problem over the weekend. Even though he was booked with Saturday appointments, he managed to come that afternoon and fix the problem!
We discussed some other electrical work I'd like done in the near future (e.g. installation of landscape lighting, replacement of ceiling fixtures, cat 6 ethernet cable installation), and Alex was very knowledgeable about everything. We will definitely be using them for those and other electrical needs in the future. I cannot recommend Alex & Alex enough - for their expertise, responsiveness, great work ethic and outstanding customer service.

WASTE OF TIME!!!!
I woke up early and made sure to be ready before the electrician was supposed to arrive - between 8 and 9 am. At 8:15 I called because I never did get a confirmation and wanted to make sure they were coming. The person I spoke with said yes they will be there between 9 and 11 as I was hanging up.
What? No, they insisted I be home and not my family because I was the Client so I got up early and made sure I could get to work late, but they would be there between 8 and 9.
I called back and was told oh yeah, between 9 and 11. That wasn't going to work so I said they will have to work with my mom because I needed to get to work. She said great and someone will be there. My mom waited, and waited, and waited - and no one showed. Meanwhile she couldn't do anything in case they showed up so her morning was wasted.
At 11:27 am I got a call saying they really want me to be there so when would be a good time. I responded saying what - you mean my mom has been waiting and no one was even on their way - so I said no I don't want to work with them and enough time has been wasted. I will use someone else.
Then the texts started - saying they had left a voicemail and called twice. I even got a screenshot of the call log to my phone - two calls - one for 1 second and one lasting a whole 8 seconds. I know you can't even get through my voicemail in 8 seconds let alone leave a message in that time, so they just were lying.
I wasted so many hours because of BK electric and even though they offered a discount I can't trust them to show up even for an estimate, let alone for real work. They offered me a discount too, but when they are this flaky I can't really risk losing more time for them to not show up.

So rad, Scott helped me fix an outlet GFI issue in 10 seconds of speaking with him on the phone! Fixed!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but the service and workmanship from this place made me dig up my Yelp credentials after 9+ years to recognize them for amazing service and a fantastic job. They fixed my electrical issue (lazy wiring by my contractor...even I know to make a pigtail for downstream outlets) for not just the problem outlet, but Hector even checked other possible problem outlets and fixed those as well. This was not an easy task as our breaker panel was on the 1st floor and all the electrical issues were on the 2nd floor... in another building. He cheerfully trudged up and down the stairs to switch breakers on & off and then test outlets with no complaint. Even with my elderly father trying to give him advice (micro-manage) during the task.
He even checked other issues our tenant had in another building that I mentioned offhand as an issue he could come back and check later. He said that as long as he's here he might as well take a look, and he was able to fix that as well, (re-wiring a burnt out breaker switch).
Then when he gave me the bill I was shocked...at how low it was! I had to include a decent tip to make up for it as I felt I was robbing him, especially during Covid times. If you're in their service area and have electrical issues, give Hector a call. He arrived on time, masked up, extremely patient, and ready to listen to me and take care of the electrical problems I was facing.

Manny was great. Very helpful. He sent his associate, Alex to do the work. Nothing major. Alex was on time, friendly, expert, fast, and thorough. Bar far the best price I was quoted from my YELP estimates.

Unhappy with them. Got charged a fee for the guy to do absolutely nothing. It's insane. It was around $120 for him to not help at all.

My husband and I were looking for an electrician to install new outlets and and new j-box with ceiling fan. Omer responded right away and was able to come out on the weekend to install them. He and his team came by when scheduled and kept our house clean and communicated with us throughout the process. Great service and would definitely recommend.

I spoke with the receptionist for a bit bec she has a sister I share my name with and she really is an asset to the company so I give 5 stars to Karen who is not a Karen :-)
I also give 5 stars to Flor who called me back to ask some questions and give me a run down on the company. She had an answer to all of my questions and wasn't rushing me or pushy and I loved that.
The 5 star reviews of Mario and his team/company is what made me want to hire them for a FULL REWIRE with extras on a duplex.
The only 2 reasons I did not get an estimate is bec they charge a $50 non-refundable fee if you do not use them. I don't like that bec if you want to charge me $30k for $15k job then I'm not going to use you and I felt like they might and that's why there's a fee. The 2nd reason I didn't use them is bec they said it will be a 5 week long job and I cannot leave tenants without electricity that long and others say they can get it done as quick as the inspections/permits take and no longer.
Since I have not used them, I cannot really review that aspect. This review is just answering YELP'S question of if I used them and why or why not :-)
Oh! A HUGE PLUS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY LET YOU FINANCE!!! That's awesome.

Steve was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when he came over to fix an electrical/power issue in my house. Unlike other electricians I've worked with in the past, Steve was quick to respond and showed up at my doorstop in less than an hour when i first called. I would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a reliable electrician. He really knows what he's doing and I will definitely contact him again in the future when I have electrical issues. Thanks again Steve!

Nshan was great! He is professional, polite, efficient and knowledgeable. We wanted our EV charger installation to be permitted and he handled it all. He even texted me the night before the inspector was to arrive and reminded me. I am absolutely calling East West Electric for our future electrical work!

Had a great experience with Walteria Electric today. A fuse blew affecting my refrigerator, kitchen appliances, and my Wi-Fi router. I called around 7:30 am and they came a little before 9:00 am and had the fuse replaced in a very short time. Very courteous service and reasonably priced. I would definitely use them again.

Yarin and his crew did an excellent rewiring my garage. I was very satisified with their professionalism, eye for detail, and even recommendations on other subcontractors for drywall / paint so that I could have a flawless finished product. I could not be happier with how the project turned out.

I had some outlets that weren't working so I contacted USA because they had done a job for me a few years back. I got a quick reply and was told they could go out and give me a free estimate. Eventually their electrician, Steve came out. He was on time, did some quick troubleshooting and gave me an estimate to find and repair the problem. The estimate was high, but he worked with me and was able to lower it. He was very nice and explained what he needed to do. He was able to find the problem and fix it within a fairly short amount of time. He was friendly, professional and fixed the issue. He gave me a 90 day guarantee on the work and gave me advice on other electrical issues.
I feel comfortable recommending this company for any electrical issues.

I am so happy I got in contact with Orlando from Yireh Electric. He was very responsive and helpful. He assessed the problem and the next day he was able to fix the problem. He is very passionate about his work and he is knowledgeable. I am also glad that he quoted us at a reasonable price and gave us 3 year warranty. We will definitely have Orlando and his team finish rewiring our house and updating our electricity. Thank you Orlando. We appreciate you.

I've known Wil Jackson and used Modern Electric for over 30 years, probably closer to 40. I have used him exclusively in three different houses over the years and have referred him to people countless times. It is with great pain that I now have to stop recommending him and write this updated review. I've considered him a friend, but a friend does not do what he's done on our current job.
We ended up moving to Oxnard to a 108-year-old historic house that needed to have all the old knob and tube wiring replaced. We couldn't find a qualified person up here to do the job, so I turned to Wil and he agreed to do it. The only caveat was that I would have to pay for the extra mileage for his workers to drive up here, but it was a relief to know the work was being done by someone I trusted.
Little did I know, that wasn't going to be the case. Long story short, almost a year after the start date and nearly $100k spent...the first technician he sent up did some pretty good work, but then quit because (he says) Wil wouldn't pay his benefits and he could get better work elsewhere. An apprentice was also sent with this first guy, and I was paying him the same salary as the seasoned electrician. He ended up screwing up many things that had to be redone, so I was paying twice for so much work.
So when the first guy quit, it left me in a lurch with no work going on. Wil found another worker and sent him up here, he was okay but admitted that he wouldn't have known how to do all the previous work that had been done so far. Then I found that he was actually redoing work that had already been completed. For 2 days he undid all the new wires in the meter box and rerouted them. So that was 2 days of labor I had to pay to redo the first guy's work. And that happened quite a bit. This guy also spent a lot of time on the phone scheduling other jobs which would often mean he would cancel coming to my house if he found better work.
At some point in the job, our historical doorbell got disconnected. I told Wil it needed to be reconnected before the job is done. I just received an invoice today and he was charging me for a new transformer and wire, on top of paying his guys to fix the doorbell that his other guys disconnected.
That, too, has happened a number of times where I found materials I was being charged for that I shouldn't have been charged for. I also had to pay Wil to periodically drive up here to I guess check on the work being done. Most of the time was spent at my dining room table chatting about his family problems, but I was then charged for my friendly ear and advice.
The second technician also realized at some point how necessary he was to complete the job and decided he wasn't being paid enough so said he wouldn't return without a raise. Because I was paying Modern Electric for time and materials, and not a contracted price, I was stuck paying this ransom raise. I also had to pay for his workers supplies like plastic (which they often didn't use and got construction dust everywhere), and saw blades. I've never had to pay for a contractor's work supplies before.
Each time I brought this to Wil's attention, he took it as a personal affront and tried to make me feel bad for bringing it up. He'd say, What do you want me to do? to which I'd reply, You shouldn't have to ask after this many years in business. Maybe it's time for him to retire.
And lastly, his wife does all of his bookkeeping and often doesn't seem to know what she's doing. If you don't pay the invoice the day she sends it out, she harps on Wil to find out why it hasn't been paid. Normally, if there's no due date on an invoice, you have 30 days to pay it. His invoices had no due dates. But on day 2 if there was no payment made, they were harping on me to find out why. I finally told him to stop! I said if they wanted instant payment the invoices had to say due upon receipt. Even then, most businesses allow a grace period for payment. But not Wil's wife. His workers told me that other customers complain about her all the time.
So, if you're going to use Modern Electric, I suggest you monitor the work constantly and monitor even more closely the invoices and what you're being charged for.

I have benefited on several occasions by Min of MK Electric. These have included an electrical problem requiring repair, the relocation of wiring for my pool equipment, and the installation of LED lighting in my kitchen.
On all three occasions, I found Min to be very timely, completely professional, reasonably priced, creative in his problem solving, and very personable.
The work has always been done perfectly, the first time, and he has taken steps to ensure that there is no mess.
Without reservation, I can recommend Min and MK Electric for any and all electrical needs.

Kirsten is amazing! From the start to finish, she followed up on everything, kept in constant contact with me, and was very professional. The Installers did a great job installing a new plug for me to charge my new electric car, I'm very happy with the work. Hands down this company will handle all of your needs. A great team!
