Use Steve! I wanted to tell everyone what a great, honest, and caring guy Steve is. I called him because my freezer stopped working in the garage. Steve told me upfront he wouldn't be able to come out for few days. So he kindly recommended a different electrician who fixed the loose wire.

But, this review is about Steve. Steve called me several times to follow up. He wanted to be sure the freezer wasn't broken, then to confirm I got hold of the electrician, and finally to be sure the problem was fixed and to call him for any future electrical needs.
I will definitely be calling Steve and I highly recommend you do too. He is very professional but more important, he truly cares about helping others. Thank you Steve.

We moved into our home a few years ago. After many months struggling with the electricians our home warranty group would send out, we were lucky to find Steve through Yelp. About a year ago Steve was able to fix a broken doorbell and a non-functioning GFC outlet. We called him again today regarding other outlet issues. Both times that he provided his services not only did he fix the issues, but he explained what was happening and provided us with options on how to best address them. Even beyond his electrical expertise, Steve is just an all around great guy. We have recommended Steve/Turn Electric to my husband's boss a few months ago. You know you only make recommendations to your boss when you're fully confident with who you're recommending :). I have no doubt that if you're having an electrical issue, Steve would be the best expert for the job.

Steve is very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and fast. He has been our go to guy whenever we need electrical services. We requested for recessed lighting in our kitchen, dining and living rooms and he and his son Daniel worked really fast and thorough. We called him in a Tuesday expecting to install it at the end of the week, luckily enough they were able to come in the next day to install it. They also cleaned up after the job was done we would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Steve is a great electrician and will be my go-to from now on. As others have said he's helpful, thoughtful, and doesn't try to make money from unnecessary repairs. He also obviously really knows what he's doing, and fixed three difficult lights that were wired incorrectly and a bathroom fan in less than two hours. I'm not sure what I'll do when he retires someday, so book him while you can! :)

The kitchen outlet sparks and was very dangerous. I called Turn Electric and Steve was available right away. I was very concern with the price but he assures me that it is free diagnostic. I was in the middle of upgrading my switches in my home to smart switches when I ran into a snag. After installing the switches, I was no longer getting power to my lights even though I had power on my feed and neutral side. Being an automotive technician, I went down the rabbit hole as far as I could go based upon my general knowledge of electrical circuits, but alas, my home wiring defeated me. It was time to call in someone that works on this type of electrical systems day in and day out. After speaking with Steve, we arranged for him to come by the next morning. He actually arrived early and was able to quickly diagnose my issue as well as educate me as to what it is that he found and why the fault existed. He was able to correct the fault as well as get rid of some annoying 3 way wiring that bothered me and install and check function on my new switches for me all before he left. His pricing was more than fair and I appreciate that he took a simpler, but still effective repair approach whereas other electricians would have likely charged me more by going up into my attic and start running new wires. Steve's your guy for honest, straight forward electrical service.

Had Steve come out to my place again to install a flood light that was not getting any power. Steve was able to figure out the source of our problem by going up into the attic and working on a junction box. He also thoroughly explained what the problem was and showed me where it was located on my breaker box. By the end my floodlight was working and I had the knowledge of how to address any simple problems related to it. Can't overstate my recommendation for Steve as an electrician. His work is great and he helped me understand the problem and how to address it in the future.

I had been trying to get my regular electrician to come all morning, but he kept putting me off and giving me excuses. So, I went looking for another electrician and I found Turn Electric. I called and Steve came out on a Sunday afternoon. He came out in less than 30 minutes and fixed my fuse in less than 20 minutes. My garage door was shut closed because of the fuse and the electricity wasn't working. Now, my garage door works and I can use my car. I am very grateful!

The fridge decided to die on us while cooking dinner last night. Summers in LA are brutal. It was determined that the fridge was fine, but the power outlets were not. It was an issue with our breaker.
I found Steve on Yelp, and called first thing this morning. He was able to help me the same morning, a couple hours after I had called.

I called Turn Electric because I was having some recessed lighting issues. Steve was ready to come out right away. He came to the house and diagnosed the problem and while at it he found some other issues with the breaker box which I had overlooked. He was able to fix all issues right away and didn't upsell anything. As a matter of fact, the issue with the recessed lights ended up being something I could easily fix myself and instead of him fixing it and charging me, he told me what I needed to replace and saved me money in the process. Half the sockets went out in our kitchen this morning. Hubby (who is known to be able to fix anything) tried his best to resolve it but in the end we had to call the guy. Once again I relied on Yelp to steer me in the right direction and once again Yelp did not met me down. Reviewing for service, not for work done:

We had a set of lights go out in our kitchen, and could not fix it via reseting the breaker. Steve came out promptly (within 15 minutes), diagnosed the issue, and instead of selling us a bill of goods, let us know we simply we needed new fixtures and refused to charge us.

It's very easy to get used to repairmen trying to soak you, so it was quite refreshing to have someone matter of factly tell us the issue and walk away. We're going to give him a call again next time we have an issue.

The outlet that powered our sprinklers stopped working. I called Steve at 8 and he was at my he was at my house by 9 am. I called Steve from Turn Electric today regarding a problem with an electrical outlet in our house. He came after work hours to diagnose and explain what the problem was and gave a free estimate on how much it would cost to fix it. The price was fair and he did a great job fixing the outlet.

I would like to be clear with people reading this review, a lot of electricians out there will charge you to just come out to check out the problem that you have and give you an estimate. Some will even charge an hour's work rate just to do that which can be around a couple of hundred bucks. Steve came after business hours and explained what the problem was and gave a free quote. I only had to pay for the actual work done. The feeling that I got from him was that he was an honest guy that does a great job at a fair price. He doesn't try to price gouge or try to recommend any extra work that is not necessary. It felt like I was dealing with a good neighbor. Looks like I found a go to guy for my electrical needs. Another fantastic job from Steve and his son.

We needed three bathroom vanity lights installed and reached out to Steve for a quote and his availability. Steve got back to me within 10 minutes and was scheduled to come the next day.

Steve and his son arrived on time and immediately got to work. The project was really quick and the lights look really great. Very reasonably priced.

We wouldn't use anyone else but Steve for our electrics!

Steve was absolutely amazing!! We called on a Sunday morning needing help putting up a kitchen light which was on the larger side, and by lunchtime we'd been scheduled in and he and his son had arrived to install the light.

Steve is super warm and friendly and it was a pleasure having him do our electrics. The installation from very quick and painless and looks fantastic! Very reasonably priced too.

We will definitely be asking for Steve and his son to help us install all our ceiling fans!!

I really do not like writing bad reviews, I'm usually pretty forgiving but my experience with Steve from Turn electric was incredibly disappointing.

First my wife reached out to Steve and asked to get a quote for new 120v outlet. HE ASKED FOR $150 JUST TO COME TO THE HOUSE AND LOOK. My wife did not know better, but if anyone asks for that much money just to come and in look, say no thank you. There are plenty of electricians that will give you an estimate FOR FREE. I didn't question too much at this point.

When he arrived we were being very polite to him and as we started to explain what we needed he kept rudely cutting us off. Every time we started explaining he cut me off and would not listen to us.

When we asked him how much to install 1 new outlet he paused and said $2200!!! DID HE THINK WE WERE STUPID? I found another electrician that did the job for $600!!!

It's puzzling to me to see soo many positive reviews and having such a terrible experience.

[UPDATE] Apparently if you leave a negative review Steve will keep calling you asking to remove it. He has continuously harassed both my wife and I first from their number (which I blocked) and is now calling from a no ID number. He is trying to reimburse the $150 and make amends so we remove the the review.

Steve: Please leave us alone. I am one phone call away from notifying the police and getting my lawyer involved. Please stop calling us.

Just do yourself a favor and find literally any other electrician! He is by far one of the rudest people I've seen in my entire life. I hate leaving reviews like this, but I'm also shocked by seeing all the misleading good reviews (which is why I called him in the first place). I think people deserve to know what they're getting into so that they won't make the same mistake we did.

I had already replaced almost all the outlets and switches in our place. Only three of the outlets weren't working (I had attached the wrong wires), so I called Turn Electric based on all the good reviews to come and help with those three.

This guy (Steve) showed up. He was extremely rude since the moment he first talked to me over the phone. His son was also with him ( just to observe).

He would ask me a question about the outlet that he should know the answer to, and before I even open my mouth to answer him, he was like I ASKED YOU A QUESTION! WHAT DID I ASK?. My wife and I were standing there, shocked and speechless by his attitude, but we had to have the outlets fixed on the same day, so we had no choice but to tolerate the behavior.

BRING ME THE CHAIR! and before I could move, he would say I'm asking you nicely, but you're just standing there watching me. He went on to grab the chair to step on it without even asking if it was okay to do so with his dirty shoes on. shockingly rude!

He ended up telling me that he could either tell me how to fix it myself for $250 or he could do it himself for $350.

Clearly, he treats all his customers like that. During the 30 mins that he was at our place, he talked about a couple of his customers (an older Asian person) in a very racist way. One of his customers also called him when he was here and he yelled at him over the phone because apparently they were expecting him to show up and he didn't.

I went through the other reviews and saw that a few other people also mentioned the shockingly rude attitude. What is extremely curious to me is all the good reviews. I honestly can't say if those are legit, because I can't think of anyone who would be okay with being treated like that.

I called Steve on a weekend after receiving an astronomical quote from another company. Steve arrived at my house literally 10 minutes later for a free consultation and estimate. He immediately recognized the manufacturer of my very old electrical panel and understood the complex sub-panel set up that was installed before I purchased my home. He came back just a few days later to install outlets before drywall is put up, left the job in the exact condition requested by the drywall installers, and arranged to return free of charge to finish up the installation after the drywall. Steve's pricing cannot be beat, he is extremely knowledgable, and he even taught me some things about electrical work and safety issues!

Steve totally saved the day!

One of my electric breakers went out today while I was making lunch. I knew it was bad when it happened.... because my appliances didn't just like slowly turn off like it does during a power outage ... I felt like i heard something pop and everything shut off on one side of the house. Of course that side of the house had the outlet where my fridge plugged in (*insert sarcastic yay*) so I turned to YELP and found Turn Electric (thank you yelp). I called a couple different places but Steve was the only one who answered his phone on this fine Sunday morning. I really didn't want my food in the fridge to get spoiled so imagine the rollercoaster of emotions I went through when Steve said it was his birthday (me thinking he can't come today) and then said he'd totally come after he ate lunch (me thinking yay)!

So... Steve came to my home on his birthday only a couple hours after I called him. He saved the day and identified the problem quickly (broken breaker) replaced it with one he already had in the car and was really kind and polite as my little monsters ran around the home acting like toddlers do when they are getting to stay up past their nap time..,,,., which is why he saved the day.

I'm thinking I've found the electrician I will be using for as long as I live in this area and I'm thinking you should call him too for your electrician needs. What amazing customer service!

Recently, the power kept turning off in our kitchen and we always had to go flip the switch on the electrical panel. It was becoming very cumbersome and annoying, especially, in the mornings when my coffee machine wouldn't work. I found Steve through yelp. He was quick to respond and came out to the house same day whilst other electricians were giving me appointment dates a few days out. After finishing the job, he educated us on the problem and showed us using his machine that the outlets were now working. Unfortunately, the next morning we had the same issue. I called him and informed him of the problem and he was quick to come over to investigate. Turns out that the previous electricians that were used in the remodeling of my home added switches that were draining the power. He explained to me my options, fixed as I instructed and the problem has not reoccured since then.

This is an update of our 2/8/2022 review since we were so happy with the excellent job done by Steve and his wonderful son and assistant, Daniel, that we scheduled Turn Electric back for another project at our home today.

We had a noisy fluorescent light with a defective ballast replaced with an LED that casts more light and does not make noise. Once again, we received excellent service at a fair price.

While he was here today,Steve was able to resurrect another kitchen fixture that others had reported as being nonfunctional.

It is now more pleasant to work in our kitchen.

My smart WiFi switch stopped working all of a sudden. So I called Steve because my family members have had really good experiences with him in the past. He's very prompt and stopped by my house the following day to fix the issue. He was on time and ready to work. He was very detailed in explaining what went wrong with my smart switch and replaced it with another one (that I had picked up from Home Depot earlier). He wired it and the light started working again. He cleaned up nicely and was very genuine. My husband has used him a few times as well. Overall I'm very pleased with the results. Steve was an extremely informative and helpful electrician. Yesterday I installed an attic fan myself but was concerned about the wiring I did and if it was a potential fire hazard. So, I called him today, on a Sunday morning, and he came out almost immediately, went into my hot attic to check, and told me it was fine and that he did not need to do any electrical work. Steve came over to fix a ring doorbell installation that went wrong. We had pre-existing wires for an old house that was built in 1967. I tried troubleshooting it myself and figured out that there was no electricity going to the wires and that the transformer was too weak. I called multiple other electrical companies who came by and gave me eye gouging absurd quotes for a problem that I presume was related to the wiring from the transformer to the doorbell. It was something that I knew did not cost anywhere near what these electricians were asking. When I discussed the problem with Steve, however, he agreed with my assessment, came over in a timely manner, reconfirmed my findings, did the work, explained everything and was done. He easily saved me 1000 dollars if not more. The other electricians I got quotes from charged me 65 dollars to just come out and talk to me and
did nothing. They said to figure out the problem they would have to charge me an extra $500 for diagnostics. Once they figured it out the issue they would give me another quote on labor and parts to fix the problem. They couldn't even give a ballpark! Do not trust the big-name companies who have a lot of ads. Steve, however, was a life saver! He is highly intelligent, trustworthy, friendly and explained every step of the way. I will be calling him for any future electrical issues. You can easily see by his amazing reviews as to why he has so many positive five star reviews. If I could. I would give home 10 stars! Good trustworthy people are very hard to find when it comes to the home contracting business. Steve is a needle in a haystack.

My mom had half the power go out in her home which also affected the thermostat. We were in need of getting this fixed since LA gets quite hot. After reaching out to a couple electricians and getting estimates in the range of 4-5k (yes that's thousands), knocking holes in sheetrock, and 4-5 days work, we luckily came across Steve. He arrived early, checked the fuse box, went up into the attic to examine the wires, checked wall switches and outlets... and then the magic happened. He fixed some wires that became untwisted and disconnected... voila.. everything back to normal... so we thought!!! Turns out, when he tested the wall switches, they were connected to the wrong rooms; a wall switch in one bedroom would turn on another.. Steve went back to test all the wires for continuity and termination and said someone has messed with the wires; we concluded it was one of the other electricians who came to give an estimate and we didn't go with them. There's no other explanation. All in all, Steve spent several hours troubleshooting and repairing all issues and replaced switches that were 60 years old - $350 bucks. Steve kept us informed on everything he did and is coming by again next week to check the wiring on things that are working for free - just in case this happens again. What an honest guy. He's our goto guy for electrical work and will be highly recommended to our friends and neighbors.

I reached out to Turn awhile back when I was looking for quotes on installing my EV charging equipment in my garage. Steve was very courteous and professional and came to my house for a free estimate (and even returned to double-check when I was finally ready to install a month later).

He is a good electrician and fixed a seemingly simple problem right away.

However, I don't know if it's a cultural difference but his way of talking was really offending.

I wouldn't have called him if I knew how to fix the problem. From the moment that I called him until the end, he was talking like why I did not know what the problem was, asking me a lot of questions that he should be the one answering, and trying to argue with me if I said something or not.

He wanted to get paid in cash but when I said I will write him a check, the price went up by $15.

There are many electricians out there and I won't take my business here considering very poor customer service.

We had a pretty quick and easy problem at our house - we needed to put back three brand new fixtures taken down during a mirror install and replace an old outlet on the patio.

They came and told us to buy new fixtures because they are all broken (even tho those were all brand new and just needed to be screwed back on). We were very confused by this, and it made us feel very suspicious about this company.

Later that day, we called another electrician, who came out and put them all back with no problem - they're all working perfectly fine, as they should - they're brand new.

We got charged a pretty hefty amount for this job and definitely don't recommend working with them. We will be working with someone else in the future.

I recently bought my home and needed some electrical work. Specifically, I needed a new outlet to install a microwave over the range. Steve was super nice and knowledgeable and came by same day to give me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and we ended doing the work on the spot! He cleaned everything up too! Update! I needed some additional work done in one of the bedrooms. Requested a quote from several electricians to look into a few issues on the house we just moved into a week ago. Turn was among the first to respond and also offered to have an electrician come check things out for free (most wanted to charge just to see what we needed done). Saturday afternoon, I was drilling through drywall to hang some wall panels when *pop* a spark when flying and a circuit breaker tripped. Apparently the electric detector on my stud finder wasn't working properly and I was really worried about what sort of damage had been done. Steve was actually my first call because of the great ratings, but he was in the middle of a job and said he couldn't make it until the following day. I said I'd call around to see if I could find someone who could come sooner. He said Please do! But give me a call back if you can't find anyone. It's like he knew... No one else was able to come out until Monday. Called him back and he showed up as promised first thing on Sunday morning. I'm one of those (I assume) annoying guys who really likes to watch while people who are much handier than I do their work. I asked Steve if that would be okay. No problem! he said. His recommendation was install a tiger box higher on the wall, which also meant we could add an outlet on the wall. Pretty good outcome from what could have been a really bad situation. I'm grateful for Steve's work, work ethic and patience. Highly recommend for any electrical needs!

Fast response and expert service. Best of all -- this wasn't a big job (fixing the wiring on a ceiling fan) and he didn't try to turn it into one. Steve came over to look at a problem with 3 rooms losing electric and a consistently tripping breaker all of a sudden. After going through over 15 outlets to make sure they were properly wired and not touching metal, Steve was able to get most of them working but was puzzled how a remodel had been wired due to a section not working. After spending an hour in the attic tracing romex we realized the previous person had took the power from the garage then back to the home. Steve and Joe ran 2 new lines from the breaker box to help separate the garbage disposal from the garage line. Hopefully never have to worry seeing we had at one point over 12 outlet points on one line with the Microwave and garbage disposal. Very happy with the work and price.

Called the business on Saturday afternoon for a laundry outlet that had suddenly power in both the hot wire and the neutral one and we could not power the washer/ dryer. The owner Steve answered and said he'll be there. 20 minutes later he was at our door. Steve is a knowledgeable professional and discovered an issue in the control panel. After turning off the main breaker to my home to install a Ring Doorbell, my main breaker would not turn back on. (note: my electrical panel is from when the home was originally built in the 1960s.The breaker itself is one of those press-in breakers and the spring inside of it must've failed.)

I gave Steve a phone call at around eight in the morning and he was at my house by 9 AM.

Steve quickly troubleshoot the problem and advise me the main-breaker needed to be replaced.

What was unique about Steve though was he recommended that I watch him troubleshoot the problem. This was distinctive compared to other electricians. He didn't mind me hovering over his shoulders to watch him work. He welcomed it.

Anyway, Steve and I went to a local electricians shop in the neighborhood and found the correct part.

He replaced the breaker and by 10:30am my electricity was back on, preserving all the food in my refrigerator.

I will definitely be using Steve again for all my electrical needs.

This is my second project completed by Turn Electric. Steve lowered my outdoor motion sensor light so traffic or high winds won't set off the light. He installed a light switch outside for easy access and made sure that the conduit metal pipe leading from the switch to the light was hidden under the roof fascia . I'm updating our review after our most recent experience. Steve has done several jobs for us, and has done a good job. However, without letting us know when we scheduled the job, he expected a check in the spot. My husband explained I paid the bills and would pay him electronically (which was acceptable with prior payments). Steve called less than 24 hours later asking where his payment was.. if you use him be prepared he expects immediate payment.. We will be looking for another electrician willing to handle payments more typical of a business.

Really have to recommend these folk.
Spoke with Steve (owner) about a last-minute issue; he was swamped (understandable as it was 2 pm on a Saturday), but he said he'd call an electrician he works with and called me back within 10 minutes with the good news that Tony would be on his way.

Tony spent a good 2 hours at my place diagnosing the problem (to determine if it was a dimmer problem or a short with the fixture that was no longer working). After several tests and an unfortunate incident with a bulb blowing up, Tony graciously removed the entire fixture to diagnose more thoroughly at his workshop and to purchase correct parts.

Steven followed up both on Saturday and again on Monday; Tony communicated his status both later Saturday and first thing Monday.

Later on Monday, got a call from Tony saying he'd been to 3 stores, found what he needed finally at the 4th store (my fixture had rare sockets that needed replacing), and once he finished his day he'd go back to his workshop to try to repair.

Steven followed up later that day to ensure Tony had been in touch; I relayed how touched I was that both he AND Tony wished to make sure I felt communicated with about my fixture (and the giant hole in my ceiling - always a bit unsettling) - the fact they understood this was just astonishing.

About 8:30 pm, I got a text from TONY with pictures attached - SUCCESS!! - everything was now working perfectly and he would arrange a time to re-install the now-repaired fixture on Tuesday!

These guys are honest, communicative, clearly very experienced with all kinds of electrical needs, caring.

BTW - Tony came out at no charge for a free diagnosis - thus far the only cost involved / mentioned has been parts; very gracious handling especially given their combined time and energy.

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH OUTSTANDING THINGS bout how these 2 gentleman run their business. It is no wonder they have 5 STAR reviews across the board. TONY, Steven - THANK YOU.

I called them when my power outlets suddenly stopped working one morning. Distressed, I asked if they could check it out and see what was wrong. After troubleshooting they found a burnt out power outlet connection. Steve was able to quickly fix the problem and I am happy to say that all the outlets are working again. I have found my electrician handyman! I noticed when he was giving me my in home estimate, his phone was ringing and people were texting him. I thought this guy must be good because people are really trying to get a hold of him. I see why now. He IS good. Steve just left my home after doing a job quickly and cleanly. He said he would be here at 9am and he wasnt. HE WAS HERE BEFORE 9AM READY TO GO! Very impressed. He quoted me a fair price and did not try to oversell me which I appreciated. Had a great experience with Steve and his son Daniel. He came to the house early and was incredibly thorough in his examination of my entire electrical panel to ensure everything was working well. He switched out the breaker that was damaged and was able to asses the true problem I was having which was my microwave that I now know is broken and needs to be replaced. He could have easily just replaced the damage breaker and left, but he made sure to find out why the breaker broke in the first place so that I would not run into the same issue again. I don't write reviews but Steve is amazing. Very deserving of all five stars!

I have used him several times but recently to re-wire our whole kitchen during a remodel. He added new circuits, recessed lights to both that room and our living room and cleaned everything up that was there before. A big project that he did professionally by himself, in a timely manner and meet all my needs. He even came out on a holiday to fix a wire that my husband accidentally cut at no charge.

There is no one else but STEVE that I will have work on electric in my home or any of my clients' homes. Back in March I had him install a substantial amount of new electrical fixtures in our home and we were incredibly pleased with his professionalism, attention to detail, work product, and price. He talks you through all possible options so that you are aware of what he will be doing in your home and there are no surprises. He talked me out of unnecessary electrical work! Who else has that kind of honesty? I have had far more expensive electricians in in the past and wasn't nearly as happy with the work as I was with Steve.

Steve just left and I have nothing but good things to share. I had the unlucky problem of a short causing my garage and other outlets to have no electricity. Steve was flexible in matching my schedule. His pricing was hundreds less than other estimates I received and I appreciate that he is also licensed, which really should be standard for any service business.

I only had to install an extra outlet and he was fast and able to review some previous work that was done for any issues. This kind of service went beyond my expectations and also proved his license was not just a number but a real understanding for code.

He even patched up the cutouts , which is more than the previous electrician did, leaving me with cutouts.

Another 5 stars for Turn Electric. My main circuit breakers blew yesterday. I thought it was the DWP explosion and fire, but once power was back on my AC still wasn't working. I sent Turn Electric a message via Yelp this morning and they got back to me right away. Steve was super nice and very knowledgeable and replaced the breaker in about 10 minutes. His price was fair and as a single (widowed) female, I appreciate not being taken advantage of, which has been attempted in the past by less scrupulous contractors. Returned to Turn electric for another breaker issue. Steve was able to accommodate me quickly and spent plenty of time trouble shooting and diagnosing the problem. Together we alerted able to come up with a pan that both served me best and saved me money. Steve will also go out of his way for his customers by fitting jobs into Sundays and other times where it might not be convenient. He really works with you and will not leave you hanging.

Asked Steve to come by to give me a bid on installing an switched outlet under the sink for a new garbage disposal. I really like TURN Electric. Steve Radich and his son came by the house where I am living in Lake Balboa and inspected everything thoroughly In so doing he found important issues which previous electricians had missed or overlooked. On top of that Steve is an exceptionally nice person, an excellent communicator, and someone who is enthusiastic about his work. He explains what the problems are and strives to work with the home owner to achieve the results that she or he wants. He is also great at prioritizing electrical issues, by which I mean telling the home owner what needs to be done soon and what can be put off for a while.

Stay away. I got a free estimate for a receptacle that was burned out. The estimate I got was $200 which seemed a bit high. When I asked the technician to explain what he would be replacing he was offended and started to get pushy. He then asked me what I thought was a fair price and I said $150. He agreed to that price but said it had to be cash. I said that I could only pay with a credit card he got mad at me for not telling him that when I made my appointment. Then he started to lecture me and I had to ask him to leave my house.

I ended up using another company and they charged me $100.

Our fridge kept losing power but the circuit breaker wasn't being tripped. Randomly turning on and off different circuits seemed to fix the problem... sometimes. Two different electricians diagnosed it incorrectly, one even told us that it was probably drawing power from two different circuits and that's why we couldn't figure out how to fix it. Even a rudimentary knowledge of electricity would tell you this is unlikely. You can imagine the frustration of having your fridge work for two days, then go out again. After spending a month like this, I gave Steve a try. Within ten minutes he diagnosed the problem, a loose wire behind the circuit breaker panel. Hard to believe that the two people who came out before didn't check this! 10 minutes later it was fixed, and it's been a couple of months now! No more problems.

Now this is the part that gets even better. He found a potential second problem on the circuit breaker panel. He came out again to check on it, and after further investigation, he told me that no repair was necessary. He could've easily replaced the part and told me all was well, but he took the honest route and didn't do unnecessary work. Steve has earned my trust and I will be contacting him for another job at the house. Honest and extremely competent. Recommend highly!

Have called on Steve to help us in a crunch in the past. Today we lost power to a circuit that powers our fridge and wifi router. As we are work remotely due to Covid, we needed power restored immediately. Steve was able to come out within a couple hrs. After troubleshooting, he located the faulty wire in a kitchen that was cracked at outlet after another contractor replaced outlet. No replacement needed. Steve is fair and honest.

Needed help troubleshooting a pool light that wasn't working. It was a Sunday, and most electricians were unavailable same day, but Steve said he could come by after another job in the area. He and his son showed up and and methodically ran through checking the breaker, switch, GFI, and junction box. He helped me replace the bulb in the pool light, which had burned out, and reset the GFI.

Later, after he'd left, the GFI tripped again. I called him back and he coached me over the phone on various things to try in order to test where the problem might be coming from. He even called me back afterward to make sure it was working properly and to give me another suggestion he had been thinking about offline.

In the end I was able to use some electrical tape and replace an adjacent switch that was interfering with and tripping the GFI, and Steve's coaching in person and over the phone made all the difference. He was thoughtful, clear in his explanations, honest and fair in his pricing.

Steve will be the first one I call next time I need electrical work. Absolutely a gem in the valley.

We have 5 recessed lights in our living room and usually we replace the light bulbs by ourselves with no problem....but this one...5th light which we had never replaced was a little bit different. It started bothering us with buzzing noise and also started turning off by itself. We tried to pull the fixture to replace the bulb, but the strips which hold the fixture are different type compare to the other 4, and something is stuck inside...

It was Sunday afternoon, we looked for someone hoping for next day appointment and left several messages with different companies. Steve called us back right away and he showed up after a few minutes although he was on his way to lunch with his family. After borrowing a screw driver from us, it took only a few minutes for him to figure out what the problem is. Since we were really irritated by this fixture being different from others, Steve saved our Sunday afternoon.

Just giving you all a heads up that this guy doesn't know what the hell he is doing. Look at the reviews. He has all of his family and friends create fake facebook posts to say how great he is. Check out how many people follow those people. They are all fake!!! He parked in my driveway and need to put a rock from my yard behind his back tire so it would not roll down my driveway. He wanted to put a white outlet with a white cover in my kitchen when all of my covers were black. I talked to the guys in home depot and they said they knew this guy from my description and I hired him because of all of these good reviews but PLEASE PLEASE do your research. We had an issue with our outlet box near our pool motor that two electricians couldn't seem to fix. I decided to give Turn Electric a try, and was more than happy with the work that Steve did for us. Not only did he fix the problem, he also gave us some great advice on how to best deal with our pool light which isn't functioning. Yesterday I lost power in almost the entire house and was desperately looking for a recommended electrician, knowing how hard it is to find one.

Initially, I was very surprised that he had 5 stars and everybody was very happy with him, but , like I told him today when he fixed my electrical issue, now I understand why.

I have been hesitant for so many years to fix up one of my circuit breakers because the system was so old and I was terrified after a Different electrician had messed up all of the wiring to it which caused it to completely give out. Steve is nothing short of a miracle. He is AAAAMMMMAAAZZZZIINNNGGGG!!!! Our garage and bathroom has been without power for almost 2 weeks. After 2 electricians who couldn't find out what the problem was Steve was able to!

The 200+, 5-star reviews don't lie. Steve is great. I reached out via Yelp and received a prompt reply. After a quick phone call, he was able to fit us in, the same day, to assess the problem (a fuse change on our circuit breaker was needed). He and his son arrived right on time and got straight to work. He did some additional testing to make sure it was just a fuse, explaining what he was doing or looking for at each step. Luckily he had the part on hand and we got it fixed right then and there for a fair price. :) We were happy that he was thorough with his work, and even better, he was super friendly and happy to answer all of our questions. I had a stubborn outlet that we replaced in our house. I plugged something in and it seemed to blow out the wall the plug was on. I am pretty handy but under the weather so I thought I would call someone instead just to confirm that the plug was installed properly since it's a new type with usb. Steve came right over!

The power wire somehow got spliced (probably because it's an older house with a small box to squeeze in such a large wire) Steve explained everything, I knew what had to be done already the second I saw it. He fixed it up and we went on with our day.

Pricing was more than I expected for the work. I recently had a appliance repair man over to fix our stove and washing machine which cost about the same that this outlet cost. However, that's what I get for not doing it myself. Thank you Steve for your promptness, explaination and willingness to come quick.

Let me start the story by saying it was Sunday Night on Memorial Day weekend when the main breaker on the panel went out leaving my elderly mothers house in the dark. Steve was awesome. He was willing to come out the next day to help fix an issue at my parents house where many outlets and switches were not working. He took a quick look around, and he gave a fair estimate upfront, assuring me we'd pay nothing if he couldn't fix it. so I had the pleasure of meeting Steve today.... after speaking with him on the phone , he was at my house in about 15 minutes. He was very informative and forthright about installing a 240 volt for our new electric vehicle we had just purchased. Steve was outstanding. I called him because he had 5 star reviews everywhere and he did not disappoint. I called him and within 2 hours he showed up to my house and communicated what the problem was. It was a very minor electrical issue with a fixture in my laundry room.

The guy was completely honest and told me I would be cheaper going to Lowe's to get a $20 fixture as opposed to him replacing it himself. You don't find too many guys like that.

It's get better, I was on crutches, with a ruptured Achilles and he told me once I got the fixture he would come back to my house and replace for free. He was true to his word. I would highly recommend Steve as his was very honest, trustworthy and fair. Call him!

Since Turn Electric was first on the list and had great reviews, I called. Because there was no answer, I was prompted to leave my name and phone number and expected a return call. I waited and waited. The 10 minutes promise to respond passed. Twenty-four hours later, I decided to call another electrician who was also rated 5-star on Yelp. That person contacted me within 30 minutes and arrived 15 minutes after that. I'm glad that I did!
I am still waiting for a call from Turn Electric.

To my surprise and amazement, I received a call from Steve of Turn Electric. He profusely apologized for the error of not responding as promised. I thanked him for calling as it was totally unexpected. This is the sign of someone who cares about his customers. My review is based off of an interaction I had over the phone with an older gentleman at Turn Electric, based off the reviews one would assume there is exceptional customer service, but I guess I assumed wrong. I contacted them to see if I could get someone to come look at some wiring, outlets not working, possibly see what's going on with my house due to various problems with this older house, and the man kept being rude cutting me off, not letting me talk, saying I need to contact the DWP if I want to lower my electric bill. We've been having electrical problems since we moved in and if he would've let me speak I would've addressed some of the problems. I was told that if he went out there I would be wasting his time. I assume he thought all I wanted was to save a couple bucks off my electric bill?

Steve was very prompt in answering the phone and arranging a time at my earliest convenience to tackle my problem with electrical outlets that weren't working. He took the time to explain how things worked and even gave advice on how to avoid overloading circuits that weren't rated for high loads so I appreciated that he took the time out to educate me.

We recently bought a house and were having trouble with the A/C since we moved in. This morning (July 4th) as I was in the backyard I could hear the electrical panel buzzing. As I got closer it made a loud pop and smoke came out of the box. A bad way to start the holiday!

I called Steve and even though it was a holiday he came over in about 15 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the issue and immediately started correcting it. Overall the job took about 2 hours.

Steve was very good at explaining what he was going to do to fix the issue and he walked me through the steps he was going through to fix it.

As I was writing the check Steve noticed that there was a GFCI outlet in a box in the kitchen and offered to install it for us.

Overall Steve is friendly, quick, and very knowledgeable. Considering it was July 4th, the bill was very reasonable. We have found our local electrician for any issues in the future!

I needed an electrician to check my Mom's Dimmer for her chandelier, as it intermittently was not turning on or flickering on and off. I called Turn Electric and spoke to Steve, and he was able to come out within a couple of hours, very impressive.

Of course the problem could not be reproduced (it sometimes would work one day, and not the next), so Steve advised that since it was working there was nothing to do. I asked him to change the Dimmer anyway as it was old, and he had the dimmer with him, and so far so good.

Steve is a very busy man but was able to find time to come see me days before his next available appointment - he showed up the as soon as another job was done early in my area.

I initially had him in for an emergency consult for a water-heater replacement (it's an electric water heater and has cables going through the walls to the panel) and to get a quote on some other repairs. He walked me through it, told me some of the stuff I had thought was bunk, and I ended up hiring him to do some of the other work on the spot for a very fair price.

Had an issue with 220 V which powers our house A/C. Called Steve based on a lot of positive reviews and he did not disappoint. I had a ceiling fan I took down in my daughter's room. I replaced it with a chandelier she picked out. I flipped the switch and the fuse blew. Tried re-wiring it and still the same thing. After a recent home inspection we found an inoperable electrical outlet and an issue due to faulty wiring of our electrical service which was causing a circuit breaker to trip, which was actually dangerous and missed by our first home inspection. Based on Yelp reviews I went with Turn Electric and I am happy I did. From the beginning, Steve was responsive over the phone and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I was converting my garage into an ADU. The inspector needed me to upgrade my main house panel. I called around and went with someone who could start the job the soonest. Big mistake! They messed everything up with my permitting. I started searching on yelp and found Turn Electric. I sent a message via yelp and received a very quick reply. I explained my situation and was very quickly told that they could help and provided a phone number. I called in the morning and spoke to Steve who was excellent over the phone. He listened to my situation and completely understood what needed to be done. He came over the next day and I could tell right away that this was a man with many many years of hands on experience. He fully inspected the work and also recommended a few corrections. The next morning Steve met me at the building and safety office and within 30min everything was taken care of. I'm extremely grateful I met this amazing individual. I will from now on only call Steve for all my Electrical work. Do yourself a favor and go with this gentleman, you will not regret it.

Steve came to our rescue when a power outlet blew up in our kitchen. Having LADWP and our solar installers at our house just the day prior, he was the only one that gave us an honest and thorough inspection. Steve was able to pinpoint the main issue, and while he could have just as easily done the work, he referred us back to the original installers to have them fix what triggered it. While we hope we won't need his services any time soon, I'm glad we found a dependable and reasonable electrician.

I had an old Kitchen Ceiling Fixture go bad. Bought a new one over Holidays, tried to replace it and it didn't work either. I knew I needed a professional Electrician at this point. Today I was in a desperate situation with one of my breakers not working.

What can I say about Steve? He was there for my family and I when our main circuit breaker burnt out and we lost power in half of our house. He called me the same day as my inquiry and was able to assess the problem a couple of days later when I was free. I have no electrical knowledge whatsoever and Steve was great at showing me the problem and explaining things as we went along. He pays attention to detail as well and tries to provide options to save the customer money which I always appreciate. I had to call Steve back today because the darn porch light keeps blowing out lightbulbs. They don't even stay lit for five hours! Steve came back and checked all of my circuitry and checked the porch light and it's quite the mystery. Sometimes you wonder if all of the 5-star reviews are real when you look up an electrician on Yelp. After having Steve fix a problem at my house today, I absolutely believe every 5-star review he has on here.

Steve listened to my description of the problem over the phone today, offered advice, and asked if I wanted him to come over today. Even with the dead-on correct diagnoses he provided me over the phone, I still felt if would be best to have him come over and do the job instead of me since he would also look at my electrical panel, breakers, and answer any other questions I had. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

I was impressed at how honest Steve was, how he didn't try to up-sale me in any way, and how he made it a priority of his to come over and the do the job the same day I called him (which was on a Sunday, too!).

It's nice to know that I now have a trustworthy electrician I can call if ever needed.

I had just built a She shed in my backyard and needed electricity run to it. I checked yelp and found Turn electric with all five star reviews. I called and talked to Steve who referred me to one of his colleagues Tony. Tony came out to my house that evening gave me an estimate and we scheduled the work to be done in the next couple days. I called Steve to get a second opinion about a circuit breaker box that my present electrician
wanted to replace for thousands of dollars after he came and fixed a light in my garage.
Steve showed up at my house fifteen minutes after I first spoke to him on the phone, and
explained how there is nothing wrong with my circuit box except it is old and could use replacement if I wanted to spend the money...but was not necessary. He then found a problem in my bathroom which makes sense to me that is a hazard, and offered to fix it

I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would give this company a negative review. Steve was FAST to get back to me and is enthusiastic about his work. After I contacted him, he wasted no time and came right out. He gave me a reasonable estimate, offered suggestions, and explained in detail what he was going to do. I noticed in one of the other reviews that someone referred to Steve as an idiot and I couldn't disagree more. It's worth mentioning an idiot wouldn't last very long in a field that can kill you dead if you don't know what you're doing. Messing around with high voltage will do that to you if you're incompetent. Steve definitely knows his job and will be my first call when I renovate my house next year.

Steve was great through the entire process. We needed to have wiring near our stove converted from 220v to 110v and were in a hurry since our stove was being delivered. Steve came highly recommended from our real estate agent, so we called him for an estimate. Within an hour of calling him, Steve was at our house doing the work. I called Steve to ask about moving an electrical box for a new dishwasher. He was at my house within the hour and let me know exactly what needed to be done before he could start work, and gave me an estimate. I called Steve Radich, the sole owner of Turn Electric. He was able to come out to my elderly mothers house immediately. I asked him to install a new combination heater, light and exhaust fan system in a bathroom. Steve had the knowledge to get the job done with speed and efficiency along with a fair price. He even came back to do some more work the very next day, free of charge, to upgrade some old bathroom wall switches. Steve is a great guy and I trust him explicitly. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable with over 40 years of experience. He made sure to explain everything he was doing and was able to quickly replace the old bathroom fan and dated switches.
You can do no better in the San Fernando Valley than Steve. We will definitely be contacting Steve again for all of our electrical needs. Great to have a friendly local electrician we know we can trust. I highly recommend this company for your electrical problems for a reasonable and negotiable price...

I don't know how legitimate these reviews are. You can reread my review this electrician merely turned the breaker back on per the 2nd electrician that I had to my house and inspected the box. Sure, I said do it I thought it was going to be a big job. No job was performed. A few minutes $400 and he was gone. The electricians son was with him, but he said nothing was very uneasy, i thought he might be autistic. but I realize now he most likely must have known what was going to happen. Again maybe if you know something about electrical or if you are a man they may be leery about pulling something. I didn't have to write this review, I feel i am doing a public service. Find a relative or a friend that is an electrician. I am done with yelp as a source

I called Steve and he promply came out the same day and gave me a price to remove an existing light fixture and install 4 LEDs. I hired Steve based on his previous 60+ YELP reviews and the fact that he had a license and his price seemed reasonable. Should be a low risk job and easy project for a licensed electrical contractor to install 4 LEDs and dimmer switch right? Not so fast my friend.

Unfortunately, Steve did not seem prepared with the right tools and did not have any workers with him to help him (he relied on my wife to help out). Right away the problems started where he had difficulty cutting through the plaster ceiling because there was chicken wire. Rather than get the right saw he hacked through it and damaged quite a bit of plaster. His patchwork was less than stellar and will require rework.

He also had a hard time installing the dimmer switch because he said there was a beam in the way. Unfortunately for me I was at work because he convinced my wife to let him cut another hole in the wall 6 inches adjacent to the existing switch rather than putting in a double switch box like we agreed. After I found out I spoke to Steve on the phone and advised him the deal was to have one double switch that controlled both the dining room light and the LEDs on a dimmer. Steve became very upset and basically said well your wife told me to do it that way and handed the phone back to my wife. I let him calm down and called him back a few minutes later and explained that the deal was to have both switches in the same box. Figure it out. This surely can't be the first time he has run into this situation. He said that he could do it but since he already cut another hole and installed the switch it would cost me more to do it the way we originally agreed. Complete BS. Steve seemed to let minor problems get him very frustrated and I didn't want to agitate him further and didn't want to deal with hiring another electrician so agreed to give him another $150 for HIS mistake. Unbelievable.

I came home several hours later to a box that was installed as we originally agreed but there was a cut wire sticking out that may have been hot and he used a box that didn't fit properly (again, not the right materials) and it was not secured properly in the wall. I was pretty concerned at this point that it was not safe and considered calling another electrician out but at this point I was pissed and was going to hold him to the work he promised and I paid for so I called Steve back the next day and sent him a picture. He called me back and after he realized who I was and said I was just about to call you to arrange to install the correct box because he didn't have the right one when he first came out Steve came back 2 days later as agreed and installed the box properly by removing the extra exposed wire and tightening everything down.

Before Steve began work, I took the time to cover all of my furniture in plastic and even left a big roll of plastic there for him to use to cover the entryway into our family room. Steve refused to use the plastic because he said there wouldn't be much dust Guess what, there was a lot of dust and it got all over my 7 mos. old's toys, day crib and furniture. I spent 3 hours cleaning everything.

What is so perplexing with this whole ordeal is all of the great yelp reviews which makes you question how legitimate they are. It almost seems like I hired a completly different person. He had a very dry sense of humor. Was not a good listener as he cut me off every time I tried to speak, his work was shotty, he didn't have the right tools/materials and even interrupted my wife on several occassions to help him align things, hold things and get direction. I really hate writing bad reviews for people because I know they are just trying to make a living but since I relied on YELP to hire this contractor I feel obligated to be honest with my experience so that others don't make the same mistake I did. Perhaps I caught Steve on a bad day? Regardless I would not hire him again.

I have had a problematic dimmer switch for a long time that I finally decided i needed to get fixed. After looking at a number of local electrician reviews on yelp, I decided to contact Turn Electric. In less than ten minutes, I got a callback. Steve promised me he will be there within an hour, and less than one hour later, the door bell rang. After a quick diagnosis of the problem, he replaced the offending switch and everything was as good as new. Very happy with the work, totally recommend Steve for your electric work at home!

I called Turn Electric number to fix our broken Smoke detector which was beeping intermittently. It is located at a tricky position on a slanting high ceiling over the staircase. Steve was very clear and told me upfront that he may not be able to reach to it, in which case he said he will not charge me any money just for coming out! That was very nice of him to make it clear. He also suggested that it might be worthwhile to replace the whole smoke detector rather than just changing the battery.

He came out the next day along with his and son and was able to replace the unit (I had purchased a new one from Home Depot). And it certainly was not easy. Positioning the ladder on the staircase was extremely difficult!

Steve is warm, easy going and friendly and it was a pleasure having him do our repairs. We will definitely call Steve for any electrical repairs and/or installations in future.

Finally found an electrician we can trust! I called Steve yesterday to come and check our electric panel because some areas of our house lost electricity. He came on the day that he said he was coming, and he was on time too! Talk about being professional and not wasting anybody's time right? This review is long overdue! STEVE is an excellent electrician,very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough with his work. We just bought our first house and realized our house was in great need of ceiling fans! He walked us through buying the right fans and came the next available day. Last night the electricity went out in half of our house. I called Steve and he made an appointment to come by early this morning. This review is long overdue. After going through all the positive reviews on yelp, we decided to call on Steve last year to fix the electricity in one of our bathrooms. He troubleshot for a few minutes and fixed the problem within half an hour. Fast forward to today when our 3 year old air conditioner started to give out. Yes, its a brand new unit. We called an ac repair company and they said the problem was with the circuit breaker and not the ac. We called around different electricians, many of whom didn't even pick up the phone. Then we remembered Steve from last year and decided to call him. He answered the phone right away and made an appointment for tomorrow. Then he called later in the day to see if he could come today, because he had a cancellation. Sweet! My husband explained the problem and he confirmed our circuit breaker needed to be replaced. Half an hour later, our ac is back up and running again thanks to him. He was honest in telling us and explaining to us what we need and don't need for our very old electrical panel. We'll be calling on him again in the future.

Our electricity in our house wasn't working because of our main breaker. So we called Steve to come by and he came by the next morning to fix it for us. He replaced it with a used main breaker that was still in good condition. I thought that was really nice of him instead of charging us for a new one which is $500. Late review- Last month our electric gate malfunctioned. We called an electrician- they sent us a technician, he was unable to fix the gate, clue less... he tried to sell us a new motor for $ 2800. My husband called another company, with the same result. The 3rd call, Turn electric, Steve, the man did not give up and he was able to fix the motor. Now our gate is working, and did not try to sell us a new motor. After Steve left, we were like family, i knew his wife, kids and his country of origin. human-kindness and integrity still exist. Our story is virtually the same as others I've read here. I called with a couple minor electrical issues, and Steve referred me to Tony. Tony answered his phone and was just finishing a job. I asked if you could take care of my little job the next day maybe? He said he could be over in an hour! He was on time, repaired what was a little more complex than my supposition and did it explaining everything he was doing and even how the issue happened initially. My air conditioner has been semi-functional for 2.5 months and have had numerous electricians and a/c repairmen come to look at it. I always had to survive a coupe of days of 100 degree heat with no a/c before the next repairman showed up. They all managed to fix it for a couple of days, but it didn't last. Luckily I finally called Steve and he was at my home within an hour of my phone call. Within half an hour of his arrival, he found the issue, explained it thoroughly to me and had it fixed! Steve is amazing!! We had our breaker box go out during the recent power outage so we had DWP come out and they said they couldn't find the problem. We called Steve and he came right over and fixed the problem. DWP stopped by again after they saw the work truck, Steve showed them where they missed the issue. I needed two (2) smoke detectors installed and one (1) combo smoke/carbon monoxide detector installed. I contacted the business in the evening and Steve was able to come the next day in between jobs. I thought Steve would never be able to fix all my problems in the first visit, so I expected it would just be an estimate for the repairs. My landscape lights stopped working as well as my sprinkler system after the torrential rains we had in the valley a week or so ago. There had been an electrical short (on a prior occasion) in the part of the house where the sprinkler system box was located. Also, two different outdoor outlets hadn't worked for a long time. Well Steve just started working, asking questions, and he fixed all the problems plus some. Honest. yes. He could have sold me a new outdoor gfi, but it wasn't necessary. KNOW YOUR LIMITS. I got myself into an electrical rats nest with my 1947 wiring, when I decided I'd better call a pro. Steve was in the neighborhood and he and his son swung by. My husband and I were going crazy from a loud chirping coming from one of our smoke alarms. We could not find which device was sounding and the irritating chirping went on for three days and nights. I found Steve the electrician on Yelp and he came over for no charge and looked and tried all the smoke alarms. But he couldn't find which one it was.
So as he was getting ready to give up, he saw the offending device sitting in a corner of the counter!

Steer clear of this guy. He has you leave a positive review for him before he even leaves the house, partially dictating what you should say. He has you read it back to him before he'll leave. He overcharged us on several small electrical repairs, one of which stopped working almost right away. Instead of calling him to come back and fix it (again), we're just living with it.

I had an urgent electrical need on a Saturday and called Steve, he answered immediately and let me know right away that I was outside of his service area. You would think that would be the end of the story, but Steve still asked what I needed so that he could refer me to someone. I told him what I thought I needed, he explained what I actually needed and gave me the name and number of a guy he knows and trusts. Ok, so that's the end of the story, right? Nope - 40 minutes later Steve calls back to see if I got ahold of the other electrician and he is taking the job. I told him I had left a message but not heard back. Steve says he is going to a funeral this morning, but will be home by 4 pm and since it is Saturday, traffic on the 405 should be light. If I haven't got anyone set up by that time, give him a call and he will try to come down and take care of it. What a great guy - seriously, it was a small job and not worth his time or effort but it was so nice of him to offer. I called six electricians that day and Steve was the only one I ever spoke to. Kinda makes me wish I lived farther north just so I could have him as my regular electrician. Thanks Steve, you are a credit to your profession.

I called Turn Electric because I like to support local businesses. Even though it was just a small job (trying to get power to some wires in an electrical box in the ceiling, so we could install a ceiling fan), it involved a lot of investigation and crawling around in the attic.

He went in the attic before giving us an estimate and the cost was reasonable.

Steve did a fantastic job for us. Not only did he connect the wires to a power source, he saw a wiring problem in our attic fan that could have created a fire hazard, so he fixed it at no extra charge.

Another thing about Steve is his willingness to come on the weekend or at odd hours without charging an arm and a leg. He tries to help people who are in a bind because something goes wrong at the worst time.

Having read other reviews, I'm not the only one who says that Turn Electric is a real life saver. Thanks, Steve!

Service by Steve from Turn Electric was beyond exceptional. Upon calling and giving him a brief summary of what needed to be done with my electrical needs, he explained what he thought needed to be done and gave an estimate over the phone. He made sure I was comfortable with the estimate before coming over to see the issue which I appreciated since I didn't want to waste his time and vice versa. Before arriving on the same day we spoke, he called to let me know when he was on his way since I was coming from work. He arrived earlier than confirmed and waited patiently in the scorching heat. The problem turned out to be bigger than what I thought and Steve provided a solution that was very genuine and honest with a reasonable price. He did not pressure me to do this and that as most companies would do. He gave advice that I'll eventually need to re-wire my house but can happen in the long run. The 20+ experience Steve has really showed through his explanation of the problem and seeing how he worked. Plus an added bonus, I got to know Steve personally as well. Great guy, awesome personality, very funny and just a cool guy! I would definitely recommend Turn Electric and Steve! I look forward to contacting him in the near future.

I really appreciate that he gave me a fair and honest quote, ALWAYS showed up on time and was extremely punctual, went over and beyond to make sure the light fixtures were installed perfectly, and he explained what he was doing every step of the way to help me understand the process. Steve is one class act.I was looking for electricians on yelp because I had an issue with part of the house not having electricity one summer. I contacted him and he was immediately available. Steve was at my house within 30 minutes. Steve problem solved the issue found the problem, however due to poor wiring from previous electrician, Steve did what he could. Steve recommended a future fix and other ways to get around the issue, and get this, he was not pushy about it, he only mentioned it once, he was not trying very hard to get another sale, which was great because you do not feel pressured by the whole experience. Highly recommended.

This is an update to my last post. We had some more electrical problems and some items we wanted to take care of. Some sockets without power, some sockets needing to be replaced. One socket with scorching etc. (Old old house). Steve came out early in the morning at the time we set. He found our first problem (sockets not working) and fixed it with a few minutes of searching.
Next he fixed a burned out socket for us and replaced parts. Then we had him change out some old sockets for GFI ones. It's easy to get carried away as he is so fast and works clean.

Steve arrived on time (early, in fact) and was both knowledgeable and friendly. We had a couple of small things to assess and then correct, and he clearly explained what was wrong and how he proposed fixing. He also advised us on a few other things he saw but never pressured us. He completed one of the small jobs on Friday and said he'd be back first thing Monday with the parts for the other small jobs. I recently purchased an electric car and wanted a quick turn around on an electrician to come and install a new outlet with a dedicated circuit. I called or messaged several electricians on yelp, but only three responded promptly. One asked for over one hundred dollars to even come to my house before giving me a quote. One said he could not come check out my house for over a week. Steve said he would come to my house the next morning and give me a free estimate.

Once Steve arrived the next day he gave me a relatively reasonable offer and was able to complete the project the very same day. The work was completed promptly and the workmanship was very well done. I would definitely recommend checking Steve / Turn Electric out the next time you need an electrician.

We were having an issue with our outdoor lights. I found Steve on Yelp and decided to give him a try. He answered right away. He asked me a few questions and said he'd see me at 10 am the next day. 5 star for his unique character and hard work. On labor day I noticed one of my receptacles smoking. Immediately I turned off the breaker pulled out the receptacle and it was burnt up and the hot wire had snapped off from the receptacle. I called several companies and all were out of town . Turn electric was the only one available. Steve showed up within 2 hours to fix the outlet he also noticed that the breaker was a 30amp and the wiring coming from the breaker was 12 gauge wiring which is to much so he installed a 20 amp breaker to accommodate the wiring. Long story short he is overall a great guy. He also came on labor day and straight out of the emergency room due to a work accident. That's what you call hard working man.

Steve was great and a life saver! When first speaking with him he was informative and up front on how he operates. He was due to come this Wednesday but due to a change in scheduling he reached out to me and advised he would be available today instead at my earliest convenience. I was at work but advised him my wife would be available to let him in to the premises. Steve responded to my request for help within minutes. He spent almost 30 minutes on the phone with me just to fully understand the scope of my requests (there were quite a few). He then came out the next day (on time!) and spent 4 hours with me diagnosing a string of outlets that were not working and didnt have a tripped breaker. At the end of the day he fixed the issue, gave me great quotes on additional services, and actually advised against an idea I had that would have costed (and wasted) me close to $5K. Extremely helpful and full of advise! Will be using again for additional services.

I highly recommend Steve as he is very knowledgeable, has years of experience, friendly, and a true craftsmen. I hired Steve to fix an outlet in our bathroom that suddenly lost power. He promptly responded to my request for a quote, and upon arrival at my home he quickly identified and fixed the problem. Steve also noticed a ceiling fan was not working while fixing a broken closet light, and he fixed that too for no extra charge. Steve is very trustworthy, and his prices are fair. Because of his great work, we also hired Steve to install an electric outdoor timer for some patio lights and post lights on a newly installed gate. Again, Steve completed the work in no time at all and also changed out two broken switches, for which he didn't charge. Going forward I will be hiring Steve for all my electrical needs.

I had him install four dimmers, one of which I attempted to do myself, causing some other lights in the house to stop functioning. This review like my previous reviews is based on own experience with Turn Electric. Saturday morning we found out that our toaster is not working so i said, it's fine we'll buy a new one. Then moments later my Mom called me from our pool house and said that her tv is not working, so okay we'll get a new tv, but then she said her window ac also does not working. Hmm this is too much so i check the outlets and voila! No power at all. I was busy running errands so i didn't have time to call an electrician and i know it wasn't gonna be cheap so i procrastinated at least for one day and that was long enough. Then i turned to yelp and found Turn Electric with 5 Star Rating, i called not knowing if i'm going to get a call back because it's labor day, but he said he'll be there with no extra charge. In less than 30 minutes Steve was there already trying to figure out the problem. We did some tests here and there. I was by his side and learning and observing how to solve simple electrical problems. Long story short he was very knowledgable and trustworthy, i would not hesitate hiring him again. Turn Electric's team installed recessed Led lights in our living room. Mr. Steve Radich was prompt to reply and punctual at each step of the process of installation. He gave us options in lights, and he brought samples of these options. He did not pressure us into any particular product, and the contract was clearly written out/ not changed mid-project. He also quoted the same price verbally and on paper (my past experience with other electricians has shown that what they quote verbally does not always correspond to what comes on paper, and then the whole project changes/ is delayed). Steve at Turn Electric is the nicest man you will ever meet! Anyone looking for a good, reliable, and affordable electrician, he's your man! We had a main breaker issue and called him first thing on Sunday morning. He was out to our house in 10 minutes. I called several places to remove a Venetian glass chandelier and replace it with another one. Everyone else either wouldn't take on the job or were charging an exorbitant amount. I had a great experience with Turn Electric and I don't think I've ever been the first yelp review so here goes. I had a few things that needed to be installed; some big some small but Steve was able to get everything done for me on a Sunday, which was the only day I was not busy. I had heard of him from a family member and Steve honored the first time customer 10% off my aunt told me about. He installed two new ceiling fans and 6 new recessed lights. Steve told me since I was installing more than 4 recessed lights that I would get an additional $10 off each light installed. I also had him look at a socket that kept shorting out. He took care of the job quickly and was cleaned up afterwards since he needed to cut holes in the ceiling for the new recessed lights. I definitely recommend TE to anyone looking to get anything electrical fixed or added to their place.

I was referred to Steve by another person at my office. I am a realtor and at times need to get a specialist to further investigate items on the home inspection report. Steve is readily available and addresses what needs to be fixed and what could wait. He is well equipped with tools and spare parts that he could use right away and fix the problem on site. I had a simple job to do. Take down the current lighting fixture in a bedroom and replace it with a new one. Also change the current wall switch to one with a dimmer. The job had to be done either after 5:00pm or on the weekend. I called around and electricians did not return the call, wanted very high fees or if more reasonable were not available for several days or longer.

When I called, Steve answered the phone and could come after 5:00 that day. His fee was reasonable, he works very fast and completed the job in a relatively short time. He is a very nice man.

Steve is very good. He showed up at the designated time and proceeded to work at installing an outlet in the powder room. The next day he also updated 11 ceiling lights to LEDs and did other small tasks. I was very happy.

Steve is Honest and does great work. I would recommend him highly! He could have charged me hundreds of dollars but he didn't, he explained to me that my problem was very minor and quickly fix the issue. You need to call Steve!

Steve is fantastic! He is very personable, professional, and easy to talk to. He was able to investigate why my plug in the kitchen wasn't working and was able to fix it very reasonably. He was thorough and quick. He gave us some ideas for future repairs that should be done, but specified that nothing else needed to be done right now. I really appreciated that as we have spent a fortune getting into this house. I will definitely be calling him again for any electrical needs! Highly recommend you call him!

Steve replaced 7 switches, a wall socket, and a security light timer for us. He was courteous, fast, and very reasonable. He even called after the work was completed to ensure that the timer was working well and that we were pleased with the work. Would definitely call him again in a heartbeat.

An outdoor light above the garage was not working correctly. I called Steve at Turn Electric last night based on the other reviews here on Yelp. Steve was able to come before another appointment in order to accommodate my schedule. He showed up on time, thoroughly tested the troubled spot and within minutes diagnosed the problem, repaired a wire that was not connected correctly and fixed the issue. No over sell with Steve, just inspect and resolve the issue. Will have him back in the future and would recommend him to others.

An honest man! I had a problem with my dishwasher giving me a shock which you think would be an electrical problem. Steve came over and check all the wiring and panels in my home. Everything was grounded perfectly. The issue was within the dishwasher itself which either calls for a service technician or plumber. I sincerely appreciated Steve's honestly. He could have charged me any amount of money as this obviously is not my area of expertise. I wish I could comment on his work but I can't since I did not need to have anything done. I can tell you that if I ever need any electrical work, Steve is the man I will call. His integrity speaks volumes!

Steve is very knowledgable and quickly crafted a nice solution for our electric problem. He is pretty keen on finding the problems and fixing them. Trustworthy and is not behind your pocket. Steve is a life savor! Fast, reliable and hardworking. I had 4 outlets that needed replacing and he managed to find the solution to the problem. He needed to trouble shoot the system! I called Steve again to do more work. He agreed to meet at a certain time today. Crazy thing - he was EARLY! Never had someone that responsible and helpful and actually want to work. Steve is great! I would highly recommend him! I had a issue with my breakers getting overloaded and tripping when my A/C and dishwasher were on at the same time. Instead of recommending a really expensive rewire of the circuit, he was able to find a more economical solution: my breakers were undersized for the circuit. A quick swap-out with slightly larger breakers, and everything works great now! Oh, and did I mention he was available the same day I called? Great service! Thanks, Steve!

After work crews kept kicking our kitchen breaker off and sparks started to fly out of our outlets we were sure we were going to have a huge problem on our hands that might mean destroying our new kitchen walls. I saw Steve's great yelp ratings so I decided to give him a call. He quickly returned my call and was over within an an hour . He explained what was causing the sparks and kicking the breaker and fixed the problem, he explained why that was happening and what we could have done if we chose to alleviate the problem. He gave us the chance to think over our options and weigh the cost, and was never pushy or trying to upswell us. We will definitely be calling him for our future electrical issues .

Steve won't have the cheapest prices in town, but for a fair price, he will give you honest and expert service. With 43 years of experience, he definitely knows his stuff, and won't rip you off with unnecessary work. We just bought this house and it needed several standard outlets swapped out for GFCI ones in the kitchen and outdoor areas. Emailed Chris, who was out of town, but he directed me to Steve, his partner. We spoke in the morning and he called me about 12:30, just like he said he would, and turned up at the house, just like he said he would, at 1:20. This shouldn't be a major feat for any serviceman, but previous experience (waiting for phone calls that never came; waiting for electricians who never came..) had made me dubious about getting any sort of qualified person to my home in Woodland Hills. Steve was at my garage for 2 hours. Mickey Mouse, is the way he described the Romex and extension cable snake pit in my garage attic. I had serious shorts and flashing and burning. The previous electrician didn't know where to start, so he just left. Steve, on the other hand, walked me through the troubleshooting of my garage electrical programs, talking and working all the time, telling me what his next move would tell him about the condition of the electrical line. By the end, Steve had alleviated the shorts in the line, reinstalled a wall switch that was key to the garage lighting but had stopped working. He showed me how the line was unbalanced, thus tripping the breaker (which I thought was broken). Steve rebalanced the system, cleaning up all connections, explaining all the time just what he was doing and why. He's an Old School guy from Europe trying to help his customers, not some slick big bucks sort of service corporation. He quoted a very reasonable rate when all was done, and I left him a sizeable tip, I was so impressed with his knowledge, and the way he approached troubleshooting a very confusing wiring situation that, I have to admit, was made worse by my DIY electronics. I took his card. It is on my bulletin board. It will be there for as long as I'm in this house. My wife came home and was THRILLED! Use TURN ELECTRIC and Steve again? BET ON IT!

I had two different electricians come out for a motion sensor which hadn't been working since the power outage during the heat wave last week. None of them even touched it to see what the problem might be. They both estimated the cost to be in the hundreds. Steve showed up, looked at it, throw the switch which was stuck and voila the sensor started working again. Steve is friendly, efficient, honest, and prompt. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Troubleshot my issue with the light fixture in our kitchen that has been giving us issues the past few months and installed our new LED light fixture for a very reasonable price. He came over to the house in less than an hour and fixed the issue within another hour. Overall very knowledgeable and friendly electrician who gets the job done. Steve was incredible doing all the electricity and wiring for our new home. He arrived on time, was very respectful, and began the job right away. He is a one man show and wow i cannot believe how he does it. My husband and I were very impressed. He is also quite funny as well as hardworking. He also helped us put in new hanging lamps in our kitchen making our kitchen more beautiful than it already is. I had a problem in kitchen lights, switch and outlets, so I called Steve. He came on time. He was really knowledgeable person. We talked about problems and he started troubleshooting. Then he found that outlet from dishwasher is not working. He gave me options and fair price and we agreed on that. He started work. He fixed my lights, kitchen switch and 3 outlets. I would recommend Steve to anyone in the need of an electrician. As soon as I phoned him from Santa Monica, CA, Steve gave me a time frame whereby he exceeded all of my expectations. He was reliable, extremely knowledgeable and experienced (40+ years), explained everything that was wrong and how he would fix the smoke detector and wiring to code, and he is as nice as can be. I would recommend Steve again and again and again. You will never be disappointed.
