Best Emergency Services in Indianapolis IN
These gentlemen were wonderful! They came out on a Thursday evening to give us a quote, and we're back Saturday afternoon to do the job of installing an additional outlet in the garage. They were very thorough on the planning, and the checked a couple times to make sure they were doing what we wanted. They were very well priced, courteous, quick with their work, and cleaned up after themselves. We will definitely use them again for future electrical projects.

I would like to recommend Champion Electrical Service.
They are professional and very competitive company.
I had them out to the house to quote electrical work.
They provided a written quote at no charge.
It was my intention to us them for this work,
but ended up using a company in Fishers
who's quote was the same.
When you need Electrical Work...
Try Champion Electrical Service

Excellent service. It was very easy to contact them through the Yelp app. I was able to describe the job and schedule a time slot. The initial estimate is free and there's no travel charge.
The service technician showed up right on time. I showed him what needed to be done (outdoor 120V panel removed and replaced with 240V service panel for the hot tub) and I got a firm upfront price (parts and labor) straight out of his service binder. No surprises.
Since he was already here, I showed him another minor job I had been putting off (replacing the security light high ankle my garage). Again he gave me a firm price (labor only) or if his binder. I would supply the security light myself.
So while he ran to the store to get the parts to replace the 120V panel, zi went to Lowe's to pick out and purchase the security light I wanted (motion-activated).
When I returned home 30 minutes later, he was already working on the panel outside. I gave him the security light and he was done with everything in about 20 minutes.
I would definitely use Copper Ridge again for my electrical or plumbing needs.

Complete bums. Had a service call for no heat. Was 5 hours late. Quoted a new system for $10,000. Another company came out and did a $257 repair and it's good as new. Crooks!

We hired Frye Electric to install 12 light fixtures in our new construction home. John showed up on time, and was very patient while I changed my mind on the pendant chain lengths a couple of times. The price was stellar. We'll be using them again for sure!

Excellent in every way. From the first call to schedule to the last call to give payment, top notch service. Adam and Megan arrived exactly when they said they would, were pleasant, kind and professional. They installed a small chandelier EXACTLY to my specifications very quickly. Perfect work, I couldn't be happier. I would (and will) recommend Broad Ripple electric to anyone needing electrical work.

We called this company out on Friday Jan. 31st to repair a broken furnace. Their resolve was to replace a motor or replace the furnace due to its age. We paid for the motor and was told this should resolve the problem until we can replace the furnace. The furnace went out again Feb 6th. Because they had fixed a problem last year for the furnace, I chose to get a second opinion. I was told in that review the actual problem was a leaking pipe that had leaked into the parts and that another part was also affected which Efficient System did not mention AT ALL. It was very apparent that this was the issue. There was rust everywhere. We trusted the Efficient System rep when he told us that the furnace was just old in fact his quote included the following note with NO mention of rust, water leak or the other faulty part which you could see just looking at it:
DRAFT INDUCER REPLACEMENT: Replace inducer assembly do to failure other issues may still exist after repair but unable to test until inducer is repaired
Efficient Systems NEVER mentioned any leaks or rust or that more than one part was affected. I called them back and requested that they remove the part and refund our money for a fix that did not solve the problem and would force us to spend an insanely unnecessary amount for several separate repairs. Rob and his assistant refused to provide a refund and argued that they fixed a part. Yeah a part that was not needed. Don't call this company. I'm filing with BBB.

This company is so HIGH priced it is scary. They came out and diagnosed a bad inducer motor on my furnace. They use a flat rate price on all repairs. Total for the repair was going to be $1200.00. I found the part on Amazon for $47.00. I fixed it myself and it only took me an hour. So how do they justify charging $1200.00 for a hour of labor and a $47.00 part? When I refused the repair they then set their sites on selling us a new unit, mine was 12 years old and a danger to us the salesman said. Well I looked at the date of manufacture and saw it was 10 years old. I talked to several other companies and they all told me that the furnace and ac system was not a danger and I would be fine with the repair I did myself. Mister Quik wanted to sell me a new unit for over $14,000.00. Steer clear of these con artists as they want to only sell you a new unit even though you do not need one. And the flat rate book is based on several hundred dollars and hour for labor. I can see now why others rating them on yelp have stated the same on their prices. When looking for a company please check their ratings on yelp and you will find honest companies not out to rip you off. Their new unit prices are the highest in town and the $14,000.00 was for the bare bones system of a 80% furnace and a 13 seer a/c. Another company quoted me $6500.00 for a 95% furnace and a 16 SEER A/C system. But I chose to repair it and glad I did.

Our experience with AGS Electrical was absolutely horrendous. AGS is one-person company and hires outside help to complete jobs. This is lengthy, but please read and spare yourself the hassle of hiring this company. We hired AGS to install four new recessed LED lights in our main room, swap out a flush-mount light, install three dimmer switches and run AV cables from beside the fireplace to above, so we could mount our TV to the wall.
AGS was to start working at 9am. My wife called at 10:30am, asking where they were and was told they were 15 minutes out. At 11:30am, they finally appeared, took our deposit and said they needed to get additional parts. They didn't show up until 1:30pm, even after being told they were "10 minutes out" several times. At 1:30pm, I was told that some work would not be completed that day, due to one of his employees cancelling on him.
I came home at 5pm to find how little work had been completed and was nervous the work would not be completed that day. We decided to have them install the TV cables next, rather than cutting holes in the ceiling for the lights. They started cutting into the drywall and drilling through the studs of the house to run the wires, but were unable to make a large enough hole to run three HDMI cables. In an attempt to make the holes larger, AGS proceeded to take an electric drill at full speed in and out of the wall with no precision. At this point, it's 8:30pm and I asked them to stop working, as it is evident they were unable to complete the work.
We went through the estimate line-by-line and came to an agreement to pay for the work that was completed, however the total came to roughly one third of the original estimate. He still demanded the full 50% deposit for his work. He then argued with me for the next 45 minutes for his efforts, but since it was past 9pm, I told him to keep the deposit and leave.
Damages:
I came home from work the next day to better assess the work of AGS Electric. The cable box was broken, not mounted flush with the wall or level, and the outlet with the AV cables was also not mounted level with other outlets on the same wall. I stepped outside to inspect the side of the house and found two large holes from where their drill had passed through the interior of the house through the exterior wall and into the chimney. We also noticed a 4" x 4" patch of carpet had been torn up where the foot of their ladder was dragged along the carpet.

To be clear, I have not used their services, but I did witness the man in glasses and the gray van yell in a violent and overly aggressive manner at the car in front of him because of the traffic. The work may be good - who knows - but do you really want to support someone that is verbally abusive and aggressive to a stranger when in standstill traffic? Thankfully, the company name and contact was on the van to clearly identify them.
