A mixed review on multiple services.

I have used Mister Quik multiple times- a toilet leak, a plugged sewer line, and recently a water heater and sump pump replacement.

I am always happy with their professionalism and knowledge- though they are in for the sale.

This has never been more apparent than the recent visit.

During the water heater replacement I signed up for the SHAPE plan to get a discount on the purchase and service - and to get more routine preventative maintenance.

My first opportunity to use the SHAPE Plan was a AC maintenance rejuvenation. The person who came out was friendly and helpful with information, but honestly didn't do much and just tried to sell me a new HVAC system.

He started by gaining trust. Hey - I see you have a dehumidifier- I think there is a recall and you can get some money for that. Then looking at the system- he said I had a plugged drain line (didn't fix or offer to), that I probably had mold (though he couldn't officially call it mold), that there was a lot of rust in the heat exchanger - especially on a very critical part.  He checked the outside of the AC unit (didn't clean). Never added any coolant. And said my AC would fail the first time the temp hits 90 or very soon after. He also tried the whole- need to know by Sunday, don't call the office because you'd pay 10% more for a PM to quote. All in all - peaked my sense that this wasn't right.

I had a close co worker, former HVAC TECH come take a look. He cleaned the outside of my unit, actually took a look and said it has many years left. It was 90+ all last week and the unit is working like a champ.

Will be cancelling the SHAPE plan- it's not worth it if it's only an avenue for more sales and not a worth while preventative maintenance service.

STAY AWAY. Like other 1-star reviews, I'd give them a NEGATIVE rating if I could and am reporting them to the BBB for their treatment of my 72-year old mother.

My mom needed a new water heater as hers was leaking. She called Mr. Quik and as she is on the SHAPE plan and they came out the next day to replace. Great.

They charged her a whopping $5600, including a 10-year warranty on the unit and charged her $5600 (a $259 "savings"). She wanted a tankless heater, but the quote on that was way beyond her means... she was coerced into believing the situation was dire and tragically went ahead with the replacement without getting a second opinion.

When my brother, sister and I learned what they charged her we were furious; from our own experience and research, the new heater should have cost $1-3k and the tankless water heater should have fallen well within that budget.

Still, because she is on the SHAPE plan (and without telling us) she called again to get an annual inspection on her furnace. Her experience mirrored some of the other 1-star reviews: bottom line, they told her she had mold and rust and needed to replace her furnace. They quoted her $15k!!!! When she told the "technician" that she knew she'd been overcharged for the water heater, they lowered the quote to $11k, and coerced her giving them a $5k check that they'd "hold" until she decided for sure. WTAF.

This time, though, she did get a second opinion from another company with a good reputation/good reports from family and friends. The technician was appalled at Mr. Quik's quote, found mold only on the insulation, not within the unit and said it needed NOTHING at the moment. He indicated that this is a rising trend: big companies hire sales reps as "technicians" with the mandate to sell new appliances using scare tactics and ultimatums.

From this experience and reading other similar experiences on Yelp, I am grossed out. Protect your loved ones from these creeps.

We were quoted for a new HVAC. Mister Quik's quote was $10,000+ more than every other quote we got (4 total). They use fear mongering tactics to try to get you to sign day of. Our technician wouldn't even turn the furnace back on because he warned us that it would light up in flames and he made it seem dire that we replace the HVAC that day. All 3 other companies that came out laughed when I told them this. They admitted that the heater would definitely lose efficiency but it's not a safety hazard. The last technician we had come to our house from a different company said that Mr. Quik is notorious for this kind of behavior.

After this encounter I thought to myself "how can this be legal". Turns out Mr.Quik was sued a few years back for this exact same thing. Read here: indystar.com/story/money…

Save yourself time and money and look elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They rip off and take it advantage of you. We called them out to inspect our HVAC because their air conditioner was out. They found the part was a dual motor starter that needed to be replaced. They charged us $621 to replace the part we did a quick search online and found the part on multiple websites for $15. I called Mister quik the next day to ask what the discrepancy was and they said a manager would call back in 24 to 48 hours. They are in no rush to call you back and I had to call multiple times to get the manager on the line. I spoke to Sarah and she said there is no discrepancy in the price that's the price in the price book she said the part price covers things like their insurance and their storage and their inventory fees and holding the part in a truck and paying for the training of their employees. I told her we paid an $89 service fee for her employee to come out and inspect and diagnose which covers his fees and the rest of the fees are ridiculous. She apologized and offered to reimburse the $89 service fee, but the part cannot be changed. They made $600 over a 10 minute visit. Please read the reviews of this company before deciding to call them in an emergency because you will just be ripped off like everyone else was. I wish I can give zero stars because that's what this company deserves and I will be going to the Better Business Bureau and making sure they're aware of them taking advantage of customers. This company deserves to be closed.

We had electrical issues I called around for estimates. Peterman couldn't send anyone out until May 10th. So I called Mister Quik... they came out today Sunday. It took the poor guy an hour and a half to find the issue but if found it and we got it fixed. We opted in for the shape plan be a use We also got a quote to run electricity to our shed which will save us money as well. Otherwise today's visit would have been an additional 50 bucks.

Technician was nice, respectful and informative.

We are grateful for your help!

Absolutely do not use this company. I'm sure their work is perfectly fine if you have money to set on fire and give them but the pricing was outrageous. I tried to call my initial installer and they couldn't come out until Wednesday, so I called Mister Quik as my AC went out on a Saturday in the summer.

They came the next day (great!) and then proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $6,000 for the fixes - they're more than happy to help me fill out a loan application! Mind you, my HVAC is 2.5 years old. I knew something was fishy when before telling me any of the issues or the pricing, the tech/salesperson launched into multiple videos about the "great culture" and how the organization was such a "family", only to then hit me with 6k as the most expensive, and 3k as the more reasonable price.

I then had my original installers come out for a free second opinion and they went down the quote sheet provided and did most of the stuff for free, while noting a lot of what was written was deeply unnecessary.

BBB has already heard from me.

Was with them over 10 years; mostly fine work but they have made some serious mistakes which they always fixed, but still.... I was on the Shape plan for twice yearly HVAC cleanings/checkups and they ALWAYS try to sell me things I really don't need. Recently they went to a new system that makes the tech have to take two full hours to do this check up the past 2 times they came - about half of which was spent uploading things in their system and taking movies/photos to show me why I need to buy their overpriced stuff I don't really need. Finally quit them today (the final straw) when I was told I needed air duct cleaning ($1150) and blower motor cleaning ($500)! Most other companies include blower motor cleaning as part of the twice yearly service I have since learned, so there's a ripoff.  I got two quotes on air duct cleaning both for $600, and I got a blower motor cleaning quote (take it out completely and put back in) for $150.  Avoid if you can.

Trash Company from the top down! Owner pushes false prophet mentality with flock "Christianity" laced with misogyny, racism and shady practices, all while surrounding himself with attractive women who are easily manipulated and taken advantage of! These turds are masters of price gouging. I have even heard firsthand accounts of techs upselling jobs just to make the company a larger profit! BEWARE of these sheep in wolves clothing!

Unfortunately, system will not allow me to give a minus rating.  However, that is what is warranted.  Reported issue was not addressed. Serviceman identified another issue (really)? I now have a debt and the initial problem still exist.  Who replaces a water heater and does not remove the old one.  Who lays pipes for a water line and does not put down proper support (peat)? Who leaves openings uncovered? What plumber called because of water in the basement cusses, fusses and walks off the job?  Yours.....
I would not normally write a negative review but this is too much!!!

Thank you.

Had a floor drain in garage that was clogged. Two techs came out and said they couldn't fix so I needed to have concrete broken up and new floor drain put it. A $99 fix became a $2600 fix real quick. I called Peterman Bros and they came out for a second opinion. Ran an  auger and had drain cleared in 10 minutes. I feel like Mr Quik tried to scam me.

I so recommend Peterman Bros and ask for Eric Graham to come out. He was professional. Unlike the scammers from Mr Quik.

I had set up an appointment 4 day in advance. 3 hours past the appointment time no show and no call. When I called the company Zoe stated they had a lot of emergency call in and the were going to call me to reschedule. I informed her I had been without use of my kitchen for over 1 week and now they were going to put me off for another week. They did not call me to tell me they weren't coming. She did offer me $50 off the normal $89 service call.
I will never use this company nor recommend anyone use them

Do NOT use this company. I plan on filling a complaint with the BBB. They charged us 12,000 to install a water softener and tankless water heater. When we charged the price of the units at lows they were both a TOTAL of  around 4,000. I'm sick to my stomach that we paid that much. Lesson learned. I also now know to NEVER trust Google reviews as they can delete bad ratings. They can not do that on Yelp. I wish I could give  0 stars.

to begin with, they have been out a total of 3 times before the actual problem was addressed. our unit kept freezing over due to a leak. this unit was placed 3 yrs prior to me moving in, shouldn't be having this issue, understand shit happens. they have tried to sell me a new unit every single time. by the time the knowledgeable sales guy was out, we got the repair financed thru ally with the understanding we would be renewing our "SHAPE" plan for yearly maintenance. i asked specific questions about whether it would overlap with the existing "SHAPE" plan or start when the exisiting one ended with the guy confirming it would start once the new one ended. then to find out after our unit froze over again yesterday (3 months after the repair), they did not follow through on their part. they never renewed our "SHAPE" plan and our financing just shows a dollar amount, not the break down of what its for & the receipt left for us doesnt indicate ANYTHING on it, only a total price. they expect me to shell out ANOTHER $200 to renew a plan when they can't even fix the problem they were already paid to fix. *which cost $²,200 for them to do. guy today said they would apply the $2,200 towards an entirely new unit. clarifying it is the entire HVAC unit inside they want to replace. it was replaced in 2014, not even 10 years old yet. the employees are liars. they set expectations and guarantees they don't deliver on. will NOT be using this company further due to their shady business practices.

My furnace stopped working so I called for a technician to come look at it and give me a quote for a repair.  Because I intended to call several companies to give me quotes, I asked that they waive their $89 fee for sending someone to my house, which they did.  The tech arrived and told me I need a new furnace ($9000).  I told him I can't afford that as I was about to go on disability.  I asked if it could be repaired.  He said he could replace a part for $4000 but didn't recommend I put money into it since the furnace is already 13 years old.  Instead, he kept pushing me to  get a new furnace and to finance it.  I told him again that I am going on disability and cannot afford any extra monthly bills.  He then admitted to me that when he is sent on runs for a free estimate, he isn't really even supposed to touch the furnace, or give me a repair quote, he is just supposed to give a quote for a new one.  He said my furnace was overheating and he "reset" it and removed the air filter so it would run a little longer.  He assured me the furnace would definitely shut off again in a few hours and I REALLY need a new one.  After he left, I had another HVAC tech come out, someone that was recommended by a friend and works for himself.  This man told me I just needed to replace my $30 air filter.  I did and I haven't had any other problems.  How many older or disabled people has this company taken advantage of?  Why not just admit you aren't sending out techs, you are sending out sales people to scare us into spending thousands of dollars ($9000 for a furnace is WAY above what it should cost) we don't need to spend.  Shame on you.   My next "review" will be to the Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.

My water heater was going out last Wednesday and I called Mister Quik. I had the same experience as many of the reviewers here; you call and they say they are sending a technician, but they are really sending a salesman.  Sales man convinced me to purchase their SHAPE plan to check up on things like your HVAC and water heater and etc, but did not mention that the plan is self renewing (I will be cancelling before it renews). They pushed an AO Smith water heater and disparaged the maker of my old water heater.
They also told me that it would take about an hour and a half, two hours tops to complete the install.  It ended up taking them double that time.
After the install was complete, the technician left me a note saying that "a heat duct may have separated when he drilled into the floor" and that he wanted a heating and air technician to come and look at it.

The technician looked in my crawlspace today and sent me a picture of the duct separated...along with a quote of $983 to replace and connect the duct (TUH!) and $1400 to install a sump pump (which I do NOT need).
These people have lost their minds.  I believe these people are truly on a money grab.  I will not ever recommend using this company for home repairs.
They received two stars because I do have a new water heater that works fine, but it came at too great a cost.

I've had the Shape agreement for nearly three years, but I've decided to cancel. I've been happy with electrical and plumbing services,  but the annual HVAC inspections always result in expensive recommendations.  The last technician, Ben, recommended a tablet for some rust at a cost of nearly $300.00. I declined, and had another company check the work. No need for the tablet and he discovered the furnace filter hadn't been removed and changed and the external coils on the AC hadn't been cleaned. I'm giving up on Mr. Quik. I shouldn't have to dread high pressure sales techniques, and then recieve sub-par services.

Called them out and they came when they said they would. The said there's a $99 drain special so great! The guys get here and before they even try to snake the drain they start talking about over $600 to jet the pipe. Didn't even try to snake the drain and flat out refused to assist. Luckily they didn't charge me at all because they didn't do the service. My uncle was here trying to talk to them and they talked to him like he was an idiot. Refused any suggestions and talked about the price of their equipment. "I'm not gonna argue with you" is not a phrase I want to hear for someone who is paid to do a service. Then he says stick a water hose down it and let it run for two hours. So if that's all it's going to take sir why can't you run the snake? Two guys came and one was kind enough to wear footies the rude guy didn't even try. Calling another company.

My property manager has used Mister Quik for two different electrical services, today being the most recent.   My window of time was scheduled between 10 and noon, but the technician was running a bit late. The office was kind enough to let me know and asked if that would work for me.  They also asked if everyone in the house was feeling well and/or had any COVID symptoms which I thought was very responsible of them as a company.   The office called again a bit later to let me know that Bill would arrive in half an hour, which he did.  He was very friendly and knowledgeable.  My light switch had a short in it and he explained the defect to me which caused my overhead hallway light to flicker and work intermittently.  He then replaced it in record time (maybe 15 mins. max).   It looks great and works like new again.  I can't speak to their prices, as my property manager covered that but my two experiences with this company have been very favorable.   Two thumbs up, Mr. Quik!

Do not use this company for plumbing. If I could give this company negative stars, I would.

The drainage pipe from our house needed to be replaced, they had to dig up the front yard to get to the pipe. Over 6 months later and we're still waiting for them to fill in the hole. Can barely use the front door and had to put up flags so people didn't fall in the hole. They said they would do it 6 months ago right after they made the repair but didn't and they clearly don't care when you call and complain.

I should have known the first day not to use this company but were very responsive initially, a supervisor called me back within 24 hours of me complaining because nobody showed up on the day or time that we were told they would to do the work. (I had taken off work and they didn't show or even call me to say what was going on. I had to proactively call them only to find out the work would not be done that day)
Trust me, after they've been paid for their services, forget getting a call from a supervisor again, they are nothing but unresponsive and horrible to work with.
We were told by the individual who gave us the quote that the big hole in our front yard would be filled in after the work was done. It was early October and the weather outside was really nice for a few weeks after the work was done.. 6 months later I still have a hole in my front yard to which every time we call, they're always going to come out on some future date but never show up. (I understand that they were unable to do it during the dead of winter. It's just that we were told it would be filled before the dead of winter and they did not do it. They were supposed to come last Tuesday and do fill the hole but never showed up and never called. I just called the main line and they said we're on the list to have this work done 4 weeks from now and there's nothing we can do about it to get it done faster than that.)
So yeah, don't get burned like we did. I've never worked with a company that is so unresponsive, even when you call the main number and complain.. you will get nothing, no supervisor calling back like what we got before we paid them for their work. (guess now that they have our money, service and quality is just not important to them anymore). We can barely get to our front door, let alone use it, for over 6 months.... Why? because this company does not do what they say they will do and you're clearly on your own once you pay them... call as much as you want, it doesn't matter. I don't know if I have to call a news station or a lawyer at this point, they're just horrible!

We only used this company because they were so good when it came to something electrical with the house, they weren't bad on that BUT the plumbing..... I hope you don't have to go through what we currently are.

My wife and I have always received friendly and helpful service from Mister Quik. They installed our new furnace and cleaned out our air ducts within the past year and we don't have any complaints. If you are having to spend a large sum of money for a replacement or repair, they also offer some good financing options. We spent roughly $7,000 on a new furnace and were able to finance for 1 year no interest (not a bad deal in my opinion).

We had the water heater let go this weekend.  A family member highly recommended Mister Quick, so we decided to give them a shot.
The tech showed up and was pleasant and professional.  So I'll give them that.
However, he quoted me a price of $1700-1800 to replace a 40 gallon A.O Smith water heater.  This is about a $400-500 water heater.  So they're talking about charging $1200-1300 for labor and warranty?   Lol.
I declined.
I then went to Lowe's, bought the water heater, an extended parts and labor warranty, and paid an additional fee for same day install.
When it was all said and done, I'd myself between $700-800 (had I opted to wait a day or two for install, I would have saved nearly a $1000) going this route.
My advice;   Look around before calling on Mister Quick.

I wouldn't use mister quik. We had a small leak in a main line that came straight from the well. Wife called they came out said he could fix it for $1372.95. He broke another piece of pipe that was not the piece he was to repair the piece that was leaking he made it worse. It had been repaired before not by us. It seems he unrepaired the repair then wrapped it with my seal flex tape with a hole in the pipe that wasn't there. Then tells my wife the pipe needs to be dug up and replaced and going to cost a lot more money. So what it cost for today same money $1372.95 . He didn't fix it and no water for 3 days water spraying all over had to shut off pump valve. He wrote that he replaced elbow and 1 inch pipe he didn't replace elbow the 1 inch pipe is the piece he broke cost to buy one is about $4. Do you think he took advantage of my wife ? I ended up doing ourselves come to find out jb weld could fix it now I would like to get money back i called and  told my story they said they would get back to me been 3 days now getting bbb and the news in on it

The pros: The customer service rep was very friendly when I called and they sent a technician out the same day. The technician was also very friendly and drove back to the office to pick up a couple space heaters for us (only 1 worked though) since he didn't have the part to make the repair that day and we had no heat and it was freezing outside.

The cons: THE PRICE QUOTE! I was told that I needed a new inducer motor and was quoted a price that seemed ridiculously high. I did some research and that confirmed my notion that I was being overcharged. I called a different company the following morning and the price they quoted me was just over half of the price that Mr. Quick quoted me. I called Mr. Quick and told them to cancel the repair service. The other company came out and determined that the inducer motor was working just fine, but there was a problem with the board in the furnace. They were able to replace the board and get the furnace working for even less than the original quote.

Although the customer service was great, I cannot recommend this company due to their ridiculously high prices and the fact that they misdiagnosed my furnace problem.

Very very disappointed,  was told over the phone 800 dollars to install a pressure tank, was charged 1800, I was not home my wife was so the got her to pay the 1800 dollars after telling me 800 because she thought I agreed on 1800, but sadly enough ver poor installation,  the valve to shut off the water to my water filters is now unusable because the tank they installed is right under the valve and it can not close now, also the pressure valve is 1/4 inch under an electrical panel, supervisor said that that is ok, bad company and crooks, I will be getting a lawyer.

Unnecessary and overpriced service.

I own a property management company, and I called Mister Quik to repair a simple dripping kitchen faucet and loose bathroom faucet in one of the units I manage.

The Technicians came out and misdiagnosed the problem and wanted to charge a ridiculous amount for a relatively simple problem. I got a second opinion because I thought the prices were ridiculous, and I am happy I did.

Turns out, there was nothing wrong with the kitchen faucet and the bathroom faucet just need new screws, which only cost $4.99.

Mister Quik provided the following prices:
Rebuild the kitchen faucet ($296.00 or $329.00)
Replace the kitchen sink/faucet ($611.00 or $679.00)
Install a sink my company provided ($242.00 or $269.00)
Install a two handle bathroom faucet ($539.00 or $599.00)

I DIDN'T NEED TO REBUILD OR REPLACE THE ENTIRE KITCHEN SINK OR BATHROOM FAUCET! The technicians didn't diagnose the problem, they just offered expensive and unnecessary repairs.

I called Mister Quik to diagnose and repair the problems because they claim to have affordable prices and trusted experience. I didn't call for unnecessary and overpriced options. I have used Mister Quik in the past but I will think twice before I call them in the future.

Mr. Quick has been to our house before. This time was for a duct cleaning maintenance service check. I was on the plan. They said I needed a duct cleaning which I agreed to. When they started they were in the crawl space. Then came  to blow the registers. All was fine until they started doing that and dust started flying everywhere. He told me he was going to start the return button and I just thought that it was going to suck in the dust but it only got worse. We were sick for a week. Then the heat went out and I called and a man came out and told me we needed a control board and ignitor but he did not have those items in his truck.  And since the furnace was put in by another business they do not carry the same parts. I called ARS and he came out and looked around at it and said it was not either of those. It was smashed wires in the sleeve cover around the pipe it covered. Well Mr. Quick took the wheel out to clean it for the duct work. ARS fixed the wires and furnace is working well. So there goes more money from 2 disabled people on social security. WE want our money back. I call but they just tell me someone will call me but no one does. I'm so tired of getting screwed from Mr. Quick and Tire Discounters.

The technicians are OK (some are more respectful than others). My problem though, is the fact that they will put a very steep price on any repair you need. My furnace started leaking recently. I called them, they had a look, and told me it would cost about $2k to fix a certain part. However, instead of just being content in taking 2k, they were really pushing me to buy a "MisterQwik Furnace" that was inferior in capacity to my current system and telling me about "other issues" that would need repair, pushing my repair cost to $4k, which is close to the price of a new furnace. So, they gave me these options:

1. Repair problems: $4,000
2. Buy a MisterQwik Furnace:  $4,800 (80,000 BTU, 92% Efficiency). **
3. Buy a Daikin Furnace: $9,753 (80,000 BTU, 96% Efficiency)**
4. Buy a Daikin System (AC, Coil, Furnace):  $20,535 (80,000 BTU, 96% Efficiency)**
**Financing available at almost 10% interest for 120 months.

In the end, I said I would think about it, they did not fix the problem and still charged $99. Why can't they just fix my problem? I don't want to buy a new furnace.

FURTHERMORE, I did some research and Sears home services gave me a FREE quote for a new furnace. They gave me this option:
1. Carrier Furnace: $4,119 (100,000 BTU, 96% Efficiency)**
2. Carrier System: $12,081 (100,000 BTU, 96% Efficiency)**

** Financing up to 60 months, with the first 12 months 0% interest.

CONCLUSION: MisterQwik does not fix my problem and there are much better brands and cheaper options out there if you want to buy a furnace or system. MisterQwik's offer was inferior in capacity and more expensive.

One the electrical outlets was not working in my home. I called Mr. Quik to explain my situation. They said they could have someone out the next day. Next day came and I received a phone call from the technician saying that he would be at my home within the hour. Soon there was a knock on my door and Hayden from Mr Quik was here. He was properly equipped with his PPE gear on (mask and gloves). When he came in, he immediately put shoe covers on. He proceeded to get to the task at hand. Within minutes, he discovered the problem. Very professional, fair price, courteous and polite. All of the qualities anyone wants in a home repair service. When he finished, he answered a question I had for a future project with a great suggestion. I will be calling Mr. Quik back for my next job. Good job Hayden!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU CALL...
So I have used this company for many years. My water heater went out today. I called because they had sold me the SHAPE plan when I bought a furnace and AC from them. I was given a price for commercial pro line water heater 50 gallon with 6 yr warranty of 2100, 9 yr warranty 2600 and 12 yr warranty at 3100.
I called several other plumbers and they were 1500 cheaper! Talk about mark up! They tried to sell the fact it had copper lines, which I already have!
These people are trying to take your money when you need service. Pathetic excuse for a company and customer service! I just called and cancelled my SHAPE plan!

Good riddance MR QUICK

Very disappointed in the service. Service person came to fix a linking toilet told us it was fixed and after they left we tried to use it. It still was not working properly. We had paid in full called the office the next day to report that the issue had not been resolved and were told they couldn't get out to us for another day. To me this very poor customer service when you take on new business before taking care of an existing customer who has already paid for the services.

We have been customers for years and have an annual service contract with them. They fixed our unit earlier this week and the exact part they fixed is not working today when it is 20 degrees out. They insisted it would be $150 fee to come out even though it was their mistake and we are under a service contract with them. Do not get their service contract as they will not abide by the terms and do not use them for repairs. Horrible service.

This is probably the most disreputable company I've ever encountered.  I've fallen victim to their SHAPE service plan hustle.  Basically these guys show up and charge you an astronomical show up fee.  But then the techs tell you if you sign up for their SHAPE three year service plan for $199 dollars, that fee is waved.  What they never told me was that I signed up for a service plan that self renews every three years indefinitely.  I'm so livid right now.  This is outright deceptive, shady, and bait and switch business practice at its worst.  I'm still assessing the damage their unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account has caused me when an additional $199 was taken from me out of the blue three years later.  Evidently the company is well aware of this practice and writes it off as unscrupulous service techs misrepresenting the terms and conditions of the service plan to customers.  So much so that they have a specific plan in place to address it.  I'm waiting to see what happens to me and my money.  Will update review if problem resolved.

Review update*. Funds removed from my account have been returned.  Still sorting out the collateral damage.  Be very aware that if you sign up for the SHAPE service plan that you are not signing up for a simple three year service plan, but a service plan that automatically renews itself every three years unless you take the time to cancel it.  You will not receive any notice whatsoever of an impending withdrawal of another $199.00 three years later.  Perhaps if notice were given misunderstandings could be avoided.

Bad Company I have a Trane Heat Pump that I got from Mister Quick
The Heat Pump is great. Mister Quick not so much.
After five years of paying for a Maintenance Program that increased every year I changed to a different company. So now the outside fan motor quite working. I called Mister Quick they will not honor their 10 Year extended Warranty because I dropped their Maintenance Program.
Even the fine print said I can change Maintenance Program.
If I keep good records of the work being done on time twice a year.
Which I have done....So you have been warned... Wish I had been warned

Husband scheduled emergency service because our A/C isn't blowing cold air. They did come quickly, that's why 2 stars. Tech came inside looked at the unit then went outside. Said unit was wired backwards but left it wired backwards and didn't mention fixing that. Immediately said it was a bad coil with a cost of $2k+ to fix or jumped to replacement and financing options. When my husband didn't jump on that bandwagon he then said refrigerant was extremely low and it was probably a leak. Then went into the absurd cost to look for a leak and recharge. How do you tell me is it's a coil issue with this high estimate then the next breath say it's a leak. Not thorough at all. So end of story, we wasted time running home from work early, paid $99 for two possible diagnosis (guesses) and still have with no A/C. Should've taken head to the reviews here and went elsewhere.

I needed some electrical work done. I called Mister Quik to get a Quote. On the phone the girl tried three time to get me to agree to a $69.00 service call fee. When I finally told her I'd call another company, she waved the fee. So out comes the tech... first thing out of his mouth was the service fee... See Ya Later... No Fee...
Now the Quote !!!
Three time what I paid for the Job....
Now I See Why They Need The Fee...

First, the positives.  They are indeed quick.  I called early in the morning, without heat, and a technician was at home within 1.5 hours, even though I live in Bloomington.    The technician was respectful, and he seemed to be knowledgeable.

Now the negatives.  He diagnosed the problem as needing to replace (due to an aging system, even though it is only 8.5 years old) a blower capacitor, a control board, and an inducer motor.  Total, after discounts, $2500.  I've checked the prices of these parts on the internet (later on), and all of them together do not cost over $600, maximum.  So, that means, $1,900 for labor plus the trip and access to the parts.  The replacement of the parts took about 30 minutes, and the initial diagnosis another 30-45 minutes, so a little over one hour of labor.  So, bottom line is, they are ridiculously overpriced.

It was cold today, and this is partially my fault - should have just paid the service call, and have the system running (the system was running after the initial service call, and before the replacement of all of these parts), until I would be able to get a couple of more quotes.  I am sure someone would be able to do it for half the price or less.

My experience is entirely consistent with the other reviews here.  In addition, just like other reviews, the technician was trying to convince me to replace the entire system ($12k or more), even though, again, it is 8.5 years old, and these systems should last 15 to 20 years, so it has only reached half of its useful life.

If you are desperate, want quick service, and don't care about the cost, then they are certainly good for you.  However, they are way, way too expensive, and they try to sell you things you don't need.  Beware!

Gave me a window of 10-12 and at 10 on the dot I got a call saying they would be there in 40 minutes. 36 minutes later Daniel showed up and got to work. These guys came out to Bloomington to check our furnace that stopped working. There was an emergency fee for coming down to Bloomington and for working on a Sunday for $99 which I honestly think is a deal since they're the only ones available at such an inconvenient time and such an inconvenient place.

When we set up an appointment (which was fast) they had a person call us to make sure we were home. I like that sense of responsibility because it bothers me when a technician comes to your house and you're not there. Rescheduling is such a pain and waste of time and resources for both parties, so I appreciate this.

When Alex, the technician came, he was respectful and nice. He introduced himself and put on clean coverings over his shoes to not get the house dirty (thank you!). He was quick and totally honest about what work needed to be done. The price they quoted the repair was very steep though (greater than 1300 for a control board replacement) which is why I'm giving a 3. I think it was expensive partially because of the fact that the service was being done on a weekend (Sunday) in an inconvenient place, so you have to pay overtime for employees and getting access to parts. I also learned this was a bit of a rip off when I asked a carpenter friend of mine.

We graciously denied the service and he respectfully accepted. He wasn't in any way pushy. We ended up paying the emergency fee and parting ways. Overall, I am pleased with their service and would recommend using them in the Indy and Bloomington area for emergencies if you've got lots of money. They were fast and respectful, but pricey.

Update: we ordered the part for $90 and my boyfriend installed it literally in 5 minutes. If I would have used their service on the weekend, it would have cost me $1300.  However, we were without heat for 4 days.

I can't believe I didn't mention that the second person I had out to service my furnace also found a dead bird inside my indoor unit. How did Mr. Quik miss this? That bird had clearly been in there a long time. Not a real thorough inspection completed there before trying to sell me a 15k system.

Absolute criminals! We had a house full of guests last weekend and ran out of hot water, thinking our hot water heater had issues. They came out when I was gone and my wife was there, and proceeded to tell us our hot water heater "failed" and needed to be replaced. They had on on the truck and it would cost $4,000. They also offered an alternative rebuild, which cost much less at only $1,900....what a bargain. I can home later that afternoon to find my hot water heater working perfectly, and it has been working ever since. I will be filing a detailed complaint with the BBB as predators like these guys have no place in our community

As an update to this situation, and to further prove my point about the unfair business practices of Mr Quick, we had the company that installed the Hot Water Heater when the House was built, Earl Gray & Sons out to get a second opinion. We were told that there was a salt buildup on the temperature sensor caused by our water softener. The Tech removed it, cleaned it, and fixed the problem for a $100 charge. The Mr Quick Tech knew damn well what he was doing, knew I had a house full of people, and tried to take advantage of us to the tune of $4200. The Earl Gray Tech told us the Mr Quick Tech HAD to know as the "code" on the Hot Water Heater told him exactly what the issue was. So, to reiterate my prior statement, Mr Quick is a predator taking advantage of people in trouble. Looking forward to sharing this with the BBB now that I have PROOF from a reliable source.

Special note to Autumn at Mr Quick, save your energy trying to get me to remove this. You're company should be ashamed of yourself and you tried to take advantage of the WRONG people. I will tell everyone that will listen about your attempt to blackmail my wife and I, attempting to hold us for a $4200 ransom when your Tech knew exactly what the problem was. Kudos to Earl Gray & Sons! At least there are still some honest companies out there!

Waited 5.5 hours for them to arrive. Guy said we didn't have normal pipes since we live in a manufactured home. Said another employee just busted pipes in another manufactured home. His manager called and told him not to work on anything and he left. Found out he lied to us and we have standard pipes in our home. They knew the type of house we lived in before we scheduled the appointment. Terrible company, terrible service, very unprofessional. I subscribed to the Mister Quik Home Services program as a strategy to avoid the catastrophes associated with "deferred maintenance."  These guys are good at reminding customers about annual inspections!

Nick Barber arrived on time to perform the annual viewing of my 30-year-old water heater.  He was pleasant, professional and as tactful as any mortician in pointing out that it was time for final rites.  He gave me time to review my options, did NOT push for the high-end service, and got on with the job with a minimum disruption to my home.  Then, he completed his patrol of the laundry, kitchen and bathrooms -- new hoses on the washer/dryer unit are now in place.

Pricey?  Yes, of course, but my time is worth it.  Shall request Nick become "the" plumber for my file with Mister Quik.

I work in the same business park as their headquarters, off of 86th and Georgetown.  Every morning I deal with these clowns flying in and out of traffic from 465 down 86th St to Georgetown.  Then they all turn on Georgetown and make an immediate U-turn into their facility, since there's a concrete median blocking them from making a left turn.  Of course, they could all drive 100 ft further and make a proper left turn, instead of blocking traffic with their U-turns, but that would take an extra 30 seconds to get to work.

Just this morning one of those bozos flipped me off and got all road-ragey because I didn't let him cut in front of me on 465 (it was completely unnecessary for him to even be in my lane).  This lasted all the way to Georgetown.

What this tells me is this company's technicians are always looking for shortcuts, and lack any consideration for anyone else around them.  Definitely not someone you want in your home working on something important.  It's evident, and the reviews seem to confirm this, that they hire the lowest class technicians.  Maybe they should divert some of their money spent on obnoxious radio jingles into paying and attracting a higher class of employee.

There are literally hundreds of qualified plumbing, electrical, and HVAC contractors in Indianapolis, who will do good work for a fair price.  Most of them don't spam the market with their ads, so you have to do a little searching to find them.  And they may not have worthless $99 promises.  But in the end you'll pay a lot less to get your issues resolved by going with someone who does things the right way.

We called Mister Quik to take advantage of their $89 A/C tune-up special.  The tech arrived, spent some time with the unit and said that there were a lot of parts that needed to be replaced.  He said he'd shoot us estimates for both parts replacement and a new unit by the end of the day.  After not hearing back, we called and sent an email.  Never got a response.  When Mister Quik customer service called several days later and inquired about the service we received, we shared our experience with them.  Still nothing.  We don't even know if he actually did a tune-up at all.

We had paid 199.00 fee for one year that will cover tune ups and recently call for a tune up ( flushing) on my water heater. The technician who arrived told me the problem way before I told him about the water heater gave me a quote about $250.00 to flush it because I had some sediment build up, I denied the services for the single fact that is TO EXPENSIVE. I will not recommend Mr. Quick to anyone else, family or friends. Spoke with Nicole about how the service was so expensive and that I wanted a refund and she said that the service call will cost &69.00 and that she can refund the rest. Not fair to me, even though I explained the situation to her. Also the technician spent more time in his van writing the prices than trying to help me.
I AM NOT RECOMMENDING MR. QUICK ANYMORE. SAD

Worst service I've had from any of the plumbing companies I've used.  I called around 3PM about a pin hole leak in a brass water pipe that was spraying in a fine stream toward the ceiling.  I was told that I would get a call between 5 to 9 alerting me they would be on their way and less than 30 minutes away.  I did not get the call until 9:10 and was told they were running late.  "Call the number, spell the words for on time"  is their jingle.
The technician arrived at 10pm.  He did not have a ladder to do the job so I offered him mine.  He said he had to write up the estimate and would come back in when he was ready to give it to me.  When he returned his estimate was $567.95 and that was only if I agreed to sign up for a year of service with Mr. Quick which would give me a 1 year warranty and some service furnace cleaning.  I just wanted the pin hole repaired so I could turn the water back on.  After seeing his estimate, I told him to charge me the trip charge and that would be it.  I would find another company not trying to rip me off.  I manage over 60 properties and will never call Mr. Quick again.

We will NEVER use Mister Quik again. What a completely disgraceful company who employ nothing but con men. We called on a Sunday to have our heat looked at as it had stopped working overnight. Our first tech, Christian, said it was our blower motor but he needed to consult his senior technician to diagnose. The senior technician, Shawn, came out and said he could band-aid our system for $3,000 or get us a total new system for the low cost of $17,000. He mentioned he found multiple problems to back up needing a new system. He left our HVAC completely torn apart and my husband and I with a bad feeling. After he left, we called for a second opinion who diagnosed our heating problem as a simple $25 part fix and was in/out with our heat back running in an hour. Christian and Shawn were two men looking to EXPLOIT a family with no heat on a Sunday and toddlers in the home. In no way should a one unit HVAC system cost $17,000. He also told us he could throw in a water heater for $2,000 because ours would "probably go out soon." What a joke. I will be reporting to the BBB and Attorney General. If you decide to use them, please be conscious and get a second opinion or better yet DO NOT USE THEM

This doesn't even deserve a 1 .  I was cancelled on a day I took off work  and rearranged my whole schedule, and they had nothing to say about it.  My appointment was in the afternoon.  They called our home just after 8a.m. and tried to get us to have a technician show up. We were busy until 2pm and unfortunately had to decline.  I think they knew we were not going to be accommodated, and tried to squeeze us in. About 2:40pm we received a call they had to cancel   I tried to call to the dispatcher Connie but she avoided my call. Mr. Quick, what can I say. The word service does not apply to them. When the dispatcher tells you a tech is on the way they should say a salesman is on the way. This practice started about 20 years ago when consolidators came along. I've been in the bus. for 47 years. Just ask yourself this? 40 TV commercials a day on multiple channels? Must be $10000 a day. This money comes from hard working people like us. My neighbor had them out and said the entire AC system was shot. I went over there and a $12 capacitor fixed the problem. The unit was already r410a and a 14 seer. What happened to this industry is a crying shame. I can't believe they are still in business.

About a year ago my family converted from water pumped from our pond to county water. It took Mr Quick's crew 4 service calls to figure out how to do it. Finally the"boss" came out and had them tie in to the existing pipes from the pond. Since then, we have had them out several times to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. Each time it's suppose to be "fixed". Now we have a big problem. Our water pressure went dramatically down. We had the water  company come out and they told us we had a large water leak between the meter and the house. He watched us lose 45 gal. in 10 min. The water was turned off to stop the water loss. When we called Mr Quick on Tues. No one was available until Wed. between 10 & 2. So no water. On Wed. it was a no show. At 2:30 Mr Quick was called and we were told the technician was in the next town and was still coming. When he got there much later it was an "inside" man who checked if there were any inside leaks. He didn't have the equipment to check the outside, which is what they were told in the first place. Someone would be out Fri. morning, since Thurs. is Thanksgiving. So no water. My mother is elderly and my sister is disabled and cannot get out easily. This kind of service is unacceptable.
Friday came and again a technician came out but did not have the equipment to check for an outside leak. So no water. Saturday 2 technicians were sent out and this time had the equipment to check outside the house for the leak. It took about a half hour for the leak to be found and fixed. The leak was at the point where the new pipes were connected to the existing pipes. It had totally come apart. 5 days without water for Mr Quick to come out and fix their mistake.

The technicians arrived on time to reset my toilet that had leaked. I had all the water drained and the toilet sanitized for them. I had already put a new wax ring on the toilet and hooked up my waterline but I was unable to fit one bolt  back on to secure. I went ahead and let them remove the toilet again and they put new bolts on and a new double wax ring. I paid them $343.00 for this service. I just noticed that they took the two white caps with them and the bolts are bare. This is a shoddy job for so called professionals. I live in a very new house and to me for that amount of money they could have placed them back on instead of take if them with them. I had them placed on the floor out of the way to replace. I called and now they have to come back out to replace them. She said they wouldn't charge me a service fee. Really? I am just shocked that they thought I was that stupid not to notice.

I had a clogged pipe leading from the Ac unit in my home. This was causing water to leak in the room where it was located. The technician did not check this. The technician did not tighten my schrader valve after looking at the unit outside, then comes in and telling me my refrigerant is leaking inside(not the case). I got a second opinion on a new unit which was $3,000 lower. I got a third opinion and he saw  a pipe filling up with water, which was causing the water to leak (not refrigerant as Mr Quik stated). The new tech with the last company, flushed the clogged line and the filled up my refrigerant which was not previously leaking before Mr. Quik came out Tuesday. Do not use this company.....even in a pinch like I did. I've emailed a manager because I ended up paying almost $600 to have the Mr. Quik error fixed and no response over a week later. DISAPPOINTED doesn't even explain the situation. I would give them 0 stars if I could.  I believe they were trying to take advantage of me. Will be contacting corporate ASAP!

Unless you plan on wasting your time and rearranging your schedule just for them to not come or call you, I'd go to another business. Sometimes they just won't show up without giving you a notice that they won't be able to get to you, despite having an appointment. We now get to waste half of our Saturday waiting around unless they decide to cancel without notice.. again.

First gentleman who came out wasn't very knowledgeable, but instead recommended someone else come the next day. So we smoldered one more night :) But then Ben came. He was scheduled to arrive 1-4pm and arrived at about 3: 30, right when he said he would when he called. He was very polite, clean and knowledgeable. He investigated the entire situation, diagnosed quickly and fixed what needed fixed. He didn't try to fix something that wasn't broke, and even went above and beyond, figuring out there were actually a couple of issues. He was awesome!!

Just got a quote for some electrical and plumbing work. Let me just say this. $114 per to replace  GFCI. Don't think I need to say much else but shop around people.

Update:
I finally got to go to the my home in Indy (it's on the market) to see what needed to be done plumbing wise. Mr. Quik quoted me $2500 total to replace HW heater ($1300), 2 tub spouts /with shower diverters ($203 ea), "rebuild" 3 leaky toilets ($203 ea), and sink pop-up in masterbath ($203). I'll just focus on the leaky toilet and you will get the gist.

The home was inspected days earlier where the inspector found only one leaky toilet in the master. Quik told me all three were leaking. Since I hadn't been to the home in about 3 weeks I couldn't dispute at the time. Upon my visit a few days ago, I found only one leaking toilet in the MB as the inspector said. I found the flapper and float were faulty. About $20 (as oppose to $203, and mind you I can buy a new toilet for less) and 20 mins later, no more leaking toilet. And BTW, the HW heater was replaced for a little over $700.

As I stated originally, I thought their prices were too high. But it's what the market will bear right?

To Mr. Quik's credit, they did reach out to me for feedback. The young lady was very pleasant and explained their pricing and warranties on the work. I told her I wasn't trying to tell them how to run their business but someone with some repair knowledge might find them a little pricey as well. Moreover, since the home is being sold, their warranty wouldn't benefit me.

I called at 6am for emergency service because we had no water.  The "best" they could do was offer an appointment for 3p--5p that afternoon (on a 95 degree day in July).  Do not waste your time contacting this company for EMERGENCY assistance!!  Your emergency is not their emergency.

Our ac was broken and we knew it needed to be replaced.  We had Mr. Quik come out and look at it.  They charged us $89 to come out.  The 2 other companies we had bids from - came out at no charge.  The bigger issue that I have is that there cost for replacement of our AC and we have decided to go ahead with the furnace too was 2 times what the other companies bid.  Just to be clear, this was for the mid range systems and for 1/2 the cost we are going to have a top of the line system.  I would not use this company again.
I would not  advise using them unless you get other bids or just like paying too much for services.
Mr. quik rep was also insistent that we HAD to get our furnace replaced to have the ac work.  Both other companies stated that was not true.  They could make the ac work with our current furnace.  In looking at the whole picture we did decide to replace the furnace too as the age, we would end up needing that soon.  If you think you need to use them vet this out carefully.

We've been a customer of Mister Quik's for several years.  On this particular service call, we were in need of a plumber quickly.  They set up an appointment for the next morning and they arrived within the time framed given.  The plumber was very courteous and knew exactly what to do immediately and showed me what was wrong and how to fix it if it should happen again.  I appreciated that very much.  I would recommend them.

Such a great job. Tim took the time to inspect another company's work and installed a new Trane thermostat. Mister Quik installed my air handler and new thermostat and both times they have been out, their team members have just been great.

I have been a Mister Quik customer for years and always had great service.  I have a 60 year old house and they have been out for drain cleaning, water heater replacement, air conditioner maintenance, furnace replacement and yearly follow up maintenance.  They are clean, polite, and punctual.  Signing up for the maintenance program was easy and a money saver when we need work.  I appreciate their calls to let me know it is time for maintenance because I have enough stuff to remember already.

We had them out to clear a drain.  It turned out to be more than a clog - the line did not have the correct fall (I checked it and verified what they said).  There were some misunderstandings about how it would be fixed but in the end it was fixed to our satisfaction.  They went well above and beyond what was fair to be sure I would be happy.  Later I had some furnace work done and was very satisfied with that work as well.

11/23/2019 - This needs to be zero stars.  Like many others, I have fallen victim to Mister Quik's "service plan".  My water heater died one year ago so they talked me into purchasing their service agreement for $199 and said it would cover the service call for the water heater and HVAC service.  They came to my house and quoted me $2,300 for a water heater plus installation - the same water heater I could get at any hardware store for about $350.  The guy actually put the estimate in writing - $2,300.  I thought I misunderstood him when he told me the price.  They must quote pricing based on who you are because I've seen other reviews that listed their water heater quote at $1,600 - $1,800 range.  I am a single woman with a small child so I guess my price would be higher than "others".  I called Menards . . . ordered the water heater online and they provided a list of installers.  The installer I called picked up the water heater from Menards and came out the same day to install it.  Total bill for the new water heater and installation was about $700.  To my surprise, today Mister Quik took $199 out of my bank account as a continuation of my "service plan" from last year.  Last year I agreed to one year, not three years.  And no one told me it renewed automatically.  I am filing a complaint with the BBB as anyone else should do if this company has done the same thing to you.  Olivia at Mister Quik told me they would refund my money on Monday and it would take a few days to go through.  We will see.  Update to follow if the money doesn't make it back into my account, which wouldn't surprise me considering their unethical behavior so far.

How do I say this delicately, AVOID THIS BUSINESS LIKE THE PLAGUE! I have not been so disappointed or felt so cheated by a business in quite some time.  I called to schedule an appointment to have a bathroom exhaust fan replaced.  I asked the dispatcher the cost and she said she had no prices but the amount would be given to me by the electrician sent to the job.  Also, she stated their was a $69.00 dispatch fee.  Ok, I have dealt with electric projects in homes spanning the last 20 years so no problem, I was willing to pay market rate for the work.

BAD ASSUMPTION on my part that I was dealing with a reputable company.  The electrician inspected the very basic bathroom exhaust fan and quoted me $489.00 plus the $69.00 dispatch fee to install the bath fan.  Also, the quote came from a laminated price book that clearly had the prices and the work spelled out. So, the person who scheduled the appointment didn't need any technical background to give me a price.

$558.00 to install a replacement bathroom exhaust fan (the duct work and electric was already in the ceiling).  Needless to say, I sent the electrician on his way but was stuck with a $69.00 dispatch fee, which felt like another cheat because if the original appointment scheduler had shared with me their ridiculous pricing schedule, I never would have set the appointment.  Scott, the electrician said there prices were within 3% plus or minus of the market prices.  Well that was bologna too.

I called and had Danville  Electric (a licensed, bonded and insured electrician company) come out and install the replacement exhaust fan and they charged me $135.00.   The moral of this story...Mister Quik is a horrible company and should be avoided.  I have several rental properties and have dealt with so many contractors over the years but never have I had one be so unethical with their prices and sales methods.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.  I would have said ZERO stars but Yelp requires you to pick at least one.  They deserve NO starts for the unethical sales practices.

I had a water heater that was leaking in a home that we recently purchased.  Having moved from Texas we were a little unfamiliar with local businesses and there was a sticker on the water heater so I called that number.  Apparently the independent business had been taken over by Mr. Quick.  The service tech looked at the water heater and determined that it needed to be replaced.  They quoted me nearly $1600.  I chose to pay the $69 service call fee and get a second opinion.

I was referred to another plumber by a friend and they came out, agreed that the appliance need to be replaced.  Their quote? $875.  I bet you know how to add and subtract right?  Mr. Quick was nearly DOUBLE! And I was out $69.00.

You should be *ashamed* of yourselves and this offensive, chauvinistic, insulting ad campaign you're running. First of all, there are plenty of women that handle home repairs as good or better than any man. But on a personal note, your team of *men* that installed my geothermal system completely screwed up everything from start to finish. (Indy Geo did their job, your people did not). Guess who fixed it and reprogrammed everything? Hint: it wasn't a man.

If I can give this company 0 stars I would, they don't deserve any star as I have called them first time for the service, they promised to come to unclog my kitchen sink the next morning and they didn't fulfill their promises. Instead they delayed the services to 4 days later citing they have other emergency calls. Come on, my situation is an emergency as well since we cannot use the kitchen for anything. They could be honest when the first day I called them so I would schedule other company to do the work. Their are liars that made us so inconvenient since we are leaving Bloomington to Cleveland tomorrow and there is no time for other rescheduling.

I called for plumbing services. There was a special on a drain clean for $99. I was able to get an appointment immediately, even though it wasn't an emergency. Everyone was very friendly. The technician was very knowledgeable. The drain could not be fixed because of other main line issues, but I was given good advice. I was not charged. I almost would have given them 5 stars just because of how professional and friendly everyone was.

Today we had an appointment for a maintenance check on our air conditioner. The appointment was for the hours between 8am and 12pm. At approximately 20 till 12 received a call that we were next on the list. At 1pm (or about) I called Mr Quik at 317 466 8463 to let them know not happy they had not arrived and tired of waiting for them. Mr Quik returned the call after checking on when they would arrive and told us they were on their way. Arrived at 1:45pm. This is the second time they have been late and one time a no show. Currently not happy with this company and would not recommend them to anyone else. We might be moving to a new home in the future and will not have Mr Quik to service or install any air conditioning or heating equipment.        JoAnn M.

I had a pipe freeze and break. The service tech came out pretty quickly and did a great job fixing it and was professional. I would probably use Mr Quik again. However, I really wish I hadn't bought the new faucet (at this time), and the service plan. The faucet was way too pricey although it is a high quality one. Could have had it done much less expensive had I waited. I'm already paying for the stuff the service plan covers but I'll try to get some use out of it. But those last 2 items are totally on me.

My heater went out on a Saturday morning , being that mister quick had installed both the heating and AC unit 6 years ago , I called and asked for a service call. They came out and said it was the control board and to replace it would cost 1,557.00. The other thing was being Saturday if I won't to replace it on the weekend it would be an additional 200.00 . Thank goodness it was in the 60s ( 02/18/2017) I told the tech I would let him know. Monday morning I called another heating and AC firm and they also came out and said yes it's the control board and to replace it would cost 550.00. They got the job and they also will get all my future business not only for this rent property but for the others that I own. Do business with them at your on risk.

Not able to rate zero stars or I would.  I had a Trane XL16i....sold to me as a "top of the line" heat pump, installed in 2011.  So far, it has not operated correctly when it gets cold....usually when you need heat the most.  Their technicians have been out countless times every heating season with promises that it has been fixed.  Then a cold snap hits and we discover it hasn't been fixed.  My home is now a balmy 56 degrees and will not get any warmer.  Part of the sell job was my electric bill would go down, it has gone up significantly when looking at KWH used.
The technicians try hard, but they are obviously not adequately trained on this system.  Every one that comes out is mystified.  The supposed "experts" get involved and don't get us any further either.

In addition, I was suckered into paying them to maintain the unit all along.  They gladly pocketed that money and laughed all the way to the bank.  Several times we found out that the actual maintenance that was done was the actual source of the problem...although I have zero confidence that they know the source of the issues in the first place...they just come up with things to tell us to pacify us for a while.

So....don't by a Trane heating system and don't trust Mister Quik if you really need your home to be warm when the temperatures dip below zero.

TERRIBLE WORK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!  My elderly parents who live in Indianapolis needed to have a gas leak fixed, Mr. Quick came out and charged them $200 and then told them they had fixed the problem.  DID NOT RE-TEST AFTER "SUPPOSED" REPAIR.  Gas company was called and said their was still a leak and that by law,  Mr. Quick NEVER should have left before re-checking their repairs.  The technician spent less than an hour on site doing the "repair", but when I called they said their technician had been there for 3 hours!!!!  If he was there for 3 hours he must have been around the corner in his truck taking a nap!!!   CROOKS!!!!!!!!    Have been under prior investigations for poor business practice.  My elderly parents have been without heat, hot water or the ability to cook for over 24 hours!!!   DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!  They lie and cheat.  If I could give them negative stars I'd give them -100.   They did not complete the work they were called to do and my parents had to call another company and pay additional repair costs to remedy the problem.

I called these guys for a quote to install a ductless air conditioner at a small business.  They came right away so I was encouraged. But then.....It took me 4 days, multiple calls to their office to finally get the quote.  I know this system, have installed one for myself.  It needed about $300 worth of materials and a few hours of basic installation.  Quote was for $4000, literally twice what our company paid for the ductless AC unit.  Offensive is what it was.  The technician who showed up told me the unit we bought was "a piece of junk that was made in China" (of course it's cheap, it was $2K for a 30K BTU unit) and proceeded to recommend their Daikin brand which is odd because Gree actually made the Daikin units at least at one point.  In any case, don't bother calling these guys.  They must need the high prices to pay for the incessant commercials they play in Indy.  Zero stars if possible!

Pretty disappointed. And shocked. We own a small restaurant in downtown Indy. Like fools we never put the wall mount on our sink sprayer. So, 3 1/2 years later, the threads broke. Called out Mr. Quik. A guy was there for an hour to give an estimate.   We were charges $60 and given an estimate of $752. I took the parts over to Economy Plumbers. They sold me $10 in parts and told me how to fix it. Took us 10 minutes and fixed. What on earth could have cost $752. Seriously. Shame in you...

I called to get an estimate for a heat stack vent for my gas water heater installed on the roof of my house, they came out and quoted me $900 and charged me $69 just for coming out.  The service person constantly tried to get me to commit to a monthly service commitment.  As he assessed the situation to give me an estimate he was asking me technical questions about the how he should do the job--if I knew how to do it myself then I would do it myself.  He then spent 15 minutes on the phone consulting with someone else on how to do the job.

Avoid these people.  I called another HVAC contractor and was quoted $300 for the same job.  These people are crooks.

Crooks, I say.

Technician Vince did a good job of repairing our plumbing problem (hot/cold washing machine shutoff valve replacement).  Issue concerns price charged ($245 per valve + $119 to cut a 10" hole in drywall).  Call to manager went nowhere.  Corporate pricing, no recourse, so sorry, etc...

$600+ to braise two $8 parts located two inches from each other, which took an hour.  Have used electrical part of the business before and have been pleased by service.  We were gouged by the plumbing side.  Currently have service plan but am reconsidering further use of this company

Mr Quick took care of our Spring A/C tune up. Ben T was courteous and professional. He waited outside while I ran to pick up my 14 year old from summer P.E. This was mostly their fault as the work was supposed to be completed between 8am - Noon and He was not able to get to my house until 11:55am. Still, he was pleasant enough about it. I had water logged HVAC in the crawl space due to a clogged condenser drain.  The technician didn't have a shop vac on his truck so I offered he could use mine.  He cleared out the water from all the water logged ducts and also helped clean up the standing water on the vapor barrier that had accumulated under the ductwork in the crawlspace.  Because I helped throughout and provided the shop vac he only charged me for the plumbing service (significantly less than what it would have cost for the whole ordeal).  Very friendly and nice to work with.  I've signed up for their maintenance plan so hopefully this won't happen again.

The free service coupon is not free it is built into the high cost. I had a toilet rebuild with another company not long ago this company wanted $100 more and that was with the free service call. They also want you to buy a year maintenance for $99 to give you cheaper rates which of course are normal rates. Very deceiving. I paid the $69 trip charge to not have them do my work because I value honest upfront cost over hidden misleading cost. The service technician was very nice he is young and making a living.

Zero stars.  I'm still in shock.  Garbage disposal went out one day before a big dinner party I was having......water all under sink.  The Technician was very skilled and knowledgeable and polite.  It took him less than a half hour to install so I have no complaints with his service...........but I was left with a big hole in my pocket to the tune
of $675.00.  Shame on me for allowing this kind of a rip off to happen but due to circumstances of the party etc. I became a victim.  However I can assure you that it will never happen again and all my friends will know about it also.
I checked on-line and the price for this disposal is approx. $120.00.  I expect them to
add for the cost of their employee and also add to their profit for the company but to have a 525% mark-up is ludicrous.  No wonder they don't belong to BetterBusinessBureau..........they would be out of business it short order.

This company is so HIGH priced it is scary. They came out and diagnosed a bad inducer motor on my furnace. They use a flat rate price on all repairs. Total for the repair was going to be $1200.00. I found the part on Amazon for $47.00. I fixed it myself and it only took me an hour. So how do they justify charging $1200.00 for a hour of labor and a $47.00 part? When I refused the repair they then set their sites on selling us a new unit, mine was 12 years old and a danger to us the salesman said. Well I looked at the date of manufacture and saw it was 10 years old. I talked to several other companies and they all told me that the furnace and ac system was not a danger and I would be fine with the repair I did myself. Mister Quik wanted to sell me a new unit for over $14,000.00. Steer clear of these con artists as they want to only sell you a new unit even though you do not need one. And the flat rate book is based on several hundred dollars and hour for labor. I can see now why others rating them on yelp have stated the same on their prices. When looking for a company please check their ratings on yelp and you will find honest companies not out to rip you off. Their new unit prices are the highest in town and the $14,000.00 was for the bare bones system of a 80% furnace and a 13 seer a/c. Another company quoted me $6500.00 for a 95% furnace and a 16 SEER A/C system. But I chose to repair it and glad I did.

Recently my sisters furnace went out in this sub zero weather and she knew she had to act fast so her pipes didn't freeze and so on.  Called Mr. Quick and they were able to come to view.  Cutting to the chase, Their quote was well over 60% higher than any of the other 5 she solicited.  The others provided quotes on good equipment, one even the same model she has currently.  On top of that, the servicer she chose was able to provide a very inexpensive part to get her furnace working properly within 1.2 hours.  Granted she will need a new furnace whether it is today, next week or months from now, but this servicer was honest. Kept her warm and house safe, until she had time to research and schedule during regular working hours so she didn't have to pay an emergency premium.  Mr. Quick offered nothing but the very high price.  I am so glad she had the wisdom to research and not be taken by Mr. Quick.  They should be ashamed for taking such advantage of anyone, especially a single woman.  Shame, Shame Shame!

I called in the morning for a plumber and electrician to come out that afternoon. I told the lady over the phone exactly what was the problem and asked for a quote. She told me they had to come out to do that. The lady who took my appointment told me that they technicians would call 10-15 minutes beforehand and she would email me their pictures so I knew who would be coming. The technician arrived in the timeframe, but never called and I never received a picture.
The technician was in my basement for a total of two minutes and then went out to his van to get the paperwork for my quote. He came back with a sheet of paper with tier pricing and told me it would be $771. When I told him no thank you, he went down to the next tier: $565.
What I would like to know is, if they knew it was a valve that needed to be replaced (which I told them over the phone) why couldn't they quote me the $771 instead of charging me the $69 to come out for literally 5 minutes total?!?
I promptly called and cancelled my appointment for an electrician and the lady on the line didn't even ask why I was cancelling. Obviously customer retention is not their focus, it is scamming people into paying for a "service call fee" when every other company will do it for free.
**UPDATE** The cost to fix the valve from a competitor was nearly HALF of what I was  quoted by Mister Quik. Do yourself a favor and look at the reviews and pending LAWSUITS on this company before asking them to come out and waste your time and money.

Mister Quik came to my home within 1 hour of my distressed phone call when my A/C quit working during those couple of 90 degree days we had 2 weeks ago.  They assessed the situation and told me my options for repair or a new unit since mine was nearing 20 years old.  I decided to replace the old unit, and they worked with me on a 0% interest payment plan!

They then followed through above and beyond what I could have ever expected; they delivered a brand new window A/C unit to help us last through the weekend!

When they installed the entirely new system 2 days later, they made sure to call ahead.  The professionals were on time and worked with the utmost professionalism.  I would recommend Mister Quik to anyone.  They even called to make sure I was pleased with the install 4 days after it was complete.

A reputable company that seems to be focused on customer service first.

My experience with Mister Quik was excellent.  I called to see if we could have a ceiling fan installed.  They were able to work us in within a week.  The person I talked to on the phone was very knowledgeable and courteous.  Today, prior to their arrival, I received a call that they would be here in with an estimated time, which was about 45 minutes from the call.  They actually arrived about 5 minutes early.  Both gentlemen were very efficient, clean, courteous and helpful.  We will use Mister Quik again and will recommend them to friends and family.

Thank you!!

Started to leave for work when we noticed a puddle on my basement floor drain. I called and got scheduled fast. There was a back up that was pretty obviously between my septic and the basement line. Gary could see that as well. Gary was very good at getting my drain running. It was not an easy job. He had the fees right up front, which I thought were reasonable. He knew what he was doing, and got it right. He and Jake were very friendly, and made good suggestions for avoiding future issues.  I would absolutely use them for my drain cleaning and other needs. I got exactly what I needed done and quickly. They did a good job of cleaning up after they were done as well.

Terrible company.  Do not use them.  They do not honor coupons and overcharge.  The so called drain cleaning service is just a scam to get them back to overcharge for plumbing services.  Avoid them at all costs.

Installed new 3 ton air handler on 3/04/2011.
Had service come out on 3/22/2011 due to extremely high air rush coming out of furnace. They found unit was set up for 3.5 ton  unit and this was a 3 ton unit. They reset it for 3 ton and it helped.
eat pump was making weird sounds like it was trying to take off and vibrated terribly.   Called service out again in 4/07  and they observed my problem and found that there was 2lbs too much freon in unit.  They removed and seems to be working normally now. Seems to me this whole problem could have been handled properly when air handler was installed on 3/04 and I would not have had to have so many service calls on a new unit.
As far as their personnel are concerned I have nothing but praised for the way they have treated me.   I just hated to keep calling to get all this corrected.
Hopefully now I am set until their six month service check

Had a problem in the meter pit last night 7/27/12). The pit filled with water and we called Citizens at 11pm. Citizens arrived at 12:30 am, promptly diagnosed the problem and told us if was the service line from the meter to the house. The Citizens Tech felt it was a 1/2 hr to 45 min repair.

We called Mr. Quik at 8am today, set an appt for 10-noon. Tech arrived on time. He pulled the lid off the Meter pit, took one look and said, bad news he needed to excavate the pit and repair the problem. - Estimated cost- $700.00 and he was doing us a "favor" as the repair should start at $1000.00....

We told him that the water company said it was a 30-45 min fix, he said that they don't know what they are talking about, " no way to reach all the way down the pit and fix the problem."  We told him we would have to get a second opinion and paid the service call.

The service tech from Citizens had mentioned that the irrigation system was also hooked to the meter and that the irrigation company had made the original installation in the water meter pit. We called the irrigation company and voila, diaganosed the problem and fixed it in , wait for it, wait for it,,,,,40 MINUTES..... cost ---- 75.00... ALL IN.

I would not recommend Mr. Quik - and suggest that everyone avoid them, unless you get a second opinion.

The most recent service techs were very good, much better than previous ones who look for any potential problem and then nag you to agree to have it fixed, by Mister Quik who's prices are way high (unless you have one of their discount coupons).  Scheduling for maintenance inspections is a pain because you either have to be there and wait all morning or all afternoon or rush to get there in less than 30 minutes.  A couple times I waited all afternoon and the tech never showed up.  If they get delayed on another job you're just out.  You can only reschedule and wait again.  They require that scheduled maintenance is kept up to date for validation of my furnace warranty, otherwise I wouldn't have signed their maintenance agreement.

This was insane. Our garbage disposal went out and we need a replacement asap because it's leaking water. We called around for some estimates, and they were all about $100-$150 (we already have the new disposal). Unfortunately, nobody could get here for several days, so we called Mister Quick. They had someone to send out immediately and they said they would write up an estimate when they got here. Their estimate was for $400!!!! When we said we weren't interested, they charged us $70 for the "service call"!!! Absolutely no work was done. Ridiculous.

We called Mr Quik because we had a leak in our faucet and also in our garbage disposal.  Our service tech was Danny P.  He advised us that the garbage disposal was rusting (7+years old) and also the faucet(11 years old).  We purchased both items and Danny installed them efficiently and timely.  Our only negative is the pricing, which seems awfully high.

My 75 year old mother in law called Mister Quik to replace 2 outdoor Outlets (approx $4.95 ea.) and was charged $525.00.  When I challenged the price, given that they didn't have to replace any wiring, crawl under the house, or anything difficult, I was told it was a flat rate per outlet, because they check everything back to the breaker box.  I asked them would they check the breaker box 5 times if I had them replace 5 outlets. (5 outlets @ $275 ea = $1375.00 !!!)  Mr Quik? Yeah, they're quick alright, keep your hands on your wallet.  BTW, an estimate for the same job from a long established and reputable firm?  $125.00

I requested an appointment online and got a call back right away. The plumber showed up on time and gave me a prompt quote for 2 repairs. I opted to do one of the repairs, but not the other and there was no pressure. He did a great job and explained everything clearly. I would definitely use Mr Quik for my next repair.

I would not recommend Mr. Quick to anyone.  They are way overpriced!  I had a coupon for a free $69.00 trip charge.  When I called about pricing the person said the electrician would give us an estimate and if he completed the job we didn't have to pay the $69.00 charge.  If we didn't choose them then we had to pay the $69.00.  Nothing is free with Mr. Quick. The ceiling fan was already taken down so the new one was ready to be installed.  It was a medium size fan and the charge was $127.00.  My husband said it was too high but we already had to pay them $69.00 so we let him install the fan. He also installed a stack switch for $126.00. He showed my husband the price list so they could have given me more information over the phone.  Our total bill was $240.35 to install a $64.00 fan.  Needless to say we were upset at how Mister Quick Home Services gets it's business.  Don't fall for their free $69.00 trip charge. Most places give free estimates which we usually do but we learned a costly lesson by falling for the high pricing of the service done by Mister Quick Home Services.  Don't use them it's a rip off company.  I'm going to report this to the Better Business Bureau.

My last encounter with the company of Mr Quick, back in 2012 Mr Quick did a hot water flush on a water heater that I had replaced, the tech talked me into a service contract of $9.99 a month, for this I got 2 cleaning a year, one for the AC and one for the furnace. This seemed like a bargain. Every time the techs came to perform the cleaning and servicing of the units, then end results was they tried to convince me that something was about to go out and they wanted to replace an part which was always $700 to $1000. I always said that when it broke or wore out I would get  it replaced then. Nothing ever failed. On 7/16/2016 when I came home from work my wife said that the AC was not cooling. I then called Mr. Quick, a tech arrived and the first thing out of his mouth was the unit was froze up, which would be caused by a coolant leak, that to find the leak it would cost about $800 , then to add coolant would be about $600 more. If the leak was in the coil we would then be looking at another $2000, it would be better to replace the unit. The estimate to replace the AC/Furnace would be $11,750. He said that my existing unit was a cheaper grade and was not really worth repairing. This unit was installed in 2002 and cost me $2975.00 to install, for 14 years this unit served me very well. I then decided to contact the company that installed it, 21st Century Heating and Cooling. They came out added 1/2# of coolant, replace a capacitor and within 1 and 1/2 hours had my unit up and cooling, for this they charged me $150 and I paid them $200 for the great service they gave me. Will never deal with Mr Quick again and will cancel the service contract with them today. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

The absolute worst service experience that I have ever had!! Ever!!! Technician arrived on time and it was obvious that he really did not want to perform the work needed. He would need to go into the crawl space to work and he ask me if it was dirty. IT'S A CRAWL SPACE,, DUH!!! Said that he didn't like spider webs. When he arrived, it appeared that he had just come out of a crawl space, he was filthy when he walked though the front door. Gave me an estimate that was astronomically over priced. I got another estimate form another company and the job turned out to be a fraction of what Mister Quik wanted. Will never use this company for anything, no matter how severe my problem.

As I've seen in other reviews, Mister Quik is very expensive...I agree. However, we have a service contract with them. They ALWAYS come same day, they are ALWAYS knowledgeable, polite, clean, and friendly. And they ALWAYS do great work. Today Justin was here to do some electrical work. Excellent!!

This place is an entire joke for a business! I had problems with the furnace in my rental house. I called them. Service charge up front was $ 69.00. Then they tried to talk me into a $ 4000.00 new furnace over the phone w/o looking at the problem. I said no & they said I needed a new damper unit/motor kit. They installed it and after 3 techs and 5 trips, it worked. I still have not received the paperwork for 2 charges after paying over $ 600. They answer the phone with,"how can we make you smile, today?" My answer: go out of business--you're a scam !!!  Consumers--beware !!!

We purchased a "top of the line" HVAC unit from Mister Quik a few years ago and it's never worked right.  They have to continually come out and make adjustments to the fan speed in the fall and spring to help with the humidity levels (and we never get the same guy twice so he has no idea what we are talking about when we have to tell them about adjusting the fan speed).  In addition, we were told the unit would work as our dehumidifier and therefore we'd need no other system...but each time I tell the service tech about our humidity being a problem they try to sell us a dehumidifier. My thermostat reads 62% humidity inside and 45% outside right now.  I showed the visiting tech, and all he said was that the reading may not be accurate.  I said that Mr. Quik installed our thermostat as well and if it's not accurate he needs to fix it.  He just shrugged and asked where the HVAC unit was, dismissing the issue.  I thought maybe he was going to address it by looking at the unit.  All he did was replace the ultraviolet light bulb (also purchased from /installed by Mr. Q), which was why he initially visited.  We are paying them $19/month for a "member discount" so all our service calls are at no charge, but if the items we are buying don't work, and the service techs don't know what they are doing, it's no bargain.  We are looking elsewhere for a more qualified/trustworthy company.

We called the plumbing services due to a leak which we found in the basement wall.  By the time they came I had figured out that the leak is from the kitchen sink. The plumber came and in one min, said that we have to replace the kitchen faucet and quoted $650.  I asked him why he thinks the faucet was faulty and not the connection to the faucet.  He said to prove that he will have to take the faucet out and it will cost me $450. I then pulled out the pull out portion of the faucet and found that the connection was lose and I tightened it in front of him and all the leak stopped. I asked him as to why he did not even pull the pull out portion of the faucet and check before telling me that the faucet was faulty? He had no answer and at that point I told him, thank you and you may leave. He started yelling and shouting that I have to pay for his service charge of $65, I thought to myself, how shameless these people are. I found a coupon for the free service and I gave that and told him that he may leave now. I would not take their service any more.

This is a devious business plan at best.  Advertise "free" service call with work done, show up and give a ridiculously high estimate (in my case $1,307) and when the work is refused charge a $69 service call fee.  I had the work done 2 days later for $360.

Mr Quik installed a new furnace and heat pump last year.  The service was quick, professional and high quality.  They have been great about checking in on how the system is working, and the complimentary inspections are great.

While Mr Quik did a great job at finding my plumbing problem and then fixing it, I wasn't very happy with the way the yard was left. We had a clogged sewer line and no clean out for them to access the line so, they dug a place for a clean out. They opened the pipe there and then sent a camera thru to find where the clog was. It was 45-50 feet from the house. So a new serice main would need to be laid. They came back the next day and eventually got thru the clog. Now a decision had to be made as to whether we should install the clean out and do a spot repair or dig up the whole line. They sent the guy with the camera back out and he followed the line all the way to the clog. At each joint in the existing clay pipe roots were showing into the pipe. I now had a decision to make, spot repair or the whole new line. I decided to go the whole new line because for $5600 I could have the new line and the clean out installed. If we did the clean out and the spot repair it would have been $2309 (clean out installation) and $3500 for the spot repair. The guys, John & Johnny both left the desicion up to me but, pointed out that all these roots could be another potential costly problem down the road. They were very good at the digging and replacing the pipe.
They did the whole new pipe installation. I was happy with everything they did except the condition the yard was left in. A 2-3 foot mound of dirt 50 feet long across the yard was not acceptable but I was told that was how they did it and it would settle in 2-3 months. Which after a neighbor had the same thing done, I know after 6 months it only settled less than a foot. They left the digging equipment for the rental company to pick up so, I got on it and graded it down to about a foot mound or less along the dig line. Might have been even better had not the man showed up to get his equipment back so soon. Now I am left with renting heavy equipment and making my yard level and reseeding the grass. Mr. Quik should rethink their policy on leaving a job uncompleted like that. In all fairness, I should have inquired before hand how they would have handled the clean up after the new pipe installation was done. Had I known it would be left like that, I would have called around to find a company that did a better job of leaving the yard in better condition.
Would I call Mr. Quik again? Yes, I probably would but, I would ask more questions about how they did the job and what the finished condition would be like.

I have used MrQuik for 2 years and have their home plan on 3 houses.  Up to now I had no complaints.  They are always courteous and professional but I had an AC issue and was very disappointed in how they handled the diagnosis.  My AC is on 3 yrs old so the main parts are still under warranty.  They made no attempt to discuss warranty options, gave me a $2700 quote for repair and send a salesperson out to quote new AC.  I called the Mfg. and was told warranty so part is free just pay labor.  Called MrQuik & explained this still got quote for $2400 by phone so call another company.  They came out ordered the part with warranty claim and gave me a price of $1100 for labor leak seal, new line filter & freon.  Almost 1/3 the cost.  The same day I had them clean & check the main drain on a different house and they quoted me around $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the line because of roots. I will get a second opinion & am now looking for a different company to service my houses because this experience.
