It's hard to find a good plumber.  I have been using enviro safe for over ten years.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.  They even repair and paint the drywall when it has to be opened up.  
They know my system and always manage to solve the problems that come with a large older house.
I know the technicians by name and trust them implicitly.

Ward D. Burnside & Co. has been incredibly responsive and reasonable.  They have spent the last year working at my rental property bringing it up to snuff, particularly in the last few months as I had made the choice to sell it.  Their prices have been reasonable and they have provided me with alternatives to save money while still achieving the items required for sale.  Everyone with whom I've worked has been very responsive.  Eric has been the primary plumber with whom I've worked and he even came out on emergency one night, resolving the problem at minimal cost. I highly recommend them.

Star Plumbing comes out promptly, but they are very overpriced. When my water heater leaked, they came out, took a brief look, said I needed a new unit, and gave me a quote.  I checked with three other plumbers in the area, all of whom had good reviews. For the same unit (Bradford White 50-gallon water heater with 6-year warranty), Star Plumbing's quote was 30% more than the others, which worked out to be an additional $350. When the owner found out that we had chosen another plumber, he sent an invoice for a $250 service call. Star's plumber had spent no more than 30 minutes in my house and didn't attempt to fix the unit. We will go elsewhere in the future. We used S. Dunsmore Plumbing & Son instead; we were very happy with their work and prices.

Don't waste your time. Called for an appointment and after confirming they simply didn't show up to inspect my HVAC. When I texted t wo hours after the appt time to see if they were late the guy said he had a long week and couldn't make it.

Over the weekend I installed a new faucet myself and subsequently thereafter had a hot water valve leak begin due to oxidation and aging of my existing water lines. Yesterday I called and left a message in the morning, received a call back promptly and had an appointment that afternoon. The crew installed new water valves which i had tested out prior to them leaving which showed no signs of water leaking. About 20 minutes later I checked and the hot and cold water lines had begun a small leak where the joints were soldered. I called back and within an hour another crew arrived to remedy the leaks. This occurred late in the afternoon when it would have been easy for a company to say they're closed for the day or charge for an 'emergency' but they didnt. They assured me that they stand by their work and stayed some time after the job was completed to ensure no leaks occurred. I appreciate them taking the time to get things right and standing by their work! This is why I like supporting local businesses and you should you too! They responded quickly but didn't listen to everything I asked for and are extremely overpriced.

I called because we bought a new house and I the AC on the second/third floor wasn't working. I clearly told the office that the AC is on the roof of the second floor and that they would need a ladder to access the roof. I also told them I wanted to have the unit on the first floor checked out.

The repairman showed up with no ladder and was unhappy he had to climb out the third floor window to access the unit upstairs. He told me the office didn't ask him to check the first floor unit, too.

Long story short, the bill was almost $300 before they applied the $50 coupon from online. All of that for them to tell me the AC upstairs wasn't working and needed repairs. He changed a filter and noted one repair from the old company's service log on the unit. The $79 diagnostic fee is just for them to show up. Not for them to do any work...  

The serviceman was friendly and knowledgeable but this is way overpriced.

Will be doing business elsewhere. For $79 to show up, bring a ladder!

Last night was had leak which I thought was a cracked pipe. My wife called Victor James. The person walked her through the steps to figure out if this was an emergency or not. With her help the on-call plumber figured out the leak was not threatening. We had a short window this morning on when someone would be here. Jim showed up before the time given and he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it within an hour! Low and up front pricing. Courteous associates. Fast and reliable service. I 100% recommend Victor James as the best plumbers in town.

Always quality workmanship!!  Has done multiple jobs both large and small for us over the years.

What can I say?

Thanks to Hughes Plumbing the house heating system is inoperable. They left a 71y/o Vietnam War Veteran who was later diagnosed with cancer without heat for the rest of the cold season.

They were hired to repair a steam house heater, they said it was the piping that was wrong (same piping was there when we bought the house 5 years earlier), they Repaired the piping after we took out a loan to pay them several thousand dollars, heat worked for a while and then never came on again.

Called almost every day practically begging for them to come check it out. Calls went ignored, any appointment I was able to make were no shows and the reality of them not caring was real.

Mr. Hughes you really should do the right thing.

I depended on you and your company to fix our problem, and now due to your negligence, my senior father and I have figure out how we will come up with at least 50K to fix the entire system because that's what was quoted due to the extensive work that has to be done to correct what you and your company did.

My father does not deserve this.
