Best Inspection Services in Durham NC
Awesome Service, I will use these guys again for sure! Nester came out and replaced 2 bathroom fixtures and a shower faucet that was poorly installed when the house was built. He fixed it all for a very reasonable rate.

Knowledgable and friendly service tech, however, the quote for the installation of a 50 gallon water heater was much too high. We had Dominion do the job for 1/3 of the quote.

I've used Eugene and his team twice. He located and repaired a leaky gas line first. Then I left a message on Sunday night and he had someone here early Monday to replace my gas hot water heater in my attic. Fast, very friendly and professional, and fair pricing. Highly recommend.

I suddenly found myself with water seeping up out of my cherry wood floor in my kitchen. Frantic, I called Sparrow and Sons (I'm a regular customer) for help. This was on a Wednesday morning (admittedly before Thanksgiving) and I was told that they wouldn't be able to get to me before Monday afternoon!!!!!! What is the good of having a plumber if they can't help you in an emergency situation?

Hire this company only if you'd like to become a plumber in the process. My kitchen sink leaked. They couldn't find the source. I repeatedly suggested that it might be the faucet. They ran tests but couldn't diagnose the issue. They did manage to turn off my hot water in the process. After going back and forth with the owner by text (where he kept asking me to send photos and videos- and asking if I thought it was this clamp or that ring that might be the issue- dude, I don't know. I'm not a plumber. That's why I hired you) I gave up and called another plumber who...wait for it....replaced the leaky faucet. For a fraction of what Greene charged me to diagnose the issue. Their billing dept is MUCH more diligent than their repair crew- I'm giving up and paying them in the hopes of just never having to deal with them again.

Plumber came out to my house within an hour of me calling them. Not to mention it was a holiday,as well as, weather forecasting snow and ice. I was very impressed with the service we received.

Contacted Vincent of Big League Irrigation and so happy with his service!! He was at my house within 30minutes and fixed my irrigation leak. In addition he recognized another potential problem, fixed that, added additional sprinkler heads where needed and checked/tweaked my entire system. I would very highly and happily recommend Big League Irrigation for all your irrigation needs!!

Seth was super responsive, quick and friendly. Went above and beyond repairing a section of our fence that blew out after a storm. Will definitely be using him in the future for inevitable household repairs. Fully recommended.

Stephen Coble was everything I could hope for in a contractor! His rates are tremendous, his work is excellent, and his reliability and dependability is second to none! I had Stephen lay laminate flooring in a condo I bought for my son. I plan to use Coble's Remodeling again real soon!

tonight we had the most wonderful experience with the most polite and accommodating technician, Ken, for Drain Express - we had a major backup in our kitchen sink in the middle
of cooking on a Sunday afternoon, I called Drain Express, he returned our call and said he was on a very difficult job but would get back to us.....indeed, he did at 6:00 on a Sunday
night and came over and fixed our issue. It was so impressive and I soundly recommend if you have any problems with drains, etc. please call Drain Express. We were amazed and thrilled that Ken was so professional and cared enough to come on a Sunday evening when I am sure he would have rather gone home after his difficult afternoon on another job. Thank you so much Ken and Drain Express!!!!

UPDATE: I've since spoken with one of the owners who apologized for the mistakes made and was quick to rectify the situation. Since we already had another plumber install a new water heater believing the previous one to be kaput, we will never know if it could actually have been repaired instead of replaced. I do, however, appreciate Pure-Line's quick and friendly response to an uncomfortable situation and would consider them for future plumbing needs.
Original review: I first had Pure-Line come out to fix a leaking bath knob and only had great things to say about them - I had finally found a good plumber! The technician was on time, got straight to work, and had (what I believe) to be reasonable rates.
The second experience also started off well enough - our tankless water heater died out of the blue and Pure-Line was quick to come out and take a look. Kevin spent time on the phone troubleshooting with the manufacturer but was unable to fix it. Upon leaving, he quoted me $350 for the visit, the parts they were to order, and the return visit to install them - I okayed it. Once all the parts arrived, they came back out to try again. Unfortunately, the parts did not work and as a last effort, Kevin said he was going to grab something to measure the gas pressure and would be right back.
The next time I saw him was when Kevin came back up to say that none of the suggested fixes/parts worked and gave me a new tally of $700. Apparently, they had went out and purchased a gas pressure regulator and installed it to see if it helped. The issue is that they did not ask me about the part or the potential costs associated with it (again, the last thing I was told was that they were going to measure the pressure). At the time, I just went with it since it sounded like a much needed part, but I've since had the gas company and TWO other plumbers say that the system does not need a regulator and that it should be taken off.
I've also had some trouble getting a quote for a conventional tank water heater. Pure-line had given me a quote for a new tankless water heater but I asked if I could also get a quote for a regular tank heater as well since this tankless model was only 6 yrs old when it died. Kevin said he would email it to me soon. Well ... I never got that email. I also didn't get it after speaking with him a second time and him telling me he would email the quote over.
Personally, I feel like I got jipped there at the end and should not have to pay for a pressure regulator that I was not informed of and, based on 3 other observations, was never needed in the first place.

They got here and gave me a quote that's unreasonably high. Although I have communicated my issue clearly beforehand and they should be able to give me a quote without having to be here. In the end I had to pay for the dispatch fee while fixing the issue myself. Genuinely bad experience, feels like a trap.
