Best Boiler Services in Detroit MI
Very fast, very neat, and professional.
It was raining quite hard the day they came to my place for a service visit, and I certainly appreciated the fact that they laid down a walkway of tarps so as not to destroy the carpet with muddy footprints as they traveled back and forth from the bathroom to their truck.
They were nice guys; courteous, and all business - they did the work, and got out of there as quickly as possible.
I'd use this guys again in a minute. They're like plumbing heroes.

I initially contacted Warkentin as I wanted to install a sump pump. They came out and quoted a price and although they weren't the cheapest, they came highly recommended. After I gave them the go ahead to do the job, I decided to waterproof my entire basement. As this is out of their realm, they recommended a few places to me and also advised me to ask if they still installed the sump pump afterwards would it affect the waterproofing warranty...which it would. Thanks to this piece of advice from Dawn.
Dawn recommended that I have the same company install the sump pump, which I ended up doing.
Flash forward a couple of months and I had decided to remove a tub and replace it with a shower. This would require changing the plumbing and setting a shower base. I contacted Warkentin specifically based on Dawns integrity with my previous issue. Her team came out and ran pipes and move the floor drain. As the shower walls were not yet installed, their plumber said he'd come back to set everything to the proper depth and ensure they were aligned properly. Once the walls and tiling were up, I contacted Dawn and she sent someone the following day.
Very happy with their professionalism, integrity and efficiency.
Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I had a blockage in my drain which caused my basement to flood, I called and got an appointment the same day, the technician Scott B was right on time and had everything done in less than an hour. He was very nice & knowledgeable and you can't be their prices, I will definitely be calling Levine & Sons in the future if needed. Thank you!!

It saddens me to be giving this company a 2-star rating. This was my experience.
I needed an electrician to remove a wall fan, venting my kitchen to the outside. I yelped an electrician, and got 5 added quotes from Yelp. Darin, the owner of Burton HVAC, was the very first response, and he gave me a low-ball quote of $85 fixed rate.
Well, they weren't rated on yelp, and had zero reviews. Their page said they had been in business for 19 years, and had electricians on staff, among others, so I decided to try googling the company to see if I could find anything else out about them. They had 5 5-star ratings on google. This being said, I assumed they were trying to increase their presence on yelp, by taking a loss on a few projects in order to get some 5-star reviews here. So, I decided to give them a try.
I called the number given in Darin's response, only to be met with Hello. It took me aback, and I had to ask twice if I was reaching Burton HVAC. I was, and Darin said he could come straight over! Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday or Thursday when I called, and I told him I would not be available until the following week. He could choose his date and time to visit, but it couldn't be Monday. Darin told me Tuesday at 1pm would work for him, so I put his visit on my calendar. He also asked me to text him my name, address, and the time and date of the appointment so he could add it to his calendar later.
On Monday, I received an invoice via text for the services he was going to provide. I've never been billed before meeting the service provider before. And on Tuesday at 11:47am, I received a text message saying that my appointment at 1pm was 'coming up'.
At 1pm, my son took our dog and left the house for an hour trying to get him out of the way during the service call. No one had arrived at that point. At 2pm, my son came home from lunch with our dog, and was surprised to see the fan still in the wall. I had not received a phone call or any communication from Burton HVAC at this point.
I texted Darin and said Weren't you supposed to be at my house at 1pm today? His response was Yes I was sending a technician your way and he should have been there at 1:00, let me see what's going on.
Darin called me 10 minutes later to tell me his technician was working on a job that was running over, and he still needed to do another job after that before he could see me! He then stated that he would just come over himself to do the work. I said that would be fine, and then he told me that it would be another 2 to 4 hours before he could make it to my house. I clarified with him that it meant he would be arriving at my house sometime between 4pm and 6pm. Darin then asked if I would like to be kept in the loop, and I told him Yes! Please let me know what is going on.
Well, 4pm came and went, 5pm came and went, and 6pm came and went, and STILL no contact from Darin or anyone at Burton HVAC.
At 6:24pm Darin texted. It read Okay if it's not too late I'll be heading your way. That will put me there at about 7:30
My husband was home, and was definitely not happy with the way things were going, but at that point I just wanted the work done. I was not confident that the guy would be able to be on time on any other day, and I didn't want to waste another 7 or 8 hours waiting again, so I told him We'll be here. And he responded with On my way!
Well, as you can guess, 7:30pm came and went without word from Darin. At 8:04pm, Darin texted I'm about 5 minutes away. He arrived by about 8:15pm... for a 1pm appointment.
Darin and his co-worker were very nice. They were obviously having a long day, but still trying to do the best job they could. I realized after they arrived that (I'm 99.9% sure) neither one of them were electricians.
They worked really hard to remove the fan from the wall of my house. It was in there good. Then, they just cut and capped the live electrical wires and dropped them in the wall of my house! An electrician would have known that doing that is a violation of building codes. My husband knew it, but at the time, I did not.
Anyway, the two gentlemen both worked hard while at my house. The fan is removed. They even put a towel in the hole and taped a bag over the opening to keep bugs, etc. out until we can have the gap sealed properly.
After they left, I returned a microwave cart to the area below the fan, and plugged it into the electrical receptacle there. After their visit, there is now no power to that receptacle. We now need to have another electrician come out to properly remove the electrical wires in the wall and fix the outlet for our microwave.
I feel Darin bit off more than he could chew with my job. He needed to send an electrician & if one wasn't available, he should have rescheduled. Or perhaps he should have never quoted my job in the first place.

On Saturday, November 28th, a Cregger technicians responded to our emergency call for a backed up sewer line. We had raw sewage coming through our floor drains . Though he said he'd been working for over 19 hours straight, the service technician was respectful, and diagnosed the problem as a collapsed sewer line, 30 feet from our house. We were charged $400.00 for the diagnosis, without any relief from the standing sewage. In that discussion and from the technician talking with his supervisor on the phone that evening, we learned that the $400 could be credited to our next service. That next service was to dig out the line, planned for Monday morning. This was based on the conversations Creggers technician had with his supervisor.
On Monday, talking with Creggers office, we learned that they would not be able to respond in any way until Wednesday, December 9th. That was radically different than we had understood Saturday evening, and absolutely unacceptable with standing sewage in our basement. We engaged their competition who responded promptly, correctly diagnosed the issue. It turns out Cregger's technician was not even snaking the correct line when he was here.
On Tuesday, December 8, in response to a written request to talk with one of the owners, I was contacted by the office admin at Cregger. She was disrespectful, demanded a complete copy of their competition's (who correctly solved the issue) bill and directly accused me of lying.
Do not do business with this company. They are not honorable, of have any idea what customer service looks like.

We do not recommend Thornton & Grooms. We have the Platinum Plan for our Heating & Cooling. Immediately after our annual inspection our Nest Thermostat was no longer working correctly. I called TG on Saturday and they said that they would not be able to get anyone out until Tues. Additionally, after asking for a window of time for the appointment (as a Platinum Member with a TG Technician caused issue) their scheduling representative would not provide me with a reasonable window of time. I have since called someone else to fix the problem. Based on previous quotes, I would say that TG is double or triple the cost of other HVAC Companies. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend TG!! My platinum coverage is up at the end of the month and I will not renew.

Hoovers' service costs our outrageous. They are deceptively hiding the start-up costs from customers. You have to pay $89 before they will come to your house. When they come to the house and give you a final cost to pay. Your cost + $89.00.
They charged total $355.00 for a simple replacement of hardware in toilet tank. Then they wanted to charge $3,000 for capping an outdoor spigget. We decided not to use them for the latter as the cost was just obscenely high.
Unless you have a lot of money to burn, stay away from Hoover.

Jim has done a half dozen jobs at my house over the last 25 years or so, both plumbing and A/C work. I have never had a issue with any of his work, or charges. Guess that's why I keep going back. Local, fair, and quality workmanship.

Gary and his team were great! They installed 2 large generators for me. Everything was done on time, follow up was excellent. They handle all of my preventive maintenance as well. All of my emails, questions and requests are always handled in a timely manner. Everyone from the office staff to technicians are friendly and professional.

Never rent any equipment from RELIANCE. They will install it one day, but good luck with removing. They never want to remove it. I have water heater which was used by the previous landlord. Its old and its not economical. I wanted to remove it, I was given the option to drop of. Other options are very expensive. I was given an account number and when I went there to drop off, they didn't accept it saying that the account is not in my name. ACCORDING TO THEM, IT NEEDS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO MY NAME SO THAT I CAN REMOVE IT. $35 FOR NEW ACCOUNT. I SAID ITS FINE. PLEASE GO AHEAD AND CHANGE IT IN MY NAME. This happened on may 17th-2022 since then i have been talking to customer service, billing department, removal department and every department with reliance. They will ask all the information like address, first name, last name, post code and once they realise that you want to remove the water tank, they will keep on transferring the call to one department to another department. Every day, i have to spend at least 2 hours on phone over them. It is not yet rectified even now. My suggestion to users who rent the equipment from reliance is IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO MOVE OUT FROM THEM, PLEASE RESIGN YOUR JOB FIRST, SO THAT YOU CAN AT LEAST SPEND 2-3 HOURS TALKING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXPLAINING YOUR SITUATION TO EACH AND EVERY AGENT AND SPELLING YOUR FIRST NAME AND LAST NAME TO EACH AND EVERY ONE. THEN GOOD LUCK!
