Best Pipe Repair in Albuquerque NM
I had an ancient boiler for baseboard heat & domestic hot water heater. Both at least 27 years old, really!
Before catastrophic failure, I requested 4 bids from HVAC plumbers. Of the four , 3 submitted bids; 1 suspiciously low & 1 really high & one in the expected range. Only Baker Plumbing sent the actual plumber to do the bid. That is Steven Baker himself. He arrived at the time agreed upon, asked the right questions & got an itemized bid back in 1 day. Work started on time and finished when anticipated. He came in on target with no overcharges. He explained fully & helped getting tech info for custom settings.
Steven Baker plumbing is highly recommended.

Prompt response to Request for Estimate, scheduled for a Mon a.m. repair, even though it was a holiday (Memorial Day), completed repair in less than 2hrs, and stuck to the estimate that had been provided. Was advised by Tech that I would be notified via email with invoice; received email same day advising that IF I didn't pay by end of day, there'd be penalty charge -- would have been nice to have understood that up front ... but, all in all, will use again in the future.

These guys took my call at 3pm on a Friday and came to unclog my drain just in time for my dinner party that evening. They were nice, gave me suggestions for avoiding the problem in the future, and cleaned up when they were done. I had a great experience with them.

I have worked for companies that either used Donner Plumbing or had them as a client. I needed a plumber in a hurry and had called one I had previously used before but refused to bill me. I called up Donner and spoke with I believe his name was Kyle. He fixed me up with a plumber the next day and billed me. We still have companies that believe in customer service and Donner Plumbing is definitely one of them!

I called for a backup and Louie & Sons said they would be out in 20-30 minutes. They were prompt and had the sewer pipe cleaned out and clear in less than 45 minutes. Other companies I called didn't respond. Leave a voicemail and we'll call you back. I liked Louie, very reasonable.

This company has been out to my house three or four times in the last two months to try to fix my evaporative cooler. They replaced my flex hose with copper for the line going into the cooler because the technician claimed they didn't have 3/8 inch flex but he just wanted to charge me for the copper because of course they have 3/8 inch flex hose. He replaced the drain valve and that copper line and the solenoid and it fixed nothing. I can't call them again because they didn't fix it. And the first time I met the one plumber from this outfit he told me that abortion and vaccines were a plot to kill the rest of us off so the elites would have enough resources on the planet. OK so that's a crazy person.

They rocked the first visit, why not give 'em another call, right?
This time around, tech Ivan N came to save the day. It wasn't rocket science, really, I'd done the furnace conversion just fine but my house really wasn't staying warm, and I wasn't sure if I'd missed something. The guy who originally answered the phone, BTW, was good about asking me some critical questions before he set up the appointment -- that matters, it makes clients feel more secure they're diagnosing the problem beforehand, rather than just sending someone out because they'll get paid regardless.
Anyway, Ivan N. He called because he could arrive earlier than our scheduled appointment, but I wasn't able to get home early, so he waited for my text, and arrived immediately after. He was good with my anxious dog, checked everything over and then ran a gas leak and carbon monoxide test, verdict: no worries. Ultimately Ivan simply explained that the advice I'd received from a previous contractor was simply wrong, that I should be buying disposable filters, rather than trying to clean out the reusable thing that came with the (ancient) furnace.
Essentially, two hours later I'd bought the filters and the house was back to a comfortable temperature, the furnace was turning on far less frequently, I had peace of mind about the air itself, it was well worth the money and time. Thanks guys!

Very Good Guy - I've referred Guy several times to homeowners I've worked with in 4 Hills - they are the best - fast, efficient and affordable - not to mention very experienced! They get it done right the first time!

Contracted through Lowes for a simple bathroom sink install after new vanity top was installed. Technican showed up without necessary parts snd had to leave to get them. In the end the sink was set high, plumbing not properly connected or checked so the drain line leaked. Called for a return visit, said technician would be here in 2 hours. Four hours later still no word so I called back and the woman forwarded me to the technicals voice mail. No response. I had house guests arriving the next day and decided to try and figure it out myself, and did. Called back to let them know and recieved a totally rude response from the woman who answered the phone, who then ended the call hanging up on me mid-sentence. DO NOT USE!

Needed a sudden extreme repair for my refrigerated air system. Western Mechanical provided immediate service, clear and fair pricing, thoroughgoing diagnostics and excellent repair. Professional through and through. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for all such work.

These guys are disorganized and it seems that they only have one screwdriver. One camera. One saw for the entire company. They are very disorganized and the front office seems to make appts for crews assuming the one regular tip Phillips screwdriver will be available and not in Los Lunas if needed in rio rancho.

I called in a non-working furnace on Wednesday 2/28 to my home warranty. Called Ashcraft the next day. Told that the woman who knew how to pull warranty requests was out for the day.
RED FLAG #1. There only one person who knows how to do that?
Technician came over. He immediately told me that home warranty was always a problem and rarely said yes.
RED FLAG #2. Why was he so anti-home warranty?
He looked at the unit. Moved the thermostat back & forth. Furnace never clicked on. He said gas solenoid was bad. I never claimed to be an HVAC tech so good. Furnace bad. He told me on Fri noon that he couldn't turn it into HWA until Mon. It wasn't turned in until Wed.
RED FLAG #3. Why did it take so long? He already said the furnace was no longer made but he was going to look up parts? And it took him until Wednesday afternoon to do that? And I had to call them three times?
They call me to tell me that HWA (Home Warranty of America) has refused the bid. I got mad at HWA and called them. Only to be told that Ashcraft had turned in a bid that included 20 hours of labor. Ashcraft's Ronnie (the supervisor I spoke with) told me the price they quoted was 2200 (give or take a bit.).
RED FLAG #4 The tech REFUSED to give me his quote via voice mail or email. As in didn't want to be able to be proven a liar.
So HWA sent out another company (whom I will be also reviewing glowingly.) That tech LIT THE PILOT LIGHT. That's right, he lit the pilot light. The supposedly bad gas solenoid pushed gas right through and the heater came on. I am now sitting in a warm home after 10 days of being cold. 10 days.
So I called Ronnie at Ashcraft who told me he was there with the tech. I could hear the tech in the background saying, It's a magic chef. I didn't want to work on it. I told Ronnie that he never even tried to light the pilot light. His tech responded It's a Magic Chef. So basically, the Ashcraft tech did not do his job AND tried to rip off my home warranty company.
Ashcraft refused to refund my $75 service fee.
Avoid!

The people there seem nice enough, and may even do great work. However, I asked them to give me a quote on a job and they even came out to the jobsite for a walk through. After days of not hearing from them on a price I called back only to get the excuse of we're still getting bids from a subcontractor. I was being patient, and after a few more days of waiting I had call back only to get the same thing. Finally after a couple of more weeks of not hearing from them I called back only for them to say sorry are too busy and can't do the job. I get it, people are busy, but have the common courtesy to call a potential client back and let them know that you can't do the work. Just not good businesses in my opinion.
