Best Gas Furnace Repair in San Jose CA

We had a backed up sink and Daniel was there  within a couple hours. We priced around and their rates were excellent! About $75-100 less than some others we called for quotes. He was thorough and friendly! Gave us some suggestions on work to do for the future to avoid similar situations but no pressure by any means! We would definitely use them again.

We hired IRBIS to install a Split, Ductless AC system via Amazon.  As such we did not who the contractor would be, but believed that they would be competent and effective based on reviews from Amazon users who had used the pre-paid offering and trusting Amazon's selection process.

When we were notified that the installer would be IRBIS, I looked up their reviews here on Yelp and was happy to see that they had established a very good reputation.

I knew going in that our install was going to be more complicated than a typical prepaid install. The IRBIS team responded with appropriate solutions and were expedient in completing the work. The completed job looks great. There was some expected additional charges due to some reconfiguration of our electrical panel, including swapping some single breakers for tandem breakers to make room for the A/C unit circuit. Cost for this extra scope was very reasonable.

We also had an issue with our preferred install location. This house is over 100 years old, with an addition that is about 25 years old - where the original house and the addition join there is a roof overlap that created a barrier between the crawl space and the interior wall where we wanted the unit.  The guys from IRBIS tried their best to find a work around, but in the end we needed to pick an alternate location.  Once that was worked out, they were able to get the unit installed and working very quickly.

Heater was working on Wednesday, stopped heating on Thurs.  Called Bellows and got an appointment for Fri morning.  Sonny showed up shortly after 9:00 AM and had the heater working again by 10:00.  Did a diagnostic on the heater controller and made some observations about probable cause and what to look for if there was a repeat (related to overheat cutoff switch).  These guys are good...really professional and totally compliant with masking and proper Covid19 precautions.

I wanted to wait until our permit was approved before leaving a review and it happened today.

I met Bellows through the Costco Services program when I requested a quote to replace our 30+ year old furnace and to add a/c.  Carl came around about two weeks later and spent a good amount of time looking over our house and then explaining our options.  I felt he was very knowledgeable and trusted his suggestions.  Normally, I always get at least three quotes, but by the end of his presentation, I was comfortable enough to sign the agreement.  Due to their backlog, I was warned that our installation wouldn't happen for another six weeks, but we were okay with that.
 
About a week after the consultation, Russell, the project manager, came to our house to check out the logistics as we were moving the furnace from a closet to the attic.  He answered all of my husband's questions to the point that my husband also felt Bellows knew what they were talking about.
 
When the installation date arrived, a team of four worked three and a half days to complete the work.  Each day, they arrived promptly and left the house super clean at the end of the day.  Bellows arranged for another company to do the HERS test which is required for the permit and we passed with no issues.

Today, the city inspector came and Bellows sent a technician to answer any questions he may have and our permit was approved!

Bellows has been very responsive and supportive every step of the way and now that we've used both our new furnace and a/c without issues, we can vouch for their knowledge and skills.

I have already recommended Bellows to two friends and would not hesitate recommending them to you!

The owner is very kind to reach out to me regarding the repair material cost issue. He nicely offered me a full refund of the material cost and I accepted a partial refund. Indeed, providing repair material cost transparency will set a practice apart from its competitors and attract/retain more new/return customers. Overall, I'm very happy with the outcome and will definitely come back for future repairs because the owner does his best to keep customers happy.

I just had my dryer fixed. I have no complaints to the technicians since they are polite and competent. Oh boy!  the material they charged me is way more expensive than their competitors. I paid $120 for an electric dryer heating coil/element which is sold for $20-35 online everywhere! I think it's reasonable to make some money from the materials, such as $50-$70 in my case since they also paid shipping and bringing them to the customers, but from raising it to $120 is simply greedy, 2 stars off.

Extremely professional, effective, and kind.  
They fixed the furnace, cleaned all the Filter and made sure I was happy.

I went to this store looking for an aerator for my kitchen faucet. I had already been to Ace Hardware and Home Depot. Ignacio took my old aerator apart, cleaned it and got it working like new again. For no charge. Everyone was very friendly.

Couldn't deal with these hot north Marin summers anymore so we finally started looking into AC. Had estimators come out twice from Costco, but never got any bids or estimates after they came to check out our home. They also primarily pushed the mini split systems, which can work great for cooling a few rooms, but gets very expensive and likely would have challenges cooling an entire house without a unit in each room.

Contacted Bellows instead and Jason was out that week and provided numerous better options to cool our entire home that really helped save us money. He helped us to dial in what would be best for our situation, being honest when a more expensive option wouldn't provide any additional benefit, helping us to invest our money where it would make the most difference.

Del did fantastic work with the install and it now feels like we have a brand new home! Everyone with Bellows has been extremely friendly and the whole process was relaxed couldn't have gone better!
