Called Van Allen when we discovered our water heater gushing water and flooding our garage.  They were on another job and said they'd be over by 8:30 am. They called when they were on their way and showed up when they said they would. They assessed the situation.  They had a new water heater installed and working by 10:00 am. Gabe and his partner were courteous, had attention to detail and were very professional. They went above and beyond while they were here.  They saw the drainage hose was initially in the street and moved it to water the grass instead of wasting water. They also looked at our leaky kitchen faucet and fixed that as well as with no additional cost. We would highly recommend them if you have any plumbing needs.

Hands down the best plumber in town.  Honest, hard-working, and knows his stuff.  Highly recommend Warren!

If I could leave Savage and Son Plumbing a million stars, I would!  As Native Renoites (my mother is 96), we have been doing business with them for at least 70 years.  Their service and employees are always outstanding in every way possible and always come through promptly and efficiently. They are personable and truly treat you like family.  Most recently we had an alarming emergency.  We received a yellow notice on our door yesterday from Truckee Meadows Water Authority claiming that our water meter was showing an extremely high water usage (69,000 gallons this past month alone).  Bear in mind we have had snow and our yard is covered in it.  From the very first point of contact the nice lady who always answers the phone at Savage and Son advised me that it could be a leak in the irrigation system, or it could be something as simple as replacing a part on a running toilet. They assured me they would come out the following day. Fast forward to early the next morning and I got a call at 7:45am from Kathleen saying their plumbing leak specialist Tom could come out RIGHT NOW.   Kathleen was very well versed and explained that if it wasn't a running toilet, it could be a leak in the irrigation system that would require a costly excavation repair.  She knew my mother was elderly and wanted me to give her a heads-up, which was very nice. She couldn't have been more courteous.   Tom, the plumbing specialist who is an absolute PEACH  (seriously, could he be any nicer?) already had the stats on the house from former service calls, etc., and came over immediately.  First, he checked our toilets.  The one in the large bathroom next to my mother's bedroom was indeed running and he worked on it for a good hour and replaced an important part, then went back to check the meter to see if that stopped the water from jacking up the meter. He did this several times and found that it was indeed the toilet that was causing the problem.  I asked him to check the other toilet, too, to see if it was in good working order.  He also looked in the crawl space and in the furnace room (the pipes in that room were sweating because of all the excessive running water from the faulty toilet part and he had all the stats of former repairs to the house) He said we shouldn't have any more problems and what needed to be fixed was fixed.  So, we dodged a very expensive bullet there.  If it hadn't been the toilet it could have been a leak in the irrigation system which would have required expensive excavation, and my mother would have had no water for a period of time.  I called Truckee Meadows Water Authority and told them we had rectified the problem, and they said that as soon as they see the water usage has gone down starting from today forward and the fact that we made the effort to get it fixed so quickly, they will make an adjustment to the bill.  

I would like to thank all of the plumbing specialists that have serviced our house over a period of 70 years, both men and women.  Savage and Son, you are like GOLD to us.  A million thanks and a million stars.

I can say that Don is my plumber from now on.  His price was right in line with the online cost estimators AND he insisted on doing the job correctly. Other quotes I got were a lot higher and they were going to take the shortcut of tapping into an existing gas line instead of running a new pipe back to the meter. He answers the phone himself or calls you back right away. He's pleasant, explains everything, shows up on time, and does a nice clean professional job.

We called Rotorooter in Reno to come take a look at our sewer line in Incline Village.  We needed to run a test on the line between our house and the main (IVGID) connection, but couldn't find where our line met the main line.  Roman came out and met with my husband (Jim), did an efficient camera search and found the connection!  Marked the site with green paint (can't miss it now!!).  Jim said he was pleasant and efficient... Great job!

Awesome doing business with this plumbing company for years.  They installed a commercial tankless water heater for me, moved 2 bathrooms worth of plumbing around for me and have handled a few emergencies.
If you happen to end up with a newbie who doesn't quite know how to handle the job, they will definitely make things right and will go above and beyond to assure you're happy.  Ultimately, I now know to ALWAYS request Aaron or Josh.  Their by-the-job pricing is great and their hourly rate is very reasonable too... they don't seem to be double dipping (charging 2 different customers for the same hour) like I have encountered with other plumbers here in Reno.  I highly recommend Friendly Plumbing.

Had a new garbage disposal to install...CNC was recommended by another business in Fernley that has excellent service. So I tried calling CNC 3 or 4 times with no answer, so I left 2 messages at 2 different numbers and no return call after 24 hours. Guess they make more money than they need.

Had to call a company out of Sparks to come do the work!

Josh is a stand up guy and a great plumber. We had a sewage pipe leak under our cabin and he showed up right away, put a quick patch on the leak, then came back once the sh*t was cleaned up and properly repaired the pipe. BTW, he was replacing and repairing the work another plumber did the year before. His prices were in line with the market, he was polite, clean, professional, and kept us updated. He also referred a service to come sanitize the crawl space. Gotta respect him for even being willing to crawl into a basement filled with standing waste water.

I couldn't help but notice a bunch of people are leaving negative reviews who recently moved to Incline Village, drove up the demand for services, and are now b*tching about guys like Josh being too overwhelmed with work to respond to everyone immediately. He's the top rated local guy for a reason- he does solid work and he's local to Incline. Call a crappy Reno company and see what results you get... if they can make it over 431 in the winter.

You're creating your own problems. If you don't like it here then STFU and move back to the Bay.

I had a serious leak in main water valve that controlled water into the house.  He is very busy but said the nature of the leak needs immediate attention and came out first thing in am. They were fast working and real pro's. This valve was changed two years ago by Ben Franklin Plumbing with a very inferior valve for about twice the price and twice t he time to fix. Thank you Joe for great service.

When it comes to plumbing needs, do yourself a favor and stay away from Johnson Plumbing.   Their final price came in $1345 higher than their initial quote ($4000).  I tried meeting with Mike, the guy responsible for the job.  He was professional and tried to explain the increase.  When I asked to talk to his boss, Joe stepped up and immediately threatened me with a lien if I didn't pay my bill.  I explained that I was willing to pay the bill but thought $1345 over the initial quote was unreasonable.

After paying the bill in full that day I went to their office to talk to the owner of the company.  I was told that Joe, the one who threatened me with a lien, was the owner, and then I was even more surprised.  

Approximately two weeks later David from Johnson Plumbing called to apologize for the owner's comments.  He also advised that Johnson was willing to reimburse me for 10% of the total cost. Although this made things a little less painful, I still paid $4810 on a job quoted at $4000.
