I have to say Van Allen plumbing is great! I called and spoke with a nice gentleman, he was able to give me a time frame that they would be able to stop by and it was the same day I called.
When they stoped by they looked at the problem that I had and gave me quote that was fairly priced, I defiantly expected it to be more!
The two gentlemen who came out were very polite and knowledgeable. They also let me know what caused the problem so I can try to prevent this problem in the future.
I would highly suggest them to friends and family!

I called Savage and Sons about a pipe leak near my hot water heater. The woman who answered the phone was very rude. She sounded like that person in your office who knows everything, but not really. She insisted that I would need a new water heater without ever looking at it!? This is a ridiculous business practice and I am shocked that you would have someone like this working for you all. I have had great interactions with S&S in the past. I was able to contact one of their competitors and had the best experience ever. Please see my reviews!

Back in February I had rented a VRBO in Tahoe Donner to enjoy with friends and family. It was a lovely home, but the upstairs main toilet was an antique, and no match for two teenage boys. On Saturday morning, the darn thing backed up and sent up a rushing cascade of water faster than the Truckee River after an El Nino winter. The property owner was completely unhelpful and showed zero interest in the problem. Needless to say, this put a little dent on my winter Tahoe dream vacation.

Thanks to Yelp, and John Greenside, this disaster was quickly averted. I'm used to using a snake to unclog the toilet (ahem, teenage boys), but the one I purchased at the local Ace wasn't sufficient for this relic of a commode. John answered the call on a Saturday, came out within a couple of hours, brought out a plumbing python snake that dwarfed my store bought garter snake, and fixed the problem. At an exceptionally reasonable price.

I was obviously bummed at the property owner's response, and John went to bat for me, pointing out the toilet really needed to be replaced. He offered to speak with the owner and did so. Eventually, the owner agreed to split the cost with me.

Five star plumbing really is five stars! No one calls a plumber happy and in a good mood and the women who answered the phone was so friendly and so calming! Within minutes I had a same day appointment and reassurance my issue would be resolved!

I have used this company multiple times as a realtor especially when it comes to emergency issues and I have been pleasantly surprised at how prompt and affordable they are. High prices! Then when you have an issue with their work, they do not work with the customer. I had a leak in my kitchen sink. It's a 2nd sink and rarely used. The warranty was good for 30 days. The same issue came up just after the 30 days, but they would not budge and charged me again .. I overheard the plumber on the phone with the company saying he felt bad for charging me again, that it was obviously the same issue he came out for the first time (same guy). The company charged me an additional $160. The gasket failed from the first repair which was $250, less than two months earlier.

Hoffman Plumbing is great!  I was out of town and my tenant called with a leaking water heater.  Hoffman Plumbing was so responsive and sent Blake out and he replaced it right away.  He also told me what was wrong with the other one (which was less than a year old!).  The next day my tenant had a new (unrelated) sewer drain problem.  Blake couldn't make it but made sure Gio would be out ASAP.  Gio cleared the drains and was also communicative and helpful.

Pricing was reasonable and service was excellent!

They charged me $275 to caulk our tub drain. Which didn't resolve the problem and we had to have a different plumber come out and correct their mistake. They also told me we needed to replace the return drain which they quoted $800 for. The other plumber tested and showed us the return drain was fine and said even if it needed replacing the job wasn't worth $800. So I asked roto-rooter for a refund and I have called at least 5 times and emailed twice with radio silence. I have sent supporting documentation to them for evidence and informed them of an impending lawsuit and still nothing. I will absolutely tell everyone I can about this experience.

I had a serious leak in main water valve that controlled water into the house.  He is very busy but said the nature of the leak needs immediate attention and came out first thing in am. They were fast working and real pro's. This valve was changed two years ago by Ben Franklin Plumbing with a very inferior valve for about twice the price and twice t he time to fix. Thank you Joe for great service.

No complaints on my end more of a thank you very much for the great service. The tech came over and with in 15min he was able to tell what the problem was with my gas water heater. He called the warranty company got my part order. We did an overnight order and the tech was checking-in to make sure part arrived. Great service, friendly, and fast.
