Our toilet was clogged. I made a few calls, left messages and Aaron from Honest Plumbing was the one to respond. Keep in mind it was a Saturday. He was easy to communicate with and was willing to work w my work schedule (on a Saturday). We appreciated his service and professionalism. Lastly, he didn't include a service charge since we both reside in M'boro.

Mike arrived on time, and was very polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issues that I had. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he also offered some helpful advice on how to prevent future problems. He also was able to get a licensed roofer out, who confirmed his suspicions! They worked on this issue together and knew exactly what the problem was.

The quality of his work was top-notch, and he even made sure to take garbage bags full of moldy, soaking wet insulation and drywall out. I was thoroughly impressed by the level of expertise and professionalism that he displayed.

Overcharged by a LOT to recharge air conditioner. R410A refrigerant is $23/lb for a 25lb bottle. I was charged $77/lb to fill my 12lb system. Very costly, making a 200% profit on refrigerant is pretty despicable

I called them and they said they were going to dispatch someone out on the field. Never heard anything from them after. I even called back twice and the call center had no clue what was going on.

The owner, Jacob, showed up in Covid mask; which I don't really care about, but I appreciated his respect and conscientiousness. We were switching from a single to a double bathroom vanity and needed water moved from floor to wall and drains moved. Jacob worked around our schedule even though it meant coming out a second day instead of finishing in one day. He ran into a few unforeseen issues on the second day arriving a few hours late because of an emergency at another client's home. Still, Jacob didn't try to reschedule, but stayed on our job until after Midnight to make sure the job was finished and done correctly. He did an excellent job, was respectful to us and our home, and was very clean. Definitely recommended.

We had an emergency plumbing issue and Michael Shaver Plumbing answered the call on the second ring and were at our house within 2 hours! Not only did they fix the problem they helped us learn what caused it so it's less likely to happen in the future. We would have paid any amount of money but it helps they were very affordable. Highly recommend.

I had an issue with my side by side refrigerator and contacted Lee Company. I am so pleased with the readiness and quality of service shown and given in such a professional and timely manner! They were able to schedule, diagnose, order part and return for repair within two days! This was a miracle to me! Thank you, Charles and Mia for going above and beyond to make this happen! SHADY business. Charged $95 for NO services rendered. Refuses to give full, Transparent breakdown of costs regarding new toilets with installation. Said they can't tell you the specifics of pricing for the different brands of toilets, even though the jump between brands is HUNDREDS of dollars. They know how much each toilet costs - that's how you run a business and keep up with inventory, etc. Completely UNETHICAL and ILLEGAL not to provide clients with a Proper, ITEMIZED quote and/ or receipt. Oh, and don't be mislead by  claims that they give discounts in exchange for a monthly subscription. That's not a discount, that's shifting where the price goes and how long you will continue paying out to them. Also said, if you're a member for the monthly subscription and you have an appointment, that appointment will never get pushed back or rescheduled. But if you're not, well, members get priority so your *scheduled* appt as a 'non-member' could be changed at anytime.... you have got to be kidding
Wouldn't be surprised if they pay to have this post deleted either. They certainly pay off Google to remove Honest reviews that are less than 5 stars. Disgusting business

I learned a valuable lesson today. I scheduled an estimate to have a few new outdoor receptacles put in. When booking the appointment, they make you agree to a Service Call charge - even for a quote.  Assuming their quote would be in line with other quotes I was getting, I agreed.

This should have been the first warning sign.  

When the tech got there, he was polite.  However, his estimate was way higher than others I've received. In addition, other electricians provided different installation options which will save me a considerable amount of money than the way they wanted to do the installation.

When I commented on how high the estimate was, he magically dropped the price a bit - but not that much.  He told me he has to quote a certain way and has no control over it.  This might be so the techs can't charge what the service should be and instead charge what the company wants.

So it appears their business model is to charge people to come give an estimate that is way too high so they don't have to do the work and still pocket the service call fee.

I have used Lee Company many, many times for different kinds of work over the last few months.  I have a so-called 20% discount for being a regular customer -- sometimes I get the discount and sometimes not.  I have to push for it.
At any rate, I have enjoyed and respected most of the guys who do work at my home.  They try to be fair in my quote. Unfortunately, that isn't always true.  And it is left to each  workman who shows up to give you a quote -- there is no standard, especially for handymen.
There is one handyman in particularly who works for these guys named JEREMY who will overcharge you tremendously.  He thinks that his handyman skills on even the easiest, tiniest things, like screwing in light bulbs or touching up paint, are worth $100/hour.  When you call for a handyman, be sure to say that you do not want this person to come.  You will probably fair pretty well with the rest of the guys.  They haven't overcharged me like this guy has.
