They took advantage of my mother who was in the early stages of dementia. The worst thing was she called them for a running toilet and they quoted her $800 to replace the toilet or $400 to rebuild it, right? She went with the $400 rebuilt in which they cracked the tank and put a loose handle on it that that caused the water too run up a $400 water bill! I only found this horrible rip-off out while I was cleaning out her condo and found the big stack of estimates for everything for $100 for nothing wrong with the unit or $200 for a light bulb replacement, to the toilet or $2000 water heater, etc. If you love your parents or grandparents, don't leave these guys along with your loved ones. They would quote her double and we she baulk, they would do the drop. If not they would take her to the cleaners. What a disgrace. I had one of my friends in the HVAC business tell me  that If you thick mechanics can rip you off, HVAC guys are 100 times worse.  It's just that Lee acts like they are so caring but they steal from the elderly.

I very seldom write reviews.  I feel compelled to write one now based on the 1 star review made back in 2017.  What's a person in Florida doing writing a review about a company in Franklin?!?  Just curious.  Anyway, I've used Lee Company for several years, both for repair issues and to purchase replacement appliances.  I've always been very pleased.  I may or may not be paying a bit of a premium, but I'm receiving premium service and support.  I recommend Lee Company for all your house needs.

We used Lee Co, to tile our bathroom shower and floor, and then a few weeks later, to tile another bathroom floor.   Joseph Phillips, did a great job on the bathroom with the shower and floor, and we had another tech for the other bathroom floor, we had a problem with some of the tile in that bathroom, Lee Company, sent their best tile person (in our opinion) Joseph Phillips, to fix the problem.   He did a great job, and we are very happy with both of our bathrooms.   Thank you Lee Company, for taking care of us

Less than a month after my new air conditioner and ductwork was installed, two pieces of ductwork had fallen down.  I had to crawl under my house to find out what was going on.  The work was subpar especially given the $10k price to install all of the ductwork.

We've used the Lee Company in the past and while more expensive we like them. We asked for them to hang a 32 by 36 walnut cabinet. It is an antique and thought it best to let a professional do it. Due to scheduling conflicts on behalf of both us and Lee, we finally had a time.

I rearranged my schedule and raced home, only to have the installer completely blow us off, and not even bother to call. We called the company and they confirmed that we were on the schedule and they'd ask him to call when he was done, but if he didn't, we were to call them the next day.

We called and were told that we needed to get a new quote because the one we had was beyond 90 days. It is a dang cabinet; not an entire kitchen full! We are really disappointed and will not use them again. It's a really dangerous game to blow off customers no matter the size of the job, especially since people are cutting back on discretionary spending.

Lee Company have installed two Rheem units in my home.
The first was three years ago and the last was upstairs one year ago.
Recently sold and discovered the biggest mess under the house with flex duct work that was not installed properly. Some was larger than others and some was not connected.
Lee says it is not their issue. How can a company install a new unit and not check the duct work. Lee charges more than most companies for all jobs.  This problem existed or this inferior work was done by Lee. Mold has formed from this problem and we have had to go on allergy shots over a year ago because of respiratory issues and illness. Thinking all the money paid to Lee had solved these issues. When they were called back to solve this problem the estimate was $2100 to repair.

Kelly, with the Lee Company,  did a great job scheduling one of the plumbers to meet me this morning within an hour of my conversation with her... Eric, the plumbing tech, was extremely considerate of me, knowledgeable and professional as we looked together how to install a water line to an outdoor ice maker in an outdoor kitchen we are building... Thank you Kelly and Eric for great customer service! George Allin, Allin Landscaping

We Recently had Lee Company out to fix a plumbing issue. We were told it would cost $49 to come out and check to see what the problem was. We were told by the technician what the repair would cost, ($488).  The technician was hard selling their maintenance program, which I declined several times. He was there 2 1/2 hours and said the problem was fixed. One week later we had the same problem. We called and they couldn't give us a time when they could come out, just sometime that day. No priority given to a repeat customer with the same problem 1 week later. They came out and tried to charge us $250 to check what the problem was!!! When we said we'd call the office they said they'd wave that fee this time. They don't warranty their work!!! they wanted $350 to pull the toilet and replace the wax ring!!! They then said we needed to replace all out plumbing underground. They are thieves and I feel bad for the next person they try to take advantage of.

Awful!
This company was recommended to me when my A/C unit went out. They came out and replaced a part. About $1700.00. Within a few days it was out again. Same problem. This happend again and again over a month or so. No kidding it was between SIX and EIGHT visits before it was fixed right. That was a lot of missed work for me and hot days for my family. I complained to the dispatcher and he was rude. Then when they finally fixed it, they acted like I should have been grateful that they replaced the broken part for free. Which was the part they should have fixed in the first place. They also left a mess in my attic.
They scheduled a maintenance visit last week. Said they'd be at my house between 2 and 4. So I rearranged my schedule. Then they called that morning and said they couldn't make it to my house until after 4. I just cancelled completely. It wasn't that they didn't have anyone available, they just didnt want to send an additional truck out to my house in Pleasant View....even though I pay a monthly fee service contract. I'm so fed up with this company. They have no consideration for the customers time or property. They provide bad service and don't keep their word.  I will never use them again. Ever.

If I had given this review a year ago, I would give them 4 stars but it appears they now have more work than they can handle and the customer pays the price.  I had a tree root grow into an outgoing pipe in the yard.  To give them credit, they were out within a couple of days to dig the trench, replace the line and get the plumbing going again.  However, it took over a month to come back and backfill the huge trench and over another month to come back and finish the job and level out the dirt.  I had to make every call to be the squeeky wheel, otherwise I never heard from anyone.  When the crew did come to finish the job, they advised they had people that had been waiting longer than me that they haven't got to yet.
I then had a fan go out on my HVAC.  I couldn't get a live person on the phone because all customer service reps were busy.  I punched in my return phone number for a return call.  It's been over 24 hours and they still haven't called.  I just called one of their competitors and reached a live person on the first try and they can come this afternoon to look at it.  I will be cancelling my service contract with Lee Company.

I read all the reviews. I believe Lee at one time probably was a great company, and I also believe their service techs are probably pretty good too, although pricey.  But you just might want to read on ......
We had just moved in to our home and the main heating / AC combo unit would not kick on. (The unit is about 14 years old; it's a huge, 2 1/2 ton unit)  Lee was the first one I called.  Someone (don't really know if he was a tech or salesman) came out very quickly, and after about 10 minutes of examining, told me that the reason it would not come on was because of a cracked heat exchanger. His boss was to come by on his way home that day and give us a quote on the damage.
His boss did show up on time and told me all the reasons why I needed a new unit and how impractical and expensive it would be to repair the unit, not to mention that there was no guarantee they could even get it running again. His quote for all work was over $10,000! Of course I decided to get a second opinion, and called up a highly regarded local HVAC repairman.  He was out there about 30-40 minutes, got it running just fine (it was a faulty relay switch). Total cost around $75 including parts....funny, that's what Lee charged just for looking at it.  I asked him about the heat exchanger.  Yes, it was cracked and a potential carbon monoxide problem, so I decided to get a new heat exchanger.  For $1,300 I got the unit fixed (the new heat exchanger will never crack), and yes, it's not as efficient as a new unit, but I saved over $9K!! All Lee wanted to do was to sell me an new overpriced unit. There are many good HVAC repair companies around Nashville, please don't be pressured by someone from Lee!

I moved to Brentwood 6 weeks ago. I have used Lee Company almost exclusively for a variety of work we needed done. They have always been very professional, prompt and friendly. Very, very impressed and will continue to use them for other projects. Kelly Knetchel was my first contact and Kelly has done an amazing job scheduling and coordinating the work. Kelly is very thorough and goes the extra mile each and every time.

I have read most of the reviews here and can only say that my 5 stars is based on probably 15 jobs and around 12 employees.

New HVAC system installed. Price was great compared to other companies. Jeremy was awesome the person that came out to quote me on the unit but everything that happen after him was horrible.
Appointment was at 8am, they didn't get there until 10:30/11. My boyfriend had to help unload the unit from the truck. (Which was the wrong unit and was installed anyway. They notified me until after install was finished). After the truck was unloaded they took a lunch because the 2nd tech had not arrived so he couldn't install alone.
Since having the unit I have called the company out twice because the unit is not keeping temperatures. We keep the thermostat set at 68-70 for this new unit and it's not comfortable especially late night, early morning it feels like the unit is shut off completely. I told the techs both times, out of every apartment or house I have lived in, I have never had to keep my house at 70 and it's still not cool/comfortable. Even when I set the thermostat at 70 it does not always read 70.
First time the guy came out and said my new unit is too big for my return. He had to widen it out. Which still did not solve my problem. The second time I called the representative on the phone told me it would be a service fee if she sent a tech out. I refused to pay on a new unit. I told her have her manager call me back and hung up the phone. A couple hours later a manager did not call but a tech knocked on my door.
Of course they set it to 68 which does no better & said that older units can cool at 74-76 because they have to work harder to keep up (Made no sense). And then was told they didn't see a problem with the unit. I probably just feel like it's not working but it actually is. In order for the warranty to cover anything my unit has to be broken. So I guess we will freeze this winter.
Now we are in an uncomfortable house with a higher light bill.
Paid thousands of dollars out of pocket w/o financing. Highly disappointed. Whenever my upstairs unit goes out or needs repairs I definitely will not make the same mistake twice by using this company.

I bought a maintenance plan with Lee, scheduled the maintenance at least 2 or more weeks in advance, confirmed the appointment a week in advance, then 24 hours before the service was scheduled to occur, they cancelled my appointment and said they could come out sometime in August.  Basically it's trash customer service like this that makes me search harder for smaller firms that stick to their word.

Lee Company tries to sell new HVAC system with scare tactics. Lee Company came to our house to tune up our HVAC for the winter (we were on a service plan...it has since been cancelled). The technician claimed we had a damaged main heat exchange after he inspected our systems. He proceed to explain to my wife (I was not home during this incident) that we were endangering our children lives with this issue and needed to repair ($5,000+/-) or replace the system ($12,000+/-). The endangerment was supposedly due to CO leak. (we have CO detectors in our house). Next, he proceed to shut the system off and scheduled a sales appointment for the following day. Keep in mind this is December 17th (its cold outside) so shutting the HVAC system down is an issue for a family of 5. This was all very fishy & seemed like complete B.S.

We decided to cancel the appointment that was essentially forced on us and called Joslin Plumbing for a second opinion on the HVAC system's heat exchange. (BTW we recommend Joslin out of Franklin, TN). Joslin came first thing the follow morning and confirmed that our system was totally fine & we had been completely mislead. We were also informed that Lee Company has a reputation for doing these types of things and I suspect their technicians are commissioned on sales as well.

Do not use this company...they are clearly attempting to take advantage of customers. If do choose to use them ALWAYS get a second opinion before taking them up on their sales team.  I would give them a zero star but its not an option.

Lee Company is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in my opinion and that is why I keep using them. They just demo'd a tile floor and laid new subflooring. They also tore down a divider wall and reworked my plumbing to fit a new vanity. The drywall work and plumbing work is perfect. It could have been done cheaper by using a smaller company. But I trust the people in my home and I am not going to use anyone else. To me it is well worth the high level of service that I get when I call them.

We use Lee company for practically everything - heating, air, we've had a water pump replaced by them. And I think they did our gutters once. They're the first place I call because they are reliable and ALWAYS open. I do think they're a little pricey but I'll pay a little more since they usually come so quickly.

I've used them for plumbing and hvac needs.  Anytime they've performed any work, they've always done a great job.  The only issue I've had is that they don't always show up for appointment or let me know if they need to cancel. If it weren't for the cancellations, I'd give them 5 stars.

Merritt A. saved the day for us!  Earlier in the day, we had someone who attempted to change out two toilet flanges and flush handles.  This inept person botched the job terribly!  He started leaks, when there were no leaks. When he finally left, we immediate called Lee Company.  They sent out Merritt right away.  Merritt fixed the problems on both toilets right away.  No more leaks, no more problems!  He fixed the nightmare this other private individual created.  Thank you, Merritt!  Call Lee Company - they are true professionals!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  They will overcharge you for their services and are not forthcoming in the charges.  I had a technician come out for a water pressure regulator to the home.  I was quoted $500 for the replacement or 20% discount with a quarterly maintenance program.  When I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor, the technician scoffed and said they are a flat rate company. THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!  The part can be purchased at Home Depot for less than $50 and it takes an hour or less to replace.  So you are telling me that I am paying $450/hour for labor???  No wonder they won't disclose the breakdown.  They are ripping of their customers and I am surprised the company is still in business.  Do not get scammed out of $49 like I did.

I had the Lee Co. come to check a semi-performing electric heater on 12/31.  It was heating, but not well.  The technician said one heating strip was burned out and could not be replaced because it was an older unit and that part was not available any more.  The only option I had was to replace the entire HVAC unit at a cost of over $5000.  I opted to wait to have another company look at the unit on the following Monday.  That technician analyzed the unit and found the problem to be a blown fuse!!!!  HIs service call was all I was out!  Either the Lee Co. representative didn't know what he was talking about or he was looking for a commission on a new unit.  Either way, I won't call this company again.

We had what we considered a serious issue with a new water heater that the Lee Co. installed.  The measure of any business is not if they make mistakes (they will!), but how they handle them.  After politely listening to my complaint, two Lee Co. managers called back the same day with a solution that was effective and very fair.  We have used Lee Co. for a variety of services for many years, and this latest experience only reinforces our opinion that they are an excellent company to do business with.

After I explained my problem with Lee companies high margins and sales tactics I received an email from a Lee company sales manager. After a lot of diatribe as to how they made corrective actions and want good outcomes they stated Please feel free to contact me directly to further discuss this matter or for any of your home services needs in the future

Their prices were triple of other reputable, insured providers. Their sales tactics toward female customers is aggressive and assumptive.  Their response was essentially.... Um I told him not to do that; call me.

Now please note on Yelp their desire to have a nice appearance on social media. They stated we tried to reach out to you. Not really Karol H. Your company tried to take advantage of my family and got caught.

Technician took 10 seconds to mis-diagnose my leaking kitchen sink problem. Told me I needed a replacement for my 3 yr old $500 faucet and that he would install for $400.
After speaking with the manufacturer, it turned out to be a leaking sprayer hose which they sent me (no charge) and which I replaced in 10 minutes.
When I left feedback at Lee Company's request, they said I would get a call (and maybe my money back for the BS diagnosis and waste of time running around looking at new faucets), there was no call, no refund, no nothing.
I would strongly recommend staying away from these incompetent and uncaring people.
I would give them 0 stars if I could.

The reason that I gave Lee Company one star is because I had to give them at least one star.  The people that I dealt with at Lee were at best unethical and at worst most likely guilty of fraudulent business practices (I am not a lawyer, but that is my opinion).  When I helped my sons and his wife purchase a home, they were provided two free checkups for the first year by the Lee Company.  I thought 'what a wonderful bonus.'  Lee came out to checkout our upstairs and downstairs units.

The technician seemed to represent his company and himself well.  After 30 minutes or so, he told me that the upstairs unit needed to be replaced and that he had turned it off since it could be releasing carbon monoxide fumes which could be deadly to my son, his wife and two month old daughter.  The solution was to replace an $864 part and a $280 part.  He said that if he were me, that the unit should be replaced.  He asked if he could send out an a man to give me a price on a new unit.  The man promptly arrived (He must have been in the neighborhood.) and stated that he could me an estimate on the upstairs unit (approximately $6500 to $9300) by email later that evening.  He told my that my downstairs unit might last a little longer.  I, of course, could turn the unit on but they could not be responsible for anything that might happen (before the unit was replaced or the necessary repairs were made (approximately $1350).  (Did I say that the overnight temperature was going to be in the teens?)

I called the man who has been servicing my (and both of my sons, my mother and my mother-in-law) HVAC needs for the past nine years.  My son's family spent the night at our house that night (for safety reasons).  Our HVAC man came out the next day and gave me a second opinion.  The two ignition switches (I think they were called) were $18.24 each (not $280 each and took 5 or 6 minutes each to replace).  The $864 piece did not not to be replaced, but I asked him to do so for my peace of mind.  The total price was less than $435.

This event took place in January of this year.  I have experienced no additional problems with either HVAC unit this year and it is almost September.

Let me urge you to get a second opinion if you are going to call Lee Company.  When someone offers to overcharge you, that is a little problem.  When they say they turned the heating unit off because they were concerned about carbon monoxide poisoning for your family, they are just lying.  Now, Lee has called to give us another free checkup.  That is not going to happen.

Buyer Beware!!!  I surely will not be using or recommending Lee Company at any time in the future.  You have to make up your mind for yourself, but again I say, Buyer Beware!

HORRIBLE! I am STILL dealing with them today, I've had no heat for 3 WEEKS! I have 6 children!! after their first 3 visits (none of which solved my problem) and 275.00$ later, they decided that I need a new heat exchanger and it would not only cost me 1200.00$, but would not be in for 7-10 more days! it is -8 degrees out side right now and freezing in my home! I have had to pay for me and my kids to stay in a hotel. only to find out that when I called in today that my part hasn't been ordered because they could not find it!! Their office will not return my call and will not give me any other options other than to REPLACE my whole unit for a whooping 7,500.00$!!! I called Fast Response today and they were out within 4 hours of calling. the technician James diagnosed it as a bad igniter. an 80.00$ simple fix! he also took the time to show me the so called bad heat exchanger and there were no cracks or rust. he also tried to DEFEND lee company saying everyone makes mistakes. so rather than bash a competing company fast response just fixed my problem and got us heating again!!! I'll update this as soon as LEE COMPANY refunds my money. they are a crooked, manipulative company. I would recommend Either  fast response or roscoe brown. I've had Good experiences with both!

UPDATE:  Just letting everybody know, I hired a REPUTABLE heat and air company, after kicking Lee Company to the curb.  Guess what?  It WAS the fan motor - the same fan motor that Lee Company wasn't able to check.  It's fixed now, and I don't have to worry anymore.  Yep, the fan motor is one of the two major reasons why all heat and air systems fail (bet Lee hates that somebody KNOWS that); so, OF COURSE Lee Company can't look at it!

Meanwhile, the new company ALSO discovered that, as a parting gift, Chad and his little buddy BROKE THE ON/OFF SWITCH - setting themselves up for yet ANOTHER service call.  Since nobody but Lee's has touched that switch, it's pretty obvious what happened to it.

I wrote a letter to Bill Lee, delineating what had occurred at my home; to date, I've gotten replies, but NONE are from Bill Lee.  Can you say cover-up?

Zero stars. Total rip off. Had a leaky kitchen faucet and the guy shows up to change the sink. Then charges me to go fetch a part. When I called they said the fees include labor and parts. So for changing a cartridge which is $32 + 20 mins tops of actual labor these thieves charged me $280. Do your homework and stay away from these crooks. They need to get some Bruce Lee treatment for their shenanigans.

I have used Lee Company many, many times for different kinds of work over the last few months.  I have a so-called 20% discount for being a regular customer -- sometimes I get the discount and sometimes not.  I have to push for it.
At any rate, I have enjoyed and respected most of the guys who do work at my home.  They try to be fair in my quote. Unfortunately, that isn't always true.  And it is left to each  workman who shows up to give you a quote -- there is no standard, especially for handymen.
There is one handyman in particularly who works for these guys named JEREMY who will overcharge you tremendously.  He thinks that his handyman skills on even the easiest, tiniest things, like screwing in light bulbs or touching up paint, are worth $100/hour.  When you call for a handyman, be sure to say that you do not want this person to come.  You will probably fair pretty well with the rest of the guys.  They haven't overcharged me like this guy has.

I spent 2-3 weeks and got no where. Initial call was to send a tech to get us a proposal for replacement.

Time goes by, no one contacts me, I follow up, present all the information and am told I'll get a call back.

That happens 3 times.

Today I call again to get an update, and no one has come out to our business, or has any updates at all. Total waste of time.

I called Lee Company in June, it was to setup a long term contract with them to clean and maintain two units.  I called in May, they said it would be 4 weeks. This seemed a bit long however, I thought I would schedule it. A day before they were scheduled to come out they called and said sorry we have other customers it will be September to do my A/C service.  When I said you realize that it will now be heating time, they said heating does not start until October.  Good bye, I will get a different company service this bad deserves and award.

The Lee Company scores again! Upstairs AC went out, I called Lee and Ross the technician was here within 4 hours. He diagnosed the problem based on my inadequate description of noises, fixed it was on his way in less than an hour. Ross was pleasant, neat and thorough.
I have used 4 or 5 different HVAC outfits in 20 years of living in Nashville.
You can find cheaper, but none have come close to the Lee Company in all around service experience.

I'd really like to give them a good review, I really would. However, not showing up for a scheduled repair is a problem in my book. I scheduled an appointment and was told someone would be here on Monday. The schedule showed it would probably be 1:00-2:00, but keep in mind they would be fitting me in.

I've been home all day, working outside this morning, and came inside by noon. I finally called Lee Company at 4:00 to see if they were coming and was told the tech attempted to call twice and came by and no-one answered the door. My response.... I had two missed unknown calls without a single voicemail message all day. They also had my wife's telephone number, and she never received a call from anyone. My wife works from home, and said she never saw anyone pull in our driveway or come to the door. (And her office/desk looks directly at the front of our property and drive. Not to mention four dogs that scream whenever someone has pulled in our driveway, or walks up to the door.

Now I'm being told that the earliest they can come again is four days from now. Nope, you've had your opportunity and blown it badly! This was my first and last time to try Lee Company.

This morning we woke up to a leaking hot water heater. I made a call to Lee Company. In about an hour a representative did not call rather he SHOWED up at my home!!!  Who does that? He gave me viable options and by the afternoon I had hot water again. Lee Company rocks. If you don't go Lee you ain't got a plea.

I won't use them again. Had an AC leak, they came out 4 times, every time, THAT guy couldn't do the job, it needed to be another person as it involved the ceiling as well. Then I was also told a project manager would come.  Never showed.  Had 3 HVAC techs come separately and say they were the wrong person for the job. Left hand not talking to the right hand. Meanwhile, I just bought a new HVAC unit with them a few months ago. $8500. You think they might have a little better customer service after I spent all that money.

I asked them to provide 2 different quotes for service the HVAC quote was 7 times higher then I am currently paying for HVAC.  I ended up asking them to do some electrical work, to wire two three-way switches and after meeting with the first guy he told me he would have to have another guy come and do the work a week later. After a week the guy comes to do the work, shows up an hour late and tells me it would take many more hours and that he couldn't finish it today. I will never call them again.

What a great experience.  How refreshing to have a service repair company be reasonably priced and stick to the plan without up-selling me every minute they service a piece of equipment after we already agreed on a plan of action. From the moment I called Allen to schedule a visit to the time Tyler was dispatched to fix my AC unit, the communication was courteous.  I was worked in same day and Lee has staff working round the clock.  Tyler did not try to bulldoze me with what needed to be done but patiently explained the plan of action after listening to the symptoms I was observing.  Tyler communicated when the issue was found, and what the solution was.  He did not try to sell me an entirely new unit when there was no need.  This was a great experience after having so many other service companies trying to hustle or pressure me into inflated sales transactions.   There is an upfront call-out fee but it was lower than the five other companies I called. Thank you Lee and thank you Tyler!

had to add a star.  Asked them to come out to service our AC and also give us a quote on replacing the system.  Originally the quote was pretty high but since we do a lot of business with them they discounted 15% and then he found a few more things to cut the cost.  I still think it could have been done cheaper but I believe in paying for quality and thats what we always get from Lee.  Our AC was about 30 years old, one unit didnt work at all so we really needed to get it done.  They replace EVERYTHING, and there were some things we really didnt need but I allowed it because I wanted the system to be perfect.  They showed up three days later and did the work.  Techs were great.  Very personable and cleaned up everything.  They never stopped working.  The salesman understood we wanted the best for the price.  He sold us the most energy efficient and low price units he could.  He listened to us and didnt try to sell us anything we didnt need.  I admit with a lot of reviewers that they are not cheap but they will work with you to lower cost and in the long run, they stand behind there work and you just have to pay a little extra for that piece of mind.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! All they want to do is sell you a new unit. They first tried to sell me a new unit and when I got a second opinion I was told that all I needed was a AA battery for my thermostat. That was four years ago. My husband decided this year to get the service plan where they come out and inspect everything. We have not even had the air on yet this year because it has not been hot enough and I like the windows open. We had a routine appointment this morning to just check the AC unit for summer. The man looked at the unit outside and said the motor was hot and needed to be replaced or else it could start a fire and then he recommended a new unit as fixing the motor didn't always work. I looked at him at laughed and asked him how the motor was hot when the unit has not even been on all year. I will never call them again and I will be cancelling our yearly maintenance program with them.

I have been a customer of Lee Company for several years. I am getting fed up with having to reschedule appointments every single time I make an appointment. Appointment was 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Got a call they can't make it until 4:00 pm. I said I have to leave @ 4:00, they said 4:00 pm was within the time they had set aside for me so they didn't understand why that wouldn't work. WHAT???? So, now I get to wait another week to be postponed and/or cancelled. What has happened to you Lee Company? You used to be so good.

Warning!!

Do not use this company they will rip you off!

technician Shaun H. came out to my house for my tankless water heater. Gave me a price of 3400 to completely replace it.  I gave the exact model number to the same distributor they use which is Ferguson and I got a price for the unit $1450. dollars.  it's a two hour job so why would they charge me an additional 2000 in labor?  bought the unit myself and gave it to a local plumber he charged me $500 to put it in and I was completely done out the door with a brand new unit the same one as quoted by Sean forthousands less.

Run from this company or they will rob you blind.

Do not do business with this company. They claim to be a christian company, talk about taking the lord's name in vain....
You can get the work you need done, for a fraction of the cost. Lee Co. insists the bank draft plan will save money. Good luck with that. When they called me in November for my fall service, & told me it would be $12,000 for my crawl space, I decided to cancel. That was in February, ( with 3 additional contacts) it is now June, and they continue to charge me.
I never write reviews, but if I can save one person from doing business with these gangsters, I will be successful. It's time for companies to held responsible for their actions.

I used them about 5 years ago to install my HVAC unit.  They did a good job but were on the high side in terms of price.  Recently I had a drain pipe that needed to be rerouted. When I called, they told me they would be able to do it the next day between Noon and 2 and that the technician would call before they came out. I am still waiting on that call! My wife said that I should call them but after waiting around all afternoon forget it.  I have to remind my child about things, I shouldn't have to remind my plumber!

In the process of prepping our home for sale, we needed to have a number of items repaired or replaced. We contacted Lee Company and asked to have an estimate prepared. (We also have a home tune up contract with them in which they visit 4 times a year to perform preventative maintenance; another good service.)

They did, and after consideration, we hired them to do the work. The items ranged from cleaning and repairing the log-fireplace igniter, to replacing the pressure valve on our house water system, to fixing some broken vent tubes....just to show the range of repairs they are qualified to do- heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical.m And they guarantee results!

Their technician, Devin, was polite, efficient, courteous, and congenial. He kept us informed about all the things he was doing (and why) and he did his work in a neat manner.

We are extremely pleased and will very likely hire Lee Company to do the PM and repairs (hopefully few) in our new home as well.

Lee Company used to be a fine company but is slipping. A couple of weeks ago, I saw one of their vans break into a funeral procession. I thought that surely it was a mistake, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Then last week, I saw another Lee Company van parked in front of a house with no street parking, so he used the bike lane.

Any 16-year-old would have more courtesy when driving and parking...

I don't want to hire companies who don't respect people or the neighborhoods in which they work, so I'll no longer be using them.

We have used them for many years - and they used to be a great company. Now it's all about the $$$.  They are not interested in our best interest, only how much we will spend. They will upsale every chance they get & make it sound necessary. They use the cheapest parts available (& charge 3 times the retail price for them). I started buying my own parts for them to do the work b/c I did not want what they were putting in.  I did accidentally learn their service people get product kick-backs when they sell enough of certain items.  How can I ever trust anything they say now?

They schedule the maintenance appointments without consent & if we are unable to oblige them with a day or less notice, they can't fit us back in for weeks, or months for the maintenance visits.

I can't tell you how many times I was told you could do it yourself on their maintenance visits.  My kitchen light is still flickering b/c the last electrician wouldn't even look at it. Can I change the ballast?  Yes.  Do I want to? Isn't that why I pay them?

They take advantage of one's ignorance. They condemned my furnace immediately and quoted over $13k for a replacement... for a cracked igniter that was replaced & the system fully tested for $160 by another servicer.  They told me I needed to replace all 4 toilets in the house...  Not the inside tank kits, not the seals/gaskets... the actual toilets b/c they were old & would begin to leak, at a mere $2400.  What?!

Tried to cancel the remainder of my maintenance contract - at first they would not let us out of it.  They have since agreed.  They tried to make it right, & even that was an awful experience. I have now found another plumber, which costs me 1/3 - 1/2 of what I was paying for Lee's services & seem very trustworthy.  I am on the search for local HVAC & electricians. I will miss that convenience of one-stop shopping.

They do usually show up when they say they will, and are nicely dressed, wear the little shoe booties around the house, friendly, professional... but they are price gougers.

They are not worth what they charge. If they were, I'd still be with them.

Called Lee company to install a new tankless hot water unit giving them two turn off valves to be installed on each side a water filter in front of the unit to prevent scale build up.  They returned the valves and said they had some in place, which it appeared they did.  However, fast forward three months when I'm trying to replace the water filter cartridge and of course they didn't install the valves to isolate the water filter correctly.  So now it is not possible to replace the filter cartridge without water spraying everywhere or turning water off to the house.  I highly suggest finding another company if at all possible.

UPDATE:
Should have learned my lesson the first time but thought I would give them another chance since they did the original installation and sometimes you just get a less experienced technician.  I called them to have them service the tankless water heater they installed because we were experiencing a cold water sandwich after two years of usage.  I asked for a service call on the phone and was told it would be $50 for the trip and $150 for servicing the unit.  The sales rep on the phone then said I could get a yearly maintenance contract for $99 and it would cover the cost the servicing and the trip charge.  So I'm specifically asked him So if I get the maintenance contract, the servicing of the tankless unit is included in that cost and there is no trip charge?  So the whole thing will cost me $99 instead of $200? That is what you are saying?  To which he replied Yes.  So the technician shows up and says the tankless unit looks fine.  I asked him to put the extra valve on (that should have been installed on the initial installation from two years ago).  So when I come home from my day at work, I see a bill for $250.  So not only did they charge me for the $99 maintenance contract, they still charged a $50 trip fee, and then $106 to clean an aerator on a faucet and tighten a faucet.  Of course they won't tell you what it covers (if anything) when they try to sell the plan to you.  Make sure you get what a maintenance plan will cover in writing prior to getting one.

Moreover, we know for a fact that the technician was only here 2.5 hours based the timestamps of our home camera-- and my wife said the tech was on the phone for at least 30 minutes of that time talking to his wife and father (which he readily told her).  Yet he wrote down that he was here for 3.5 hours.  Finally the water pressure was turned up for the house... something that was not discussed with me prior to it being done.  If the problem of the cold water sandwich was the water pressure, then it would have been occurring from the beginning and not appear suddenly two months ago.   Now I'm afraid our water bills will go up as more water is wasted because of this unauthorized adjustment.

This company will flat out lie to you and obviously isn't trustworthy at all.  It has happened to me twice with them.  I don't write bad reviews for companies because sometimes you just get a less experienced tech and you typically get a good one at some point.  But the way this company operates is not upfront or forthright.  Run, run, run to an honest company and don't waste your time with this one.  They may have advertising everywhere but the real truth is in their Yelp rating.  Do NOT waste your time or money with these crooks.  You will regret it.

Our Water Heater went out and made showering with a friend not as much fun.

We called the Lee Company, their representative came and looked at the Water Heater, he called me and said it was shot and I would need to replace it with a new one.  The cost of the new water heater was $1,375.00, I thought this was steep, however to have a reputable company come into my home and assure us that things would go smoothly, I guess this was fair.

After the installation we were told that in 45 minutes we would have hot water, but 2 hours later, still no Hot Water.  We called them back and within an hour a nice gentleman came over around 7:30 PM and found a Bad Breaker that mush have slipped past the installation crew.  Around 9:PM he was finished and assured us that now it was working and we could enjoy Hot Water very soon.

Now I'm not really sure that the Water Heater was Bad or did I just pay $1,375.00 for a new breaker.  Of course now we do have a New 50 Gallon Water Heater with a 6 year warrantee.

Within 36 hours our Hot Water and Showering Pleasure was restored.

After more than 20 yrs. of working with Lee Co., we are calling it quits.  Last week on 2/14/22) 2 of their plumbers came to do some work that involved sawing through drywall in a bedroom to access a shower faucet on the other side.  All of this work was done across a hall from stairs leading to a level below where baseboards were cut to allow for a new bathroom cabinet.  The technicians were wearing paper/fiber booties which evidently picked up the dust from the drywall and baseboards tracking it on both levels of the house including down 13 hardwood steps.  My 68 yr. old husband slipped and fell down those steps Wednesday morning, 2/16/22.  This accident resulted in excruciating pain defined by a TOA surgeon as a torn quad in his left leg.  He had to have surgery the next day, 2/17/22 and is now wearing a hip to ankle hard cast that will be a part of him for 6-8 wks.  His recovery time is approximately 4-6 months.  I called 2/16, the day it happened and spoke with  a supervisor over the plumbing division who said, I'm sorry that happened.  I want Lee Co. and other home improvement companies to realize what can happen when improper cleaning or lack thereof after a job can cause.  I am very upset about this turn of events and will be having further contact with Lee Co.  I have recommended Lee Co. for many years but I have to say those referrals are over.   Needless to say, maintenance/service agreement will be canceled.  Jan C.

I finally have had it and need to alert other people about Lee Co.  About 7 years ago we bought a brand new unit from them for about $5000 with a warranty.  We used Lee for all this time for our regular biannual maintenance check ups. About 2 years ago we were having an issue with the compressor and the tech came out and told us that it was going to be over $800 to fix the problem because our warranty did not cover labor.   I then called for other estimates and was able to get the problem fixed for $150.  I called Lee back and told them that I was furious that they had given me the high estimate and told them what was done to repair it for $150.  They told me that that repair was done the wrong way and was only temporary and I asked them why I was not given that option by their tech and they told me it was because they only did things the right way to prevent future problems.  As a goodwill, they said they would send someone out to replace things properly at no charge if I would continue to use them for maintenance in the future and I obliged.  Two years later, our upper zone was not working.  I called them out to fix it and they sent someone out telling me the zone board and the motherboard would need to be replaced and that they would send someone else out to give me an estimate.  The consultant came out yesterday and told me that we we need to have the motherboard and zone board replaced, this would be about $3000.  He also told me that we should have attic fans installed first for about $1100 to see if this would alleviate the problem before doing the motherboard and zone board.  I said, so you want me to spend $1100 on something that might work?  I also explained to him that our unit had functioned fine for 7 years with no attic fans.  I decided to call for two other estimates from locally owned businesses that had been referred to me.  One estimate was about $500 and he said only the zone board needed to be replaced.  The second AC company said, the zone board is loose and I can fix that and if it goes out it will be about $400 installed to replace the zone board.  So the gentleman tightened up the zone board and the AC is working beautifully.  So here we are once again and Lee has given me outrageous quotes, not fixed the problem and charged me for a service call also.  The other gentleman only charged me for the service call, but fixed the problem!!!!!  For those of you wondering, the guy that helped me was Tim Bennett at All Seasons Comfort LLC and can be reached at 615-948-3977.  He was wonderful, kind and was committed to getting to the root cause of the problem and fixing it on his visit and he was not surprised at all to hear my story.  We will NEVER use Lee Co. again.  Beware if you call them.....you are being WAY overcharged!

I would suggest staying off the phone while driving in Rush hour traffic. I tried to call to let this be known and handle it within your company and instead was directed to a dead end voicemail. the driver was headed east about 345 around the Harding place exit. I'm sure it's no big deal to y'all, but seeing as I have my two little girls in the back seat, IT'S A BIG DEAL. I'd make sure your company is familiar with the new laws going in to effect on July 1st. if this is your professionalism based on a distracted driver playing on his phone, I can't IMAGINE how you do business otherwise.

Lee Company came out this afternoon and gave us an estimate on replacing an attic fan motor. They quoted us more than they charged us a year ago to put in two attic fans. Update:   I wrote this review not recognizing that anyone from Lee Co. would see it. As a parent I am trying to build relationships with companies that I can trust so that I can pass those relationships down to my children and know that they will be taken care of. I have a disease that will likely take me from my children sooner than I want so this is especially important to me that I have these things set up for them. Service Manager Chad called me to talk about what happened on the weekend and I assumed it would be another debate about whether I should have felt the way I did or not, such as the call from June on Saturday. It was not. Chad was super nice and wanted to restore our relationship. He sent Wes, the most amazing tech, out to look at my unit and he had it figured out in less than 30 min. Wes restored my heat and my relationship with Lee Company by lunch. As for now our unit is working. I was shocked that Chad was so caring about the situation with the tech and customer care rep on Saturday but he also seemed to care that we had no heat. I know that there will always be the June's of the world but I can handle that as long as there are the Chad's and Wes' here as well.

Been with this company for years as we have used them to maintain our heating/cooling system. Called them Saturday morning to schedule a service call as our unit is making a noise and Auxillary heat is kicking on and lead to a $700 bill this month. The unit was just serviced a couple of months ago. A very rude June answered my call and I asked her what the cost would be to figure it out and she informed me that it would be $79. When the tech arrives I asked him if there would be tax and he tells me not to write the check yet because there will be a diagnostic fee of up to $130 additional dollars. I asked him to elaborate on this as I was not told about it and he explained it to me and said that there had been several people earlier in the day who were surprised by this charge as well. I told him I could not commit to this additional charge without speaking to my husband and could not reach him at this point so we would not move forward. He made several calls to his boss over the next 20 min but each time he made this call he walked far away from me so that I could not hear the conversation which seemed extremely shady to me. I told him that I felt very mislead concerning what the cost would be and could not commit to pay up to pay $130-$200 before the repair even began without speaking to my husband. The tech and I spoke for about 20 minutes. I think his boss was telling him to try to talk me into it. The tech initially told me that there had been several other customers that morning who were upset about the hidden charge but then later back tracked and said there had only been one. Even if there had been no other customers, I felt mislead and this charge shouldn't have been hidden. I eventually told him to just leave and that I would rather wrap my 7 kids in 10 layers of clothing before allowing a company that I can no longer trust to look at and ultimately repair my system. At this point I wondered if this would be a situation where I am told the problem was something pricey when in fact it wasn't. I called Hiller who charges only $79 - no additional charges to diagnose and give me a quote on the repair. June did call me back and say she was going to make it right but in the same conversation told me that I was not mislead when she told me it would be $79. I also spoke to the manager who was willing to wave the additional fees but at this point I can't trust this company. We are at the mercy of these guys and need to be able to trust the companies that we do business with. I don't mind paying a fair price for a job done well but I will not go for this company telling one fee and then the tech adding fees once he is here as if I am so desperate that I will pay anything to get my unit fixed. I will moving my contract to Hiller which I should have done 2 years ago when they took care of my plumbing. Just want to do business with folks that appreciate their customers and don't want to take advantage of them in order to pile up the all mighty dollar.

Update: Karol, I was not in search of a final price. I was told the cost for the diagnosis would be $79 so that is what I expected to pay. I was not told that was a chance that the fee could be higher based on these things that you have mentioned. Thank you for responding to my review. I have spoken with your manager and he understood clearly why I felt mislead and lost trust for your company. This was not a miscommunication with the tech and he is not to blame for anything here. This is an issue with what is told to customers upon placing a request for service. As far as walking away from customers while speaking with the home office, I think you would be hard pressed to find a consumer who wouldn't be suspicious of this behavior. Thanks again. Deborah

Not only is our dishwasher still broken, but I have the pleasure of witnessing their exemplary driving skills on a daily basis on my drive to work on I-65 NB.

Two months ago, after a recommendation from our property management, I gave Lee Company a call to fix our dishwasher that is constantly backing up. When the technician finally showed up (after getting lost), he worked on it for about an hour. I assumed all was good, but no. I received the service report and was surprised to find that it listed two hours worth of work. I attempted to call their billing department as to correct this prior to receiving an invoice. I never heard back.

A few weeks later, I received a call from someone at Lee Company. Apparently they sent the invoice to the wrong address - repeatedly. I gave them the correct information, questioned the service report and told him our dishwasher was still broken. He told me that the extra hour was for the use of the mini rooter.. that I'm sure is long paid off by now. He told me he could get someone out here the next day and would call me when they had a slot open. It's now been almost three weeks since we spoke and I still haven't heard back.

Honestly, I don't care at this point. Their clear lack of organization, management and skill makes me want to steer clear from this company.. Even on the road.

This morning I saw truck #117 weaving through traffic with no signals. Thanks for that. Then, truck #687 drove an SUV off the road on 65 at 7:25 am. Luckily the SUV had a shoulder to swerve into. I don't think the Lee Company employee even noticed.

Tips:
-Work on communication. It's clearly lacking.
-Get a GPS.
-Hire employees that actually know how to repair things.
-Send them all to drivers' classes.

I have to agree with many others who have become disenchanted with Lee Company. After several years of doing business with Lee Company I'm pulling the plug on them. Over the last couple of years I've noticed that their bi-annual preventative business model has changed. Now, according to their service team, they are expected to up sell customers. One serviceman told me my manager gets upset when we don't finds things to fix, but I'm not like that. I'm not going to tell you to fix something that don't need to be fixed now.
I feel like I'm paying them to come collect extra money every six months!

So, I called Lee Company.  I had purchased a 5th wheel and needed an external plug installed.  I had high hopes for quality service; after all, Bill Lee was just elected governor and I would have thought he would have been on top of what is going on in his companies;  this was unfortunately not the case.  This seemingly uncomplicated process took this company technicians a total of 4 times to get it right.  They put the wrong casing over the plug twice...it was so small I couldn't get the extension cord to even plug in, much less for the casing to be able to close.  Finally, I went to Lowes and got what was needed.  Then they never even connected the ground wire; The trailer repairman found the mistake while he wasn't troubleshooting the trailer wiring...cost me another 360.00 to pay him to come out twice.  Finally, Lee company decided to send out a senior technicion from Franklin, TN to go behind these young technicions and correct the problem; he was knowledgeable and experienced enough to wire a plug.  The company manager here in Murfreesboro, TN knew all about the issue, but didn't offer a discount or even an apology.  I think I should have been reimbursed for having to call out a trailer technicion at 85.00/hour.
The moral of this story is that they evidently hire young, inexperienced techniicions.  I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

The company is like all the others except their Service Plan is a scam.  They schedule the Summer inspection at the end of August.  This makes no sense.  I assume the Winter inspection will be in March or April.  I feel like an idiot for being duped by their salesman ie: technician.

Impossible to get on the phone. Quoted $200 to replace a bathroom fan. Charged $323. Manager said it was a mistake for the tech to quote $200. Said he would refund the balance. NEVER DID. I would NOT recommend Lee Co.

If there were zero stars, I'd give it to them. I signed on to a 5 yr service contract when I bought my 6 yr old house. They come here 4 times a yr and each time they have another service to sell. After 3 yrs, I began getting a second opinion and each time the second provider has not recommended what Lee tried to sell me. They've recommended a new heating and cooling unit for over 3 yrs now.  It still works fine. They are the least trustworthy company I've ever used. Never again

We have used them for several years. But never again. We were told different days that a part would be in and we're pushed to install a new HVAC.   Bottom line, we got another company that came the day we called and installed a new unit for $2000 less.  Had to ask for maintenance to be done on our main home that they usually do in spring.  Have cancelled maintenance contract and going with another company.

I had to have leaking pipes repaired in my crawl space. I called Lee Co and they sent someone out the next day. Received a call from the plumber, Ian, when he was 15 minutes from arrival at my home.  He was very knowledgeable and efficient. He looked at the pipes and took pictures, explaining to me what needed to be done. He explained the cost up front and there were no surprises or add ons. He had both leaks fixed within 90 minutes and then checked to make sure his repairs were working correctly by having me run water through the taps. He was pleasant and courteous. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thanks Ian and Lee Company.

I am sick to my stomach that I was charged $260 for a wax ring. I feel like I was told there was a leak by your hvac guy just to have a plumber come here (for 4 hrs) and tell me there is no leak but my toilet needed to be reset.

He showed me where the drain for my shower needed to be Reattached. Then all of a sudden he's fixing the toilet. Usually, I get an estimate before I authorize any repairs. That did not happen. Also, when I kept telling him that I couldn't afford a great deal of repairs he kept saying I'll take care of you.

I truly feel like I was set up. I could have had my husband change a wax ring!  Very very disappointed with Lee Company after 5+ hyears.

Recently had a very simple problem with the ducting in our home and wanted to get a ball park estimate on repair costs. After nobody on the phone could give me even a rough answer, they sent somebody out to our home to asses the situation. Upon inspection, Mike tells me that he can only give estimates for larger-scale projects - but he can have a technician come out and give me an estimate for $79. What a waste of time. Is it really that hard to give me a breakdown of how you charge for your services, Lee Company?

We have done business with Lee for a few years now. We had them come out and service our unit twice a year. Back around the 1st week of August we had a tech come out to service our unit. He went in the attic and outside the unit. Then went out to his truck and came back to tell me I owned 99 dollars for the service contract. There was no way cause the office normally tells us ahead of time. I had just paid the 99 back in December. He said sorry I cant finish without you paying. I said well let reschedule the service. The office was suppose to call us and here it is Sept and no one has yet to call us. We have gone to another company now cause we needed our unit serviced. Yes I should have called them but he said they would contact me. They need my business I didnt need their business.

OVERCHARGES CUSTOMERS!  I bought to install a new garbage disposal.  When their plumber arrived I asked what the hourly rate was...$160/hr was the answer.  So after only 40 minutes he told me it would be $325.  WHAT I BALKED??? I thought I was on your annual plan....then he dropped the charge to $290.
After a week this disposal was too loud so I bought a quieter model & had JOSLIN PLUMBING  do the new install for only $150.
RESULTS- I OVERPAID BY $140 by using LEE COMPANY!!
DON'T USE LEE COMPANY FOR YOUR HOME SERVICES!  THEY OVERCHARGE YOU!!!

I am a service contract customer. Which means I pay in advance a fee yearly for them to do bi-annual inspections. This past October 2017 bi-annual inspection the technician informed that the condensation pump needed to be replaced due to the nozzle that the drain hose connects to was broken. I found this to be a coincidence, due to it was just fine 6 months earlier and no one had been in my crawl space since the earlier 6 month inspection. I went ahead and had the pump replaced to a tune of $225. At the time that the technician was replacing the pump he told me that they need to add a shut down switch. The switch would shut off my HVAC if the pump stop working to prevent water draining into my crawl space. This meant that I would not be able to turn on my heat or a/c due to power is cut off to my HVAC system. I asked for them to not install the switch, but the technician informed that the switch needed to be added due to regulatory reasons.
Move forward to 12/31/2017, woke up at 5am with house freezing cold and no power to my HVAC thermostat. Could not turn on/off or adjust temperature due to thermostat had no power. It was 12 degrees outside that morning. Called Lee Company to have a technician come out. Mid morning the HVAC started working again. After realizing that the condensation pump drain was probably frozen and had thawed out, I cancelled the service called so to not pay for a weekend service call fee.
Move forward  to 10pm 12/31/17, HVAC shuts down again. Temperatures outside is 10 degrees. Call Lee Company to schedule service call. Was told that they would not be able to get to my house until 4am to 5am. They told me to call in the morning to set up a service call for 1/1/18. Called the morning of January 1st and set up a service call.
Move forward a half an hour later, received a call from Lee Company telling me that they would not be able to come to my home today, due to limited service technicians available.
At this point I am very unhappy, I pay a yearly service fee and every time Lee Company does a bi-annual inspection the technician finds something that they recommend that is in need replacement or fixed. I replace the condensation pump that in my opinion I felt they broke, since they were the only ones that had been in my crawl space or have been around my HVAC system. Was told I needed the shut down switch when condensation pump was replaced and now due to Lee Company technician forcing me to have the shut off switch installed due to regulatory reasons, I am with out heat in my home. And to make things worse Lee Company refuses to make a service call to my home today, due to technician availablilty.
Why pay for a service contact in advance if Lee Company will not make a service call when an emergency arrises, with temperature outside this morning at 4 degrees.
I am going to cancel my service contract with Lee Company and request my money back as well as report Lee Company to the Better Business Bureau.
Not impressed with this company what so ever. They promote fast-caring service, but come to find that they only want your money up front and every time they due a bi-annual maintenances inspection they try to sell you something. They don't care about their service contract customers what so ever. It all about what the get you to buy and spend more money!!!
After this experience I would not recommend Lee Company

I hate I have to make this review, as I've heard good things about Bill Lee, I met him, and I even voted for him, and used to highly recommend his company, but it's time.

It's very sad to see how this company has gone down hill over the years. When I say downhill, I mean they're probably not hurting in profitability in any sense of the word, but I feel are taking advantage of or even exploiting their customers. I own multiple properties and have been a LEE Company member for six years.

What used to be a helpful, informative and honest appointment has now turned into constant up-selling, scare tactics, and exorbitant fees.

I recently called them for a faucet replacement. $400 was the cost (with a faucet) and that was after my 20% member discount. So $500 faucet replacement for non members. Instead I bought a very nice Moen faucet, lifetime warranty, and had another company put it in for $75 plus $125 for the faucet. If you're not a member don't say you haven't been warned about their cost.

It's been shared with me that each truck you see on the road requires the driver to earn $250,000 a year in sales. I've been advised to replace HVAC units that have many many years left and are in fact working flawlessly after the subtle suggested replacement. Every time they come out anymore I have to squint, waiting for their recommendations.

LEE also outsourced their local after hours help line to a call center. My last call to them left me with little confidence in who would be handling my concern, conveying it properly and it's resolution. Hate to see this with a local company.

I recently had LEE out for a toilet leak on a toilet they installed. The man came out, determined it was a bad washer, replaced it in 15 minutes and wanted to charge me $100 or something, don't exactly recall, but as I just paid for their installation. I said I was going to have to speak to a manager or customer service about it, as they were the ones who just installed it. He threw his hand up in my face and mumbled something under his breath and stormed away. How's that for customer service!

As a member, LEE company will come out twice a year to clean, service, and inspect your HVAC unit. This is their opportunity to sell you, and they've begun selling hard the last few years. I have multiple properties, and after scheduling my appointments and informing the tenants they would be out, LEE Company just never showed up for either the spring or fall HVAC appointment. I didn't find this out until later. This fall they did the same thing. Fortunately I called ahead of time to confirm, at which time they told me they cancelled the appointments without speaking to me. So for 18 months straight, LEE company cancelled the three service appointments I had been paying for with their monthly member fee. When I first found this out they did credit me back the years worth of fees which was the right thing to do, and they handled it satisfactorily and professionally and expediently. This last time I requested a manager call me, as this was the second year of this happening, but they never did.

My other issue with LEE, is the HVAC guys will come out after I've had my unit cleaned by them, and they must not check their notes, because as they go into their sales pitch they go one about how filthy the unit was, I'm like, if it's so bad, maybe I shouldn't be paying you all to come out and clean it twice a year, youre obviously not doing a very good job of it!

Now the good. I've had them out and they've done after hours HVAC to get heat running which was great, had the part on the truck. They've done some other work for me as well. Faucet stems, a bit pricey, some pump grinder work I was happy with and reasonable, and in fact I did end up replacing an HVAC unit this year that they recommended I replace a few years ago. I went with LEE only after multiple bids, because they were able to give me the best price on a Trane unit (they have huge pricing flexibility being a a big distributor). I was going to go in another direction, but the salesman asked what I was getting, and how much. I told them what I was buying and going elsewhere and he beat it, and with a better unit, so hats off to them on that one. Even my other contractor said you got a good deal.

My final is this: LEE company defiantly has their place. They're not what they used to be, sadly, but they can get you out of a bind, but you'll more often than not pay for it. I still use them, but have found another plumbing and HVAC company and electrician to direct much more of my work to than I used to.

Came out, did nothing twice.  Signed me up for a service plan so I could get a discount on the work.  Won't return calls, waste of time and money.  Cancelled service plan, no call??   Called Roto-rooter, fixed in 3 hours.  Done!  Never talk to anyone at Lee but a call service??

I scheduled an appointment to check our dryer which stopped heating.  On  July 27th an appointment was scheduled for Wed Aug 1st, of course they couldn't give me a time for when they would come out but as I informed the scheduler I work from home so it wouldn't matter when they show up.

On today they called at 9:15 am, I was on a call at that time but returned their call at 9:20 am just 5 minutes later.  I was informed that they had a technician that could come out later today but because I didn't answer just 5 minutes earlier I would now be scheduled on August the 7th!  Are you kidding me after waiting for 7 days you expect me to wait another 7 days!  I will never call them for anything again.....

We received excellent service from Lee Company.  Our AC unit quit working in the night before Memorial Day.  We called Lee Company and was told they could send a service rep out in the am. Actually, they told us that they could send a rep out that night, but we said the morning was fine.  Brendan called us around 8am and came over to fix our unit.  He was very polite and knowledgeable.  He was able to get our unit working like brand new!  He also provided good education on what we need to do going forward for maintenance. I have always had positive experiences and have received quality services from Lee Company.  They put in an attic access for me a while back and a few outlets around my house.  I will continue to use them for projects around my house!

I called to have my 5 year old water heater repaired. I was told there would be a special $29 service call to check the unit out to see what was wrong. When they arrived I was told it would be $146 to check to see what was wrong. I asked what a new unit would cost and was told $3000. Very deceptive. Paid the $29 and moved on.

We had a Noritz N-084M with an error 98- which is a combustion error- basically Gas of Fan issues; this is a large Tankless rated for 5+ bathroom homes.  While i'm a high functioning DIY'r- these types of repairs (involving Gas) are best left to Plumbers.  My experience with most Electricians and Plumbers over the last 10 years has not been good- ridiculous pricing reflecting a disconnect from reality and common sense- AND most are so incompetent- one plumber quoted $400 to replace a pressure reduction valve- a $20 part and a 15 min repair.

Now we had a pretty good idea of what the repair would be- which most plumbers don't like - but the Lee Technician that showed up- John (their tankless guy) was great.

Low key but very knowledgable- which makes you forgive his lack of responsiveness with respect to time; he was about 3 hours late ;)-  but actually that gave us time (my tenant and i) to pull apart the unit and start in on some of the work- he showed up- took a look at what we had done (made sure we didn't make any egregious errors)- he took over and finished up- spotted a small leak that had caused corrosion in one of the electrical harnesses.  He cut the harness and direct wired it.

His work was excellent, his demeanor should be a training video for all in home subcontract technicians (great ability to read the room), he was respectful and informative and a general pleasure to be around- the entire visit was probably around 3 hours- although, i left after about 90 min.  He let himself out and my tenants didn't even know that he had left.

I got the bill a couple of days later and thought it was very reasonable- in-fact - he probably under charged and over delivered....  how often do you hear that !

we've built several homes over the years and are not the typical call for most of these types of contractors- i have been reticent to call a company the size of Lee- as it is hard to maintain quality when a company grows past a certain head count- my hats off to Lee- we will definitely put them at the top of our call list when we do our next reno in the spring

thanks so much !!

Buyer beware!  When we signed up for the service contract years and years ago, Lee Co was great for keeping appointments, did excellent work, and gave reasonable recommendations.  Now, unless it is an emergency, most appointments are rescheduled at least once.  Last year was really bad for our yearly AC check.  I scheduled in April, then they rescheduled to May, then they rescheduled to July, tech didn't show in the window provided, called to see next available and heard October.  So we skipped it...I mean October is when we should be getting the furnace checked, not the AC.  So called this year...same scenario starting in May this time, 2 rescheduled windows, then a no show.  Needed water heater changed...same scenario.  And that's their priority service for contract holders.  But that isn't  the only reason to be cautious.  Every time they come, they recommend seriously high dollar fixes.  And while the salesmen seem to be knowledgeable and personable to start with, they end up being somewhat passive aggressive and using hard-sell fear tactics.  So I've started asking for 2nd opinions from other companies (at my expense) on their high dollar recommendations.  Examples:  A couple years ago I was told that our AC coil was bad, leaking,  and we needed a new AC immediately or we would be scorching any minute... sign the work order and we can have someone here this week, I can only guarantee this week if you sign it now, and you're living dangerously not signing today, it could die any minute and we probably won't have a crew available, but I understand that may not be as important as giving it some time to think about...this after only 5.5 years on the current AC.    All for the bargain price of 8500.00 (with our 20% discount) .   It COULD happen for sure, but at that amount I really needed another estimate. I called another company and they found nothing wrong.  At all.  Searched and searched for the leak but found none.  And the now 8 year old AC is still running quiet, cold and efficient 2 years later.  And then there was the toilet that needed to be removed to fix the drain last year.   $850.  Called another company and they said, again, it was not needed and had the drain fixed in an hour.  It's like I'm dealing with bad used car salesmen instead of paying for a service.  Oh, and let's not forget the rewiring one room that was required after one of their inspections about 3.5 years ago, for a whopping over $23,000, or it could be an imminent fire hazard.  Yep...again not needed.  There was a gfci outlet that just went bad (which apparently happens)...a less than $100 fix even with a service call.  I mentioned all of these at different times to Lee's managers over the separate departments (HVAC, Plumbing, and electrical), but nothing changed.  Things were either honestly missed, or I simply misunderstood the recommendations, or they were being extremely cautious since safety was the most important factor.  All implied (very nicely) I was wrong each time in questioning their recommendations.  Their teams were never wrong for giving me incorrect information.  Between the constant appointment misses and rescheduling, over-selling and upselling, and me having to check with other service companies on their recommendations after being scared out of my wits by their sales crews, it just didn't make sense to stay with them.  I typically only do nice reviews because there are enough bad ones out there, but this time it needed doing.  Lee has changed in the last few years and it's a shame.  At one time they were the best and I didn't mind paying the premium prices.  Not so anymore.

Lee Company used to be well run.  No one showed up for my scheduled appointment this morning, nor did I receive a phone call that they were running late.  I was on hold for over 52 minutes on the phone line before someone answered me on the chat line.  (The phone line was never answered.) They then told me that a technician would be arriving 30 - 45 minutes from now. So, problems with customer service and the dispatch department.  It also took a long time before I could even get a maintenance appointment. Time to find a new, less frustrating company to work with.

Had Lee Company for the past 7 years, since moving back to Nashville.  We set up a yearly maintenance contract.  It has been over 1 year since we heard from them to come and do the maintenance even though they have been charging us the maintenance fee--when I called I was informed that it is the customer's responsibility to call and schedule.  This means they have been collected yearly contract fees from customers without services. I am sure we were not the only ones duped into this maintenance fee contract fraud.  Let the buyer beware!

Have a plumbing issue in my basement that is causing water to back up called Lee company after they were recommended to me and I briefly described the issue was told they would have someone out and there is a $49 charge then they would find the problem give me and estimate and make the repairs that day ... So I made my appt for today (sat) so I could be here  sense they won't give an actual time (which I understand is hard to give) the lady told me that  they work until they are done well the tech came out looked at it said he can't give an estimate would have his project manager come out and give the estimate  which he tried to get out of twice clearly didn't want to come out and then we we said forget it then he want to start trying to quote # over the phone so yeah won't be using them again thanks for nothing

I really like these people but they are impossible to work with. I had a water line on a refrigerator that leaked and got into our floor and pooled in the crawl space. I called Lee Company several times with no call back. I wrote an email with no response. I finally got a hold of an owner who was real nice. He sent a rep and we got a call from a customer service person who was wonderful. I thought problem solved. A rep came out and moved our refrigerator and set up equipment to dry out our floors. Then he disappeared. Now we are weeks later with the refrigerator still in the middle of our kitchen and no call back to repair the floor. I have no idea if they have even been paid by our insurance company. If there is a purgatory we are in it.

We have been using Lee Company off and on for the last couple of years since becoming home owners and trust their work fully! We have been thrilled with all the services performed, which have included running a gas line into our kitchen, installing plumbing for our dishwasher (both which carried a warranty for the work, by the way), servicing 2x a year our heater and A/C to check for issues prior to the start of using them for the season, and most recently a 911 heating emergency (our heater fan went out on an 8* day).

They are very responsive and the work they do is excellent quality. I would highly recommend them!

This is not good.  I've been a LONG TIME CUSTOMER and MEMBER for 5 years.  Something has changed with this company.  I started asking for repair work 9 days ago.  It took 2 whole days to schedule a reasonable work in time that wasn't between 1am and 4am.  Then, when they finally came, it was apparent that we needed a new furnace and A/C unit.  That was scheduled for Monday.  $11,000 job.  All day long install - no heat.  Then, get the heat going by 6pm.  Everything was running fine until the low voltage power wasn't connecting to the thermostat.  Call for repairs.  Have to work me in again at 3am.  Not realistic.  We ask to be put on the work in for today.  No call.  Call back to see the update.  They can't give me an update.  Still waiting for a work in on a repair that Lee Company did and I get no priority.  Spent $11k and their mistake.  No priority fix.  This is ridiculous.  Almost all people on the phones in scheduling seem to not really care - except one person today seemed have empathy and said she would see what she can do.  Still waiting....

It was the middle of the work week when our upstairs HVAC system went out. My wife and I wanted a reputable company to come by and access the problem so we chose Lee Company. The tech arrived and checked the unit. I was informed that the compressor was broken and that the coils were rusted  out. He advised me that the unit will need to be replaced. The new unit would cost between $8000 to $12000. I paid the assessment fee. The tech advised that he would have a finance specialist to come by the next day. Instead of having the finance person come by we had a second opinion from someone else. During their assessment they found that the compressor and the coils were fine. He advised my wife and myself what the issue was. It was the start compacitor. He had the part needed in his truck, replaced it, fixed it and had our HVAC back working in no time. I'm disappointed in Lee Company's representative being untrustworthy and preying on folks in the community during these trying times. Lee Company gets a 0 star rating in my book!!

They came through for me two separate times. Once I was desperate in the middle of the night because of being in a wheelchair and my toilet was clogged with too much paper. I couldn't believe how quickly they responded & that they were actually available in the middle of the night!  And they didn't rip me off financially. The plumber they sent was extremely professional and appropriately friendly.
The second time I had a clogged bathroom sink and tub drain. Again, they sent an extremely cordial ' helpful plumber immediately and charged me a very reasonable price. I was so happy with their service, that I purchased a home maintenance prevention program they have for only eight dollars a month. I will definitely use them again for any type of problem. After using them for plumbing I realized that they handle any kind of home emergency so it's good to know that there is someone I can call anytime day or night.

Not one, but on two separate occasions I took off work to meet the technician.  The first time, there was no record of an appointment on their books.  Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I took off the morning of the next business day to meet the technician at 8am.  I received a call at 8am that they would not be here until closer to 9am.
I am not able to take off work repeatedly to sit and wait for their technicians.  A call center manager heard my issues, was very polite, however I was not willing to take off yet again to let them try and fix the issue.

We used this company many times previously, but we are now done forever. They have questionable business practices. Very disappointing. We were overcharged while getting terrible service and below average customer service. Their upselling is ridiculous. What a rip-off!

We needed a new electrical box in our rental house, and Lee Company gave us the first estimate we received. To their credit, they put a rush on checking out our electrical issue and came out very quickly after we called them because we were concerned about this being a safety issue with our tenants. Their estimate was almost three times what we were later quoted. It's difficult not to look at their business as somewhat of a scam after that sort of a discrepancy. They tried to charge us an exorbitant amount of money for a job we weren't too informed about, but after having other licensed electricians give us estimates, and doing a little research about what the job actually entailed, we realized that Lee Company was severely overcharging us because we appeared desperate and I'll-informed. I can't comment on the quality of their work because we chose not to have them work on our house in the end, but I can tell you that I will never trust them again to offer reasonable and honest prices for parts and labor no matter what the job may be. If I could rate them lower than one star, I most certainly would do that.

Had Lee Company install a smart thermostat for us, based on recommendations from others in the neighborhood.

When I had a few questions before scheduling, the dispatcher/scheduler offered to get a tech on the phone for me to talk with. When one wasn't immediately available, said she'd call me back when a tech could talk, and they actually did call back timely. The tech offered clear helpful advice.

Scheduled service, and tech showed up at the arranged time. Friendly, very knowledgeable, did an excellent job. He even made sure the site was completely cleaned up before finishing.

No surprises, the price was as quoted, and the work was exactly as expected.

Would not hesitate to recommend, and will certainly be calling them again.

Avoid this carnival of thieves! Abbott and Costello routine between hvac and plumbing, both from Lee Co. They tried in vain to charge additional $308 with 10% discord discount over and above the agreed upon rate of  $128 verified at time of work. Just laughable, their efforts to upcharge. Stay away!

This company is unconditionally the top tier in HVAC and Plumbing. I had them out recently and they delivered. Their techs are always knowledgeable and friendly. And they just seem more personable than other companies. Just this last visit their plumbing tech helped me understand something that I struggled with before and recommended some things that i never knew i needed but now i can't live without! i am so happy with their overall respect for my time and technicians. And i know they are a great community minded company. If i need those services anyway, why not use a company that is reputable and involved in the community! Highly recommend Lee Company!

Buyer beware. they offer great discounts with annual inspection agreements; however rhe techs are trained to find issues that you then have to pay to have fixed. most folks call this up-selling

Incredibly difficult to reach!  Quote was high enough but thought it would be ok since they're a big company, but that's not the case! They diagnosed the issue correctly for the quote but charged me almost 3 times more for the actual repair. Honestly feel like this was a massive bait & switch. Very disappointing but there's nothing that can be done! They just stole my money. Please use another company if your able for your own sake!

We have spent almost $2,000 over seven months and not had the problem fixed.  Our first call to Lee Plumbing was for a small drip in the shower.  They replaced a cartridge and all was good.  They talked us into a yearly plan for $99.  This proved to be a mistake as every time they come out they seem to find a problem.  Our kitchen sink water runs hot and then ice cold and back to hot.  They supposedly made our tankless hot water heater like new which did not solve the problem.  Then they replaced our kitchen faucet.  Then they changed out a cartridge from the guest bathroom, and while they were here decided they didn't like the way their former technician had replaced a cartridge in the other bathroom and replaced it for free.  Later that night we noticed clanking sounds in the bathroom, and Lee came out and said our shower valve had gone bad.  In fairness, they did replace it for free because it was fine until they got in there and messed with it.  Every time someone comes out it is a different person.  It is not only inconvenient for us to be here, but the issue with the hot/cold water has not been resolved.  Also, they removed our flow constrictors without asking us, and now they cannot be replaced.  The last straw was when the plumber was here and said he did not know how to turn up our hot water...The employee before him had lowered it from 130 to 125 and we wanted it raised back to 130.  Seriously???  Sorry Lee, but our business is going elsewhere because we have lost trust in you.

Arrogant incompetent staff with no demonstrable ability to communicate with each other. Premium prices, which are meant to suggest premium service. Some okay experiences, but generally bumbling, behind -schedule workers who can't articulate what they're doing. Always trying to SELL one more thing or service, slow to address problem at hand. NEVER ON TIME.
