I read numerous positive reviews on Thumbtack regarding water softener repairs by this outfit, and I'm VERY pleased to say Waterfoul Plumbing did not disappoint! Corey was very professional, very courteous, and corrected our issue. Because our softener is 20+ years old, I figured we would have to purchase a new one, however, Corey indicated the unit was fine but just needed a new part. He corrected our issue within an hour. He's also very reasonable in terms of price. Waterfoul is now our go-to for all of our plumbing needs. Thanks, Corey!

We recently moved into a house and this was our first time hiring a plumber. That being said, it was daunting to decide who we wanted to go with. Jay from Norman's Home Improvements made the decision easier for us, as he was thoughtful and willing to discuss our possible plumbing issues right away, before even booking an appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Norman's to anyone who was looking for assistance. Our experience was a good one, and our issue was resolved with one visit. The total cost was especially reasonable, and we feel we learned a lot in the process - it is always a great thing when someone is willing to explain things to you and answer questions, versus just completing the job.
I reached out to numerous plumbers and companies, but Jay's response stood out right away. While most people were happy to give me a (fairly high) ballpark quote which left me wondering if I would be taken advantage of for my lack of plumbing knowledge, Jay was happy to discuss the possibilities of why our kitchen sink had stopped working for no apparent reason ahead of time, before even booking an appointment. He was able to come take a look at our sink just a couple of days later, on a Friday evening. He spent some time discussing the plumbing of our house with us in general, which was extremely helpful as we only moved a few weeks ago. He was happy to answer questions and make sure we understood things, which we really appreciated. He was professional and explained the cost ahead of time after diagnosing the issue and prior to completing additional work beyond the base service fee for the visit.
Norman's Home Improvements was a good first experience for us, and I would gladly hire them in the future for additional work. In addition to plumbing, they also do work on electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. We would highly recommend Norman's and we especially appreciated the willingness to not only perform the work but explain the process to us as well.

Our kitchen sink was leaking, and when I closed the shut-off valves under the sink, they leaked, too. I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. Dan was very friendly and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with the results and would gladly hire him again.

Chris was more than accommodating as he made room in his schedule to fit us in - and replace a leaking water heater. We were highly satisfied with his work, his willingness to explain the functionality of the water heater but also our water softener, and he was very price competitive with our vendors we called.
We most assuredly would call him back for any indoor plumbing problem.

Drains R Us saved the day. I was having sewer issues, they went out of their way to make room in their schedule and take care of me. They really know their stuff. I've worked with a lot of plumbers over the years, and these guys are the best. They were on-time, professional, and left everything clean, even after pulling horrific sludge from my sewer pipes. If you need a plumber that is going to get it right, call these guys. I've saved their number in my phone and put their magnet on my fridge.

Went to speak with owner about plumbing work. No call no show twice.
I wouldn't recommend this time wasting company.

I called Ben to unclog my bathroom drain. He arrived around 9:30 a.m. He told me it was clogged in the sewer line and he would have to snake it. He started snaking the sewer drain. After a couple hours I asked him how it was going, and he said it was bad but he thought he could get it. I checked on him every couple hours after that and he said he thought he could clear the clog. At around 5 or 6 o'clock he told me he thought the sewer pipe was BROKEN outside the house and he wouldn't be able to fix it today. He gave me a 5 THOUSAND DOLLAR QUOTE!!!!! to fix the sewer pipe. So, I asked how much I owed him for the day, and he charged me $850 and didn't accomplish anything. He was also on his cellphone about 90% of the time. The next day I had Roto Rooter come in and they cleared my CLOGGED sewer pipe by the end of the day. The sewer pipe was never broken. I would never have or recommend flow rite do any plumbing in my house.

Our shower broke Sunday afternoon, we called and they even worked with us to try to not get the weekend rate. You can tell they care about their costumers.
When it came time for the appointment, we recieved noticed that our technician was in route. John made sure i understood everything we should be looking at and was very knowledgeable about common issues. He explained everything with the invoice and when the problem was different than expected, let me know, and adjusted the bill as necessary.
Would definitely work with again!

We are currently in the middle of a quoted 4 day jon for a foundation and basement repair with Ihn Company. I may update this review once the job is done, but thus far I'm VERY disappointed in the service we've received. Our job: drain tile install, sump pump install and bracing of walls in our basement. Quite a pricy job. For the amount of money we are paying we are getting horrid services.
In the 4 weeks leading up to the job we had to call twice to confirm date and time as well as get information of what needed to be moved in the basement before work began. Arrival on day one was scheduled between 8 and 8:30 and the crew arrived around 9:15 am with no call. My husband was stuck waiting for them to show them to the basement as well as give them a key to the house and show them where the lock box was. I do have to say, it looked like good progress on day one.
Day two: No call, no show. No additional work done and materials were in the exact same spot as the previous day. I left a message after hours on their general voice mail asking for a call back first thing in the AM (it's now 10 am and I've yet to hear a peep out of them).
Day three: Call from the crew. The code to the lock box doesn't work. Oh wait, we wrote it down wrong. Apparently work continues.
Meanwhine, we have a newborn at home and were hoping this job would be done in 4 days because she's going to be home Thursday and Friday. Dust and noise don't mix well with babies, so if this job gets dragged out I'm going to be FUMING mad.
Further updates to come, but I have absolutely no faith in this company and the lackluster communication thus far as done nothing but frustrate and upset both my husband and me. At this point I would definitely not recommend them. I would have happily spent a little more money to get better service and great communication.

We just purchased our first home and are so glad we found Dale to help us out. From the leaky faucet upstairs, to the downpour of a leak in the shower, to the garbage disposal he was so very helpful. Dale fixed the leaky faucet, gave us advice for how to re-caulk the tub, and he re-installed the garbage disposal the proper way with the proper configuration of the pipes.
So glad to have used their services and will do so again and again (though hopefully we do not need them!)

I had a difficult leak in my tub faucet. My cartridge was obsolete and could not be accessed easily. They continued to work the problem and eventually found a solution without having to tear out the wall. Very thankful for their not give up attitude!

Left me with a broken pipe and wanted to charge me over 2000 dollars for work to fix it

Pipe Master came to unplug our slow toilet (31 January 2018). They could not and instead replaced the toilet with a new one. For this and some minor stuff we were charged $870.38. In December 2018, we called Pipe Master back because the toilet was leaking. Although this was less than a year from installation, we were charged $174.24. Now, in April 2019, four months later, the toilet is leaking again. Now Pipe Master has refused to answer my phone calls (three voice mail messages) and an email. We feel we are being cheated. We will contact a trustworthy plumber this time.

Requested a bid on a major remodeling project. Estimator was grumpy and seemed a little confused. He took some measurements, complained about a heat duct (which we told him we would take care of), and informed us that we would receive an estimate in two weeks. It has been several months and we have received neither a bid nor the basic courtesy of a no bid response. Give these guys a pass and go with the smaller local firms unless you are a multi-millionaire.

Updating my previous review, which, mostly, commented that they were expensive. I'm adding incompetent and indifferent to their downsides.
So after my $500 3-foot electrical outlet move and conversion (replacing a stove plug with a dryer plug), the dryer people came back to finish install the dryer. THEY INFORMED ME THAT ROMAN HAD INSTALLED A STOVE/RANGE PLUG AND THEY COULD NOT INSTALL THE DRYER.
I told them this was a dryer install. The new dryer was sitting there, next to the plug install (the Roman electricians even checked it to make sure they had the right amp breaker) with the DRYER plug sitting there. (I should have checked before they left---it never occurred to me that they would install the wrong plug.)
So I called Roman; they admitted no error, and said a electrician would be by in (this was Friday, they said Monday earliest---had been dryerless for a week) two days to take a look. Would not commit to sooner or guarantee no charge for the correction.
So I finally gave up and hired an electrician (from Nelco Electric, I'll do a more positive of them review later) who was out within two hours, changed the plug and properly sleeved the electrical wire to the outlet.
The Nelco electrician, while reluctant to throw his union brothers under the bus, that he, probably, could have done a proper complete install for $250-$300. (He only charged me $200 for the emergency visit.)
So Roman has $500 of my money, for shoddy, incorrect, work, and I'm out $700 for a range to dryer plug conversion.
I highly recommend you avoid this, incompetent, expensive, and indifferent company.

I should have checked his work before he left. He was less than reliable, thorough or trustworthy. When he arrived he asked what I needed done today? I said the the upstairs bathroom overflow tube and leaking valves for outdoor spigots. I also asked if he had time to check out 2 outdoor spigots because their separate from the leaking valves in basement. He said yes to adding the outdoor spigots and started with the basement valves then spigots. He had to make a part run for a spigot which required more time than he allotted for the tasks. As he was leaving I asked if he already finished the bathroom, he said I don't have that on my work order that's why he was there and he lied about it!. I mentioned he was here for the tub because I need it fixed before tenants move in.
It's okay to make a mistake but not cover it with a lie.
A few days later I went to use the spigot and noticed immediately the ground was saturated because it was still leaking. I then went to the other spigot he replaced and when I opened the valve I noticed he didn't secured it to my house, so every time I use that loose spigot I'm reminded of his poor quality work. Someone else showed up 10 days later to fix my priority tub problem and he corrected the spigot.
Check out my review of the next project Quick fix attempted. I'll post a youtube video of what I had to do to fix it.
