Best Gas Water Heater Repair in Milwaukee WI
I read numerous positive reviews on Thumbtack regarding water softener repairs by this outfit, and I'm VERY pleased to say Waterfoul Plumbing did not disappoint! Corey was very professional, very courteous, and corrected our issue. Because our softener is 20+ years old, I figured we would have to purchase a new one, however, Corey indicated the unit was fine but just needed a new part. He corrected our issue within an hour. He's also very reasonable in terms of price. Waterfoul is now our go-to for all of our plumbing needs. Thanks, Corey!

Very professional, clean, and quick, no hidden charges, same day service, reasonable rates, honest opinion and offered suggestions on how to save costs. He had all necessary materials with him. I would highly recommend his service especially in an emergency.

Jason is reliable and knows his stuff. Hooked up water to my new fridge. Used him before and will continue to use him when needed.

Drains R Us saved the day. I was having sewer issues, they went out of their way to make room in their schedule and take care of me. They really know their stuff. I've worked with a lot of plumbers over the years, and these guys are the best. They were on-time, professional, and left everything clean, even after pulling horrific sludge from my sewer pipes. If you need a plumber that is going to get it right, call these guys. I've saved their number in my phone and put their magnet on my fridge.

Your technicians don't just come in and throw the job together they investigate why the problem exists and provide you with preventive measures.

Scott did an excellent job installing my new A/C. I also had Horsch & Miller install a new hot water heater in my home and again another excellent job. They are do a very through job and are reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them!

Awful communication, awful owner who will verbally berate you on an ego trip.
Had this company replace my drain tile and sump pump in November of 2022.
At the time of completion, work was sloppy and rushed (the actual workers themselves are all sub contracted and will cut corners). Our drywall was smashed out where they said they could go underneath and told me that wasn't their problem and left an exposed open pvc pipe running to the outside, providing a highway for air and bugs to enter my home. This was remedied after many weeks of unresponsiveness.
The cherry on top is that, at the first rain we received in late winter, I realized that the sump pump they installed wasn't able to keep up with the water flowing into my crock. Had I not been home with an extra submersible pump, my basement would have flooded. I later come to find out that this sump pump they installed was a smaller one that I had originally in my crock!
I attempted to contact IHN numerous times over the span of 3 months. The woman at the desk plays the useful fool and will give you a runaround about how she will relay your message to the work crews, but that won't happen unless you hound them! I never received a call or email from IHN that I did not initiate (except when they wrongly accused me of not paying when they simply deposited my check into one of their different accounts due to their own incompetence).
Eventually after three months I was able to speak to the owner, Jim, who was nothing short of a senile asshole. His own employee at the front desk even said, I dont want to put you through to him because he is cranky on multiple occasions, what a way to run your business. He berated me and shouted me down for 10 minutes on the phone, refusing to address a single thing I brought up, on the basis of I did the work 6 months ago. He then hung up on me. All I wanted was to have the original size sump pump I had before the work installed.
This company will not stand behind their work. They have been involved in our 50 lawsuits over the past decade. This is just standard operating procedure for them. The owner is a despicable cowardly man who cannot tolerate the slightest request to make work right. No wonder they're so involved with the legal system. Avoid if possible.

After finding Chris' price to be easily less than other plumbers, he contacted me and very easily and quickly set up a date to replace our water heater. I had many questions, which Chris didn't mind, and he answered them all. Very professional , quality work. He even advised me that the prior water heater was improperly installed, and why. I will not hesitate to call Urban Plumbing again and would highly recommend Chris to anyone needing a good, honest plumber.

Five stars for this company. I've been using them for a year now and each time it's really great. They are so responsive, professional, neat and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate the communication from the office staff! Highly recommend Milestone.

Had a back up in our garage sink, which was the lowest pipe in the house. Of course this happened 2days before Thanksgiving! So all of our plumbing was backed up. We called in the morning and by one Vince was at our house as he promised. He explained the problem and the cost(which was reasonable) and went to work. He ran a line through almost our whole house. Then he told us to put drain cleaner in our sink monthly(he could have skipped this). Turns out that the pipe that runs from our house to the street is on a mild slope so everything gathers and when it's cold it blocks everything up. Nice guy, cleaned up after himself, and worked professionally. What a relief to have found him. I always expect the worst when I have an emergency situation but this was a relief! I recommend him and his dudes.

Today is Wednesday night. We had been without a water heater since early Saturday. 2 friends of the family had looked at it and couldn't find the problem. It was time to call a professional. My fiance scheduled an appointment with a heating and cooling company that said they could fix the problem. They came out at 1pm and basically said, Sorry you need to call a plumber. She was frustrated. She had explained over the phone what the problem was...why did they schedule the appointment? So I think fast from work. I look up Water Heater Repair on Yelp in the Milwaukee area. 3 companies come up which are all actually one company. Cudahy Plumbing, Service Now, and B. Bohmann Plumbing. All three companies are part of the Bohmann Plumbing Company.
I call and get through right away to B. Bohmann himself. He can get someone out to our house today. Just needs my fiance to call him with some info from the water heater. She does that and is told someone will be out by 4pm. There is a charge for the home service call and also a separate charge for the diagnostic tests they will run on the water heater. Ok fine. We just want it fixed.
The technician shows up on time and runs the tests. My fiance is told that we have a faulty gas valve and it will cost 400 and some odd dollars to replace...but...he doesn't have one and we will have to wait till tomorrow. (Their website says, Stocked Service Vehicles - Our rolling shop comes to your home fully stocked and equipped to perform the needed repairs. No running around town for parts wasting your time!) Ummmm...no.
She wants it taken care of today. With the replacement of the gas valve cost plus the home service fee plus the diagnostic test fee she asks what it would cost to replace the whole water heater. Oh sure. He has one in his truck. He quotes her a price. Fine. She'll take it. How long till it's in? Oh that's a 2 hour job.
A couple of hours after the appointment started she calls me. He can't get the old water heater out. It's too heavy and there are pipes that are too close. He is banging it all around trying to get it out and he can't do it. I'm also told that he called his boss to tell him he needed help and was told to do it himself...everyone is busy. She is frustrated. She calls the company. The boss answers. She tells him what is happening. That his technician will not be able to get our old water heater out by himself. B. Bohmann tells her that his technician is a big boy and he can do it. Also stating that you are not the only people in Milwaukee who are having problems right now. That he is at an emergency call and his other techs are also out right now. She calls me in tears.
Now I'm on the road...on the way home to see if I can help the tech out. I call B. Bohmann and tell him that he left my fiance in tears after their conversation and I'm told that I told her straight how it is. I'm sorry but I don't give out flowers. I'm sorry she is so sensitive, but I'm with a client right now and it's an emergency call. I tell him that part of running a business is providing customer service and that he is not providing that to us. He states that his company provides what they promise. I state no, we are buying a new water heater and we were told it's a 2 hour job. He states you will get your water heater. I ask when? He says tonight. Mind you it's already 7pm.
I get home and at first try to figure out how I can help this tech. He states that he understands that we are upset and that his boss treated my wife rudely. (He doesn't know I called his boss.) He says that is not the way it is supposed to go.
After a quick consultation with my fiance we decide we don't want this company's water heater. We just want to be done with them. As the tech is packing up I hear him talking to himself saying he should find a new job. That his boss has done this before with other clients. I ask him how much the charge is. He says that if we want to pay him for his work he would charge us for the home service fee and the diagnostic fee. I decide to pay it just to be done with this company all together. I don't want Mr. Brian Bohmann to come back to us and claim we owed him money.

So we get ready to retire to another night at home without hot water. BUT WAIT. The truck comes back about 15 minutes later. The tech lost the lock on the back of his truck and he was wondering if it fell in our driveway. But he states you have already been through enough tonight. Still I get a flashlight and search the driveway. No lock. He says he must have lost it on the road and wishes me a good night. Too late for that...

Zero stars. Overpriced and did not clear my pipes in September. Charged for things the plumber did not do. They do not guarantee their work and refused to come fix the problem. Because of them I had continued sewer backup and property damage. New plumber came out today and found that Milwaukee Plumbing had only opened a small hole in the blockage and had not cleared it.

Very helpful and responsive. Fixed my leaky toilet and had replacement parts on-hand.

I read the other reviews for this plumber and decided to call two other plumbers first, got voicemail for both and neither of them returned my call. After waiting a week for a call back, I decided to give Sterling a call. They actually answered the phone and set up an appointment around my schedule. They did a fantastic job and they were fast courteous and very professional.
Next time I need a plumber they will be my first call.
