Best Drain Cleaning in Madison WI
Must give another shout out to these folks...three years later and same great and reliable service at a fair price. So the proof is in the potty...I mean pudding.
Their professionalism and reliability on prior service were not one-offs. The mark of true pros? Consistent and sustained quality. They rock it and should be held up as an example of how business can be done. Now, for us consumers, let's continue to work with them and spread the word. That is our part.

Capitol has been doing my plumbing for more than ten years now in my house plus two apartment buildings. Their service is consistently fast, honest, and professional.
The first time I called them, Stan showed up at 07:50 a.m. for an appointment at 08:00 on a Saturday - but he hung out in his truck and waited until eight on the nose to knock on the door. I had a clog in my sink drain that was too far down for my snake to reach. He measured from the sink and the main, cut out a bit of pipe, cleaned it out, and then installed a T joint with a plug I could take out if I needed. Now, there's no part of the pipe I can't reach with the snake.
That was the first of many great interactions. At this point, I tell them what the problem is, and they come fix whatever it is, and I pay them. I trust them so much that I don't need to talk to them before they fix something.

Having to call the rooter serving pros is always a harrowing and frightening endeavor.
Well perhaps that's not exactly the right wording, but knowing that the bill will likely be not accepted by my insurance provider, makes me sort of wish I could call the proctologist instead.
Everyone knows (or should recall being told when still in high school by counselors advising about career possibilities) that doctors and plumbers were professions who could demand serious hourly rates and get them.
In 10 years now, in my current home I've needed several plumber/rooter services to perform some task I'm either unskilled or don't care to purchase a proper rooting tool for that DIY ethic I otherwise resort to when I have a job needing attention.
Mark's service was the one I've called on a return customer basis. Highest attention to the customer satisfaction of the three local companies I've hired in this area.
One company (franchised well known brand) sent a man (solo) that dragged an extremely heavy Rooter machine down my hardwood stairs and every scratch and gouge that guy left was something that assured me I'd call ANYONE else in the future. My phone call and walk-in visit with before and after photos was met with the 'sh_t happens' attitude. I had before photos because as few weeks prior, all my hardwood floors had been restored, so I was extremely conscious of every blemish.
Another sent a man without the required machine to perform the complete job and was only fully realized when a couple months later, I called MARK'S to redo the same root removal job and I was shown via the video image that what was left undone previously.
I still don't want to ever see these guys again, but they are now the only number in my phone list for any in house plumbing work I'll ever rely on going forwards. An annual service fee is cheaper than an emergency call every other year I feel should be mentioned, which reminds me, I suspect Mark's will be returning shortly.

They came on a holiday (without extra fees) and we're fast and efficient. Great communication and a great price.

Our kitchen sink was leaking, and when I closed the shut-off valves under the sink, they leaked, too. I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. Dan was very friendly and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I am very satisfied with the results and would gladly hire him again.

Prompt, friendly, professional, neat and did great work. I didn't shop around for competing quotes but for amount of time spent and the cost of parts and supplies I believe his charges were very reasonable. Would recommend highly.

We had another Roto-Rooter company come twice with in a week and charge us both times. Then a month later it backed up again. Ken showed up with in minutes, on a Sunday no less. He noticed right away the last guy was not cleaning it out all the way to the street. He finished the job and stuck his camera scope down the cleanout to make sure everything was cleared...especially since this was the third visit in 6 weeks. They are a local small business focused on being knowledgeable, fast, courteous and reasonably priced. Do not call anyone else.

Cardinal has been the BEST company I've experienced so far at my house. I've also used Action--they were terrible in comparison.
1st call to Cardinal was in a panic with the sudden loss of AC in a 90 degree day. 5 animals in the home. The person with whom I spoke understood how dangerous of a situation this was and a service person was scheduled that day.
2nd call was for electrical work--not urgent but they happened to be able to squeeze me in on the same day which was probably rare but amazing!
Best parts of this experience:
1. Friendly and empathic front team who got me scheduled ASAP.
2. Text prior to the service person's arrival with their pic and some info to help personalize this 'stranger'
3. The service people themselves--extremely competent, focused, and very personable.
I only wish they serviced commercial properties so I could have them out to my business!

Craig is awesome! I had a leak in my sink and he came over, figured out the problem, and fixed it all in about ten minutes, then he took a minute to look at a messed up door hinge for me. He did everything at a super reasonable price! Highly recommend Craig.

They took my call at 5 am, and despite a busy morning, they were out to fix the hole in the drain pipe under the kitchen sink by 11 a.m. And they're super fast! I had him out a few days later to replace the rest of the pipes under that sink and he was completely done within 15 minutes! I like and trust this company; they'll be the ones we call on in the future when we need work done.

The work looks fine but this is a very expensive plumbing contractor. Technician not friendly or helpful when I asked about other areas of the home.

Chuck showed up on time as promised, was very friendly and personable, and was in and out in no time, installing my Wi-Fi safety shutoff valve in under an hour. As far as the business is concerned -- of all I contacted, Monona was the most responsive, the most in depth, and fairly significantly the best value, and they asked about mask preferences ahead of time (which were adhered to!), which is not something I have experienced with other contractors. I would happily contact Rick again for an estimate or have Chuck do work for me. Well done.

Complete scammers, ran up huge bill with no results! Had to call another outfit to fix....

Bad business practices, they have done 2 different no call,no shows on us.. with the last being an urgent need. Was told at 8:20 a.m they will be out in the afternoon, heard nothing, saw nothing.. called at 1:45 p.m. spoke with someone, who said I'd receive a call from them, concerning our appointment, still nothing..I lost hours of pay at work and also had to receive a occurrence for leaving early for an appointment they never bothered to show up to.,and left my family of four out of water for over 24 hours...I do not recommend them, nor will use their business again...

Incredibly difficult to schedule anything... they can't even confirm if we can set an appointment for tomorrow.

try and get an appointment, try again. if you get one then you better pray they show up. call them and then they say they are on the way and then never show up, call or anything. I don't know what happen to this business because I have used them in the past and they were awesome. not at all anymore. so sad and frustrating
