Best Emergency Services in Kansas City MO

Stine-Nichols Plumbing Plumbing Service
This company is an absolute treasure.

My shower handle broke at 7:15 in the morning and wouldn't shut off (my house water shutoff also wasn't working). I called Stine-Nichols in a panic wondering if I'd be able to make it in to work today.

Not only did they respond and follow-up immediately, they had a plumber at my house within 30 minutes. He was friendly, efficient, and thorough with his work.

I absolutely recommend Stine-Nichols for anyone with a plumbing emergency - not only will they respond and repair quickly, but their rates are VERY reasonable and fair, and their employees are friendly and helpful as they could be!

McCann Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
We had a sewage line back up at 7AM - they called me at 7:58 AM (they open at 8AM) and had guys here about 9. Super friendly and professional. Very attentive to the fact that we could not use any water in our house so they made us a priority. I will highly recommend to anyone. Awesome.

They have now been to our home twice. Very kind, helpful and great work. They are not in a rush allowing time for clear explanation and quality work.

Best Plumbing Plumbing Service
Found Best Plumbing on Next Door after seeing numerous good reviews on them. I hired them for  my bathroom remodel project where I was needing to update some old copper plumbing. Ben was fantastic. Easy to get a hold of, good communication, very fair pricing, and quick, knocking out my project in half a day. He helped notice a couple other issues I had in my plumbing, and solved the water hammer issue I had been having.

Would recommend them for any plumbing needs you have.

Farris Randy Plumbing Plumbing Service
I have used Randy for several years when those pesky plumbing problems arise. He has re routed water lines, replace a water heater, fixed a leaky line in my basement ceiling, and always provides personal attentive service.  Recently I purchased a new washing machine, and could not get the water lines broken free because of water scale buildup and rusty tips on the lines.
Being afraid to torque the water line too severely, I called Randy again.  He arrived the next day and made quick work of the job I was afraid to tackle.  Prices are always reasonable.....unlike some of the other plumbers my friends have used... so call with confidence that you can get a good bid for your needs.

You may have to leave a voice mail, because he is a small operation, but he has always returned calls quickly.

Zoom Drain Plumbing Service
This company appears to be a call service that dispatch work to different subcontractors. They will not give you an idea about the cost associated with their service unless technician shows up at your door. This is exactly what happened to me. The estimate was 2-3X what a normal charge would be for drain cleaning. I told him no thanks. What a waste of my time and his gas. $500 for a mainline cleaning from a clean out? I am not that desperate for your service. Thank you. Save your time and find someone more reasonable.

Snake N Rooter Plumbing Plumbing Service
This company is absolutely incompetent they said it technician to snake a drain out and he said that they could use the toilets the next morning when they woke up the basement was full of sewer water because he had not done the job properly and he did not stress test the drain after he opened it we found a massive route clog that block the drain even after he said he'd opened it which he did not cost $5000 worth of damage to the basement company not only charged us $350 for their work but refused to pay for the damages by the way they have a F minus rating at the Better Business Bureau

Razor Rooter Plumbing Service
We would not recommend this company to anyone.  They charged us $55 for an unnecessary service and refuse to take the charge off.  Mind you, this is during a global pandemic when most don't have an extra $55 to waste.  We had a service tech come to our home to unclog our main line.  He couldn't find the main line drain, so he charged us to pull the toilet out. We had a real plumber out shortly after Razor Rooter and he immediately found the drain in our garage, which is apparently a pretty common place for one of these.  After their plumber left, none of our issues were resolved.  I wish I would've taken the time to read all of their reviews.  It seems odd they are either really good or really bad.  Our final bill was over $200 and they did NOT come out the same day or provide the prices or service these other reviews mention.

R-Mech Heating Cooling & Plumbing Plumbing Service
We had a horrendous experience with this company.  R-Mech installed a new furnace in our home in 2015.  In 2016, our A/C went out.  Naturally, the first company we called to see about getting a new A/C was R-Mech.  Unfortunately they were unable to get there for two weeks.  Being that it was July when this was happening, we couldn't wait that long, so we hired another company to install a new A/C for us.  While this was unfortunate that they could not get our A/C installed for that long, I understand in the middle of the summer they are busy, and this has NOTHING to do with the poor review.

Fast forward to summer 2017, and our A/C has a problem.  Naturally, I call the company that installed our A/C (not R-Mech) to come take a look at it.  The tech from the other company tested our capacitor, which he said was in good shape, and then stated the problem was that the fan motor on the furnace was not functioning properly, which was causing the A/C not to work.  He stated that because the furnace was so new, it should be covered by the warranty, and recommended that I contact R-Mech, who had installed the furnace, to get it taken care under warranty.

So upon the other tech's recommendation, I contact R-Mech and explain that the furnace fan motor appears to be broken, and they have a tech sent out.  Our tech was named Jake, and our experience with him was awful.  He walked into our furnace room and immediately informed me that the warranty on our furnace was void since the furnace had been opened (by this he means that the screws were taken out of the cover plate on the furnace).  Remember, it was another certified HVAC tech that opened the furnace and diagnosed the fan motor was broken.  So he informed me that I'd have to pay full price for the part and the labor to install it.  I explained to him that it was another HVAC tech that had opened the furnace, but he said that the warranty was still void. He called his boss (I think his name was Josh) and let me speak to him, because I refused to agree that the warranty had been void.  After explaining the situation to him, Josh said that they would in fact warranty the part, and my only cost would be the labor.

When a part is warrantied, the manufacturer replaces the part for free.  So to Jake and R-Mech, it shouldn't matter whether it is the customer or the manufacturer who is paying for the part.  They make their money via the labor and service call charge.  So why would Jake not do everything in his power to get the part warrantied in this situation?  The only logical explanation that I can think of was that they were attempting to charge me for the part, which they would then warranty and get supplied a replacement by the manufacturer for free, so essentially they'd be charging me for a $500 part that they got for free because they warrantied it, hence increasing their profit by $500.

Fortunately after speaking with Josh, they agreed the part was covered by warranty.

We were scheduled to be out of town the day that R-Mech was able to come and replace the part.  Jake knew this, and I also told him that my Mother-In-Law had offered to stay at our house and we'd leave her a check to pay him with.  The day before the work was scheduled to be done (and the day that my wife and I were leaving town), Jake called me and stated that he had availability later in the day, and he thought he could get the work done that day.  I was thrilled that we could get this taken care of a day early, but we were still going to be out of town.  My Mother-In-Law then graciously said she could come over a day early so the repairs could get done as quickly as possible, and we'd have A/C again.  So Jake came and got the part replaced and called me to tell me the total charges for the labor to install the new fan motor.  The charge was about $75 higher than what we had previously discussed, and when I asked why, he said there was an additional charge for an after hours service call. Nowhere in our phone conversation where he offered to come a day early did Jake mention that he would be charging an after hour service call fee to get it done that night.  If I had known there was going to be an extra cost, I would have just had him come the next day.  Then, about 15 minutes after hanging up the phone with him, he calls back and states that our thermostat is broken, and the cheapest thermostat he had with him was $300.  The thermostat was working fine before any of this happened.  Being that we weren't home at the time, I said that I'll look into replacing the thermostat myself when we return to town.  He then stated that it would void the warranty on the furnace if anyone other than a certified tech installed a thermostat.  I explained we'd be using another HVAC company to get a new thermostat since I was so upset with R-Mech.  After hanging up, he called back and informed me he made a mistake and the thermostat was working fine.  Tell me that's not fishy.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! STAY AWAY!

Pierpoint Plumbing Plumbing Service
It's hard to find an honest and reputable plumber in Kansas City. I got ahold of Austin at Pierpoint and gave them a punch list of things I needed done at a new house I just bought. They gave me fair pricing - in fact very reasonable - not price gouging - like so many plumbers. Also they treated my home and health with extreme caution- with the Coronavirus situation. They removed their shoes, wore masks and gloves. So, I give these guys 5 stars and highly recommend them.

Aaron's Services Plumbing Service
My air conditioning was on the fritz and I spoke with Ashley at Aarons Service and she was able to schedule me in for the end of the week, which I understood because it's August, peak season. But then Ashley called back and said she was able to move things around and get me scheduled for the very next day!! I was so grateful because I have MS and I'm heat intolerant.
The techs call 30 minutes before arriving and they always arrived on time. They were very friendly and super efficient. I couldn't be happier with their service and I highly recommend Aarons Service if you have any air conditioning needs!

Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric Plumbing Service
Buyer beware!  I had a leak in the bathroom.  They charged me $315.00 just to reset the toilet (which should have cost $100.00 - $150.00).  Then I still had the same leak!!  It was the shower drain.  They tried filling the drain with silicone twice, but still had the leak.  When I called them to try to reach a resolution, I was never able to talk to anyone who cared about the company's reputation.  Out $315.00 and still had the leak.  Had to call another plumber to replace the drain.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumbing Service
Pretty much not happy. I had an emergency and didn't have time to call anyone else. The first guy was pleasant and other then the price being almost a 100 dollars more then my second opinion. I was just relieved to have my pipes cleared again. There was a coupon on the site for 60 bucks but i was not even the chance to use that.  But other then the high price the first guy does not bother me.

HOWEVER, i was offered a free camera check so another tech came out and checked. Here is where i am upset. I was not given an estimate or a invoice for this deal. The gentleman claimed we had a sag and needed to get it repaired asap. Claimed it was about 56 feet out and we needed to look into the repairs, started in on the price of 8 to 10k and started on the financing parts of it. Now, i didnt see the sag, no one in the home was shown video or anything. There was no paper no video etc, just quotes verbally and out the door. Frustrated and paniced i called another plumber.

Our second opinion came in showed the video and said there was no damage worth digging out and doing that repair we were quoted. Just quoted general maintenance and and idea of where the minor sag was but said it was small enough with correct care this was not an urgencey and gave us a proper quote if we wanted to look into it in later YEARS.

I won't be calling back. I am sorely disappointed with the price for the original clear out. Then the lack of evidence, and the immediate push for financing. It seemed to take advantage of the fact it was emergency situation where I could not shop due to children in the home. But now Ive learned. I can get it done for 240 somewhere else with more honesty.

Jay's Plumbing & Excavation Plumbing Service
The business is posted twice with slightly different names, but it's still the same crooked business.
Jay no longer works the field, he only handles the business side, leaving his less than reputable wife, and her mentally challenged son to destroy anything left of the reputation that Jays pluming had.

I hired them to replace my main water line, they were running average of all the bids.  They guaranteed that I would be satisfied with their service and were very professional.... That's a lie!!!

One of the crew propped open the truck door and urinated in my driveway! I have a 15 year old girl that lives across the street and several girls behind us! Let alone, it was in my driveway!!!
Their best employee was bidding out work on my house, for off the clock extra work. Their manager, Jays step son, threw his trash out in my yard, and when I said something his response was it'll get buried when we fill the hole! Not the point!
They filled the gap where the new line comes into the house with window caulking instead of seam sealer or plumbers putty, they didn't reconnect my ground rod to my electrical panel and left me with deplorable excavating! My meter well is 6-8 inches below grade and I had a super high hump in my yard because they didn't finish!
Then Jays wife came to my house and demanded to be paid! Hey finish the job first!  Let alone they broke the law and didn't seed the raw dirt that law required!

Stay away from them!
This is a terrible company
They go through employees like drill bits because they pay them or they short them. An employee can put a lien on your house to collect payment.
