Professional, on-time, and fair pricing. After calling 3 plumbing companies, we chose Joe for straight forward answers And when job was complete, made sure everything worked and was cleaned up. Will call Joe Lillis again, and recommend to anyone.

They replaced a spigot on the side of my house, and then when a late cold snap caused it to bust - our mistake, had the hoses on for gardening - they patched it for free. They'll get all of my (hopefully infrequent) business.

Matt has come to save our house a couple of times after some basement sewage issues. He has always been extremely friendly and thorough, giving us a great rate on some pretty extensive work. We look forward to using him at the next house as well! Highly recommend for all your plumbing needs.

This company solved my septic problems for a fair price and in a timely manner. They made sure my repairs where done in time to make sure my house closed on the date it was supposed to. I cant recommend more highly for septic repair.

1/20/17 My mother had another company come to clean out the lines in the house with sinks and floor drains backing up. First call was $300 and did not fix, came back next day and wanted additional $225 for sink cleanout, they didn't fix and left a huge mess to boot. To say the least she was very stressed.
Contacted Rice and they were out within an hour, fixed the issue and even mopped the floors. Extremely nice and I cannot say enough for how they treated my mother. She called me so pleased and relieved things were working well. Thank you folks VERY much!!

Bob is awesome. We initially called him on a whim last summer when we needed some work done on one of our bathroom sinks. What stood out was his honesty regarding cost / benefit analysis when presenting various options to me. Much more affordable, effective, and friendly than your run-of-the-mill plumbing company.
A few months later, we had an piping elbow break on the other side of the house in the dead winter! I frantically called a generic plumbing company that showed up higher on the internet search results (sheer panic move). After spending ten minutes on the phone with a receptionist, I was told that a plumber would be contacted soon and when they'd call me back was still uncertain. With the sound of pouring water continuing to ring out from the crawlspace, I thought to myself Wait a second, what am I doing? I'll just call 'Bob The Plumber'!
And I'm glad I did. Awake at 6:15 in the morning, Bob answered my call, asked me pertinent questions so he could quickly assess the situation and instructed me what actions to take (turn off the water, dummy) - unfortunately, I (along with my girlfriend) could not figure out how to shut off the water valve outside once we started inspecting it. Even though he had prior appointments scheduled, Bob came over before those engagements to help us shut the water off and stop the flow so the problem could be mitigated for the time being.
A couple hours later Bob and his understudy arrived, and again delivered in fixing the problem at a very affordable price.
I told him then that I couldn't thank him enough, and aside from writing him a check, I'd write a great review for him on the internet, which is what you're reading now.
Don't bother with the over-priced gimmicky companies - you're wasting your time. Just call Bob The Plumber and he'll get the job done right and in a timely, affordable fashion!

Nick is exceptional. I had another company come out and try to fix a drain, and they recommended almost $1,000 worth of work to correct it.
I called Nick, and realized the other company completely biffed it. It was a simple fix. He saved me a lot of money and angst.
Nick knows old homes very well. He is reliable, honest and knowledgeable.

I'm usually very critical when it comes to hiring work in my home. I do most handy work myself, but plumbing is something I haven't tapped into yet. I hired Poor John's to install an anti-freeze sillcock in my garage, something I wasn't totally comfortable doing myself. I called them on a Wednesday, had a guy out on Thursday to take a look, a quote was presented to me on Friday, and the work was done the following week on the day and I had requested it be done. The contractor was professional, friendly, explained everything he did, and was done in about an hour. Great work and I will hire them again when needed!

I typically don't give five star reviews. I think that there's always room for improvement. I apologize for the length of this review but I think it's important to share all the steps and why LBA checked all of the boxes.
During the first cold snap this year (2017) I went to fire up the furnace for the first time and realized there was a problem. (I won't get in to the home warranty company issues.)
The wife and I decided to go ahead and replace our aged HVAC system. After a lot of research I called 3 HVAC companies for quotes. We called
1. Company 1 (too busy with a home show to come and give us a timely quote. 5 day wait)
2. Company 2 came by and the sales rep just pointed his flashlight into our crawlspace but never went in to take a look at what exactly needed to be done and then gave me a quote for almost 10k for the lowest end Lennox system(no options).
3. LBA came out the first thing Scott McKinley did was go in to our crawlspace and assess exactly what would be entailed. Scott was knowledgeable about the city codes and explained what they would need to correct with a new HVAC. When we got back upstairs Scott asked a few questions to ascertain our needs and prepared two quotes that covered the range of our budget, each quote contained 3 system options from high to low.
He quoted for a new Lennox HVAC. The same system that Company 2 quoted and it was 3k less and he also quoted a Ruud HVAC system(made by Rheem).
We decided to go with the Ruud(Rheem Product) because of research, Consumer Reports and best bang for our budget buck.
Installation: LBA showed up early on the agreed upon day. Chris was our installation tech and completed the work within the promised time. Chris was also knowledgeable and answered all of the additional questions I had. A couple of days later we had the city inspection and there were a couple of items that needed to be completed before the city would pass the inspection. One of those items would have been beyond the scope of a normal installation. However, LBA was on top of it! I can't stress this enough. They were clear in communicating how they were going to resolve the issue, scheduled a time when they would be out to correct them and showed up on time.
LBA gets 5 stars for
Promptness, completing the work on time, showing up when they say they would, Coming in on budget(no surprises) Professional and Knowledgeable Sales and Installation staff and doing the work to provide us options within our budget. We couldn't be happier!

We bought a $16,000 geothermal heating and air conditioning system from Snyders with a 10 year parts and service warranty in March of 2020. The system has never worked right. After numerous service calls and the system not heating at all. we were told that Snyder's would no longer be our service provider. We still had 7 years and 3 months left on on service warranty. We asked what we were supposed to do for heat in the middle of December and sub zero temperatures forecast within days. Their response was Go stay at an air B&B.

Driver of Greg's Plumbing vehicle started screaming profanities at me on Rock Road. Traffic was down to one lane on the right and I moved over to left lane to make a left turn. He was out of control. I am concerned that he goes in to people's houses. Definitely not a stable person.

The worst experience I have had with a contractor. He doesn't return calls, doesn't show up when he says, doesn't honor the price he states, and doesn't finish the job. Smokes on your property leaving cigarette butts for pets. Completely unprofessional. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

Do not use this company!! Horrible customer service. I was happy they were willing to come out the day that I called but after they were 2 HOURS LATE, I was not pleased. I also had to call THEM to find out where they were instead of them giving me a courtesy call. He finally came to repair and said he needed 20 minutes to put the parts into the system so after 50 minutes of waiting for him to come back up, I was out of time and had to walk down to his van and tell him we were out of time. Overall, I spent 3+ hours of my afternoon to find out that I needed a new faucet, which I already knew. I will not be using this company again!!!!!

Update: Here is a response I received from AB May after my review:
Hi Jason, I apologize for the frustration that was a result of the service call from A.B. May. I am going to pass this along to Chuck who is the manager of that department. I will also make certain that I follow up on this so that your needs are taken care of. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to resolving this issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Have a wonderful Monday.
It's been 2 weeks and I still have not received a call. Pathetic!
