Great company to work with, owners Curt & Steve very helpful repairing a leak in the sprinkler system line during one of their busiest times of the year. A few days later we discovered the control unit had died, and again they responded in a timely manner.

We closed on our home in early August and were notified the previous owners had not performed the backflow testing as they should have in May of 2018 and we were given a 30 day shut off notice.  I contacted Green Leaf and they were able to come out almost immediately - and they also gave me a contact at the water company to talk with about a deferral on shut off given we had just closed.

They also sent a reminder about winterizing and handled it without any more work from me.  Their pricing is reasonable and the service has been impeccable.  Happy to recommend them to anyone.

We have used Green Leaf for both backflow device testing and sprinkler maintenance and repair over the last several years.  They are responsive, professional, and reasonably priced.  We will continue to go back whenever we need work done as they are so great to work with.

I called and was put on a waiting list.  But, I didn't have to wait long.  Kristen took the appointment when I called and was very pleasant to speak with.  She was knowledgeable on the services and costs.  Steve, the technician, was clean, fast, and professional.  Prioritized the jobs I needed completed, suggested options, and advised me on the best plan of action to complete the work I wanted done.

Top notch service company from all aspects on my first service call.  First impression was solid.

These guys are awesome! Here's why:
- Super responsive: They came out to my house just a few short days after I made initial contact with them, returned all emails in the same day I sent them and finished the job on a short timeline.
- Thorough: We are a busy family with kids and school and needed a professional to come in and not only put in plants/shrubs, but also suggest types of plants and where they should go We didn't have time to answer a thousand questions about what we wanted and where we wanted it. These guys came by, got a good sense of what we wanted in about 15 minutes and came back with a detailed plan. The plan was on point and we rolled with it. This was convenient and easy. Met our needs to a T.

I would recommend Green Leaf to anyone with landscaping needs. I will definitely be using them again.

This business is fabulous. The same employee has come to our house two years in a row to hep us out. So friendly and professional. I highly recommend them. They are busy so plan ahead for an apt.

I cannot recommend Green Leaf strongly enough.  I had a leak in my system last year.   They sent Joel who was extremely efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant.  He found the leak very quickly and devised a by-pass on the spot.  Afterwards, he checked my control system to make sure it was working properly.  Today,, he came out to look at the alarm signal on my control box and quicly figured out that it was the circuit breaker.  He then, made sure that all the valves and sprinklers were functioning properly and explained all of the above to me.  I will continue to go to Green Leaf for all my irrigation needs and will ask for Joel by name.

Recently had these guys out to fix a irrigation leak they were prompt efficient and cost-effective. solved the problem in no time and all around great to deal with!

Technician came on schedule, safely masked and distanced during Covid-19.  Diagnosed the problem very rapidly, repaired it efficiently and was through and on his way.  The charge was very reasonable!!  They were great.

I had a issue with a control valve and broken pipe due to roots, Green Leaf responded promptly, communicated with me about what the issue was and repaired the issue. This is a great company and I highly recommend them! Great job and thank you !

I called Greenleaf to understand how to store water for emergency use and also hardscape work.    Curt followed up and worked with me to understand trade offs and options.    We ultimately settled on Cobblestones and a creative solution to store water from our roof.    The work crew showed up on time, were diligent, and took pride in their work.    We were thrilled with the outcome.   I'd highly recommend Greenleaf for reliable, creative and professional work.  Thank you Curt!

Great Company ! You can trust these guys to do the job RIGHT the first time, and on time and on budget. They get back to you within a reasonable time and they even Text you back. I love that haha.

Green Leaf added a valve/zone to our irrigation system and laid 1.5 units of hemlock mulch in our front and back yards.
They arrived on time and worked until the job was completed; about 5 hours.
They had to dig in our paths to add the new zone and when complete the paths were as they were before the digging.
They cleaned up after themselves and were courteous.
The price was reasonable and the final price was what was estimated even though they had to use more material than anticipated.
We would use them again and would recommend them.

Terrible, terrible customer service. They Don't accept phone calls, and even after I made an appointment via email to do irrigation work on a certain day, they never contacted me as to the estimated  time of day they might arrive. So I took time off from work and waited: 8 am, 10, 12, 2, tried three times to reach him... email, phone,  and text... no response to ant of my contact attempts. I ran out finally to do errands and at 3 get a call from a worker who struggled to understand English but said he was waiting at my house and would wait for me to return while on the clock...(wait for me at 85 an hour I don't think so! )
He didn't know what he was supposed to do.. or what the work was. Just to fix the sprinkler , he said. He said he was told to show up sometime in the day and do what I instructed him to... when I asked way I didn't get a call he said basically The boss is busy so I told him to just please leave.

I will never call this place again! Worst customer service ever. I think it's the kind of contractor who , when things get busy, doesn't care about the customer, and those are the type I like to avoid.

Curt, Nabor and crew did excellent work on our irrigation, sod and landscaping work. Prices were fair and flexible as work changed. We hired them again for a larger hardscaping project and we are happy with their expertise, quotes, and planning.

These guys were amazing. Fast and suer professional. They installed sprinkler and drip system in 5 different zones and the quality is top notch. We couldn't be happier. Not to mention the crew is amazingly professional and a pleasure to have around.

Called but they are not taking on any new clients.  What the heck there are plenty of people unemployed.  So much from great customer service.

Green Leaf did a remodel on our irrigation system last fall.  Recently we broke one of the pipes with a shovel.  We called and got on the list for repairs, estimated to be two weeks out.  A few days later they were at our neighbors house, so we asked them about doing our repairs while they were in the neighborhood.  They had the parts they needed and fixed the problem quickly.  And they were smiling.

Been using this company since 2009 and they have done an awesome job on my yard. Curt and the guys have gone way above and beyond over the years... They've done everything from installing a sprinkler system to building a fence-- once they even got up on our roof and cleaned our gutters though it was outside the normal scope of what they do. They've always gone out of their way to make sure our yard is a lush oasis where it's a pleasure to spend time. They charge a fair price and do a great job.

I have to tell anyone in Portland, if you want and need a partner in your irrigation system, this is your company. They know how to do it all, whether it's surveying and installing a new system, or maintaining and repairing your old one. We have a very old system, and they have been fantastic partners in updating, maintaining and optimizing our system, without fail. They show up on time, with expert staff, and they let you know when they need extra parts, and what that means in terms of time. This company has solved so many problems for us, and has done so with the utmost level of professionalism. If you have an irrigation system, and want to install a new one... these are your people. And if you have an existing system that needs repairs? These are your people. I can't offer a higher recommendation.

Outstanding experience with Joel and Green Leaf Irrigation. We just moved into a new house and couldn't figure out why the sprinklers irrigation drip hoses weren't working properly. Joel came out and did a fantastic job diagnosing the problem, creating solutions, and getting our system on track. Beyond that, he was a joy to have around our house. He was friendly, hard working, engaged with our kids, and provided an all-around great service. Will 100% use them again and you should too.

Green Leaf Irrigation & Landscape for the save! After hiring and then firing another company in the midst of installation of our sprinkler system, Curt and his crew from Green Leaf swooped in, took over and really helped us out in the mess we had found ouselves in.  What a difference it made hiring Green Leaf!  I kick myself for not calling them first!  I seriously cannot speak highly enough about the quality of work, communication from Curt and his crew and how at ease Green Leaf made us feel (given the sprinkler hell we had found ourselves in) throughout installation.  I highly recommend Green Leaf and look forward to working with them again!

Overpriced and unclear procedures, owner upset with reasonable questions, lots of canceled or postponed appointments, workers took breaks together for 15 to 30 minutes. At $255 per hour, $85 per person, that is a very expensive break. Why not alternate and get the job done. They also were deceptive about arrival and departure time, and my house cameras confirmed that the time they arrived and the time they started work did not match by about 30 minutes. Taking two long breaks in a 3 to 4 hour block of time before lunch seemed excessive to me, again at very high prices. I hope that work is good, but if I need updates I will go elsewhere.

I was told when I called them that it would be two weeks before someone would get back to me to schedule an appointment.  I was also told their hourly rate. Someone did show up at the front door a couple weeks later when I was not home. This business never did any work for me.

Curt and the crew were amazing. We had to augment our existing system, which was about 30 years old. They added new lines, replaced the sprinkler heads and installed a new control box. Oh, and they were able to find our valve box, which two other teams couldn't seem to find. I was really impressed by them, and loved working with them. Also, we got a lot for the money we spent. Highly recommend.

We called Green Leaf Irrigation and Landscape out to move a sprinkler and assess sprinkler system for better coverage.  Although it was peak season they were responsive, came out within 1-2 weeks, and did the work at an extremely economical price.  Very pleased with the service from Green Leaf and will definitely use them again!

Green Leaf has taken good care of us. They came out, made a thorough assessment of our sprinkler system, and gave some no nonsense recommendations. We have had great service from Greenleaf. Joel has come to us several times for various issues with our sprinkler system and we couldn't be happier.

Curt and his team were the consummate professionals. They followed through like they said they would despite a miscommunication where my husband became frustrated and frankly rude.

It was a big job but everything looks beautiful. We are happy that we used Green Leaf Landscaping for our lighting, irrigation and sod installation. We highly recommend them.

Curt scheduled me only a few days out. He and Steve showed up on time and fixed the broken pipe in 10 minutes, showing me the busted piece for inspection. The hourly rate was reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to call these guys again for irrigation issues.

These guys rock! They tore out my front yard, tilled, top soiled, rolled and laid new sod in no time.  They even came in under budget! Would definitely use them anytime I have landscape or irrigation needs.

I am in the NE Portland area. Recently hired Green Leaf for some irrigation system maintenance and fix-up. Not a massive piece of work but they had to fix my control panel wiring, change a few sprinklers, replace tubing. They did very good work. They also were very diligent, good communicators; they also came back for small follow ups within the promised time frame and at no added cost. Curt was a pleasure to work with.

They don't charge you for the initial visit to plan the work, and overall price was very competitive, a little below my expectations after taking with other companies (even below their initial quote, which speaks highly of their values and honesty).

I will call them to service my irrigation system every year.

They were great to work with, beginning to end.  They took out sod, relocated irrigation lines/heads, built three fantastic 30x7'x3' garden beds, filled them, installed drip irrigation tubing/valves, and prettied up the area with river rock.  This was in 1.5d of work that happened exactly when they said it would.  When I tacked on a side request, it was no problem - done well and swiftly.  I will definitely come back to Greenleaf for future landscape projects!

We've used a number of sprinkler repair business in the past because we couldn't find a responsive, reliable service. We have found that in Green Leaf.  We needed their help on two occasions, even though in their busy season they responded in a timely fashion.

Certainly will continue to use and wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

I would give lower rating if I could... I received an invoice for turning off and winterizing our sprinkler system after being out of town for a number of weeks. I figured I should check the water main just to make sure that something had actually happened before paying the bill. Amazingly -- I was invoiced when they didn't do any work.

Once I made a call to them, they showed up and said that my water main was off -- because I turned it off. Terrible service, bad response time and invoicing for work that wasn't done. These are not traits of people I would like to work with in the future.

I highly recommend Green Leaf Irrigation & Landscape!  Curt and his crew did an exceptional job of installing an irrigations system on our houseboat.  Green Leaf is customer service oriented and very responsive. Greenleaf returned to reconnect a few sprinklers, adjust planters and ensure everything was function properly following our exterior paint job. We look forward to a continued relationship.

These guys were great. We had a pretty big and complicated project. They were smart, efficient, and did all the work at a reasonable price.

The crew at Green Leaf put in a full sprinkler system in our front and back yard, they did an awesome job! Very professional, didn't make a mess and have great communication! You really get what you pay for with these guys, highly recommend them.

These guys did an amazing job above and beyond extensive repair work we needed done for our front and backyard definitely recommend to anyone who need irrigation or sprinklers.  Upgrading our system to a smart system through them was one of the best cheap investments we could have done for our home

I had my sprinkler system replaced and upgraded, along with running a new drip system in the front and backyard.  

Curt and his team were very pleasant and easy to work with.  They were fast, efficient and helped explain things during the process.  It was a really good experience from start to finish.

It was easy to get an appointment with Greenleaf and Dan showed up on time.  He quickly located a buried and defective sprinkler head (that I did not know existed) that was flooding water into our neighbor's yard.  He fixed several sprinkler heads in the hour that he had for our first appointment.  He was extremely knowledgeable about irrigation systems and we learned a lot from his visit.  We have had other companies out to try to fix our sprinkler issues, but Dan is the first to have really understood what was wrong and then fix it.  We are really happy with the service we got and highly recommend Greenleaf Irrigation & Landscape.

My husband attempted to replace an automatic anti-siphon valve and a converter simultaneously.  The easy to follow instructions were utterly worthless.  As the unofficial household apprentice, I was unsuccessful, too.  Totally frustrated, I contacted several local sprinkler companies, but my job was too small.  As a stroke of good luck, I contacted Curt at Green Leaf Irrigation and Landscape.  He graciously offered to step me through the wiring process.  I was dubious as he forwarded an easy to follow solution.  Voila!  All of the sprinkler heads worked flawlessly!  In today's hectic world, this kind of compassionate and extraordinary customer service is impossible to find.  Words of glory cannot adequately describe my appreciation to Curt for his professional ethics to make sure my sprinkler worked. I would like to give this company a 5 star recommendation, but also a 1 star recommendation.

Here's the 5 star:  

We needed the south side of our yard re-graded so rain would flow away from the house. They did an excellent job at a reasonable price!! I truly appreciate that they were willing to do this size of job without trying to convince me to do a huge landscape project. The guys who did the work were great. The work was scheduled and done in a very timely manner. I will definitely use them again this spring when I need more work done. So in regards to the actual work done 5 Stars!!

Here's the one star:

I got an email saying they would call me at the beginning of the week. That time passed with no phone call, and I had to call them. The response after that was great! Work scheduled and done on time. But the contractor was supposed to come over on the afternoon of the day the work was done, or maybe the day after, and he never showed up.  So I waited around a lot. The next day I put the invoice and check in the mail, and sent them an email. I later got a call from the office, asking if the contractor had shown up. I said No. but that it was ok, because I was happy with the work.  I then immediately got a call from the contractor, who quickly came by, reviewed the work. etc. So I did get responses, just not in the times that were set up.

The bottom line is that there seems to be some kind of disconnect between the contractors and dispatchers and their whole communication system.  I really really hope they figure it out.  I liked them a lot. My yard looks great.
