Excellent service.   My mom had recommended them for price and service and I ended up getting the same service person, Joel, who had been to my mom's house.  Joel provided me with a clear cost before starting and explained the process and checked all other possible leaks before re-bolting the toilet!  Joel was also very friendly and professional!
Highly recommend!

I was charged $453.00 for one hour of work to replace a faucet - and I provided the new faucet!  The charge was $394.00 for the work PLUS $59.00 for a house call.
The company confirm that, according to their pricing book, that was the correct
charge for that job.

Beware of the company and deceptive technicians and owner Jason.  Recently had a new A/C unit installed in my house since last A/C unit quit working.  New A/C is causing my duct work to drip water and 4th level doesnt cool effectively.  Soderlin says everything is working fine and will not try to solve the problem.  The technician Jeff came back several times and took readings - instead of informing me of his findings he was secretive and did not explain his findings.  All Jeff said was that Soderlin would take care of everything to make things right.  Showed Jeff the technician the dripping water from duct work, but he wouldn't comment.  For his 14 years in the business you would think he would know what this is caused from.   Instead called another company to fix the dripping water from duct work and air flow.  My old A/C unit never caused water to form on the duct work and ruin my ceiling tile.  Beware of there unprofessionalism and sneaky business tactics.  They have been reported to Angie list and better Business Bureau.  Soderlin is definitely out for your money, but has no idea what customer service is all about.  If everything goes smooth I'm sure Soderlin would be ok, but if there's any problems, good luck trying to get them to help solve the problem.  If there's problem make sure you have another company you can call to fix the problem since they definitely are not problem solvers.

I took an unwanted cold shower on a Sunday, my 5 year old hot water heater wasn't working.  I tried to trouble shoot on my own, but after 3 hours decided it needed professional help.  I had looked up the part that wasn't working at it was $375 wholesale on the Internet.  Reluctantly I called Soderlin who I had used many years ago.  I called about 9:30 on a Monday morning and they came out by 11:30 that day.  The guy looked at the HWH, called someone and told me it was all under warranty.  Yippee!  I was quoted $350 for the call and labor.  It took over 3 hours of work for him and two trips to get parts, plus he had to return the broken parts to get warranty coverage, but the quoted price didn't change and he was very personable and walked me through what he did and the documentation he made on the new parts.  It was a great ending to a major bummer for me.  I recommend Soderlin for any plumbing needs.

Charged $500 an hour for their work.   Don't be fooled by their up front pricing as they will estimate the worst case scenario and then not change their estimate when the work goes smoothly.

The day we sold our house, the water heater went out. Norblomb couldn't make it out for several days and since there was an open house that weekend. Since we'd be gone, we needed someone over there asap as the heater was leaking. Soderlin was there within two hours, earlier than they quoted us, and had a top of the line water heater on the truck. In an hour and a half, our old heater was gone and our new one was up and running beautifully. Rich was very sweet and fun with our girls, as he too has daughters and a granddaughter on the way (though he looked way too young to be a gramps!)

Perhaps it wasn't the cheapest. I'm not sure. I didn't have the time or energy to shop around. Soderlin rose to the occasion and it was very pleasant. Rich was friendly, professional and efficient.

Soderlin is great. I live in a 1911 brownstone condominium with old pipes and radiators. I got their number from a friend and her condo association uses Soderlin exclusively. Soderlin is the first plumber I call. They are quick, have great customer service, and are honest. Highly recommend them.

I had Soderlin tune up my furnace for the winter. The furnace had run fine for years. Suddenly, this year, it stopped working. I'm not sure if it was something they did or not, but when I got estimates to replace the furnace, their estimate was $5,000 higher than the guys I went with.  Beware! Very high prices. Although they were very nice and prompt, I cannot recommend them when they price gouge.

Had them out to look at a forced air furnace and they red tagged it telling us the carbon monoxide reading was high and that the heat exchanger was bad. They never showed us a readout. They never opened the back of the furnace and verified that the heat exchanger was bad. They told us the furnace was from 1986 so we believed them and signed on for a new install. They quoted us $4,100 for a new furnace and said they could install quickly. We found our manuals and verified the age of the furnace. We cancelled and got another company to look at the furnace. The heat exchanger is not bad. The furnace is a 2003 model making it a little 15 years old and still viable. The readout from the new company for CO was below 30. What was wrong was a bad gas valve which was replaced and now the furnace is fully operational.

The plumber who came to install a gas stove did not have to put in a shut
off valve because one already existed.  He just had to take off a flexible connector and put in a new one and connected it to the stove.
His told us the charge would be $364 plus $100 for a permit.  We needed the stove hooked up so we went ahead but the cost seemed way too high for 1/2 hour worth of work.

Literally the worst customer service. Will NEVER use them again. We have been loyal customers for over 5 years. They replaced our entire air conditioner a few years ago and our heating system this year as well as numerous other smaller jobs. We have paid them at least 20,000 over the last few years. We always knew they charged more than others but had been satisfied with the work until recently and kept using them. Then a few weeks ago we asked them to come fix 2 toilets. One of the toilets ended up with a new problem after they left and ended up flooding our entire bathroom a few days later. They came back to fix it free of charge so we moved on from that frustration. But a few days later the other toilet they had fixed started up with the original problem again. They had told us the toilet was old and would likely need to be replaced in a year or 2 but should hold us a while longer. But less than a week later the original problem came back. We asked them to come back and take a look, especially since the technician had made a mistake on the other toilet, so we wanted to see if he had made a mistake on this toilet too. They set an appointment and then 30 minutes before the appointment Jason the owner called and was incredibly hostile and said they refuse to come look at the toilet and will only be willing to replace it, and won't even attempt to look at or fix it. It made no sense since they couldn't have determined  if the technician made a mistake in fixing it without looking at it!! Absolutely absurd. He treated us like difficult customers even though we have paid them a ton of money and been loyal after all these years and they admittedly messed up the other toilet a week beforehand which caused our other bathroom to flood! Funny enough we had another company come out to look at the toilet today and they told us that soderlin failed to fix it properly and it does NOT need to be replaced. The other company also charges half of what soderlin charges! Wish we had switched companies sooner!!

Water heater corroded from inside and sprung a leak on Tuesday afternoon. Jeff from Soderlin came at 7:30 am Wednesday and got a new one installed for us. We use a side arm water heater system that works with our boiler. It was not inexpensive (these things never are), but Jeff was extremely professional and great to work with. He was respectful of our home and his work was efficient and tidy. Jeff made sure that our water heater and boiler were working in top shape before leaving. He was also very conscientious  about the water temperature not being too hot for our young children. I am very pleased with Soderlin's service!

They did the work but, as others warned, beware of the price! For one hour, we paid $430. They replaced two hoses and readily shared that the parts cost $30.  You can find a smaller shop with better prices that can easily do the same or better work. Check around. We wish we had.

Avoid this company at all costs. We bought a new air conditioner from Soderlin 3 years ago. Rather than installing it, Soderlin contracted with another company to do the work. We never saw or heard from Soderlin again. It was a bait-and-switch. The air conditioner broke last summer, and Soderlin would not even come out and fix it. Other companies said they would have stood behind their work; Soderlin would not (even though it did not do the work in the first place). Soderlin previously broke two toilets in our home. I recommend Residential Heat and Air. We have had great success with that company.

Plumber and office staff were professional and on time, but their quote was FAR higher than others'. (nearly twice) Decided to use someone else. Wanted to support my neighborhood business, but not if it costs me $3-400 more.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I called them...I had them come out to install a new kitchen faucet. The old faucet had already been removed. I asked for a price over the phone but was told the plumber would need to look at it- once at the condo he bid me almost $600!!! - $600 to install a kitchen faucet?!? When I said that was too expensive, they regardless made me pay a $59 dollar 'call out charge'....

Great, speedy service. Calling a plumber is never cheap. While I don't think Soderlin is inexpensive, based on my price comparison in the Twin Cities, I think what they charge is comparable to other plumbers. I'm happy we went with them, as they were able to come to our home the next day. Jeff fixed three different issues in about an hour. I'm very happy with the service.

My air conditioner suddenly stopped working - figured that out after I had been cooking all afternoon and house felt really hot on a 90 degree day. House was 80 degrees - Called Soderlin and they had a cancellation, was here within 30 minutes and one hour later from the call I made to them, I have air conditioning - Super nice guy (Jeff) came out, gave me some tips, changed an electrical component and viola, house is cooling down as I type.  Thank you so much!
