I needed to have major work done on the electric in my Merion Village home. After living here 2 years, I knew I had problems along with thoughts and ideas that I'd like too consider.

I searched for referrals, suggestions from friends and investigated websites.

Tom Cumbow, TWC ENTERPRISES, didn't pop up anywhere......not on the web, not in referrals or suggestions.

I invited Tom to give me an estimate. I also had 2 other estimates from Columbus companies.

I had a lengthy written list of issues that I copied for use during the estimate that I wanted to discuss.

Let me tell you about a company that I'd never use, was offended when he was here. Not worth telling you.

Let me tell you about TWC ENTERPRISES....
Unbelievable detailed attention was given to each specific item on my written list. Questions were asked, thoughts were shared, investigation into areas of my home was done and above all I believe I was respected and valued.

The estimate arrived in a very detailed form including notes from Tom.

Tom's estimate money-wise was the middle cost.

However, the honesty, open communication, professionalism and commitment to my job were key in my decision making.

TWC ENTERPRISES is based in a professional shop in Millersport, Fairfield County. They do not advertise. The electricians are truly that....professional licensed tradesmen.

Tom has been a leader on the local school board.

The work that was done in my home took 4 days one week and one day each of the next two weeks. CHRIS and STORM did the work. I left town the week CHRIS was here and had absolutely an amazing experience. Chris, could have done little things that would have cost me $$ but I'm thrilled that he used his professional judgment and his insight as a father and homeowner in decision making that improved the impact of the total job.

MY RECOMMENDATION IS TO LOOK OUTSIDE THE BIG BIG NAMES......

Without reservation I will recommend TWC ENTERPRISES, Tom Cumbow is worth the phone call.

Hubbs Heating & Air

We had an issue with a water tank in a home we own in Blacklick, OH and the home warranty service sent a different contractor out to fix it. They thought they had it working, but the next day the water was cold again. Cold showers are NO FUN!! The contractor said they couldn't get back out until the following week! Several calls later (to them and the home warranty service), Hubbs Heating & Air came out. The service tech was great! He said Hubbs is a small family-owned business that prides themselves on fixing the problem on the first visit. Thank you Hubbs!

My Electric Works

Overall we had a negative experience with My Electric Works. It started in Nov of 2021 when they replaced our box, we thought everything was all set but when we went to have our furnace replaced by another company they mentioned we did not have permits for our electric box. We reviewed the invoice for th work done by My Electric works on the box and noticed we paid for permits but never received. So in April of 2022 we called back, they then came out to label box which also was never done and found wires that had not been grounded properly in Nov 2021 so fixed that as well. Finally after 5 months we got the permits we had paid for originally.
Then we had an issue with our living room light switch while replacing the switch where it had stopped working. We decided to give them another chance and called to have them come out to look at it. On the phone call to set up the service visit there was no mention of a diagnostics fee or an increase to the diagnostics fee. Once the technician arrived, he told us that just for diagnostics it would be $250 charge which was over a 100% increase from the fee we had paid 5 months ago. As he was already at the house we agreed since we thought the issue would be resolved. When he told us he would not be able to fix the switch without tearing out the drywall on our entire living room ceiling (which we do not want to do) he left with nothing better then when he arrived. So we had paid $250 for nothing to be fixed. When I called to complain about this exorbitant fee and ask why we had not been made aware of it during the scheduling call and to understand why it had increased so much we were told sorry this is the way it is.
Very unhappy with my experience and with their customer service.

Terrible service. Someone from CCD came to help us with the electric panel prior to selling our house. After they left, we realized that they did something and now the dryer and the sauna are not working, and the dryer tech told us it's because of the electrical connection. We called and they said they were coming to fix it, and they never came, and now they don't answer the phone. We had to hire another electrician to help us. Beware of this group and do not hire them!!

I was calling around to local Grove City electricians and was quoted a price over the phone. This price beat the other company by $5.00 so I scheduled it (it was a double tapped breaker). The job was done and an invoice was sent via mail after a few days. The invoice was $20.00 more than quoted over the phone. I called to question it and he was argumentative and not nice at all. I would highly recommend discussing price with the technician who does the work to avoid that kind of surprise.
