We have worked with several electrical companies overt several years at our residence. I was impressed with Jess Howard's level of service, communication and attention to detail. Even though not all of our issues could be resolved during the visit, the service price was fair and the explanation of the status of the problems was comprehensive. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family in need of service.

Last year I had Big City Electric install my EV charger and it was a great experience.  Fast forward to March and it stopped working.  I called them to come out given that it was still under warranty.  They stated that it was an issue with the charger itself.  Tesla examined the charger cable and found no issues.  I then had Big City Electric back out again and the issue was fixed.  Now three months later, the EV charger has stopped working again.  I have called them countless times; however, there is no way to leave a message.  I have also emailed them and contacted them through their website with no response.   Is Big City Electric still in business?  I am hoping this review gets their attention.  I shouldn't have to pay to hire another company when this is under warranty.  I will also be contacting Tesla so that they can remove Big City Electric as a recommended installer.

Nathan does a great job and explains what is needed so you fully understand what is going on. His prices are fair and I would definitely hire him again.

I called and got immediate service to a live wire in my home. Damon was friendly and efficient. His  fee was more than reasonable and I will definitely be calling him again.

Called and a licensed electrician was sent out the next day.  He was prompt, professional, quick, cleaned up after himself and had excellent communication skills.  I would recommend this company to neighbors and friends.

After being very satisfied with previous electrical work by Ed at Safe Electric, we contacted them again regarding the installation of a 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug in our garage (typically known as an electric dryer plug). We also requested they install an RV electrical box, just like the ones at the campgrounds for our RV that is parked on the side of the garage and to accommodate any RV visitors. Ed provided an estimate and also recommended the installation of a surge protector since our detached garage's electrical comes from buried electrical lines from our home's basement some distance away. The only other surge protector is on the opposite side of the house (at another basement panel). Recently, Ed and Kyle came out, crawled around in the garage's attic space, fished wire through the walls, etc, etc. The installation is VERY clean and professional. We now have the 30 amp/240 volt electric vehicle charging plug inside the garage between two of the parking spots so it can be used from either spot (wiring is ALL inside the wall). We have a full RV box on the side of the garage. It has a 30 amp/120 volt regular plug, just like the ones in the house, another 30 amp/240 volt dryer plug for small or medium size RV's (or, for an electric vehicle that won't fit in the garage) and the 50 amp/240 volt plug for the BIG RV visitors. Finally, Ed and Kyle added a surge protector in the garage wall, just below the electrical panel. GREAT JOB, Ed and Kyle! Thank you! Looks great and we are already using some of the plugs! Had home inspection done and had some exposed wires from old disconnected lines showing around the electric panel.  Called Higher Power and they were quick to come out and clean it up a few days later.  Looks good now.

I contacted Jim to install two ceiling fans. He was able to install them on a Saturday morning and was done within 4 hours. Jim was very professional and efficient. I will definitely hire him again for any electrical issue. I would give 10 stars if that was an option. Highly recommended!!

New to the area, I read the review already online for Excel and called.  My call was returned promptly, he called to let us know he would run a bit late so we felt assured, and a really no-fuss, no drama, tidy job at a fair price all made this service a gem.  I have added Excel to my contacts list and will share with confidence.  A star!

Quite possibly the nicest people I have ever met.  Our heat went out on Wednesday and we made the mistake of calling another repairman first.  After waiting a few days for a response we finally called Riley Electrical Services.  We only wish we would have called them first. They were at our house within an hour of our call and set to work fixing the mistakes that the other repairman made.  We ended up needing a new furnace and they helped us make a decision that we felt comfortable with, that also didn't break our bank. While we were waiting for our replacement furnace we were called twice in the morning just so he could check up on how we were holding up with no heat.  He came today and installed our furnace and we couldn't be happier. If you need any work done, don't call anyone else (trust us!) call Riley Electrical Services, you won't be disappointed!

Estimator seemed unsure how their tool to estimate worked and never did his follow up commitments without a customer follow up contact.

Tim, our technician, worked tirelessly to complete our job which included installing two ceiling fans and light fixtures where no junction boxes existed.  He was extremely courteous and showed us pictures of the work he did while in the attic.  The attic space was very confined and difficult to maneuver in, making the install anything but routine.

Tim could have easily said the job couldn't be done given the restricted attic access, but he persevered with creativity and did a wonderful job!

don't waste your time. owner shows up unannounce. got him from home warranty company. slow, slow, and slow. Too busy trying to get more work from you instead of fixing the issues. touching stuff around the house. creepy

Let me start by saying this was contractor #7 I contacted to do this job.  The other 6 stalled somewhere between showing up to give an estimate - all the way to pulling a no show when the quote was accepted and the job was scheduled.  Needless to say, I was pleased when someone finally showed up to do the work.

I was able to schedule the job within several business days of contacting them.  They charge an hourly rate - and I opted to provide materials.  I needed a water damaged spot in the sub-floor in the master bathroom repaired - which then required the flooring to be replaced.  Of course, all the linoleum had to be removed and the toilet taken out.  No small job, despite the small spot damaged.  But the work was mandatory as we are working to sell the house this year.

I dealt with one person and he was quite pleasant.  Communication was good with the company - reminder, notice of who was coming, etc.  The worker went about his business with little bother to me.  He only let me know when he was going to pick up materials and asked my input about the replacement tiles.

The one thing that disappointed me - he didn't go to the most convenient store - so he got stuck in traffic which cost him time and ME MONEY.  I should have been more specific but since I mentioned the name of closest place and he went elsewhere - I thought I had conveyed the information.  WRONG.  Lesson learned.

The delay in traffic kept him from doing another small job I needed done.  But at that point, I wanted to stop paying his hourly fee and called it quits when the job was finished.

He did a nice job of cleaning up and removing his waste materials.  I would use him again for a job that warranted their pricing scale.  I will either do the smaller job myself or find someone who will fix it for a fee.  Recommend if you're done being stood up by all the other contractors but you will pay for the work.  Definitely not a cheap proposition.  And I recommend you buy the materials yourself.
