7-1-20 UPDATE: I called the office and received a call back that day from Patrick the owner. He apologized for the misunderstanding and informed me that electrician was unaware the fees were already included in the quote. He explained that at times there could be additional cost based on different structural layouts, but in my case that was not the issue. He promised to refund the additional charges via check. I think when dealing professionals it's important to maintain a level of integrity, and I believe Pat is a man of integrity. God is good

( Initial Review) I called around to get quotes and they were not the most expensive or the cheapest, but I proceeded and felt my quote was reasonable for 2 ceiling fans and a chandelier. I was quoted $125 a fan and $444 for my chandelier. When I called the office back and indicated I would only need 1 ceiling fan, not 2. She said to take $125 off and they'd be there at around 9:30. They got there around 10:00 and proceeded to review the job. The election said fans were $150,even though the work order he had in his hand showed $125. He said their trip fee was $69(not included in my quote) and even though the order said scaffolding was extra, he proceeded to tell me I had to pay for the ladder! Which was an extra $80. Seriously??? They were already in my house and I was not going to go back and forth with the labor, but I will call the office and express my opinion about bating customers with 1 price and charging $150 in extras that were not communicated. It is always critical to have a utility repair person/company that you can have confidence in. Property -Tech Industries is that company for me. This the second time for me to use this outstanding electric repair company. Today I had the pleasure of having John take care of my electrical issues. John was at my residence exactly when he said he would be. I received a few estimate a few days ago and this company is more than fair with their estimate. John is very knowledgeable and explains all of the work to be completed as well as performing a walk through afterwards to ensure your satisfaction. They are a six star company and I highly recommend them!

If I could give the service 0 stars I would because I was incredibly disappointed in the level of professionalism displayed by Michelle Neff. We had recently found out that we had a water main leak from the city we needed to get fixed within 14 days. I got Michelle's information from the list of city approved contractors. On our first conversation, I was relieved that she seemed like the fix would be easy and not a big deal. We scheduled an appointment for the following day. The next day arrived and an hour after our scheduled appointment, I received a call from her saying she was running late at a previous job and could she come out later that night or the following day. I told her my husband would be home the rest of the evening for her to come over when she was finished to which she agreed would be okay with her schedule. As the night progressed, still no word from Michelle. I sent her a message stating we were turning in for the night and asked if the following day would work. After no hearing back from her the following day, I sent her a message thanking her for her time and explaining that my husband and I would be exploring other options and there was no need for her to come out later that evening.

It was her response was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. Her words, ...sounds like you are angry sorry I'm not a fire department...this is for the best customers like you are always a pain in the ass good luck with your problem pleased it's not mine. One thing I do no run out of is leaking pipes to repair sorry you are so very impatient good bye. On her website, she states she knows how to run a business in a professional courteous and fairly priced way. While I cannot speak to her pricing, I found her conduct anything but professional and courteous. I should have known not work with a company whose only positive review came from the owner herself. Homeowner beware. There are lots of other good, respectful electricians and plumbers in the Columbus area and Neff Electric and Plumbing is not one of them.

Air Quest Heating & Cooling

Over the period of about two months my family and I tried to make arrangements to have this company evaluate my residence for a percieved reduced air flow issue in a few upstairs bedrooms. I was able to actually get an appointment set with a whole house HVAC venting system cleaned first (at the tune of $400) followed by the AC technician (Owner) to come by and give that inspection and hopefully get a system enhancement arranged. After cleaning system was complete, I called and asked where the technician((owner)) was and asked for an ETA. I was told someone (either technician-owner or secretary) would get right back to me with that information and NEVER heard a word, now this is three days later and I have not heard. These people are too busy for you or me, just don't bother using them and your expectations will not be missed. Disrespectful, unprofessional is my total opinion.

Romanoff Group

We moved into our new build home in the fall of 2020. Romanoff was the company contracted by our builder. After move in - we wanted to have the wall above our fireplace wired to hang our TV. Our next-door neighbors (who have the IDENTICAL floorplan to our home) had just had Romanoff do this just weeks prior. They were quoted $180 and paid $180.

Fast forward to our experience - we too were quoted $180 - but when the bill came due - we were charged $330. Not only this, the technician who came to do the job literally said that he didn't know how to do the wiring above the fireplace (?!) and my husband had to WALK HIM NEXT DOOR to inspect the job that had been done at our neighbor's house just a few weeks prior.

When attempting to contact Romanoff to discuss our concerns - we were given the run around for LITERAL MONTHS (roughly 5 months to be exact). When I finally was able to speak with the Division Manager - he tried to explain the discrepancy by stating that our job took an hour or so longer and thus cost more. He went on to state that labor cost ~$50 per hour. When I commented that $180 + $50 equaled ~230 and NOT $330 - he was unable and unwilling to provide an explanation for the difference in cost. I additionally expressed my frustration that the job took longer to complete, because the technician had to be WALKED NEXT DOOR to our neighbors' home to inspect their job. He had no comment for this. Not only this - he was incredibly rude and told me that I was frustrated only because I wasn't getting my way. They ended up refunding us an arbitrary $70 - but even then, wrote the check to the wrong name and were very difficult when we requested a check with the correct name.

We will NEVER hire Romanoff again. We sincerely felt as though we were scammed and would never recommend their services to anyone.

Fast Response Heating and Cooling

This company is terrible and not fast or responsive either like their name suggests. American Home Shield uses them as their vendor of choice and it's apparent that they don't believe in taking care of their customers either. My air conditioning has been out since 05/27 and it's now 07/08 and I still have no air; even after 3 visits to my house, no air over July 4th and several no call no shows; $300 later still no working air conditioner. They lie and say they knocked on your door and they left because they got no answer, or they say they are sorry they went to the wrong house and they also say they called you and left a message only to check your phone and there are no messages. They are crooks and liars and I will never business or attempt to business with them again. I could go on on what happened the last 30 days and talk about the time I spent on hold for hours just waiting to talk to someone but I won't; just do yourself a favor and call someone else, you'll be glad you did.
