Avi really helped me out today! My toilet had a slow leak into my neighbors ceiling below me. In a condo this is very distressing and we wanted to get it taken care of quickly. Avi was able to come over within 30 minutes and was in and out in about an hour, identifying and fixing the issue other plumbers had not. He's a very efficient and friendly guy with fair prices and I would absolutely use him again.

My toilet had a slow and inconsistent flush for over 9 months. During this time, two separate and licensed plumbers changed the flapper. After the issue persisted, one plumber suggested the only option I had was to replace the toilet entirely. Avi came last week and immediately identified the issue. He resolved the matter quickly and didn't try to upsell me on any labor or parts, despite originally being scheduled to replace a larger part we thought was the problem. I'm so grateful to have found Avi, whose honesty and integrity saved me a huge headache and thousands of dollars in replacing a toilet with new construction. I will definitely be calling Avi in the future!

Had to get an old bathroom faucet removed that required removing the sink to get behind the tub, or go under the house. Avi initially gave me a quote for possibly opening the drywall, but when he found that there was an entrance to the tub, he deducted the amount from the estimate. Apparently he's been doing this for 30 years. He definitely knows what he's doing and very honest, which is hard to find these days. Thanks Avi!

Avi has a lot of great reviews , but I couldn't know, until I met him and saw his approach to working, just how great he was. He was so helpful, so caring about details, and pointed out things I wouldn't have imagined I should ask. And then there's the name of his company: Affordable Plumbing. His work (on 4 projects) was literally 1/4 of the quote I got from another plummer. And he was willing to look to see whether something could be repaired, rather than just asserting that everything that had a problem needed to be replaced. Really grateful I trusted enough to call him up. Found my LA Plummer. Yay!!!

I live in a condo building with complete crap plumbing. We came home to our dual sinks full of black stinky water. And here's what's weird -- we don't even cook so there is no food build-up in our disposal - we don't even use the disposal.

One quick text and we get an appointment with the amazing team at Affordable Plumbing. They busted out the clog, cleaned it all up and were on time, professional and awesome to work with. I can't say enough about this company.

What can I say about this guy? This plumber Avi is simply amazing. There are not enough adjectives to describe him.

First of all, I have used Affordable plumbing (Avi) about 10 times for different plumbing needs to my house as well as my 2nd house at the back. This guy always comes through with quality work every single time. It is called Affordable plumbing for a reason. I assure you he will not rip you off unlike the major name plumbing companies. His prices are really that affordable.

I had trouble with my bathtub which was really clogged up and needed it fixed. I called a few places just to compare their quotes and the quote Avi gave me. I was really surprised how much cheaper his price quote was. So I called Avi a day before to confirm for the following day.

Avi came on time and communicated with me well on both days and he went straight to work. He said it will not drain with the snake and thus I would need to replace my old metal pipe to a new abs plastic one. This required a lot of work. He had to crawl underneath my house to cut out the old metal pipe and put the plastic one in. I was watching him the whole time and he is very meticulous with his work. I turned on the shower and faucet to make sure it was draining properly and was very pleased with the work plus he did it for an affordable price.

Avi has also fixed my toilets when they wouldn't flush, my kitchen sink when they were clogged, my bathroom sink when it wouldn't drain, my washing machine when it wouldn't drain properly as well my water heater when it was leaking (saved me a lot of money on that one) or else I would have to buy a new one which is over $1,000.

I cannot thank Avi enough for the quality work that he has done to my house as well as my secondary house. You will surely not be disappointed with the price and the completed work. Thank you Avi and I will continue to use your services in the future.

This is one of the best vendors I have worked with in LA for any kind of job.

I've asked Avi to do work that he didn't think needed to be done - and he told me don't do it. He was right and saved me money. Show me another plumber who will turn down work b/c it was better for the customer.

He has been out to our house multiple times with no pay and deserves 6 stars if that were possible.

Avi is amazing! And most importantly...HONEST!
He's been to my place twice now and I will definitely call on him again. The first time he fixed the job and did it for 1/4 of the nearest estimate. This last time he came on a Sunday and diagnosed & fixed the problem almost immediately. I had a leak below my condo unit that had been an ongoing problem. Other plumbers told me that the whole thing needed to be replaced and quoted me several thousand dollars to complete the job. Avi came in and realized it was a minor crack in the shower that was causing the leak and fixed it for $150. I was so happy that I gave him a $100 tip. He called me soon after to tell me that he thought I made a mistake and overpaid him! He's the best.

I concur with all the superlatives already given to Avi. Not only was he extremely reasonable in his cost on a Sunday morning, but he was superbly knowledgeable and efficient. Like someone else wrote, he did not stop until he had a solution. He was extremely pleasant, wore a mask, and was very agreeable even though he was working under really tight circumstances and really old and Makeshift plumbing. We had about 5 to 6 stops and starts until everything was fixed. But when he said don't worry I will take care of you he did. I would highly recommend him.

We've had a persistent leak under our kitchen sink. Avi was the third plumber to attempt to figure it out and fix it. Not only did he diagnose it correctly and fix it, he explained the situation in detail. His prices were fair. We will definitely be using him again.

We used him on a few houses and it went fine. His bedside manner
leaves a lot to be desired but hey he has done decent work in the past.

Now he wants a lot of money to disconnect an old waterheater
and reconnect a new one that is standing right next to it and light it,
no parts, no taking away anything just an easy switchover max 30
minutes worth of easy work. He seems to be angry at the world and
that's to bad. We wish him the best. There are a lot of very nice
plumbers out there. ( The gas company will do it for less than him )

It seems workmen/ are good for a while and then they think that you owe
them and want to hose you down. We found him on Yelp here and in the past he was good.

Happily, Avi was available on short notice to address a nettlesome plumbing challenge. We had a broken undermount bathroom basin held in place by liquid nail. There was a good chance that demo'ing the broken basin would damage the whole double-sink vanity.

Avi worked his magic with extraordinary efficiency. He honored his quote even though the task was more complex than he originally imagined. Avi is a cheerful, energetic, crisp professional. If you live in his service area (principally Hollywood and West Hollywood) you need look no further, IMO, for your plumbing needs.

Avi was easy to reach. I was able to text him both my address and to confirm my appointment time. (Sometimes it's easier for me to text versus making phone calls! So I appreciate that!)

I have an small apartment building in West Hollywood, so I was looking for a reliable, long-term, plumber that I could trust not to screw me over.

First time I called him, turned out it was something he couldnt fix, but he did diagnosis that the appliance needed to be replaced and he didn't charge us for the trip or the diagnosis.

The second time, it turned out that my tenant had hired him before so he was already familiar with unit and the tenant. That made me feel more comfortable having him work in my tenants unit without my direct/constant supervision. (I like to supervise new contractors while they work in my tenants units until I build a relationship and trust with them).

The third visit, he fixed my tenants dishwasher that wouldn't power on. Some plumbers would just tell you it's broken and have you pay for a new dishwasher plus installation. $$$$ turns out it was just disconnected... he also replaced a disposal and under sink pipes in another unit during that same visit.

He accepts credit card! And he sends an email invoice immediately! Makes bookkeeping so easy and automatic! Very professional, efficient, and he makes it easier for me to not have a property management company! Win for everyone

Last Sunday I had an emergency where my bathroom sink was backing up with my upstairs neighbor's water as our pipes are somehow connected. After frantically trying to get the water cleared myself, I realized I needed help.

Avi was already in West Hollywood area and literally came about 20 minutes after we spoke. He was patient in parking in my garage (which is tight and there was no street parking). He joked his parking/reversing/12 point turn to get into my spot would take longer than it will for him to clear the drain AND HE WAS RIGHT!

He was in and out of my apartment and cleared the clog issue within 10 minutes.

Since I was paying myself out of pocket and not my landlord (I dislike the plumber my landlord uses so I always just pay for my own) he gave me a discount which was very nice and not necessary. He truly cares about his clients I can tell just from this one experience.

I absolutely will use them again!

I saw all of these 5 Star Reviews and thought there is no way Avi could be as good as all of them said he was. Well I was right, HE IS EVEN BETTER!! Came over for a low pressure in my master bath and kitchen sink and was in and out in 10 minutes and both problems solved almost as soon as he walked in. Beyond nice and always gave you the cheapest alternative if you didn't need the more expensive option. He is my plumber for life and if you read my other reviews on here you know I am a very critical reviewer when I have to be.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!

Fi rst, I've been a licensed General Contractor for almost 20 years, I just prefer not to do my own plumbing.

Showed up at my place telling me that changing 2 existing shut off valves under the sink involved cutting studs (which was a complete and total LIE)

Refused to provide me with a fixed estimate - a total hustle...

My boyfriend and I moved back into my condo after being away for a few years. We discovered on a Sunday morning that our shower wasn't running hot water. Having had a great experience with Avi in the past, I immediately called him. He responded right away, and after a few calls and pictures of our shower plumbing, he was able to diagnose the issue over the phone. Rather than coming out and having us incur a costly repair, he walked my bfriend through the fix. Avi is amazing and didn't give up until he found a solution. Really good and reliable plumber!

I called on a Sunday morning when my sink was backed up and Avi was on it. He gave me an immediately quote with no run-around, showed up even sooner than promised, and called to let me know when he was on the way.

Avner is the best! My wife dropped her wedding ring in the sink. I called Avner at 7pm and he was here within 20 minutes.

He was able to find the ring within minutes and even checked other plumbings around the house and fixed my shower's water pressure.

At check out, he charged me less than quoted and refused to accept a dime more. He is a good and honest man. I will, without a doubt, have him come back to any plumbing issues and will refer him to everyone.

I can not recommend Avi enough! I had another plumbing company come out and I was told that my shower would cost $750 to fix not including the drywall they would have to break to get to the back of the shower! I decided to get a second option and I found Avi! Avi came out the next morning and was able to fix my shower with just the $120 service fee! He has earned a customer for life and I will refer all my friends and family to him! Highly recommend!

I called few places to get a quote for bathroom sink clog and toilet flapper replacement. Avner, the owner was the most respectful and honest about pricing. I scheduled an appointment that same day and he came within 2 hours. Avner was able to explain what was causing problems and also advised me on necessary things to do in order to prevent from happening again. Every time I've called Affordable Plumbing, I've gotten great results. Easy to schedule, arrives right on time, does great work, very professional, goes above and beyond. Today was a great example. Avi saved my life today (well not literally, but almost because I was about to have a mental breakdown). I was in tears from my sink overflowing over the past few days. I had a plumber come out earlier from First American Home Warranty (horrible service from Original Westwood Plumbing)and they could not fix my backed up sink. Affordable Plumbing is Amazing - especially Avi! He was quick, honest, and respectful. Our condo is part of an older building and Avi quickly figured out that the problem was not with our sink, but the unit below us. He confirmed that it would be fixed after the unit below was fixed, and didn't charge us the full repair rate - simply a service call/estimate fee. He cleaned the area where he was working, and left everything better than he found it. Just like others have said, you don't find people like him everyday. If you need a great plumber look no further!! Avi is terrific. I called him about a difficult washer/dryer installation and gas grill hookup at my new place. He came right when he said he would, and he was able to diagnose and troubleshoot and fix the problems where another company couldn't. He even pulled a valve from his truck to make sure the one I had did the job. His hourly is very reasonable. He even loves dogs! Call this guy!

Called for a quote on uninstalling a clothes washer and installing a new one. Was told the job would take a couple of hrs and minimum charge $250. I really didn't think the task was that involved so tried a few other places. Someone else came round took 20 mins and charged $80. That is all.

I think I may have just found the best plumber in L.A. Avi really knows his stuff. I had a blocked kitchen sink, which sounds like no big deal -- but Avi got to the bottom of a chronic issue that we had no idea was connected to the sink drain. The line from the sink was just so full of sludge that not only was our sink backing up but the dishwater air gap was shooting water everywhere. We had three previous plumbers take a look and no one figured it out until Avi. We also had a toilet that was wobbly like an uneven restaurant table. He removed the toilet and found that the guy who installed it did it wrong. You could tell by looking at it, but when it's under a toilet you don't see it. Anyway, he fixed our water pressure in both showers as well. And not only was he reasonable -- he was worth every penny. He's my go-to-guy now. Plus, my dog liked him...

We had a severely blocked line to the sewer and Avi did a terrific job. Our clean out line was inside the house and this presented a real challenge. So he and his crew first detected where the line went out to the street and put in a new clean out line outside that connected to it. This led to him successfully cleaning the roots out and the system is working fine now. Avi was professional and kept in touch with us - I've never had a plumber text me and ask if things are ok. He realized that not having a sewer line was an emergency for us and acted accordingly. I recommend him highly.

Update: After two years, the line got blocked again. Stuff gets stuck, such as plant roots. Although this was not as bad blockage as before, Avi was on site within a short time and got the job done. He's the best!

horrible. spent thousands of dollars on different services. when my water heater that they installed less than 2 years ago it needed an ignition kit that they had to pick up from the distrubitor that they purchased the water heater from. This review is for Thanksgiving Eve. Sorry it's taken me so long to write it.

These guys are superheros.

9pm, the night before Thanksgiving, 15 people coming over in 18 hours. A sink over-flowing with dishes and there is a puddle growing on the floor in front of the sink. I turned on the water and the puddle quickly became a lake.

We called another plumber Mike Shine Bright Like A -------. DO NOT USE THOSE GUYS.
Came out and told us we needed to completely re-plumb our sink and that he would need to come back in the morning and drill through the wall to make a new drain. We were told $3000.

If it weren't for my friend looking on yelp, we might have gone with it. She found Affordable Plumbing on yelp with all of the great reviews--We paid the Mike D guy $300 and sent him on his way.

Called Avner--it's almost 11pm at this point the night before Thanksgiving. I think we woke him up. We tried to explain the problem, took pictures etc...and he said he would come by but he would change $1000 or more depending on the problem.

What were we going to do? So, Avner came by and within 10 minutes had fixed the problem. He then said he would only charge us $300 because the job was much easier than he thought.
Needless to say, we tipped him very well.

The sink is fixed to this day. Haven't had a problem since.

Honest and fair. What else can I tell you? This is a reasonable no B.S. guy who will take the time to explain to you what is going on, and this is an issue in L.A. because with all the crappy old street pipes it is sometimes hard to tell where the problem is. The last time he came we lived in Hancock Park where the pipes are literally 90 years old and often wrapped with tree roots.

We have since moved and I need him again and there is no one else I am going to call. You don't need a guy from the radio, because someone has to pay for those ads and it's going to be you! Trust Avi!

Our business was having floor drain issues in the bathroom. The room would flood if any water was being used which was proving quite a challenge for our productivity. We just moved into the new office so we were desperate for a solution. I called Avi and he came by right on schedule for an inspection and we realized it was a much more serious issue than a clogged drain. I called Avi because of the wonderful Yelp reviews.

He responded immediately and came over within a few hours and fixed the clog in the bathroom sink. He quoted me a price on the phone and that was what it stayed, although he needed to be there for quite a while.
I was not able to be there to pay him and he accepted payment over the phone. I appreciated his trust although he did not know me.

If I could give Avi a better review I would. He came the night before thanksgiving until 12:30 after Mike Diamond had came and gutted our kitchen sink. What was a small crack/leak the other plumber said needed to be completely redone when I clearly said I would be remodeling in 2 months so I needed something to just get me through that time. On top of that he wanted $700!!! After removing all the plumbing enough was enough and I looked for another plumber. After reading all the other reviews I had to call for Avi. I called from Austin, TX for my dad who had just been released from the hospital in LA and his bathroom pipe broke and was leaking all over. Avi I s amazing and very dedicated. My washer was leaking water and he was supposed to come the following day and instead called to see if i was available now! He was at my home in 10 minutes went right to work we watched to washer on spin when it is supposed to drain but it did not leak water like it did a few days before. Why i don't know but he was kind, respectful and explained to me water on the bottom that leaks from the back to the front is the pipe and water that ;leaks from the front it is the machine! He said it's not leaking now for some reason if it leaks form the back give me a call! HE DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE STOP BY! WOW WOW WOW! I found him from Yelp and i will call him in the future! I called and we scheduled an appt, then the night before he called to reconfirm. Very prompt and professional.

My shower had been leaking for months and months and I'd had two other plumbers come in and give me quotes for over a thousand dollars to replace piping behind the wall! I live in an old home built in 1940 with weird old plumbing, my landlord was supposed to be the one taking care of it but they obviously suck so I decided to try again and called Affordable Plumbing. This is my 1st ever (!) yelp review.Usually I am a skeptic when I see so many glowing reviews... I figure that they are from friends and relatives. But, since my water heater was leaking all over the floor, which left me, and my tenant without any hot water, I decided to give Avi and Affordable Plumbing a chance any way. (I did get quotes from other plumbers as well). Avi not only had the best price, but he got here at exactly the time he said he would, diagnosed the problem, left to buy the new water heater (which by the way he said would cost more than what he quoted me over the phone - based on the size - but he ended up not charging any extra).

We had a leak in the exposed piping under our bathroom sink. I called Avi and scheduled an appointment for the next day - he confirmed in the morning. Because the previous work had been botched, he had to remove part of the wall to install the new chrome piping.

We live out of Avi's service area as I found out when I called him today, on Christmas day, but Avi helped all he could over the phone leading me to resolve our plumbing problem by myself with his help of course, and I'm not a plumber. Avi is a really nice and honest guy. I'm coming off of having used a plumber a few years ago who was very interested in upselling. That plumber seemed to think solving a drip was going to cost over a thousand dollars. So I left the problem alone for years. Avi / Affordable Plumbing deserves these excellent reviews. He came over on short notice, on Sunday late afternoon, to clear a bathroom sink stoppage. The job was not as easy as it looked, Avi stuck with it, got the job done. After that he agreed to fix a leaky shower valve. He did not just put in a washer but figured out that the valve seat had cracked, replaced it, and charged a VERY reasonable price, a good price for weekday work, and this was at the end of the weekend.

Avi took extra time and thoughtfulness - twice - to make sure things were done right, not just expediently. FOR SURE my go-to plumber from here.

I called Avi on a Thursday after trying my own hand at fixing a bathroom sink clog. After messing up the job myself, Avi had me send some pictures of the problem (rusted out T and broken pipe), gave me an estimate and committed to be there first thing the next morning. I recently had an issue with my toilet and called. Within 30 minutes they arrived and fixed the problem, but that's not all. They also fixed the leaky sink faucet and the low water pressure shower. Within an hour of calling: My toilet was fixed, my faucet no longer leaked, and I had the strongest shower water pressure this side of the Mississippi. I'll NEVER call another plumber. I've had really bad luck with plumbers in the past, but now I have someone to always go to for the future! Avi is wonderful. I had an odd kitchen sink problem and he didn't give up. He even had to make a tool to fit my particular sink since the store didn't sell it. His prices also beat anyone else's I called to fix my problem. Avi is the best!

Avi returned my call quickly. I had a clogged kitchen sink drain; I had made some headway on my own but it was still clogged. Avi gave me a tip over the phone. It worked! Sink no longer clogged. I think he was more surprised and happy than I was... ! He saved me the time and money of a service call... now that's a good plumber! :)

I talked with Avi to get an estimate and it was the most annoying and rude experience I've had in a while. Due to a water leak, I obtained multiple quotes from various plumbers all of which were prompt, professional and courteous. Avi was rude and pretty much yelling on the phone. He promised to call the next morning before noon to let me know when he's coming out to provide an estimate. Never got the call. When I called him and asked him when he's coming, he dismissively stated that he's busy. Then asked me what do you want? He threw out an arbitrary quote over the phone. His attitude was that I should be patient and grateful because he's giving a free estimate. There are too many good plumbers to bother with this one.

Sink clogged: we had no understanding why. I called Avi about 1;30 and he already had an appointment at 2. He said he'd be here between 3 to 4, depending on what occurred at his earlier appointment. He texted at 3:15 saying he was on his way. A bonus point for that alone. The sink, it turns out, was backed up all the way to the clean-out drain outside, mostly clogged with about a 5 year supply (or so it seemed) of used coffee grounds. After he did his scouting for the problem, Avi realized his snake would not work because of the way the plumbing had been done by a name brand installation and plumbing company. The pipe from the disposal went into the pipe to the outside at exactly the same height as the pipe from the second sink, such that the snake from one sink would simply go into and up the other pipe, rather than down into the pipe leading out. So we had to have him redo the plumbing and replace those pipes. He did all this for a VERY reasonable amount considering that he was here for at least an hour and a half. Moreover, he cleaned and cleaned the mess that the coffee grounds (now everywhere) had made. And offered to do more. Avi will be my plumber going forward for any future problems or projects. I am happy that we found him.

Suddenly needing a plumber is always stressful -- we had friends on a cross-country tour who were due at our place within hours to stay over the weekend and the tub in the guest bathroom was leaking badly. Avi was on the scene at the appointed time, assessed the problem, gave a reasonable estimate of the cost, did the work and was on his way within an hour. Bonus - we're in West Hollywood and he was close by.

Avi was excellent. I was not quite sure what was wrong with my kitchen faucet/pipes and he asked all the right questions so he could be prepared when he arrived later that day (!!!) Called someone else who wanted to charge me 120, Ali asked for 80.

He actually tried to fix it over the phone with me first, but didnt work. He was professional and honest guy. I would call definitely call him again.

Avner responded to my call within minutes and, even better, was at my door in less than an hour to fix my broken kitchen faucet and for a fee comparable to what other plumbers had quoted - he was just faster and, unlike other contractors who've worked on my house, didn't try to charge more after getting the job.

Avi is fast, honest & affordable. He's not going to make up problems that do not exist or jack up his price at the last minute, and isn't that half the battle with finding the right people to work in your home? The only draw back . . . he's a bit of a bull in a china shop, so cover your floors (or get him some booties to wear) and make sure you have rags on hand to wipe up the mess. It's a trade off that's worthwhile.

Hands Down the Best experience with any service provider Ever! Avi is professional, courteous, prompt and reasonable. Called this A.M for some minor work in the kitchen. He arranged an appointment for the early afternoon and arrived when promised. Avi made a suggestion we change some of the plumbing (old, corroded) which sounded reasonable. He even adjusted the faucet for the quote on the piping alone. I was so pleased that I asked that he check a slow running drain in the bathtub....he again quoted a great price that included replacing the overflow cover plate and trip lever, which previously wouldn't hold the open position and snaked the drain from both ends. Looking forward to showers again! Forget the coupons in the mail and the large plumbing companies. Avi is your guy.

I was extremely pleased with the service provided by Avi. We'd used another plumber in the past but they weren't particularly pleasant to deal with, so when we had a sink stoppage recently I decided to try someone else. Avi answered the phone immediately and without an appointment was at our home in just over an hour, which was even sooner than promised. While he was addressing our issue, he took the time to explain what he was doing so that I could take care of it myself in the future. His pricing was competitive and he was transparent about all of his costs for parts and labor. I also really appreciated his attention to small details like making sure he wiped his feet each time he walked through the door when getting parts from his truck and making a point to clean up around the area he was working. These things aren't expected, but certainly appreciated. I'd be happy to hire Avi again.

I had a very late night plumbing emergency...my faucet was leaking profusely and couldn't be turned off!! I was so relieved to be able to get a hold of Avner who came to my house very quickly and controlled the situation. He came back the next day to replace the faucet and also replaced my ancient garbage disposal and gave me a great deal. Couldn't be more happy with his service!!!

I called on a Sunday to set up an appt to fix a sink with a jammed sink plug. Anver tried to help me on the phone first. But when he realized he'd have to come, he came right over to my surprise. Being a Sunday, it was $120, but I was happy to have it unexpectedly taken care of right away! One less headache to deal with during the week!

Exceptional Service, best plumber I've experienced!
Avi really cares about his work and his clients. I've owned my house for 12 years and went through numerous plumbers during that time and wish I had found Avi earlier than I did. I have being working with him for a couple of years now and he's never let me down, infact he continues to surpass my expectations.
One example is when my Huntington Brass tap was leaking. 3 months of dealing with the supplier and their recommended plumbers who in the end didn't understand the mechanics of the system but always charged me $50 to tell me that, I called Avi.
He hadn't come across the system before but he persevered and spent over 2 hours, taking apart the pipes, talking to the suppliers and reading the manual and he fixed it!!!!
He is extremely trustworthy as well, I rent out a property and when the tenant needs some help, I send Avi out and he always fixs the issue for a very reasonable price.

I was recommended to Affordable Plumbing by a friend, and it might have been the best referral I've ever had. Avi is great. He is always on time, very professional and knowledgable. He never gives you the run around and is very reasonable. I won't let anyone else handle my plumbing. Can't recommend enough!
