I had the best experience with this company. Friendly, efficient, and a beautifully done job!! I couldn't be happier with the overall experience!!

I needed a faulty light socket inspected and replaced with a different fixture as well as a new light/exhaust fan installed. I used yelp messenger to contact Zimmerman. Hourly pricing was given at initial contact with Mark and he said someone would be by between 9-11 am the following day. Art showed up within that time frame and was able to communicate things well to me and gave various options for me. He was efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. I will definitely contact them again if I need any electrical needs.

Wow Greg was a pro! I had some dimming in my lighting and showed him the breaker. He repaired it no problem and everything went smoothly! He was the only electrician that would help me on such short notice, highly HIGHLY recommend!

Zimmerman Electric is by far the VERY BEST electric company in Southern California.  
If you have any electrical needs do not look further. In particular,  Art is exceptional. Sadly, these days ethical and competent service can be impossible to find. This company is the exception.  Top rated for professionalism, knowledge, responsibility, efficiency and honesty.   More than 5 stars.

On gentleman came fixed one outlet put a label - he left and said he couldn't do the rest he needs to leave - a year later I received  a bill of $322 for that
I didn't ask any label! And the wall was damage

I have used Zimmerman in the past, and I was happy with their work.  A short while ago, I asked for them to come out and make a quote on replacing two bathroom heater/light/vent combos.

Their quote was $750 for the downstairs bathroom and $775 for the upstairs bathroom, which totaled $1525.  

There was no breakdown as far as labor and materials and no indication of the quality of the unit they were installing. Therefore, I asked them to give me more details and specify the brand.

They wrote back and said that my new total would be $2460.  Really?

Fast response and very professional service. Definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Seems, I had the same issue as a few others. Had requested a check on an electrical problem going on.  Repairman came out and didn't even look at what was the likely problem.  Replaced something without asking.  Charged me by text???  Didn't fix the issue.  Gained 1 star by at least dropping the price.  Won't be calling them back, which is unfortunate as they are local and advertise in my church circular.

Technician Art was phenomenal.  Professional, pleasant, courteous.  
In-and-out in 35 minutes, assessing & fixing my dead interior wall-outlet problem.  
Art's experienced intuition revealed his own initial theory that a to-be-discovered nearby outlet back-wiring had gone bad.  Art turned-out to be correct, of course.
But even before Art isolated the faulty wall-outlet, Art appeased my request to please check the fuse box circuit breakers.
All circuit breakers were working fine to confirm Art's theory, & I was very comforted knowing the circuit breakers were checked.
After Art located the faulty wall-outlet, he re-wired the outlet restoring power everywhere.
Can't emphasize how pleased & thankful I am to Zimmerman Electric for taking-on my small job, plus hiring excellent employees like Art.  Email correspondences with the owner Mark, and for scheduling, also were timely & terrific.

This is important to me sjnce my company is as well and I want to support them. Their team is loyal and dedicated to providing good work at a reasonable price. I had a small electrical problem that I could not rectify.
I call Zimmerman Electrical Company, based on a recommendation from a neighbor.
I explained my issue with the gentleman who answered and he recommended it try something I didn't think of and to call them back if that didn't work. His suggestion worked and I was able to resolve my problem.
Many vendors would have come out, fixed the problem quickly and then charged me for the call. I understand..that is their business.

The rep from Zimmerman displayed to me the utmost in customer service.

I needed an electrician to come out and install ceiling fan/lights in 2 bedrooms. Zimmerman was quick to respond to my yelp message asking for a rough quote and we then scheduled them for the morning. I am came out around 9 am, with full PPE gear and ready to tackle the task.

He first fixed the switch in one bedroom so the fan could work, then took his time and tested the fan before moving to the next room.

I had never used an electrician and was nervous that they wouldn't assemble the fan (I thought I had to do that part) but Ian handled both room fans perfectly and showed us how to use them.

Ian was professional and polite, and finished around 1130 that day. I would absolutely use them for more electrical work in this older Torrance home. I received the invoice via email a few days and was happy that it was about the same price as originally quoted.

From start to finish, this was the best service experience. I called and the guy I spoke to sent someone over a few hours later to look at what I needed done. I got an estimate later that day. The next morning they came on time and did the job! Our business was open during the time and the electrician (Art) didn't get in the way, he did a beautiful job, and left everything very tidy when he finished. I am very pleased with their service.

I needed a professional electrician to solve an unusual electric problem I was having, and had no recommendations from friends so I chose based on Yelp reviews!  That was a smart move...
I didn't get a quote up front because I didn't know what was involved.  It was a complicated wiring problem that arose in an 80 year old house.
Dave and Ian came - masked - and were here for almost 4 hours, using their expertise and knowledge to finally figure out what the problem was.

Problem solved!!!  And I was going to be mailed a bill .. wasn't sure what they would charge me, but I had faith!  I was stunned by how reasonable they were!!!
If you need help I wholeheartedly recommend them!!!

The referral was through my home warranty company, Old Republic. Initial contact with Ray was pleasant. My appointment was 12/6/16 at 4pm. Ray left a message stating he was running late. When we talked, he was roughly 1-1 1/2 hours behind and asked to come after. No problem.

Ray showed up ~7pm. I gave him a brief explanation, showed him the breaker box, and he checked to see if sockets had power. Since it was late and dark, Ray asked to come another day because he said it could take hours for him to find the issue, he may have to go inside the walls, and mentioned something about the GFIs. I was kind of startled when he asked if it would be okay for him to come in, assess, and do work while I wasn't home. Uhhh...hell NO! Who does that before confirming the issue with a homeowner, first of all?!

Ray said his boss, Mark, would call me to reschedule. A week later, still no call. I called Ray's cell. He assumed I had already spoke with Mark then said someone must have forgot to call me. He gave me Mark's cell number so I called and left him a mesaage. A week later, still no call! At this point, there was too much back and forth and I needed work done so I could host Christmas dinner.

I found a handyman who came the day after I called him. One socket was incorrectly wired and tripped the others. There was no going in the wall and no hours worth of work as Ray suggested I may need. Smh!! One socket cover was unscrewed, a wire was capped, and everything was working and tested within an hour.

Finally, a few days after my work was completed by the handyman, another technician called to reschedule. Too late!! Mark also called, same day, hours later. Again, too late!

Zimmerman completed no assessment, no work, and couldn't call back in a sufficient time frame. Yet, they submitted a false bill to my warranty company for payment. Frauds!! Even the date on the work order was false! The dishonesty is shameful.

Really good at remote communication, They were emailing to help setup the best appt slot. Their person was ontime, polite, and got right to work. Very reasonable $95 per hour  and seems like they did good work! Thanks again for making it easy and painless.

We called Zimmerman based upon these reviews so I feel compelled to write one.  We've had them come by to add a socket for a dryer (2 visits) and to add a socket for EV (2 visits).  They accomplished what they said they would however, they were never on time and when they came for the EV instal they knew they needed 2 people (they had already been here twice before).  They showed up well over an hour late with only 1 person.  That won't work.  So then they had to come back.  Once again well over an hour late and over 4 hours later we do have a place to plug in the EV but I've wasted 2 days off of work in the process.  In theory their prices would be what is expected but considering I've taken 4 days off of work to accomplish 2 jobs... they are really expensive.

I have used Zimmerman many times over the years and they have always done a great job.  They are quick to assess the problem and fix it.  They installed the electrical and ceiling fans for me a few years ago and they did a great job with that as well.

Great service overall with this group of electricians. They are extremely knowledgeable and it's no wonder they have so many highly rated reviews. They helped us with a backyard power project and are going to be our electricians of choice in the future. Very easy to communicate with and helpful in explaining what needs to be done. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dave was fantastic! He was super nice, showed up on time and worked fast. I have hired them twice and both times I have been a happy customer.

We called Zimmerman based on a suggestion from a friend. They were quick to respond to our questions over the phone and had an appointment scheduled quickly.

We had Dave show up early to our appointment and begin methodically looking through all our problems. Needless to say, Dave fixed our issues quickly and is extremely knowledgeable with codes, etc.

Horrific. A simple job turned into a nightmare. This company sent a man who could not fix outdoor lights even though it was a simple conversion to newer boxes. The wiring was already constructed. One of their employees wired the lights so that I could not turn lights on or off inside the house as was the original setting and he couldn't understand why that bothered me.
Duh.  I need to turn them on or off inside the house in case of power outage etc. I explained.

Then upon returning for the 3rd time they sent yet another person who fixed it but wired the outdoor light to a different switch inside the house.
They are simply incompetent and one should never use them.

Been using them for electrical work for many years now. Always prompt professional and high quality work.

After extensive dealings with this company they are habitually late.  Today they had a scheduled appointment at time of 10 AM, it's now 11:01 and they still are not here. Unfortunately the last time this happened I gave them a chance and today they proved that they really have no respect for customers.

Zimmerman Electric had good quality workmanship and were easy to work with. I'd recommend them.

Absolutely utilize and support this local business. My elderly mother was having problems with power fluctuations that were causing damage to appliances and creating potential fire hazards. The power company was dragging it's feet in sending someone out to look into the problem. After several days of no help from the utility, we called Zimmerman. Within a couple of hours, and on the schedule we were promised, a clean, courteous, and knowledgeable electrician was at her house diagnosing the problem. He spoke directly to the utility and we were able to get an urgent order for repair placed. This is DEFINITELY a five star company and is now both my mother's and my go to choice for electricians.

All work was done neatly and professionally.  Results were great. Quality is perfect. David removed existing fluorescent lights in kitchen and replaced them with canned lights.  He also repaired hall lights.  I'll be glad to hire Zimmerman Electric again.

These folks were very professional and knew their stuff.  I had an appointment scheduled
for an emergency after a weekend and they came out right away.  John was very courteous and always called back promptly.  He sent his man Greg who started to work immediately and methodically to resolve our problem.  He had to run out to get new parts and always kept us informed and even came back out during dinner-time to finish up.  Their expertise was amazing and they always fully explained in detail what needed to be done. Their prices were fair and their work was top-notch.  I will use them again in the future and I highly recommend them to others.

I would give this company 10 stars if I could.  I called Mark Zimmerman the other evening because of a power outage in my kitchen and living room.  I was in a panic because my refrigerator lost the power.  He was willing to come out on an after-hours call but he suggested for me to run an extension cord to another outlet to save a little money since it was after hours.  We scheduled for the next afternoon.  I left work early and Dave the electrician called me prior to arriving and was right on time.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it.  Dave told me I would receive the bill in the mail and he explained what the hourly rate was and what parts would be billed to me so there would be no surprises.  I would highly recommend this company for their true professionalism.

A family member recomened them and she was right.  They were flexible and prompt and did a great job.  Tracked down a part for me too.  Really friendly, clean and courteous.  They won't over charge either!

John Zimmerman and his people (I most recently dealt with David) are excellent.  They show up on time, they call to confirm appointments and they complete work in a very efficient manner.  I would recommend them without reservations.
