I am managing a home restoration/renovation project in Highland Park, CA and reached out to United on getting an estimate. They were timely, easy to work with, and sent out their plumbing inspector Arthur. Arthur was diligent, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond what he was asked to do for us on the inspection. He gave us his honest opinion on what needed to be done and felt that another company could handle the scope of our project better than he could. More than this, he recommended another plumber who could get it done for cheaper and quicker.

His honesty, customer service, and knowledge were greatly appreciated! If I ever need a plumber on a smaller job in the future, I will def reach out to and highly recommend Arthur over at United Plumbing!

They came out to do a Tesla charger install and then never got back to us with an estimate. We called and spoke to manager/dispatch several times about asking to schedule the service and send us the quote and they just literally never followed up. It's been going on for a couple months, finally went with someone else. Do not go with them if you're hoping for prompt work and good communication.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I called them to quote an install of an inline fan in my master bathroom. Technician came out and literally did nothing to review the site. He walked into the house, looked at a wall where the fan would go (no desire to look in the attic or investigate how it would need to be installed), and was done in less than 5 minutes.

Following this, I had to call them 3 day later to ask if I was going to get a quote sent. They sent it immediately following the call. No detail in quote. No breakout of labor vs equipment. No reference to what sort of fan was spec'd. I emailed back and asked if the quote was for both parts and labor and they answered that indeed it was. I then emailed asking for the specs on the fan so I could figure out if it was appropriate for the space. No answer. A couple days later I email again. No answer. I finally called them a few days after that and they apologized for not getting back and said they'd get me the info the next morning during a meeting with the staff and call me righ away. Three days later, no call. I call them again - lots of apologies for not getting back. They say they are going to find out and get right back to me. Three more days pass. No call back. Finally, I call one last time and I'm like - what's the deal??? Can you not even send specs on the fan? Can you not return a customer's call?? Oh sorry, they say, um yeah, the technician couldn't find the fan so they can't do it. Can't do what? Can't get me specs for a theoretical fan they quoted $1600 for? Can't find any fans in stock? Can't install fans that they came out and said they could install?

This place is just absurd. I wasted two weeks chasing them and now will have to spend more time finding someone to do this job. Horrible customer service. Technicians who don't know what they are doing. Don't waste your time.

We had an electrical issue related to our Nest video doorbell that had stumped our contractor, so I called United. Vic G. came out that same afternoon, and diagnosed the problem, which turned out to be more complicated than we realized. He was able to fix the issue and get the system running. Fast response plus professional service = Top Rating.

I do not believe this is a trustworthy company. They came out to look at a partial power outage in my house. Over the phone he told me it would cost $89 for the tech to come look at the problem, plus the cost of any necessary repairs. Turns out it was a problem with the power source (thanks LADWP!) that the city needed to fix.

When it came time for him to leave, he tried to charge me $89 for the visit, plus $125 for troubleshooting. The guy had only been there for 20-30 minutes, tops! He had made no repairs at all and had not asked me or my roommate for permission to do said troubleshooting. Plus, one would assume basic troubleshooting would be included in coming out to see what the problem is.

I told him there was no way I was paying that because he had not asked me to approve that additional cost. He immediately backed down (another sign that he knew he was full of it). I definitely felt like he was looking to take advantage of the fact that I am a young, female, clearly inexperienced homeowner. I would not use this company again.

These guys are always punctual, knowledgeable and diligent in their work. I have used them a couple of times and will continue to. Vic did the work, and did a good job, quickly and efficiently. The only downside is their prices are so low that Vic left me to finish the job of hiding the wires on the wall because he didn't have time and didnt have the wire covering. But I agreed to do it myself as it was quite easy.

After having work done by this company I had sent in a copy of my invoice to my solar company. The electrician told me that my solar company put in used and faulty parts. And I heard back from the solar company after submitting a complaint and wanting my money back and that's when they told me that my electrician was lying and they sent me pictures of the work they did. I made numerous attempts and after the fourth attempt and not receiving a return call I finally had to close my complaint with my solar company. So needless to say, I do not recommend this company for anything. The work that they did that I probably did not need cost me $1200.

I had an electrical problem and Vic did troubleshooting and figured out my problem. He was very professional and expained thoroughly what had to be done and he fixed the electrical situation. He is very knowledgeable and takes alot of pride in his work, that goes along way for me as a customer!
I would definitely call them for any electrical needs!

Hired United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric to take a look at our AC unit. Our AC didn't seem to be working properly. On a hot day, our house would eventually lose the battle of staying cool around mid-afternoon. A United technician came out and said we were low on freon. He thought this was strange since our AC unit was only 6 years old. He replenished our freon at a cost of hundreds of dollars. After a few months, the problem returned. We called a different AC company. The technician told us we had a leak in our line, which is why we were losing freon. We had the line replaced at replenished the freon again (again at a cost of hundreds of dollars). The technician who fixed the leak diagnosed the problem pretty quickly.

When I called United to let them know they misdiagnosed our problem, the manager I spoke with denied any responsibility, claiming there's no way of proving the leak existed when they came out. It seemed blatantly obvious to me.

Reading other reviews I found discovered this is not the first time this has happened. They have done this to other customers. I guess they hope they can keep coming back every 6 months to refill freon and gouge customers without ever fixing the problem.

United's mistake cost me hundreds of dollars in wasted freon, and hundreds of dollars more because my AC system was working harder and longer to make up for the fact that it was impaired by leaking freon. I will never use United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric again.

My house now cools beautifully even on the hottest days.

Shout out to Adrian Garcia, the electrician who came to my home today. Polite, friendly, quick, and arrived on time! Mind you, this was on a weekend!

Two jobs, one of which I'll have an estimate for on monday, the other was a switch replacement. I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to change out a three-way switch set for a z-wave switch set since I'm automating most of my lights.

I'll be having them redo the electrical in my kitchen thanks to the positive impression they made.

I had set up an appointment for between 11 & 12 for an electrical outlet. At 12:15, no call no show?? At 12:30 I received a call that their guy would be there between 1-1:30. I had already left the building. Can't work with companies that can't keep their promises.

I called United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric to see if they could help me rewire my apartment to have a 220 volt outlet for a new washer/dryer combo I just purchased. It was a complicated job given my apartment was built in the 1920's, and the electrical wiring has not been installed properly over the years.

Toto came over and was very generous with his time to properly inspect and provide me with a quote. He went above and beyond to do this job and had to cut through several areas in the drywall in order to rewire to the breaker box. He was nice enough to do some carpentry work afterwards to repair the walls and even provided paint matched to my walls for final touch ups. He finished the job in 1 day!

I will definitely be calling United again for any future needs I may have!

I have been very happy with the service from United Electric. I have an old house and have used them several times for electrical problems. They are always polite, knowledgeable and honest. They get the job done quickly and I think their prices are competitive. I feel comfortable with letting them into my home When I finally decided it was time to upgrade my electrical service, I hired them. They made it painless. The power was back on the same day and they did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. When I had questions, they got right back to me. Since upgrading, I haven't had any more electrical issues. Would recommend to anyone.

Love-love-love United Plumbing, Heating, Air and Electric! Arthur A. came to save the day! He is beyond polite, professional, highly-skilled and prompt. His customer service skills are excellent, not to mention how HOT he is! Right when he walked up to our front door I was literally speechless when he said, Hello. Embarrassing! He looks like a model with those huge guns! Haha. It felt like a scene in a movie.

Besides that, we've actually had a problem with a few of our outlets not working for a while now and put the repairs aside, because we thought it would be an expensive job. Arthur did a troubleshoot and was able to fix the problem right away! Now all of our outlets work! Ugh, he's amazing.

Thanks SO much United Plumbing, Heat and Electric Supply. A big thanks, especially to Anthony and the other technician that helped with the troubleshoot. You have made the process of fixing our home stress-free!

We had an electrical outage in one of the buildings on our church campus over the weekend. Our regular electrician was out of town so we called United & they dispatched Toto T. He said the fix was to replace the main breaker at a cost of $650. Since the building w/o electricity is our preschool facility, time was of the essence to make sure that the building was fully functional by first thing Monday morning. So, we paid his asking price.

After he left, the lights were working, but some of the outlets were not. Our regular electrician came on Monday to figure out the problem. First, he tested the main breaker that Toto said was bad and found absolutely nothing wrong with it. He explained how the main breaker, when tripped, can be easily manipulated to appear broken. He found the real problem, a very simple fix, and charged us only $20. He also said that it should only cost ~$100 to replace the main breaker.

I understand that a company can charge whatever they want and if I agree to it, then that's partially my bad. However, if you want an electrician with integrity, do not call United.

I had a great experience with United Plumbing. My neighbor recommended them to me when I had a plumbing emergency last Friday.

Timing: The technician showed up at the scheduled time and had the repair done within an hour.

Service: He replaced the broken parts with some good quality brand new ones and from what I can see he did a pretty neat tidy job on the pipes.

Customer service: I experienced absolutely great customer service from their respond to my call to the technician's nice and friendly attitude.

I highly recommend this company specially when you come across an emergency that need to be done in a reasonable price.

They proudly give free estimates...? Well, ok. What they really mean is that they will have a guy call you, ask you a couple of questions and then quote you a price.
I called yesterday, the guy I spoke to said someone would be out to my house to give me an estimate between 12-2 pm today. At 11:35 am, a guy called and said it would cost $7000 for air con or $10,000 for a new central heating/air con system. He would not come to take a look at my house because he didn't need to. He also confidently told me I needed a new heater (ugh, what?) after I told him there wasn't anything wrong with my central heat, just wanted to add air conditioning.
Why would anyone agree to pay a company $7 grand over the phone, sight unseen. How do these people stay in business? Unprofessional. And I was unsettled by that guy who called. Gruff, abrupt and out of left field.

I called United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric because all the power in my house went out. I had to go out, so I didn't call them until I returned around 3 pm. Although they were working in the valley and had to deal with the traffic, he extended his day to take care of my problem. They provided me with options to fix my problem, since the options varied in cost and I felt the choice was totally mine. I called today because I need a 240 wall plug. Everyone I have spoken and/or dealt with in the company is so polite and kind. Definitely would recommend them.

These guys are great!!!

My outlet started sparking, I got in touch with my landlord, and gave these guys a call. They came out right away to assess the situation, for free!!! The electricians name was Eric, I believe, and he was very friendky, polite, and knowledgeable.

After getting what seemed like a fair quote, I called them back to schedule the service. They literally came a couple hours after my call. I was shocked at how quick they were to respond. The same guy, Eric, came back with his partner and went right to work. It maybe took them 30 minutes to rewire the entire circuit. He showed me all of the problems that he found and not knowing much about this line of work, it was really cool learning and also seeing the dangers that caused the problem.

During the process, they discovered another really important, dangerous hazard with our old wiring that could be disastrous over time. We are having them back to fix it at the end of the month.

I couldn't be more impressed with this company and their great customer service!

Martik is our favorite electrician and favorite person we've ever met through having blown circuit breakers. (Old house.) He's informative, he's helpful, he's respectful, he's quick, he's careful, funny and wicked smart! He really just wants your home to be efficient, safe and your fuse box to be well labeled. He takes extra time to give you every option/price available so you can make the best decision for you. Really helpful guys working the phones and schedule too. This is for the service call out of the Mission Viejo Area. I realize this is a big company and some people may have a good experienced based on the location and employees. But watch your money people. GET A SECOND OPINION!

I had a terrible experience! My husband called this place via google search. We had an emergency because our outlet was smoking.

Two men showed up and within 5 minutes said we needed a new panel and circuit breakers and rewire....$4000. So we asked them if they could just cap off the outlet so it was unusable for now because we did not have $4000 to spend (plus we wanted a second opinion). They said they could not cut off the outlet and anyway it would not fix the problem.

Our discussion turned into a heated one because it seemed as though they did not want to leave without us paying that $4000. One of the men even threatened us by saying If I don't fix this today, your outlet may catch on fire while you are sleeping..... um, we will take our chances!

Needless to say we got a second opinion and ended up paying $145 to fix our outlet and infact did not need a new panel. We saved our $4000 from these con-artists.

I never really took the time to put in a review for other places, this is actually my first Yelp review. But I definitely think United Plumbing Heating Air and Electric deserves one! Especially Arthur who's accommodated me twice! I have an ongoing problem about my electric and because of my short fuse it seems to cut my electric off quite frequently. So when I called their office they were polite and assure me that they'll be here at a certain time.

Love this place! They have great customer service, very punctual, and will fix your issues in a matter of no time! Arthur's helped me twice, I can not speak for the other workers but he's come to help me twice and in both times he's been very understanding and helpful with my electric. I feel kind of bad that I keep calling the company for the same issue. But if you need any sort of help w/ your plumbing, gas, or electric, you seriously would not regret this one.

I called United on Thursday about some remedial electrical issues at our home, and got an appointment time between 9-11 on Friday. I received a call at 8:30 Friday morning and was told that a Tecnician would be on-sitee between 9:00 and 10:00.

At 9:30 Eric D arrived... professional appearance, courteous and friendly. We explained our issues, he quickly determined the work to be done and had a quote within 15 minutes of his arrival. By noon Eric had completed all of his work and explained in detail exactly what he did, how he did it and why it was necessary.

I don't write referrals, but I am making an exception for Eric & United. I would rehire him in an instant for any future requirements, and will happily promote his skill to my neighbors & friends. THANK YOU ERIC for an outstanding effort!

Outstanding job! United Plumbing Heating Air and Electric company completely re-wired my home. The company's senior electrician, Mr. Torkom Torosian or Mr. Toto, used his expertise to complete technical details needed to do the work. After completing the job, Mr. Toto and I conducted a thorough inspection of his work to assure my expectations were met. I was extremely pleased. Mr. Toto was courteous, professional and highly knowledgeable. He dedicated his time and attention to details, while performing high-quality work. All of which exceeded my expectations. Over the past five to eight weeks that I worked with Mr. Toto, I noticed that he was meticulous, while going over every inch of my home. His thoroughness and attention to detail demonstrates that he is a leader in the electrical field.

Mr. Toto located a minimum of three outlets that had the potential to ignite sparks or cause a fire as those outlets were embedded into the walls without any indication that they had been installed. Based upon my experience with this company, I can truly state that this is a trustworthy company. I entrusted my home and my safety to this company.

At the on-set, I was skeptical. Although I had obtained an additional bid for electrical work at my home, I lacked electrical knowledge and had never had the need for a licensed contractor specializing in residential electrical repairs or upgrades. Nevertheless, I felt comfortable with Mr. Toto immediately and have had enough experience working with diverse business representatives to know that Mr. Toto was a highly-skilled, professional. Both of those attributes increased my level of confidence in Mr. Toto's ability to do the work as well as his company. I would use this company again. Let there be no doubt about it, I would refer United Plumbing Heating Air and Electric to a friend, stranger or anyone in need of high-quality electrical rewiring without reservation or hesitation.

This is a follow up review for how much of a TOTAL JOKE this company is. One of my most worst encounters EVER on Yelp, so please use this company only sparingly is my opinion.

Please call E Appliance Repair at 855-900-0094. This is a REAL company. The last time they were out, they fixed the problem in 10 minutes and charged me $25 and left. We scheduled an appointment one week from now and decided to wait for an adult and not deal with child like companies like this one.

After the manager called and I obliged and waited another 24 hours to wait and see the system reset, I was to call back and report back and if the situation was not fixed he would send someone out to repair the system again. So? 24 hours later a consumer with NO technical HVAC experience knows MORE than their technician calls it right and the system does not work.

I just called them back and reported the issue thinking as to our agreement they would send out another tech to fix this problem. Now, them realizing I had written a not great yelp review, they choose NOT to repair the situation and yes, offers to refund me the money and not fix the situation. They are NOT sending out a tech to fix the problem they couldn't even diagnose, where a home owner told them it wasn't it going to work. So instead of getting a glowing review back, for fixing a problem, they back out like cowards. Yes, I will give them 1 star for paying me back, but believe me, the whole community of La Canada should NEVER use this company because 1) They can't diagnose a problem better than a homeowner with NO experience and 2) when they run up against a problem, they cut and run and not face the music. YES, they refunded me the money but what a waste of time.

It's all 5 and 1 stars, this is hint to be cautious! It's a waste of my time. No biggy, we are waiting for the big guys, E Appliance Repair, see my review of them from long before!!!! They're GREAT!!

Scheduled an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate between 10-12pm. Someone called and said they were running late. I gave them until 1pm and nobody showed up. Every time I called they said the person is on the way but nobody ever came and no call back. Very poor service for a potential job.

I would definitely recommend having Artin come out to do any and all of your electrical work. He was very thorough when he came for our consultation and gave us an estimate within 10 minutes. We had him do quite a range of work from installing electrical in our garage, adding recessed lighting, adding outlets, switching outlets, adding a ceiling fan, and exhaust fans. This took him 12 hours to complete and he wasn't leaving until it was all done. I will definitely be using United Electric and asking for Artin for any future electrical needs.

Artin was amazing. Came at 8pm on a Thursday night to check a burnt wire smell and found the cause right away. His patience, professionalism and demeanor was amazing. He explained everything thoroughly. We ended up having to retwire most of the house and he documented the problems and solutions the entire way end led a team of up to 6 guys over the weekend to finish the job on time. I would call them again for any and all electrical work.

So relieved. Artin totally saved the day for us.
My hardwired smoke detectors were all going off due to a failure of 9 circuits in breaker. The burnt, overloaded wires were causing the alarms to trip, so he replaced the breakers and the smoke detectors (they are supposed to be replaced every 5 years, I did't know that) and I can now rest easy knowing the house and my kids, are safe from fire.
United was easy to deal with on the phone and they had Artin, 'Art' the technician, out within an hour and a half of my call. On a Saturday, no less. He is chill and very knowledgeable, ask for him if you can.

I had a great experience with United plumbing heating air and electric. I had to get all new recessed lights in my home. The electrician who came was very professional. He was able to finish the work in 1 day! This was great because we were just moving in and you can imagine having something done in one day brought a smile to my face!

After the electrician was done, he cleaned up the mess he made and left my house with PERFECT new lights. If you are looking for a good and trustworthy electrician definitely give this place a try!

Years ago, my family purchased a house in Arcadia with two large lantern posts in the backyard. We were told by the neighbors that the lights were installed in 1953 by the former owner of the house, an Edison electrician. After lighting up our backyard for decades, both of the lamps recently stopped working.

In the past week, we've had the lantern posts and their wiring examined by three electricians, all of whom speculated with inconfidence and quoted us outrageous estimates just for troubleshooting. One electrician gave us several preposterous reasons as to why we absolutely must upgrade our entire electrical system--only to discover that his voltage tester was actually out of battery--and one even told us he'd need to unearth our entire underground system of electrical wires to even diagnose the problem and give us a reasonable quote!

Fed up with the incompetence of phone book electricians (*still* my mom's go-to resource for services), I turned to a more reliable source for referrals--Yelp! United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric came up my first local search and, after reading the consistently positive reviews, I decided to give this place a call and am so glad I did!

Cory arrived on time, about an hour after I made the call. He introduced himself to my mom and patiently listened as she tried to explain our problem with her adorable Chinglish. When she was done, he explained that he would examine the electrical circuits and panels before giving us a quote. After his inspection, he quoted us a most reasonable price--$180 for the job, and *only* if he managed to get our lights shining again. We were taken aback by the quote since it was much lower than what the other electricians charged, but we didn't expect him to so easily detect and resolve the problem like he did! Within an hour, our lantern posts were beaming again! My mom was so pleased that she even asked Cory to troubleshoot our broken submerged pool lights and outdoor outlets, and soon, those, too, were operating again. He only charged us only an additional $80, inclusive of replacement parts!

All in all, today was a great day for me and my mom. Thanks to Cory, our new tenants will be able to enjoy the beauty of our garden and pool at dusk, illumined by the soft glow of our lantern posts. My family is definitely lucky to have found an honest and reliable service we can trust. Do yourself a favor and call them now! No upselling, No outrageous quotes. No guesswork. United Electric was recommended to me by a non-profit community service group that benefited from the company's electrical expertise following a kitchen fire. United was easy to find on internet search and has a good record with the Registrar of Contractors.

I am a new and inexperienced homeowner. I forwarded my home inspector's report to United and they made an appointment to give me an estimate. We had an excellent experience with United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric. Our electrician was Art. He was phenomenal. He worked for hours and hours to install landscape lighting and timers all throughout our front yard and our back yard. The lights look terrific. We've received so many compliments about them. Art also installed a new exterior ceiling fan, which cools us off on hot summer days. We could not have asked for someone more helpful and professional than Art. We tried to have United come out to provide us with an estimate for a panel upgrade and AC installation. They called me and nicely informed me that I would have to pay $69.00 for them to come out to do an estimate which is funny because their website says Free Estimate. Clearly, we don't have the same definition for free.

Now, I'be been speed dating a bunch of electricians and AC installers so I consider myself pretty verse at this point in estimate getting ettiquette. Maybe I've been spoiled by all these slutty electricians but offering me free estimates.

The lady on the phone did call me back when I nicely but firmly told her thanks but no thanks to offer me a free estimate but at that point it was too little too late.

I don't usually write reviews but I am really impressed with this company. Their customer service is amazing and they are always on time. I had issues with wiring and my breakers and one of the contractors Toto came out and he basically re-did everything and I just have to say it is crazy good. I have never seen anyone do such a perfect and clean job. If you're looking for someone that knows what he is doing and has years of experience he is definitely your guy. If you're looking for something cheap then go with another company, but if you don't want your house to burn down and want something that'll save you money at the end, then this is the place to call. Ask for Toto, he's great and really nice guy too

Had United come out for an estimate to swap out one outlet, no major work - just a three-prong outlet for a 2-prong, no rewiring needed, probably a half-hour work with a new box, 5 minutes if not. Estimate: $180-$230. That's way, way more than what it should cost. Electrician was apologetic, said he couldn't do anything about it, that's what they tell me to charge.

So, no, didn't have them do it. One star for free estimate and showing up when they said they would. That's it.

These guys are AMAZING! First of all, they know EXACTLY what they're doing. Second, they're almost always available within a 24-hour notice (from my experience). I've never had to wait more than a day to get them to come down to our business.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Armin. He's the electrician and he knows exactly what he's talking about and doesn't try to sell me up on more expensive repairs, just gives me the straight up answer without the run-around or BS. I trust him now because after a couple of visits, he knows my business's circuit layout pretty well and I don't really have to explain much.

The customer service guys over the phone are always friendly and always figure out a way to help me. If they have to tell me no, they find other ways to say yes, which is the epitome of excellent customer service!

I have to say they've EARNED my business because of their professionalism, courtesy, and knowledge. I don't know what else you could be looking for in a business. Thank you guys for everything.

Very nice guy came out, but I have to say his estimate was literally $10,000 more than the second and third estimates I got. That's pretty disturbing. I am quite sure it was for the same service. With all of that in mind, we will go with the other company that has great yelp reviews for service and gave me a much more reasonable estimate!

I called on a Sunday and set up an appointment for Monday morning. The repairman came out to look at a ceiling fan installation. When I set up this appointment I stated clearly that the junction box was not attached to a stud and needed to be replaced. The repairman confirmed my statement and went to look in the attic. I informed him that I just had insulation blown in and that this wouldn't be an easy job. He then said that he couldn't do the job today and that he didn't know how long the project would take. It would be $110.00 an hour and that he would call to set up a time. I did not get a return call. I called the main office and they said they would follow up and call me back. Two days later and still no call. Completely unprofessional.

Amazing. Our central air unit crapped out the night before we were leaving on vacation. We needed to fix it because it's the middle of summer and we were leaving our cat in the house the whole time we'd be gone. I called a few places who couldn't fit us in but United Plumbing had someone out here within an hour. He discovered that the compressor had burnt out but more than this - whoever had installed the unit (we bought a flip) had put in a fuse box that could only handle half the capacity of our A/C unit. We had 30 amp fuses when we needed 34.5 minimum and closer to 50 amps.

So where a less experienced technician may have replaced the compressor, we would have had the same problem again in a few months.

He had the equipment on his truck and in 45 minutes he had installed the new fuse box and compressor and had the unit working again.

I also had a great experience with United Plumbing about 6 months earlier on our tankless water heater (which had also been improperly installed without a thermostat). In both cases, the technicians from United knew exactly what they were doing, worked quickly, did the job right and were very nice people, respectful of property and everything else you'd want in a serviceman. I highly recommend them.

Amazing, amazing, amazing company and technician!
A fire at the Edison plant by my surged my entire circuit breaker when the power went out. Within an hour of me calling the company, Martik G was at my door... on a saturday evening! He went over my circuit breaker, and then showed me what was going and all the reading so I knew why and what needed to be replaced. I originally was just going to have him replace the 5 that were completely dead. But after he installed them, we talked and all the others were functioning at about 30%. He called the company and worked out a deal for me to replace everything at a HUGE discount. I didn't even have to ask, and he didn't pressure me to replace things, he just kept me informed.
He and his partner Raz made sure that I knew exactly what they were doing the entire time, they never did anything without explaining it to me first. They even vacuumed and cleaned the entire system without me asking! When he left for a bit to get a part we needed, he called me from the shop so I would know exactly what he was getting and when he would be back.
They checked every plug and light in my house before they left, making sure there would be no issues for me in the future. If I ever need anything done again, I am definitely giving him a call.

This guy tried to up-sell me as well telling me i needed to pay $1600 to get my wiring fixed and that my Fuse box needed to be upgraded to a bigger amperage. Telling me this is wrong, this is bad, this is a problem, etc. He also stated that he was doing me a favor and giving me a discount. Hes a nice guy, but just I didn't like the fact I was going to be charged an absurd amount of money.

This past Saturday half of the electricity in my kitchen went out . We tried to fix it ourselves like most people do and failed . I decided to make a phone call . I googled companies in my area and found United . They were very pleasant on the phone and sent someone out in just a few short hours .

My technician's name was Art. Art was able to find my problem and repair it fairly quickly . There were several issues with the way my house is wired . I was very happy with Art because he didn't speak to us as though we were stupid homeowners, as some tradesmen can do; he was respectful and polite and made us feel very comfortable with every step he was doing before he did it .

Art found problems in our electrical box that could have caused a fire had they been left undetected . He fixed the kitchen o Saturday and he was able to come out today with replacement parts and fix the rest of the problems .

The company guaranteed their work for 7 years so I won't have to worry about the electrical box again . :) . United works 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I would highly recommend Art to be your electrician if you call them - he is GREAT!

Art (Artin) with United did everything right. He arrived soon after our plea for help and kept us apprised very step of the way: showing us evidence of the problem, discussing the options for replacing parts, making repairs that day, showing us the afters (compared to the befores) and being friendly and courteous throughout.
Some service people think I'm a fussbudget, but Artin hung in there well. I will certainly use United in the future, and will ask for Artin.

Gee, where to start? They missed their three-hour window by almost two hours. That means I sat around for five hours waiting for their AC techs to show up. When they got to my house, they were rude, and acted like I was an idiot because the central air in the house that I pay rent in was broken and I didn't know why (that's why I called you, dudes).

Then, they refilled the coolant in the unit that was already working but apparently leaking, without fixing the leak (which, by the way, is illegal), to the tune of $500. I guess I should have researched what these things should normally cost before they came to do the repair, but that is an astonishingly high price. And again, illegal.

Then, when I was in the middle of trying to ask about why the other unit isn't working and what needs to be done to fix it, the tech waved me off and answered a phoned call and started walking off the property to go to the next job. I was literally in mid-sentence. So I waited politely for his phone call to finish, and asked what I could expect to pay for the repair. He couldn't tell me, but he said to call the office. Then, the office would call him, he would tell them what was needed, and then the office would get back to me with an estimate for the repair.

Right.

So I did as instructed, but of course the office had no idea since they hadn't seen the unit and they said they'd get back to me later that same day. Nope. So I called the next day, still nothing. The day after that? Nothing. It's been six days now. Nobody here actually seems to be interested in fixing my air conditioner now that they have my $500. Oh, and they still haven't cashed my check yet. Thanks, dudes!!

Since we moved into our condo, we've been taking cold showers. We originally hired Power Plumbing since our HOA recommended them. Power Plumbing told us the valve was broken and wanted to charge us $675 to replace it. So we had to go through the trouble of contacting our management company to turn the water off for 4 hours. But since our home warranty covered this service, we cancelled with Power Plumbing and were referred to United Plumbing. Thank goodness!!!! Art came in, put shoe coverings on, and replaced the cartridge. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. He was in and out. Now we get hot water and it only costed $60. Thanks Art!!!

May only be a problem with this technician, not the company, but stay away from Toto.

I was really impressed with the work they did. I needed all of the circuit breakers in home replaced, as well as some additional wiring to an addition. The electrician that was dispatched was courteous, professional and fast.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The appointment went really smoothly, I was given a reasonable estimate, and in the end, they charged what they quoted. Our lights/ power went out at 1130 at night and my wife and I freaked out. Having a new born we werE even more worried I called around couple places some places we're charging ridiculous prices just to come out. Some even said tomorrOw. They were fair to come out and when I called a perSon answered by the name of Rob. He told me 60- 90 minutes a technician will be here. 30 minutes passed a technician came named Arnold. My water bill went WAY UP and since the ONLY Thing that seemed to be leaking
was the toilet--which HAD BEEN LEAKING for awhile, but who knew...I mean it
was just a little....well serves me right. THANKFULLY, Sergei who was as
knowledgeable as he was cute (you know Russian blonde men, blue eyes, etc..)so
I immediately felt at ease when he diagnosed the problem right away. And did
not laugh, not even when I had to run up and down the stairs TWICE to figure
out where I'd left the credit card(downstairs). ANYHOW, yes UNITED comes
thru the Home Warranty and yes, I have trepidation about dealing with people
when I am at their mercy, but once again, UNITED PLUMBIING AND SERGEI
were as good as I could possibly hope. NOW I have to wait for the next
water bill..............(and btw Sergei said, yes, even a little run in a toilet could

This company came out to look at an electrical issue I had with my fireplace after getting it checked out by the gas company and told it was an electrical issue. The guy who came was on time, courteous and went to work right away. Not only did he dissemble everything on my electrical outlet and went a step further to look at the gas fireplace electrical components and did repair the electrical portion. He was honest and told me that I would have to contact a fireplace specialist for the rest of the job.

The best part is he gave me a choice to dissemble the work and allow them to do just do everything and he didn't charge me! I would definitely recommend this company for any electrical, heating or air conditioning repairs and installs! Not only was he honest I appreciated that he knew the problem wasn't completely resolved and didn't still try to charge me. Its hard to find people that are honest like that anymore, but they still exist... Would use this company again in a heartbeat!

I highly commend the exceptional service, work performed and professionalism demonstrated by Art, the certified technician of United Plumbing Heating Air & Electric. What happened was this: as a 74 year old widow with no family, I was more than a little concerned when I lost all electrical power to my home on Sunday evening, 8/7/16. With no ability to use my house phone or computer and without a smart phone, I asked for assistance from my neighbor, Steve, who lives across the street. I felt a sense of urgency as it was unbearably hot inside. Fortunately Steve selected United Electric. Upon making the call and explaining my dilemma, I was assured that a technician would be here in about an hour. Here it was, a Sunday night no less, but Art did in fact arrive right on time. After he thoroughly trouble shooted the main panel, not only was he able to determine exactly what went wrong, but he presented four options as to what could be done. As he showed me evidence of burning inside the unit, I went with his recommendation to replace not only all the breakers, but the Buss Bar as well as that too had been burnt. His original quote was $2,300, but in consideration of my age and circumstances, he reduced his estimate to $1,800. Following an extensive search for the right parts, he arrived the next morning and installed new breakers and a reconditioned Buss Bar - all complete with a seven year warranty. Upon completion of this job, I had him evaluate the sub panel which controls the spa functions. These breakers needed replacing as well; I was quoted $800, and early the next morning he installed reconditioned breakers with a three year warranty. New ones, he explained, would have been prohibitively expensive. I couldn't be more satisfied with the level of service, the professionalism, and the work performed by Art. Art was very thorough and exacting in not only evaluating what needed to be done, but in patiently explaining precisely what was happening and why it was necessary to replace the breakers. (Keep in mind that this is a 39 year old house). Art's demeanor was consistently friendly, courteous, respectful, and focused. In short, as an electrician, he was outstanding. I will not hesitate to hire this company again for any and all electrical work; hopefully Art will be available.

My 91 year old mom had an electrical problem in one of her bedrooms and found this company in the yellow pages. I live a hour away from her and though I knew about the problem I did not know she was calling somebody to come out.

I guess two gentleman came out in mid afternoon (Arthur and Robert). They replaced two circuit breakers but that did not fix the problem. They gave mom a couple of options at that point but mom was so confused she called me and asked if I could speak to them myself. Arthur got on the phone and told me what they had done so far and that he wanted to go up into the attic and try to see if there was a wiring problem up there. He told me what the price would be and I told him that I wanted to call the home office to discuss pricing with them. He gave me the phone number and a contact to talk to. I called and spoke to Robert R who is one of the Supervisors there. Robert said he just wanted to get mom up and running and that I should not worry about the price. He said I could call him on Monday (the guys were out on a Friday) and the two of us would work something out. The guys did find the problem which actually was a wiring issue in the crawlspace. They did not ask mom for any money and mom called me later that afternoon to tell me everything was working in that room.

I called Robert R. on Monday as promised and we worked out a final payment that was very fair based on the time the guys were there. I told Robert R. that I did not want mom to pay for two breakers that were not the problem. Robert understood as I understood that these breakers could not be put back into their stock or re-used.

Rob R. was great and said he would send me an invoice and give mom a one year warranty on the parts and labor.

Thanks to Arthur and Robert for their hard work at mom's house and a special thanks to Robert R. for his great customer service and working with me on the final price for the job.

Would use this company again just for the great customer service alone.

Working with United was a pleasure. I called about having United fix a few electrical outlets a contractor had screwed up. Martik (Mark) came out a few hours after I called, and fixed the problems quickly. I did not realize electrical work was so expensive. But he worked with me to provide a discount.
It has been several weeks since he came out and I have had no problems with his work. I will use United in the future if I have any electrical issues. I would give them 4 1/2 stars if possible.

I called United yesterday about 3 problem outlets in my rental home. They offered us next day service and the estimate was free. Customer service over the phone was friendly and efficient. **We used them last year (Eric was our technician that time) and had a really positive experience - my review for that visit is posted here too! They give you a 2 hour window of when to expect your technician and give you a call with a half hour's notice for the technician's actual arrival time, which is super convenient. Technician Art T. arrived on time, was super friendly and fixed the problem efficiently.

Of course what I was hoping would be an easy fix turned out to be much worse, faulty breakers that had cause 3 wires to start melting/burning inside the breaker box!!! YIKES! again, luckily we didn't cover the cost so I can't really review that aspect of the job, but Art was super efficient and friendly. He discovered the problem and offered to speak to my landlord over the phone so he could explain the severity of the problem to her. He gave her a few options on the repair, reminding her he definitely does not work on commission and just wanted to offer the best solution as if it was his own property. Once she agreed to the charges (which again, I didn't pay for but when she cross referenced a friend who is familiar with this kind of thing, she was assured it was definitely in the ballpark) and he began work right away trouble shooting the faulty outlets and repairing the faulty breakers. The whole job was finished in roughly an hour to an hour and half and he had everything he needed on hand to take care of it promptly. They handled the payment through their main office with my landlord over the phone so for us it was stress free and easy.

So relieved to find this wiring problem before something serious happened! Plus now I can stop using extension cords in my kitchen to make up for the faulty outlet! Thanks again Art and United! :)

Nobody showed up and nobody called. Poor customer service. If the job was too small or if the electrician couldn't make it for whatever reasons, at least have the courtesy to let me know. I called yesterday afternoon and United was able to schedule someone out this morning. Arnold arrived and immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed a bunch of light switches and fan issues, he was very knowledgeable, explains the process as he went along. Arnold at United is a true professional electrician with years of experience. We had circuit breakers that would not reset after we lost power to several outlets in the kitchen. My husband called this morning to old republic telling them about some electrical issues. Eric D. Was dispatched from United. He came out the same day to check my breakers and outlets. Turns out that in my daughters room one of the outlets burned which in turn affected other outlets and lights in the house. Arthur showed up within an hour of making a call to find an electrician and did a great job. We're in the middle of a kitchen remodeling project, and wanted all of the light switches and outlets throughout the house to match the updated versions in the kitchen. While it could have been a relatively easy project, we quickly discovered that the previous wiring hadn't been installed well and the 3 way light switches were just too complicated for us to change out without help. Arthur showed up quickly, completed the project as fast as he could, showed my boyfriend a few basic things and gave us a great deal. Will definitely use him again!

Our heat pump stopped producing warm air on December 26. Other companies had their phones on voicemail because of the holiday but not these guys. Alex answered the phone, was very concerned for our problem and comfort and said he would have a tech out within hours to assess the problem. Brad, the supervisor, came because it was a holiday and they try to give their techs time off. Our 37 year old compressor was leaking freon and the inside heat pump was not working. He said they could come back first thing in the morning with the right equipment to test the system and see what was needed to repair it. they came first thing the next morning and tested all of the lines. When they were done they explained that there were numerous leaks, the system was very old and too rusted out to be reliable. We have known this for at least three years and kept limping along with the old one. The time had come to replace it. They asked a lot of questions about usage, frequency, temperatures and decided we needed the basic system because we just didn't need to use it very much. The house is passive solar designed with full solar for electric and water, very well insulated, and just doesn't get that cold or hot. The point is, they recommended what we needed, not a more expensive system. We had an event at the house the next evening so they did the financing application over the phone, got approval, and set the install for the next morning. There were four of them here all day, the system was installed and we had warm, happy guests that evening. We can't say enough good things about this company. And when it comes to attitude theirs is so thoughtful, friendly and caring. Overall they are a true 5 star company.

I did quite a bit of research before calling these guys to do some work on my dad's house. From the 4 companies I called, United had the lowest rates - that made me nervous that the service would be compromised but NOT AT ALL. Arthur showed up at our door in an hour, he was young but very knowledgeable and professional. He got to work right away, repairing the burned outlet and the damage it had caused to the wiring. No problems ever since he left. I'd definitely call this company for future jobs, but reading some of these other reviews (1 stars!) I'm going to request this specific technician again. I hope they have only 1 Arthur cause I didn't catch his last name!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We are located in Redlands and had some concerns about the electric in an old 1950's house we'd just purchased, so my husband called United. On the plus side, they did say they'd be able to send someone the next day, which was great. The electrician was NOT on time, but did call to say that he'd be late, so we appreciated that. When he came to the house, he was nice enough at first, but then got very condescending quickly. He was very dramatic and acted like we were in huge danger, but that he could fix the problem that day after he got more supplies - his explanations of the problem were very convoluted and he seemed to get frustrated that we didn't understand everything he was trying to explain. We said that we wanted to check with our home warranty and he told us there was no way it would be covered under warranty and gave us some bogus analogy about health insurance not covering someone that smoked, so the warranty wouldn't cover it - it made no sense, especially since we are both health care professionals. Anyhow, he told us it would be $2400 to replace breakers or $3500 to replace the panel (nothing was ever put in writing). He had us convinced we were in danger, so we said to go ahead and replace the breakers that night and he left to go get supplies. While he was gone, we made a couple of phone calls and found out that 1) the price he gave us was ridiculous, and 2) the work that was needed was most certainly covered under our home warranty! My husband called the dispatcher to have him tell the electrician not to come back, since we didn't want to waste his time. Then we realized that he'd taken the panel apart and left it apart, thinking that he was coming back, but before my husband could call back to ask him to come back and put it back together, he showed up and asked us what we'd decided. At this point, he got really rude. My husband is the most patient man on the planet and very kindly explained that we decided to file a claim with our warranty. At that, the electrician told us to call the warranty company right then and there to get authorization, then we could pay him and have the warranty company reimburse us. There had been a number of red flags and we just were not comfortable with that at all. My husband declined, to which the electrician said something to the effect of Well, some people value life and some people value money. Unbelievable! Some people value honesty and integrity, and that's the kind of people we are. We filed a claim with the warranty, who sent out TURLEY ELECTRIC, who was AWESOME! Although it was covered under warranty, he told us the cost for the entire job to replace the breakers and some outlets would have been $250. So we almost got screwed by paying United $2500 for the same work!!! Chuck Turley was awesome, clearly knew his stuff, and took his time, even teaching my husband some things along the way. I'm glad there are some people that have had positive experiences with United, but after our experience, we will NEVER call them again!

I felt like I was going to a sleazy mechanic when he said it once took him two two days to find a problem as if that might justify the enormous bill I was about to get - this is after I told him where my issue was and my house is TINY. I want to thank Artin for his outstanding service and expertise. I came home to my condo on a Sunday night with bags full of groceries. The entire house was without power. I called United and they sent Artin, who arrived very quickly. He diagnosed the problem in a few short minutes. The hot water heater had blown out all the power and the main breaker downstairs. He was able to restore all the power except of course the hot water heater and I had electricity once again and my groceries didn't spoil. Then, after a plumber installed a new hot water heater the power blew out again. Artin came back right away and discovered that the plumber had installed the water heater incorrectly. He fixed the plumbers mistake. He really knows his business and not only is he very professional but he is also a caring and concerned individual. He really goes the extra mile. Thanks so much Artin. I will be recommending you to my friends.

Had a water heater problem and called United on a Tuesday based on the reviews. They said someone would be there between noon and 2 the next day. I finally got a call about 2:40P and was told that it would be at least another hour or so before they could come. I had other obligations that day and just told them to forget it, I'd find someone else. If you don't have the time to do the job just say so in the beginning. Unreliable!

I needed an electrician to do what I thought would be a simple job and am so happy that I called United. What I had determined was a simple job lead to the discovery of a major wiring problem in our home. Our technician was very professional, extremely competent and showed my husband and I what the problems were and the choices we had to fix the problems. It was quite obvious that we could have been in danger with faulty connections in two of our three circuit breaker panels. I am very grateful that I made the call to United on Saturday morning. I want to add that I had used a variety of electricians in the 14 years we have lived on our home and not one picked up the situation that have been present for a long time in our two affected panels.

I called United, because my garbage disposal switch couldn't be turned off. I was tempted to call my handyman, but just in case I decided to bring an electrician in. Artin came over and tested the switch very carefully, and there was a giant spark. Apparently, there was a short somewhere, and our breaker hadn't detected it. Thank god for Artin! We could've had a fire on our hands. He was incredibly professional and polite about the entire thing. When it came time to change the breakers (many of which were old and faulty), he led me through all of my options disinterestedly. Then he quickly and diligently went through the entire house, making sure everything worked. He even hung out for an extra ten minutes to help me figure out which breaker went with which part of the house. (The labels on the breakers had worn down so much that you could no longer read them.) Anyway, I rarely write these types of reviews, but I just felt like I had to give a shout out to Artin and his company. I woild obviously recommend them wholeheartedly for any electrical situation.

I'm in the apartment business and deal with vendors all the time so I really dislike when something goes wrong at home that needs repairing. I had an outlet stop working and weird light that flashed in a lamp when I turned a fan off across the room. I called United right away, 5am actually and they had Artin at my house by 1pm. It turns out my breakers needed to be replaced (over 1k) but they gave me a discount to replace them all, which I went for since half the panel was fried already. I could smell the burned wire when Artin removed the panel. My house is only 16yrs old but it explains some issues with power over the last couple of months. Artin was really great in working with me (my dog was recovering from surgery) so it wasn't an easy week for me. He was patient, explained everything and had us up in running within an hour. I feel so much better knowing I caught a potential fire hazard and had it done right by a qualified person. I rarely Yelp and only do if I feel someone goes above and beyond, as did Artin. Thank you!
