After finding a leak on the weekend, Rich came out Monday to inspect. Since our house was built in 1940, we had a few other leaks we weren't aware of... he physically showed us the leaks. He used the camera on our main and other drains to show us the shape of the pipes. He didn't pressure us, stayed in great communication, explained everything, the team was professional, and timely. Ultimately we ended up relining the main, we have no regrets and highly recommend Rich and his team!

Returned from a weekend trip to find I didn't have any hot water on my over 10 year old water heater. I was was referred to Touchdown Plumbing and given Rich's number, after speaking with Rich, I decided to replace the water heater. He provided a fair quote that included all labor, haul away of old tank, new tank, and additional work to bring everything up to code. He was very professional and friendly, and worked very quickly while still doing excellent work. They even cleaned up after themselves leaving nothing behind but a new functioning water heater and a satisfied customer.
If you want good quality work done quickly with great customer service, then I would recommend Touchdown Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. I never post reviews, but felt the need to do so for Touchdown Plumbing and Rich.

Got a leak in a copper pipe beside the water heater and had to shut off the water to the house on Sunday night. I sent an email on Memorial day morning around 730am to Touchdown. They responded with a phone call almost immediately - very impressive response. They were very transparent about pricing, emergency calls cost more, but with 2 kids I wanted the water ASAP. Within an hour they were working on the pipes and were able to fix the problem within 3 hours of me sending the email. Great service.

Now we all know no one wants to work Saturday night, but each person we talked to was so pleasant and honestly trying to help in anyway they could.

We actually didn't use their services just based on availability(but we have used them before equally awesome!), they were so responsive and transparent with their staff. I highly recommend them.

Do not use. I had my main kitchen pipe clogged in the Spring Valley area. I looked for the plumbers in the area with the best reviews and Touchdown Plumbing and Drains was number 1. I called and spoke to the owner who gave a great price and response time. After setting a time frame of about 530 pm, I waited for the plumber to arrive. Come 7:00 pm, no call, no update. I had to send a text asking the plumber to please let me know if they were unable to make it or I could reschedule. The plumber again told me so sorry, 20 minutes Another 45 MINUTES passes by and nothing. Finally, about 8:00 pm I just told him to cancel and how unacceptable it was to keep someone around waiting for their service, with not so much as even a text or phone call as to the delay. In the end, the dude said my tech got delayed. LIES because the male I was talking to directly was the one that said he was responding.

Anyways, poor service, unprofessional, don't use period.

Had a main line back up and called Touchdown Saturday evening. Scheduled an appointment with Rich for the following morning (Sunday) at 7AM. He showed up on time, snaked the drain (fixed the problem), and gave some great advice as well. Total cost was $94, which is pretty reasonable for a snake job. I've hired a few plumbers over the years and I appreciated that Rich not only gave a great price, but was also very prompt (on a Sunday, no less), friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely a positive experience all-around.

I was in the middle of a not planned bathroom remodel due to constructions defects in my condo. The plumber that the contractor hired was doing a bad job.

I contacted Rich and he came in and finished the job. Did amazing work, on time, friendly and great customer service.
A few days later I noticed the shower head water was not that strong. He came out the next day and removed some debris that was caught in the shower head after turning the water on.

TDP for the WIN!!! My fiancé and I just bought a brand new washer and dryer. We only used it a couple of times before our garage started getting flooded with large amounts of water, and we didn't know why. Turns out our drains were old and it was clogged, causing the water to spit out. We were referred to TDP by a trusted friend. I called them at 12:30pm and within less than an hour, Rich came out to take a look. He was able to take care of the clog within minutes after diagnosing the problem. Everything is functioning the way it is suppose to again. It's very hard to find a trusted plumber. I feel like many would take advantage of the fear in new homeowners. But not Rich. His prices were fair and his attentiveness to the job was 110%. My fiancé and I appreciate strong business ethics, and we found a plumber for life! I would highly, highly recommend Rich and TDP from all your plumbing needs.

Touchdown Plumbing & Drains is great! Rich came out the day after our hot water heater started to leak. The next day his crew was at my house at 9:00 a.m. with a new water heater and all of the necessary parts to replace it. My parents called me around 9:30 PM to tell me that both of their restrooms were clogged. The water would overflow on the downstairs toilet. This problem needed to get fixed asap because they wouldnt be able to use the restroom. I went on yelp to look for some plumbers. After a few phone calls I finally got a hold of Touchdown Plumbing and Drains. They were at my parents place literally in 15 minutes. Kenny was the technician. Had a toilet leaking and didn't feel like getting in to a home repair like this myself, so solicited estimates from a few area plumbers. Rich responded quickly with a good quote up front, and we made an appointment for the next morning. When their guy Edwin checked it out, we found that it would be be better and more cost efficient to replace instead of repair. No charge for the visit. I purchased everything, and Edwin came back a couple of days later. It was a pain since it was an older install being replaced, but he did a great job with a great attitude, and they stuck to the original quoted price. In the mean time, the other plumbing companies I reached out to responded with either no up front estimate, or a substantially higher quote. I would recommend these guys for any plumbing job you may have.

Rich replied immediately to my plumbing issue and his worker, Matt came promptly on time. Our kitchen sink stopped draining as well as the downstairs bathroom shower. The drains then started leaking. My dad tried to fix it but unfortunately got the cable stuck. Matt was able to get the cable out as it had been stuck for several days with my Dad attempting many times to get it out himself. It's now draining properly and hopefully continues to. Matt was helpful and polite offering great advice to my Dad if this should ever happen again.

I called Touchdown plumbing to remove a disgusting and stinky grease trap. Knowing this was going to be a difficult job I was a little nervous about hiring a good company. These guys did an amazing job. They had to jack hammer this huge disgusting thing out of the floor, fill in the hole and top it off with concrete. As messy and smelly of a job as this is... they were clean, efficient and had a great attitude after standing in a sewage nightmare all day. Great crew, good price, professional from start to finish. They even sent their boss pictures of my store when they were done to insure they left it cleaner than the way they found it. Very happy!! Hire these guys.

I called Touchdown Plumbing and set an appointment and they stated they be here at 5pm. Approximately 4:30 Edwin show up and start diagnosing the problem checking the water pressure the faucet, shower, and pretty much every water outlet. After assessing the problem he did a little tweeking of the valve here and there and wala! The problem is solved he even stayed a little bit longer to make sure the problem is fixed, and by the appointment time its done. Edwin is very professional and honest straight talk and mo sales pitch. I recommend this plumbing service. This plumber was referred to us through a family member. We had an emergency. Our plumbing was backed up and we had family coming in from out of town. We had already had a service from another plumber who wanted to charge us an enormous amount to fix the problem and the work couldn't be done until three days later. So, that wasn't going to happen. Calling a plumber is not top on my list of favorite things to do. We had a water leak and called Touchdown Plumbing. Edwin came and investigated, explained and showed us what he found, gave us a quote and repaired the leak. We called in the morning and he came mid day (whew!). He was thorough, and advised us that other pipes needed replacement but didn't pressure us to do any additional repair. He checked water pressure before he left, measured the drywall for us. My water bill was rising with no visible signs of a leak. I called Rich and explained my situation. He was able to come out within an hour and a half. He couldn't immediately find a leak but was determined to keep looking. He finally turned off the valve where my reverse osmosis water system is located, and the water meter indicator finally stopped moving. He explained that the leak was inside the system itself, thus no visible leaking. He does not install water filtration systems, so I contacted a company that does. Thankfully, I didn't have to pay a lot more money for a leak detection company to come out, and his price was reasonable. Thank you, Rich!

Well our old house decided that the plumbing needed to be fixed, so we tore out the kitchen and front yard to replace a sagging pipe due to defective grade. It was backing up and cause damage inside the house. Our insurance covered it thank god and after searching for the right company we found TDP. Not only were they 1/3 cheaper then the big name(Rooter Hero-rooter rip off) they are local and family owner and awesome. Rich came to the house did the inspection and moved on to the work. Him and his team kicked ass in 5 days and had the kitchen ripped out and pipe replaced and working great. He was communicative, professional and made the whole thing so much less stressful then it could have been. We recommend this company 1000% percent! You can see I was standing in my kitchen! ‍ the house is back to normal and our sewage is back to 100%. Thanks To Rich and his team!

I call touchdown plumbing and as I'm calling I get a text messages that they wanted me to text them. So I did explaining my toilet is clogged, they ask what was the issue I went on to explain
That the toilet needs to be remove the deodorizer. Then I asked how much would they charge
And I waiting several minutes for them to reply
Then finally they answered $350 so I just went on to the next one on the list 28 minutes later they replied if I wanted to schedule for it. I replied no too expensive

We've had an issue with our cast iron plumbing for years. Every time we unclogged it, it'd been a temporary fix. It finally got to the point where we could not unclog it ourselves. Rich came over the next morning and had a plan of action within 30 minutes. He suggested digging holes in areas that were going to create less restoration. Thank goodness because we had just installed new flooring. Our other issue was that we had a planned vacation a few days later so we couldn't oversee any of the work. He was ok with it and assured us his employees have worked in similar situations before by letting themselves in, closing up and making sure the dogs were taken care of. We trusted Rich right away due to his personality and his knowledge; we didn't feel the need to get other quotes or 2nd opinions.

Unfortunately, once they broke into the foundation they found that other services would be needed. Rich texted with details, pictures and suggestions. We didn't feel pressure to proceed but understood it was best to get everything fixed since the plumbing was already exposed. By the time we got back from our week vacation, we had new plumbing. They spent the next couple days restoring and we got to meet his crew. They were all very professional and consistently working. They greeted us when they arrived and updated us when they left. Once the job was fully complete, it's like they weren't even here.

I had a hot water slab leak at my residence for the 3rd time. The first one I fixed myself and realized it's best to leave it to the pros. This is where Rich & Touchdown Plumbing enter the picture. He correctly repaired the trouble both times by bypassing the defective sections. Unfortunately, slab leaks continue to happen if the pipes aren't relocated. His estimates beat most other offers. His team is very punctual. He worked all day last Sunday and didn't charge me premium rates. He does what he says. If he says he's going to call at 2:30 pm he will call exactly at that time. He stays up-to-date on the latest plumbing materials & technology by attending classes & seminars.

The very first time I called Richard was when my main water line was clogged up. I had to call around for a few times because everyone kept saying that they needed to run a camera down the main pipe to see what was causing the stoppage. They were quoting hundreds just to use the camera equipment. Richard was the only one that came over to give me a free estimate and was honest and upfront with me from the beginning. He showed me exactly what the problem was and saved me hundreds of dollars over everyone else. Ever since then he earned my trust and became my 'plumber for life'!!! If you want a company that knows their stuff and can get the job done you better pick TP&D. I called Rich at TP&D Sunday 8:20am left a message not expecting a call until Monday. I got a call back in less than an hour. I explained my gas leak problem. Rich went thru the process of how he
would isolate the problem which was very thorough. He said I can be there Monday between 9 & 9:30 he beat me there. He pressure tested the gas line from meter to house then pressure tested the house. We agreed on the price to replace the gas line. He said his guys would show up on Wednesday 7:30am because it was raining . I showed up at 7am and his crew was already there,love it. Rich makes things happen no excuses no ifs,ands,or buts. I would definitely use TP&D again. And Rich is a top notch guy to work with.

Touchdown Plumbing is fantastic. Rich is knowledgeable, professional and my hero! Our main line was clogged with 5ft of roots and was backing up into the house. We called Rich in a pinch and he was there the same afternoon. He gives education and options, which was really appreciated. I wanted to move a toilet so that it wasn't right next to the shower's sliding door in our San Diego rental house. There was plenty of room to move the toilet away a few inches, but since the house was built 70 years ago on a concrete slab, moving the toilet drain even just a few inches was going to be a lot of work.

As always, I turned to Yelp and requested online quotes from four different highly recommended plumbers. Three of them politely refused the work. Rich, at Touchdown Plumbing & Drains, called and asked a few questions, then gave me a rough estimate over the phone. The estimate was less than I'd expected, so I asked him to come out and take a look, which he immediately did. On site, he checked everything out and confirmed his original estimate. We scheduled the work for first thing the next day.

The next morning, Jason arrived on time and jack hammered for at least four hours. The entire job ended up taking all day because a water supply line had been incorrectly run right next to the drain line when the house was originally built in 1948. And the slab was closer to 6 thick instead of the usual 4. Jason took it all in good stride and was able to overcome all issues beautifully.

I wanted to pay Jason before he left, so he called Rich to get the price. Here, I totally expected a major up-charge, given all the unforeseen issues, time and materials that cropped up. There was NO up-charge!

I also appreciated the little things, like making sure the toilet and toilet seat were aligned and installed straight. Other plumbers I've hired have actually argued with me when I showed them that their faucets were crooked coming out of the wall.

The guys at Touchdown Plumbing were professional, knowledgeable, affordable, and honest.

I would highly recommend using Touchdown Plumbing. I had an emergency bathroom back up at night and they were out there in about 30-40 minutes and got it fixed that night. My house is old and needs lots of updating including the pipes. Rich and his team ended up redoing most of all my pipes. They even had to dig up my yard to install clean outs and redo the plumbing in bathroom. Rich was very competitive with pricing, he always responded quick with texts or any questions and he also kept me updated all the time. He always gave me options as to what I needed and was upfront with everything. I received some quotes from other plumbers for what he did and he was cheaper than them. Rich and his whole team were great! I will be recommending them and using them in the future!

This company is great. They were able to come out within two hours to provide a quote to remove and replace an old tub drain in one of my bathrooms. Joel provided a reasonable cost estimate, was up front that additional work could be required, and came back an hour later to complete the work the same day. I was very impressed with the service provided, and the appearance of the new drain.

Nickel and dime pricing strategy.

Called them out to help unclog a bath tub and sink. They unclogged the bath tub but turns out the sink was a separate clog. Wanted to charge me an additional amount to continue to diagnose the sink.

After receiving a price quote of $4,750.00 from another plumbing company to dig up my driveway pipes with no guarantee of resolution as he had never seen this before I contacted Rich. His helpful and informative demeanor calmed me immediately.
They came out with their camera and agreed with the original assessment. Concrete and tile grout had made its way into the drains and hardened.
His quote was much more reasonable and I was comfortable from reading his yelp reviews.
He and his crew dug the concrete and worked diligently to clear the hardened debris for several hours. He was discouraged that the hydro jet was not making the progress he expected after several hours of work. Concerned that I might have to pay for the hydro jet time and have the process fail he suggested we could just skip ahead and remove the 10 feet of pipe and replace it ensure success.
He wanted to do the best and right thing. I asked for an estimate for the additional work. When he returned to the phone he declined the quote and decided to try different equipment and work on it one more hour before giving up. They were successful and cleared the drains of everything!
He sincerely wanted to correct the issue fairly! He was not trying to make money he was working hard for our best interest. I would highly recommend him as a knowledgeable, honest and capable contractor!

Touchdown took on the big project of completely replacing or lining our old cast iron pipes. The project turned out to be more complicated than any of us imagined - Touchdown first discovered that one of our pipes was almost completely blocked by tree roots, and had to spend hours cleaning it out. They then discovered they needed to hammer through some concrete to replace a certain section of our pipes. Even with the extra discoveries, our final bill was lower than an estimate from another plumber who didn't quote us for those problems. Rich and all of the guys from his crew were efficient, nice, and communicative about whatever was going on. Will definitely call them again for any plumbing problems!

Lakeside American little league had a water leak and needed a plumber right away to get our water turned back on. I called around and couldn't get anyone out right away just to help to see what we need and what it would cost till I found Rich and touchdown plumbing. He came out right away and told me what needed to be done. I called Touchdown Plumbing because I needed to resolve multiple plumbing issues: drainage, a weird problem with a toilet and a water flow issue with a shower.
The drainage was resolved quickly and easily as I was expecting.
What pleasantly surprised me is how Edwin fixed my toilet. I was expecting to have to replace this toilet with a new one. Which was annoying because this toilet is only a few years old. I should mention that this toilet was looked at, about a year ago, by another plumber from another licensed firm and he was not successful in fixing it. It took Edwin a few minutes to come out of my bathroom smiling with the piece of plastic that was jamming the water-flow. Then he also diagnosed successfully the problem with my shower which came down to a faulty shower head.
I can say with good confidence that the service provided was not only extremely competent, but also aimed at helping the customer save money which is quite rare to find these days. Touchdown plumbing (and I'll be asking for Edwin) has earned its place among my Yelp collections. I will be recommending their services.

I've used TDP twice now. The first time was kind of an emergency since our toilet broke and I needed it replaced. The guys that came over did a good job and were fair and transparent in their pricing.
The second time I used TDP was to install a tankless water heater and run a new gas line directly from the meter. I went with them because of a prior good experience and they were very competitive in terms of quoted price. Installation was seamless and the guy did a very clean job. They're my go to for plumbing now.

On a recent stormy day, a planter blew into the house bib on the wall of my house and I had to shut the water off to the house to stop the flow. I called Touchdown Plumbing, the phone was answered by a live person. He asked me to send photos of the damaged plumbing to be sure to bring the needed repair parts. The plumber arrived within 15 minutes and had the hose bib and valve replaced in 20 minutes. The replacement was a sturdier, more compact arrangement than the damaged plumbing. Very courteous, efficient plumber.

Another 5 star review. Last thing you want especially on a Saturday afternoon is to get a call from a tenant telling you there's water leaking from the building. Our usual plumber doesn't work weekends, which left us scrambling for an available plumber. Luckily for us, there was Yelp and Rich from Touchdown Plumbing. He answered the phone immediately (!!!) and was at the property before we were. An hour and a reasonable invoice later, crisis averted and Saturday saved.

We've been calling Rich at Touchdown Plumbling for years for various issues. We always get quick and quality service. Last time, they replaced our water tank. Most recently they hydro-jetted an outdoor drain that was clogged and fixed a leaky bathtub faucet that was corroded in the same day. Both issues were more severe than expected, but Steven was very thorough and did a great job at fixing both. He was very nice and good at communicating. Invoices are always very detailed and itemized so you know exactly what you're paying for. After another great experience, we are sure that we will be contacting Touchdown Plumbing again the next time we have an issue.

I contacted Touchdown to provide a quote for installation of a whole house water filter, plus some other services. We scheduled a day and time, but Rich canceled just 30 minutes before, stating he had an emergency. We rescheduled for about a week later, and Rich showed up and inspected the site. He told me to send him links for what we wanted installed, which I did, and he responded that he'd send an estimate. But he never did. I contacted him via text and Yelp multiple times with no response. Now I'm back at square one and need to find a new plumber. Do not waste your time with Touchdown if you need a company that communicates quickly and professionally and follows up in a timely manner.

I woke up on a Saturday morning and discovered a leak in my garage that turned out was a slab leak (from a leaky pipe). They were able to come out on Saturday to take a look. Turns out I had a slab leak, they had to dispatch another technician who had to come back with a jackhammer to jackhammer 12 of concrete to find the leak, replace the section of pipe and fill the hole and level out the concrete.

It wasn't an easy job, but I appreciate Touchdown Plumbing and Drains coming out and fix my issue. Not a lot of plumbers will fix slab leaks.

Had an emergency because I tried to change out the faucet in the backyard myself and of course I twisted and broke the pipe. I have been using TDP for about 3 years now and I don't think I will ever use another. When we purchase our home they came to do our inspection for us. There was a leak few other plumbers couldn't locate. Rich's staff did one thing and located in repaired the leak. We have a sump pump and it's a nightmare when you work from home with a daycare.
