Incredibly prompt response, professional interaction and the problem was solved entirely. The work area in both the bathroom and kitchen were cleaned prior to leaving. Would absolutely use again and recommend to others!

I'm a property manager, managing over 300 units in the Long Beach area. I called Jessie a couple times , and he did a fairly good job. But on last last job I gave him, he was incredibly unprofessional .   When you are working with the tenants, it is very important to be very professional and not have a lot of back and forth.

He can do a small job just fine,. But if you need him in a professional capacity this is not your guy.

This review is long overdue, but I've used Marquez several times now and I pledge that as long as I live in Long Beach, I will not use anyone else for plumbing problems. Here's why:
* They always show up on time, and usually early
* The work is top notch
* The workers are always courteous, clean and FAST!
* Crazy cheap compared to most others

Marquez is a family run operation with Jesse Marquez at the helm. Jesse usually only shows up for big bids and such, but his brothers definitely follow in quick step behind him when it comes to service. Just today I had them come over, snake a clogged sink drain, fix a leaky faucet on another and replace an entire toilet, all for just over $300, and that included the cost of the comode.

Don't waste your time with anyone else, call Marquez right now. Go on, do it.

Yes, Luis of Marquez Bros is awesome. He came out last summer (2017) and cleared our 95 year old pipes at least 20 feet deep. Checked another place too, to make sure that one wasn't clogged. Excellent and fast service. He was out within an hour after I called. Great company.

After spending a frustrating morning trying to find someone to fix a badly stopped up kitchen sink, I called Marquez brothers. The phone was answered by a real person who took my information and offered an appointment within a window of 1-3 pm. She advised that if the plumber was free earlier, she would call. He arrived a few minutes after 3. He examined the problem and went straight to work snaking out the clog. A half-hour later, the sink was not only clear, it was spotless - he cleaned up after himself. The service was worth every bit of the $85 charge. I will certainly call on Marquez Brothers again as needed.

I had all my drains (including toilet drain) and some drain pipe replaced by the Marquez Brothers. I can't say it was cheap but I can say I believe I got my money's worth. Luis crawled under my house and gave me a free estimate, no strings attached. I took it right away as they had been recommended to me by a reliable source. Luis came back in 3 days with 3 of his brothers and finished the job in less than 4 hours. They cleaned up everything and provided parts and work we didn't even discuss, including a new drain and stopper mechanism for the tub and a new seal and caulking for the toilet. They were all uniformed, clean, considerate, and friendly. I was very pleased with their work.

I called Marquez Bros about serious blockage in the main sewer line in the new house I just bought.  Running any water in the house would back up the drains and start flooding the bathroom within 2 minutes.  My wife and I were not keen on taking a shower in sewage in our new home!

They picked up and had a plumber out within an hour. The blockage was worse than we originally thought, but Miguel stayed until he was able pull/snake out the obstruction even though he was being called out to help out on another job.  That kind of customer service and commitment will put Marquez Bros at the top of my list anytime I have a plumbing problem in the future.

Don't know why I can't get an estimate from these guys.? Jesse came by and took a look and said he would call me back with the estimate but I haven't heard from them, that was over a month ago! I wanted them to possibly re pipe my plumbing. I have called them a few times to ask them for the estimate to no avail. I guess they don't want my business. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Outstanding service.  They arrive on time, do quality work, and charge a reasonable price.  I've used them numerous times and have never been disappointed.

I work for a major Property Management company in Long Beach, I have tried several plumbers but Marquez Brothers is the best, they are dependable and professional.  Their prices are very competitive....

I have been using their service for years and on one occasion they did an incomplete job with the plumbing under the building. Costed tons of money later down the line with another company to fix what they should have fixed. Marquez wanted to charge for the job not done as well.
So I put them on suspension. I just ran into an emergency and the person who answered had the coldest attitude as if the incident had happened yesterday; he brought it up and refused service.
I let him know that he could rethink it and that if he let it slide I would write something good on yelp, but he said he did not care. That I could even report it to BBB and to Donald J. Trump.
This is the problem in our country, the right to refuse service. All of the businesses need to take a Hippocratic oath just like doctors do to offer their services. And you can count on it that I will report their inept phone behavior to the BBB and my representative and see if he cares or doesn't care that I told our President.

Quick service, showed up on time, did great work, had all the equipment, cleaned up, charged a reasonable price.  What's not to like.  Have used them before, will use them again.

Don't ask for too much. These guys are lazy. If it is more than a stopped up sink don't call these guys - they might get dirty and they don't bring anything to clean up with. There are many people who are way better.

I called this plumbing company yesterday on the recommendation of my old plumbers who are retiring. A girl answered the phone and I told her what the problem was (a leaking toilet connector). She was horribly rude and as soon as she found out that I lived in a condominium, she stated that they do not do work in condos or apartments because of the whole water turn-off situation (although I see here on this site that they DO work in apartments/condos, so I guess she was lying to me). Anyway, she said that she was going to check with her boss and call me right back. I never heard from her again...no call back...no nothing. So happy that I didn't hire these people!

Marquez plumbing is a solid professional service company. We have used them on several occasions and their work is excellent.  They return calls. They show up when they say they will. They are expensive. Their work is excellent, however, the bill you receive is often not itemized.  The labor and parts are all commingled together for a grand total, which I do not like.   Their work is so good I just overlook that part and pay the expensive bill.

Waaaay overcharged me and never mentioned price up front.  Took him about 10 minutes to snake an easy-access clean out in front of the house and charged $195.  Not very well-equipped either.  Just a snake.

Again, quick and excellent service. My wife texted me after noon saying plumbing was backed up in the morning. I called from the road.0, saying I would be home after 3. They said they would be out at 3:30-5 and they showed at 3:35. 45 minutes and they were gone. Terrific service once again!

These guys were recommended by another plumber who was not able to replace my gas line. They were in and out in a couple days and did a great job. They're my new go to plumber in Ling Beach

Called and she picked up so no voicemail which is great. My tenants needed this job done asap and plumber showed up same afternoon and completed for a fair price. This is how it should work unlike Tony over at TL Plumbing. My review is over there for him if you're wondering.

Excellent, Professional, Thorough, and Friendly! Luis arrived promptly and got right to work replacing some old gas lines. My dryer and stove were connected in no time! Great doing business with them.

I called on a Friday and left a message with one of their plumbers, and when I didn't hear back the next week, I called again and left a message with the woman who answers their phones. Never heard back.

A friend recommended them to me, said they're terrible at customer service but do good work. I'll never get to find out.

Really awesome plumbers! They answer the phone, call back and show up when they say they say they will. They did two separate jobs for me and gave me fair to good prices. They also made a few suggestions on simple enhancements that I can do myself. I'll be using them for all my future plumbing needs and you should also!

Luis is a gem. He came,he saw and he conquered the leak in less than 40 min. Besides being a highly competent plumber he is a really a  nice , pleasant guy with a good sense of humor which immediately eased my concern re my plumbing issues. Also.....the price was very fair !

Incredibly Rude plumbing service that over-charge their clients and do shoddy work. They are based out of what looks to be an abandoned building without any signage and absolutely refuse to respond to messages or call back promptly. Go any where else for service, would NOT recommend.

I am so perplexed on what just happened with this plumber and would like to share my experience.  Note that I have used this plumber before.  Jesse, the plumber, went to my other house and told my husband and I that he'd have to order parts for the specialty toilet.  We decided to replace the toilet. He said their company provides low end Gilbert toilets to install.   We chose to purchase a better quality toilet.  He told me to call the office to set date to return tomorrow to install.  Which I did.  Then, we purchased a new toilet at Lowes along with a wax ring and 12 supply line. After that, I called Rebecca in the office to let her know what I purchased and inquired if the price will be the same.  She put me on hold and said I just work in the office...Jesse said get someone else to the job.  What?  I asked to speak to him.  He would not get on the phone nor take my calls on his cell phone.  Very unprofessional!
