Kens plumbing did an amazing job coming out recently to fix our heater. We called and they were out there the next day, the technician even stayed until 6:30pm to make sure we had heat before he left! We had the heater fixed last year and the company who fixed it did a terrible job and didn't fix the real problem. Kens plumbing came out, took the entire heater apart , fixed the real problem and charged us a fraction of what we paid last time we got it fixed. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a reliable, honest, and affordable HvAC company!!!

2 other plumbers including Roto-Rooter attempted to fix my shower drain clog and even wanted to charge me $2600 to fix all the pipes!!!  Then Mr Rooter plumbers came claiming they could fix anything and also failed advising in new pipes.  Instead kens plumbing who has a relationship with my HOA came out and fixed with a non machine powered snake of all things, incredible!!!  Saved me soooooo much money!!!!! Could not recommend them more highly, most skilled plumbers you can find.

I don't understand these reviews. They were on time. Addressed all concerns. Clean and neat. Friendly and polite. I'll call them every time. I can only imagine the people who were pleased didn't post.

Ken's Plumbing has been so helpful EVERY time in the 10 years since I found them!  I do not understand how they would be rated less than 5 stars.  Their prices are reasonable and fair, and while of course more than you would spend doing the job yourself, they are certainly no higher than other plumbers.

Recently I had a very backed-up bathtub and was going to have to wait a couple of days for Ken's (probably because they are skilled and therefore are booked farther in advance), so I called another company with their drain cleanout special.  Not only was that company unable to clear the drain (they stripped the screws and could not access it), they quoted me a ridiculous astronomical amount to go underneath the house and cut something up to clear the drain plus another insanely high cost to replace the simple toilet tank assembly.  So then someone from Ken's came along, unphased by anything, snaked out the difficult old drain, fixed the toilet, cleaned up, and went on his way.  ($145 plus cost of toilet parts, and it would have been less if he didn't have to get out the stripped screws.)

Everyone from Ken's has been courteous, honest, prompt and efficient, and they know what they are doing!!  I learned my lesson not to call anyone but them.  Highly recommend.

Weird!  I called to have a drain pipe repaired that had corroded because it was galvanized.  The lady told me we don't do things like that.  Really??? Then what does a plumbing company do exactly??? Find someone else.  These guys seem confused and certainly not interested in your business.

Very inefficient! No one knows what the other person is doing. Thus, the customer gets to pay more. They don't accept responsibility for their mistakes.

We recently had them come out to fix our water heater which had blown out thanks to the recent rain.  They came out the same morning, and identified the problem as a recalled whirlpool part (never, ever, buy anything manufactured by Whirlpool).  When I got the part, they came out that afternoon and promptly installed it.  When I got home from work that night, only to discover that the repaired water heater had blown out, Ken;s son, Scott, came out to my house at 8:30 at night to help fix it.  Great service!

We have used Ken's Plumbing for many years now. They are reliable and responsive when we have a plumbing issue.
We have tried others, from time to time, but always come back to Ken's!

I was over charged for the replacement of my kitchen sink faucet.

This plumber charged me for 1 3/4 hours for labor of which perhaps 20 minutes were for plumbing labor.

The faucet cost $100 and parts were approximately $35 plus tax and the total bill was $355.

Labor was charged at $100 per hour for 1 3/4 hours. When he went to get a new faucet, instead of going to Home Dept. which is 2 blocks from me, I have no idea where he went for approximately  1 1/2  hours.

I feel like I was robbed!!!!!

We needed our tankless h2o heater fixed, the type and model were known by them before they came to our home, when the guy came, he fiddled around for an hour, after which, he claimed that these kind of heaters are hard to find parts for, and lo & behold they didn't have any. They made $100.00 for doing nothing more than looking at its insides for awhile. Be sure you ask questions, and don't just assume they know best and won't take advantage because they're the professionals.

I've had my own success in clearing my clogged bathroom sink several times in the past.  But this was different.  The clog I had wasn't clearing no matter what I did!  Plunging, snaking (with a cheap snake), liquid plumber, other ideas I had seen on you tube involving tools.  Nothing I did worked.
I thought an unfortunate but needed call to a plumber who advertises regularly on the radio should do it.  But their reviews here left me thinking twice!  Never had to do this before!
I checked with a neighbor in my condo, and she told me that she's always been happy with Ken's Plumbing!
So I set up an appointment for the next day, and they sent Frank.  VERY pleasant fella!  And he knocked out the clog in 5 mins!  WOW!
I couldn't be happier!  And all taken care of on my birthday!  Great experience all the way around!!!!

I will not use this place again. My property management company called this place to see about a leak coming from my unit going into the unit downstairs. Because it was not an HOA issue I got stuck with the $80 bill. It was only a clip that was lose on my faucet that was causing the leak. The plumber that was sent out was EXTREMELY unfriendly like he was hating life and honestly kind of scary. He spent no more than  5 minutes and did not even investigate anything else that could have been contributing to the leak. I felt that the company could have prorate the bill because hardly anything was done or at best sent out a plumber that did not appear that he was mad at the world. Perhaps it is good that he only spend less that 5 min because with this guy's attitude I really did not want him in my house any longer than that. If it was not for my hysterical neighboor downstairs and my lack of sleep, I would not have allowed the management company to call these jokers anyway I could have fixed this issue myself.

Do not use them! They suck, they suck, they suck! They promised in the morning to show up by 1-3pm, they called at 3:30pm with a bogus excuse and they never showed up. This was an emergency and their word is trash! Don't use them! They suck, they suck, they suck!

Just a heads up...they never got to my place to fix anything.  I had a leak coming from some pipes related to the heater from my ceiling.  My HOA has us call them in case of emergency.  The water was leaking really fast so I called them 10 mins to 8.  When they called back the plumber who was on call was insistent that if he heads over at that very minute then the first hour is $150 then $80 after.  I asked if that was really necessary because by the time he got there it will be 8 and that's when he would normally start.  He reinforced it will be $150 the first hour none the less.  OK, that was a hill I did not want to die on.

Next, I start getting a lectured abut what is and is not my responsibility when it comes to plumbing problems of the HOA.  Again, I stated I will worry about it later as I am pretty sure it's the pipes from the heater (my responsibility) in the ceiling as this can be a common problem but that I won't know if it's the HOA's or my responsbility until he can have a look at it.  By this point it was almost 8 so I said I would call back after 8 to the regular line and make an appointment with them.  Instead, I called a company over in Anaheim known as Debinaire, who actually helped replace a lot of parts to the heater not related to the pipes before and  who were very good and nice to deal with on the phone and in person prior.

So I don't know what kind of work they actually do but this experience goes to show that people skills and being fair/reasonable can help make or break if someone uses you for business even in emergency situations.

They don't accept responsibility for their mistakes. Recharged me to fix something twice that now I've found still wasn't fixed correctly. This has cost me money having to pay a huge increased water bill because it wasn't done right. They also have the audacity to charge $158.00 to come out to tell you what the problem is!!! They make this without any work being done at all. That is totally unfair!! We found a reputable, honest company that does not charge a fee to give an estimate, and who also fixes things RIGHT. I'd run as fast as you can from this  company. They are crooks. If a company charges a fee to give an estimate, or one so high, this tells you right away this company is greedy and shady. This used to be a good company many years ago, but they sure aren't now. Again....that is insane to make me pay $158.00 for them to do NO WORK. Their work isn't good work when they do it, and they don't deserve what I had to pay. Karma will come back on them. You don't treat people like this. I feel they should refund my $158.00. Judging by many of the negative reviews on here, it sure looks like a lot of other people were not happy with their work. It is for sure subpar. It's obvious they don't even care about negative reviews and keep ripping people off. I don't believe the good reviews, unless occasionally they send someone out who knows what they're doing. We sure won't be using them again. We work in real estate & will make sure to warn our customers and anyone else we know to not use them. PLEASE...Take notice how this company doesn't even respond to a bad review. Reputable companies always respond back to negative reviews trying to explain something, saying they're sorry this happened, or wanting to solve the problem. By them not responding it speaks VOLUMES. It shows they don't care!!!!!

My roommate had 2 new faucets that needed to be installed, as well as a couple of parts underneath the sink that needed to be replaced. She also had a garbage disposal that needed to be installed and an issue with the furnace and the electronic fireplace that needed to be looked at. The HOA recommended Ken's Plumbing.

When my roommate spoke to the office mgr Rita, she said they could do either the fireplace or the furnace. I cant remember which one but I believe it was the fireplace. My friend was quoted 645$ for for the entire job which included looking into what the problem was with the fireplace. We set the appointment, but the plumber Rita sent out wasn't certified to look at the fireplace, and we weren't told in advance otherwise we would have rescheduled. When I spoke with her she told me her electronics plumber was still busy with another job and couldn't come out. It took 3 hours to finish the faucets and the garbage disposal. That night we noticed a leak under one of the faucets they installed. We had to call them out again, and they came a few days later. The guy spent about 5 minutes working on it, said the faucet leak was fixed, but later that night it still was leaking. Once again another call to get them out, at which time the guy repaired the leak, but later that night the 'plug thingy' came undone because in the plumber's haste to leave, he didn't properly secure the plug switch underneath the sink. *sigh*  After the second visit I confronted Rita about us needing to get the fireplace checked, she said the other plumber was still busy and could not come out. I told her what was it she originally quoted my friend, and she said 645$ at which time i asked if she gave an adjustment since they did not do part of the work we were quoted for. She said no. I patiently made the case that she overcharged my friend and that we shouldn't have been charged the original amount since they didn't do all the work they were supposed to. After a minute of trying to explain our side Rita hung up on me. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Based on my experience they lack integrity and ethics.

they wanted to charge me $600 for a repair that cost me $35 to do it myself.  It took me less than an hour to fix.  I believe in profit, but that's ridiculous!
They gave me an estimate for $600 to replace/rebuild a pilot valve on a wall furnace. I took out the part myself(15 minutes) and brought it to a local plumbing store. They sold me a pilot assembly for $35. Installed it(15 minutes), done, fixed. They also gave me an estimate for a new 25,000 btu wall furnace, $1650. I went to Home Depot, priced out a 35,000 btu furnace for less than $600. It might have taken me an hour to install. And I'm no handyman!
These guys are rip offs. I called them before writing this to see if there is any good explanation for this price gouging, and they never called me back to stand up for themselves.

If I could give a score less than a 1 Star, I would.

Please DO NOT EVER use this plumbing company. This is the worst company I have ever worked with and their service both labor and customer service is despicable.

I was forced to use them because of my HOA and these are the reasons why they deserve the negative review.
1. Starting with scheduling: They rescheduled me 3 times without even telling me. They came out Friday, couldn't do what they were asked to do, so they told me they'd return Monday. Monday came and I had to call them to find out that they'd return Tuesday. But again, I called Tuesday to confirm and she said they would come out Wednesday. Get your scheduling straight!
2. Be careful! They charge $96/ hour. I have a Masters degree and I don't even make $96/hr. It is a crime.
3. They came out to snake out my kitchen sink after I told them we couldn't get it through by my contractor and they tried it anyway, so obviously it got stuck. They left their equipment over night and came back on Saturday just to pick it up. They then came back on Wednesday, did something in the garage and got it working. A week later I got a bill for close to $400 stating that they spent 4 hours fixing it. I don't know how they even confirmed that time. They never came in to check in or check out. That is a scam. They're charging for hours they they spent on ineffectively. Why am I being charged for their incompetence and spending time doing what we had already said didn't work. AND what kind of plumbing company would spend 4 hours on snaking a line? Are you kidding me? If I didn't have to use them because of the HOA, Mike Diamond Plumbing would have done it for $100!!
This place is despicable and I am ashamed that places like this even exist to rip off hard-working people.
Please don't use them if you want to not get ripped off and be treated with the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Called Ken's on the recommendation of a friend in Long Beach, because I had some kitchen plumbing issues.  They were extremely helpful and explained my options very well.  I ended up buying a new faucet and disposal and having them install.  Frank, the technician, was fantastic.  He showed up promptly and worked cleanly and efficiently.  What I had been quoted as a $400 job by another company cost me less than $200.  I would highly recommend calling Ken's for any plumbing needs you may have!

I have been having a few problems with the plumbing in my condo lately and Ken's Plumbing has been helping me with all of them. They have been a constant source of professionalism and assistance during a very stressful time.

I have had to call both their normal reception desk and their emergency after-hours line and service with both lines has been exceptional. Allison, who works their front desk, is easy to work with and has been a great go-between for myself, their plumbing staff and the HOA for my condo. I have had both Frank and David on-site to complete repairs for me. They have been on time, professional and provide reasonable assessments and scope of work plans. Estimates for cost are accurate and they do not try to push unneeded work. They let me know what is actually needed vs. what is over the top.

I will continue to work with Ken's Plumbing as long as I live in the area.

I live in a condo and my neighbor stated there was a water leak from my bathroom into his bathroom and the HOA said it was out responsibility. Kens was recommended by my HOA since they apparently know our building and have been used before. Initially the receptionist was very rude and off putting, then the plumber came out and did nothing but run my shower for 15 mins and look in my neighbors bathroom but saw nothing. So they charged us $80 for inspection and said they see nothing and to start using the shower again. Well the first time I used the shower it leaked in my neighbors again. So we called kens again (mistake) and they came out again, this time two men. They ran my shower again but blocked the drain and yea my shower running caused a small drip into my neighbors shower. Why didn't they do that the first time? Then they told me they don't know where the leak is coming from and they wouldn't even give me an estimate or do further research because it wasn't worth it, they recommended tearing out the bathroom and redoing it. Ok thanks?? Then a month later they called me and said they sent me a bill but it was returned to sender because they don't have my address, well duh! I'm not the person who made the appointment, my neighbor was! And of course again, Rita the receptionist was a joy to talk to. Not!

I'm am completely irritated. They called me last week because the tenant above me was having a plumbing issue. They called saying they needed me to let the plumber in my apartment to check something. I scheduled an appointment for 8:30-9am.
Today he shows up an hour late and when I go upstairs to ask what he needs in my apartment (because I'm late for work) he says he has to get started to work and then he'll come down. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME???
First off, when you tell someone you will be there, YOU GET THERE ON TIME. It's very unprofessional to show up LATE. Secondly, if they needed to get into my place, why on earth would they set the appointment to when he begins to work on the place above. My appointment is when he can come into my place.
WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING?

Now I'm late, irritated, and pissed off. Terrible service. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM!!! And looks like I'm not the only one who has had a bad experience.

I wasted hours trying to unclog my bathroom sink with Draino and also a couple of different snakes, with no luck.  Frank came out and cleared it in 10 minutes.  Friendly guy, cleaned up his mess, and gave me a discount I didn't even know they were advertising -- what more can you ask for?  He also gave me advice on how to keep it from clogging again, and explained why his snake worked when mine didn't.  I'll definitely call them back next time this happens!

Called Ken's out for a gas leak.  Long Beach Gas shut off our service so it was important that the leaks be repaired promptly.  The receptionist was efficient and made an appointment on the spot for the following morning.

Frank, the technician from Ken's was excellent!!!  We found Frank to be a totally honest and an efficient worker who strives to correct all things wrong with our two leaking gas fittings.

Don't quite understand the other low reviews for this business.  Ken's charges pretty standard rates for time and materials and Frank was not a slouch when it came to us getting our moneys worth.

Bob just came by and now I get to start the new year with clean drains. I was late and he was cool about it. He cleared the pipe that drains my sink, dishwasher, and washing machine. I think he said he went about 35 feet, so I should be good for awhile. Ironically I found the enzyme drain stuff under the sink when we were clearing it out. . He reminded me that I should use that once in awhile. He also took care of the slow draining bathroom sink while he was at it. All in $260. Bargain to start the year off with clean pipes. Thanks Bob and congratulations Ken on your retirement.  :)
