We subscribed to both the Termite Prevention and the Pest Free 365 monthly spraying.  Termite prevention did NOT prevent termites nor did they service the traps or check them to the point we had to discontinue that service.  We continued with the monthly spraying.  Due to an accounts receivable error on the part of the company, we had to spend several hours on the phone trying to make them understand how they misapplied a payment (confusing our terminate service portion with our pest 365 portion) and that we were indeed current with our account.  We're now receiving calls for the same exact accounts receivable error that we straightened out months ago.  After spending another 2.5 hours on the phone this morning only to be treated like a criminal by supervisor Courtney asking me for my side of the story?!?!  Are you kidding me?????  All our canceled checks tell our side of the story quite well and unfortunately we are now looking for a new pest company.  Any suggestions????

This company has no integrity.  I signed a one year contract to have termite bate stations installed and serviced.  The contract had a fixed price written to extrend the contract three more years after the first year.  When the first year was up I had them come out for an inspection. I had small holes in the ceiling that where identical to the ones the inspector had pointed out to me the first year and told me where terminte damage.  At the end of the year when I pointed the new holes out to him he said it was not termite damage and seemed annoyed that I pointed them out and questioned him.  I decided to sign and pay for three more years of service anyway.  I gave them my credit card and signed the contract for three years.  The company never ran my credit card or extended my contract.  I would call the company and would get connected to a call center that was no help.  They said someone would contact me about the issue.  I received an email from someone and sent them a copy of the contract but nothing was ever done.  I called several more times and nobody ever helped.

The problem is a paid a lot to have the bait stations installed and now I am going to have to pay a lot to have new bait stations installed because no other company with service bait stations a different company installed.  The price for installation is much higher than the price for maintain.  In addition I now have termites again.  

I have all the documentation for the initial and second contact I signed.  I am going to file a complaint with the BBB.  Don't use this company.  They sell you an install high price product and then never come back.

Incredibly frustrated with this company and DO NOT RECOMMEND. Paid thousands of dollars for a scorpion home seal and spraying around my property. I was seeing 10-20 live scorpions a week INSIDE my house even after the home seal. They use products that are inappropriate for the targeted pest and have NO IDEA what they are doing. I do not write bad reviews ever, but I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. The best....no call back, no apology, no compensation for the THOUSANDS of dollars wasted. Had to call Seal Out Scorpion to come do the job right. They said they have to come and repair home seals from Western Exterminators all the time. Thanks for wasting my time, money, and letting both my dog and I get stung by scorpions....multiple times. Still waiting for my money back...Bethany S.

I feel they took advantage of my 94 year old mother. She signed a contract not  knowing or understanding the high cost and thought it was a one  year at $600 not $2 485 . for 4 years.  no bill sent to house. she received a email to pay in full or face collections !  shame on you!

The worst customer service co I've ever seen.  Paid for termite protection and they do not show up for treatments that they sell and get paid for.  Told I would receive a call from management...never happens.  Told service person would be coming between 8am-noon (had  to take off work to meet him)  NEVER SHOWED UP NEVER CALLED.  Based on my horrid experience, plus what I read here...you should stay FAR away from these unprofessional crooks.  I have called AZ attorney general to report fraud and I am suing them in small claims court for every dime I can get!!!

I was charged for a termite inspection that was NEVER done! I have called the company repeatedly and my calls have been ignored. The charge was over three hundred dollars. From my experience I would not recommend this company.

I paid for termite treatment one year ago. I've had repeated reoccurrences. they came out several months ago and instead of treating the foundation inside the house this time they retreated the ceiling area. The termites came back the activity is very strong and every time I call I can't get anybody to call me back.  Nobody to come out -  I just keep getting the runaround &  apologies and promises. In the meantime they're trying to get a hold of me to pay for this year's warranty when they haven't even corrected this problem!!

I rarely write Home service reviews but this warning is needed.  Western Exterminator, formerly  Arizona Exterminating Co(which was great) , since it  bought out the former has gone down hill too much.  I am speaking to the termite control specifically, here.  It is a different annual contract and is now ineffective. For the second time in a few months, I have had termite activity, namely the straws hanging off the ceiling. Each time, I have to wait three weeks for the appt to take care of it.  I always ask for a text before they arrive, and with multiple calls to verify, that has never happened.  They just show up, usually outside of their 4-hr appt window.

Today just was the worst.  I made the appt 3 weeks ago. Last week I verified that I would be texted when the tech was on the way and verified the phone, time and day of appt so I could have someone present for the tech. I called THIS morning, in the middle of the 4-hr appt window to verify that today's tech had my info for the text, and I was assured he did. She even updated the request on email and text to the tech.  I call next 30 minutes after the appt-window was over, only to be told that the appt was cancelled(by whom?--they verified I didn't...).  Cancelled!!! AFter I had a friend on standby all morning.  Not to mention, when I called this last time, they had my old house phone number(again)...which I have changed every time I am on the phone with them. It never sticks. They were not even going to tell me of the cancellation either, apparently. I have left a urgent message for the manager, but DO NOT USE THIS TERMITE SERVICE.  They are not trustworthy, nor do they give good service or communicate effectively. Big annual price tag for crappy service.

I did not make an appointment with this company. They came and inspected my property without my permission and without an appointment. They then sent me a bill.  I called and was told that they were sorry and that they would not be billing me. Yet I continue to receive bills from them. I absolutely would not recommend them. Stay far away.

Horrible customer service. Twice in one month the tech has been a no show for a scheduled appointment.  Today I called the office twice and no one has gotten back with me. Clearly this company does not respect others precious time. There are plenty of other companies that get a 5 star on Yelp. Time to cut them ties.

I was getting service every other month and failed to notice that the auto payment I had set up was 121.00.  that's insane and shame on me for not catching it.  When I called to inquire they did nothing.  Be careful!!! They overcharge!

I paid for an update of an existing service warranty and got a bill for $2500 for various preventative services, with no description of what was wrong.  I called and could not get anyone at the location associated with the service, only a central operator who had a hard time even finding my account.  I have asked for my money back and would not recommend these folks to anyone, it is not customer oriented and they just want to hit you with a big bill with no explanation.

I've been a customer for years since they were Arizona Exterminating. Craig has been my guy the whole time and has been great as he was able to take care of the ant problem that Terminix and Truly Nolen were not able to resolve. I would have given them 5 stars.

Several months ago I signed up for automatic billing at $75 every two months. Then they merged with Western Exterminator. For the most part things remained good. However after my November 20 service. I was charged twice on November 23 so I called them about it and the person I spoke to said they were having some trouble with their billing and said they reversed the second charge. I checked with my bank each of the next two days and still did not see the credit. I called again and spoke to someone else who took my account and contact info and said they'd look into it and get back to me. That was three days ago. I just reached out to my tech Craig to see if he could help me get some resolution. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but if I get no answers by the middle of next week I'm canceling my service.

Update: Craig got involved and the credit was applied on Saturday. For some reason however my bank didn't show it until today (Tuesday).

I'll recommend this company but I'd advise caution toward using their automatic billing. I plan to change this ASAP and start making manual payments either through their website or sending them a check.

Don't waste your time or money. They schedule appointments and don't show up. When asked why they say scheduling conflict and schedule for next day. They don't show up for the second time! When I called the first representative I spoke with saw that I was scheduled from 8a to 12p and put me on hold. Ok I wait, then get hung up on. I call back and new representative doesn't see anything scheduled for 8a-12p and said I had to wait until Monday! Are you ****ing kidding me? I took off work on Friday because I was told between 9a-5p, I lost a day of pay! I rescheduled obligations I had on Saturday to have this horrible company not show up again.

I was with Alpha Ecological from 2009-2015, guess they got bought by Western.  I've been with Western since then.  The bi-monthly service was OK, not great.  He sprayed outside the house (and would do the garage and inside when asked).  I never saw him check for termites, rodents, wasps, etc.  When I asked for a rodent inspection, he had no recommendations on where the mice were getting in to my attic - my neighbor found it around the A/C hose.  When he would spray or put out grains for ants, they were back within a day.  

I decided to change companies to the same one as my neighbor, which saved me $10 each service.  When I called to cancel, the person on the phone said he couldn't stop my service and connected me to a high pressure sales person.  I was on the phone for five minutes patiently listening to her try to keep me as a customer by listing all the things my guy should have been doing but never did.

The new company treated for ants and they haven't been back for a month.

Bi-monthly service so-so, sales tactics give them a minus score.

After years of paying an annual fee for HOPP termite service, I am terminating my relationship with this company aghast at the poor customer service I've received. Their bookkeeping is horrible. I contacted WE because they failed to invoice me for the annual fee. They told me I had a credit balance (seemed unlikely to me, but they confirmed when I questioned this). A few weeks later I get a very rude demand to pay what I owe--but they won't tell me what I owe and, although I asked 3 times, won't send me an invoice. I finally call their call center & they tell me the amount. I pay, but need an invoice for my taxes, & they won't send. They inspect, but instead of a typical termite report, all I get is a proof of service that simply says that the inspector didn't note anything (although there was substantial termite damage since the last inspection). Not what I'm used to seeing. After a lot of wrangling, I finally get a service rep who emails me an invoice/receipt for the amount I already paid. A month later, another call from WE saying my account is past due. Insane! Who can run a business with such crappy bookkeeping.

This rating is NOT A REFLECTION of my service tech. He is FABULOUS.  It is because of Craig that I have stayed as long as I have. But I have to leave because the office people and billing people are incompetent and rude. They loose payments and then argue with me that I don't pay my bills and threaten me with collections people. I shared all My bank records and copies that bills were paid and they still don't believe me.  They then also keep trying to raise my rates every few months but thanks to Craig that gets stopped but it's not fair to him to have to put up with that and
He should not have to do that as part of his job. You have to threaten to cancel service for them to not raise your rate. The office has no concept of customer service nor regard for customer loyalty. I hope Craig leaves and goes somewhere else so I can have him back but I can't stand hassle of office anymore

Today our termite issue was addressed by Az Exterminating.  Fingers crossed that the measures they instituted will close the gap that allowed the termites re-entry.  They were very apologetic, which is nice, but rings hollow after requiring two yelp reviews to get there.  Still, they did deal with the problem.

Their pest control, on the other hand, has been exemplary.  Whenever a bug situation requires special treatment, Tony is more than willing to stop by and do what needs to be done.

local tec Is unreliable, lies to the company about treatments that you have never rendered but charged for!! Stay away treat your self! Save the money and go to he depot or lowes.. What a great company...I never need to contact the main office because my regular service guy takes care of everything! On the rare occasion I have a problem, Chuck, my exterminator, bends over backwards to get over here right away and stop the problem before it begins! He has taken care of ants and rats and termites....and my dogs love him! His personality and customer service is above any other! When looking for pest control, this is your best bet!

This is a horrible company to have come out to your house. Before the company was bought formerly Arizona Exterminator. It was a great company. Now though it's run by people that I would not allow access to my home. Every month some different tech would show up. Not knowing what was done asking me what they should do. I don't mean them asking if you have seem any pests. But questions like what does the other tech do???? Idk look at your notes. Seriously there are much better companies to do business with in Phoenix. Save your money and buy services elsewhere.

Should someone from Western Exterminator come to your home (for rodents, in my case), be VERY careful.  They scare you with rat stories and start with an outrageous sum to rid of same.  I felt pressured into approving a program,   and agreed to an almost $3000.00 payment that should not have been nearly that high.  The salesman (and that;s what he was),  assured me I had a complete family lurking in my home, but only one was discovered.    He was not clear as to what this $3000.00 paid for, and I continued to be billed.  I called and cancelled any future service.  Western Exterminator is not an ethical company.  Be very afraid!

These guys are great.  We never see bugs in our house.  When we noticed a rat running the block fence in the back we gave them a call.  They came out and put traps out.  We never saw the rat again.  Thanks for great work.

A cautionary tale of what happens when a big corporation ( now owned by RentOKill out of Pennsylvania) buys what was a really great local company. You're a number and the service or lack thereof reinforces that. Walk don't run away. Service no shows, phantom charges and price increases, so many headaches. Consider yourself warned

I always get the best service from Western Exterminator.  I've been with them almost ten years, when they were Arizona Exterminating, Chuck has been my Technician since then.  He is not only friendly, but very professional and hard working, he goes out of his way to make sure I get the best service ever.  I've been offered other services, for less money, but I can't go with anyone else.  If I ever see a bug, they come back and take care of business!!  Thanks Chuck!!

We have been with Western Exterminator for many years with Aaron as our service technician.  I have always been very pleased with the responsive, professional, and thoughtful service they have provided for our facility.  We have several buildings and large grounds that Aaron maintains for us so he has handled everything from gophers to fire ants, spiders, and bees.  One of the more valuable services Aaron provides for us is he always makes himself available if I need him to come right away.  I have no hesitation recommending them.

BEST SERVICE EVER!!! Remsey our tech, has been servicing our account for 8 years. He comes in every single time with the biggest smile as if it is his first day on the job! It is always so pleasant to see him! He pays so much attention to detail still after eight years. He always follows up asking about activity and if we have any concerns about the service. It is near impossible to find employees this day in age that are extraordinary as Remsey is. Y'all are very lucky to have an employee that cares so much about the company and is on top of every detail! We have used this company for 10 years and have be buying their annual termite plan.  We discovered termites and called to have them come to the house.  They told us they couldn't come out until May .  They have our money and the termites are eating my house .  Looks like the ten year relationship is coming to an end.  They also do two other family members homes which will be switching to a new service.  Poor service is a hallmark of the organization lately.  The customer doesn't matter.

My father has had a yearly termite inspection policy for years with this company  that he continues to pay.  However, CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS DECLINED TO A POINT OF NO RETURN. Staff is friendly but seemingly cannot do anything except apologize that phone calls are not returned AND TAKE YET ANOTHER MESSAGE (that will never be returned).  IF YOU WANT A COMPANY THAT WILL RESPOND THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY FOR YOU.

AZ Exterminating recently went thru a merger with Oliver Exterminating.  Since the merger Az Exterminating operations have, evidently, been in chaos.  Service before the merger thru my tech, Jerry, was great.  Since then the have not visited my home timely despite my needs.  Now they have taken to billing my credit card for visits not made to my home &/or services not provided.

People be crazy on here. Really, lady, you smelled DDT? Um, that would be illegal, you moron. No one uses DDT. It's like the time I was on a yogurt break with a co-worker (if smokers get an extra break, why can't I), and a lady got really pissed off as we were licking our cones on a picnic bench outside a TCBY. Some guy was spraying for bugs outside the complex nowhere near us and she freaked out about how now there were chemicals in her yogurt. After she left in a huff and I kept eating, my co-worker leaned in with her eyes all wide in horror, Do you really think the bug spray got in our food?! Um, no, bitch.

Now that we have that settled. I love the guy who sprays my house. I am a huge pussy and hate bugs. I bought my first home and my poor exterminator was gracious enough to take my call on a Sunday when I freaked out over two dead roaches.

My mom also started using them after I refused to house-sit for her due to a flying sewer roach incident. Woke up one night to a huge roach making love to my toothbrush ... and I will never be the same again. She lives at the base of a mountain and those things are notorious around her neighborhood. She hasn't seen one since she started spraying. They even came out just to remove the offending roach who decided to hang out all day in the same spot.

Basically, I just like that my exterminator will always respond to me, even if it's stupid and I'm being a huge baby. I do have a boyfriend for the occasional bug removal (among other things), but he travels a lot, so I need me a back-up. He also always sends me a text to schedule the next spray on time. I don't have to think about it.

We have been receiving service for six months - long enough to determine results and WELL DONE AZ Extermination team!!  Our tech, Aaron is top notch, every visit is a learning opportunity he is great about sharing why and what.  Service - OUTSTANDING!!  We call Aaron directly, have called non-traditional work hours with an answer or quick call back.  Having just moved into our home, we had a significant ant infestation in our backyard - Aaron worked with us and had the issue under control quickly.

I have been very happy with the service I have received.  The person who does the work is excellent and if there are additional needs, he is right there.  Thank you.  The problem I have is the price of service.  I receive outdoor only service every other month.  The charge for that one outdoor service every two months has now increased to $84.50.  I find myself now looking to do this myself or find another vendor.

My house has termites (so gross) and I called AZ Exterminating to get a quote on how much cash it would cost to fix it. My initial experience, as described in my previous review, was not so great.  However, they did make an effort to rectify the situation.  After requesting to the speak to the manager, I scheduled a third appointment with the branch manager. He said he was personally going to accompany a different exterminator to my house.  

Although he ended up not being present, the new exterminator did arrive, yet arrived nearly an hour early!! Again, no phone call to make sure we were okay with this (the difference between 4pm and 3pm on a work day is a big deal, but luckily my husband had just arrived home from a business trip so he was at home).  Any other day, she would have arrived home to an empty house and we would have missed yet another appointment.  

Anyway, we ended up going with someone else because the price was too high.

I have had this company servicing my home for the last three years.  This morning the tech came out to spray our property but instead just left the bill in the door.  Since I am normally not home this isn't something that I have witnessed before.  Technician got out of his truck, walked the front yard, stuck the bill in the door and left.  This company's technicians, specifically James Kelton is a thief.  The company charges me $85 every other month for maintenance, but obviously they don't actually perform the service.  Although Kim called and offered to have another technician come out and truly wanted to resolve the situation, I can not do business with a company who steals even once from it's customer.  Thank you Kim for trying to represent your company in a favorable light but be clear James is the one who put us in this position by not doing his job.

Awful company to work with! Do not waste your money here! Larry came out and sprayed my home with the 30 day guarantee. Since then, he's been out in those 30 days. I spent $150 and feel robbed. I've had crickets back and roaches in those 30 days. The inspector Mike came out and all he suggested was I sign up for regular monthly service. Why would I ever sign up for monthly service if the 30 day guarantee did not work? This company does not care about its customers and it just wants to get inside ur pockets. I will be telling the BBB about this and will never recommend them! Awful!

They are very excellent to work with.  Chuck our service person always is friendly and very quick to respond.   He definitely goes above and beyond in providing us service.  We recently discovered a new colony of bees in our eaves and he was out the very next day and remediated the bees.  He thoroughly explained what to expect to see after spraying for them.  I highly recommend Western and Chuck.

I'm updating my review.....

Man do I miss Ken.

After being a customer for about 3 years I am leaving.  Consistent technician turnover.  I was billed for December service and swear the tech never showed.  I usually get a copy of the form, and didn't this time.

I saved $30/bi-monthly and switched over to Younger Brothers.  They have the termite contract on the house, and we've always been very impressed with the level of service they provide in their other companies (warranty plumbing work on our new build).

When I first got service I was told it would be $75 every 3 months, well that was not true I was billed every other month, I only had service for 6 months and they were never able to get rid of ants in kitchen. Funny thing is they got worse after they sprayed. The last month the tech came without a call and was only able to spray front yard due to dogs in back and no one home and I still got charged $75... They sent me to collections for a charge they gave me for not doing any work.. Horrible Service and Horrible results..

Sorry no u did not discount, U tried to cancel after 1st time out and tech said he would come spray again.. Still had ants. .. The 3rd visit the tech used 6 gallons for treatment and the bill I am fighting the tech used 1.. Why would anyone want to pay when clearly you did not spray the whole house... Nothing but a rip off.. Then when trying to cancel you get sent to someone who knows nothing and says they will call u back..

Very shady company. They lost my payment 3 times in a row, but didn't tell me until months later. The tech that came to my house was horribly rude when scheduling (like it's my fault he doesn't come to maricopa often). And of course the time he was rude and I complained about it - he lost my payment again. He was NEVER regular with service. Avoid this company at all costs

The on-site service was OK. When they needed to come back they did.

The real problem is their billing system. We had agreed to take care of the fees via a trade group and had been doing so for several months. Then, out of the blue, they changed their mind and decided that they did not want to participate in the trade group. Instead of asking or telling us they kept providing services and then tried to back bill us. When we found out we immediately discontinued future services and offered to take care of the balance through the trade group.

We have made numerous attempt to speak with someone in charge but they refuse to come to the telephone, answer our emails or certified letters.

There are so many other companies out there that I would certainly never use someone that had questionable billing practices. Find someone that acts in a fair manner.

They came out and sprayed....charged me $80.  A week later no change in pest problem.  I called for retreat multiple times and now that it was on their nickel, they are too busy....

Ended up having to get another company to solve the problem and never looked back.

Many other options to choose from in the Valley.

I heard a scratching sound in the attic Friday night.  Darn!  I am a victim of roof rats.  I live in an area where there are lots of citrus trees and the neighbors had oleander brushes cut down that day.  I have used Az Exterminators for at least 20 years for termite protection.  A real person answered the  phone Saturday morning and put in touch with the rodent man, Steve.  We made an appointment for Monday on my lunch hour.  He was here at the house waiting for me ahead of schedule.  The cost for three months trapping and bait stations was very fair, I feared big dollar signs, but that was not the case.  The technician comes tomorrow and will hopefully take care of these critters.  This is an honest and upright company and I highly recommend them for all sorts of pest control!

We've used Western Exterminating for years and have had excellent service.  We don't worry about bugs and if we notice any they are right out to cover the outside or inside.  We noted Bob M's review of 11-30-18  from San Francisco who complained about price ($42.25/mo) but feel our price is more than fair for services rendered including the guarantee with the service and the reliability.

I finally made the decision to cancel service with this company after being a loyal customer for the past 6+ years.  I've always been on the prepaid annual service and until the past couple of years, never had an issue.  Then, the technicians changed frequently and the service deteriorated.  I attempted to  cancel my service last year; however, I was convinced to give the company another shot because they had employee issues and were working out kinks.  However, while the technicians have become more consistent, service has deteriorated.  

This year on at least three services I received invoices for additional payment that was due, despite that I am on a prepaid annual service plan of $600 (paid in full every July/Aug).  I was forced to speak with customer service and managers to resolve these billing issues that were caused by the Company's mistakes.

My last service was on May 7.  The technician left a description of services that indicated a prepaid amount of $65 and amount due of $25.  Clearly this was a mistake since the service was prepaid for the year and nothing should be due.  I hoped that the Company would fix their error without requiring additional time from me.  Sadly, this did not happen.  Rather, this afternoon I received an invoice in the mail for the May 7 service with an outstanding balance of $100.  Upon calling the office I was told that I have a balance of $100 from 2011 because the technicians came seven times instead of the six times that year.  This is utter nonsense: I never had an extra service.  Moreover, I never received an invoice for an extra service.  My bill has always been zeroed out at the end of the year and I have always entered a new one year agreement.  Today for the first time I was told about this extra service and learned that the $100 rolled over to this year, which is why I owe $100.  I disputed this phantom service and the bill, but the company representative refused to correct the error.

I have neighbors who are extremely pleased with their exterminators, so there is no reason for me to remain with this company that I have been displeased with for years, especially given their poor service, record keeping and customer service.  I am confident that I will find another company willing to perform bimonthly service at my home for the same $600 that I previously paid to AZ Exterminating.  I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you wish to be treated respectfully and valued as a customer.

We started using Arizona Exterminator approx 7-8 years ago when our home went through a major remodel.  We found that we had both types of termites and the company we were using didn't treat for them.  Arizona Exterminator, now Western Exterminator, has always arrived on time or within a window.  We are treated every other month for bugs and have had great results.  In the summer the ants get a little more pesky so Seth uses a bait that seems to work.  I've not seen any more signs of termites but we keep up with the inspections, etc.  The inspections are free since we're a regular customer.  Seriously, I couldn't be happier.

I'll chime in.  We had AZ Exterminating do a full-out caulk of our house because we have scorpions.  My husband wonders if we were seeing more scorpions after that because they were trapped in the house when we caulked.  Needless to say we switched to Assured Pest Control when we found a record 4 scorpions alive and kicking in one night in our front foyer and living room.

Since switching to Assured [(623) 877-0726], we still see scorpions outside...dead or dying.  Haven't had any in the house in some time.

I had a contract with this company for their All Pest Solution. I continuously had Drywood Termites that they couldn't seem to treat properly. Not only does their warrentee not cover damage done by the termites such as other companies like Terminex, but they wouldn't even cover the price of the tenting to get rid of the termites. After I paid them over $1000 for tenting, they voided my warrantee giving no reason. Now I'm out that money and have to pay another company over $1000 to get a new warrantee.

Stay away!!! These folks don't play by the book.

We had bees in our front porch column.  We had another local company treat the column, which did not resolve the issue and wanted to charge us a second fee to come out again.  Out of the companies we contacted, they responded quickly and had a reasonable rate. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous and resolved our issue.  Definitely recommend. No more bees!

The pest co. I usually use referred me to AZ exterminating because they didn't think they could address my issue! When I called I was told that tenting was costly and was given options! When the technician who handles that found out no one had confirmed I was actually dealing with moths he came by the next morning ( Sat ) and for NO CHARGE confirmed it was moths and told me how to address the situation! LOVE IT

We paid them $500 to heat treat a bed bug problem in our home. Their technicians were filthy and tracked muddy boot prints throughout our house. They broke a picture frame and left it lying on the floor, punched holes in our window screen and left it lying on the floor as well. They started the heat treatment without blocking the door and then went out to their van to sleep. They guaranteed their service for 30 days. Within two days the bugs were back. I called and emailed but they refused to honor their warrantee and refused to pay for the damage they caused in our home. When I finally did get a response from them, Mr. Sebring told me there was nothing to discuss. As far as I'm concerned they stole $500 from us and damaged our property. Rude, unprofessional, ineffective and dirty - don't let these people anywhere near your house!  I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!

I have a contract with these guys- have had problem with an area of my house still showing termite activity- was about to forgo my contact and get someone else- but I will add that this latest tech whose name is Mark Johnson has just changed my mind about this company- if these termites are still here after this they are super bugs!!! Remember - u get what u pay for-- and these guys will do everything to make it right-that's all u can ask- with termites it's a continual fight-kudos!

I am writing this review because this company deserves the recognition! I ordered their pre and post emergent weed service a few weeks ago and after about a week, I noticed the weeds were not dying like they should. I called the company about it and they sent someone out immediately to re-treat (they guarantee their service) and within a couple of days, my yard was 100% weed free! This is what good service is all about, standing behind your warranty and your word. They were not hesitant at all to rectify the problem and I appreciate the fact that they made sure I was satisfied with their service. So many companies give lip service about your satisfaction being guaranteed but not many actually stand behind their word.....Arizona Exterminating does! The price for their service was competitive and their customer service is impeccable.

They've been spraying at our house for over a year and we have been very happy. We had a horrible black widow problem, as in, we would kill a dozen a night on the back patio, within a week of them starting our service, they were gone entirely. And they haven't been back which is more important. We do sometimes get an earwig in the house but that's because I don't have the indoor service because I have a parrot. They always call me the day before to check and be sure it's okay to spray and remind me to leave the dogs in and they always leave my invoice on my door. I have not had any problems with them at all and I carefully read all warranties and fine print and think they are a good company. I also got quotes from other companies before going with AZ Exterminating.

I also love that even though the yard gets sprayed, I have not seen any dead lizards which is a good thing! We still have them on our walls and geckos in the garage which is fine by me. We don't have as many, which is also fine by me because it means there is less for them to eat which = fewer bugs! The only thing I am sort of sad about is that our lovely, roaming female wolf spider who would valiantly take down some of our black widows is gone and she hasn't been back with any offspring. My guess is she was an unfortunate unintended victim. :(

I am not their customer, just their victim.

My neighbor had fumigation done at  E. La Donna Street in Tempe.
I have one attic opening and one cooler opening about 7 feet away from the fumigation tent. Before they schedule to remove fumigation tent, I was worried and talked to the worker there, one of them told me, All chemicals only goes up,
Huge mistake to trust any chemical company, should have covered the attic and cooler opening.

That night, when we returned home, 11 pm.
my house was foggy with something and with a very strong DDT smell.
At that moment,  we went into a panic mode, just trying to grab couple of things and leave the house asap.
We found out later it was a mistake not calling any officials to document what happened and witness the DDT smell.

2nd day of fumigation, not knowing if it's safe to go back in the house.
I called Tempe Fire, they  came and  check any trapped gas.
My family then went back home after the clearance from TFD.
I  also turned on all fans for couple hours until the horrible smell seems cleared.

Then I called the company to bring chemical detection equipment  just to make sure no other odorless chemical still trap in my house.
3 pm , 30 hours after the tent removed.
One person from the company did come with just his nose,
No smell; no way any chemical can get into your house. he said.

That denial contact was the first communication with the company.
Then, they don't return any phone call or emails. No apologize; no pretend to listen.
Last communication from the company was a respond letter through BBB,
they threatened me to stop all communication with them
or they'll take action against me.

After reading their letter, I remember thinking, what a way to do business, unnecessarily harsh; unkind and no compassion to other's suffering.

This is a company not very friendly in listening to your complaint.
Good luck to you if the service gone wrong and you need to communicate with them.

Wow what a terrible company. The phone technicians were great. They really got me thinking that someone would actually show up to my scheduled appointment.  I was excited they could get to my within 24 hours. The inspector was scheduled to be at my house from 3p-5p. He never showed, no call, no email, no voicemail. I called the company and it only goes to voicemail. One time I called and was actually bounced around to two different call centers that could not help me saying the company was closed. Will not waste my time with these guys.

Their technician, Jeff, is a nice guy.  However, the ant treatment he provided didn't work.  I still had lots of tiny ants crawling around the interior of my kitchen.

Furthermore he called to solicit more business while my phone number was listed on the national do-not-call list.  There are any number of other ways to solicit business.  Jeff insisted I buy a longer contract for a product I already told him did not work.  

I received an auto-generated follow-up e-mail from Brandon Ross, Quality Assurance Manager, so I responded.  Apparantly, Brandon doesn't respond to e-mails he originally sent because I received an e-mail, instead, from Christine Himel insulting that I responded to the wrong e-mail and penalized me that I would lose-out on special offers, then told me the technician would call me again..  You know, the one who already contacted me without my permission, for the product that doesn't work, that they want me to buy more.

This is not isolated to a single person.  These are problems of people responding to an internal bureaucracy (calling back without solicitation, telling the customer they're communicating wrong, handing-off to people who don't know what's going on, apologizing after getting caught in the crime, repeating mistakes) rather than serving their customers.

We have had Arizona Exterminators for over a year now and they are WONDERFUL!! We had a different pest control company before them and we were still seeing scorpions.
Our grandson got stung 4 times by a scorpion about a year and a half ago and our guy Jerry came to our house within hours of us calling him and did not leave until he had found the scorpion and killed it.
We have had to call our guy out 3 times in the last two years.
Arizona Exterminating always has Jerry on the phone with us within hours of us calling and Jerry is here the same day we call with an issue.
I highly recommend this company. We also have a dog, cat and Grandchildren in our house all of the time and when they come out to spray they ALWAYS listen to us and spray accordingly. Then they  tell us how long before we let the children and animals back out in the yard.

I had AZ Exterminating for a long time (~4 years) and all was great (welll not great, I didn't have bugs but there were other issues....). When they decided to switch to a new better pesticide that only meant they had to come every other month, that was when this company hit the skids. Also, the new spray service was more expensive, not twice as much but still. The price went up drastically for a per visit fee.
The better stuff DID NOT WORK. I had to call them to come back and respray every month, which they did. I got tired of calling every month and said, just put me back on the old monthly service. THEY REFUSED. Said they didn't offer monthly service. So I was like fine, I will call them every month to come for a free respray.
One day I realized I hadn't seen a bill for a while, I checked my records and found they hadn't been here in four months! (It was over the winter so bugs were at a minimum). I let them know this wasn't acceptable and if it happened again, they no longer needed to come here. Lo and behold, it happened again. So I hired a new company. Guess what, AZ Exterminating showed up a month later while I was in Europe, sprayed, and billed me. I refused to pay. They reported it to collections and now its on my credit.

Meh, I still have a super prime credit rating and AZ Exterm is still a poorly run company. STEER CLEAR OF THEM!!!

After dealing with an ant and cotton beetle problem in our house and not getting any help from our HOA, we decided to contact Arizona Exterminating. We had dealt with them before in our old house in Scottsdale, and they were always professional, courteous, and helpful. I was able to get a next day appointment. The technician, Greg, was cordial and informative. He sprayed in and outside the house and around the exterior, and used bait to kill the nest that he said may be inside our wall. Since he has left, we have noticed an uptick in ants in the house, but he said to expect that as they flee the nest. We signed up for the bi monthly service and could not be happier with his help. Great job!

And living in phx we all know we have to have a good exterminator on speed dial !

First year of service was great. We had a reliable tech who was always punctual and friendly. He was able to service the house on the same day of the week each time, always called two days or more in advance and was easy to get a hold of. He retired and was replaced by an ok tech. I felt he wasn't as thorough as the previous guy but we were still pest free. Then the tech changed again. New guy called the night before he wanted to come to the house, never on the same day of the week. Gave large windows of time of when he'd arrive, leaving me to wait around for hours. Started seeing bugs inside, including scorpions. Tech changed again and during the last service call, the new guy left my home without telling me he was finished so my garage was wide open, front door and back gate unlocked. I'm on yelp today to find a new exterminating company. These guys need to get their act together.

As soon as I switched to Az Exterminating all the pest problems that I was trying to deal with myself were solved.  They always call a day or 2 before my scheduled date, they seem to lay down appropriate amount of chemicals for the time of year/pest activity and my technician is always professional and polite.   I got 3 quotes before choosing a pest control company, they were right in the middle price wise.

My experience with this company has been spotty at best. Although we now have an awesome tech, Craig, who has been able to slow down our scorpion problem, my complaint is with the termite dept. We paid to have the whole house treated a couple of years ago, so we are still under warranty. But we have had to have the house spot treated more times than I can count.
Jason, the inspector assigned to us, was nice to begin with, but now his solution to the problem is to up sell us on a whole new treatment. He said to spot treat is basically just putting a band aid on the problem. To me, that is telling us they can't fix the issue. To emphasize how bad it has gotten, we recently found evidence of previous infestation in our wood floor. There is a nice gash by a stem wall. Jason said nothing there now, but the damage has been done.
I  him if I have to pay to have the whole house treated again, I might as well find a company that can actually get rid of the termites. At this point he got very lackadaisical about the whole thing, and acted like he was just glad to not have to deal with a problem his company seemingly cannot fix. Tomorrow, I will be searching for a new pest control company.

horrible service,  needed 2 visits at ttl $275.  Roaches still in house after 2nd visit.  They returned, Bill said he sprayed more areas then before, why wasn't then done in the first 2 visits?  He said the problem was that I didn't sign up for monthy service, why would I since the problem never changed after 3 visits, he answer then was it was because I lived in a townhouse, why couldn't they have told me this in the begining and I wouldn't have had their service?

After doing research on the internet I went with roach traps and boric acid, with-in 2 weeks they only roaches I see are dead ones.

Ask for a guarantee before using their service.  More than likely they won't give you one.  All they to is take your money anf make excuses

We've had AZ Exterminating as our exterminators for many years. I will say we have not always been very pleased. There were years when we still had roaches in the house, mice in the garage... We were told by the exterminator that we needed to put food away, close drains, etc. Still had problems until a few years ago. There seemed to be a change in the company. We got a new exterminator assigned to us and we haven't seen roaches inside for a long time. Recently I heard noises in the ceiling (flat roof, no attic), so they sent out an inspector and we talked about options. Turns out it was birds and probably roof rats. We decided to seal the house completely, set rat bait and also do a termite treatment. The teams that came out to do the work were really knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were doing. They sent out a supervisor at the end to make sure everything was done. I was impressed. So now, 2 weeks later, I don't hear noises in the ceiling anymore. But, ew, I have found 2 very large, very dead rats in the yard, and I think I smell that something has died in the ceiling. They did try to scare out anything up there, but... So I'm a happy customer. My suggestion to the company is this - your exterminators should be more observant and proactive to help me keep the critters at bay. If you notice my house is vulnerable, let me know. You deal with this everyday. Thank you!

This review is mainly for AZ Exterminating's customer service team and billing department.    

I was using AZ Exterminating for service at one of my rental properties, which went smoothly - until it was time to pay.  I provided my credit card information on multiple occasions to their billing department and requested that they keep the card on file and automatically bill my card after service had been completed as I do not always see the invoices right away (if at all) - they are left with my tenant.   Unfortunately, after one of the crazy Home Depot/Target credit card breaches, my bank had to issue me a new card number.  This is where the problems began and never ended.  I called AZ Exterminating to provide my new number and the representative wrote it down, I received a message not 4 hours later that she had accidentally shredded the number and could I call back and provide it again?  So I did.  I also reminded her to keep that new number on file and bill automatically. Skip to the next service - now AZ Exterminating is calling me to tell me I am past due.  Of course, they didn't have my credit card on file.  This happened after each subsequent service.  On my final call to them, I told them to cancel service and I would find a company that was easier to pay.  

Apparently, they went to my tenant's property one additional time (on the day of the call) and I was not made aware of it.  Instead of charging my card, they began sending letters (so they say) to my tenant's address - even though I had provided my telephone number,  billing and mailing address when I set up the landlord account.  They then sent my account to collections and what do you know, they finally sent the letter to the correct address this time!

After calling them to attempt to straighten out the issue and pay the outstanding balance and receiving some of the rudest customer service I have ever experienced, I asked to speak with a manager.  The representative placed me on hold and transferred me to their collection company!  I called back and requested a manager and was told no one was available.  I then asked to have one call me back, which never happened.  I finally gave up, because a bad corporate attitude like this comes from the top down - so what is to gain?  I called the collection company and paid the bill (the representative I spoke with was not surprised by my experience, by the way).

Honestly, if this company billed and charged cards properly they would probably see a nice little bump in their revenue!  With this type of practice, they are handing money over to a collection company for no reason.  I would have paid the bill immediately if they had contacted me properly, or better yet, charged the card I had on file.

We contacted them to take care of our bee problem with bees coming in our bedroom thru the ac vent. They came 3 times to poison the opening but the bees came back more aggressively each time because they can't see/reach the hive. At the beginning we were told they would come as many times necessary but after 3 times tech said it was our problem since we didn't seal the opening. It was never safe for us to seal the opening with the bees coming back so quickly and aggressively and if it was our responsibility to seal it, you think they would've emphasized that from the beginning instead of wasting their time and ours by coming back 2 more times.  Now we have more bees than ever and lost $250 to an exterminating company who just made the situation worse. The tech was unprofessional on the phone saying he doesn't mean to be a jerk or an ass but he can't keep coming back. I understand their perspective but I think they setup the wrong expectation from the beginning, they should've told us the bees will keep returning if they cant get the hive so we could've contracted someone who could get the hive and they shouldn't have made it seem like they would keep coming back until the job is done because they don't. I don't care if they have to demo a wall or do what it takes, we can repair that, I just need them to do what we paid them to, get the bees gone for good.

Signed up for full house termite treatment. Completed within a week. Great. A little messy on clean-up after work done. Gary sales man said I would get charged 1/2 bill before (Paid) and two equal payments, 30 days each , after with 6 week reinspect of house by himself. I received a FINAL NOTICE OF PAYMENT 45 days later for balance due, followed by a regular payment due in full a week after FINAL NOTICE. Sent in 1 payment with concerns of service and disappointment in billing. Looks like they cashed the check, but no phone call, no reinspect. Typical No Customer Service move. Would not recommend to anyone, but will tell everyone of poor experience.

I cancelled service with the office, yet they still billed me.  I called the office twice, yet they never removed the bill or returned the call; rather they turned in the past due bill to a credit reporting agency.  Terrible service!

After several years of great service, they lost a super bug dude. Alvin left and the service was spotty at best. Had several other folks show up over the following months and always forgot keys for bug/traps or chemicals. Spoke to front desk and no one would contact me about issues we had so after 6+ years I pulled the plug and no one seemed to care. No follow-up.

What a joke.  I was a customer for years and left because of a bad employee experience and they send the same employee to quote for termites and then tell me my business is better served by another company.  Don't waste your time with AZ exterminators.  Burns Pest control came and took care of it and was nice and responsive.  AZ Exterminating is bad business.

We called these guys after they left a business card at our new home. They were prompt and friendly setting up and during their visit, but we had ants a few days later. We called to see if they would come again under warranty (considering the tech that came out told us we had like a 30-day one), but they claimed on the phone that we had none. My fiance called several times to resolve that issue and additionally to get a quote for dealing with some scorpion sightings, but they never returned his calls. Our experience was not the most professional, we'll have to look elsewhere.

Do not use this company.  Billing practice is horrible and a little shady. My CC on file for auto service payment expired.  I called to give another and they had sent my account into a collection agency even though it was not even 90 days late.  Here's the bigger problem, they called earlier and left a message that they were going to continue service even though my card needed to be changed.  Nice guys right, not so much.  So they service my acct.  Create a bill and then send me to collections.  This was all in the last month.  I had been with them for almost two years with out even a late payment...... So much for using a local business.  I just had to deal with a collection agency over my bug bill!!!!!  For 200 dollars!!!!! What a joke.........

I had used this company when I lived back in Tucson for a one-time pest issue, and although they were expensive they took care of the issue. Now I live in Scottsdale, and needed help with another pest issue here. I called this office and the representative, Kelly, proceeded to explain that they never do one-time services. I asked if they are the same company as the one in Tucson (which they are according to their website) and she just said this is Phoenix.  Rude, rude, rude and obviously not interested in new customers.

I was a customer of Az Exterminating for a few years.  I had an issue with a bill-the tech didn't finish the job he was supposed to do.  We called to let them know.  Long story short, we went round and round with them about the billing of an unfinished job.  They basically called us liars about the service, even though they admitted they had record of our calls regarding the unfinished job.    They would say they took care of it, then we would get another bill.  We finally paid for the part of the service we got and cancelled the service.  I am still afraid that they will continue to bill us even though I have threatened my lawyer if they don't leave us alone.  I would never use them again.  The customer service is reprehensible!

I am giving this company one star, because they do not do what they say. My husband and I signed up for their bi-monthly service four years ago. This service covered all the general bugs like spiders, silverfish, ants, etc. as well as termites. They inspected our house for them when we signed up and they documented that we had none. They then installed indicators in our yard stating it would let us know if termites decided to dine on our home. Over the years we never heard of any issues and therefore assumed they were checking the indicators and we were safe. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when we put our house on the market and our buyer sent a termite inspector. We felt confident that there would be no surprises because we were still clients of this company; however, we received a huge surprise. The inspector found termites! WTH?! I call our bug guy and he says oh yea those indicators don't work; here is the number for our termite people. Our plan covers spot treatments; however how would we have known that they needed to treat certain spots if no one is checking?! We asked them to come out and look at the inspection because our new buyer wants the entire house treated. They offered to give us a deal because we were current clients, so instead of $500 it would be $400. (How generous!) As far as I'm concerned this should be free because they have not been doing the job we have been paying them to do for the past four years. We have cancelled our service and I warn anyone considering them you may want to keep looking.

Mark does a great job treating our home. We had our place sealed and have their all pest solution treatment once a month. Mark always calls the day before he arrives and asks if we've had any issues. He takes care of everything promptly and efficiently.

These guys are rip off artists.  They called a day before they were going to come spray and I called them back same day and told them not to.  Well the next day I came home and saw that they came and sprayed and left me a bill.  Well I told them I wasn't going to pay it becuase i told them not to come.  They said oh ok I see you called no worries we will take care of bill.  Well I got 3 more bills in the mail threatening to send bill to collections if I didn't pay.  Each time I spoke with the manager and he said no worries you won't get another bill.  Finally after the fourth bill I had to threaten to sue them in order for them to stop sending me a bill.  Will I ever do business with them again? No way!
