I had a pipe leak from my upstairs bathroom that went into my wall.Days dealing with home Warrenty and insurance I was getting the run around and scammed. The neighborhood plumber came out and gave an estimate and diagnosis quick!

We needed 2 sets of shut off valves repaired. Sam offered very competitive pricing compared to other plumbing companies. He was communicative, friendly, and professional. He showed up early, came prepared with booties and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely recommend again in the future. I know who our go to plumbing guy is now!

At the crack of dawn, when I was up to get ready for a trip, I discovered there was no water flow at all in the house. After checking for leaks, checking the valve etc, I reached out to Sam at the Neighborhood Plumber via Yelp and before he formally opened, he called me back (at 6:45am!) and had a technician here to check within a half hour. One hour later, we had the Pressure Reducing Valve replaced and I was back in business! Sam then made himself available to address a few other smaller plumbing needs I had. Professional, fast, efficient and kind! I feel grateful to have found Sam.

Let's start with this if you are looking at this company  and on the fence go ahead and feel at ease hiring them for any work. I have used Sam multiple times for my plumbing needs. First was a fix of a nightmare washer and dryer problem and second was an install of a broken hot water heater. Sam is super fast at responding, extremely professional, fast, wonderful work, and by far the best estimates out of anyone.  Sam is a straight shooter and isn't going to BS you when it comes to what you need. He is definitely my plumber and AC person for many years to come.

Contacted a few companies through Yelp to get some quotes to have a faucet replaced that I started working on but one of the handles was so rusted I could not get that darn thing off. I saw some of the other estimates and saw Sam's company had 5 stars so called him. Glad I did, his prices were much better than the other replies I got.

When I reached out to Sam he asked when I would like him to come over. It was Saturday afternoon and I was not expecting his reply. Sunday or Tuesday. Sunday, really! You bet, get er' done!

As it turned out I was going to have Sam just do all 3 faucets I was trying to replace because some of the tight quarters under the sink made it near impossible for me to get things completed properly, and for the price it was a no-brainer.

Sam is a very friendly hard working guy. I would recommend him any day! And if/when I need any plumbing worked on he is my first call.

Fastest to respond when giving a quote. However, be patient and wait for others. Biggest mistake of my home ownership was going with this company!

Quote was high but on a weekend with a PEX line that blows, I just needed it fixed.

Spoke to Sam, the owner, on the phone. He said he would be out and install a copper line to fix my issue.

Cool. Spendy but what I needed and wanted done.

Come to find out, he installed a steel braided line instead. Line burst (not sure why) within an hour.

Had him called back out, didn't even really diagnose the issue nor give a reasonable answer as to what happened or why it is happening or even offer to replace the water heater, but he DID finally do what we had originally agreed to have done.

Then he has the audacity to tell me, I only do what is on the paper, show me the paperwork that says what you claim.... LOL. Don't let them get away with only wanting to text or Yelp message you!

He then blames everything on a defective water heater (which I spoke to the manufacturer and they said something entirely different and will be inspecting) that his work failed.

I also asked for a discount for the inconvenience. Yeah right. Wouldn't even budge even though he made a mistake.

Funny thing is. I have four witnesses to the events that transpired. Please show me an invoice that shows the work, including the comeback (which you have refused as of the time of this review).

Bottom line, scrappy work and dishonest owner. At least with me. Lied 100% about the job he was going to do. And then tried to hide the fact he had to come back to repair a second time. No Bueno!

Sam was fantastic! I contacted him yesterday around 12:30pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2021; he arrived promptly within 1-2 hours and reviewed the work that needed to be done. He provided an OUTSTANDING estimate, but I told him I'd contact him before 5:00pm; he needed to coordinate with the crane company, if I wanted the work completed on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Side Note: Sam was the ONLY contractor that able to visit my home the same day, and provide an estimate and approximate installation/completion time for the project.

Our home is OLD! Well, I'm sure it's exaggerating to some, but it was built in 1983. We moved into our home in November, 2020. At the time, I didn't know anything about the state of the air conditioner. All I knew was that it passed the home inspection (i.e. IMHO, a pretty weak home inspection).

Another Side Note: NEVER USE AMAZON HOME WARRANTY! THE SERVICE SUCKS!

I realized when our AC stopped working, something serious was wrong because the 'Amazon Home Warranty' wouldn't cover the repair or replacement. I started researching and contacting various contractors. The HVAC contractors that came out to see our home identified our AC unit was installed in 2005. Also, the SEER level on the old unit was around 10-12, which is low compared to current standards, and only 2 tons, which is weaker than today's units.

So, after 6 estimates for installing a new AC unit,  the price ranged from $5700 - $7300. I cancelled the 7th estimate visit because Sam from NP&A started to 'grow' on me (lol). Generally, these estimates included the removal, crane, installation of new unit, warranties, etc. Well known brands: Trane/American Standard, Carrier/Day&Night, and York. I quickly decided against the York installation; I knew the other brands had better reputations and the price was a little high for what I thought was an inferior unit (i.e. I'm no AC expert, just lots of online searches). I kept the various contractors anonymous, because it's not fair to disrespect other business processes, practices, and services.

Here are the quotes:
American Standard (over/under unit - Contractor A):    $5700
American Standard (side by side unit - Contractor A):   $6500
Carrier 3 ton 14 Seer (Contractor B):    $5900
York 3 ton 14 Seer (Contractor C):      $6500
Trane 3.5 ton 14 Seer (Contractor C):    $7100
Trane 3.5 ton 14 Seer (Neighborhood Plumbing & Air):    $5700

I chose NP&A based on the speed of service; Sam appeared reliable and felt like the right contractor for me. As you can see from my list, there were 2 quotes for $5700. The biggest reason I chose Sam from NP&A was how professional and expedient he presented himself. He was just as knowledgable as the guys with the higher end quotes, but very down to earth, friendly, and confident in his ability. The other $5700 contractor seemed flaky and kind of had a 'meh' attitude. It's like he didn't care one way or the other if he got our business.

After background checking and researching his ROC licenses, I called Sam Wednesday around 4:00pm and asked him to proceed with the installation on Thursday, July 1, 2021. He told me the crane would be at my residence at 3:30pm - approximate start time.

From the 1st phone call to project completion, Sam had our AC humming in a little over 24 hours! AMAZING!

The crane showed up early! I was fine with that; the faster I can get the air going, then 'bye-bye' portable swamp coolers! I believe Sam started work around 2:00pm or earlier! Now that's great initiative and prompt service. By 4:00-5:00pm, Sam was done with the installation, cleaned his job site, and was ready to complete our business! Wow! When he turned on the AC, I started feeling the cool air in less than 5 minutes! It's amazing how much difference a 3.5 ton 14 SEER unit compares to the old unit we had. ESPECIALLY A TRANE AC UNIT, WOOHOO!

He switched out a circuit breaker because the AC unit was tripping it. That's 100% my fault. Since we've moved in, I've switched out 2 breakers already. The breakers in my panel are OLD AS HELL! Yeah, so no big deal. I picked up 3 breakers from Home Depot; 1 50amp to switch out and 2 other spare breakers when I need to replace them. I ordered a Google Nest thermostat; it's super easy to install, just watch some videos online and your middle-schooler should be able to do it. I purchased my Google Nest from SRP for $124 because they have a program to help you manage your electrical use and save money.

So, in the end, Sam from NP&A is the MAN TO BEAT! He is a licensed professional HVAC/Plumbing contractor and a great pleasure to work with. He's honest, reliable, and exceeded all my expectations. You know what the best part was?

He gave me a $200 discount for being a 'valued customer' and I ended up paying $5500 for the installation of my brand new 3.5 ton 14 SEER Trane AC unit! Ok, do your due diligence, but in my case, Sam and Neighborhood Plumbing & Air are my go-to HVAC/Plumbing guys.

Needed a new washing machine for my rental house. Ordered through a large retailer and they couldn't install it due to shut off valve stuck. So needed a plumber to replace said Valves. Called around requesting quotes and Sam here was the most reasonable and fast in response. Asked for quotes he asked for more details and pics if possible. Got what he needed to see and got my prices. Saved me over $100 from these other companies that quoted me.

Sam was fantastic! I needed to replace three toilets so I solicited a number of quotes. Sam's quote came in on the lower end but after reading his reviews I thought I would give him a chance. I had a Saturday at 8:00 am appointment to change a toilet.  I wanted a round seat, dual flush to replace a habitually clogging toilet.  (I was NOT going to pay the last plumber I used, referred by home warranty, $900 to replace it.)  Anyway, I went to move my car out of my garage at 7:45 am (to make access easier) and Sam had just pulled up.  He brought exactly what I had asked for and Sam and Gregory had it installed in a snap.  While they were there I asked Sam to take a look at my HVAC.  Although I had the exhaust line vacuumed a few months back, there's some signs of moisture.  Sam pulled the cover panel (last guy didn't do that), put some water into the drain pan and showed me that it's draining slowly.  He blew out the line and it drained faster.  He also went outside to make sure the water was making its way out and it sure was.  He also looked at my filter and told me to change it out monthly - buy the cheap one and change it monthly!  He said call him next year and he'll do the full HVAC cleaning service ($185), which I didn't need today.  All he charged me for today was the toilet, at the previously quoted price, and they were done in under an hour.  I asked Sam for business cards - he gave me a fridge magnet and a few cards.  The magnet is on my fridge and Sam will be my first call for plumbing and HVAC!  And I will give out his cards!  Thank you, Sam!

The faucet in my bathtub/shower locked up and would not turn on.  I put out for a bid on Yelp and saw NPA had 5 stars and called them.  Sam told me what to do and how to buy the replacement parts so I went to home depot and purchased the parts.  Sam and his son showed up the next day and fixed the faucet.  We even made plans for additional work I will have him perform in both bathrooms in the near future!

Outstanding service! I called Sam on a Thursday night after work when my A/C went down. He offered to be at my place in 30 min. I actually had to put him off because I had somewhere to go. So he offered to come the next morning at 8am.

He showed up on time. He gave me a truthful assessment. It was a minor problem that he easily fixed. He didn't try to upsell me or find a problem that he could charge me to fix. He just diagnosed the issue and addressed it.

He also offered a nice discount for me as a veteran.

I had a pipe burst in my master bath. I just bought this house a few months ago, so you can imagine how bad I was freaking out. I called The Neighborhood Plumber and Air at about 1030am on sunday morning. I spoke to Sam, who was currently in the east valley working on a job at the moment. Before he headed over, he made sure to give me a call ahead of time and an ETA. Once Sam was able to analyze and diagnose what the issue was, he throughly explained to me what was wrong & gave me a quote. Being confident in his knowledge, I gave him the go ahead to work on the job! During the process, he showed me every detail of what happened and  explained why the pipe bursted and was leaking.  He even let me test out the shower to make sure that I was satisfied with his work & to give me reassurance that the leak has been fixed. I definitely would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a plumber! Very Reasonably priced, knowledgeable & great customer service.

Sam seemed to be very knowledgeable and told us to not worry about a few minor things in our inspection report. He fixed 2 taps with leaks and our water heater leak quite easily. He also fixed a bigger leak by cutting through the dry wall. Since we did not know any drywall person in the locality, Sam was very helpful in getting us in touch with a person and also scheduling him to come in right after the leak was fixed.

First of all, wow! Incredible plumber. Most honest plumber I have ever met.
Right off the bat he shared how a restoration company was not needed which made it clear to me the kind of plumber I was dealing with. Very honest with endless integrity.
Most plumbers only care about recommending a restoration company to get a referral fee which they care much more about than they ever do the plumbing job itself.  Not neighborhood plumbing. Sam was out at my house and cared much more about the job he was hired for then recommending a restoration company that is only in it for the money.
Sam came out and exchanged a leaking water heater and shared exactly what we are already going to do about the pedestal that got wet. He even shared to not call a restoration company and file a claim when there is absolutely no reason for it.
Again, call 100 plumbing companies to your house and 99 of them will do everything they can to get you to file a claim with your insurance and get a restoration company out there so they can receive a referral fee. But when you call neighborhood plumbing you get honesty which you almost never see in the plumbing world.
We strongly recommend neighborhood plumbing and air conditioning for all of your plumbing and air-conditioning needs. You will get a very fair price, honesty, and incredible work.

Sam is the Man!  Took care of a leak in my outdoor valve and replaced all the piping. Looks and works great now! Will use him again and he already assisted with a major leak that occurred in a sprinkler valve for a family member that flooded their street this morning. On a Saturday!! When our A/C unit went out on a Thursday afternoon before what was predicted to be the hottest weekend of the year so far AND we have an 11 month old baby in the house, we were in a bit of a panic. I sent out a request, and fortunately for us, the other repairmen couldn't make it out to us before the next week. Then I got in contact with Sam. He provided a quote over the phone AND was able to come out the next morning and start installing. We went from what are we going to do to sitting in a perfectly cooked down home in a few hours. This review is long over due! I contacted Sam for services about 2 months ago. I needed my drain pipes in my restrooms shortened to accommodate some IKEA vanities I purchased. I can't praise Sam and is son enough! Both were kind, knowledgeable and explained all the work that was being done. The pricing was super reasonable and they arrived when they said they would. To my surprise, they completed the job in less than an hour and this includes the time it took for them to go to the hardware store for specific material required for my job.  When they were done and it was time to pay, Sam charged me less than what was originally quoted! Sam was great. He stopped by to look over some minor repairs the day before he came to fix them. He wanted to know exactly what was going on. No extra trip charge! All work was done neatly, quickly, and at a very fair price.

I found Sam via Yelp when I sent a request for bids. So glad I did! He came out next day and helped me with sink valves, toilet valves and a broken washing machine valve. I got myself into a bind while trying to DIY--and he even showed me how to remove my old valves in case I wanted to do the additional bathrooms myself. He was so nice and professional I am probably done with any and all plumbing related DIY and will just call him. :-) His prices were much less than the other quotes I received. He is more than fair, he is friendly and professional, and extremely knowledgeable as well. We plan to have him back to help with additional items and it's so nice to know we have someone close that we can trust with repairs. Stop looking and just call him!

I would highly recommend using this company, I cannot say enough great things about my experience.  Sam came over first thing in the morning and got right to work.  My main sewer line was backed up and he was able to find the problem quickly (roots).  He helped me find additional clean-outs that the previous owners planted oleanders on, and even offered to help me pull them out to prevent the problem from happening again in the future.  Very nice people, great service, excellent price.  I highly recommend.

Sam is our hero! Our main waterline broke on Christmas Eve at 8:30 at night. We called an emergency service which came out that night and stopped it. They wanted A LOT to actually fix it. With a house full of guests and our only water coming from our neighbors hose we called Sam (The Neighborhood plumbing) on Christmas morning.  He came out about an hour later. We discussed replacing the main water line to the house and he gave us a quote drastically lower than the other plumbers. However, after some more digging  ( 2 ft down) it ended up that the problem was a connection and not a rotted pipe.  I didn't expect him to fix it Christmas Day.  About 3:00 I got a call from Sam he said he was out front. I walked out to find out he had come back and fixed it! We had our water restored! It was an amazing Christmas miracle! What plumber comes out on Christmas Day!  We have a plumber for life.

Had a leak in the kitchen wall on 12/30. Left a message late in the afternoon and Sam responded that he would come by at 10 am on New Years Eve. He discovered the drain was leaking into the wall and provided me with the name of a restoration company to come in and open up the wall and clean out the water and mold in the wall. I contacted them, and they came out and did their work, then Sam came back on New Years Day to fix the drain. He was wonderful, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and honest and we really appreciate his service.

Seriously, very knowledgeable. I just moved into our new home and upon turning on the main water we discovered a flood, I was soo terrified because this wasn't found upon inspection. So my deployed husband began inquiring for plumbing services, and Sam immediately replied, answered my call and said he was heading out from a job he had just finished over to me.. it ended up being our mist system and he was able to stop the flood, and suggested solutions if we decide to redo the whole system. I needed a plumber to connect a new sink we just purchased after redoing our countertops.  Got a hold of Sam. He told me he would have no problem coming first thing the next morning.  Never mind I live 30 mins from the city, he showed up a few minutes before he said he would come, which was awesome! We did a remodel on 2 master bathrooms and kitchen and found Sam through a referral.  Sam was amazing!  He did a great job, on time, wonderful work and reasonably priced.  We needed to find parts (not an easy thing with current shortage of materials and labor), and Sam had to make several trips to our home.  He was very accommodating and understanding.  When we finally got the right parts, he installed tub and set back in place.  Total, Sam replaced 4 bath faucets, 2 tubs, 2 showers and a kitchen sink.  All work perfect and look amazing.  Thank you and highly recommend!

Sam has been to our house twice to fix different irrigation system leaks. Both times he diagnosed and fixed the problems quickly and at a very affordable rate. The first time around we needed urgent repairs. Our next-door neighbor referred him to us, we called him on a Saturday and he was there within a few hours to repair the leak. I've never dealt with a contractor that responded to a call and came out to fix the problem the same day, especially on a weekend! We were definitely highly impressed with the quality and affordability of the service received and recommend The Neighborhood Plumbing and Air for all of your plumbing and HVAC needs.

Sam responded very quickly to our request for a quote and was out to our house in the same week. He actually offered sooner but our schedule just didn't work. We had our kitchen faucet taken out and replaced with a new one. He wore a mask the entire time and was very thorough. He even gave us tips for lengthening the life of our other faucets. Definitely recommend and will use this service in the future!

My water heater leaked on the day of Thanksgiving. I called around and searched on Yelp. Sam was really responsive and committed to fix my problem quickly. Even when he found we got a wrong sized water heater, he waited for our exchange. His charge is upfront and clear, which we appreciated a lot. First to reply to my inquiry.  Went out the same day, Fixed the leak.  Charged less than they quoted on the phone.  Easy to work with and pleasant.  All this over the weekend where others requested a fee for a weekend visit.  This was the first time for me, but now they will be my forever plumbers.

Our water heater broke earlier today aa it started leaking. Top notch service with the facetime call to turn off the heated water valve (I have no idea how to do this myself). A new water heater was installed same day. He showed up on time and got everything set up so we didnt have to go without heated water. His price is great and I would call him again for future services.

Sam went over to do a estimate on my underground pipe leak. He gives me an estimate which is a lot lower than the other 3 companies. Two days later he got the job done. Now no more leaks and we have hot water again. Thanks Sam and your son for doing a great job at a reasonable price.

Sam responded extremely quickly and stayed responsive until we had an appointment scheduled for the very next day.   He came out and brought his son as well as a teaching opportunity.  He fixed the issue within minutes and cost was under the estimate which he didn't have to do.  He lives in the community and left his card.  Great experience and would recommend to anyone.  Will certainly be using for all future plumbing needs.  Thank you Sam!

Sam did a couple jobs for me at two of my rentals.  It's really straight forward jobs like installing a faucet in a bathroom and reconnecting the kitchen sink connections after a new countertop install, but I was not available.  So I called around.  Sam is efficient and have reasonable pricing.

I had an AC issue that they came out and diagnosed as what seemed like an easy fix. Told me it was fixed, paid them and speak to my tenets that were there and it wasn't. The technician returned and made every attempt to accommodate and fix the situation, including  putting in a temporary solution. During all of this I get a call back that is indeed fixed and the AC is now working correctly, no temporary AC, everything is good. Get a call from my tenet shortly thereafter, whatever was done the power now won't stay on. So I notify the technician again and he says he will head back out. Meanwhile I have to pay for my tenets to stay in a hotel, ok, it is what it is. Get a message back later stating the power is on, nothing else. I informed him I would be there in two days and we can discuss what happened. Get into town on Sunday morning and send him a message, got nothing in return, no call back, no explanation of why my AC still wasn't working, nothing. Paid $725 for them to come out and worsen the situation to the point 3 other technicians couldn't figure out what they had done with the wiring of the AC unit and I had to get it replaced. I feel the experience wasn't bad up until the point of not returning my calls and flat out not explaining what was going on, not the way to treat paying customers, especially when you aren't the only game in town.

Sam was here within an hour on a Saturday afternoon. His rates were absolutely, unbelievably fair and he did a quality job. I actually had the part for the job and after installing it, he took it off and replaced it with a better valve as he didn't feel comfortable doing a less than perfect job. These days it is hard to find an honest contractor like Sam.

I called on a Sunday evening and Sam made time for me on Monday morning!  Professional, honest, friendly - job was completed in no time and so affordable.  I will never hesitate to call on him again.  Highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Sam to anyone with plumbing needs.  He offered friendly, prompt service and I felt very comfortable having him in my home.  We had an issue with our kitchen sink faucet and he gave us information on how to contact the manufacturer to utilize the lifetime warranty on our sink, rather than purchasing a new one.  He proved to be very knowledgeable, honest, and got the job done quickly.

Sam our plumber was amazing!! He's very sweet, knowledgeable, and fast. We haven't had anyone come over to our house in almost a year due to Covid so my dogs were very anxious and barking at first. Sam didn't mind at all and took time to learn their names, give them a treat, and also a few pets so that they felt comfortable. They calmed down and were Sams buddies for the next 45 minutes. He fixed the clog in our pipes that another handyman wasn't able to fix. Definitely recommend Sam and his team!

The owner, Sam responded to me right away and came to my house the next day to install a toilet and moved some lines for the sink in the kitchen.  He completed everything in about an hour at a very fair price.  He also gave me the reason I didn't have any hot water to the second floor.  When I order the circulation pump, I intend to have him do the install on top of the water heater.  I will also have him install a bidet on another toilet and a new faucet in the kitchen sink at the same time.  Sam is also an honest and an affable, friendly guy.  I'm honored to meet an honest and and skilled guy for things I can no longer do without getting ripped off.

I had a bit of a leaky valve emergency, but the plumber couldn't make it until two days later. So instead, he talked me through repairing the valve myself, and which one to buy at Home Depot. I followed his advice and fixed the problem myself. He saved me a couple hundred bucks for a house call. Outstanding!

I recently purchased a home and needed a leak and pressure regulator installed. He was the only one that would even give me an estimate on how much the project could cost and was available in a good time frame. He was very knowledgeable and while he was completing the job found that the main valve was not working properly and was able to fix it at the same time. So far everything has been working fine and I have no complaints.

I had an issue with a leaky faucet, and during my insomnia texted Sam at 4 am and he responded right away, and told me he would come after 9 (he came right on time at 9) on New Year's Eve, even though I told him it wasn't a rush job. Wore a mask, was courteous and friendly. Will use again for other services for sure!

I needed to have tankless water heater and water softener installed . I got 3 estimates from plumbers through Yelp. What I liked about Sam is that I could tell he really cared about his customers. He was almost half the cost of his competition . He gave me options and explained the pros and cons of each . The other companies were bigger and sent employees to give me quotes . Just the way they they banged around the house assessing what they needed to do left me with the feeling that they didn't really care about my property or the quality of the work. This was not the case with Sam. He respected the property and the owner. He was very knowledgeable. He was neat , orderly, clean and organized. The quality of his materials were the best and he was almost half the price of the competition. He showed up on time and completed the project in the time he said he would. I could not be happier.
