Tempel Roofing

After a severe storm, I noticed shingles in my yard and called Tempel Roofing to inspect based on the favorable Yelp reviews. I had a positive experience from the beginning of the process to the completed job and cannot say enough good things about Nate who we worked with throughout the process. Nate was very professional and knowledgeable and I was confident moving forward each step along the way. After inspection of my roof, it was determined that the whole roof would need to be replaced. Nate walked me through the entire process of what to expect dealing with the insurance company and was my liaison making the process incredibly easy. Nate was very responsive and able to answer all of my questions.

The install went very smoothly and the crew did a great job and completed the project shortly after insurance approval. I coordinated with Yousef on the actual install who did a great job of communicating timeline of the job, delivery of materials, and clean up of the job site.  

I highly recommend Tempel Roofing and Nate.

Waited almost two years to see if the roofing job held up. It has. I was pleased with the workers, although only one spoke good english. They did a good job and fixed some bad spots that a previous roofer had incorrectly repaired, before I bought the house.
Things I didn't like, were trying to upsell me on  roof vents that weren't needed. They didn't measure venting that I had before recommending more. I measured myself and verified that I was above minimum requirements and declined the additional vents. Other item was a threatening letter from some legal office if I failed to make payment, before anything was due. I was being covered by insurance, so what was that for? They didn't even have their numbers right on the letter.  Other item was their forgetting word of mouth agreements onsite during the work, such as number of water proof layers to avoid ice dams. We're in northern AZ.
Over all I'm pleased with the roofing job, but will probably try someone else next time.

Beware Homeowners of what you are getting yourself into with this company. I will list simple facts about how this company operates for you to hopefully see this before you make the mistake of signing anything.
1) The contract Tempel Roofing uses is no ordinary contract, it is an assignment of benefits contract that will strip you as a homeowner of all rights to your own claim and money that will come with it, leaving all rights to Tempel Roofing to supplement and take as long as they would like before putting your roof on, and you will legally have no say in the matter after signing this contract.(Tempel has customers that have been waiting over a year for their roof to be put on after insurance paid for full replacement.)
2) Tempel roofing will rush to get a front end check from you, the next tactic in the process is to collect money fast to fulfill a 30% cancellation fee should you decide you dont like Tempel Roofings handling of your business and the final step into fully trapping you behind the assignment of benefits contract you signed.
3) In the supplementing process between Tempel and your insurance company, you will see that they are billing your insurance company twice the amount of full replacement paid by your insurance, sometimes 3 times the amount, even after insurance paid for a full replacement, and this can take quite some time of which you have no say in the matter. Not to mention the fraud committed in the supplements such as charging for a safety class for his roofing crews. 1. this does not take place and 2. there are no in house crews affiliated with Tempel Roofing, they are subcontracted crews.
4) Should you have any problems during the process and would like to reach out to the office, good luck. The office is a vacant rented room for mailing purposes, there is no one in office to greet you or a receptionist to take your calls. It is almost a guarantee that if you call the office number you will go straight to voicemail.

The above is simple facts provided in hopes to inform homeowners, so that you can make an informed decision about the contractor you choose. There are plenty of roofing companies in the valley that will be truthful, helpful, and respectful throughout the process.

I can't say enough positive things about our experience working with Tempel Roofing. Not only did they seamlessly manage communications with our insurance company to process the coverage of our roof replacement, but they installed the roof promptly and quickly. This was all happening around some major life events for us, including welcoming a new baby, and they made the process totally painless which was very much needed and appreciated. In addition to being experts on all things roofing and building code (even more-so than the insurer), Ryan, Nate, Brenda and the entire team are ethical, sympathetic and hard-working. It's clear they value customer service and the human element of transactions like these. I give them the highest recommendation, and implore anyone looking for roofing help to reach out to them. You won't regret it.

My new roof was install earlier this week and I am extremely pleased with the results. From start to finish, Ryan Temple and his team are professional and trustworthy. The roofing team arrived in time, finished the job in 1 1/2 days, and left the outside of house spotless.  Tempel Roofing is a small locally owned business that delivers personal service and a superior product.

When our roof started leaking I began calling around to get estimates for a repair. Tempel roofing was both the quickest to get out to our house and came in with the lowest cost estimate (and they didn't try to nickel and dime me after the work was done either). Ryan was able to answer all my questions and concerns and gave great advice for changes I should consider making. Yousef was super easy to work with for the actual installation and even when I got nitpicky during the inspection afterwards, without hesitation he had a crew back out the next day to make my requested changes.

10/10 I would highly recommended to friends and family.

I'll be honest. Temple Roofing was not the first ones I called for my repairs. But they most definitely were my last. Ryan and company had me from the first time we talked. Not once did I feel pressured , stressed out or uncomfortable about this major job my house needed. I was always informed of my options, what was the next step needed. Now, the job is complete and it sure looks good. Thank you to everyone at Temple Roofing for making this such an easy and quick process.

Awesome service! Ryan came out today to evaluate my roof after a recent monsoon storm. He was extremely knowledgeable about the insurance adjustment and claims process. He was friendly, personable and didn't utilize high pressure sales tactics like some those other companies. He climbed up on the roof, took some pictures and debriefed with me afterwards. Ultimately, his recommendation wasn't to replace the roof quite yet. That type of honesty and trustworthiness is rare these days. I dreaded finding someone to address my roof and leak issues after the storms last year.  A friend recommended Tempel roofing with a glowing review and I thought it was too good to be true....  but, I was wrong and pleasantly surprised!!  Ryan (the owner) was professional, knowledgeable, thorough and managed to help me file a successful claim with my insurance company.  I would add a 6th star if I could!!!  Great experience

Tempel Roofing just completed the installation of a new shake roof on our house.  We cannot speak highly enough of the people we worked with and the work they did.  From the moment that Nate came to our house to provide an estimate, we have been amazed at the knowledge and work ethic he displayed.  In evaluating our old roof, Nate discovered storm damage which he assured us our insurance policy would cover.  Although skeptical, we turned the matter over to Nate to deal with our insurance company.  He handled our claim and dealt with the adjuster.  His hard work and persistence paid off when we received a sizable insurance coverage payment.  We next proceeded to make the necessary decisions on replacing the roof.  Although we had shake on the house, we asked Nate to explore other types of roofing to make sure we knew what was available and what would work best for us.  He found other available substitutes and provided us information on them.  We also asked him to look into certain additional work we wanted done when the roof was being replaced.  He researched each request and came up with several good ideas.  When we came to the decision to have shake and certain other work done, we turned the matter over to Nate who worked very much like a contractor.  He ordered the additional item/work we requested and scheduled everything including the start date to correspond with a trip we had to take out of town. We then left town on the start date for 2 weeks and left the entire matter to Nate to handle.  Nate was amazing.  Whenever there was an issue he contacted us with questions and options.  He took care of everything.  His effort was amazing.  Everything we asked for was handled with results beyond expectations.  Nate is a true treasure.  His work and effort was amazing.  The actual roofing work was excellent as well which Nate oversaw as well.  The roofers were professional and diligent.  The roof looks great.  As stated above, we cannot recommend Tempel (and Nate) enough.
